Global Core Edition

The Dark Secret of the Global Core

Maybe you’ve heard the phrase “global core” used in the media. Maybe you haven’t because you don’t read propaganda rags. Either / or is quite alright, because here at the Nibbler, it’s our job to educate the public on the real issues (even when certain people claim they ignore us because we’re not real news). Forget what you think you know about the Global Core. We’re about to get knee deep in some real shit and expose the soft underbelly of what the Global Core really is. Welcome to this Global Core Edition of the Nibbler!

The Global Core in Geopolitics
Image
Global Core people yay?

The Global Core is a geopolitical axis made famous in Yisraeli media to describe nations that are ostensibly white (even though people in Sydalon are various shades of brown, which is okay because we think brown women are hot). This includes Belisaria (the nexus point of vanilla white people from vanilla white nations), Northern Scipia (home of light-skinned brown people and jews) and Ghant (who are so white that white people think they’re too white. Go figure). The idea is that the Global Core nations are the world leaders in geopolitics, military and economic affairs (the only affairs Ghant is a leader in are extramarital).

We here at the Nibbler understand that there is, simply put, a superficial white exceptionalism stereotype at play here. This belief that somehow, white people are special, noble harbingers of civilization and they show the rest of the world the way. An ironic belief, considering that northern Ghant is so backward that a large segment of the population spends an exorbitant amount time collecting and burning dung in order to avoid freezing to death (with a junior hockey league team even going by the name of the Mondyn Dungsters).

Simply put, the nations in the Global Core don’t really have that much in common (aside from some religious commonalities, again with the exception of northern Ghant, which still worship magical trees). It almost seems forced…until you look at it a different way. You see, what if the Global Core isn’t a concept…but an actual place. A real place that a person can go to (in theory), then it makes way more sense. But where is this Global Core, you ask? At the center of the world.

The Global Core isn’t an axis. It’s a place!
Image
The Global Core is at the center of the world. Woah!

The Global Core is the part of the world at the center of our planet. It has a solid inner core and a liquid outer core. The outer core of the world is a liquid layer about 2,260 kilometers thick. It is made of iron and nickel (no dimes or quarters, unfortunately). This is above the world’s solid inner core and below the mantle. Its outer boundary is 2,890 km (1,800 mi) beneath the planet's surface. The transition between the inner core and outer core is approximately 5,000 km (3,100 mi) beneath the planet's surface.

The temperature of the outer core ranges from 4400 °C in the outer regions to 6100 °C near the inner core (hotter than the Emperor of Ghant’s love life). Eddy currents in the nickel iron fluid of the outer core are believed to influence the planet’s magnetic field. The average magnetic field strength in the planet's outer core is 25 Gauss, 50 times stronger than the magnetic field at the surface. Without the outer core, life on the planet would be very different. Convection of liquid metals in the outer core creates the planet's magnetic field. This magnetic field extends outward from the world for several thousand kilometers, and creates a protective magnetosphere around the world that deflects the Sun's solar wind. Without this field, the solar wind would directly strike the planet's atmosphere. This might have removed the planet's atmosphere, making the planet nearly lifeless (so basically Thule).

Meanwhile, the inner core of the world, as detected by seismology, is a solid sphere about 1,216 km (760 mi) in radius, or about 70% that of the Moon. It is believed to be an iron–nickel alloy, and may have a temperature similar to the Sun's surface, about 5778 K (5505 °C). Scientists have suggested that the inner core has two layers. The seismic wave data suggests that crystals in the "inner inner core" (we would’ve preferred the Global Core Core but alas) are in an east-to-west direction. Those in the "outer inner core" are lined up north to south. Another scientist commented: "If this is true, it would imply that something very substantial happened to flip the orientation of the core to turn the alignment of crystals in the inner core north-south as is seen today in its outer parts" (Gail in HR had really bad gas the other day from eating Mutulese food, so that could’ve been it). Other scientists are checking their data.

What’s at the Global Core?
Image
It takes some serious drills shaped like dildos to penetrate deep…into the planet’s crust.

The truth is always stranger than fiction. According to this “theory,” the planet is hollow on the inside (or at least some parts of it). “Located at 84.84 degrees North and South Latitude are Polar Openings that lead into the hollow interior of our planet where the Lost Ten Tribes of Ysrael today dwell in perfect harmony, with life spans equal to those of the Methuselahs of the Bible, whose only desire is to live in peace. Their flying saucers in defense of their country at times are seen on our surface world. They don't come to destroy, they are waiting...”

Seriously though, while the above link sounds like a bunch of bullshit, what if there’s something in the Global Core? A civilization perhaps, a race of beings that certain surface dwellers care a great deal about (here’s looking at you, Yisraeli media). What are their connection with white people on the surface? The reality of the situation could actually be quite sinister.

There’s been a decent number of science fiction and horror stories about malevolent beings that live beneath the planet’s surface. Ghant is conspicuously rich with such tales, including legends of tribes of Ghantar that got lost in caves and couldn’t find their way out. So they stayed down there and bred, and generations of them lived and died underground, creating a race of monster-men that devour anything they can find. Some stories even say that these beings eventually found their way back to the surface world, where they hunt men for their flesh and catch women to reproduce with.

If the truth is stranger than fiction, than the pretty lie is better than the ugly truth. The ugly truth could very well be that there is an ancient, and powerful race of beings that live beneath the world’s surface at its core…the Global Core, and it is the opinions, beliefs and values of these beings that drives the surface world forward. If all of the surface “Global Core” consist of nations of predominantly white people, then one must also assume that the actual Global Core is inhabited by beings with white skin.

Which brings us to our last, great assertion. White people in the world are the mutant descendants of subterranean beings who seek to dominate the surface world. All of those edgy black people were actually right all along. White people are mutant freaks with unnatural origins that deliberately impose their will upon the rest of the human race. Quick, Oxidentale, do something with this information (oh wait that’s right, you guys don’t read the Nibbler. Well shit I guess we’re all fucked).

The Master Race
Image
The original white people, from the Global Core.

For simplicity’s sake, let’s call these underground people the Morlocks. The Morlocks have lived at the Global Core for thousands of years, and while they may be extraterrestrial in origin, it’s more likely that they and surface humans share a common evolutionary ancestor. This common ancestor had some descendants that evolved on the surface (non-white people) and one that evolved at the Global Core (white people). These subterranean people, aka Morlocks, have an agenda to dominate life on the surface. But why?

I think the answer is pretty straightforward. It’s due to a combination of desiring control and envy / lust for brown people. Seriously, just ask yourself, how many white men do you know are attracted to brown women? We know quite a few here at the Nibbler (here’s looking at you, Michael of Dakmoor). The Morlocks are clearly lacking in diversified DNA. How many monarchies in the world are Belisarian in origin, and how many of them breed with their second cousins? Most of them, and why is that? To keep the bloodlines pure.

Though clearly not all of them want / like that. Men want what they do not have. To taste the forbidden fruit…cue exotic tan women. Fresh, divergent DNA that’ll make any crusty Morlock’s bedrock (see what we did there?). When in doubt, most of the world’s problems originate with women, so maybe that’s what the Global Core is all about. The subterranean world’s covetous pining for fresh meat.

In Conclusion
Image
The Morlocks need love too.

Next time you’re cruising through the internet or just reading the news and you come across the phrase “Global Core,” realize that it’s code with a hidden meaning. It doesn’t mean what you think it does…it isn’t about Ghant-Belisaria-Northern Scipia persay, but about the actual, literal Global Core at the center of the planet. There you will find a race of advanced, yet primitive ancestor of white people called the Morlocks. They want to do a few things. Control the surface world to maintain their power structure, exploit it for their natural resources, and slake their lusts upon brown women.

That’s it, simple as that. So next time you see an exotic woman from Oxidentale, Southern Scipia or Ochran and think “Holy shit she’s hot” realize that it’s your inner Morlock speaking, reaching out from the deepest recesses of your mutant DNA. That’s all we have for you today, and thanks for reading. Oh and remember all you white people, you just got Nibbled!

Anticipated Tuluran Movie Releases

Image
The Painting 'Meseret at Dhemjaga'

ARIMAL – Today is the premiere of the highly anticipated Tuluran war epic, The Ten Thousand Leagues(Wenarei: Wa-Ulssara Xeyalu Lighassi). Though many movies about the War of Ten Thousand Leagues have been made in the past, this century’s first rendition of the nation-defining war is estimated to be the most expensive Tuluran war film production of all time. The movie follows various prominent figures of the war on the political and battle side, with the full length directors cut version of the movie being up to four hours long. The two and half hour release version mostly focuses on the Battle of Dhemjaga, with the reformed Tuluran army of Meseret vs a battle-hardened and weathered Tarsan-Mundaqari army.

The Battle of Dhemjaga is viewed by many as the defining turning point in the War of Ten Thousand Leagues, where an epic number of soldiers met in a high speed bloody clash, contrary to the slow burn of much of the war. Tarsan co-director of the film, Giannis Anthes, told that over twenty-thousand extras, mostly volunteers from the Tuluran army, participated in the filming and are at multiple points in the movie on the screen at the same time. The movie ofcourse is the source of much controversy, especially in social media circles, where Tuluran and Tarsan audiences are against the film for misrepresenting their perspectives on the war.

The film was co-directed, by Giannis Anthes and Tuluran: Xerwit Thabor Yansin, with teams of historians to ensure an unbiased depiction of the famous battle. “While previous movies about this war and battle are classics.” Xerwit assured. “Many adaptions are bias and quite honestly, propaganda.” Controversy has also arisen from the massive army of all-Tuluran supporting extras, many say they do not accurately portray Tarsan or Mundaqari soldiers at the time, most common being the entire cast looks suspiciously Tuluran. Director Xerwit Yansin fired back, “The composition of the armies were rather diverse and that is shown in this movie, I don’t think ethnicity or skin color is important to depicting warfare and its horrors in this instance.”

Early reviews of the movie say that its cinematography and technicality is ‘astounding’. However, lacks character development and a concrete story in place of dazzling technicality.

Despite the controversy, the expensive movie is expected to open big in Tulura and around the world. What will the reception be?

"Many Nations Under One Roof"

Internal Corruption scandal grows; Idealists, Reformists seize initiative in Directory

Asahina, Kansei, R. Tsurushima - An upheaval in the national order continues in the lead-up to Labour Day as the corruption and bribery scandal which had affected a few of the most prestigious national educational institutions has reached the highest levels after revelations by a group of recently elected members of the National Directorate exposed abuse of power and manipulation of the system by the governance of four prefectures, several members of the Popular Assembly and at least three of the most prominent Central Directors. With the majority of the anti-corruption group which had compiled evidence wishing to remain anonymous, the new public face of the Directorate after the resignation of the Interior Director, and member of the Idealist faction, Director Yukimura Akira, emphasised the surprise in the Central Directory at the extent of the network of cronyism developed in the past two decades threatening the Ideal of the Republic and the great danger which several of his colleagues undertook in the investigations confirming their initial suspicions. The Special Investigations Unit of the National Kenpei (Gendarmes) is rumored to have run interference for past investigations and inquiries into manipulation of the National Examination and Selection System and the bureaucracy with veiled threats and attempted fabrications against interested parties. In the process, the "Young Idealists" within the Directorate had encountered threats from members of the SIU but had managed to leak sufficient evidence to involve the clandestine Shinsengumi task force against corruption and abuse. The arrested directors and governors were found to have worked with agents of private technology firms to subtly manipulate the anonymous National Examinations in favor of family members in return for favorable contracts and reduced corporate regulations, as well as skirted the strict restrictions on the personal finances of the civil service by using non-existent cooperative enterprises to run bribes and greater exchange of wealth. Practical probationary periods were also rated more favorably despite, in some cases, worse performance for some benefiting from nepotism in the Special Economic Zones of the four Prefectures under investigation.

Members of the SIU, Directors Yamazaki, Shimono, and Lei Kapono, assemblymen and local prefectural police also stand accused of obstructing and suppressing cases involving physical and sexual abuse by members of the new class of influential entrepreneurs in the SEZs, local directors, and their family members. Civil Law Director Takashi Saeko made it clear that the apolitical Shinsengumi task force, spearheaded by veteran investigator Okita Tamao, will temporarily take the role of the National Gendarmes in seeking out and purging elements of corruption, and abusers and exploiters of subordinates. The leader of the Third Way Movement for the Republic Party, one considered the most sympathetic to capitalistic reforms in the Diet, and who has made a fortune in the SEZs through his pharmaceutical innovations, Assemblyman Suzumi Genzo, has also reportedly been involved in using his popularity and influence in his local Senkawa Prefecture and nationally to silence victims. Assemblyman Genzo reportedly cooperated with Director Yamazaki to allow for price-fixing of essential life-saving drugs to public hospitals, unnecessarily burdening the health system. Charges of exploitation of the people and disruption of the Republic are expected for those involved with the highest punishments possible to be sought by the prosecution, to ensure the culture of patronism and corruption prevalent in foreign nations does not take root in the Republic. Despite these issues, Director Yukimura assured the public that cronyism and clientelism are still not as prevalent in the Daitoa Republic as it is statistically in the Far Western nations dominated by cultures of greed.

Director Yukimura explained that while support for friends and family through better positions in the system might seem noble to some, it has long restricted access to positions for more qualified or talented to reach their full potential in their fields, and creates unfortunate artificial pressure, expectations and disappointment which the Sociological Director attributes to the rise in hikikomori in the so-called Lost Generation where many talented young individuals had trouble finding fulfilling work. Increased lifespans and quality of life has already created economic pressure in important professional fields as the more populous generation born in the economic boom of 1960-1980 remain in their work periods longer. New provisions planned to be presented to the general body of the National Directorate will aim to rectify perceived clientelism and provide for easier enrollment into the national professional associations and greater subsidies support for infrastructure engineering projects. The Public Health Director Saitō Saori urged her colleagues in a closed session of the Central Committee to find common ground to rebuild confidence in the Republic and return to greater reverence for the Five-Petal Blossom Ideal of the Republic, particularly the common goals that exist between Idealist, Pragmatist and Reformist members.

Director of Scientific Advancement and elder statesman, Dojima Satoru, openly praised the actions of his more idealistic counterparts as indicative of "an auspicious and progressive future" if due diligence, restraint of power, and commitment to proper justice are followed through. "We have dealt a critical blow to the oppression of greed and corruption today", a public statement from Director Dojima's office read.

The fallout from the corruption crisis and potential idealistic reforms are viewed with some anxiety by some in the Special Economic Zones, particularly in the more liberal Seisiyet and Songak Prefectures in the Kahei Republic, long considered to be havens for financial improriety and lax oversight, with the latter only having been annexed to the Republic in 1983 after two centuries of Fakolan administration and has maintained considerable autonomy since. Former Director Shimono in particular was considered one of the most friendly to the Arthuristan dominion of Lion's Rock and favorable to open trade and investment with Belfras and the Belisarian Community sphere. While the Foreign Affairs Director does not express concern, it is possible the removal of some of Arthurista's allies from the Directorate could exacerbate the fragile diplomatic situation in Lion's Rock.

HEROES OF THE REVOLUTIONARY PEOPLE'S ARMY DEFEAT FOREIGN SUBTERFUGE, CAPTURE HIGH TECH SPY PLANE

Image

Soldiers raise their weapons in triumph at their victory over the capitalist-imperialist spies

SURTATSANG, UNION OF SOCIALIST PEOPLE'S REPUBLICS - At approximately 3:30 AM this morning, elements of the 73rd Special Air Defense Guard detected and grounded an aircraft conducting an unauthorized flight in Lungwa Province in the northern Ruig Socialist People's Republic. Although little information can be safely corroborated at this point, it is known that the plane in question is of Enyaman origin, and heavily speculated that it was conducting espionage in the skies above the Union. Initially appearing to struggle, the spies were quickly spotted and apprehended.

The officer in charge of the operation, Colonel Mongke Jigme, had this to say:

"I believe it's obvious that this is a spy plane, and that these are spies testing our proud air defense network. [. . .] But I don't think they would dare challenge the might of the Revolutionary People's Army. If I had to guess, the bourgeois dictatorship in Enyama sought to test out their new toy by entering our airspace. As you can see, it was a bad plan."

While a statement from the Defense Commision is still being prepared, the Commissioner has stated that it is unlikely any "serious information" was compromised in the attack. The Rose of Kalapa will have more on this story as it develops.

Supreme Commissariat pulls Liothidia out of economic deal with Nekulaturnya

Image
State Commissar Katja Hoepfner explaining the Supreme Commissariat's decision to reporters

The Supreme Commissariat has announced the immediate termination of the Liothidian-Neklaturnyan Economic Development Agreement. The government cited “unmet anti-corruption targets” and poor economic management of projects as justification.

Addressing reporters, State Commissar Katja Hoepfner said, “following meaningful discussions with experts and officials from the finance, industry and labour ministries, businesses and corporations, we have decided to terminate the economic development agreement with Nekulaturnya.

“For the past twenty years, we have sought to foster friendship and neighbourly goodness through trade and economic development of the western regions of Nekulaturnya. Sadly, due to corruption, inefficiencies and mismanagement this agreement is no longer viable” she said.

The Official Notifier showed that the Supreme Commissariat had voted unanimously in favour of dissolving the agreement.

The agreement, signed in 1999, is the last remaining vestige of the Liothidian Occupation of Nekulaturnya, that lasted from the end of the Northern War in 1998 until 2002. The agreement was devised to aid in reconstruction, economic development and improved cross-border infrastructure. The agreement reportedly allowed Liothidian companies to establish branches in the region and as of 2018, employ over 800,000 locals. Despite its success in some areas, many projects under the agreement have been dogged by corruption and Nekulaturnyan organised crime.

Last month, the director of the Liothidian Economic Group for Nekulaturnya, Gustav Haldermann, reported to the Central Committee, “for many years now, we have requested and pleaded for both local and national authorities in Nekulaturnya to confront obstacles to proper reconstruction and development. Frankly, we urged them to confront the criminality that seeing Liothidian investment be stolen gratuitously, they have failed to do so.”

The Assembly Group on Economic Development produced a report earlier this year warning that “fundamental weaknesses and flaws in the Nekulaturnyan government have been and remain active, in hindering the success of Liothidian economic assistance and generosity. It is now with the realm of possibility, that Liothidian direct investment is fuelling and funding criminality and corrupt officials at all levels of governance.”

State Commissar Hoepfner explained to reporters, “by withdrawing from the agreement, we are requesting that all Liothidian businesses and state-owned enterprises and corresponding subsidiaries to withdraw their operations from Nekulaturnya and resume operating under standard government mandated standards.”

Asked if the move would prove detrimental to the Nekulaturnyan government and economy, State Commissar Hoepfner said, “it this decision leads to negative changes to the economy, then it should be noted that all fault and blame falls upon the Nekulaturnyan monarchy, which has for almost twenty-years consistently failed to meet our expectations and modest demands in combatting corruption.

“This country does not exist to prop up ineffective and weak governments, nor countries and states that openly embrace foreign exploitation be it through dynastic arrangements or economic relations” she said further.

The State Commissar was also asked if this was related to comments made by one of her comrade-colleagues. Earlier that morning, State Commissar Karl-Franz Oberstein told an audience of diplomats, “we must accept that something has changed in Belisaria. The pursuit of dynastic objectives by some states have upended the perfect balance of mutual understanding. We are now entering a period of renewed mistrust, doubt and suspicion. We are now in a period that has paths toward very dangerous situations.”

She replied, “in relation to the speech made by my dear colleague, no, they are not related. The decision made by the Supreme Commissariat is one entirely dependent upon the issues at hand. This is an economic decision driven by a desire to see appropriate usage of investment and improvements in business environments. This has not happened after twenty years, and so we are withdrawing.”

SUPREME CHAIRMAN URUKHAI KHAN DEFENDS LIOTHIDIAN DEFENSE OF BOREIOS SEA, CONDEMNS REACTIONARY AGGRESSION

Image
"Oppressed peoples of the world can be liberated only through struggle. This is a simple truth of history."

KALAPA, UNION OF SOCIALIST PEOPLE'S REPUBLICS - At approximately 8:00 AM this morning, Supreme Chairman Urukhai Khan condemned what he called "imperialist aggression from a reactionary and illegitimate regime in Latium". He went on to declare that the people's government of the USPR "fully supports the Boreios Strategic Policy and stands with the people of Liothidia in their defense against imperialism and the scourge of monarchist reaction." The Supreme Chairman called for the world to recognize Liothidia's right to defense, and to condemn aggressive moves made by Latium.

This event comes in the wake of years of sour tensions between the two states, not only militarily but also economically. The worst reactionary regimes in Belisaria have conspired to weaken and isolate Liothidia wherever possible, using methods that are as cowardly as they are insidious. The cold, decrepit hands of these regimes seek to destroy and reverse the immense gains of the people's revolution. They live in fear of the day, one that is coming soon, their own oppressed peoples will rise up and topple them. The frightened dog barks loudest.

The rapid expansion of the people's navy in Liothidia is nothing short of miraculous, a feat the stumbling capitalist regimes of Belisaria could never hope to compete with. They cannot compete, they cannot contain. Their every attempt to weaken the brave proletarian republic in Liothidia has failed. The party vanguard there is simply too dedicated, the people's faith in revolution too strong, and the proletarian dream too quickly becoming a reality. The only tool left to the swine who lord over the regime in Latium is to mewl over "Liothidian aggression", to cry fat, fake tears about a liberated people daring to defend themselves.

Meanwhile, their unbridled support for tyranny in Nekulaturnya has turned it into a wellspring of corruption, whose fountainhead is none other than the Latin regime. The misrule of the king in that nation is famous worldwide. The aristocracy there enriches itself off the fat of that nation's land and the toil of its long-suffering people. All efforts of benevolence by the Liothidian state have been squandered there. The truth is that the reactionary class requires this tyranny to survive, to function. Its powerbrokers can no more trust each other than they can trust the people. Wealth in the hands of the people, power in the hands of the people, is to these ossified hierarchies what a flame is to paper.

The plain truth is that they can only sustain their lifestyles and their rule through the oppression and exploitation of the citizenry. Every measure to bring about socioeconomic reform, and thus equity to society and the gradual obsolescence of class, must be frustrated. Capitalism is an ugly business, the "developed" capitalist states must export their sorrow to weaker nations. The workers will not tolerate the worst excesses of capitalist exploitation, so it must be exported to where it will be tolerated. Latium is a vast parasite whose many tendrils seek to worm their way into the flesh of Belisaria. It will always protest when its bloodsucking is frustrated, where its position is threatened. These cries must be refused. Indeed, it is the workers of Latium who must cry out for liberty! For an end to imperialism everywhere!

This news organization frankly applauds the forward-thinking actions of the Liothidian People's Navy and the Supreme Commissariat in confronting a brewing crisis head-on, and excising a fat sore in the process. The Latin regime must be confronted and contained wherever possible, it is the greatest threat to liberty that the world knows today. The All-Union State Affairs Commission will meet tomorrow to discuss the event. The Commission is expected to draft an emergency condemnation of Latium.

Her Illustrious Highness the Grand Princess Selene has given birth to twins, a healthy girl and boy. Princess Selene reportedly went into labor around 23:00 last night, and gave birth to her daughter at around 10:44 on the morning of 25 May 2019. Her son with the Grand Prince Audric followed soon after, at 10:59, further securing the line of succession to the Seredinian throne. According to a press release from the Mercy Hospital of Zolodolina, where the children were born, each child weighs about two and a half kilograms, or five and a half pounds. What follows is a direct transcription of the announcement made at 13:00 central Seredinian time by the office of the Sovereign, and broadcast on national radio:

"Our family is delighted to announce the birth of twins to the Grand Prince, Audric, and his wife the Grand Princess Selene of Latium. The children weigh two and a half kilograms each; the Grand Prince was present for the birth, and the immediate families are present or enroute to Zolodolina currently. The Grand Princess and her children are each resting, and all are healthy."

Names for the two children are expected to be announced within the week, and betting organizations have placed each of Charles, Alexander, and Joseph as favorites for the newborn Prince; while Irina, Sophie, and Eleanor have quickly become favorites for the newborn Princess.

CASTELONOVO - Today, the Prime Minister Rita Maynard announced in a press conference this morning the enactment of more commercial tariffs to imported products, which is the first pillar of the government's new National Economic Plan. Rita, who was accompanied by the Minister of Economy Celso Duarte, said to reporters that the new economic policy is "crucial for the development of a stronger national industry" and the decree is the "first of a series of acts that will change our economy for the better." Later, Celso said to journalists that the decree will not cause any harm to foreign companies already present in Lusittia, but will protect national industries from "unfair external competition."

According to the information released today by the Government Gazette, the decree will raise the current tariffs from 17,5% to 22% - the third change since 2016. Other policies include the creation of quotas for foreign companies with industries in regards to the employment of Lusittians and additional workplace safety regulations as approved by the Work Safety Act of 2018. The reason for additional workplace safety laws is due to the creation of the National Economic Plan (PNE), which aims to grow the Lusittian economy. Despite the creation of economic packages to small and medium companies; massive investment in the national industry, agriculture and infrastructure in addition to the introduction of protectionist measures to avoid "unfair" competition with major foreign companies. Although recently introduced, it is believed that the PNE was proposed years ago by Prime Minister Rita.

The policy received mixed reactions. In the National Assembly, the Labour Party-led coalition responded positively, with the three parties declaring full support to the plan. However, the parliamentary opposition composed of the Christian Democrats, Liberal Alliance and National Union were less supportive. The leader of the National Union, Bianca Antunes, said to journalists outside Élfica Palace today that the Prime Minister's decree is a "clear proof that shows the true face of Rita to Lusittia: a socialist politician who will ruin our country." Pedro Bittencourt, leader of the Liberal Alliance, also voiced his disapproval, saying that "it is the responsibility of the National Assembly to see and decide the future of the National Economic Plan, not the executive branch through its decrees." The Castelonovo Stock Exchange closed today at a low, expressing the lack of interest by a significant part of investors concerning the plan.

It's expected that the Government will give more information about the decree and the PNE itself next Monday. The Superior Court of Justice didn't make any comment thus far, however, it's very likely that the court will demand parliamentary participation in the project. If the Superior Court acts, the PNE may see the National Assembly vote on the matter, which would see the plan delayed almost a month.

Monouo Breakthrough Successful; Push to Pulpolis begins

David Chandlers
Jun 4, 2019

Pulpolis — As skirmishes continue to the south of the last PLF stronghold, separated by the Vorenus River from the rest of the PLF held territory, the Monouo Legion struck another decisive blow against their northern enemies.

On June 4, Monouo Legion Command reported that it had broken through the PLF's secondary defensive line north of the town of Harriston. It also reported that the forces had repulsed a PLF flank from the north-east with minimal casualties.

This comes on the back of the Monouo's successful crossing of the Vorenus south of Harriston in late May, despite not being able to secure the town itself, and pushing north-west toward Pulpolis. The PLF were relying on the secondary defense line to hold until reinforcements could be deployed, making this a decisive blow against the defense of Pulpolis.

The PLF recently saw a string of victories around the town of Porcaul, keeping the advancing KDF armies at bay as evacuation of supplies and troops continued across the Romney River. Monouo and the UKF continue to put pressure on the PLF, however, and March's loss of Telai Airbase to the UKF primed the Monouo for this advance, opening the door to what was deemed "an inevitable victory" against the PLF.

The Monouo Legion is receiving support from the Polynesian world, especially from Pulau Keramat, which has provided it with equipment, training, and the necessary strategic initiative to carve out the south-eastern corner of Kalakora. It has been seen as an underdog upstart, which the International Center for Geopolitics has categorized as "strong".

Since 2016, the PLF has been pushed south by the UKF, after the collapse of their fragile alliance in the wake of communist demonstration in the eastern UKF territory. This has put them in contention with the Monouo, who have pushed north to secure the territory between Lake Hi'ilawe and the Vorenus, which it has claimed since declaring independence from Kalakora in 2011.

With this movement, the PLF's position has now been shifted from "weakened" to "precarious" by the ICG, reflecting the state of the faction as being "in a dire position that may degrade at any moment". The loss of Pulpolis would put the already weakened PLF into a seemingly unsurvivable position, placing the future of the communist faction into jeopardy.

The city's southern defenses continue to hold, however the north is now vulnerable against the Monouo, with only the river being the last obstacle against the advancing army. If/when the city falls, it may mean the end of the PLF after nearly 7 years of fighting.

Principality formally announces Catalia Abellán courting Alaryk Claemur of Skraelingia

By: Olivia Sandino
6 June 2019

VILLA ROMERA - By formal decree of the Prince, the government released an official dispatch today which confirmed rumors that had allegedly circulated around noble circles and beyond for months: The Prince's only daughter, Catalia, has taken to courting Alaryk Claemur, the oldest son of the House of Claemur, which rules over the state of Skraelingia, located within the Ottonian Federation. The news comes with mostly positive feelings among Gran Aligonia's nobility; after Prince Virxilio's death in February, many rightly assumed that the newly-crowned Veremundo would go against his deceased father's wishes and allow his children to court outside of Gran Aligonia. Both Catalia and her more controversial older brother, Duke Verucio, had caused media turmoil as they came of age as they independently noted that they wouldn't be seeking romance through the proper channels: both considered their Grandfather's demands that they marry only Gran Aligonian nobility "archaic" and, in Verucio's words, "ludicrously senile".

Though this change in policy will bring Gran Aligonia into the international norm regarding marriages of extant nobility, a loud but small minority among Gran Aligonia's nobility have nevertheless resisted the Prince and his children's decisions. Duke Alexandre del Villar of Tarraro, a longtime critic of the Prince's children, reportedly called the courtship announcement "...a great defiling of our national character and longstanding marriage traditions". Duke Alexandre garnered heavy criticism earlier this year for calling Duke Verucio an "unchecked, undressed baboon", and entering into a well-publicized physical altercation with the young Duke. Unlike her boisterous brother, Catalia Abellán has a noticeably more guarded attitude towards her noble status, and a reputation of preferring Gran Aligonia's "new money", whether in the form of fashion houses or avantgarde spiritual retreats on the easternmost islands of the archipelago.

Image
'

Now that the Principality's secrecy over the matter has ended, many among the islands still find their most pressing questions unanswered. Some of Catalia's followers have asked her why she has chosen to marry into nobility (albeit, quickly disappearing nobility: the Ottonian line of succession is shooting into political irrelevance starting in 2020) instead of hold true to her earlier-professed values and forsake her nobility entirely. Catalia hasn't responded as of yet to any queries, no matter how much they seem to eliminate her ideological integrity. Some more reactionary forces among the Aligonian social sphere, including famed fashion designer Fidel Ulloa, have posited the question that Catalia may have been forced, or at least coerced, by her father into seeking a high-profile marriage, in order to make up for the chronic bachelorism that her brother seems to exhibit.

Regardless of the reasons behind the apparently sudden courtship, the statement indicates that both parties are optimistic about the relationship, and intend to spend more time together in the coming months. For Prince Veremundo, this announcement functions both as a diplomatic success and as an additional motivator to achieve similar results for his heir, Duke Verucio, who has both resisted and avoided long-term attachment for decades, eschewing it for the typical Aligonian lifestyle of high-stakes gambling, lavish parties, and brief stints with supermodels. With the nation becoming increasingly stratified and the rich increasingly losing their economic hold over the nation, will the ancient system be able to find new life in a new era? Or will it, like Prince Virxilio, sputter on well past when it should have ended, thwarting even the people intended to benefit from it?

The Rogue State: Examining the Enyaman drift towards authoritarianism

KARASUNA - Two decades ago, the Federal States of Enyama was seen as an ideological bastion of left-libertarian thought in Norumbria, despite heavy interference from both unorganized and organized crime. Though the roots of that identity had their start in the 1893 revolution which overthrew the Tsurushiman colonial apparatus, it was noted efforts by Enyaman politicians and thinkers in the 1950s, such as Mino Yoshifusa and Kamata Jo, which transformed that revolutionary spirit, typical of newly-created states, into a functioning identity based around an objective of fostering growth and opportunity for all. At least, ideally. The Enyaman government's federal system often prevented it from interfering in the affairs of its constituent states by design, and that neutering of governmental power seemed only to increase as regionalism prevailed in the Asenbura. In 1970, Enyama's economy dipped tremendously and exposed the lack of functioning welfare institutions throughout the nation. It didn't take long for regionalism to spawn its own ideological movements: Olkota separatists captured over a hundred tourists inside of the Avanteria museum in 1977, and, in a culmination of Enyama's ideological troubles, communist revolutionaries stormed the Enyaman government complex in 1989, in what is now known as the Karasuna Incident. The revolutionaries failed, but their interests remained intact within the organized crime world, and Enyama slowly began to bleed the last of its reputation as a land of opportunity.

From a modern perspective, it's hard to believe that the crowded and cosmopolitan streets of Karasuna were a battleground only thirty years ago, and indeed, that's partly due to the actions of the New Frontier party. Rising to power in 2005 after an unexpectedly successful grassroots campaign, the party doesn't have an official list of goals, nor does it attempt to ideologically align itself with any old movement. Headed by the enigmatic Muratagi Eijrio, upon rising to power, the party swiftly cracked down on organized crime - extrajudicially - and instituted a new recruitment drive for Enyama's then-fledgling military. With vast works projects aimed at eliminating unemployment, a renewed focus on nuclear power, and an entirely new skyline for many of the nation's traditionally built cities, it seemed by the end of the decade that the New Frontier party had begun to occupy a decidedly right-wing industrialist agenda. By 2011, when the Enyaman state declared "world socialism" and related ideologies to be banned, even more about Muratagi and his New Frontier party had become ideologically clear. The state soon began posturing against its southern neighbor, the Skaldafen Confederation, on ideological grounds, and instituting a controversial police state in the Skaldanian-majority state of Erisa and its capital of Akutera.

Image
Enyaman soldiers walk past an Internal Troops roadblock in the outskirts of Karasuna; roadblocks and military installations have become a common sight in Enyama.

As the Federal States prepare to enter the next decade, the New Frontier train moves onwards, despite an increasingly rocky ride. Political opponents in Kubota Fujimaro of the progressive Horizon party and No Au of the resurgent socialist party have done much to provide a steady opposition against Muratagi and the rest of the New Horizon party. However, its policies nevertheless run unchecked, creating many supporters in Enyama's rural regions and bolstering the military to a strong force of over three hundred and fifty thousand soldiers. For many who suffered under the political strife of the 21st century, the New Frontier party and any boogeyman it creates to fuel its constituents serve as a welcome change of pace from two hundred years of infighting, revolution, and constant rebirth. In Karasuna, considered a stronghold of the New Frontier party, soldiers and Internal Troops patrol the streets alike, proudly brandishing their uniforms and their weapons as posters of Muratagi Eijiro line the streets. Some worry that the presence of these troops will cause intimidation at polling booths when the Enyaman election in August occurs.

International observers have long considered Muratagi's Enyama an illiberal democracy, though in the last year, the state appears to have embarked on a much more authoritarian push with its "Twelve Eras" cultural movement. The movement attempts to create a new, unified identity in a nation that has historically had issues with maintaining a solid set of national values. New Frontier's values seem steeped in Olkota and Tsurushiman animism and culture and attempt to create an exaggerated mythology of the Enyaman people, divided into "Twelve Eras" of heroism. Many see the worrying signs of fascism within these recent cultural pushes, as an attempt to create a dichotomous paradigm between certain echelons of Enyaman society and paint the Enyaman people as benevolent saviors; the "rightful Northumbrian people". Where international news outlets often lampoon Enyaman mistakes, particularly in the capture of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sakata Emio and her entourage by Jhengtsang in May, domestic news outlets remain silent, and political opposition to Muratagi's cause appears increasingly limited.

A new era of the Enyaman people appears to be on the brink - and it doesn't look pretty for everyone. Even though the nation's numerous other minorities have maintained some semblance of relations and representation within the Enyaman government, many within these communities now ask themselves if they will be next, after the Skaldanian minority. Though the Skaldafen Confederation has been vocal in its support for its minority, nations in the Belisarian Community such as Latium and Arthurista continue to maintain friendly relations with the Enyaman state, as does Skaldafen's southern neighbor of Belfras. Many, including Kubota Fujimaro, have wondered openly if these pragmatic alliances provide Muratagi's Enyama with the security that it needs to tighten its grip on those considered "undesirable". With domestic tensions increasingly higher, one can only wonder what comes next for Enyama in the 2020s - will all of the authoritarian impulses of the New Frontier culminate in some form of dictatorship? Or will the nations many regionalist forces put aside their differences and unite to defeat Muratagi?

Opposition leader Gewirk wins Tisfun recall election
Tisfun, Iotopha

Nebez Gewirk (above) and the Iotophan opposition defeated pro-government candidate Begzadeh in a landside recall election.

Tisfun: Nebez Gweirk, dubbed the chief opposition leader in Iotopha, celebrated a landslide election over pro-government challenger Daraz Begzadeh. In March, Gweirk won re-election as Governor of Tisfun province over Begzadeh by a slim margin, leading lead an investigation into the election and eventual recall election attempt spearheaded by President Berxwedan’s Revolutionary Workers’ Party.

The challenger, Begzadeh a former governor of the province first defeated by Gweirk in 2016, conceded the election late last night after polling indicated a 15 point defeat. Gweirk defeated Begzadeh by nearly 200,000 votes, gaining on his silm March victory of only 2 points. Gweirk claimed the election was “a clear victory for the people” in his victory speech where he thanked the people of Tisfun. Gweirk is leader of Citizens United, and the leading opposition coalition, Power to the People.

President Berxwedan was quick to claim the opposition interfered in the March election by use of widespread voter intimidation and early closing of polling places. He campaigned heavily for former Governor Begzadeh, signaling an unwillingness to work with Governor Gweirk if his tenure continued. However, he has not yet indicated whether he will challenge the results of the recall election in the state's constitutional court. Along with the loss of Tisfun province, the national government leading-PKS lost 5 other provinces, resulting in the party’s largest string of losses since Berxwedan was elected its General Secretary in 2007.

Amid Tarsan Arms Shipments, Enyama's military reaches 400,000 active members
By Millis Archer
July 3, 2019

Image
Recently re-kitted Enyaman forces bare their teeth in a July parade through the city streets of Karasuna | Karata Michio, Department of Public Affairs of Enyama

KARASUNA — Enyaman military buildup seems to have reached a small peak, as the government announced on 1 July that it had achieved its growth target of 400,000 active service members across all branches ahead of its 2020 schedule, due to the unprecedented success of the recent recruitment drive. The uptick in numbers comes amid several important geopolitical developments for the Norumbrian nation, both domestically and internationally. After captive Minsiter of Foreign Affairs, Sakata Emio, delivered an internationally controversial speech condemning both the government of Jhengtsang and her own New Frontier majority rule, large protests broke out in the streets of major cities in Enyama, including Akutera, Karasuna, and Fujikawa. Though the protest situation is still developing, the majority of the protestors appear to be heeding Sakata's words by "holding Muratagi Eijiro responsible"; many among the protestors are professed members of either the Enyaman socialist party or major Enyaman labor unions. The New Frontier government has yet to deliver a formal response to the Unionite request for negotiations or to the protestors, but instead seem focused on percieved good news by announcing unprecedented military growth for the formerly neutral northern nation.

The news of military growth coincides with major deliveries of Tarsan arms ordered in late 2018, including the first 250 of a planned 1,000 T80125-M10 main battle tanks, 100 Me-550D fighter aircraft, various next-generation mortars and artillery, and various accessories and ergonomics intended to update Enyama's military to the modern age. In addition to Tarsan arms shipments, Enyama has announced that it would double patrols along the Skaldafen border and change training protocols into producing more effecitve soldiers. In an Enyaman Armed Forces dispatch this morning, Minister of Defence Watanabe Keisho confirmed that the new military developments were developed with countering "aggression by Jhengtsang, Liothidia, and other socialist aggressors" in mind, and that the next target of the military would be to reach the original 2022 goal of 500,000 active peacetime members as early as possible. Given Enyaman success in fostering recruitment and equipment update efforts until now, many wonder how fast the Enyaman military will continue to grow - and how the Enyaman government will continue to maintain its recruitment momentum amid a fairly stagnant economy and still-stable geopolitical situation.

The answer to these questions may come twofold; some have argued that Muratagi's New Frontier government is due to use the new troop strength to crack down on both native Skald and politically dissenting Enyaman opposition, including worker's unions currently protesting or rioting after Minister Sakata's speech. Other concerns regard a recent Enyaman interest in the Kalakoran Civil War, where early whispers have indicated that Enyama may be providing tangible military support to ethnically similar Daitoan forces in the area, potentially going against its stated support for Belisarian interests in the region. Outside of conflict intervention, Muratagi Eijiro has indicated that he intends to use the military to build and maintain various forms of new Enyaman infrastructure, including motorways, bridges, and nuclear power plants. Nuclear power plants have been discussed as a possible point of negotiation regarding the return of the Enyaman diplomatic mission currently captured in Jhengtsang, though it's hard to tell what the burdgenoning Northern Dragon is bound to do with its newfound conventional power.

RACIST, HYSTERICAL ENYAMAN FOREIGN MINISTER CONDEMNS ENYAMAN REGIME

Image
Supreme Chairman Khan keeps composure as Foreign Minister of Enyama Sakata Emio insults the Unionite people

KALAPA, UNION OF SOCIALIST PEOPLE'S REPUBLICS - "Jhengtsang and Enyama, for all of their stark and seemingly impossible-to-reconcile differences, have shifted into surprising similarity to me, in a lot of ways." the Foreign Minister of Enyama, Sakata Emio, began her speech. The Supreme Chairman stepped away from the podium, offering the declining woman a moment to speak her peace. Fueled by a tempest of emotion, the Foreign Minister thundered a condemnation of the regime in her country and its corrupt dictator. Lambasting the regime's ineptitude and cruelty, she went on to describe the embattled President Muratagi as a delusional madman, willing to employ any and all measures to cling to power.

Ms. Sakata went on to condemn the Unionite people, denying their intellectual capacity and freedom. In full display was the ignorance and condescension of a member of the bourgeois class, the sociopathic worldview not only held by the Foreign Minister but by all agents of international capital. The Foreign Minister also went on to condemn her treatment while in detention, though only going into the vaguest of details. No doubt because she had made it up on the spot, her face a visage of petty venom at the honorable Chairman's agreement to let her speak. Her tirade came to a close with an emotional plea for negotiation between the governments of the two nations and for President Muratagi to make the rational, humane choice.

Without losing a moment of grace, Chairman Khan went on to echo her calls for peace, and made it clear that any abuses perpetrated by a citizen of the Union would not be tolerated. An investigation is pending on the matter.

AI Ready For War? Think Twice
Carduki Mekanike and Tarsan Aegein astound, though perhaps not as they expected
BY SALFARIZE KEBAEZE

Image
Aerial drones are universal on the modern battlefield
KOTAYK, TARSAS - It was a hot summer day in Tarsas, like they always are, but at least it was a dry heat. Truly, though, the only thing that made it bearable was that the weather of mitigated by the mountains.

We were outside of Kotayk on a three kilometer testing range on ground leased to Mekanika on behalf of Herminius Anacomas for what we could only assume was a pittance given his marriage to Duxe Sienna. The parking lot was filled with rentals from the Kotayk airport and sealed after we were herded into an observation bunker. We wondered why all of this extra security was necessary, though fortunately this would answer itself in due time.

Before us was a field sloping gently downhill, probably regraded at obscene cost and probably paid for by Tarsan taxpayers. Targets were strewn about: various trucks, decommissioned tanks, and mannequins, some densely packed and others spread out. I'm handed a laser designator. It's heavy, like a rifle but bulkier like a rocket launcher, but surprisingly easy to work as I'm quickly taught. I'm never left alone with it, though. Its weight on my shoulder, I point it at a group of mannequins, and the designator's attendant re-aims it to actually target the one of them. Otherwise, the drone will be pointed downfield at nothing, or maybe a rabbit at best. He never lets go, but does let me press the button.

They tell us the target is painted and that within moments, a completely AI-controlled drone will pick up the signal and hit the mannequin with pinpoint precision. The whine of the drone falls quickly upon us and sure enough, we hear a quick succession of gunshots. Through binoculars, we see the mannequin blow apart under the power of the bullets. None of the others seem to be harmed. Bullseye. After a round of applause, I switch the designator to an old Avtorosk sport utility light truck. It takes some time for the drone to circle around but it starts coming back up the range.

"Are you sure it won't hit us?" I joke. The attendant smiles confidently. No, he says. It would never hit anything that isn't at the end of the laser. This time, the drone launches a rocket which obliterates the truck, leaving behind a smoking shell. The drone passes over its fallen prey but before going out of view over our heads, it launches two more rockets within moments of each other. The rockets pass over the bunker and I drop the designator to see what's going on. It happens so quickly, and now we know why we were contained to the bunker and our cars were locked away. In the parking lot, two red Alderia sedans - both thankfully leased - are just as ruined as the Avtorosk.

It's an impressive system, to be sure. It can hit a mannequin with a cannon, perhaps bringing guns back into common aerial use, and it can hit a vehicle. This would seem to be the ultimate tool for a plastic insurgency at a mall.

Provided you don't have any red cars in the neighborhood.

PM Announces Plans For Renewed Air-Strike Campaign Against Kalakoran Matou
By Lyudmila Plotinikova
10 July 2019

Image
The KSF Maxim Golubev under-way near Pulau Keramat as part of ongoing operations in Kalakora, 14 June 2019 | Garald Yiyakov, Department of the Navy, Ministry of Defence

ZOLODOLINA — Prime Minister Nadezhda Vyrubova announced today a renewed air-strike campaign against the terrorist cell known as the Matou, which is based in the Malaioan state of Kalakora. Prime Minister Vyrubova stated that the new campaign, which would be 'more extensive, and more effective' than previous efforts, was thanks to a new agreement reached with the government of Pulau Keramat. Pulau, which was the site of the Matou's most recent terrorist bombing at their Grand Republic Festival, have granted conditional use of a major airfield at Angkatan Emas Naval Base at Pasuruin Poi for Seredinian air forces. The conditions, which include new Seredinian aid being provided to Pulaui refugee camps and other assistance in recovering from the Matou bombing in Kopiona Poi, are also said to entail certain obligations in the Kalakora conflict.

News of the agreement comes after the Prime Minister's three-day visit to Pulau, during which time she reportedly met with senior members of the Pulaui executive Dewan Emas; Vyrubova also engaged in various public events, including visiting the site of the terrorist bombing and placing a wreath of flowers woven together by schoolchildren in the Seredinian city of Arkhipovka in commemoration of the victims. The Prime Minister also met with the acting Ambassador to Pulau from the Seredinian Federation, Ivan Ivanovich Kislykh, and stated that deliberations were 'ongoing' regarding the replacement for the badly injured Nikolay Stepanovich Borzakov, who has officially retired from the civil service.

The renewed air campaign was not given an exact start date by Vyrubova nor in an evening briefing at the Defence Commission. However, with new resources provided by a landed air base after almost a decade of operation through the aircraft carrier KSF Maxim Golubev, the impact of the campaign is expected to be 'significant' according to analysts of the conflict. Dr. Vasiliy Tikhanovich Malashenko, a professor of Political Science and the departmental head for the study of Malaioan politics at the State University of Zolodolina, called the move to work officially with Pulau, and thus to obtain conditional basing rights, 'a long overdue decision.'

'The Vyrubova government has made it a commitment to see the Kalakora conflict end while in office,' Malashenko said, acknowledging that '[w]hile the PM couldn't have really known what that entailed before coming to office, and in her term she has taken steps - the real way to wind up Kalakora is through cooperation and targeting the most destructive cells still fighting there.' Malashenko went on to praise the Prime Minister's willingness to engage with 'unlikely allies,' stating that he would term the move a 'welcome surprise.'

Tension, Terror and Revolution in Almadis
By Ketem Saida, Correspondent in Tulura

A woman(Yen revolutionary) in southern Almadis speaking to a crowd

ARIMAL - In this week of deadly terror incidents in southern Almadis, the escalating violence finally reached the prosperous capital city of Serekos yesterday when rebels bombed the Royal Privy Council HQ while gunning down several bystanders, killing 60 and wounding over 100, the council was not meeting at the time. Three rebels were killed by royal police, 2 were captured. This was not the only incident however, earlier in the week there was a coordinated knife attack in Serekos. With an attack on the capital, the first in years, many are beginning to worry if violence in the south can no longer be contained. Tuluran outpost in the south, there to ensure a protective preemptive network around the border, have reported coming under increasing heavy fire.

This escalation, particularly in southern Almadis, does not fall entirely on the Yen, anti-monarchist, militia's and separatist however. "Monarchist in the south, mostly Orthodox, have been the main actors in attacking our security forces." Tuluran General, Aman Mulunesh told us in an interview near the border, at the town of Hewa. "Those who pin the blame just on the [Yen] anti-monarchist are mistaken. Here in the south, government supported gangs and militia's is who we police most often, this recent outburst of violence is an intentional breakdown in communication on their end, they want war."

Despite this, the northern narrative has prevailed, with the Prime Minister of the Council, Stergios Kontallis, calling for more support from, "Our close allies." and says "There will be great retribution to pay for the actions of these Yen terrorist and Sosfari-supremacist." Kontallis has been the Prime Minister of Almadis for twenty years under the Marissa. During his reign he's been the most brutal against rebels and the southern Tuaphet people, forming government backed militias to police the area and keep in-check the Yen population. In these recent attack on the north however, the Prime Minister has claimed that they were encouraged by Tulura, calling the Amek Yadai a warmonger.

Sudem Mazras responded officially on behalf of the National Assembly, stating that, "The Federal Council and National Assembly deny any association with the attacks of July 11th. Tulura's focus is on alleviating violence in the south, caused by government-backed deathsquads and securing our borders, we are a secular state and do not seek to embolden any Yen on the basis of their religion." However there have been indications of Tulura backing anti-monarchist groups in Almadis since its inception and the warrant for the Marissa's arrest is still active to this day. Officially, Tulura considers Almadis a rogue nation upheld by foreign interest.

The issue lies partly in economics, as Almadis occupies an important spot in the Ozeros Sea and lends buying power to Tarsas and other northern countries in the Ozerosi economic zone. The areas rife with violence in Almadis are also rich in oil and bauxite, which the government loosely controls, but not without periodic fighting and changing hands. The southern anarchist countryside is resource rich and even Tulura has economic interest in the area, as it seeks to bolster a booming economy.

The other issue is ideology and religion. Almadis is majority Azdarin, ruled by a Orthodox-controlled government with a Orthodox-Tarsan monarchy. The cities are mostly Tarsan influenced and Orthodox, they are also safe zones up until this week. Coastal cities in particular have profound Hellenic influence in the north, while the southern coast is Yen, but poor. This massive wealth inequality has sparked tensions along ideological lines, as the rumblings of revolution is beginning to stir in the south...

The Nature Foundation of Ghant

Image

About Us
The Nature Foundation Ghant: Protecting Lands, Protecting Lives, Protecting Our Ghant

Our mission
To support traditional people of Ghant’s wilds in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfill their rights.

Our philosophy
We believe that nature protection and human rights are interconnected. We recognize that traditional peoples all over Ghant are currently living sustainably in what are considered the most “pristine” lands. This is not a coincidence. The people who depend on nature for their livelihoods, culture, and spirituality are careful in their use of the land. There are no better stewards of the land. We believe that the most effective way to protect the untouched lands of Ghant is to ensure that the traditional communities who have historically managed and protected those areas have secure and long term rights to their lands and resources.

Our Approach
We work in partnership with traditional groups and local grassroots organizations in northern Ghant to:
  • Secure rights to their lands
  • Influence laws and policies to protect their resources
  • Build strong and sustainable community leadership
Environmental Effects of Oil Drilling:
Oil drilling has many harmful ecological and environmental effects. The process of drilling and extracting oil is complex and leaves many opportunities for error or accidents, the likes of which NFG team members have witnessed firsthand. The piping used to transport and extract oil is made of metals, which can corrode. This corrosion causes pipes to rupture, and contaminates the land and waters which surround it. If the pipes do not rupture, contamination is still eminent via the large waste pits, often left unlined and open. Dust particles left from drilling may coat the surrounding areas, and flames from burning the natural gas found in oil fields cause air pollution. Lastly, oil spills, accidents, and illegal dumping of oil barrels and produced water lead to devastating ecological and health consequences that can last for decades. Many of these chemicals are detrimental or deadly to animals. Entire ecosystems can dissolve as a result of oil contamination.

Health Effects on Indigenous Communities:
“There's a stream where we always go to fish, we catch fish there and eat them. The fish drink the water, and since we eat them, the water must be clean,” a member of a traditional community located near a speculated oil site explained (from an interview with Ghantish Public Radio). As a result of toxic ingestion, many people suffer from skin rashes which require daily injections to prevent swelling, and chronic headaches. Fainting spells, vomiting, chronic diarrhea, headaches and unknown skin infections are common symptoms for those impacted by oil extraction. Long term health effects include: lung disease, liver and kidney damage, damage to the nervous system, malformation, brain damage, miscarriages and many other devastating chronic conditions.

What makes oil so dangerous?
Water produced by oil drilling, or “produced water”, contains arsenic, as well as cadmium, mercury, lead, zinc and copper. These heavy metals are toxic to humans and animals, even in proportionally miniscule concentrations. In the some foreign mining regions, heavy metal concentrations were critically above safe levels. These chemicals and metals are not only toxic to humans, but to animals as well. This is important not only when questioning the survival of hundreds of species who may come into contact with contaminated water, air or land, but also in the question of human health.

Oil contains toxic agents such as mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and lead which bioaccumulate in living organisms. In other words, if consumed over time, the concentration of the chemical increases in comparison to the concentration in the surrounding environment. Mercury, for example, will accumulate in the organism’s tissues faster than it can be excreted. Traditional peoples have been fishing their ancestral lands and rivers for generations. With the proposed oil extraction, the waters will become toxic and the fish they are consuming will be feeding upon other organisms that will be bioaccumulating metals. Thus, the further up the food chain you travel, the higher the metal concentrations. Humans have enjoyed the glory of being at the top of the food chain, but if you were to reside in a region contaminated by oil drilling processes, that enjoyment would not last long. The effects of the toxins intensifies as you travel up the food web. This means that predators and carnivores- often rare and critical to fragile ecosystems- as well as humans, are in danger.

So when traditional people continue to rely on their lands and waterways for sustenance, they risk their lives.

However they have no other option. Traditional groups have been relying upon the land for their survival and livelihoods for thousands of years . Until recently, their ancestral lands have been left largely untouched and unharmed, allowing them to fish and hunt and live in accordance with nature. Now, oil companies have left them with no choice but to fish oil-filled waters and farm toxic lands.

What can you do to help?
Take a look at the support form below. Should you decide to donate, your donation will help protect the incredible biological diversity of Ghant and help traditional peoples defend their livelihoods and cultures.

Ayeli : One year after
By David Akelos
July 13Y, Y2019

Image
An Ayelian militia patroling in the contested area Photographer,Gadaru Kan
Ayeli — It’s been a little more than a year now since the terrible cataclysm that struck the island nation of Ayeli. This episode of complete destruction, where all the energies of the earth and sea were unleashed, culminating with the eruption of Mount Nunakun that buried under kilotons of volcanic ashes the ruins of the capital city : Ayelidigalawisdi. Most of the government died under the rubbles of their offices, and the situation spiralled out of control.

Almost immediately two countries took de-facto command of the rescues and humanitarian reliefs sent to the island : the neighboring Belfras and the Mutul. The reconstruction efforts were slowed down by the lack of central authority, diseases spreading in the slums formed by the populations moved by the earthquakes and tsunami, and the pack of stray dogs and other animals moving from one of the hastily made mass graves to the next. Because of the collapse of all institutions, the salaries of public workers were no longer paid, leading to the few police officers loyal to their post to focus their efforts on helping the rescue teams rather than containing the growing crime rate. Even the doctors, nurses, porters, and other hospital workers, vital in these moments of hardship, were working days and nights without rest for free.

In this situation of decay, it was once again Belfras and the Mutul who took the initiative : their military forces already present on the island started to act as law enforcement, making sure the various curfew decreed by the Ayelians Governors were respected. Where their presence was important, they even started to pay the salaries of public agents through loans to the prefects and municipalities, allowing officials to continue their work.

Through determination and continuous efforts, the situation finally stabilized by the beginning of september : access to food and water was possible even for the populations living in the sprawling camps of tents and other temporary housing. All critical and vital infrastructures had once again electricity, and slowly the ashes left by the eruption of Mount Nunakun were starting to scatter, allowing airplanes to finally land and take off from the newly rebuilt airports. It was then that the political question returned to the forefront.

Early elections had to be organized to nominate a new government, and it proved to be difficult. First, the question of the absence of any royal representative, who were still missing two and a half months after the catastrophe, was a factor of instability. But oddly enough, it quickly became part of the “background” of unsolvable problems while matters considered more pressing took the main share of the debate, both in public and behind closed doors, such as the questions of how to find the people needed to staff these elections, how to ensure a fair representation when a large minority of the population had lost all kind of papers and many records had been destroyed, how to organize the debates, the campaigns, the electoral lists… it was a period of confusion.

To add to this chaos, it’s also during the months of october and november that the uneasy truce between the Mutuleses and Belfrasians started to break off. More and more often would the patrols of both sides clash with one another, in increasingly confrontational incidents. By december, the island was already under a north-south divide, with a large, poorly defined, lawless zone between the two, with no exact border being fixed. This escalation of tensions reached its climax not long before the start of the early elections, until both side stopped sending patrols deep in the lawless corridor and decided to focus their efforts on securing their respective areas.

But what really made the situation heat up was the lack of agreement over the exact organisation of the upcoming elections. Each governors had different ideas but ultimately two methods came to crystallize the conflict. On one end, Governors who wanted these early elections to be general elections, where people would vote both for the national assembly and the government, to restore central authority. On the other end, the Governors who favored the idea of keeping the martial law in place, and only allow regional elections for the mayorships, municipal councils, and other public offices like judges and police chief, with the goal being to recreate a dense network able to restore order while the Governors would serve as a de-facto executive in the absence of both the Emperor and his ministers. Thus, the January elections were not the same from one province to another, and already the political structure of the country was cut in two, following the whim of the Governors and their administrations.

The northern provinces, where the Belfrasians had established themselves, all had General Elections and the great victor of this campaign was Wesa Inada, the ex-Ayellian ambassador to Belfras, who returned home to spearhead the campaign of the liberal party “Nvwatohiyada”. This victory allowed him to constitute a new government that sieged in the city of Uyatlaudali, the Capital of Ayeli remaining a pile of ashes and rubbles deep in the contested corridor.

Meanwhile, the southern provinces refused to organize general elections and the Governors gave themselves full executive powers, while the people voted for their local administrators and municipal councils. It’s these mayors and councilmen who then designed the new “Prime Minister” : Mr.Gaduna, governor of Uganawu. Thus the capital of this second Ayelian government was his seat : the city of Hamuilaqta.

To the surprise of no one, Inada’s government was recognized by Belfras, and Gaduna’s government received the official support of the Mutul. Diplomatic tensions continue to grow as the foreign troops left the cities and the proximities of the civilians either to, rarely, return home or to concentrate at the de-facto border between the two governments, with checkpoints, fences, barbwires, and minefields made their apparitions, this time physically dividing the country in two. It is perfectly possible that, if not for external pressures for the Belfrasians and Mutuleses to reduce their military presence in Ayeli, a low-scale conflict may have taken place in the past few months.

But now that the foreigners are being replaced by Ayelians troopers at the checkpoints, the number of incident grew exponentially. Both Uyatlaudali and Hamuilaqta are caught in a confrontational rhetoric, claiming sole authority over the entire island. One year after the cataclysm, life in Ayeli may have returned to normal, but for how long ? The country is now the victim of a civil war that refuse to name itself, one that has already claim a number of victims. Any sparkle on the island, be it a border skirmish or any other similar event could very well set ablaze the wall Kayamuca Sea.

Crown Prince Hezekiah Begins Week-Long National Tour of Sydalon To Build Stronger Ties In Advance of November's Yarden Accords Celebrations

Royal visit comes four months before the 46th anniversary of the signing of the Yarden Accords, where both governments are expected to sign a litany of new trade and cultural exchange liberalization treaties.
July 28, 2019| By Binyomin Eisenberger (beisenberg@ryd.org) | 12:03pm EDT

PHILIPPOPOLIS, SYDALON — In an effort to jumpstart a popular swelling of good will and stronger bilateral relations between the Kingdoms of Yisrael and Sydalon, Crown Prince Hezekiah III, 47, the first in line to the throne has begun a five-day-long "national tour" of Sydalon. Prince Hezekiah - known privately among his friends and family with the diminutive "Hezzy" - took the West Scipian Railway's Ashkelon-Philippopolis Line into Sydalon, where he was provided lodging by the Sydalene government. He addressed a gathering of Sydalene students at Balzac University, considered the most prestigious university in the country.

Crown Prince Has Full Schedule, Taking Him From Coast To Coast

After his first stop in Philippolis, the prince will then head with his entourage up north along the coast to Montgisard, the largest and most populous of Sydalon's 11 Royal Domains, where he will be hosted by the Prince of Montgisard, Joscelin V, for a late afternoon visit. He will be invited to join local dignitaries watching a local festival and parade on the island of Caparia, and finish the 1st day by viewing Mt. Gezer.

On the second day, he will arrive in the Royal Domain, where Sydalene reports believe Queen Melisendre III will send her brother Sebastian, Duke of Toron, to accompany the Crown Prince for the rest of his tour. His iterinary was posted as visiting the Jewish Quarter in Ostracine for meals at kosher restaurants in the neighborhood and a meeting with the Chief Rabbi of Sydalon Aaron Cutajar. The next day, he is set to meet the Queen herself and her husband, Michael of Dakmoor, at the Palis de Aultavilla for a catered lunch provided by the Yisraeli Embassy, and then an "extended meeting" with a cross-party delegation from the National Assembly, Sydalon's national legislature. Also penciled in appears to be a private meeting with former Chancellor of Sydalon Fernande Mifsud, who was known as a strong pro-Yisrael voice in the kingdom's politics during his political tenure.

On the fourth day, the prince will be driven to the Sydalon-Yisrael border and view the heavily-militarized frontier from a Royal Sydalene Marshals' outpost. There have been leaks to the Sydalene press that the Holy See has asked for a meeting between the Crown Prince and the Pope, Julius IV, to take place that afternoon, but it has been flatly rejected by a spokesman for the Royal Family, who said, "there are no plans for His Highness to meet with the Pope Julius." Prince Hezekiah after the border visit will head to Sarepta, the believed birthplace of the Christian Messiah, and then meet with a council of Sydalene Catholic business owners in north bank region of the Yarden River Valley to discuss how to ease cross-border trade. Another meeting with an assembly of local Sydalene Jews in Hamrun, Hayan in the evening was added at the last moment to his itinerary.

On the last day, the Crown Prince will meet with students at a Catholic seminary in the Exclave of Petra to discuss Jewish-Catholic relations, then tour the city of Petra's port facilities and finally a town hall-style assembly of Sydalene citizens. The prince will then say good-bye to his Sydalene companions and he and his entourage will take the Petra-Modiin Line of the WSR back into Yisrael.

Early Impressions at Balzac Bode Well

So far, the Crown Prince's trip has gone off without a hitch. The students at the Balzac University gathering were largely polite, respectful, and engaging at this morning's visit. The students asked Prince Hezekiah numerous questions about Judaism, Yisrael, the Yisraeli Royal Family, his family life, questions of faith, international politics, and other things. The prince was easy-going during the exchanges, complimenting students or answering in-depth in response to a specific inquiry.

Two students, however, asked pointed questions about the challenges Christians in the (Yisraeli-controlled) south bank region of the Yarden River Valley faced. The prince calmly responded, pointing out the history of the ideologically-driven "Stayniks" who were the core of the Christian terrorism that arose from that area and praising the vast majority of loyal, peaceful Yisraeli Christians as "dedicated to peace - our peace. The peace of Yarden." Both answers seemed to mollify the student askers.

The only real disturbance, however, was one student who had his mic cut and was escorted out by security after he identified with the far-right Patriots Movement and accused the prince, as a representative of Yisrael, of "oppressing" and "killing" ethnic Sydalene Catholics in the south bank of the Yarden River Valley. After the student was removed, the assembly continued on without issue.

Binyomin Eisenberger reported from Yerushalayim, Yisrael. None of these organizations are associated with the RYD, and all opinions and personal views in the article do not reflect the viewpoints of the RYD or their employees.

Rúm Government proposes 4-day week from November - March
National Enegry Strike drags on into second week, production levels predicted to cause energy rationingImage
Skeleton crew of police in Markstowne, Flintscedeland attempt to break up violent demonstration.

Edmond - The National Energy Board has proposed that many homes and businesses could be without electricity every Monday from November to March, as the National Energy Producers Union enters its third week of a strike over pay. Power stations have been picketed by the NEPU and sources of energy production have fallen alarmingly behind, in an attempt to set up pressure on the Government.

The shortage of electricity has already caused a power outage in Kleeds, which forced factories and businesses to close in the metropolitan area and disrupted a gamenclywb match in front of 33,000 people. As power outages occur, Imperial Energy Corporation, one of the country's leading energy production companies, has given a week's notice to all its 25,000 weekly-paid staff as a precautionary measure.

Over 85,000 workers walked off the job in early July, coming from the country's five different energy-producing companies coming from a combination of public and privately-owned companies. Coal plants in the Flintscedelands were the first to down tools that morning - by that night they had been joined by colleagues as far south of Belros.

Today, violence flared on the picket line at Narnland Solar Farm in Sneerabd, when workers from the farm tried to stop others going into work. Punches were thrown and one picket was hurt when a trash bin was thrown and landed on her foot.

While violence has gripped the country, the government has been reluctant to deploy a large police presence and has defended the right of the strikers. While the government, led by Lord Minister Wynstonn, has lost confidence among the Rúm's most conservative caucuses as much as the most left-wing members of the House of Delegates, it has maintained its stance of closing the coal fire plants in the Flintscedelands over the objections of the Energy Minister, Harriet Weahlston.

Phillip Easwald, president of the NEPU, told a news conference the works were not just fighting for their own jobs - but other industries too. "We'll continue to fight for the right of our workers to continue their jobs and not have the government rip the only source of income from workers and their families. Think of the effect that this have on railways, steel, brewing and countless others."

What is the International Democratic Revolution?

A shaky video released on the internet yesterday, depicting Albin Volf and two armed IDR members. Unknown, Unknown/albinvolf.oz

KARSKO — Ostrozavan screenwriter and international bestselling author Albin Volf, 37, was presumed missing in 2009, after he disappeared suddenly during a routine hiking trip in the westernmost Subprime Worker's Republic of Kolava. However, recent rumors appear to have been confirmed as true yesterday, when a low-resolution but rather stable video framed Volf in center stage, looking far older and far wilder than his last public appearance. Even more curious were the two armed guards behind him, brandishing surplus assault rifles as the whole scene took on a decidedly paramilitary aesthetic. Though many assumed the video to be some sort of well-crafted publicity stunt at first, its unfolding content quickly changed minds and sparked a furious debate between Socialist and Progressive elements inside the Ostrozavan People's Congress. Albin's words are as follows:
"Greetings, people of the world. It has been a long time and many arduous years since I last showed my face to the public. For years, many have known me as a writer of novel and film, a great craftsman of various stories in which I attempted to the best of my ability to show the people's struggle in action. However, as you all now know, I have been spending a long time taking a well-needed nature refuge, and I have had several realizations.

We have engineered a great engine of the people here in Ostrozava; other experiments at this form of empowerment at various stages of success have paid off worldwide, whether in Seredinia, or Liothidia, or Tsurushima. I have long waited for my people, the Nasjzky of Drevstan, to follow in the footsteps of these other great nations, and to properly give the people the permanent power that all who oppose them surely must recognize is central to the human condition. Various authoritarian forces have attempted to stop this inevitable growth for centuries; we all know the stories of the great dictatorships of the world, whether in the north of Norumbria or in the south of Ochran. Many, however, don't target the true culprit preventing the people of Belisaria and Scipia from fully realizing their freedoms. I speak not of oppressive governments, not of armed groups of men masquerading as saviors. No, I speak of those who achieved success in brutality centuries ago, and now unjustly hold on to power which they have accquired by no human merit at all. I speak of those who have weaponized belief and status quo, wrapping up the explanations for their continued relevance in a neat bow for their misled populace to believe. I speak of the monarchs of the world, many of which have been riding the wave that only their ancestors ever deserved.

You can see them throughout the world, cackling and drinking their champange as they truly believe their petty problems are insurmountable. Spoiled children raised by spoiled children, perpetuating a cycle of decadance that seems to know no end. Well, no longer. Today, I ask all of the people of the world with a good heart to join me in the International Democratic Revolution; together, we aim to expose the true nature of the so-called leaders of Belisaria, and to make them pay for their crimes of inaction. For the people!

Few yet know what the full extent of the movement which Volf declared will imply, though the International Democratic Revolution has already been marked as an "illegal paramilitary organization" by the Prime Republic of Ostrozava, which has indicated that it wishes to seek out Albin Volf for questioning regarding illegal possession of firearms. Despite the declaration, no actual movements have been made against the IDR, and many in the Ostrozavan Prime government have admitted that not only is the IDR not the top security priority of the government, but its continued stealthy movements may be a result of local Socialist politicains protecting the members of the IDR, many of whom seem to hide in plain sight. Though it is too early to tell what danger the IDR and Volf pose, if any, some in western Belisarian countries have become worried that the IDR may try to assassinate prominent monarchs or launch bot attacks at social media services.

Still complicating the situation is Volf's relative international popularity as an author and screenwriter. Before his disapperance a decade ago, the then-emerging author was known for his wide variety of internationally award-winning art film scripts, and bestselling novels, typically trying to document life under interesting governmental systems or difficult living conditions. Domestically in Ostrozava, he had been a prominent voice for the Drev-Nasjzky minority, anarchism, and for the legalization of drugs.

Sócrates Barbosa after announcing his candidacy in Castelonovo.
CASTELONOVO - In a conference room located in central Castelonovo, the civil engineer and MP for Guanabara Sócrates Barbosa declared his candidacy to the office of Leader of the National Conservative Union (UCN in Lusittian). Barbosa, who was accompanied by his wife Amélia and children, said in his speech that Lusittia is under a state of "national disorder" as well as stated that "she couldn't control this country for more five years" - in a clear reference to the current President and possible future opponent Rita Maynard from the Social Democratic Party. About his party, the candidate congratulated the work of previous leaders such as the ex-President Ludovico Rosa and the current leader Geraldo Bittencourt, however, he also declared that now is time to "someone radical enough to give this country the changes that it needed to be made." After the speech, he went to his private residence alongside his family.

Both the press and the general public had mixed reviews about the speech and candidacy. The ex-President of Lusittia Ludovico Rosa endorsed Barbosa and said that he is "the best candidate that we have for now" and hopes that he "succeeds in becoming the next Lusittian President." Other conservative figures such as Bianca Antunes and Eduardo Braga also declared their support to Barbosa, with Mrs Antunes stating that he is "one of the best conservative politicians that our party have today." A majority of left-wing politicians from the Social Democratic Party and the Socialist Bloc declared its opposition to Barbosa's candidacy, with the MP for Favonnia Jorge Guerra saying through a social media that he is a "danger for our country that must be contained."

Many political analysts already knew that the possibilities of Barbosa declare his candidacy was high given its popularity that increased over the last years, especially after the UCN's defeat against the SDP in the 2015 general election. According to a poll made by the EPC last week, 46% of the party members said that would vote for Barbosa in an electoral scenario against Maynard, while 48% of the members said that has a "positive" opinion about him. Despite such high popularity, Barbosa has a harsh and rigid opposition not only from left-wing groups but from the liberal and moderate factions of his party too. Last month, the MP was accused of being "racist" and "misogynist" by the Leader of the Socialist Bloc Clara Martins, albeit that he denies any of these accusations. The candidate for the leadership of the UCN Jerônimo Teixeira also said that his policies are "too weak" and he is "unfit to serve the country", which caused several controversies inside the party as well as many political intrigues. Despite all these accusations, Barbosa remains as one of the strongest candidates in the leadership election and the only real threat against Maynard's re-election in 2020.

The UCN leadership election will happen between the 15 and 25 of August, with the winner being declared the next day. This makes the new Leader of the National Conservative Union the official candidate of the party to the next general elections. The SDP, on the other hand, announced that will not have any leadership election this year, declaring full support to Rita Maynard. Other parties with parliamentary representation such as the Socialist Bloc or the Green Alliance didn't make any announcement about the matter yet, but it's highly feasible that these parties will support Rita Maynard too. Two other candidates will dispute the office against Barbosa: Jerônimo Teixeira, who is from the liberal factions of the party and Clemêncio Rodrigues, who represents the traditionalist and Fabrian sectors of the society. However, it's highly unlikely that any of these candidates are going to win the leadership election due to Barbosa's high popularity and other reasons, such as the political apathy felt by conservative electors after Maynard's victory in 2015.

Æthic Minister of Energy resigns
Puts on blast "failing" Wynstonn Government as protests erupt in capital cityImage
House of Delegates at 3 AM on Sunday, deep into debates following the Energy Minister's resignation.

Edmond - The Minister of Energy, Hilda Wilburh of the Rúm, has resigned amid backlash over her proposal to reduce the work week to 4 days from November - March and over her frustrations with the government over the failure to resolve the energy crisis which has gripped the nation. The resignation was delivered in the House of Delegates at 10 P.M. on Saturday night with 1,243 representatives in attendance.

"When the Lord Minister continues to work with Geþeódlio and Gebúr-Gisgu to continue to hold this nation under a crisis which we could resolve, you have to wonder if he's in power for the country, or is using this government to further partisan political agendas!" Wilburh thundered in the apex of her speech. Backbenchers from the Rúm and Eabd were increasingly supportive of her resignation, with hundreds of Conservative Coalition backbenchers supporting her statements throughout the hour-long address to the House of Delegates. "This government has failed, and it's time for Wynstonn to go. It's what the country needs, and it's what the country wants."

Lord Wynstonn was recognized by the chair to respond and blasted his former Energy Minister. "She claims to be working to resolve the crisis, yet nobody in this Rúm government, no sensible conservative member of this House, could possibly support the ridiculous, right-wing proposals she brought to the table. She does not represent the coalition of lawmakers on all sides of the aisle working to avert this crisis as the winter sets on."

As the longest energy industry strike in 50 years enters its 4th week, protestors of the Wynstonn government took to the streets following another brief power outage in the city at 8 pm. Mostly organized via Rad.io, led to thousands of protestors descending onto downtown Edmond, mostly toward the government quarter.

From 2 am to 4 am, protestors effectively trapped lawmakers in the House of Delegates building before they could go home. While the police were moving protestors out of the government quarter outside, a motion for vote-of-no confidence against Lord Minister failed to get more than 300 votes from a loose coalition of left-wing partisan lawmakers and right-wing backbenchers from the ruling coalition.

Shocking developments from inside the House as members just voted down a motion to remove Lord Minister Wynstonn. Over 150 came from Wynstonn's Rúm and another 100 came from Eabd, the second party in Æthele's governing coalition. Wynstonn is the longest reining Lord Minister in the 21st century.

"We are absolutely sick of this," said protestor Gérald Wulfle. "The government has lost all control, the King is reluctant to dismiss him, and outages continue to plague the city. How long before the government snaps?"

The National Energy Producers Union doubled down on it's demands in a statement. "While Wilburh's resignation certainly is a step in the right direction, the Wynstonn government's failure to act is now breaking the trust of the public. Do not take income from working Æthics, we work hard to keep this country running."
