Confederate Troops Arrive in Yezriya!

Confederate Troops in Yezriya, Eranshahir

The first wave of Confederate troops have arrived in Yezriya, just a day after the city of Malafaqum fell to Mawtinian invaders. Malafaqum, the capital of the Yezriyan province, is a major religious center, holy to Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Malafaqum is also known as Yirusholâyim or Jerusalem in English. The first wave of Confederate troops landed in the Western coast, far from the battle lines in North-Eastern Yezriya. They are working closely with Eranshahir's military but have not stated their intentions to join Eranshahir's military itself.

Unlike Eranshahir's own plans, which aim to only maintain control in Yezriya, the Confederacy has stated it intends to not only liberate regions currently occupied by the Mawtinians and their allies, but to also overthrow Mawtini's government. President McCreery has stated he intends to have Al-Rashid expatriated to the Confederacy to stand trial for war-crimes already committed, such as the execution of Yezriya's religious leader, the Jewish Exilarch.

Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen have all been deployed to Marah. Although Congress has declared war, they approved only deploying a certain amount of military men and women, known as the First Wave. This was done in the hopes that additional troops would not need to be deployed, but Congress has stated that in the event, more troops can potentially be deployed.

State-owned Industry gets and hefty boost

The government recently approved a budget that increases subsidization of State-onwed Industry from over NC£/NCP 3 billion to 8 billion. This move was approved by King Larius Edward IV because of its outstanding effects as detailed in the reports that were submitted by his Council. The move will boost the GDP of N&C by 2.7%. Workers applaud this move because according to them, it will increase wages and encourage more workers to work harder for the glory of the King.

70 YEARS ORTHOGRAPHY REFORM IN GOMORASTAN. WHAT HAS CHANGED ?

SINCE THE 50s THE SPELLING OF GOMORASTANI IS SO DIFFERENT FROM CLASSICAL GOMORI THAT IT COULD BE CONSIDERED A SEPERATE LANGUAGE.

In 1947 the Gomoroi language in Gomorastan was subject to major changes in its orthography. Reason herefore was that the old, traditional Gomori language did not share much with the dialect spoken in Gomorastan in modern days. The language adopted much in vocabulary from its neigbors and other languages it had much contact with. Also did the dialect preserve much that got lost in traditional Gomori like for example the infix -gl (tek<teglek, tek<teek). The traditional dialect was spoken by the upper class, which immigrated before Gomorastan became Farzi, step by step. With them, the traditional dialect got lost in Gomorastan leaving many Gomoris wanting to change something.


The rate of analphabetizm in Gomorastan was very high in the early 20th century, but fell between 1950 and 1960 from 79% to 10%. Priorer to the reform, the learning of traditional Gomoroi was a necessity, which equals learning classical Latin to write Spanish. The orthography reform was a step away from Classical Gomoroi to Modern Gomori Languages. Linguists dispute about whether or not Gomorastani Gomori is it's own language nowadays, but many native speakers say that they cannot understand speakers of the Inastarian or any oher dialect of Gomori. If it gets the standard to refer to it as the Gomorastani language is a thing that will be told by the future.

Military Clique seizes capital, prince flees
Shocking news from Shintama today as forces of the military under the command of general Yoshikawa Shoin took control of the city forcing the prince and his council to flee. Shoin long suspected member of the illegal Sutorasserizumu clique spoke on national television announcing his plans for radical economic and political reforms as well as taking the title of Dokusai-sha, autocrat. Already hundreds of people have been arrested for crimes agianst the people and nation of Watatari and for suspected involvement with "subversive" political groups. The general has invited several dissdent nationalists and communists to assist in formalizing his government.

'Amrat Province Insurgency grows problematic

Mäq'älä, Wolleqa - Months ago, His Majesty, King Yaqub Addisalem Zera Taffari, underwent coronation to become the next King of Wolleqa after the monarchy was violently disposed 132 years ago in place to a new government, a republic, friendly to foreign nations and outside contact.

His Majesty is a direct descendant of the Taffari Dynasty that once ruled the Wolleqan Empire. The Empire came into being from the Baḥradar culture, on the northern shores of Lake Dena from Habasi, Gandar, Gujjam, Tegere, and Wolloq tribes.

The tribes had united and the Habasi tribes, the progenitor of the current monarch, assumed control and spread their territorial and political influence in Northeastern Odela.

During the campaigns of the Taffari dynasty they spread and conquered the Ḥemyar, Qitaban, and Saba' Kingdoms in Southern Marah. The peoples have always maintained a degree of autonomy under the benevolence of the Kingdom, despite various rebellions and struggles against Wolleqa.

The region conquered in Marah began to be collectively known as the 'Amrat region and largely maintained their cultural independence. The region is characterized by the Islam largely dominating the region at 92% of the population, with smaller populations of Jews and other peoples arriving in the region from trade routes.

This compares with the Odelan side of Wolleqa, in which 31% of the region practices Islam with the vast majority being Christians. The people of 'Amrat have largely rebelled against Wolleqan forces several times over the past hundreds of years.

The protests and Yamani (A collective name for the 'Amrat peoples in 'Amrat) Independence Movement sharply increased their activities following the coronation of His Majesty.

Several groups and authorities have called for a referendum, the second one this decade, to secede from the nation. Government institutions have called both referendum attempts 'illegal' and vastly detrimental to themselves.

Several groups of violent, armed militias, have been reportedly attacking Wolleqan Soldiers and government buildings in the streets of Sena'a - though everything is reported to be under control. Several suspect that the government is going to enforce a higher government and military presence in the 'Amrat region to prevent further complications.

Some sources say the insurgents have seized several villages in northwest of Marhib, 19 km. north from Sena'a. The insurgents are reportedly poorly armed and have held village leaders hostage. The Secretary of Domestic Affairs, Habtom Abara in his already disgruntled state, "This is very problematic, though they pose no threat to our strong nation."

Citizens Celebrate the Foreign Entry of Confederate Troops

Yafna', IYAR, Eranshahir - Recently, the Mawtinians came in and occupied The Place Of Divine Concern, also known as Yiruşolayîm or Malafaqüm. Upon occupying the city, the Mawtinians took the exilarch out of his home and paraded him in chains across the city of Malafaqüm only to have him killed. The news of the murder of the exilarch put the entire region in intense despair and mourning. As of today, the whereabouts of the former exilarch's body remain unknown. The family of the exilarch continues to remain in exile in mainland Eranshahir, outside of IYAR.

Several Yezriyan Arabs - the majority of the Yezriyan populace - were reported to have left Yezriya upon the Mawtinian conquest of Malafaqüm. The numbers of the deserters are currently estimated at a number of 2,500. "I am truly shocked that some of our brethren abandoned us for them. I can't believe it. We did so much for them and some decide to leave. I don't know what to think anymore. I honestly don't know if things will worsen. I hope the Eranians and others can help us push them back." remarks local Yafna' resident, Ḥasdai Paraḥyâ bin Aliyôqim Qalîr Âşamî.

Despite the despairs of the Yezriyan people, Confederate troops reportedly reached IYAR and have began their campaign against the Mawtinians in order to assist the liberation of occupied portions of Yezriya and reportedly the overthrowing of Mawtinis government. This has left several Yezriyans to rejoice throughout towns and villages across the region but yet has left a number of people uneasy. Some Yezriyans remain optimistic of their intervention, "They are going to bring peace to our lands! May they leave a leader that will lead the Mawtinian people in a better fashion so that they are more receptive towards our needs and not just their wants" exclaims a passerby. Another man standing next to the passerby however remains very uneasy with this assertion, "I am happy that the foreigners are here to our aid, but will they really do this for the benefit of both of us or for their personal gain? Remember, they are foreigners. Do they truly know us or are they only interested in Eranian resources? Don't get me wrong, I am happy they are here to help us. But I don't want them to get carried away and destroy them off the map or anything. That will only create more hate and disarray".

Because the heads of Malafaqüm were killed off by the Mawtinians and lead for the incumbent government of IYAR to flee, an interim government has temporarily established itself in Yafna' for the time being. The status of the government is said to be in disarray due to the haste procedure to evacuate the city and the a large amount of government officials have went missing since the Mawtinian invasion of IYAR. "Elections will likely take place after all of this is over" says Yaḥya Yissokhor ban Shalomo Yirmâyohu, head of the EDʿA¹

While the Mono De Sorrow's Military has been growing, it has been lacking in training. President Allan Stroud addressed the country last night about the lack of readiness the military has had in the past few years. The President pointed the finger to Military General Eric Chandler, from what the President said, "General Chandler has used the government's money on personal pleasures." From the military budget of 450 million Pento Le Enzoes 230 million went to advertisement, 100 million on vehicles and the rest was some how lost but, the General did have a nice house worth over 4.5 Million Pento Le Enzoes which lead the President to believe Chandler was taking monye from the budget and assign a massive investigation, soon they found the General was using the money to buy homes, going on vacations and getting million dollar cars. General Eric Chandler is said to be put on house arrest in his palatial home and dishonorably discharged with removal of rank. Bellow is a picture of General Chandler when he was on trial on August 23 three days before the final verdict was announced to the public.

President Allan Stroud has appointed a new Military General this morning, Robert Heckler, who told us "I will use the money wisely and prepare us for anything that might happen..." The President hopes that the military will be stronger after this change, maybe even growing in strength since millions of dollars are going back into the budget. The new General even said that he plans to expand the Military's Unmanned Program which will save many Sorrowian Military lives in the event of a war. The Newly appointed General even talked about, The Nuclear Program which said to be taking off in 2018, "...four nuclear power plants are being built between 2018 and 2025, maybe even sooner if everything goes great...powering millions of homes" said General Heckler. He never said anything more after and left to meet with the President. Some are worried that having a nuclear program may cause other nations to be weary of us, because of the potential of having nuclear weapons. We couldn't get the President to talk about this more or the General.

The President did have a few words to other nations about this, "Having this nuclear program doesn't mean we want to harm you...please do not be alarmed!"

The new Military Training Program is said to be on a massive scale starting tomorrow every man and women in the Military must start running around the bases at 4:00 am. A Naval exercise is taking place at 2:30 pm near El Toro Island and Los Serranos, were people can watch them train from the beaches. The Airforce is said to be training in 3 days with a spectacular air show afterwards at 12pm. Heckler has planed not to test any missiles or submarines.

"Sorrowians be prepared to see military driving on the street...we are not under attack..." said the General.
