Ipachi Dispersion and History Discussion (TWI ONLY)

Postby Samudera » Sat Jul 01, 2017 2:45 am

Ipachi Dispersion
A major intertwining of histories, promoting the furtherment of the Ipachi ethnicity in the region.

Nations involved:

If you are interested, please kindly post it here or TG me

Might’ve seen a term around the place, something called ‘Canon’. It basically means what we have accepted and implemented as have happened in the TWI Roleplay world.

What we need to discuss and how?
Here’s some major things we need to talk about, and some questions we need to answer.
  1. How did the Ipachi get to your nation, and when?
  2. What are your Ipachi like?
  3. How did these Ipachi develop, and integrate into your society?
  4. What are the status of the Ipachi today?
Post your idea here and we will discuss it, if we all agreed then it will become canon.

F.A.Q.
Here’s some frequently asked question along with their answer.
  • Could i join the discussion?
Yes, everyone that's already on TWI map is allowed to join the discussion in here. However, please keep it related to Ipachi.
  • Where do they originate?
They originate from Proto-Nyssicens in Gael that eventually split in Northeast Peninsula (present Ainslie and Verdon) to become what is now known as Ipachis and Proto-Ahnslen People. Most Ipachis would migrate to Samuderan Islands later at some point.
  • What do they look like?
They look like Polynesians, which I based Ipachi from them.
  • Where do they go/split in history?
It's up to you where you want them to go to your territory.
  • Do they have any special trait?
Yes, Ipachis were renown for their sophisticated sailings techniques with knowledge of constellation to guide them through the seas.

Anything else I need to know?
I’ve entirely left the Ipachi up to the creativity of other nations, so feel free to work something out that fits in here with the history below. View the Ipachi as a Polynesian/Asian type ethnicity, with a maritime culture (although this could easily be changed over time), anyway its up to you!

How do we make things canon? How many people do we need to make our proposed ideas a reality?

You could just post it here. Actually i'll be writing everything cannon if it didn't interfere with other nations. Much easier

If you got some ideas that need other nations cooperation, than maybe the only time we need to discuss it to make it 'cannon''

What do you think?

What is meant by Canon is that it isn't directly in factbooks yet. Turning proposed into canon merely just requires you to write it somewhere.

Nice.

Always good to be in threads like these :)

Keomora - It's so goddamn diverse.

Tastreira - I get a Nepal/Tibet/Mongolian vibe from it.

Covonant - It's a different unique concept which is nice to have. I love that in TWI is not just Western modeled states but states of different cultures and ideologies which makes the RP more interesting.

Polar Svalbard - 8/10 would bang.

Before idiotically calling me out for having a so-called Nazi symbol in my flag, I recommend you ACTUALLY read my dispatches.

Wait a minute! Ipachi become Buddhists in 500 BC?

Maybe...maybe Ipachis spread Buddhism to the Khas-Kirats...

What do you think Samudera?

The Ipachi culture started at least 13000 years ago and are still known as the Ipachi? even though they are separated into groups with large distances between them?

The overarching group is called that. There's many subgroups - there is no specific 'Ipachi' group anymore, but they all fit into that category because of common ancestry.

Medu 1744 AD: Imachi Cultural Split (Proposed)
A group of Imachi who live in the Ekha Islands away from the other Imachi decided to split from their brothers. They identify as Ikachi now. The Ikachi are more traditional than the Imachi and darker skinned from selected mating (darker skin is seen as beautiful in the Ikachi). The Ikachi enjoy a more primitive life style and live in tribes.

Medu 1762 AD: Imachi Cultural Split #2 (Proposed)
A group of Imachi split into what they now call themselves the Chanchi. The Chanchi have a more evolved language of Grisuk, it is called Tunga Jurj. Tunga Jurj takes a little from Grisuk and a little from Samud (language from Samudera), plus a little of their own words. The Chanchi have a more vibrant and colorful culture. They prefer to stay on land unlike their Imachi brothers.

Okay, here actually i had ideas to unified most (if not all) Ipachis tribe in TWI into single Ipachi Confederation in ~300 BC.

What do you guys think? Will it contradict your history?

It will disintegrate around 190 BC because of certain event. Any inputs is appreciated

I find it will be extremely difficult to unify all of the Ipachis, or even most! The Imachi themselves didn't have contact with the rest of the world for centuries after their arrival, that includes other civilizations from the Meduik islands.

Ah yeah, maybe some Ipachis went into isolation after they landed. If anyone interested, we could unite the Ipachis for a while in 300 BC - 190 BC.

Would the Ipachi be able to come to Fujiraha in 10,900 B.C.E crossing the gulf of Tapatka and landing on the Sharr peninsula. From there hey could expand and change in my nation.

Also Athara Magarat, I would like to have an ethnicity or two come from you.

Name: Koche (Rajbansi Horde)

Image

Languages: Koch, Rangpuri
Population in AM Only:13,000
Religion: Khavas Tharu

The Koches of Rajbansi Horde are an ethnic group of Athara Magarat with mixed race features and origins as evidenced by their two languages one of which belongs to the Mahakiranti whereas the other is related to the larger Aprosian language family. The head of a Koche family is called Thakur and the commander of the Rajbansi Horde was referred to as Thakur not as Hang unlike in other Khas-Kirati tribal hordes. The worshipers of Mother Nature follow a uniquely strict and hygienic lifestyle. Their diets and medicinal herbs are supervised by the clan or village guruva who is primarily in charge of performing rituals related to their unique religious system known as Khavas Tharu.
