WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST 57 - THATCHER CITY, MISTER X
EXPRESS YOURSELF
Mister X invites you to express yourself at the 57th WorldVision Song Contest in Thatcher City. This bid to host this wonderful contest will take a completely brand new approach, because what we want to do is to highlight the innovation that Mister X can provide. The logo features a man reaching out for the stars, because he knows that expression is the only way forward. If one is to progress, one must discover who they are.
One's life must matter. And that's what WorldVision in Mister X will unlock. Passion. Desire. Determination. And above all else, the ability to unlock your future.
WHY SHOULD YOU RETURN TO THATCHER CITY?
Thatcher City hosted the runaway success that was WorldVision Song Contest 34. Now, Thatcher City has had even more major developments since. Thatcher City has seen many changes. Today, it's a bustling hive of all sorts of activities and cities, with nightclub attendances up 50,000% since WorldVision 34. In WorldVision 34, there were fields around the outskirts of the city, but such is the pace of development that it's perhaps better to say that nowadays, the outskirts are factories, whereas the middle is all fields. We're keen to grow our own crops and create an export-led economy, and Thatcher City is the epitomisation of globalisation. Thatcher City have always been peacefully radical. In 2001, they returned a TRP (The Right Party) candidate, saying they didn't like him very much, and could they please have another one. As the law of the land says, if the sheep lie down, it's because they're dead.
JOHNSON STADIUM
Built within the last 3 years, the Johnson Stadium is representative of the innovation in Mister X. It can hold over 50,000 people and features one of the most modern safety systems in the world - each seat has under it a protective suit to protect from performances from bombs and so on. It is, of course, up to the audience as to whether they want to watch the contest in a suit or not, but it would stop them from being bombed by the performers.
STAGE DESIGN
The stage was designed by a man known only as "the great architect" and features many LCD screens. It has been designed as a wide stage with an audience of over 50,000. It also features trapdoors, platforms, pyrotechnics, and anything you wish, really. This photo is taken from a performance at the opening of the arena at the Johnson Stadium, the venue of the contest. There's not really much more to say.
POSTCARDS
Your nation's flag will be encapsulated in the circle of WorldVision and your nation's information listed below - in the colours of your nation's flag (or, if you'd prefer, any other colours of your choosing). Our postcards, like our bid, are going to be simplistic but professional and sleek-looking, almost as if the design could be reused at work, school, college, university, or any presentations. (OOC: The postcards will, like in WV34, appear in the IC thread as the list of countries).
Because, really, what is Thatcher City? It's a professional, sleek environment, but it's not afraid to try new things. This host bid reflects that and so we urge you to come to Thatcher City to express yourself at the 57th WorldVision Song Contest.
