He pulled his chute together, and pushed it back in his jump gear. Arcadian soldiers were dropping in on the island, and once sun rises the beaches will be hit with the rest of the invasion force. The job of those jumped in was to secure strategic areas or attack supply lines. As he fixed his jump gear he loaded his rifle and moved to the rally point. F-35s and bombers pelted enemy positions, and he walked through an empty street, it was only illuminated by the street lights. He walked down the street and saw a man walking and Ethan shouted in German "What it todays colors?!?" The man froze and yelled "Purple!" That was the code of the legionnaire forces for this combat drop. It could arrange from 'shoes' and the man replies 'shoe lases' or stuff along those lines. When the fellow legionnaire walked up he spoke "unit?" the man spoke "3-17th Alpha Company, what about you?" Ethan replied "3-17th too, team?" The man replied "Charlie." Ethan spoke "Alpha." That meant they would be heading to the same landing zone. They would be taking a bridge that was key to USCO supply lines to the beaches marked for invasion.

He hit the ground hard as an enemy rocket hit. He an his fellow soldiers landed right in an occupied city. His rifle had jammed and he pulled the jammed bullet out of the rifle and reloaded his rifle. As he aimed he began to fire at the USCO soldiers as they fired back. The battle had begun for the island

Maj. Samuel Brighton, 3rd Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Armored Regiment, 1st Airborne Division, Airborne Infantry Corps
The orders had come in from HQ. A bridge near the FOB was under assault, and the company stationed there was having trouble holding out. Sam quickly ordered several of the vehicles to be fueled up. He would be leading an armored convoy to reinforce the company. It was crucial to the Oceanic supply lines; without it, the coastal outposts would fall fast. Arcadians had landed all over the place; two of the outposts under his command had been assaulted. Both had held out, but other outposts to the west had fallen.
As the convoy got closer and closer to the bridge, the sounds of the firefight got louder and louder. It seemed as though the Arcadians were making progress; the distinctive sounds of their guns overpowered the sounds of the Oceanians returning fire. He hoped that armored reinforcements would make the difference. And it did. The Arcadians were attacking the bridge mainly from one side, and it happened to be the side which the convoy came in from. The Arcadians, although well armed and well trained, simply didn’t have the equipment to combat the heavy armor which had arrived. The AT rounds seemed to simply bounce off of the tanks, and only 1 IFV was immobilized after it’s engine was hit with a rocket. The Arcadians slowly retreated, and Sam received orders not to chase; they could be falling back to defensive positions, and more forces. The battle was over for now, but the Arcadians would come back eventually, and next time it wouldn’t be so easy.
