Gala of the Stars [ADL Only/IC]

Postby Doom Legions » Mon May 29, 2017 1:58 pm

Welcome all, to the Gala of the Stars!
Hosted by the Unholy Empire of The Doom Legions, this event is meant to offer an opportunity for members of the Anti Democracy League to exchange in diplomacy, improve relations and perhaps cement lasting treaties of co-operation.
The Gala will be held aboard the Radiant Soul, a Heavy Planetcracker of Stellarian design. We have adjusted the interior of the station so it can accomodate the expected guests and planned events.
Guest safety is our top priority! We have an extensive security detail on board and a significant fleet escort, naturally the station itself is also more than capable of defending itself. We wish for our guests to be able to enjoy the event care-free.

Food, drink and entertainment is provided, we have planned an extensive banquet under the stars, space for dancing in the starlight, alternative forms of entertainment and much more!
We will welcome all diplomats, politicians and leaders who are aligned or affiliated with the Anti Democracy League and ask no charge for admission to the event.

The station's upper observation deck houses the banquet, lounge and dance floor, your shuttles can be parked in the hangars, where our welcoming commitee will be awaiting your arrival and for those interested we offer an extensive tour of the station!
Later through the event our guests can access an extensive shooting range in side wing A, as well as a virtual combat arena where you can get a first hand experience using either your own or official Legion military hardware! More details will be available on site.
Not much of a fan of combat, or more interested in a more relaxing experience? Side wing B will house an extensive art gallery, where our guests can enjoy otherworldly culture. Notice: if interested, your nation can submit works of art of their own to be displayed here for the duration of the event. An excellent way to share some of your culture!

NOTICE: Please be advised that the lower decks and central core are off-limits for guests and entry there is forbidden without escort. Security is permitted to detain any suspicious individuals tresspassing there.

Heavy Planetcracker Radiant Soul, Legion controlled space
16:00 Legion Military Time

Space. Silent, beautiful, sometimes terrifying, but far from empty. Drifting there, surrounded by the twinkling lights of the countless stars that filled existence, was a massive mobile space station, a so called 'Planetcracker'. It was massive in size and carried enough armaments to lay waste to just about anything one could imagine, from other space stations to actual planets. This particular Planetcracker would not be used to wreak untold destruction though, at least not this time. Surrounded by a small fleet of warships, the Radiant Soul would act as a location for a diplomatic gala.

As a station of Stellarian design, the interior was already significantly decorated. Red tapestries, white marbe floors and walls hiding the fortified metal beneath.. the inside resembled more of a palace or temple rather than a military station. In light of the upcoming event, the interior was even further decorated, and the large areas had been refurbrished to accomodate for the upcoming event.

High Doomlord Sindrannox was chosen to be the host and supervisor of the event. The tall and solidly built man was clad in an impressive black military uniform with many medals decorating his chest. A long crimson silken cloak hung from his back, the end just barely touching the ground and a ceremonial Runeblade slung at his side. He was ready, but was the station?
The first guests were expected to arrive in a few hours, so everything had to be in perfect order, he and his assitants were double checking everything, making sure all service crew were present and ready, the guards at their posts, all decorating and refurbrishing efforts finished.. Converting the station had been no easy task, even with significant prior decoration already present.
"Have the guards sealed off and secured the lower decks?" Asked the High Doomlord to his lead assistant.
"Yes, my lord. Access to the lower levels have been locked down and all guards have reported in." Replied the assistant after checking his datapad.
"And the hangars are ready to recieve the shuttles and the guests they will carry?" Continued Sindrannox.
"Absolutely. The last strike craft have been relocated to the other hangars and our welcoming comittee is standing by. We are as ready as we can be." Said the assistant.
"I would accept nothing less, we have a lot of high profile guests coming, there is no room for mistakes." Said Sindrannox. "Our first guests will arrive in an hour. Stick to the program and direct them to the main hall once they arrive, I will greet them there."
"Of course, my lord." Said the assistant and with a bow he and the others returned to their duties.

Several shuttles had been dispatched to pick up and bring those to the station that could not arrange for transport themselves. They were scheduled to return with said guests in about an hour.

It had been a long, long time since Aozora had been in a spacecraft. Of course, this particular vehicle was much different to the ones she had been familiar with. Nonetheless, the feeling remained of returning to something lost long ago. She didn't give any sign of any of this, acting as if it were her first time in such a craft. Even to her allies, it would be risky for certain aspects of her history to be uncovered.

Kiku had no such concerns. For her, this was the first time she'd been in a spacecraft, and it was obvious she was impressed. There was such advanced technology on display, capabilities far from what Kyoki Chudoku could muster. The nation had plenty of biological research but not enough knowledge of physics and engineering and indeed, it lacked the resources needed, to be able to produce faster-than-light technology.

Behind the two of them were two Gomon Hito, elite bodyguards. Technically, they belonged to Kurushimi, the head of the army. But Aozora had borrowed them for this mission and they would protect the Supreme Overlady of All Reality with their lives. They were only allowed to carry low-calibre weaponry, so they had only brought pistols.

Aozora Chiyumi, however, had somehow managed to be allowed to bring her scythe, so long as she didn't actually use it on anyone. A pity, but it was good to know she had the weapon at hand should she need it. It was practically a symbol of her power, though compared to other people attending the event that power wasn't particularly immense.

At last, the shuttle arrived in the hangar, and the Kyoki Chudokurens departed. Aozora looked around, and couldn't see any other guests yet. I suppose we're the first here.
This nation exists for fun and insanity, not to represent my actual views which are much more mundane and boring.
Also, I don't use NS stats. So please ignore them.

Neyla Haijira Patalia

It was not often the Empress decided to leave the safety of her ancient palace on Thessia. No, she often preferred to send someone else, Rila perhaps, or one of her own daughters. Of course, seeing that Shi'era was deployed to the Rimworld system in defense of a disputes colony world, Liara was deployed to Liasha for peacekeeping, and she needed Shiala home to maintain the monarchy, she decided to handle matters herself. Of course, she had taken her usual security measures, wearing the ancient Forerunner armor she so preferred, it's silvery construction glinting under the bright yellow of her long robe, and calling her Honor Guard to defend her.

She boarded a Rayshell transport, a civilian colonial craft that bore no offensive weapons, and used it to reach her ship. Once there, she used it to reach Mantle's Judgement, which already prepared for her arrival. Once in the ancient Forerunner warship, she left the craft and made her way to the command center, where LIA, the ship's ancilia was finishing her calculations. After some time, the massive Planet-Breaker, surrounded by five Keyships, opened Jumpspace vectors to the system among Doom Legions' universe's stars that had been designated. When her small fleet arrived, the Jumpspace Ruptures would be obvious. Neyla then sat cross-legged, and waited for docking instructions.

On the Malkson Metals Warpship MM22FDG5 Bulneun
"Elzhan, where have you been for the past few days." said Elksoon.
"Well mostly in the engine room, studying the operations of the ship."
"Well you should go visit the sim room sometime with me, I mean this ship is awesome, did you see the meals they can produce."
"Well I have some things to do."
"Well perhaps you could make some time, we always have these wonderful conversations when we bump into each other, wouldn't it be nice to talk some more, perhaps run a combat sim together."
"But.."
"But what?"
"I have a schedule to attend to regarding my studies."
"Is it absolutely that strict, perhaps it could be forgotten accidentally." Elksoon said, smiling.
"It is highly improbable that I would forget them because of the reminder system that uses my implants."
"You're no fun, and considering how much goes over your head I would think you would be much shorter."
"Yes, but..." Elzhan said, blushing.
"Okay, fine, I just thought.."

Her statement was interrupted by the shipboard flight AI making an announcement.
"We are nearing the docking port, authorization has been provided to dock. I would recommend that Elksoon, Elzhan, and their respective guards arrive at the shuttle craft docked at port III."

They walked silently to the docking port and then pulled themselves through into its spacious interior. There they sat as it pulled out of the bay and into the station, an awkward silence pervading the entire craft, only interrupted by the firing of the thrusters that moved them into the docking bay. Once they reached the bay they both disembarked into the shuttle bay.
"Impressive, very impressive, and to think that I have a concert here." mused Elksoon aloud, as to attempt to get a response from Elzhan, though it was an effort that proved futile as Elzhan did not speak a word.

On the C.R.D. Warpship CRD2234SN Guanyu
Vitak Thalnak meditated calmly in the sealed communications room of the warship. She breathed in slowly through her nose, and then she exhaled through her mouth, thinking about the future while floating in freefall in the center of the room. This was a daily ritual for her, she had found it helped her survive the endless stress of her job at the C.R.D. as well as her past in the absolute absurdity of the vast game of poker that some call intelligence gathering. In a way she was a gambler, just as her name Vitak, the name of the gambler in Khalseul mythology who played games not with money but with civilizations, implied. She too played games with civilizations, with the marbles representing the lives of those close to her, information that could win or loose a war, valuable, dangerous information. If she was to lie she had to lie perfectly, if she decided to do something, it had to be an absolute decision, a perfect one that could not be easily faulted. And throughout it all there ran the common matter of her past, of her life before the C.R.D. But that was over, all that mattered was the now and in she breathed slowly, attempting to contain that stress and suppress it completely.

But her session of meditation was interrupted by a calm voice emanating from the communications equipment in the room, "There is an incoming message from Information Services, OTP encrypted, would you like me to initiate the connection Vitak? "
"Yes, please, open the comms channel, OTP."
"I will do that at once Vitak, would you please hold still as I verify your identity." replied the computer.
A small robotic arm extended itself, carrying a cable inside it, and plugged itself into a port located at the back of her head. She stood almost perfectly still, twitching her finger slightly when the connection was established. The port then sent the relevant credentials to the communications equipment computer and those were correlated with the retinal scan and DNA test to confirm her identity. Once this was completed the channel opened, using her implant to display the image on the other side of the connection.
"Hello Thalnak, I am happy to see that you are well and that the wormhole jumps did you no harm.

But let's get down to business, your mission. So, I would normally prefer to describe the various plans we now have based on updated information, and where they differ from our original mission plan. But sadly that information has not been forthcoming. Our listening post on Orginania has provided nothing, save for a few baffling statements about the "Aspect of Doom" and all that. I must say that this mission is uncertain, that the nature of the operation has me at an extreme unease. We know what they do to captured spies, and I doubt your diplomatic cover will count for much if you are sighted breaking into the lower levels of the ship. They also have been rather quiet about this whole trip on the various open channels we know of, though I do not know if this is because of the number of people arriving or the gala, or a trap that has been planted. Regardless, you know your mission, and to put it as one old earth show said 'should you choose to accept it' is to gather information about their information technology."
"I understand Director, the procedures will be carried out in time, and the data collected."
"Good, that is what I want to hear. I hope to see you back on Chulran in time, and remember, take what you can, but be careful, we do not have nearly the military capacity of the Doom Legions, so gather the information that you feel safe to gather. There is absolutely no shame in caution."

The channel closed and she felt a slight shift in the gravity of the ship. They were entering the final stretch of the journey to the station via warp. They must have fallen out of warp so that the communication could be executed. Soon she would be there, and she would gather information of the greatest variety, information that can be used to gather more. Or would she? She sensed a degree of unease about the whole affair, an undeniable wrongness that pervaded it all. She vaguely remembered a story about a fly that was invited into a parlor by a spider and was eaten, and in this case the Doom Legions accepted her request to visit the event and would be providing her with almost complete access to their cryptographic equipment, as well as doubtless the equipment of many other nations. But perhaps, she thought, that was the parlor, and she was the fly.

Shuttle MoFA-05578-2365; Legion space
18:09 Local time

"Exiting FTL in 3... 2... 1."

A tear through Hyperspace is seen materialising about 50 kilometres from the station. Through it, comes out a Mercedes-Benz Elegance-class luxury shuttle, one owned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Terran Imperium. The craft comes to a dead stop, as the shipboard AI reactivates sub-light systems. The captain contacts the station.

"This is shuttle zero-five-five-seven-eight of the Terran Imperium, carrying diplomatic cargo, requesting permission to dock. Please respond. We are here for a certain... ADL gala."

After getting a go from the Radiant Soul, the shuttle activated its thrusters to a course toward the station. Inside the shuttle is the 7th Duke of Ilium, and the Empire's ambassador to the gala, Redford Montgomery. Laughing, or rather merely grinning, at a meme sharing application on his phone, he is tapped by one of his security aides.

"Your grace, we will be arriving at the gala soon. I strongly suggest you get readied up... we'll be arriving in a few minutes."

"Ah, yes, right. Tell the captain to have the crew get the painting on display once we land. I'll just have a quick wash. Also, do inform Westminster that we've arrived, thank you."

"Very good, your grace."

The ship makes its way to main hangar of the planetcracker, one a marvel of architecture. The captain looks in awe at the station's gigantic size and arsenal of weaponry, a look accompanied by a bit of fear; a fear partly relieved when she realises the fact that war isn't on today's schedule, at least for them.

"Synchronising artificial gravity. Extending landing gear. Steady... and... success. We've landed, your grace."

"I can see that, captain Eliza. Say, is there still champagne in the refrigerated storage?"

"Yes sir, there are still... uhm... 4 bottles. Would you get one, sir?"

"I must say, a glass would be perfect right now. Anyways, the painting?"

"Ah, yes. The crew has unloaded it from storage and handed it over to the station for display."

"Very well."

Duke Montgomery walks toward the shuttle's door, adjusting his tie, and maybe applying a bit of cologne. The door opens, and his two security aides go down the ramp first. He walks out a short while later, phone in one hand, briefcase in another.

"So, it begins." he says with optimistic gist.

Heavy Planetcracker Radiant Soul
Main Hangar

The guests were already starting to arrive, some were brought in by Legion shuttles, others had their own private shuttles. Then there were those who chose for a more dynamic entry. The moment the jumpsace ruptures were detected, the small fleet deployed to guard the station, mainly consisting of powerful Armageddon-Class Warships, positioned themselves in a protective formation. When the Taigawanese fleet entered the system they were quickly hailed and given docking instructions. The captains of the Legion fleet kept a wary eye at the new arrivals however, ready to strike at the slightest hint of treachery.

Back in the main hangar, the guests that had already arrived were gathering together in front of the welcoming committee. Besides the foreign guests there were also a few people of import or influence within the Legions arriving. There were a lot of armed guards present in the hangar, Legionnaires wearing their signature power armour stood ready to intervene if necessary, keeping a watchful eye on the new arrivals and those that were still coming in.
Flanked by two such guards was a woman wearing aquamarine robes, an Arcanist. Using a simple spell, she magnified her voice to be heard over the chatter and throughout the entire hangar.
"Greetings and welcome aboard the Radiant Soul! I am Arcanist Therys and I have the privilige of welcoming you all to this event!" She said adressing the small crowd, her magnified voice echoing slightly. "My lord has instructed me to guide you to the main hall of the station, where he is expecting you. If you'd please?" She gestured for the guests to follow her through a large door that led to a long hallway, where a large red carpet made a path flanked by marble pillars and various statues of odd alien creatures of different kinds. It ended at a large statue fountain made in the likeness of Princess Stellaria, flanked by two staircases that joined together at the top, where on a balcony stood High Doomlord Sindrannox and something that appeared to be a kind of massive elevator behind him.

After having led the guests to the High Doomlord, Therys took her leave. She bowed respectively then disappeared in a flash of blue light, teleporting back to the main hangar to welcome the next wave of guests.
With a nod, Sindrannox adressed the crowd. "Thank you all for coming! My name is High Doomlord Sindrannox and I will be your host for this evening. We have an extensive program planned for this evening that I'm sure you all will find entertaining. But while we wait for all expected guests to arrive, we have prepared drinks and some food, if you would join me?" He said, stepping into the 'elevator' behind him. Once everyone was gathered there, he turned to a pedestal and activated it. In a flash of light similar to when Therys disappeared, they were teleported up to the observation deck, where they entered the lounge where several servants stood ready. There was a long bar with an impressive collection of various beverages and several comfortable looking couches stood, flanked by a large aquarium filled with exotic fishes.
"Please, make yourselves at home. Have a drink, have a snack, it's on the house!" Said Sindrannox, as he took a glass from one of the platters the servants carried.

That they would be cautious about her was expected, given the current state between the two nations. Still, Neyla was here to enjoy herself, not to escalate hostilities. As powerful as Forerunner warships were, she was far outnumbered, and likely outgunned. She went to the transport she had used originally to board her warship and left, but her chosen shuttle, a Rayshell transport was not escorted. The reason for this was two-fold, and that was because as far as she knew, in this system, they were on the same side, and to demonstrate that she was fearless, and willing to entrust her safety to the owners of the war station before her. When the craft arrived, it deployed a bright beam of light in front, and from this emerged Neyla and a pair of Thessian Honor Guard. She at once followed the instructions given to her as was common curtsey before she deactivated her armor. Though she knew full well that made her vulnerable to attack, she wanted to try the food the foreigners had prepared, and her armor simply made that unnecessary, since it would keep her fed weather she ate anything or not. It was also because Neyla saw it as poor form not to partake.

Heavy Planetcracker Radiant Soul, Observation Deck Lounge
Elksoon was suprised by the teleportation, and judging by the look on Elzhan's face, he was likewise surprised. It was not the existence of teleportation technology that was jarring. The S.U.A.U. had long known of other star states that use such tech. But rather it was the fact that it was used so casually and on so few people. The only form of teleportation known to the Union were wormholes, and those were massive structures that required decades to build and transported massive amounts of cargo between systems. There, of course, were rumors with the C.R.D., claiming that they had the ability to teleport people, though there were also rumors that the C.R.D. had the ability to breach into other universes and had a vast army of extra-universal beings ready at a moment's notice. Of course no one believed those rumors, so it was also unreasonable to imagine that the C.R.D. has the ability to teleport people as well, considering the low accuracy of most rumors.

After the initial shock wore off Elksoon saw the vastness of the different dishes available on the deck, and having not eaten that much on the Bulneun for the last few hours, decided to randomly pick up what appeared to be some sort of gelatin dish that reminded her of the traditional fermented fish tripe jelly that she enjoyed. But it was not fermented fish jelly, as she quickly deduced when she took a bite out of it. Instead it was a repulsively sweet concoction containing some sort of fruit. Elksoon almost vomited slightly at it, though she managed to hold in her stomach. She then gave it one of the staff to dispose of it, and took a glass of what appeared to be unsweetened coffee, and drank that instead, finding it far more suitable, sitting at a couch in the far corner of the lounge, between the windows looking into space and a fish tank.

Elzhan had decided not to eat anything, instead he looked around and saw Redford Montgomery. Seeking to make a good impression he walked up to him, adjusting his hair slightly, making sure it did not brush against the blue glowing makeup that went from the center of his forehead and swept down in two sections into his eyes.
"Hello, Redford Montgomery, can I just call you Redford? Anyway, so, how is it back on Ilium? I am Elzhan Malkson, heir to the Malkson Metals corporation, in case you were wondering. It is nice to finally meet you."

On the C.R.D. Warpship CRD2234SN Guanyu
The CRD2234SN Guanyu was far smaller than the Bulneun. It's length was a mere 30 meters compared to the massive 200 meter long Bulneun, it also carried no shuttles for landing, instead it was designed to use it's propellant augmented beam core antimatter engines for landing on planets, nor did it have a crew beyond the single occupant it carried. Overall it was more of a cutter when compared to the massive yacht that the Bulneun was. But altogether it was a superior craft to the Bulneun. Whereas the Bulneun was only capable of 80 times the spee of light, the Guanyu was capable of over 120 times the speed of light, though that was restricted information. Whereas the Bulneun was equipped with basic civilian sensor arrays, the Guanyu was equipped with multidimensional probes that could see past walls and into the internal structure of buildings not shielded against them.

Vitak Thalnak, as before, was sitting in the communications room, meditating on the present course of events, going over every last detail as the ship moved forwards in space to what she was now certain was either an incredibly obvious trap, or in incredibly foolish lapse of judgment. Both options seemed incredibly improbable, the Doom Legions generally were not blatant in their plans, but nor were they so simple as to leave such obvious sucurity holes in their systems.

"Vitak, we are nearing the hangar at the station and have been cleared for docking." said the shipboard AI over the intercom system.
Vitak carefully left the chamber, making certain not to accidentally activate her matter field manipulator implants and to wear a shielding vest that would project a normal Valhua Precision exoskeleton matrix, and completely leave out the other devices she had implanted. She was
"Halt the docking procedure, hold in standby and pretend you misheard the orders." She stated, suddenly as they were a mere 2 million kilometers from the station.
"Affirmative, could you please explain why."
"Just a few matters that need to be cleared up." she said, mystically and knowing completely that those words provided no window into the reason why she ordered the ship to halt.

Observation Deck; Planetcracker Radiant Soul
18:40 Local time

Even after the teleportation sequence, the duke can be still seen sporting his calm look, and the same can be said for his aides. Despite the concept of teleportation just still being an idea being tested within the Empire's most prestigious laboratories, the envoy has been briefed about Legion technology, and has been mostly assured that there was nothing to worry about.

Now at the observation deck of the station, he looked at the multitude of food and drink, with a beautifully decorated lounge as its backdrop. He smiled in awe, reminded of his previous experiences with other gatherings such as this.

"Alright, you two...", he signals his guards, "... go get yourselves something to drink, we're awfully safe here, you won't be shooting anything anytime soon."

"Yes, your grace."

The two go their ways, and the duke goes to the dish trays. Taking what he assumed was a small piece of Gouda cheese, his favourite, on a wooden toothpick, he proceeded to make his way to the beverages section.

That is, until he heard someone call out his name.

He looked up at the other, taller guest, one who introduced himself as Elzhan Malkson.

"Ah, yes, a pleasure to make your acquaintance. You may call me 'Red', my nickname, if you please... though sometimes my friends mispronounce it as 'Fred'. And, yes, things are going quite well in Ilium. Industry is booming, trade is flourishing; though recently, one of Vienna Energy's bigger hydrogen refineries closed down, but I'm content that my planet's five-thousand light years from the front lines."

Heavy Planetcracker Radiant Soul
Control Bridge

The Control bridge of the station was relatively quiet, none of the sounds from the party reached the place. Several guards stood idly at the entrances and a couple more patrolled around. Many operator seats were empty, but a few were still occupied. A full complement wouldn't be needed at the time, it would generally only be needed in combat or if the Planetcracker was acting as a base of operations for an active campaign. Neither was the case.

In charge of the bridge was Fleetmaster Itharis, allowing the High Doomlord to focus on the event. His job was simple, make sure all approaching shuttles are verified and can securely dock and keep an eye out for any trouble and there were very few that would dare start trouble within Legion space.
Itharis was simply sitting in his chair, enjoying the quiet, when an operator requested his attention.
"Sir, we have a ship on approach but they haven't responded to our docking instructions, orders?" Asked the operator.
"Send the instructions again, ask them to verify if they recieved. Maybe there's a communications error. Deploy a squadron of interceptors and have them escort them to the hangar, tell me if they do anything suspicious." Said Itharis.
The operator hailed the ship again, it was still 2 million kilometers away, so if it turned hostile there would be plenty of window to shoot it down before it could reach the station. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that.
"Come in please, this is Legion Planetcracker Radiant Soul, I am transmitting docking instructions, please verify." Said the operator. "We have a squadron of fighters on approach to escort you, please stand by.."

Observation Deck

Sindrannox looked outside, and noticed the interceptor squadron being deployed and quickly move too far away to see with the naked eye. He activated his communicator, contacting Fleetmaster Itharis.
"Come in, Itharis. I just noticed a squadron of Fenrirs leaving the station, do we have a situation?" He asked.
A few seconds passed and Itharis replied. "Nothing serious my lord, some communications trouble with an incoming ship, I've sent the squadron to escort. Nothing to worry about."
"I would hope so. Keep me posted, we can't jeopardize the security of the station. Double check if the shield are active and weapons are ready to fire."
"Will do my lord, Itharis out."

Turning his attention back to the guests, Sindrannox took note of Empress Neyla. Relations between their two empires were not under the best conditions, so he approached her.
"Empress Neyla, I presume?" He said with a minor but respectful bow. "How fares life on Thessia?"
Cum is stored in the brain, and I've got a headache.

Neyla did not expect the Doomlord himself to want to talk to her, but she remained calm. If anything, to ensure she was still able to stay in p!esent spirits. "Thessia is preparing for war, Doomlord. The Flood have dared to attack The Path to Shangri-La Colony, the outermost world in our home system. Abigail, my military adviser, assures me the home world is safe however. Just to be sure though, I placed Armarli station and the Orbital defenses of that world and it's moon Liasha on alert in case they try anything again. The Archives under Illium told us things about them that would throw the civilian population into chaos unseen since the Human Invasion two centuries ago. But enough of war for now. My daughter Liara graduated from the Zhengzhou Point Military Academy in Nos Arcadia a few weeks ago, and will be joining the Imperial army as a Captain. Shi'era...well, she's one of the commanders of our forces defending our colony in the Rimworld system. My eldest, Shiala had to stay home. She's the one I entrusted with ruleeship of the Ecumene while I am here. All in all, my life has been peaceful. In fact, Analayla, one of the councilors, just told me she has a new superweapon spell in the works, but she won't say much else, then there are other projects I won't say much on for the sake of security, you understand."

On the C.R.D. Warpship CRD2234SN Guanyu
The transmissions were received by the craft that was now sitting on a regular flight pattern, acting as though it had not heard the docking instructions that had been provided earlier. The shipboard AI, patterned after the mind of a Chul spaceship pilot, was at this point, confused by the instructions provided by its controller, but was not programmed to avoid following them or to ask questions, regardless of how it felt about the orders it was given. So when it received the new set of instructions, it immediately decided to format them in the way most likely to receive an answer.
"Vitak, we are detecting a series of interceptors being sent to our craft. They outgun us, and it is unlikely we would win any engagement. We also have received docking instructions, would you like me to follow them?" the AI asked, half expecting an answer, half not.
Vitak seemed oddly relieved at their reaction to her orders. "Excellent, allow them to escort us, follow their orders and land us in the hangar. They are likely to ping us with their sensors when we come closer, likely to inspect us further. Make certain to record those sensors sweeps with our passive detection system and store it in the sealed room. I want the data sent back to the C.R.D. once we leave. I also want you to intercept the communications between the interceptors and the station as they communicate with them, because we do not know exactly how they transmit information, record and store all sensor data unilaterally from now until we reach the station and dock."
"As you wish, Vitak."
The ship moved, the small propellant augmented antimatter beam engines expelling jets of plasma to propel it forwards in compliance with the requirements of the Doom Legion commands. The sensor systems began recording every last bit of data that came in, and the advanced communications interception suite that the C.R.D. had covertly installed began to operate at full capacity, ready to skim what it could, though it was likely that what data it would get would be complete gibberish without the means to decode it.

Elksoon had, after trying a variety of different foods and beverages, deciding that they all were far to sickeningly sweet or otherwise were objectionable, decided to simply sit at the edge of the room and sit at the whiskey she had obtained at the bar. It was an odd and exotic beverage, she thought, complex in flavor, and certainly better than the alcohol they had back on Chulran which all had a flat, flavorless profile with little about it beyond the impact of the alcohol itself to go for it. She looked out the window a few times, observing the interceptors exiting the station and entering space, flying off, thinking not much of them but of the supreme beauty of it all, the elegant simplicity with which the interceptors had left the station and entered space, using technology far beyond that of even the C.R.D. She looked over at the other guests and saw that most of them were presently in conversation or otherwise occupied, so she decided to strike up a bit of a conversation with one of her guards.
"So, what did you think of the teleportation?"
"I am impressed that they have developed it this much that it can be causally used like an elevator."
"Yeah, it definitely is impressive."
"And frightening"
"Definitely a bit frightening, considering what they could possibly do with it. But I prefer to look on the positive side of it all."
"Well sure, at least they are our allies."
"Plus, the C.R.D. might have developed it."
"I do not see that as likely, they have advanced tech, but not this advanced."
"Well we can never know..."
...
The conversation continued for quite some time, rambling on about the topic of teleportation and the merits of the Doom Legions having it, and the possibility of the C.R.D. having it too. It when over the topics, supposed on various things, and overall did not much more than simply fill the air with words.

While that was occurring Elzhan was having his own little adventure, also oblivious to the events involving the interceptors. Rather he was attempting to make new friends in this place and hopefully impress his father when he returned. Thus he to endeavored to fill the air with words, though of ever so slightly different content.
"That is unfortunate that a hydrogen refinery shut down, if you need any help in trade or matters like that, I am certain one of our companies could help, we could always use more uranium, thorium, and lithium. But regardless, economies are definitely one of the harder things to maintain, unlike wars they are not won within a few short decisions and battles. Oh, and nice suit, by the way, and you can call me Shalk if you want."

"Very well, Shalk... and thank you, I had this suit is custom-made by my personal tailor, made of silk and cotton... stylish and comfortable. Well, I'm just His Majesty's designated governor for Ilium, its economy is managed by the bureaucrats for the task. The resources are under the rights of the various mining companies who own them. However, I can tell you that the empire has quite a lot of mines for minerals such as... yes, uranium. I have authority over none, though I can give you contact information for various companies who would be happy to negotiate deals."

For a second, his gaze turns to the window. Seeing a squadron of fighters being dispatched, he shrugs it off, turning back to Elzhan.

"So, how about you? How goes things back at Malkson Metals corp?"

He takes a glass of white wine from the bar, and takes a sip, anticipating an answer from his new acquaintance.

Elzhan was standing there, sipping from his glass of coffee when the ambassador asked him the question.
"It has been all sort of a mixed bag recently." Elzhan said. "Hyperide Technologies has been taking up our market share with their new Palson v1 Atmospheric Corvette. The thing is awesome, just I sort of wish it was not us who faced the brunt of the market shift. However, we have been doing pretty good on our civil construction industry side of things. We expect to have a new series of skyscrapers under construction soon, so that should bring in profit. Though truth be told, I have absolutely nothing to do with any of this, I am just the corporate heir, and thus a simple errand boy who happens to hold diplomatic positions.

The rest of the Union is also doing pretty good, and the ascension of Nalksoom Ghalsoom to Junior Triumvir..."
Elzhan paused for a few seconds, thinking about how to describe the situation in a neutral way so that Nalksoom Ghalsoom would not be offended if she were to read it, while still avoiding giving any tacit approval to her xenophobic rants and militaristic views.
"Rather a bit of a source of controversy in the Triumvirate and among the other companies, needless to say."

He took a sip at his glass of black coffee and returned to talking.

"So how was your trip here?" Elzhan asked

Elksoon was also there, just as she was before, and beginning to bore of the conversation with her guards. They were not the most intelligent fellows, nor did they really have any interesting things to say. Heck, they had not even listened to any of her music. So she decided she would try and talk to someone else, anyone else, really. Elzhan was likely still irritated from earlier and was having a conversation with someone from the The Terran Imperium, and needless to say breaking that up would not work well. She looked to Empress Neyla and saw that she was engaged in a conversation with the High Doomlord Sindrannox, another thing that probably would not end well being broken up. She wondered, briefly, if the person from the C.R.D. would arrive soon, though she also dismissed that as an option for conversation. She had met several C.R.D. officials before and had heard enough about them to know that they rarely would provide a straight answer to even the most simple of questions. Thus she decided she would simply walk towards the Sindrannox and Neyla and wait somewhere nearby until she found herself either pulled into the conversation or it ended and she decided to approach one of them. Regardless though, she was not really part of the official diplomatic mission, being only there as a cultural attache and entertainer, mostly with the goal of improving the standing of Chul culture among the other nations.

"Oh, I see." the duke said after listening. Then he was asked with another question, to which he replied:

"My trip? Well, I got the call from my boss, Foreign Minister Andrea Collins, about this gala... uhm... thing, just four days ago. Honestly, I almost refused the order, but I had nothing much to do aside from reading e-mails and scanning paperwork. Anyways, at 12 o'clock noon, today, as I was finishing my lunch, the shuttle arrived in the landing pad of my estate back in Ilium. I got dressed, and went on my way. We travelled through Hyperspace for like three hours, going to the orbit of New Sahara to access the Trans-Universal Gate... to get to this place. After waiting, they opened the Gate, but since the thing was... well... experimental..."

He sips some of his wine, continuing.

"... we arrived in this universe 43 light years off our intended course, according to the captain. We had to jump through Hyperspace for another hour to get to the Radiant Soul, thankfully we got here just in time."

As he finished speaking, one of his security aides taps him.

"We're getting calls, sir."

"From who? Can't they see I'm in the middle of something?"

"From... uhm... well... it's her again, sir."

"Her? Ignore it... I've had enough of her lies already."

"Very well, sir."

He turns back to Elzhan. "Excuse me for that. Anyway, hmm... that... fellow, of yours... who is he, or maybe she?" He said, pointing at Elksoon. "A friend... or perhaps more?" He asks, smirking.

Sindrannox let out a little laugh and mildly shook his head. "For someone who claims to live a mostly peaceful life, yours seems quite heavily influenced by war and general violence. Not that that's a bad thing, of course, tragedy gives birth to greatness, afterall." The High Doomlord paused for a moment, noticing Elksoon approaching them. "But it's good to see you have things well under control. I've heard stories of the Flood, they are as fascinating as they are terrifying." He then turned to Elksoon, taking a second to take in her appearance, finding her to look a little silly but did not comment on that. "Well hello, enjoying the evening? .. Oh pardon me, I do not believe we have formally met before!" He said and extended his hand. "High Doomlord Sindrannox, First Legion, pleasure to meet you, lady..?" He said, expecting Elksoon to finish the sentence for him.

Meanwhile, outside the station the wing of Fenrir-Class Interceptors met up with the approaching shuttle, the squadron leader performed a quick scan of the vessel, scanning for lifesigns, before joining the rest of the squadron forming up around the shuttle, guiding it towards the station. Comms chatter between them was minimal, and mostly consisted of the squadron's leader sending orders to the others.
"Feek nan den shu'zem, giden tu'u khazadurma." Sounded the orders, the pilots communicating using the ancient Legion-Paginistan battle language. "Fenra tetran, feek nan behdra den shu'zem, ben klara tu'u hithrow den targan, jun en cara." Came another order, and one of the interceptors formed up behind the shuttle, following the others from that position.

It did not take long for them to reach the station and the hangar doors opened up to allow the shuttle to dock.

Heavy Planetcracker Radiant Soul, Hangar Bay
Vitak walked down from the glass enclosed command deck located in the ship's cupola module and moved to the airlock elevator, flipping a small switch along the way that activated the automatic data scrubbing system that would delete all saved sensor data in the event someone were to attempt to break into the ship. From what she could tell the run had been far dryer than she had anticipated, with far less data than she had wanted to have extracted, extracted. But data was data, and even if it was not much it would be a start for what she knew would be a long event for her, with every step a possible source of disaster.

Once she was inside the airlock elevator she adjusted her suit slightly, nervous that the protection from scanning it provided would somehow be damaged, allowing them to see her matter repulsion control implants. Unlike the brightly colored clothes that the others wore, hers was a far more modest and austere in it's styling, being composed of a white jacket containing a helmet that would fold out in case of a loss of pressure that went over a white skintight spacesuit that was covered on the bottom by a pair of boots. She then waved her hand over the relevant sensor, causing the airlock to descend to the deck and then open up, allowing her to exit it.

Overall she thought the ship was impressive, if not a tad gaudy for her tastes, having quite a bit in common with the excess of the corporations in the Union, and far from the minimalist styling that pervaded the C.R.D. But it was still not entirely unpleasant, though the absurdity of having such ornamentation throughout what presumably was originally a military vessel still struck her, especially since, from what data she was provided, this was all a minor upgrade from the original state of the vessel, where the decorations were almost exactly as opulent and excessive as they were now.

Heavy Planetcracker Radiant Soul, Observation Deck Lounge
Elzhan acted somewhat nervously at the proposal that he was interested in Elksoon, who at this point was hovering nearby the High Doomlord and Neyla, presumably attempting to talk to one of them. "No, she is the Cultural Attache of sorts for this entire event, at some point I presume it is planned that she will sing, though I did not ask her when particularly she would. You see, she is a pop star back in the Union, and a rather popular one at that, with over a billion fans. She currently works for for Enteron Entertainment Incorporated, the largest entertainment company in the Union, in fact she was created by their genetics department to look similar to a human.

And no, she is not anything more, I do not at all regularly listen to her music. I am absolutely not attracted to her at all. She looks almost like a human and speaks like one, which makes the concept of sexual relations with all her extremely revolting, and otherwise I find her and all other humans roundly unattractive."

Immediately after he said that last line he realized the absolute idiocy of calling all humans revolting and unattractive in front of the rather abundantly human Duke Montgomery, and seeking to repair what damage that may have had been done, he decided to amend his last statement.

"Not that I find all humans revolting, for example, I find you rather attractive. It is just that I find female humans to be absolutely revolting and not at all interesting, but I find the prospect of sexual relations with male humans entirely acceptable."

While this matter was occurring Elksoon "Ah, yes, Elksoon, pop singer of Enteron Entertainment, cultural attache." She remembered the gifts that she was to deliver to the various other members of the Gala, and she motioned to her guard to produce one of the packages, a glass box containing a heavily ornamented pistol like device.

"The Stellar Union would like to express their gratitude for our positive relations with your country, for that there is this gift. It is a replica of the gun used to signal the start of the first nuclear test in the Union. The inscription on it's barrel reads "Juksheek-no khon-cheu ghal-shah." or "Knowledge will Resurrect", rather fitting considering the nature of the task it was involved in." She held the glass box on her hands and extended it to the Doom Lord, waiting for him to take it.

"I try not to dwell on it too much. After all, that war was a long time ago, and we have long recovered from it, and among our cities, there is barely a trace of the genocide these savages wrought upon my kind. Well, unless you go looking for it that is. Engawa is home to the most preserved ruins daring from the genocides. A city called Ming once stood nearby, and Engawa grew into the area as we recovered. Now they city was where we sought peaceful coexistence, but the humans had none of our honeyed words of peace. No, they wanted to eradicate my kind and take Thessia by force. Doomlord, be assured that we gave our all in that war, but if it were not for the fortunete discovery of the Forerunners' ruins beneath my palace, I very likely would not be here. As to the Flood, the Archives gave us warning, so I ordered the construction of an extensive orbital defense grid around Thessia to protect our home world and Liasha, our moon. Supported by our largest fleet, we are more then prepared should they dare attack us there. Though as a people, we live by the dictate of the Mantle, I, and by extension my people, understand war is an inevitable part of my responsibility as ruler of the Ecumene, and we will defend what is ours to the best of our ability."

After finishing her speech, the tigress went off to grab a plate and prepare to eat, leaving the Doomlord and the mysterious other guest to talk.

Aozora Chiyumi, Supreme Overlady of All Reality, had mostly been taking in the sights of the vessel. It was incredibly advanced, far beyond the technology of Kyoki Chudoku. Yet it mostly reminded her of the Third Era. All of this technology, starships and alien beings, it was like she was back in that time.

"Aozora, I know it's a very impressive ship, but there is a reason we came here." said Kiku, who had grabbed a sample of food for both of them. Her tone was one of mild concern. It would be very unfortunate for this rare opportunity to interact with others across the universe.

"Sorry, we should probably actually do something. I just...one day, we'll have tech like this."

The Supreme Overlady of All Reality was no expert in diplomacy, so she decided to approach the most important-seeming individual, the pair of Gomon Hito and Kiku behind her. In this case, it was the High Doomlord. An interesting title to be sure. However, as she approached, she noticed he seemed to be already engaged in conversation.

Oh like there's no such thing as a group conversation.

"Hello there. Very, very impressive ship. Planetcracker, was it called? I wish I had technology like this. Then again, I'd probably end up blowing up random places for fun with it..."

"Okay... uhm..." the duke blurted out after Elzhan had finished speaking, with a smiling but uncomfortable expression in his face. After placing the regret of asking that question aside, with gulping the rest of his wine empty, of course, he takes a deep breath and asks.

"So, would Malkson Metals be interested in a... uhm... trade deal... with... uhm... a selection of companies of the Terran Imperium? If you're looking for purchases of uranium, plutonium, and other radioactive materials, I can put a good name for you at... yes, Pacific Geo Corp, my friend is the... um... the COO of the company."

He thinks for a moment.

"Ah, yes, lithium. Vienna Energy and BP have plentiful stockpiles as waste products from star reaping, if I recall correctly. Usually, they just take the hydrogen from the stars for fusion fuel, and waste elements such as helium, lithium, and the lot, just stored and sold for other industrial purposes."

Redford takes another glass of wine from the bar, facing back at Elzhan as he takes a large sip.

ABOARD THE CRUISER GMSC DEMIROD, SPATIAL DETACHMENT WHISKEY, NEAR LEGION SPACE, 19:51 HOURS

The large cruiser and its escorts slowly glided through deep space, a considerable distance away from their home. The coordinates had just been transmitted for the ADL event, and the ship carried the Turvi-Kasch and his elites towards the Planetcracker station as fast as possible.

On board, the extensive hangar section of the ship was strangely devoid of crafts, except for the GMSC Litch, the magnificent multipurpose stealth ship, equipped with high-speed nuclear-pulse engines and an extensively stolen developed cloak-shield system. It sat alone in the middle of the hangar, suspended above the huge closed doors at the bottom of the deck.

Grand Marshal Turvi-Kasch II walked confidently along the riveted floor with a freshly lit cigar in his mouth, followed closely by Overgeneral W.J. Sponz, and a myriad of government officers and their security detail. Sponz was still tired after the shuttle ride from New Blackwitch to the cruiser, unlike the Turvi-Kasch, who had the luxury of using his brain-based-cybernetics to simply re-adjust his biological clock.

"I'm glad to see you're ready, Sponz." said the Grand Marshal, confidently. "I take it you've made all the preparations I talked about earlier?"

Sponz took another sip off his black coffee before setting on a tool cart and straightening his tie. "Of course. I've gotten everything you asked for in order. Hopefully, you and everyone else is ready to depart?"

"Definitely," Turvi-Kasch replied, somewhat annoyed. "No need for more time to be wasted, right everyone?"

The group of officers nodded distractedly.

Sponz stepped over to the metal staircase leading to the Litch's airlock. "Very well then. Away we go."

Everyone quickly climbed the staircase and boarded the ship. The pilots radioed the bridge, and the few personnel in the hangar cleared out as the doors directly below the ship opened and the docking clamp holding the ship was released. Once the GMSC Litch cleared the doors, it spun up its nuclear pulse drives and took off at high speed, heading towards the Radiant Soul.

Everyone aboard relaxed in the crew quarters preparing themselves for the Galla. The Turvi-Kasch glanced at the holographic display panels towards the back of the crew quarters, showing the craft's current position and direction in relation to their destination. He saw they were a minute away from crossing the border into space controlled by the Legion, and slowly got up, extinguishing his cigar and walking towards the entrance to the cargo bay. He swiftly dialed in the code onto the keypad by the hatch and opened it, making sure to shut it behind him. Standing in the center of the room was a man dressed in a dark green Dominion officer suit. "Sir." he said, calmly.

"Do as I instructed you earlier. Do not let anyone else into the lower level. Understand?"

The man nodded.

The Grand Marshal handed him a long, boxy device, which the man took and stashed under his coat. "Good."

The Litch had crossed the border into Legion-controlled space, and had already transmitted the invitation and IFF codes to the Radiant Soul. After being granted permission to dock, the ship slowed its engines as it passed by the mooring beacon and carefully slipped into the hangar, before gently landing and cutting engine power.

Turvi-Kasch, Sponz, and the rest all moved to the back end of the ship, preparing to disembark. They were accompanied by three of the Dominion's Leadership Special Security (or LSS) elite bodyguards, armed with concealed Rukill-model Magpistols and specially made disruptor batons, and a security android armed with a long-range stunner. Sponz found it a tad excessive for an event like the Gala, but Turvi-Kasch felt it was necessary just in case.

The back ramp slowly opened up unveiling the hangar already filled with ships. Everyone slowly walked down and entered the massive room. "I suppose the event has already begun, Marshal." Sponz remarked.

The Turvi-Kasch nodded, and the two made their way to the main compartments while the other officers aboard the Litch stuck around in hangar.

Sindrannox carefully took the gift from Elksoon. "Unexpected, but not unwelcome! I thank you, I will make sure to put in a good word about you and your people with the Aspect." He then handed the gift to a servant. "Bring this to my quarters, please. Break it and I will throw you out the airlock." He said sincerely. The servant merely saluted, took the gift and departed, clearly used to such threats.
"While you are still here, you should definetly try out the chocolate milk, I assure you it will make anything you've had before pale in comparison! If you like sweet things, that is." The High Doomlord said to Elksoon before turning to the new arrival. Busy evening for him.

"Well met, lady Chiyumi, was it? She's a fine vessel indeed, powerful too. If you want something gone for good, a Planetcracker can make it happen." He paused. "Considering your interest in the station, I'm sure you'll be interested to know that in a bit we'll have a tour of the station starting, where you'll get to see some of the more inner workings of the station. Someone did suggest we use her to destroy a planet to demonstrate her power, but the Aspect declined, wouldn't be very responsible. I suppose he's right there." He said with a laugh.

Main Hangar

Arcanist Therys was awaiting the next wave of guests in the hangar, a couple more shuttles had just come in to drop of their passengers and Therys welcomed them to the station.
"Welcome, welcome! We've been expecting you, if you'd follow me please, I'll show you all to the observation deck, the other guests are already there." She said, motioning for them to follow, leading them to the teleporter pad and delivering them to the observation deck, before vanishing in the same manner as before.

Not long after an announcement sounded on the intercom: "Greetings, we would like to inform our guests that in a matter of moments a tour of the station will be starting. Those interested are invited to gather at teleportation pad I. Those who do not are free to stay on the observation deck. Have a pleasant evening." Sounded a feminine but mechanical voice.

Neyla had by now eaten !ich of what she wanted to try, though there was still much she wished she had time to indulge in. Still, she wanted to see the inner workings of what she believed was the most powerful warship her potential enemy had. In fact, it was all she could do to not make comparisons to her own Fortress-Class warships. Neyla, with a flick of her tail, activated her armor and walked to the teleporter and waited for whoever else would come. Only the helmet of the ancient Forerunner Armor remained open, and this was only so she could finish eating what she had as she waited.

Heavy Planetcracker Radiant Soul, Observation Deck Lounge
Vitak did not react immediately to the teleportation to the upper deck with any sort of particular emotion. Perhaps a bit of awe filled her, but even that was snuffed out by her control over herself, rather she remained flat, emotionless to some degree, though smiling ever so slightly as to avoid suspicion. Looked about the crowd, they were all a large number of strange folk, she thought to herself. It was good that they were strange to her, for she would be strange to them, and they were likely strange to each other, thus the inherent oddity of her reactions to various things could be passed off through the more comfortable routes, and suspicion avoided, though it did have the distinct disadvantage of making their reactions harder to predict. Most the room was somewhat obvious in their stances. Elzhan was speaking to the ambassador from the Terran Imperium, knowing Elzhan, and seeing that the ambassador did not seem terribly comfortable, she predicted that he had made another one of his famous gaffes. Elksoon had just given a gift to the High Doomlord, she remembered meeting her once, it was about her contacts with the C.P.P., a rather odd event if there was one considering how much the C.P.P. hated her. Empress Neyla seemed to be walking away from a conversation with the High Doomlord, having doubtless discussed their poor relations. Overall it looked like quite the fertile ground for seeding discontent between the powerful, though that was not her mission.

Rather her mission was to gather data regarding their physical systems and not be detected while doing it. The C.R.D. was very intensely interested in the weapons, codes, data, computers, really every last bit of technology the Doom Legions had. Heck, if they could obtain information on the inner functions of their coffee machines they probably be happy as it could prove to be useful somewhere. She had already determined that she would avoid the sim room, she despised sim rooms anyway, but she also realized that any information that came from that would likely be inaccurate, either exaggerated or understated unless it was trivial. She was also supposed to obtain information about the technology of the other visitors, somehow. The mention of the tour on the intercom seemed interesting, though she decided that she would not go immediately there, if at all. Rather she would relax around by the bar, drink some coffee, and then, if there seemed to be significant movement to the pad, and that a good number of people would be going there so that her entrance into it would not accrue any more suspicion, she would go as well. Perhaps it would provide some valuable data on the capabilities of the Doom Legions, though she doubted it, they were not stupid, whatever valuable data they had would be hidden in locked, sealed off areas, areas that would be profoundly dangerous to enter, if not for her, for the safety of the relations between the Union and the Doom Legions.

As Vitak considered her situation, Elzhan continued on, completely unaware of the incredible gaffe he had just committed. The sort of stellar Chul culture that had developed in the Union did not pose any particular taboo on sex, and those views were taken up by the Human residents of the Union, though there was some trepidation in recent immigrants. Thus to him the statement seemed to be utterly innocent, and he did not entirely register the discomfort of the ambassador as being due to the statements he had made in his correction, so much as in his initial screed on the lack of attractiveness in humans.

"Ah, yes, I would be very happy to make a deal with... system.." Malkson stated.

The defense robot moved closer to him and projected a hologram displaying its' make, model. and other information.

"Note Vienna Energy, BP, and Pacific Geo Corp. and their relevant relations. Thank you system." Malkson said, the defense robot closing the hologram and moving back into position behind him.

"Thank you for your information, I hope that proves useful in the future. Anyway, thank you for the information you have provided me, I will be going off to meet some of the new guests."

Elzhan walked off, calmly, robot in tow, to a strange wearing a monocle and a green military uniform. He, somewhat self-consciously, adjusted his purple hair and his red artificial silk dress shirt that he wore half open, revealing the front section of his emergency spacesuit, a blue color not dissimilar from his jeans.

Concurrently with all this Elksoon smiled as Sindrannox suggested the chocolate milk, and then proceeded to gag slightly internally at the thought of another absurdly sweet beverage or food. Instead she decided to walk to the bar and order some food of some sort, she decided she would try Kimchi, it seemed close enough to something she might have at home, and reasonably acceptable. She had had it once in a human restaurant on Chulran, and found it to be good, if not a bit exotic in it's flavor when compared to the equivalent dishes on Chulran. Upon taking a bite she found it to be as predicted, and not too sweet, having a more suitable taste. She heard the request for guests for the tour, and holding her small bowl of Kimchi, decided to stand on the edge of the telporter pad with her two guards flanking her as she stood there calmly, eating.

As Elzhan was leaving, the duke, still in a bit of distress, said to the fellow guest: "You're welcome... and farewell."

Hearing the announcement, Redford made his way to teleportation pad I, half-empty wine glass still in hand, wanting to see and learn more about the station. He figured the Imperial Navy could build machines of war like this, to gain an edge against both the Galactic Federation and the Ichor Coalition, the two nations that the Empire is currently locked in a three-sided conflict with. This was followed by the thought that weapons capable of extinguishing entire planets were already plentiful within the Terran arsenal.

Reaching the teleportation pad, seeing a group of guests before him, he stepped within. He brought out his phone from his trouser pocket, and waited for the tour to begin, browsing the same meme sharing application he was looking at just before he arrived.
