Each episode on Deadliest Warrior, we will pit two of the most feared warriors civilisation has ever known against each other. Along with the use of 21st century science and the latest in CGI technology, each episode enlists warrior-specific, world-class fighters and experts to provide insight into what makes these combatants tick, analysing every facet of their unique skills of destruction, culminating in a head-to-head final fight between two legends of the battlefield that will produce the deadliest warrior.
With each team providing two experts for discussion, we'll get to the bottom of how these groups think as well as fight!
This is the Deadliest Warrior, where warriors fight to the death in a simulated question of who wins. Hosted by Greg Demoule, Dr. Arnold Dovan, Robert "Shark" Shacyzki and Tonya Burlow, with the new tests being created by Dave Baker, the show is ready to go into its latest international debut by expanding into new blood, into never before seen warriors. Only one unit will be crowned

The Deadliest Warrior is an exercise in science. To make this possible, every unit is judged against each other in a series of X-Factors that will outline their abilities and styles on the battlefield.
This competition will be decided in the following way, using this Sheet for reference and scoring. Only OP's may edit the Sheet. Here is the link for the Sheet again.
First, each unit must in their application distribute a maximum of 600 points to describe the style of their unit. You may use less than 600 points, and min-maxing is allowed. This isn't NS Sports after all.
Audacity - the likelihood of your troops to take bold risks. 0 represents a noncombatant force that will avoid conflict at all costs, 100 represents a force that will charge whole-heartedly and fearlessly into any mission.
Intelligence - refers to the combination of the intuitive and educational level of troops (seperate to training, more related to topics such as engineering or foreign languages on top of military training) and the usual amount of military intelligence that can be provided to them by their nation. 0 represents a force of morons with no idea what their mission entails, 100 represents a highly intelligent group of people with a huge network of intelligence gathering tools behind them.
Combat Experience - how experienced your troops are with real combat situations. 0 represents a force that has never seen a combat situation, 100 represents a force that is near-constantly fighting.
Discipline - how disciplined troops are, how likely they will be to follow the orders of their commander to the letter. 0 represents an unorganised force, 100 represents a force that is near-totally loyal to their command and needs their guidance.
Endurance - how long troops can continue in the worst of situations, their physical fitness and ability to keep going even while injured or exhausted. 0 represents a force that can only perform very short operations and must be carried to the mission area, 100 represents a force with a deep focus on long range, independent operations and patrols.
Extremism - how devoted troops are to a guiding leader or principle, and how aggressively they will act to protect that. 0 represents a force of no interests other than money or killing for it's own sake,
Morale - how happy troops are to serve. 0 represents a force of slaves with no interest in serving, 100 represents a force who see the ultimate form of nirvana to be their service
Psychological Warfare - how likely troops are to use shock and awe or horrendous brutality to intimidate their enemy. 0 represents a force that covers up any form of violence or brutality to the wider public, 100 represents a force that thinks nothing of crucifying a whole village of innocents for a picture.
Terrain Familiarity - how likely troops are to operate in a familiar and/or their home environment. 0 represents a force that could be called to service mainly in areas like the arctic or deserts but solely is prepared for jungle operations, whereas 100 represents a force that is entirely dedicated to operations in one area.
Training - how well trained troops are for their likely operations. 0 represents a force with absolutely no training, 100 represents a force trained in just about all facets of modern frontline infantry combat (and then some more.)
Second, the RP will commence. Using natural RP, the following things will be discovered:
- Who's weapons are superior?
- How would your special tool help you or hinder the enemy?
- What X-Factors would be most important in a fight between these two warriors?
Thirdly, points will be added and subtracted in the following way:
- Weapons that win the Edge (i.e. being the better weapon) in direct comparisons will buff your warriors by more points, up to 15 points depending on how clear the Edge is. A tie will net both teams 10 points.
- The special tool you nominate will affect a number of X Factors, by buffing your own numbers and taking away from that of the enemy. You will be asked to suggest what X Factors would be impacted, and how severely. The judge will decide what X Factors change, and how much by.
- After the final test, both teams must TG the judge with their "Final Argument." Each side gets to make a final pitch for themselves. Respond to what your opponent has been doing - especially what they've been doing wrong - and give extended details on what you believed your biggest advantage was. Bring up 2-3 things that aren't tested that you think would matter in a fight between both fighters. Please also highlight some X Factors (as many as you think relevant) that you believe would be important in a match up between these two warriors, and tell me why. This must be telegrammed to me, so that neither side gets an unfair advantage! The judge will give you instructions in a post as to when to send the Final Argument.
The Final Argument is an RP, and should be written as an RP section of a few paragraphs of your experts talking. - The most important X-Factors, as nominated by the Final Argument" and the judge, in a theoretical engagement between both sides will be picked. Each team will receive more points to those X-Factors using the equation X = Y÷10, where X is the extra points to be awarded and Y is the amount of points that team already has for that X-Factor. For example, a team with a score of 50 on an important X-Factor would be buffed to 55.
If you are a consistent RPer, an RP bonus of up to 15 points based on speed of replies and quality of posts will be added to your score.
Lastly, the Grand Total of each team will be converted into two shares of 100%. Using this site, a 100 sided die will be rolled 100 times to provide an average. The total average roll is used to decide the winner - if the die's average is larger than the larger percentage share, the lesser share wins. This means that if Unit A has a 51% of winning, and the die produces an average of 51.5%, then Unit B will win (just by the skin of their teeth.)
It's certainly a hard process, but it will make for an authoritative and fair result as opposed to an RP-centric festival. It adds an edge that I think has been lacking from previous DW threads.
Please read these rules before proceeding:
DA RULES OF DW
- Only modern-era warriors are accepted. Anything in the era of 1990-2020 is acceptable, unless you want to play a group of African militia-style special forces with red dots on their AKs - just don't necessarily expect the win.
- Nations may submit one unit per application. Please be aware these are intense RPs and as such, do not over commit. One unit is usually sufficient.
- Absence from the RP for extended periods without an OOC post and expected time of return in this thread is not permitted and your team will be forfeited.
- Decisions of who has the "Edge" in a test rest with the match host. It is appropriate to politely appeal to the host if you disagree, but please respect their decision.
- No very new nations, or nations with under 400 posts (unless it is a puppet nation of a larger nation or otherwise well-known in the RP community) may apply. This is due to the tendency of small nations to quickly CTE.
--- Exceptions can be made when a) A larger, eligible nation invites your nation to a match against them or; b) When two ineligible nations with good quality RP history agree to a match between themselves. I will not place ineligible nations into open matches. - Usual godmod rules apply. You can write about the general effect of your weapons on the various pig carcasses and gelatin bodies, but leave the medical evaluation and weapon effect stuff up to the host. You can write about intended results of course - so something like "the bullet was designed to tumble in the body and cause vicious damage on exit" is ok, whereas "the bullet immediately hit the pig and clearly obliterated it's very essence" is not.
- This is the most important rule. Your application will not be approved unless you post a picture or link a video of a monkey or other primate doing something funny. This is so I know you've read these rules :-)
