The snub was miraculously fast, evading the incoming fire and returning some of it. Lucinda refused to say anything to the men despite the pain she was receiving, mostly electric. But Rhiki squirmed as they neared her.

Whether or not they were suicidal was unknown, but Rhiki ran over to Lucinda, who was now laying on the floor. She embraced him, laughing and sobbing at the same time. But the captain ripped him out of her hands. Their familiars were all wolves, the captain's being the largest.

"Touch any of us and he dies." He said, squeezing the familiar's neck. Lucinda struggled to breathe in the corner, managing to get a simple 'don't' out of her mouth.

The leader crumpled to the ground, his familiar dying easily. Rhiki ran back to Lucinda, who promptly ran back to the others. "I told you not to, now they'll all come.. Please, let's just go.." She said. The other mercenaries stood, not doing anything in particular.

As the cruiser drove away while the troop transports docked into it, a large explosion and splash of water could be heard and seen. "Should take care of them. "
