It could be a multinational deployment if there is support for such an action, or it could be only French members of the ESF if there is not. What are your views of this proposal?"

"Esteemed delegates, as of now, we are facing a worrying situation. The notoriously easy-to-destabilise region of the Middle East is in a humanitarian and a diplomatic crisis. The Ottoman government issued an all out attack against the Kurdish freedom fighters after a period of armistice which was going on for fifteen years. The government had the option to extend this armistice and even reach a comprise, but they chose agression and blood. Knowing the history of the Turkish state and the Kurdish people; we are extremely fearful of a possible Kurdish genocide, which has a high chance of taking place. You may say that we would be violating the sovereignty of a recognised state, but my dear colleagues, we must know that a massacre shouldn't be covered up with diplomatic tricks. We are Europeans, we value equality, freedom and brotherhood for every individual and every people. We must protect the lives at stake, if the situation further worsens. With the reasons we just stated, Fregantes Empire hereby demands an intervention against the Ottoman Empire. After the most-probable success, here is our proposed peace treaty. Make amendments as much as you like."

"None of this is deemed necessary as the Ottoman Empire has openly agreed to peacekeeping troops from the SNL. 1000 are being deployed now, the mission will be to negotiate with Kurdish elders on the matter along with help the Ottoman empire establish a new fond relationship with the Kurds, why would the aggressor allow the SNL to do this? You are all jumping to conclusions. The troops will be divided into two 500 in Diyarkabir and 500 in the Van province where the conflict is taking place.

Proposal to Maintain Sovereignty of the Ottoman Empire
"As all nations near and far from the Ottoman empire prepare for an all out war without first seeking to negotiate we must look for a way to do things reasonably that is why I propose the following"

1.All nations within the DEU must request permission from the DEU and receive at least 6 vote allowing said nation conduct requested military operation.

2.Although the strategy of the operation would not have to be revealed with the request, a legitimate reason behind the attack must be included within the request.

"I agree with my colleague from Ladvania. Espalsio believes that a compromise could be reached without partitioning the country. Look at what happened to Germany after WWII because of the partition. It was not the greatest idea after all. "It is good to see that the Ottoman government is open to international cooperation. And we are ready to trust the Ladvanian government and their peacekeeping force. Our reaction to this issue might be seen as too fast and without the necessary thought process, but we must remember the age old ethnic tensions between the Kurdish and the Turkish peoples. A massacre would destabilise the region, and have further consequences such as potential unrests in Zackaroth and Persia and mass protests in Kurdistan. Also, we need to add a huge refugee wave, escaping from the massacre. And since we are already busy extremely busy with dealing Calin refugees (especially Persia), this hypothetical wave would certainly create an international crisis. But, as we said earlier, we trust the Ladvanians. And we also remind them that any Kurdish massacre might take place will be their responsibility too, as they are making it a bit hard for the DEU states to intervene. Considering that the issue still remains uncertain, we will extend the Italian Navy's docking rights in Rhodes. In conclusion, we vote abstain for the Ladvanian proposal of the Ottoman Sovereignty."

DEU authorized intervention

1. Encourages DEU members to support the legitimate Calindelo government.
2. Authorizes the DEU Foreign Aid Council to deploy to the country in clearly marked non-combatant vehicles to give necessary supplies to civilians.
3. Allows an independent body comprised of members of non-biased countries such as NAF to oversee any DEU member's deployments after this proposal is approved in order to ensure that war crimes are not committed.
4. Should war crimes be conducted during such actions, then the offending nation may be diplomatically and economically punished by the international community.
5. Allows up to 20,000 refugees from Calindelo to be temporarily resettled to the Sixth Republic, with the option of permanent residency being an option after they have gone through the appropriate process.
6. Requires that any and all prisoners taken be treated fairly under relevant international law.
