Stacy: Greetings everyone, it is wonderful evening and we are here LIVE from Dreiichibu-i-Mousiki, Izmedu where 55th WorldVision song contest is about to start at any moment. My name is Stacy Lekker and i'm here with my very good friend, Mac ''Sharpshoota'' Lewis.
Mac: Ya know Stacy, it took me seven tries to pronounce this place's name right. Anyway yea we are here to bring this competition to your TV screens at home. WorldVision as they call it.
Stacy: (laughs) Well Sharpie, there are a lot of difficult names for places all over the world. But you will get to practice with different country names for whole evening.
Mac: True dat.
Stacy: Also, for the first time in history, Togonistan is participating aswell. Isn't that wonderful?
Mac: Oh dont be so shy. I know very well it's your lil sis there at the stage today.
Stacy: (blushes) Stop it Mac! The Opening act is about to start.

COMMENTARY:
OPENING INSTRUMENTAL:

Stacy: That was beautiful.
Mac: Yup. I liked how they mixed drums with that modern EDM stuff.

OPENING ACT:

Stacy: So far so good. The whole thing fits so well together just like a tetris.
Mac: Yea well this ain't no video game, this shift is real. An i'm tellin you that was some good shift there. And yea i say shift 'cause TNTV didn't allow me to curse tonight.
Stacy: Well that's very good, as we also got kids watching this. Now let's listen what the hosts got to say.

PERFORMANCES:

01. Kalosia
Stacy: Oh my god! That outfit is so nice! I need one like this in my wardrobe.
Mac: I ain't fashion guru, but i can say that this tune is nice. Quite catchy, but at the same time has it's own ups and downs. If you know what i mean.
Stacy: Yes, and her voice is amazing.
Mac: Well ladies and gentlemen at homes, if you want to vote for Kalosia then the number is shown on screen.
Stacy: And up next, we got Normandy and Picardy.

02. Normandy and Picardy
Stacy: That was different.
Mac: Yea. I was talking with hardcore WorldVision fan today and she said that this song is probably not going to do very well.
Stacy: We shall see. People got different tastes. This can also easily be in top five tonight.
Mac: Maybe

03. Adab
Stacy: That song was deep.
Mac: Yea. It sure has a deep message.
Stacy: I liked this performance also. He looks so stylish.
Mac: Ey Stacy, don't say that. I don't want to see whole Tushlark walking around topless tomorrow.
Stacy: (laughs) Next we have Tinhampton.

04. Tinhampton
Stacy: This is clearly the most political song in this competition.
Mac: Yea.
Stacy: What do you think, will this help them win or is the result rather opposite?
Mac: I'm a musician, not politician. Oh wow, that actually rhymed. Anyway let's so on.
Stacy: Next we have infamous Rick Leg from Missus X.

05. Missus X
Stacy: I wonder what time of year does Missus X have christmas? Because here it was 4 months ago.
Mac: I don't know Stacy, but that beat was sick. I want to make my own cover for this song.
Stacy: I really hope you are kidding. Rap and that kind of music?
Mac: Hey, if the beat is hot, i kill it.
Stacy: Whatever.

06. Arioslavia
Stacy: He is so hot. I think i am in love.
Mac: Go on and tell him that after the competition. I dare you.
Stacy: Oh shush, i was just saying that i like his style.
Mac: Well if you at homes liked his performance also, you know what to do. Number is on the screen, go ahead and vote.
Stacy: Yes, make sure you vote for your favorite song to help it win.

07. Ekoz
Stacy: It looks like Ekoz decided to withdraw from the competition.
Mac: That's a shame, i really liked their song.

08. Electrum Diplomatic Offices
Stacy: Now, i am not sure if this was a joke or actually serious performance.
Mac: Who gives a damn, it was entertaining. I can't remember when i laughed that much before.
Stacy: Well, she also had two famous comedians, Danny and Yang with her.
Mac: Yea, that will probably get her some extra votes from fans.

09. Gim
Stacy: First time i have ever seen such a mysterious performance.
Mac: That moment when she took off that mask... that crowd went loco.
Stacy: People love her.
Mac: Yeah, next we have another country who's name i can't pronounce.
Stacy: oh Sharpy, it's Monaeroglisseurest Pleindanguilles.

10. Monaeroglisseurest Pleindanguilles
Mac: That booty ain't even that huge.
Stacy: I don't know what kind of booties you have seen, and i honestly don't want to know.
Mac: Ey I was just saying. Guess who's next.
Stacy: Yessssss, it is Togonistan. Grace is going to sing next and i am so happy.
Mac: Hold your excitement now so we can actually listen her.

11. Togonistan
Stacy: She looks so cute in that blue dress.
Mac: Her performance was great too.
Stacy: Yes, oh i would totally vote for her if i could.
Mac: Yea, sadly you can't vote for your own country. But you can vote for Nightom, who is going to perform next.

12. Nightom
Stacy: I think i have heard that song somewhere.
Mac: Yea, she performed same song in another competition.
Stacy: Oh yeah, i think it was called World Hit Festival or something.
Mac: Yea, never heard of it.
Stacy: Same. But her performance was nice.

13. Zeganas
Stacy: That was Blackstarr from Zeganas.
Mac: I like how this guy put a simple message into song. It's simple yet nice.
Stacy: Yes, and that tune. So many different styles of music here.
Mac: It's WorldVision. Whole world has something different to offer.

14. Electrum
Stacy: The singer reminds me of some character from 80's police TV series.
Mac: Yea, but instead of catchy Miami Vice tune we got a ballade.
Stacy: Want to cover that piece of music aswell?
Mac: Nah, i'll leave that for someone else.
Stacy: Kwadai is next!

15. Kwadai
Stacy: Such a catchy tune. I want to dance.
Mac: She got that unique look don't you think?
Stacy: That outfit doesn't really fit her, she looks like a tomboy in it.
Mac: Eh, i was talking about them pearcings.
Stacy: Oh yes, that, sure.

16. Mercedini
Stacy: Another nice performance. I haven't really seen anything bad tonight i think.
Mac: Yea, everyone got their own style and flow they go with.
Stacy: Alicia seems so nice and warm, i wonder how she would be as a person.
Mac: She does have a good voice i can say.
Stacy: Yes.

17. Mister X
Stacy: Finally! Finally we also heard a multilingual song!
Mac: Yea, that was interesting.
Stacy: And just look at them, aren't they sweet?
Mac: For sure, for sure. But next we have Todlichebujoku.
Stacy: Wow, you even manged to get the name right.

18. Todlichebujoku
Stacy: Catchy!
Mac: Eeh, sounds like something you can hear in one of Tushlark's nightcore clubs every evening.
Stacy: That wasn't nightcore. More like K-Pop or so.
Mac: Yea let's just leave the definition undisclosed for now.
Stacy: Of course, who cares what the genre is called as long as it is a good song.

19. Ethane
Stacy: That was so sad.
Mac: Sad. Sad in a good way.
Stacy: It just feels so... strong.
Mac: I hear you. That is what i feel.

20. Balkvla Islands
Stacy: You know, after Ethane's performance, we needed a catchy song to cheer us up again.
Mac: That was another good song, these boys got some talent.
Stacy: And they look so cute
Mac: I wonder how old they are. 18? 19?

21. Izmedu
Stacy: This is one of few songs in this competition that isn't performed in english.
Mac: Izmeduan language sounds nice i must admit.
Stacy: With a song like this, i don't think english would have fit that well anyway.
Mac: This song has potential. It stands out.

22. Grellenbyōsha-ga
Stacy: I thought EDO had a weird performance, but now I saw this.
Mac: Yea, it doesn't happen often that you can see a horse with angel wings performing drumstep.
Stacy: Very interesting indeed, i'm not even sure what i just saw.
Mac: Incredible performance, that's what it was.

23. Britonisea
Stacy: Nice jumpy song i must say.
Mac: Perfect nightclub music.
Stacy: And that, ladies and gentlemen, was tonight's last performance.
Mac: That means only one thing, it is time to start voting soon. Make sure you vote, only that helps your favorite artist win.

#20 - Balkvla Islands
Rainbow 7 - Always Ever

Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZ1t7CwfvEc&feature=youtu.be
Image

The Balkvla Islands, a new country on the world stage, felt like the best way to promote themselves is to participate in the biggest music competition in the world: The Worldvision Song Contest. Unfortunately, their native talent pool is severely lacking. So instead, the government assembled a team of native Balkvlain songwriters to write a song and then send the finished product to any artist around the world who was willing to take it (and the performance generous fee as well paid by the government).

One group to accept the offer was a rising Korean boy group called "Rainbow 7" who songs were a mix of K-pop and Hip-hop. All the seven members were between the ages of 23 and 19 and mostly accepted it because it served as a rare opportunity to perform outside of their home country and to possibly gain more international fame as a result.

Although not native speakers, this song is performed entirely in English.

***

The stage was dark, only lit by white neon light. The seven members stood in formation as the opening sounds started. But just as the first lyric is sang, the stage slowly and gradually became brighter. The first singer dressed orange; Kim Yu, took the center position and began to rap.

I left you alone, I'm so sorry
But I want to confess, are you ready?
I was looking for you, on safari
But now I found you, we'll go steady

The stage continued to slowly get brighter as the next two singers, in red and violet, Park Jin and Jackie, took the center position as the rest began to dance in the background.

Everyime you called me, I wasn't there
But now I'm here so it ends your prayer

Now let's celebrate together and take me by the hand
For I'll always take you to a pleasure land

The song started to build up as the remaining four members took their turns singing; Marky Mark, JP, Choi Young, and Bam while the lighting turned whiter.

We can now begin our love
For we both need to be ready

Don't be afraid, do not falter
Let's stay up, up, making love

We can now begin our love
For we both need to be ready

Don't be afraid, do not falter
Let's stay up, up, making love

The bass suddenly dropped for the chorus and the stage was fully illuminated in bright white, to better showcase the group's complex dance routine.

(Always Ever) Always ever be there for you
I will never ignore you again, please calm down
Baby, I'm yours, baby I'm yours

(Always Ever) Always ever be there for you
I will never ignore you again, please calm down
Baby, I'm yours, baby I'm yours

The stage suddenly went dark as the lighting switch to that of a city at night, the background now showed a city street during a rainy night.
Image

I''ve been thinking about us for sure
About what our future is going to be
So I just wanted to reassure
You are mine and I am yours, that we can agree

The song and dance routine was similar to the first half of the song, only the members are in different position and the background was different.

Let's go, let's try it
Go and make love until dawn you'll like it

I'll grab a pen and a paper
and confess my love on a newspaper

The song began to build up again as the group continued to show off their choreography.

We can now begin our love
For we both need to be ready

Don't be afraid, do not falter
Let's stay up, up, making love

We can now begin our love
For we both need to be ready

Don't be afraid, do not falter
Let's stay up, up, making love

Once the bass dropped and the chorus began, the entire stage was illuminated bright white and the background was now completely white.

(Always Ever) Always ever be there for you
I will never ignore you again, please calm down
Baby, I'm yours, baby I'm yours

(Always Ever) Always ever be there for you
I will never ignore you again, please calm down
Baby, I'm yours, baby I'm yours

As the song went to the bridge, the background and lighting switched to an abandoned factory.
Image

Everyone except Kim Yu and Park Jin stayed motionless as the remaining two sang the bridge.

For the longest time I have been in denial
I was afraid to commit to this love
But as time went by and I passed my trail
But more I realized
(I was wrong)
So please forgive my selfishness
Baby you alone are my holiness!

The bass dropped one last time for the final run through of the chorus as the background glitched between pure white, city street and factory as if the screen was broken.

(Always Ever) Always ever be there for you
I will never ignore you again, please calm down
Baby, I'm yours, baby I'm yours

(Always Ever) Always ever be there for you
I will never ignore you again, please calm down
Baby, I'm yours, baby I'm yours

The group continued to dance and sing as the song neared its end, each of the members taking turns singing this phrase:

Always Forever, Always Ever, with you

The song then ended with the stage cast in complete darkness once again. The lights came back on so the group can wave goodbye to the crowd. "고맙습니다" or "Thank you" they would all say as the slowly shuffled out of the stage.

Electrumite Worldvision Commentary - Network ENN (Electrum National Network)

Max Hardwell: We're finally at Izmedu! It's been a long time coming, but we're here.
Sonya Portelli: Oh it's so exciting we're in the impossible to pronounce city that I'm not even going to bother saying...
Max Hardwell: It's on screen below. Good luck! Alright, time for the first song.

0. Opening
Sonya: Different, but really it's one of the better opening songs I've ever seen
Max: Indeed, and it reflects the international co-operation of the show. But is three hosts just far too much?
Sonya: Probably. They are quite loud and annoying.
Max: No more discussion about bulges please.

1. Kalosia
Max: Excellent tune and lyrics, it's what we expect from Kalosia really. I'm just scared they may actually incite an uprising in another country.
Sonya: Completely agree, but I just found it a tad repetitive.
Max: I have to commend the performance too.

2. Normandy and Picardy
Sonya: Fabulous. Cheerful.
Max: It is refreshingly modern, and it's a lot more memorable song for me.
Sonya: Impressive staging too. Perhaps this is something we can learn from, as ours are pretty average compared to this.

3. Adab
Sonya: I was going to say "Oh no" after hearing al-Salaman was going to perform yet again
Max: It's an olden day song, it's a bit slow, yes, but you just can't help dancing along. It's just great.
Sonya: He's a changed man Max, he's a changed man!
Max: We want to see more of the mellowed out al-Salaman. It peters out towards the end, but the first maybe minute or so was excellent.

4. Tinhampton
Max: Sorry Tinhampton I didn't really understand it. Maybe you could start with a basic thirty minute lesson on Tinhampton politics before we understand it.
Sonya: But that's not allowed! It has to be sung!
Max: That's the joke...
Sonya: Oh

5. Missus X
Max: But it's not Christmas!
Sonya: But there aren't any nukes!
Max: I feel like we all had a collective dream about nukes, but we've all just forgotten about it, because it didn't happen.
Sonya: We call that the Mandela Effect.

6. Arioslavia
Max: This will probably do very well tonight
Sonya: It ticks all the boxes, but is it good enough to win? We will find out.

7. Ekoz

8. Electrum Diplomatic Offices
Sonya: What a derivative work! Gertrude's copied what Brittany did years ago!
Max: But it is a very catchy song, I do want to sell my house and join her compound now.
Sonya: Max!
Max: I'm just kidding. I'm just surprised she got Danny DingDong and some random from Gim to sing for her too.

9. Gim
Sonya: A joyful, sweet song. I mean that beginning is just something you would expect from a drama.
Max: Ugh it's a bit too sweet for me.
Sonya: Not at all, but I loved it when it all came together in the end.

10. Monaeroglisseurest Pleindanguillese
Max: What a particularly awful song.
Sonya: Seriously, this is a song of mass destruction.
Max: This is a war crime against humanity.

11. Togonistan
Sonya: What a very strong, beautiful voice
Max: Yes there may be some teething problems, but that is really expected of a debut entry.
Sonya: I enjoyed this very much. One of my favourites so far.

12. Nightom
Sonya: What a strong contest this edition is!
Max: Figures. A triumphant song for sure, but apparently this song is also going to be sung in WHF.
Sonya: Didn't know about that.
Max: Anyways I found it a bit generic really. This travels into old territory.
Sonya: Biting remarks. I don't care. This one is going on my playlist.

13. Zeganas
Max: This is just not my cup of tea. That voice is annoying. We did not need that electronic interlude.
Sonya: Again, biting remarks! What's gotten into you! Anyways, yeah it was alright. I don't know what to feel about the song to be honest.
Max: It's just not very pleasant.

14. Electrum
Max: The performance and staging is quite plain, but that's probably expected for a song like this.
Sonya: Pass me the tissues Max, this one was beautiful.

15. Kwadai
Sonya: Again, what another great song.
Max: Too much synth, too much everything. It was really bleh!
Sonya: I seriously am in love with the lyrics, but it's coincidentally very similar in theme to our song! Just done in a different way.

16. Mercedini
Max: Ooh I like this one. This is just right for me. Excellent performance.
Sonya: I think you're giving it too much credit there, but I have to say, I did like the staging.
Max: Better than all we've seen so far.

17. Mister X
Max: This is kind of cheesy
Sonya: This sounds like my guilty pleasure really
Max: Can we have some translated notes please? They're talking about homosexuals in Latin!
Sonya: It's just so weird it's so great.

18. Todlichebujoku
Sonya: Oh my goodness, this was just stuffed full with innunedo
Max: Please.... stop... Sonya! This is awful!
Sonya: At least it was done with way more tact unlike other songs we've seen tonight.

19. Ethane
Max: This was beautiful. It seriously was. I loved the soft piano and the voice. Harrowing.
Sonya: You just managed to like the only boring song of this contest. Well done.
Max: Hmph.
Sonya: Kidding! I think it just took far too long to build up, it's way too long.

20. Balkvla Islands
Sonya: This is so confusing, there's like seven of them! How am I supposed to remember their names? I can only remember like three names at most.
Max: Yeah this isn't my cup of tea too. It's just too poppy and jumpy for me.

21. Izmedu
Max: It's just too much for me, sorry I'm not a huge fan of this.
Sonya: Me too. This edition, I think Izmepisma got it way off.
Max: I don't like my ethnic music with my electronic music, and then the mashing in of dance...
Sonya: At least the staging was good though.

22. Grellenbyōsha-ga
Sonya: Seriously?! A freaking pegasus!?
Max: I just love it when they use orchestra, but it's just ruined by everything else.
Sonya: This contest is rapidly turning sour, I hope you'll like the next song Max.
Max: And the voice was not something to be enjoyed either.

23. Britonisea
Max: We see the product of Britonisea's inanely complicated selection contest of Vha Mehlodhivestoile with Maddox Ajax.
Sonya: This is a great song to end the contest on.
Max: It doesn't try too hard to be out there. This is how to do dance. Well done.
Sonya: Right, time for voting. Max, get the drinks out of the cupboard please!
Max: Wait the mics still on...

21. IZMEDU
Grupa TRI-DIVA - Abas

Translation: Get Down!
Image
Left to Right: Ana, Maja, Lara
Members
Maja Krizanic – Lead Vocal, Tertiary Dancer
Ana Perin – Second Vocal, Secondary Dancer, Visual
Lara Brdar – Tertiary Vocal, Lead Dancer

It was strange at just how Izmedu was mirroring itself almost 10 editions ago, despite the much different sounds it was producing in the 50s versus the 40s. VIR, much to the country's shock, had again pulled Izmedu rather close to its second WorldVision win, losing to Normandy and Picardy's Jules Atrante is a rather close 10 point margin, adding a 4th second place and silver medal to Izmedu's growing pile of WorldVision medallions. RTI wasn't quite sure what to do with the recent outpour of success in the contest, and thus decided to resume normal operations (despite being part of the successful Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki bid, of which those in the know of the channel's financial woes knew that the bid was largely supported through RTVK and TOBUK) by opening submissions for the next edition of Izmepisma. The success of a band like VIR as well as the Izmeduan language had inspired many more artists to submit their songs, and RTI knew that they had an interesting Izmepisma in their hands as soon as submissions were closed.

Fast forward to the night of Izmepisma, and it was clear from the results as to who would be the next Izmeduan entrants. Grupa TRI-DIVA were considered quite unlike anything that Izmedu has sent before, but it was that, as well as due to an infectious dance performance, that caused the group to secure their WorldVision ticket with the rousing “Abas.” The playful atmosphere of the song caused the group to resonate strongly within Izmedu and abroad, winning a record-setting televote and decisively winning the international jury vote. It was a shock to the usual status quo in Izmepisma, but the change in mood, tempo, and atmosphere was a welcome change of pace. With full confidence behind the entry, a rousing performance in Jovenes Talentos, and as well as the WorldVision contest being taken home to Izmedu for the first time; spirits were high.

Grupa TRI-DIVA themselves were a supergroup of three Izmeduan solo singers who knew how to sing and dance in Izmedu's pop sphere. However, the three singers weren't part of the elusive A-list pop stars that continually topped the charts, with Maja, Ana, and Lara dedicating much of their early and mid-career stages to singing. All three hailed from Vodiznad, but had spent many of their lives never bumping across one another. Maja Krizanic was a bar singer with immense local fame, being renowned for distinct and rich vocal tone, and was signed to a major label for a year before having had her contract terminated due to a lack of album production. Ana Perin was a full-time model, but part-time singer whose work mostly took her to the Izmeduan seaside in which she modeled for fashion houses and magazines. Lara Brdar herself was the one arguably most entrenched in the pop world, touring with many of the Izmeduan pop stars (Katarina Zunic, Vigora Marasovic, Nebaizva etc.) as a backup dancer and in occasion, as a backup singer; as well as even a limited release extended play.

The three found each other through chance just 10 months before Izmepisma and 3 months before RTI were to open submissions. It was originally Ana and Lara that found themselves and laid the foundation of the group through a chance cross-label promotion opportunity in which Ana was at a glamour shoot for a pop star in which Lara was touring for. Both hit it off immediately, with Lara finding opportunity in Ana's singing, and Lara acting as a foil. A musical duo was quickly formed, with it being named Ana Lara, but there was a component missing in their quick recordings with each other. About a mouth into the duo's formation, the two had sent out a call looking for a lead vocalist. Maja Krizanic, herself getting tired of gigging for bars in Vodiznad, became the first (and in the grand scheme of things, only) person to accept the call. Ana and Lara were floored with Maja's skills as a vocalist as well as entranced by her tone, and despite being a bit of an awkward dancer, she was welcomed into the fold.

That was when Grupa TRI-DIVA were truly born, albeit as a nascent, unrecognizable force in the music industry and without a music label to speak of. Despite the lack of management, it was Maja that initiated the project that would eventually turn to “Abas.” Starting off with fundamentals, the trio had found that they had meshed surprisingly well vocally, despite each one of them being at different vocal resonances and levels. Maja herself turned out to be much of the genesis of the song's words, creating simple lyrics in Izmeduan as Ana and Lara took care of arranging the instruments. Throughout the song's rough development, it turned out that the song needed some dancing involved, and this was where Lara shined.

“Abas,” born out of an old Izmeduan interjection of after midnight dance-offs back in Izmedu's founding in response to the anxieties of national instability, had found fruition. Like their forebearers in the WorldVision sphere, the moment of song creation was beautiful coincidence with the opening of submissions to RTI. Despite the odds seeming stacked, with the girl group effect (the last instance of Izmedu sending a girl group resulted in a 12th place), being only recently formed, and not quite fitting the mold of the Izmeduan WorldVision entry, they sent the song to the channel regardless. Months later, they were on their way to Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki, technically on home soil. They won the right to represent their country after a hotly contested Izmepisma, but there was no fighting the result.

Grupa TRI-DIVA looked at each other, huddling one last time and sharing a relaxed laugh before heading out onto the stage.

-The Izmeduan language is a somewhat hybridized version of the Croatian language and the extinct Dalmatian language, speakers of any South Slavic language should be able to follow the song without translations to a certain extent. Izmeduan also uses a slightly different spelling format as it follows the 'Ikavian' dialect and form of the Common Slavic jat reflex. Words such as 'Svijet' in standard Croatian are 'Svit' in Izmeduan.
-In this current version of Izmeduan (not shared by our JWHF entries), the Izmeduan language has more elements borrowed from the Dalamatian language, and thus there are more romantic influences resonating within the language than before.
-Izmeduan borrows its entire alphabet from Croatian, including all of its diacritics.
-Č is pronounced with a hard 'ch,' like the word Church
-ć is pronounced with a soft 'ch,' like the word Child
-š is pronounced with an 'sh' sound, like the word Sheep
-ž is pronounced with a hard z-like 's' sound on a second syllable, like the 's' in the word Measure
-A translation is provided at the end of the entry

The stage lights in the Great Bulge descended down to the center of the stage after the end of the Izmeduan postcard, flashing briefly in the Izmeduan colors before pulsing white, a 'whoosh' overcoming the interior of the unique venue designed for Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki. The crowd cheer was rather huge considering that WorldVision had finally come to Izmedu, albeit in a very unique form with Todlichebujoku and Kalosia helping along the way. With the home crowd in a frenzy and with the acoustics of the Great Bulge causing a slight, but resonant echo, the girl group could literally feel the crowd as the seconds ticked down to the entry's start. The song began to start, the camera fading to an establishing long shot of the stage, zooming away from it slowly.

Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur

A white light began to shine from backstage, illuminating the stage slowly as the song started with the changing of the song's title and its antonym, get down and get up in Izmeduan. The chanting, which looked to come from a male voice with a hushed tone was done a ca pella. At the first two instances, the camera began to pan closer to the stage, an overhead angle which revealed the outlines Grupa TRI-DIVA surrounded by a hexagon-like formation of 6 dancers. At the third line of this enigmatic introduction, a drum beat began to add which caused the crowd to go into a frenzy and the screen to 'pulse' with the vibrations of sound. The camera only zoomed in closer, as a dim spotlight shone on Maja, with the camera angles fading from her and the dancers as she began to wordlessly vocalize, looking in bliss as the camera caught a few shots of her cupping her hands to her face, while fading to some shots of the still-looking dancers.

Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas
Abas abas abas

Maja continued to vocalize, with a resonant effect added to her headset to allow her voice to 'boom,' taking advantage of the Great Bulge's acoustics to let her tone truly shine through. The screens behind Grupa TRI-DIVA and the 6 dancers began to pulse, acting as a faux-equalizer as Maja continued to wordlessly sing with the images showing the pulses flowing through not just the screen, but as well to the crystals as well, making them shine blue and illuminating more of the stage. At the last two lines of the introduction, the backup male singer then took over in singing 'Abas,' causing the lights to darken as the pulses on the screen froze. At the end of the introduction, the camera returned back to a wide shot of the stage, becoming temporarily dark for just a moment...

A buzz-like melody roared throughout the Great Bulge, heralding the true beginning to the song. The lights flashed to the melody of the song, turning a bright purple, blue, and white all in that order before ending on a menage of all three. The camera, just like the switching lights, made cinematic fade ins and fade outs to close-ups each group member and dancer, with the members of Grupa TRI-DIVA giving off fierce looks with the microsecond that the camera allowed for each of them. After that instrumental, the music quieted only for a second but the stage (including the screens and the crystals) remained pulsing in pure purple, as the camera was now positioned on center-stage itself, motioning towards Ana in a rather cinematic zooming in as a spotlight shone on her...

La muzika

With Maja and Lara flanking Ana, the group was revealed to be wearing these black performance clothes as Ana slowly went towards to the front of the camera, creating the illusory effect that Ana would be the lead singer for the first verse. Ana performed snake-like choreography as she approached the camera, causing it to slowly descent to a dutch angle at each step she took, cupping both hands together in a lotus-like fashion before performing a swiping motion towards the camera. These movements, which were complemented by Maja and Lara behind her, were made with the rhythmic motions of the almost trip-hop like beat of the instrumentation. For the second half of the verse, Ana focused much more on leg work, being immediately flanked into a pentagon with Maja, Ana, and three other backup dancers as she made an impressive, but brief kick towards the air before collecting it with her hands. Ana's vocals almost reflected the unique time signature of the first verse, as well as the beat-heavy instrumentation. At the end of the verse, the camera zoomed in on Ana, with her doing a wink before an immediate transition to Maja.

Ne bori se, la želja tvoja tila

As Ana walked away from the camera, Maja immediately began the more meatier pre-chorus, performing semi-intense choreo where it looked like she was performing a sparring match against an invisible fighting partner. She was in strict formation with two other backup dancers behind her, as Ana and Lara began to corral the rest of the dancers together for in preparation for the chorus. Maja seemed to be commanding the dancers to come alive, with the two flanking her being timid before 'overpowering' her at the end of the pre-chorus, with them making arm motions with more vigor as Maja increased her vocal intensity. During this, the crystals and the screens continued to pulse purple, with the screens convulsing with purple that leaked onto the screen floor, which contorted to the movements of Grupa TRI-DIVA and the dancers. The camera focused mostly on intense close-up shots of Maja and her two dancers, ending on a medium shot at the end of the pre-chorus as Maja belted out 'samo ljubaur,' with the dancers frozen in a victory pose before the end of the pre-chorus involved them quickly getting out of formation.

As the camera zoomed in for a closer shot and with a brief darkening of the lights, Lara took center stage as she looked to Ana and Maja, each of them grinning inwardly to each other and nodding to the camera.

Grupa TRI-DIVA sang that chorus line all in unison, with Lara at the lead and heralding a slight beat drop which saw the screens pulse in purple, static as the crystals were now repeating the lyrics as if in a lyrics video, with the left crystals having the lyrics in Izmeduan, the right side in English. At the slight beat drop heralded the song's trademark horn-like instrumentation, but without a beat. The three women then performed snake-like choreography, smoothly moving their bodies in a slither like motion to the horn-like melody as the camera cut to quick close shots to each of them, their expressions suggestive and intense, their faces only illuminated by the deep purple palette currently overcoming the Great Bulge.

The chorus changed gears at this part, the instrumentation adding beats causing the six dancers to join in on the fray as they and Grupa TRI-DIVA now went for arm based choreography with more emphasis on hard and fast body rolls to the music. The arm movements more resembled jabs versus the soft rolls from the earlier first half of the chorus, and they all even engaged in a moment of hair choreography, with a dramatic head twist motion that saw the long, flowing hairs of Grupa TRI-DIVA's members to flip rather dramatically at one intense. The Great Bulge's lights also matched the intensity of the choreography and instrumentation, with the lights flashing purple and white as frenetic soundwaves coursed through the beats, which was caught by the intricate camera work casting both long, medium, and close shots where necessary.

Vrime se abas!

With a sudden pause in the choreography, with the lights going dark as the camera focused on a close shot of the trio in a straight line formation as they sang the chorus closer in unison, followed by a quick instrumental that heralded the transition to the next verse.

Sentire to
El ritama
Bez bojazan, neka to kontrolira te
Imaš gaudar
Izgledaš sois
Ne fermeru
I nastaviš plesati

For this second verse, the camera dynamically zoomed back slightly as Maja acted as the lead, holding back her vocals slightly to allow herself the maximum ability of movement for the choreography she was performing. She mostly beckoned the dancers, of which there were three of the six supporting her, to dance alongside her as she focused her most intense movements in hand and arm movements. Midway through the verse, she did a 'fake out' hand motion that the camera caught with a dual close shot and fade out effect, causing the dancers to do freestyle until the verse ended. The instrumentation retained its heavy beat as the lights pulsed purple, with the screens on the floor and on the back now a cacophony of soundwaves that contorted to every dancers' movements.

Acting as a reverse of the first verse and chorus, it was Ana that took control of the pre-chorus. With Lara and Maja in support, Ana was leading the entire troupe as the camera took on a slowly arcing bird's eye view, showing the floor screen pulse with renewed intensity as Ana delivered a more marching-like choreography, with the six dancers surrounding her in a vertical straight line that was reflected with the soundwaves on the floor screen dynamically contorting its waves to fit, with errant lines represent each dancer's movements. Near the end of the pre-chorus, Ana ordered the breaking of formation, and then commanded all 6 dancers to instantly kneel as the song transitioned immediately to its chorus as the camera returned back to a medium shot of the reformed group.

Abas!
Vrime se alzur!

Grupa TRI-DIVA sang the chorus in unison with Lara leading the dance section, with the instrumental remaining consistently beat heavy as the trademark horns returned back to the song. The lights flashed both purple and white as the trio and the six dancers surrounding them performed intricate choreography mirroring their arm movements from the first time they did the chorus. However, the six dancers had a bigger role to play, with two of them positioned diagonally on opposite sides inbetween the second and third lines, running towards the group and performing a backflip, with all three members ducking down at the right moment as they were in vocal rest, before singing 'Alzur.' The camera maintained mostly diagonal views for the chorus, tipping and switching through various views. As the chorus ended, the focus switched on the background dancers.

Ne gledaj iza
Jamo plesamo
O nikad stati
Vrime se abas

Grupa TRI-DIVA, all in perfect sync, side-stepped away as the male vocal (who was revealed to be of the background dancers) that hushed the song's introductry lines could be seen leading the dance troupe that supported Grupa TRI-DIVA up till now. Starting with a close shot of the background dancer who was singing, the camera slowly zoomed out before freezing at a medium shot. With the three leading women in darkness, the troupe mostly performed choreography that evoked swagger, crossing their arms and arching their back slightly as the song changed into an almost smooth, yet still intense tempo. The lights went white at the change of tempo, flashing purple as the background singer sang his lines. At the third and fourth lines, the background dancers all went into a triangle formation on the left side of the stage, as Grupa TRI-DIVA made their way towards the opposite side.

As the 'bridge' ended, the camera made cinematic shots between the lead background dancer and Grupa TRI-DIVA, whose faces were brimming with determination.

Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur

The male background singer and Lara walked closer to each other as background singers backstage were now singing the above lines. The male singer looked ready to challenge Lara as the lead dancer of Grupa TRI-DIVA walked closer with crossed arms and a fierce expression. At the second line, she made a motion to challenge their supporting dance troupe to a dance-off, which coincided with the increasing pace of the beat. The background dancers were more than happy to oblige as the camera ended with a long shot of Grupa TRI-DIVA and their background dancers getting into formation once more.

Ne odolje
El osjećaj
Ne bori se, la želja tvoja tila
Crepuremo
Uzeš prilika
Viš tvoj život bez kajanja, samo ljubaur

It was a near-frenzy on the Great Bulge's stage as the song was launched into its pre-chorus, with Maja leading the vocal despite performing some intense choreography. The camera maintained its slight bird's eye view, occasionally delving into some tilt shots and close ups, especially focusing on Lara and the male background dancer squaring off into some choreography against each other, with Lara dancing for one line, and the male singer dancing on another, while they were surrounded with the background dancers continuing an arm-based routine. Despite the chaos, it still managed to look tight and controlled. At the end of the pre-chorus, Maja approached the center of the stage and put a stop to the proceedings with a well-executed belt, almost causing a false ending with the lights darkening...

Vrime se abas
Abas!

With a rousing start to the final chorus of the song, Grupa TRI-DIVA and their dancers were now in unison, repeating their earlier choreography one last time with the three women front and center. All aspects of the stage were now in unison with them, the crystals pulsing a bright purple as the sound waves on the screen were more numerous than before.

Vrime se alzur!
(Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur)

(Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur)
Vrime se abas!
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur
Abas abas abas i alzur alzur alzur

Vrime se abas!

The group continued their choreography as they finished off the chorus, with the background singers adding in the song's introductory lines to the parting refrain of the song. The background dancers, as the chorus progressed, would begin to return back to their hexagonal formation, as Grupa TRI-DIVA began to dance their way backwards towards the position they started off with. As the instrumentation saw its beats removed and the lights darken to only just a purple resonating from the backlights, the camera faded from its frenetic shot to a much more stable medium shot of the group. Slowly transitioning to a closer shot as the music closed. As soon as the camera got close, Grupa TRI-DIVA sang their last line in unison, the lights instantly darkened, and that was the last note from the entry.

A massive cheer from the home crowd ensued, causing the girls to huddle together one last time as they soaked it in.

"Hvala lipa Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki!" they all said, their voices blending in with one another, their spirits high.

After a minute of soaking the reaction in, they walked backstage.

Get down, down, down, and get up, up, up
Get down, down, down, and get up, up, up
Get down, down, down, and get up, up, up
Get down, down, down, and get up, up, up

Tides of Time

Ensio Aasili is Grellenbyōsha-ga's most popular pegasus singer, his very forward and almost aggressive musical and performing style winning him the adoration of fans from the city-state to Tödlichebujoku and beyond. Some would call him an ass, but simple asses don't have wings like Ensio.

Ensio gracefully glides down over the audience to the central projecting platform as the orchestral music starts, then proudly shakes his mane and turns around to face them. At first he is lit from behind by a brilliant spotlight, but is lit more normally as he begins to sing with bravado
Your life's only so long
Only got so much to say

Your bodies can't go on
So pick which demons you slay

He struts down the platform, then suddenly turns his head to stare back to the audience.
Committing your last wrong
The angels started singing today

He turns back to walking to the main stage, fully turning around to face the audience when he makes it there
Becoming insane
While fighting to stay
The tides of time will wash you away

Ensio leaps into the air as the spotlight go out and strobes fill the air, lighting him from behind and all around. He circles the audience
All these years you tried to cheat fate

You know the tides of time will wash you away

He lands back on the stage, with the strobes directed at the stage beneath his hooves. Ensio then strides down a side platform, regal as can be
I can't keep your ending at bay
Becoming insane
While fighting to stay
The tides of time will wash you away

Time, it flows
Going to a different place

Search for escape
You know it's too late
The tides of time will wash you away

With the lull, Ensio poses magnificently, soft lighting highlighting his velvety, iridescent coat. He's almost preening at this point, before returning his attention to the audience as he continues to sing. Partway through, he rears his head for a bit, then lowers and shakes it regretfully
I'm only just so strong
You live and then you repay

Singing your last song
Immortality is too far away

He turns around and struts away,as fog begins to cover the stage floor
You're locked to your fate
Death will not wait
The tides of time will wash you away

Sparks shoot out from the stage as the strobes return, cutting through the spreading smoke and fog, as Ensio lifts himself up into the air and does a backflip in midair, then lands, strutting and posing dramatically
Your love being tempered by hate

So now the tides of time will wash you away

I can't keep your ending at bay
You're locked to your fate
Death will not wait
The tides of time will wash you away

Time, it flows
Going to a different place

Ensio stretches and flares his wings out at the end of the main platform, where he first landed. He gazes threateningly at the camera and audience
Search for escape
You know it's too late
The tides of time will wash you away

The lights flicker out and darkness envelops Ensio

The lights return to normal, revealing Ensio in a much more informal posture, smiling. "Kiitos keikari, rakastan teitá kaikkia," he drawls, adding, "Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki odella on apila, kaverit," before clopping off the stage with swagger.

Britonisea | Mehkl Maddox Ajax "I'll Be There"

Postby Britonisea » Mon Apr 17, 2017 11:55 am

#23 BRITONISEA
Mehkl Maddox Ajax - "I'll Be There"
Tune : Marco Mengoni - "Io Ti Aspetto (AlexB Remix)"
Music: M. Maddox-Ajax, A. Brighton , Lyrics: K. Whithers

Britonisea; home to the likes of Mini Surrey North, Justs Prazeres and Mya Richardson, had announced for the 21st time that they will be participating in the WorldVision Song Contest. However, they announced that they will be participating in the WorldVision Song Contest 55 - before the results of WorldVision 54. Why was that? Well, to pick this edition's finalist, we went to the help of Vha Mehlodhivestoile - an annual television show in Britonisea. The BVC (Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin) had announced that it will relaunch Vha Mehkodhivestoile as one of its flagship broadcasts. For just under a month, the twenty four participants of this edition's Vha Mehlodhivestoile was announced; including participants from Estogium, Normandy and Picardy, Mercedini, hosts Izmedu and Todlichebujoku. While all but one of the mentioned nations had a part in the final, it was a Britonish man who took the trophy alongside him to Dreiichibu-u-Mousiki.

Oh, look! It's his name in a lovely font!

Representing Britonisea in the WorldVision Song Contest this time around is Mehkl Maddox-Ajax, with his song, “I'll Be There.” Mehkl Maddox-Ajax is very well known, not only in Britonisea, but across the WorldVision community. Mehkl Maddox-Ajax was to represent Britonisea in WorldVision 51, with his song, “The Broken Fortune,” after performing it on the Kyvian World Hit Festival 27. He thought that the performance didn't go as well as he had wanted it to go, which led him to pull out from participating in WorldVision. Rigas Jengiz then went on to represent Britonisea at that competition, giving the nation it's third best placing. However, BVC didn't disclude him from being involved with the competition. They thought that as Mehkl Maddox-Ajax was still in Kyvivre (after the World Hit) and obviously felt bad about pulling out the WorldVision, he did get a chance to host the WorldVision Song Contest 51 - which was also held in Kyvivre. During the opening act of WorldVision 51, he did get a chance to sing his World Hit Song, “The Broken Fortune.”

Mehkl Maddox-Ajax is a 26 year old male, who made successful on the Britonish show, "Mehlodhifehstivalhen" as he won the both the televotes and the public votes ahead of acts like Deacon O'Foier and Braden Hillen. Mehkl Maddox-Ajax came in to the contest, "Mehlodhifehstivalhen" as an unknown artist. No one new him in the music industry, but he was a singer who is slowly rising up the ranks. Mehkl won Mehlodhifehstivalhen and went on to represent Britonisea in the World Hit Festival, as mentioned above. Ever since then, he has blown up in Britonisea - being signed to Nyx Records - one of the biggest in Britonisea who heavily invest in Britonish acts, he has hosted the WorldVision before and also, he has yet again won the nation's hearts through his more uptempo song, "I'll Be There."

"I wanted to create something that was fun, but had a powerful message!"

-Mehkl Maddox-Ajax

When growing up, Mehkl had a quite quiet upbringing in Tonesk. He enjoyed music and would usually perform at his school's concerts. Other than that, he was more focused on more academic subjects like Maths and English, and he did exceed at both of them. He said that those were two things that he enjoyed and he knew he was good at - he didn't yet understand nor know about his music talent, despite him playing at his school concerts. Mehkl Maddox-Ajax was recommended to start investing time in to his music when he was fifteen, and ever since that point - music is his passion. He started going bigger, and though it took him a long time, he finally conjured the courage to apply for a bigger national competition like Mehlodhifehstivalhen, and later Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2017.

Speaking about the song, "I'll Be There," it was a song that he made himself in his studio at his house in Tonesk. Although he came up with this lovely sound track, despite English being something that he excelled at, his lyrics were pretty bad and he thought that they need some much needed refining. He then went to Nyx Records, who had signed him up after recognising his talent, and asked whether he could have access to a songwriter, and that is how Kieran Whithers came in to play. Kieran is an Estogian songwriter who has written WorldVision Songs, as well as writing Vha Mehlodhivestoile songs. This song, sung by Mehkl, was the only song that got through to the finals that he has had a say in. And it was very successful, it seems.

After recommended to sign up to take part in one of the biggest National Finals in the WorldVision and World Hit communities, Mehkl Maddox-Ajax had agreed to it. All of the participants were announced day-by-day during the months of January and February, and Mehkl Maddox-Ajax was announced 11th. As they were announced Semi Final order-wise, you could tell that Mehkl were to perform 3rd in the Second Semi Final, after Mello Cinde, and before Ficeras (who was disqualified for Kelsey Banques.) Mello Cinde had participated in last year’s final - and was hoping to get closer to glory this year. It was mentioned across social media, that Mehkl’s Semi Final was the most difficult to get through, as it had Mello Cinde (who was quite popular in Britonisea), SISI and Rhythm DMZ, who had both previously represented separate countries - with SISI being once apart of the Serpentents, Mya Richardson (our first winner), and also, Jayden Boise (who represented us in a previous World Hit Festival.)

Mehkl and his rivals were to perform in Quickenden, in the same arena which hosted Worldvision 41. The Meggatude Indoor Arena, during Vha Mehlodhivestoile, held 27,000 people - all of the seats were sold out and sat on. After the acts had all sung, and both the Public and Jury votes were locked in - there was the matter of announcing who had went through. After waiting, he was announced second to go straight through to the final - after Mello Cinde, and before SISI and Rhythm DMZ. We would later find out that Mehkl Maddox-Ajax had won that Semi Final; with the juries he came second (with only 3 points gap), and with the Britonish Televoters, he came 1st with just over a 1.5% lead over the second placed Mello Cinde. Out of all of the Semi Finals, this was the largest lead between first and second placed… He is also the act to have won the largest percentage, too (17%).

Image
The official graphics of his song during Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2017. He performed tenth.

During the finals, he was announced to perform tenth out of eleven - performing after Etela Tomac (who was saved by the Britonish public in the Battle Stages), and performing before J3 - who won the Britonish televote in semi final 3. Although he did not know it, he was in between two very difficult components. After he performed in the Grand final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile, he was said to feel very relieved but he also felt very confident that he would leave the grand final happy. After the interval act, it was time for the voting to start. The three phase bonanza took inspiration from both the WorldVision and the World Hit. It took the voting-system from WorldVision Song Contest. All the nations had to give their top 10 favourites, and the points would be added together before being added as a percentage. The vote-announcement was inspiration taken from the World Hit Festival by putting it in to phases instead announcing it all in one like last edition. After the first phase, things did not look great for him. The points from Phase One gave him a 14 point gap between him and the leader at the time, Dean Boyst. Notable acts like Mello Cinde and Etela Tomac was in his way on his road to victory. The first phase were the votes from the televotes of international countries plus the Britonish jury. Next, it was Phase Two. In the second phase, it was the international juries to announce their winner. As you can see here, Mehkl Maddox wins the second phase, and therefore, he was the international juries favourite to go to the WorldVision Song Contest. Despite this, a lot of points were also given to Etela Tomac and Dean Boyst, and they still stood in the way of Mehkl being given the chance to go to the WorldVision Song Contest. People grew more concerned, and it was seen that Dean was going to win, usually because Britonisea's televote usually disagrees with the international juries. To succeed in Phase three and win the contest, he would need to gain a score six points larger than whatever Dean Boyst gains, and also three points larger than whatever Etela Tomac gains.

"Anything could happen during Vha Mehlodhivestoile, and that's what makes it good..."

-Mehkl Maddox-Ajax

In Phase Three, Mehkl was announced to have the most points from the Britonish televote, but it was about how many points he could gain. The lowest amount of points that Mehkl Maddox could receive is 28 points (we knew this due the points being given out in order in who received the least points to the most.) If Mehkl received 28 points, that would cause him to be in a three-way tie with Etela Tomac and Dean Boyst. However, the extra smart lot would've known that by now, Mehkl already won the competition. This is because, even if they did draw a tie, the one with the highest Britonish televotes (Mehkl) would go on to win the competition. So for them, it was "by how much would he win by?" It was then announced that Mehkl won the Britonish televotes by 5 points, gaining a total of 33 points. 33 points was more than enough to win the contest with a very clear lead. Interestingly, under the old system, he would have won with an even larger gap. Gaining the trust from both the Britonish public and the jury votes made him feel good inside, and also, prepared him for whatever is to come in the WorldVision Song Contest.

On arrival to Izmedu, he revamped his song with the help of Alex Brighton, who is a fairly famous remix artist in Britonisea. With his expertise, Mehkl managed to add a section at the start and the end of the song which would help convey his message.

In this performance, Mehkl Maddox-Ajax was wearing something similar to this (without the glasses and without the hat.) However, to sum up what he is wearing, it consists of; extra-white trainers, baby blue jeans (with some rips near the knee), a white t-shirt and also a black leather jacket to compliment. This song very much explored what the streets of Britonisea looks like today, and whilst we think we are all in fashion, that is for you to judge.

0:00 - At the start of the song it sounded like a big wave. So, as the Britonish thought that this is what it sounded like, they decided to create that on the LED screens behind. As the stage was given to Mehkl Maddox-Ajax, a blue wave movement on the LED screens happened. The camera watched intently at the sight from the front of the stage - providing those who are watching at home, and those who are watching on the big-screen to see exactly what was happening on the stage. In the middle of the stage stood a tall coat peg. Mehkl Maddox-Ajax remained at the back of the stage ready for his time to come on and make his first televised appearance since the World Hit Festival in Kyvivre.

0:06 - As the sounds of the waves seemed to multiply, Mehkl Maddox-Ajax's outline seem to appear in the LED in front of a busy street (shown in the picture of Mehkl's clothes above) - and before you noticed clearly, he was on the stage. Suddenly at six seconds, the stage flooded with people - all dressed in uniform going about their daily lives. The stage floor was of a road in Britonisea. The camera was still at the front, but it slowly moved backwards so that you could see the whole stage. The lighting in the stage flashed on and off.

0:21 - At twenty one seconds, Mehkl Maddox started to move forward from the back of the stage. Eventhough people were moving around him, he kept on walking straight - and no one seemed to hit in to him. The camera moved higher to see what was happening on the floor. The stage floor lit up yellow, and that was the path that he was walking down. What seemed like day in the LED's behind slowly turned in to night and the day's demise marked the birth of nightlife in this performance. And as we know, a lot of things happen at night. As he reached the end of the path, he put his leather coat on the long peg and before he started singing at 0:30, one of the bustling people wheeled the peg off the stage. As the song got older, the amount of people disappeared and left him to be the only one on the stage.

0:30; Mehkl begins to sing;
After twilight, after the sun hides across the horizon,
We’re left in the dark.
We’re left behind.
I’ve been deceived by the goodness of the light.
But, I can see sparkles in your eye
I can see hope; luck that’ll never die.
Your mind shines.
You can guide us down the promenade as we are blinded.

During the above verse, he managed to move from where he was on the stage, and walked to the middle outing which stuck in to the audience area. The music started to lose its remix feel and started to revert back to how the song was performed during the national selection, Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2017. As he finishes singing the verse, and had stopped walking, he then looked up at a camera which was on top of him, and slowly moving backwards in to the roof of the arena. A bright yellow light then eclipsed what the viewers at home could see before another camera came from the front of the stage...

Look in the sky, strewed with the stars.
A clear reflection of what’s in your heart.
Put one foot forward, start walking,
Dancing into the unknown.

A high-pitched sound effect joined the music, making the texture sound much fuller. The camera that came face-on approached him and then went past him before doing a circle around him and going backwards in to the audience. The yellow lights remained prominent, though other colours started to appear- sea blue and orange was also seen.

During the transition from the afromentioned verse to the chorus below, there was quite a lengthy instrumental. During this instrumental, the team behind the entry didn't want this to be awkward nor lacklustre nor dull. So, while this part of the song was being played, Mehkl Maddox-Ajax started to dance around; high-fiving the audience members all around the stage. Strong blue and yellow lights shone throughout this section - creating an exciting, yet easy-on-the-eye scene to look at. The first chorus was about to start, which would quickly dissolve in to the verses again.

And though you may turn you back, I’ll be there.
I’ll pick you up when you’re down, I’m your keeper.
Clench your fists; put the fear in the palms of your hands.
Don't be scared!

Whilst singing the song, Mehkl Maddox-Ajax made sure to remember his intonation, and by doing this, he would harshly pronounce his consonants, especially the plosive ones, such as “be” and the “palms” while also extending this vowel sounds. The chorus of the song was very similar to the other choruses, and so, to make the audience at home and in the arena know the differences between the choruses; the staging here was quite basic as the lights flashed on and off creating an array of patterns on the flooring of the stage as well as on the people in the audience themselves. To capture this moment, a camera came from the far back of the stage - at the highest point and caved down over the audience. The audience looked happy, waving their Britonish flags and raising their arms high in the air at this fresh-summer track.

Widen your smile;
You look as though you’re walking into a black hole,
Let truths be told...
Open up your heart,
As your body is tense with memories of the past deep in your soul.

An on-purpose shaky camera came from off the front of the audience and met Mehkl Maddox-Ajax who was standing on the left (on his side) outing in to the audience. The lights which were there once had now faded away, and all that was left was him on the stage under a white spotlight. As he spoke during that last verse, he was singing so ever meticulously, making sure that his questions were clear. Another camera came from the other side of the stage and by then, Mehkl Maddox-Ajax decided to move around on the stage.

Between these two verses, and during the second verse. He turned around and walked back to the main centre of the stage. The steady camera, who is the person holding the camera which meets the participants on the stage, came on the stage and was in front of Mehkl Maddox-Ajax and as he started walked back, the cameraman was walking backwards, watching where he was going. Mehkl Maddox-Ajax watched deeply in to the camera as well. He thought that interaction with his audience, whether it was on a television screen or the people in the arena, was very important and essential.

Why don’t you tell me your thoughts?
You know I’d never turn my back on you.
No matter how far you decide to go,
I will always follow.

Unlike the other verse, this verse did not have a long introduction to build up to the chorus. Instead, this verse was only two bars before the chorus came in. Somehow, the Britonish Delegation had to make this chorus different to the other one. As the two bars began before the chorus started to play, dancers from Britonisea came on the stage. There were about eight of them and they were all wearing white t-shirts alongside blue jean trousers - a popular style back in Britonisea. They came on and they started dancing as though they were in the club. Mehkl Maddox-Ajax was dancing along with them, but would occasionally turn round to look at the camera. The lights, in the best explanation possible, was similar to that of lights in a party. Flashing of all the colours you would associate with a party. A really good feeling was felt throughout the arena which caused the audience to sing along with Mehkl. It was finally his time to make sure that his audience had fun.

And though you may turn your back, I’ll be there.
I’ll pick you up when you’re down, I’m your healer.
Come back to me when I am needed, I'll Be There (Be There)
And though you may turn you back, I’ll be there.
I’ll pick you up when you’re down, I’m your keeper.
Clench your fists; put your fear in the palms of your hands.
Ooh-ohh!

After what seemed like a long chorus, the microphones on the backing singers - who were backstage - had turned up to make sure that during the bridge section which is about to come up, an echo effect could be created successfully. The lights turned from a party in to pink and red, and a camera came from behind him and span around him on a pivot. Whilst he looked around at the audience, who were all swaying along to the music but had to stop as the music broke down, the camera focused on his face. The chorus was about to finish and the bridge was about to start and he stood in the middle, as the backing dancers who came out quite recently stood next to him but in an arrow shape, so they were also behind him.

Breaking down the barrier which separates us,
It's invisible, but it's still there.
Out of sight, out of mind; isn't right, no. (No)
I need to find that comfort in you.

During this section, as he stood up in the middle of the stage, a red light appeared on his left hand side of his top, near where his heart is located. This was also so on all of the backing dancers. As he continued to sing the bridge, “It's invisible, it's still there,” he put his hand where the dot on his heat was and the red dot travelled it's way up his arm and downwards in to the trunk/torso of his body. This was also like this for all of the dancers behind him.

Once he had sung the last line of the bridge, the red covered his body, but as the instrumentals clicked in, at each time it did, it changed to a different colour. From red to green, blue then orange before all the colour was dispersed from the dancers and his top in to the staging behind him. At this moment, they all zoomed forward towards the audience. A camera, at fast pace, came from the far corner - to the front of the stage - and then moved backward to the other side as another one met him front on.

And though you may turn you back, I’ll be there.
I’ll pick you up when you’re down, I’m your healer.
Come back to me when I am needed, I'll Be There
And though you may turn you back, I’ll be there.
I’ll pick you up when you’re down, I’m your keeper.
Clench your fists; put your fear in the palms of your hands.

The camera turned around back on him as he was about to sing the last bit of the song. The dancers had disappeared and as the dancers disappeared and the scenery started to change again, he finished the song.

I’ll pick you up when you’re down, I’m your keeper.
Clench your fists; put your fear in the palms of your hands.
Turn your back on me, I’ll still be there.
I’ll be there...

The same thing happened as the beginning, but this time, everything happened almost backwards. Mehkl Maddox-Ajax took his coat from the peg and walked off the stage as the stage dimmed away at the end of the performance. As the audience started to cheer loudly, he shouted through his microphone, "Thank you everyone! Thank-you!"

Placeholder for Interval Act and Hosts' Intervention

"The first interval act of the night comes from Saviera, a country that you may know participated in the 20s, and made their last appearance in the 40th contest. They will start anew, returning the next time around, but first they must cleanse and purify themselves of their past sins. All of the country's ex-participants are on the stage now, let's give it up for the Savieran All Stars!"

Time To Say Goodbye, By Savieran All Stars
To The Tune Of Sama By Justyna

Savieran All Stars is a Supergroup consisting of All Savieran Worldvision Entrants Ever. All of Them enter the Stage One by One.

Time to say goodbye
To the symphony that always sounds alright
Silently awaiting
I’m going to the moon
Enslaving you and all the world was our plan
It’s time to say goodbye

Time to say goodbye
To the tijas who only can say Havro
And the Tija Goddess
We’re silently awaiting
And you can visit Kiribati meanwhile
Close your eyes, maybe take a nap
I don’t wanna shit any bricks
Twerk for bills
Say goodbye to Sa~vie~ra~

Now we are summoning our founder so we can
Depart soon, depart soon, depa~rt soon

Everyone forms a Circle and holds Hands. A Pentagram forms in the Middle of the Stage, and Everyone starts chanting.

We say yeewitklr your thisospanicf babayh
Summoning

We say yeewitklr your thisospanicf babayh
Summoning

Call Saya Angmama, summoning, summoning
Summoning him, summoning

TsuNaomi lets out a very long Scream.

Call Saya Angmama, summoning, summoning
Summoning him

The Ghost of Saya Angmama, the Founding Father of Saviera, appears. The Song ends. Everyone says "Thank You!!! And Goodbye!!!" and then Saya Angmama leads Everyone off the Stage.

THE AWARDING OF POINTS - TINHAMPTON - 100% JURY*
*Composed of: Lydia Anderson, Mayor of Tinhampton. Evan Georgeson, head of the Tinhampton Broadcasting Corporation. Alexandra Svensson, reformer of the political system at Tinhampton University. Ian Jones, Tinhampton City FC accountant and national football team player-manager. Peter, some bloke we recruited in the pub.

Tinhampton, Tinhampton
It was the 17th of April, 2017 - 8:32pm. Tinhampton had gone through the pomp, circumstance and outright crazyness of history's 55th (and their 1st) WorldVision Song Contest. And now, they were up first to vote. The jury had decided, and they had decided *A LOT* of strange things. To come up was Evan Georgeson. Also to come up was something that would set the pace.

Evan Georgeson: HA-HEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!! I am quite darn pleased to be able to present to each and every one of you the votes that will set the pace for the hour-and-15-minutes or so to come! If you don't want me to announce quite yet, here's how we worked: Each of our six jury members chose our 10 favourites to make the final list (of course), and also three Honourable Mentions in case of list conflict, etc. Some choices were motivated by various beliefs, but all in all wound up as "unbiased". These votes represent nobody's opinions, only our collective ones. The overall 10 favourites were then combined and mangled together to produce our final list. Here it comes up now:
1pt: Missus X
2pt: Mercedini
3pt: Zeganas
4pt: Todlichebujoku
5pt: the Electrum Diplomatic Offices
6pt: Ethane
7pt: Nightom

EG: And I'd like to reveal to you the rest of our votes. Our eight points go to...
Kwadai!

Our ten points go to...
Gim!

And finally, our twelve points go to...
Eeeeeeeeeelectrum!
For OOC clarification purposes, the 12 points are being given to Electrum.

Well, that's all from me. Now it's down to the remaining 20-odd of you!

OOCly, the Balkvia Islands voted first (Tinhampton originally did, but we made a new post to avoid confusion with us placing our votes before the interval act). ICly, Tinhampton voted first.

Britonisea Votes

"Dobra vecer Između!" *Huge applause in the arena causing her to smile and giggle a bit. A camera shot was turned to face the audience who went balistic for the Izmeduan star* This is Lyvivre, Brityunik, calling. This is the very city I fought to be in Vha Mehlodhivestoile Final, and I was successful. Hopefully me being here tonight brings luck for both Mehkl Maddox Ajax, a close friend of mine now, and the Izmeduan act, Grupa TRI-DIVA!"

"Right, without futher ado, here are the first seven points from the Britonish Jury and the televote."

*Audience cheers loudly, especially as Izmedu has received 6 points from the country.*

*Etela Tomac smiles in to the camera as the host quietens the audience.* "I am just about to announce who has received eight points from the Britonish vote!

And the nation to receive the eight points from Britonisea is....MERCEDINI!" Applauds for Mercedini who moves up the scoreboard.

"And Britonisea's ten points go to...TOGONISTAN! A real special song from Togonistan!"
