OVERVIEW

Overlooking the largest metropolis in Atlas, and overlooked by the third-tallest mountain in the Free Union, Mont Chagrin Academy's history is one shrouded in mystery. It is generally agreed that the hallowed school was founded in 1128 - predating the very concept of Acronius, although MCA has since gone through numerous restructures and expansions. Choosing to isolate itself from the rest of the world, the school's surroundings have strangely enough been the host of eighteen major battles in history, from the Aegran-Montfortian Wars to Great War II. It has consistently ranked within the best post-secondary establishments in Acronius since the 19th century, but was inconveniently quarantined from any form of civilization for thousands of kilometers, affecting its attendance. This changed in 1999, when, after forty years of construction, the sprawling streets of Defense were opened to the public, breaking Mont Chagrin's isolation from the world. Attendance requests, especially foreign, skyrocketed since, and Mont Chagrin Academy developed a status as a first-rate university, accepting students of at least 16 year olds from any documented nation.

The Free Union of Acronius is a highly-developed first-world nation in western Vaaldhaven. Mainly French culturally, albeit with a substantial English minority, French and English are the nation's official languages, and as such, are the languages of instruction at Mont-Chagrin Academy, save for language-specific courses. Acronian Francs are the national currency, with a 1.01 exchange rate to the Universal Standard Dollar. Defense, the closest city, is a sprawling metropolis of 35 million people, and the largest city in Atlas in terms of population. It lies directly south of the Academy, and is easily accessible via the Defense Metropolitan Underground Train system (abbreviated to Metro) and its sub-network of Defense Skytrain, the latter of which has a station at Mont Chagrin Academy itself. The main point of entry into Defense for foreigners is Defense Metropolitan International Airport, located in the southeast of the city. The airport and the Academy are connected via the Boundary Line on Defense Skytrain, providing a direct and simple means of transportation to the institution.

Mont Chagrin Academy boasts a complete and extensive campus sprawling over 11 square kilometers of land. It hosts numerous bars, cafés, and restaurants on its grounds, as well as numerous sports facilities including football fields, tennis courts, and a multi-purpose stadium. Students will stay in spacious dorms, which may be shared with up to three fellow students.

  In all seriousness, a previously-overlooked issue may pop up during sign-ups or the RP, and I may need to address it. Anything I address or prohibit that is not currently listed in the rules will be added immediately.
• Additionally, please check the OOC thread, particularly the OP, on a regular basis. The OP in particular is still a work in progress. Rules may be added or clarified and I am not necessarily able to notify everyone each time I change the OP due to the frequency with which I do it. I may also add more helpful information, and other little goodies, such as the section for the campus map that I put in during this particular edit.
• No OOC fighting. Self-explanatory.
• Avoid super short posts. Though I understand that it's hard not to write a one-liner in a particularly dialogue-heavy scene in the RP, I highly recommend that you try to flesh out your posts, instead of trying to churn out one-liners as fast as possible.
• No sexually explicit posts. It's common for intercourse, promiscuity, stripping, or whatever else to happen in most colleges; this college is not likely to be an exception, and I won't shy away from that fact. However, I will not allow posting about sex. It may be implied or hinted at, but the scenes/'sessions' may never be directly RPed.
• Yes, you may have multiple characters. Four characters max. However, I will not allow characters being RPed by the same person to room together, and I ask that those who RP multiple characters keep their characters' interactions among themselves to a minimum.
• Expulsion is a thing. I have no issue OOCly with people doing stuff that would warrant disciplinary action by the school, but keep in mind that actions still have consequences: if I have you expelled (as I will also be RPing non-instructor school staff if need be), then you may not post in the thread anymore as that character. You may, however, still RP any other characters you have. If you only have one character, you are allowed to sign up another after the first is expelled, provided the character is differentiated enough.
• Lastly, and most importantly, remember the Triumvirate. Their jimmies are eternal. None can rustle the Triumvirate.

Her parents were careful not to pamper her as a child, and ensured she pursued highly intellectual pursuits. She consistently received straight A's throughout her schooling, before applying to the Veraglia University for a course in Journalism and Political Science.
  
  Her University career proceeded well, she became a figure as a political activist at the age of 19, writing freelance articles on the internet, and running a popular YouTube channel for several months. She was approached by Sandor Juhasz at the age of 20 and invited to become a contributor to the Truth Network, her fluency in English being highly useful for her work as a presenter for TruthSeeker English.
  
  She was accepted into an exchange Student course as part of her political science degree, which she sees as an opportunity to perfect her English and receive an outside view for a planned article about politics in Acronius.

The two settled down again in Veraglia when Român was 12 years old, Român's emotional growth was stunted due to the abuse suffered at the hands of his father and his mothers emotional unpreparedness to raise him alone. He was an average student at school, socially one of the weird kids, hanging around with an assortment of stoners, goths and other outcasts.
  
  He began to experiment with various narcotics some time during highschool, mostly just weed, and also began to gain quite a taste for alcohol, the highlight of his week being the friday night parties his friends and he would attend, smoking weed, getting drunk, and playing video games. At the end of his schooling he received lackluster grades, just barely enough to get into an English Language degree at University, from where he would hope to branch off into more useful degrees. The opportunity to travel to Acronius and spend time with native English speakers, was a very attractive option.

• Personality: Highly charismatic, and initially seems to be friendly and kind (which he is to those he likes). However, he has a very short temper, resulting in frequent outbursts of emotion, which at times get him in trouble.
• Ideology/Religion (Optional): Strongly Atheist, Clasical Liberal, and quite Nationalist in favor of Zoboyizakoplayoklot.
• Bio: Raised in a wealthy suburb of Jukil, Zobika Province, Kotyan grew up in a lavish environment where he essentially got whatever he wanted. His parents were oftenaway from the home, his father being a prison warden and his mother, a successful businesswomen. As a result, he never had a good relationship with either of them, leading to him having familial issues. Due to his parents never being around, he never saw what a healthy relationship looks like, causing him to choose opportunism over loyalty.

• Ideology/Religion (Optional): Religion wise, she is a believer in traditional Zobik folklore and it's shamanistic values. Politically, she is a Utopian Socialist. She is gradually becoming disillusioned by her religious and political views as she begins to see the world beyond the one she grew up in.
• Bio: Hailing from a small, low income potash mining town along the Songhese border in Quakilon Province, Saran has long been viewed as a diamond in the rough. Her superior intelligence and athleticism was noticed at a young age, and by the time she was 15 she was attending a top private school in Második Inima, where she was both the captain of the basketball team and the leading academic student. At times, she becomes anxious under the pressure she feels for being an elite student-athlete, leading to occasional nervous breakdowns and a large disregard for social activities.

• Personality: Ferenc is a bit of a social oddball. While he does very well academically, he lacks acceptable social skills, resulting in interactions with him being quite awkward or misunderstood. He is also a stickler for the rules, and is considered to be a bit of a goody two shoes. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Kirishiman anime and playing games on his PC.

• Bio:Born to a Grozyar mother and a Native Agualadosan father, Ferenc grew up with only his mom to raise him. Not knowing the identity of his dad, nor growing up with one, made quite a large impact on Ferenc's life. He never had a strong male role model to look up to, nor was he able to live a comfortable life, sharing a single, meager wage with his mother during his youth. He began work in a textiles factory at age 12, but by the time he was 16 the factory had closed down. Now living off of his mothers income again, his life was dealt another blow when his mom crippled her leg in a mining accident. But just as things were at their worst for Ferenc, a miracle occurred. As he was Agualados' top student in mathematics, he was given a scholarship by Zoboyizakoplayokloti billionaire Arik Zabong. With Zabong paying for his last two years if high school, Zabongs generosity has extended to paying for his mothers care fees and now Ferenc's tuition at MCA, where he plans on majoring in mathematics.

• Bio: Born in the industrial city of Crosskeys, Killian grew up playing sports in the street with the other neighborhood kids while they waited for their fathers to come home from the factories under whose shadows they lived. As he grew older, his talent level in multiple sports became readily apparent, particularly as a football striker and a hockey goaltender. While he became more and more impressive on the field, his education and studies were barely enough to scrape by; though he was smart enough to do the work, he simply couldn't be bothered.
  In 2013, at age 15, his sporting talent blossomed fully into an incredible run in both positions; as a striker, Killian led the Tennish Under-18 Football League in goals, with 41, as he took his team to a win in the Under-18 Championship match. That same year, as a goaltender, his GAA of 0.43 set the record for seasonal GAA in the Tennish Youth Hockey League (17 and under), and this, too, was enough to carry his team to a championship. His achievements made national headlines and attracted the attention of prestigious clubs from both sports, and continued to do so for his secondary school career. Upon graduating at 17, however, he was conscripted into the Tennish military, as is required of all Tennish citizens. He served his compulsory year in the Tennish Air Force as a MiG-29 ground crewman, and volunteered to stay on for another six months after.
  Upon his discharge from active service the Air Force, his parents insisted that he go to college, and while Killian wanted no parts of it, he did it on their behest. Of course, many schools offered him scholarships, but the competitiveness of the conference in which Mont Chagrin Academy played made it his #1 choice.

Despite having visited almost every civilized country in Atlas, Grace's love of Acronian culture, and the prestige of Mont Chagrin Academy's school of film, made it her favorite choice, and considering her family's wealth, she didn't really need a scholarship.

• Ideology/Religion (Optional): Russian Orthodox by religion. Largely apathetic when it comes to politics, with a slight liberal bias on certain issues.
• Bio: Born in the remote Sami town of Suojärvi within the Elesarian Empire, Siilva was raised by her father past the age of four, after her mother died of hypothermia in a particularly harsh winter. Driven to promote the longevity of his family, her father drove his only daughter to succeed in the local one-room school, seeking to move to one of the larger cities by way of Siilva's success in the classroom. At the age of 13, Siilva's high marks in school and general academic skill caught the attention of a visiting Elesarian education official, who managed to transplant her and her father to the capital, Novyy Muscovy, where she had access to better teachers to further grow intellectually. It was here that Siilva mastered her command of the Russian language (which she previously had only a rudimentary knowledge of) and where she began studying English; her father, however, was unable to support them in the city on his own; at 16, Siilva was forced to take a minimum-wage job in addition to her schooling to help cover the expense of their flat. This subsequently harmed her grades; however, she was able to maintain her position in the academic latter, enough to graduate secondary school with honors. Having saved up post-graduation, she now aims to attend the Mont Chagrin Academy to pursue a degree and ultimately a career in Botany.

Abraham was raised in a life of luxury, but was instilled with strong religious Jewish values and a desire to succeed in life. Abraham is now being sent to the Mont Chagrin academy, where he intends to major in investment banking.

• Personality: A clever and friendly boy who is traditionally a bit reserved and awkward, who, with the help of spending most of his first year in post-secondary education partying, is talkative, humorous and a wannabe casanova. He likes video games, music, watching sports (but not playing), clubbing, and generally most social activities, especially if it involves alcohol or narcotics. He prides himself on being honest.
• Ideology/Religion (Optional): Danny is kind of a liberal, mostly central or neutral politically. He is a Christian.
• Bio:Danny grew up with a stay-at-home father and a mother who worked long hours away from home. With only one source of income in the house, he was not able to be spoiled, but his mother earned enough to live in a nice home, eat nice food, and buy him a decent load of presents twice a year. He had a few friends growing up in school. Late in his high school years, his best friend slept with his sister. He did forgive his friend, eventually, but not before cleaning up his appearance and learning how to be outgoing and sociable so that he could sleep with his friend's sister. He completed his first year of university studying linguistics in the ACS, where he did achieve the highest grade in spite of low attendance, but spent most of his time with an assortment of flatmates with whom he frequently partied into the early hours of the morning with. For his second year, his university offers him the opportunity to study abroad.

She is 5'11" and could be described as athletic, as one may expect of a girl who partakes in sporting activities with some sort of regularity. That is to say, she is slim and toned, if slightly small-chested, and would be described as attractive. On nights out, she likes to wear dresses that leave little to be imagined.

Sinead had one of the most average middle-class upbringings one could imagine, displaying a sporting talent and later a passion for certain political things. The Krosnian government held a lottery for one college-age student to go abroad to "represent" Krosny, and he somehow won. Still in complete disbelief, he got a airplane ride to the capital of Krosny, where he was taken on another, longer flight to Acronius to begin college. The problem however was that he never expected to win and submitted his ballot as a joke. On the plane ride over, he suddenly decided to himself internally that Defence was probably a shithole and that he should spend no more effort than needed to succeed there. He also decided he needed to have fun by pranking other people for the lulz.
