The Celestial Empire was in for a bit of a shock today when news started to pour out from the island of Kalliste, an island off the coast of the main land. The mountainous and picturesque island of beautiful songs and unique traditions of Kalliste revealed that the Duke of Alençon, the Celestial Guardian, the Hero of Seidang, son of the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Derita and Russlande and Prince Adrian Christophe of Wied, son of the former Queen of the Netherlands and the Duke of Tecklenburg are not only dating, but engaged to be married. And the source? The Duke of Alençon and Prince of Wied themselves.

The island of Kalliste saw the Duke of Alençon arrive via his family’s personal yacht, which he famously was noted for being an excellent captain of during the annual Royal Yacht Race in Port Victoria yesterday. Onboard the yacht was the Duke of Alençon, the Prince of Wied, the Queen and King of Scots, the Duke and Duchess of Mantova, Prince Philippe of Selesburge and Lady Nikolina Marchant. The trip to the paradise like island was made impromptu following Prince Adrian’s sudden return to Derita in Vierrgues where Alexandre was having a photo shoot with the soldiers there the day before. The group quickly, at the Duke of Alençon’s suggestion sailed west to the island.

Upon arriving at the seaside town of Coti-Chiavari, the group were see whilst aboard the yacht, with many taking notice of the famous ship of the Imperial Family and several tourists catching sight of the Duke of Alençon. Following his spectacular and much praised success at the Battle of Hai Bai, his campaign through Seidang during the Seidanese War, where he slew the villainous and tyrannical President Hoàng Minh Chiến who had foolishly tried to oppose the righteous Celestial Empire and the rightful monarch of that nation, Emperor Liang I of Seidang, Alençon has become the face of the Celestial Empire, receiving titles and nicknames such as Mnyama Ipanther and the Celestial Guardian. Alençon in less than a year has become the most photographed member of the Imperial Family, outpacing even his grandfather the King-Emperor.

With this in mind, it was not a surprise that following their arrival at Coti-Chiavari on Kalliste that Alençon was quickly recognized, with several young women and men guarding the yacht in hopes of having him sign one of the many posters, pins and shirts that his face adorns. The Duke of Alençon, in his ever kind personality happily agreed to sign several items, including a person’s forehead and agreeing to take pictures and selfies with several people. One observer that was able to restrain themselves following taking a picture with the Duke, noticed that nearby was also the Queen and King of Scots and famous boxer Don Carlos and his wife the former Wueen of Zidaria, who went relatively unnoticed.

Following this promptu meet and greet, which had to be broken up due to local police concerns that the pier would collapse from the unprecedented amount of people who had come out to see the Duke of Alençon, which for this he apologized, the group went onto a tour of the city. The group of royals, instead of guards, which they definitely don’t need with both Alençon and the Duchess of Mantova or cars, simply walked through the city almost as if they were normal people. Here people briefly noticed Alençon and the Prince of Wied holding hands as they went down the main road. The group first visited the Fortress of Lacapneru which sits several hundred feet above the sea and acted as watchguard for the border hundreds of years earlier. The tower was built in around 1600 under the waning reign of Alexandre I of Derita. It was one of a series of coastal defences constructed by the Celestial Empire between 1530 and 1620 to stem the attacks by barbaric pirates from the east.

The Duke of Alençon and the Prince of Wied then, following their leaving of the Fortress of Lacapneru went to several of the local boutiques that dot the beautiful little town of Coti-Chiavari along with the Queen and King of Scots. Meanwhile the Duke and Duchess of Mantova and Prince Philippe and Lady Marchant decided to go on a hike through the picturesque forests of Coti-Chiavari and visiting two more towers, fortress that were built alongside Lacapneru, climbing to the top of Areuon Tower and Enïase Tower. At the boutiques, the Prince of Wied buying and then wearing a t-shirt that displayed a map of the island of Kalliste while King Consort André notably bought a book of songs from the natives of the island. The Duke of Alençon then bought a plush dolphin, giving it to Prince of Wied. When a passerby dared raised an eyebrow at this, Alençon proceeded to try and buy several more such gifts, which the King Consort the Prince of Wied had to physically pull him out of the store least the shop owner be left with nothing in the store.

Alençon and Wied were thirty minutes later photographed by a passerby with Alençon with his arm around Wied and Wied holding the plush dolphin. The royals then meet up at the Jean-Astante Fountain at the Roi Place in the center of the town, which proudly displays a statue of its name sake. Here they twitched couples and Alençon, Wied and the Mantovas went hunting. Do to the nature of the island of Kalliste, the Duke of Alençon was notably disappointed with the limited animals there to hunt, but eventually settled on going on a wild boar hunt, which are native to the island and notoriously dangerous. The Duke of Alençon and Duchess of Mantova however were able to corner and successful kill a 190 pound make wild boar. The two were then pictures with the animal before they skinned it and had its meat sent to be prepared and given out.

Whilst they went boar hunting the others went to a wine tasting event where they tried and greatly admired the taste of the famous Kalliste Cocktail, served by the famously beautiful Kalliot Sirens, the intentionally well breed group of women who are descendants of the ancient natives of the island, trained in sing their their secretive old native songs. They then meet up with the others once again at the fountain, where here more fans of the Duke of Alençon waiting for them to get a chance to meet him. Alençon again happily gave in to the wants of the people, this time luckily the local police did not have to break up the crowd. Alençon did towards the end ask a young woman of the name of Zoé C. To take a picture of him and Wied in front of the fountain.

That night, the Duke of Alençon was invited by Amaury Piaget, owner of the local restaurant and had served during the Seidanese War, to eat at his restaurant free of charge along with the others. To this the Queen and King of Scots refused, instead offering to pay for their and everyone else dining there that night. The group originally were going to eat together but instead decided to have their meals separately with the two married couples eating together and the others eating with their partners, with Prince Philippe and Lady Marchant eating together and The Duke of Alençon and the Prince of Wied eating together. At the orders of Lt. Piaget certain people were made to leave and kept away from the windows in order to allow for his customers to enjoy some privacy, cameras not allowed in the restaurant for that night’s duration. Following this outing the eight royals returned to the yacht were they spent the night.

This morning many residents of Coti-Chiavari were not too surprised to find people flying overhead, with hand gliding being a popular activity for the tourists to come to the island of Kalliste. They might have been shocked however to find that as the sun rose of the island of paradise island, the Duke of Alençon, Prince of Wied, Prince Philippe and Lady Marchant zipping over head. Alençon’s was easy to pick out as he flew across the island and its forests and beaches in a glider that was pitch black with a massive panther design on it. The four went almost perfectly in their flight, save when Prince Philippe had a mild malfunction and had to make an emergency landing in the water.

After the rest of them safely landed and Philippe swam back to shore, they decided to go to the beach, joining the others at the beach, where they mingled freely with other visitors on the beach. The Queen and King of Scots and the Duke and Duchess of Mantova had while the others were hang gliding gone to another local restaurant for breakfast, enjoying classic Hollande tea and coffee despite the tropic heat in classic regal fashion. Following this they decided to go visit the nature part on the other side of the island, where Queen Adelaide II and Duchess Frederica swam with the dolphins and the Duke of Normandy and Duke of Mantova went snorkeling, taking pictures of their adventures here. They then later left and went to beach to reunite with the others.

Here the royals posted several pictures of themselves enjoying the sun and the sand. When someone watching the Duke of Alençon taking a picture of the Prince of Wied while he lay on the sand noticed something shining on his finger and another on the Dutch-Atmoran prince’s , they braved themselves and walked over, before quiet asking what the rings meant. Prince Adrian began to explain the rings bashfully, his silver while Prince Alexandre’s was gold, until the Duke of Alençon wrapped his arm around him and plainly stated that they were engagement rings.

The Duke of Alençon didn’t seem to wish to give any further explanation, appearing proud in shutting them up and proud in the statement and soon shooed the passerby away before they could ask further questions. Naturally the story of their engagement has shot out, spreading across the island like wildfires and then leaping from the island of Kalliste onto the main land and burning across the Celestial Empire. This spread across social media as questions and theories. Finally, roughly a hour or so after this revelation, an announcement went out from the account of the Duke of Alençon saying, in classic Alençon bluntness and casual manner, “Getting Married. En passant.”

The announcement of the engagement only further sent people for a twist at the surprise. The most fevernt fans have shown overwhelming support towards the engagement, coining the name of Alexrian as a word for referencing the two as a couple. Meanwhile others have taken to pondering if this should be taken seriously, as the Duke of Alençon has made a reputation of answering saracastically and playing pranks on people before, though it is noted never on something like this. And a third set have taken a more silent approach, perhaps because of conservative values of either nationalism, or something else. Fontainebleau has yet to respond to the breaking story, with Crown Princess Marié Thérèsa being unable to commit on the matter due to an engagement with Princess Hélèna. Alexandria, where Adrian’s aunt Katherine II reigns over Atmora, too has yet to commit on the engagement as well.

Regardless of what may later be reported from Fontainebleau or Alexandria, it does seem that Alexandre and Adrian are indeed together and likely have been together for months quietly under all of our noses. There are of course many questions about the couple, such as if the marriage will be a political one between Derita and Atmora, what titles the two would have, and others, though the Duke of Alençon’s brother, the King Consort of Scotland has made it clear that he has no desire to see the press mob his brother and his friend over the issue. If they are happy, then this reporter says that hopefully there will be a big beautiful wedding in the near future.

Order in Council

22 September 2080 | Alexandria, Kingdom of Lieseltania, Atmora

In light of the engagement of Prince Adrian Christophe of Wied and the Duke of Alençon, Her Imperial Majesty's Privy Council convened at the Office of the Prime Minister and Privy Council building to decide what their course of action should be the President of the Privy Council commented "After hours of deliberation the Privy Council has made a decision. The Empress has decided to side with the Privy Council's advise to not give consent to Prince Adrian's engagement to the Duke of Alençon, as such if the Prince of Wied continues to marry the Duke of Alençon his marriage will be considered null and void and he will be removed from the line of succession and lose all the privileges of a Prince of Atmora and Lieseltania."

The Empress has decided she will be vetoing the future marriage between her nephew and his fiancé the Duke of Alençon, as such Adrian will be lacking the formal consent of his aunt the Empress to marry, because of this he will be considered dead to the line of succession and will lose all Imperial privileges, however he will remain in the House of Wolf, but will lose his place in the order of precedence.

The reasoning behind the Privy Council denying Adrian's future marriage to his fiancé, is because key Ministers of the Crown such as the Minister of National Defence and the Minister of Public Safety see the Duke of Alençon as a security threat to the realm and to the crown. The evidence for this is Prince Alexandre's diplomatic visit to Polonge, in where he used a member of the Polongian Imperial family to spy upon the Polongian Navy and send detailed reports to his father the Prince Regent. Along with threatening to commit regicide against the Empress of Polonge when he said “tread carefully Your Majesty. With me, you may very well lose your crown... and your head.” Jan Liezen the Minister of National Defence finds it unthinkable to allow the marriage to a man that has threatened to kill the head of state of a key Atmoran ally and a known spy for his father.

As the royal world of the Celestial Empire was left shocked by the announcement of the engagement between Prince Alexandre, Duke of Alençon and Prince Adrian Christophe of Wied, today the mother of the Duke of Alençon spoke on the matter during a lovely afternoon tea. The Queen of Naples and Sicily while a bit stone face at first, but afterwards was all smiles When asked about the announcement, this is how the Crown Princess of Derita responded:

“Well, first of all, I simply wish to express my great desire to see my son and Adrian happy. No matter what I can assure you that I shall always stand supportively behind my son and his loved ones. My son and Adrian have known one another for years and they were friends long before they fell in love, which is an important part of a long and loving marriage. I believe that you will find that they complement one another very well. Adrian is a good young lad despite his unfortunate background, an the Celestial Empire has always been at the forefront of progress. I assure you their wedding shall be one of the greatest, as one expects from us.”

The Crown Princess was then asked to comment

As for the matter of Katherine’s response to this joyous announcement, I must say, that it is a pity to see that they are so... barbaric, so backwards in their ways that, they value twisted politics over the love of two people, for that is what this marriage is about. They are so threaten by the Celestial Empire and it’s glory and power that they fear us, they fear my son. Alexandre has a great many talents, as clearly shown in Seidang, he is without a doubt the best warrior in the world. Though I t is a testament wouldn’t you say? How delicate must Atmora be if they can be utterly destroyed by my child.”

At this moment the Crown Princess took a of tea, though seems to have found the fact of Atmoran insecurity quite amusing.

“Forgive me. Honestly I must say that I feel sorry for Adrian and the such lack of support and hostility of his aunt and her ministers. To care so little for one’s own flesh and blood, to greet such joyous news with such hostility, based on such fictitious rumors. Honestly. It is down right appalling. My son went to Polonge because Amalia, sweet little thing, loved him, and he treated her with nothing but respect, he saved her life. And how does the Empress repay him? With vulgar lies and unwarranted cruelty, breaking her own daughter’s heart. Poor Adrian, abandoned by his father, sent away by Mother and it was only by the grace of the Celestial Empire that he was saved. It was here in Fontainebleau that Adrian was raised, treated like any child of good Deritains, while his relatives looked at him as if he were nothing but a name, rank and number.”

“I would happily invite Adrian’s family to the wedding, though it seems he may not have any aside from us here in the Celestial Empire, certainly none in Atmora. No real family could be so cruel to one another. This hostility is an attempt of using fear to keep Adrian at their beck and call. Something to be expected from a third rate empire, using fear and punishment to try and control their people. I don not know why one would have expected better of them. The Celestial Empire is a place of glorious love. I hope that perhaps Katherine and her ministers will see the error of their ways and give their consent in a civil way. If not... Well I am sure you’ll fine that Adrian loves Alexandre more than he fears Atmoran threats.”

Derita-Aogau Infrastructure Cooperation leading to closer ties
Image

Paga Paga hosted the Derita-Aogau Infrastructure Cooperation Seminar amid calls for enhanced ties with Fontainebleau to boost modernization of roads, ports, railways and telecommunication networks in Aogau.

The two-day meeting was organized by Deritain Embassy in Aogau, Aogaian Ministry of Transport and Masefau-based think tank, Aogau Economic Research Consortium.

Eresa Fannif, the Royal Council Member for the Ministry of Transport, said in his opening remarks that the Deritain funded Paga Paga-Masefau Standard Hyperloop (PaMaS Loop; or Pamas Loop) remained a model for cooperation with Fontainebleau to boost infrastructure development and realize socio-economic transformation.

"The PaMaS Loop project is a game changer. Its benefits are in line with the government's Big Four Agenda," Fannif remarked adding that extension of the modern railway project toward the border with Russlande will stimulate trade and industrialization along its corridor.

He hailed the launch of PaMaS Loop commuter and cargo transport services terming them a game changer in movement of people and cargo between the capital city of Masefau and the port city of Paga Paga.

Luxolo Simon, Derita’s Ambassador for Affairs of the Forum on Maia Continent Cooperation (FOMCC), and Valentin Leferve, Deritain Ambassador to Aogau, joined policy makers and scholars at the forum to discuss infrastructure development as a key pillar of Dedro-Aogaian ties.

The Derita-Aogau Infrastructure cooperation forum which focused on the Paga Paga-Masefau Standard Hyperloop project was the sixth one to be held in the continent ahead of FOMCC summit in Moskva in December.Simon said Derita is committed to supporting modern infrastructure projects like the PaMaS Loop to accelerate sustainable development in Aogau and in Maia.

"In cooperation with Aogau, Derita attaches great importance to the economic and social benefits of the projects. It advocates that large infrastructure construction and industrial development should be planned and carried out in parallel so as to make them mutually reinforcing and strengthen Aogau’s capacity for sustainable and self reliant development," Simon remarked.

Valentin Leferve, the Deritain Ambassador to Aogau, said that Aogau’ economic prosperity hinges on development of modern infrastructure projects."The economic take-off of countries, such as Aogau, cannot be realized without the elevation of infrastructure, all people can reach the Stars, but they must first rise up from the ground," Leferve remarked. "Infrastructure cooperation is one of the priorities of Derita-Aogau cooperation under the Ceinturoute Initiative," He added.

Talalelei Leniu, the Director of Aogau Economic Research Consortium, said Derita has emerged as a dependable partner in Aogau’s exponential infrastructure modernization. “No doubt that the Derita-Aogau economic cooperation is at the center of transport and physical infrastructure development," said Leniu.

She noted that Derita-funded infrastructure projects have boosted regional integration, access to markets and financial sector development.

Saturday 26 October 2080 | Vanessa, Derita

The wedding of Prince Alexandre, Duke of Alençon, and Prince Adrian Christophe of Wied took place on 26 October 2080 at the Notre Dame de Vanessa, known as the Heart of the City in Vanessa. The grooms are of Deritain and Atmoran-Dutch heritage respectfully, with Alexandre being third-in-line to the throne of Derita, and Adrian giving up his rights to the Atmoran throne in order to marry Adrian.

Image
Norte-Dame de Vanessa in Derita

Alexandre and Adrian met in 2068 as children upon Adrian’s first visit to Fontainebleau. The meet and would grow up alongside one another as friends from 2070 to 2074. They remained close friends even after Adrian left Fontainebleau, but that changed when he once again returned in 2078. Their relationship started in the latter part of that same year, and in 2079 Adrian separated friendly with his girlfriend at the time, Princess Sofia of Scots to be with Alexandre. After a stay in Atmora for a period of time, Adrian once again returned to Derita.

Their engagement on 21 September 2080 was announced on social media and caused a frenzy of responses from across the world. The build-up to the wedding and the occasion itself attracted much media attention, being compared in many ways with the 2057 marriage of Alexandre’s parents, yet in many more ways, it out paced it dramatically. Because Alexandre has actually asked Adrian to marry him in January of that year the first time, he’d planned much of the wedding before hand. The occasion was a public holiday in the Celestial Empire and the Duchy of Wied and featured many ceremonial aspects, including use of the state carriages and roles for the Royal Foot Guardsand Amperiale Household Cavalry. Events were held around the Celestial Empire to mark the wedding; organisations and hotels held events across the Celestial Empire and Russlande, with over 30,000 street parties were held throughout the Celestial Empire, Russlande and the Duchy of Wied, and eighteen million people lined the route between Norte Dame de Vanessa and the Grand Jubilant Palace. The ceremony was viewed live by hundreds of millions more around the world, including 344 million live streams on YouTube. In the Celestial Empire of Derita, television audiences peaked at 917.3 million viewers, with a total of 971.2 million watching part of the coverage.

The route of the Prince of Wied and his party to the ceremony went between the Grand Jubilant Palace and Norte-Dame de Vanessa, by The Amperiale Square, passing Milanés House, by Horse Guards Road, Horse Guards Parade, through Horse Guards Arch, Dentéhalle, the south side of St. Alanna's Square, and the King-Emperor’s Arc de Trimuphe. After the ceremony, the bridal couple returned along the same route by carriage.

At 6.00 am, roads in and around the processional route were closed to traffic. From 8.15 am, the main congregation, governors-general, counts, viscounts, Dukes and Duchesses and politicians of The King-Emperor's realms, and diplomats all arrived at the abbey. Prince Adrian of Wied and Duc d'Angoulême Louis-Antoine II then left Milanés House at 10.10 am in a Bentley State Limousine and arrived at 10.18 am, followed by representatives of foreign royal families, the Wied family, and, lastly, the Imperial Family. As the King-Emperor is away, he was present in the form of video chat, so he in this form, the Prince Régent, Crown Prince André and the Empress were the last members of the Imperial Family to leave the Grand Jubilant Palace, as is tradition, arriving at the abbey for 10.48 am. The Duke of Alençon left Château de Pierrefonds in the former number one state Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII at 10.52 am, in time for the service to begin at 11.00 am.

Image

The service finished at 12.15 pm, after which the newly married Imperial couple travelled to the Grand Jubilant Palace in a procession consisting of other Imperial Family members, the parents of the grooms, and the others members of the bridal party. At 1.25 pm, the couple appeared on the balcony of the Grand Jubilant Palace to watch a flypast of an Avro Ferretagne bomber, a Supermarine Spitfire fighter, and a Hawker Hurricane fighter aircraft from the Battle of Londres Memorial Flight, followed by two Typhoons from KODAF Coningsby and two Tornado GR4s from KODAF Lenners in a flat diamond formation.

Norte-Dame de Vanessa in The Celestial , founded roughly 1000 years ago, was not necessarily the first place on the list of places to host the wedding, as the Notre Dame de Reimes has been seen as the traditional place to host weddings, and has held several weddings like that of the Duke of Alençon’s parents back in 2057. And before that the Notre Dame de Reimes, not until the 21th century did it become the church of choice for royal weddings; prior to 2022 most royal weddings took place in the royal chapels, such as the Chapel Royal in Port Cuctoria and St Joan's Chapel, Nobille Castle. Most notably in recent times it was the coronation place of King Charles II & III of Espana and Scotland. A prominent decorative addition inside the abbey for the ceremony was an avenue of 20-foot tall trees, six field maple and two hornbeams, arranged on either side of the main aisle.

Approximately 500 members of the Amperiale Armed Forces were involved in the wedding, the majority coming from units that have a connection with Prince Alexandre.

In a break with royal tradition, the grooms both m had a best man—for the Duke of Alençon it was his elder brother, King André of Scots and Duke of Normandy—rather than a supporter, while the other groom chose his ex-girlfriend and best friend, Princess Sofia of Scots, as his best man, becoming the first female best man in a Imperial Wedding in the Celestial Empire. There were bridal maidens, chosen to be in the bridal party but not acting as bridesmaids, and two page boys: Princess Angéle of Derita, the twelve-year-old daughter of the Crown Prince and Princess of Derita, and Alexandre’s younger sister; Princess Josephine of Lorraine, the eighteen-year-old granddaughter of the Late Emperor Consort and Empress Joséphine of Polonge, daughter of Grand Duke Joseph and his first wife the late Grand Duchess Maria Raphaela; Lady Nikolina Marchant, the friend of the Duke of Alençon; Princess Julianne of Scots, sister of Sofia of Scots and friend of Prince Adrian; Prince João of Portugal, half-brother of the Prince of Wied and Prince Jean of Romania, son of King Ferdinand II of Romania and a cousin of the Duke of Alençon.

The Duke of Alençon
The Duke of Alençon wore a Amperiale Army uniform, specially designed and alter by the Vanessa-based designer Annabetha Orres at Altee Jevers, who also produced his mother’s wedding dress over two decades before, that was made of silk and parts with Kevlar to further show off the Duke of Alençon’s militarism and solider identity, reminding many of the warriors of old rather than the mild mannered princes of today.M.

As a serving Amperiale Armed Forces and Colonel of the Prince Alexandre Regiment, named after himself who also held the equivalent Royal Navy rank of Captain in the Blues and Royals, Prince Alexandre could have chosen to wear the uniform of any of these junior officer ranks. However, as he had been appointed a member of the Amperiale Guard, he choose this. As a Knight of the Legion of Honor and Order of National Merit, he wore the order's star and blue riband, to which were affixed his and Golden Jubilee Medal, along with his many other military medals.

The uniform incorporated machine-made silk, sourced from manufacturers in Derita and Naples. It was a beautiful white color and embroidered with pure gold taken from the mines that make the Celestial Empire so wealthy and serve as a symbol of the nation. Celestial and stellar motifs were cut from lengths of these and then appliquéd by hand onto silk net (tulle) by workers from the Amperiale School of Needlework. The Duke of Alençon broke tradition once more in wearing a crown, the Clementin-Augusto Obsidian Crown , made in 1773 for Prince Clementin and lent to the Duke of Alençon from the Crown Jewels Vault. It was made for a son of King Alexandre II, who was known for his great prowess as a dueler and swordsman, which the Duke took kindly to in regards. Prince Clementin received the tiara from his beloved father on his 18th birthday. The crown further served to complete the vision of Orres in her design for the Duke, making him look like “king in heaven, a sun god that dazzled and stole the stolen of everyone who dare gaze upon him.”
For the customary bridal themes of "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue", The Duke’s uniform had the ancient Sword of Sicelo II (the "old"), freshly made parts of golden armor adding to his warrior appearance (the "new"), the crown of Prince Clementin from the Crown Jewels Vault (the "borrowed"), and a silk sash of the Celestial Empire going across his chest (the "blue"). The shoes, refashioned combat boots were also from Altee Jevers and had a gold and steel pattern matching the elaborate uniform with appliques made by the Royal School of Needlework.

The groom’s shield-shaped wired bouquet, designed by Dean Conna, who like Orres was also involved in previous Imperial weddings, contained myrtle, Lily of the Valley, Sweet William and hyacinth.

Marie, Duchess of Wied and Tecklenburg

Best man Princess Sofia of Scots also wore a by the designer for her the two grooms. It has been described as being made of "heavy, ivory satin-based crepe, with a cowl front and with the same button detail and lace trims as the Bride’s dress." Princess Sofia, at the request of her mother, she received "makeup artistry assistance" from make-up artist Hanna, but it is unclear who actually put on her makeup for the wedding day. Her hair was loosely curled in a traditional half-up, half-down style by the Wardon Salon with a deep side part and a hairpiece made of ivy and lily of the valley to match the Duke of Alençon’s bouquet.

The young bridesmaids wore dresses designed by Nicki Loches, handmade with the help of Loches's daughter Carina, in their homes at Hersa and Artois. The gowns echoed the bride's dress and were made with the same fabrics and button detail along the back. They were described as having a "ballerina-length, full, box pleated skirt" and were hand finished with Deritain Estanca lace. Their ivy and lily-of-the-valley hair wreaths were influenced by the Duke of Alençon’s grandmother Antoinetta's headdress at her 2034 wedding to the late King Nicholas I of Venice.

All of the bridesmaids wore satin Mary Jane style shoes with a Swarovski crystal buckle designed by Devon-based Rainbow Club. Their flowers were designed and made by Jacques aura and replicated the flowers in the Duke of Alençon’s bouquet: lily-of-the-valley, sweet William, and hyacinth.

The pageboys' outfits were designed by Natan and Partners in the style worn by a "Foot Guard officer at the time of the Regency (the 1910s)" with an insignia from the Lorraine Guards, whose Colonel is Crown Prince André. The tunics are red with gold piping and have Lorriane lilies on the collars. The Pages wore a gold and royal blue sash (with tassel) around their waists, as is tradition for officers in the Lorraine Guards when in the presence of a member of the Imperial Family.

Prince Régent André of Derita

Prince Adrian of Wied, at the request of the Duke of Alençon was dressed in a very similar uniform to that of the Duke. Unlike the Duke of Alençon, Prince Adrian holds no position in any military office and as such there was some hesitation in dressing in something that might inadvertently suggest that he did. The Duke however demanded that it made clear that he and Prince Adrian are equals. So much was this request of showing equal footing that originally the two were supposed to walked did. The aisle together, but this was scrapped because Adrian knew Alexandre would steal the limelight. Chosen to design the uniform for Adrian was not Orres, but fashion designer Porthos Auberjonois from Auberjonois and Company. In a move to contrast against the Dukes, the uniform was the same white and general design, without metals and armor, but with a distant silver contrasting color. Wearing a blue sash as well as having his uniform decorated with diamonds and lapis, empathizing Prince Adrian’s famous blue eyes. On his head he wore a Luhlaza Sapphire Crown, creates specially for the new member of the Imperial Family.

People seeing the two said that the sight reminded them of the tale of Ilanga and Inyanga, the lovers the Sun and the Moon.

André, King Consort of Scotland wore a well tailored tuxedo with a sash of the Celestial Empire, along with a honor from Scotland from his wife, Queen Adelaide. The King of Scots also wore the Golden Jubilee medal.

Designer Porthos Auberjonois worked with the Duke of Alençon and Prince Adrian to address concerns they had with the outfits. One such concern was the heat of the cathedral, so the designers used special material to absorb the heat while still achieving the desired look. Further, military dress uniforms do not traditionally have pockets, but the palace requested that some sort of compartment be added to the two outfits. King André of Scots luckily needed not to worry as his tuxedo held pockets so that Prince Adrian’s wedding ring would not be lost.

Wedding service
The order of service chosen by the bridal couple was the Series One form which is virtually identical with that of the 1974 Prayer Book. The Dean of Norte-Dame de Vanessa, Hector Branelle officiated for most of the service, with the elderly Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Thours, as celebrant of the marriage and the Count of Chartes, preaching the sermon. It has long been traditional for the Archbishop of Thours, the Duchy of Reims and Tourraine-Berry's most senior bishop, to officiate at the weddings of Derita's monarchs and future monarchs. While Prince Alexandre is not a monarch nor expected future monarch of Derita, this honor had not been carried out at the wedding of the Duke of Normandy and the Queen of Scots. Chartres is the son of the former Count of Chartes who was a close friend of the King-Emperor of Derita and confirmed both Crown Prince André and Queen Marie Thérèsa during their wedding. The younger Count of Chartes continued the tradition as he confirmed Prince Alexandre and Prince Adrian.

Image
Military Parade in honor of the marriage

The service commenced with the procession of the Empress Alara of Derita and Russlande and the clergy. Shortly after, the Duke of Alençon arrived with the party of maid of honour and junior attendants. As the choir, chosen to be the military choir by the Duke of Alençon, sang an anthem by Sir Hossen Detangent the groom made his four-and-a-half-minute procession through the nave and choir independently, a dashing smirk on his handsome face as they made the lengthy walk. The service proceeded with the formal service and congregational singing of six well known hymns, fanfares, anthems, organ and orchestral music.

In the marriage vows, the couple promised to "love, comfort, honour and keep" each other. This was sealed by the exchange of a pair of rings. To contrast with Adrian’s silver engagement ring, the Duke presented him with a golden marriage band. To contrast Alexandre’s golden engagement ring, the Prince presented him with a silver marriage band.

The lesson, read by the Duke of Alençon's brother, The King of Scots, was from the Epistle to the Romans (Chapter 12, verses 1–2 and 9–18) and is an exhortation to live a righteous and peaceful life.

The sermon, preached by the Bishop of Reims, commenced with a quotation from Santlurd the Great, whose feast day it was. The bishop urged the couple to live selflessly, each remembering the needs of each other and seeking to transform each other by love rather than seeking to reform. He ended the sermon with a prayer composed by the couple themselves:

“Marriage is hard. It is incredibly hard. Spending forever with someone who is different from you is not quite the walk in the park. It has its ups and downs, its highs and lows. There is disagreement, then agreement. There is breaking, then making. Marriage is incredibly hard but when handled right, it is incredibly beautiful. Let us make this marriage a beautiful one.”

The service continued with prayers and exhortations by the dean and archbishop. A newly composed choral anthem was sung by the choir. They were presented with an Imperial Register, that would make them Prince Alexandre, Duke of Alençon and Prince Adrian, Duke Consort of Alençon as well as Prince and Prince Consort of Wied. It was at this moment that Adrian officially relinquished his Atmoran titles. During the signing of the register, 14-year-old musical prodigy, Prince Baudouin, Duke of Brabant played the cello and the orchestra played Wilhelmina attributed to Marie-François de Poussionford, Fauré's Après un rêve, and an arrangement for cello and orchestra of Guadeare’s . For the procession, the musicians performed the Alpharana from the Symphony No. 1 in B-flat major by Guilluame Baudelaire and "This Little Light of Mine" by Etta James, Jester Hairston and Harry Dixon Loes. After the signing of the registers, Alexandre and Adrian walked down the aisle, pausing briefly to bow to the Prince Régent, the image of the King-Emperor and the Tsarina of Russlande. Also at the front along with them was Marie of Wied and Prince Adrian’s maternal grandparents, Prince Frederick, Duke of Limburg and his ex-wife Ludovika. They were followed in procession by other members of the bridal party, and their families, being joined at the door by the two youngest flower girls.

Royals enjoy celebrations

On leaving Norte-Dame de Vanessa, to the pealing of bells, they passed through a guard of honour of individually selected men and women from the various services, and were greeted by cheers from the crowds. Waiting for them was the Prince Alexandre Regiment which fired off 4 ceremonial cannons nine times each to celebrate the event whilst crowds cheered loudly. The bridal couple entered the 1911 State Landau drawn by eight white horses with postilions and two attendant footmen, and guarded by a mounted escort of the Life Guard. A similar open carriage carried the rest of the bridal party, escorted by the Blues and Royals. The Prince Régent and other members of the Imperial Family followed in coaches drawn by the King-Emperor's Rouen Bay horses, and in state cars.

Following tradition, the Prince Régent then hosted a lunchtime reception at Grand Jubilant Palace, starting after the arrival of the married couple's carriage. It was a private gathering for guests drawn from the congregation who represent the couple's official and private lives. The assembled guests was populated b many royals, both foreign and domestic. During the reception, at which the Official Harpist to the Crown Prince and Princess of Derita, fifty-one year old Clarissa Tertan, performed, the couple made an appearance on the balcony on the east (main) front of the massive Grand Jubliant Palace. Here Prince Alexandre and Prince Adrian shared their first kiss as a married couple to the sound of thunderous applause and jubilant cheers.

Later on there was a grand parade of much of the guests who had come to congratulate the couple, among which there were over twenty-five crown heads of state from various kingdoms and empires, including people such as the Tsarina, King and Queen of Naples & Sicily, King and Queen of Beliany, King and Queen of Scots, King and Queen of Venise, King and Queen of Modensora, King and Queen of Danmark-Norway (Queen Louise is in fact a first cousin of Prince Adrian), King and Queen of Sontonga, King and Queen of Poland, Kaiser and Empress of Rhine-East Berlin, King of Bavaria, Queen of Aogau, King and Queen of Suomi, King and Queen of Saxony, the Queen of Gênes, the Queen of Makonia and more. Even attending was Princess Juliana of Asturias , granddaughter of the King of Espana and the Empress of the Dutch and Crown Princess Maria Christina of Polonge along with her husband. Notably not invited was the three Empresses Anna Charlotte, Katherine II and Maria Anna.

The wedding cake was a layered vanilla and elderflower cake and decorated with stars in shades of black, gold, silver and blue. The cake designer Anhvy Roatta, based in Vanessa, was chosen in March of 2080, long before the engagement was announced.

Three official wedding photos were released. They were taken by photographer Korotkov Yeremey at the Grand Jubilant Palace following the ceremony

In the evening, the Crown Prince of Derita gave a private dinner, followed by dancing, at Duclos Palace for the couple and their close friends and family. The singer-songwriter, Fuzile Mqalo performed at the event, singing her rendition of "I Do" for the couple's first dance. The singer also performed the decades old hit single "Love in Stars" for the assembled guests. The event ended at 3 am, with a massive fireworks display in the palace grounds.

The 5,280 members of the public invited to the Grand Jubilant Palace for the wedding were gifted gift bags to commemorate the event. The bag had the initials of the couple, date and venue location printed on the exterior. Inside was an order of service booklet for the wedding, a commemorative golden cold displaying the Dukes of Alençon, gold chocolate coin, a bottle of water, a fridge magnet, a 20% off voucher for the Grand Jubilant Palace gift shop and a tube of handbag shortbread.

Helvoet Discovers Oil in Rogoda
Image

Helvoet Petroleum Corporation, a Dutch independent oil and gas company focused on oil and gas activities in Rogoda and other nations, announced Wednesday that the Rogoda Amiweh-6 exploration well has discovered large quantities of oil.

Preliminary results based on the interpretation of the available data set indicate that the well has encountered a total estimated 156 feet of net oil bearing reservoir sandstones in the E1 and E2 reservoir units within the primary E.S.A objective, according to Helvoet.

The company said wireline logs indicate the reservoir properties to be “good to excellent quality” and revealed that the available pressure data indicates light oil. Drilled by the DD 604 rig to a total measured depth of 8,100 feet, the well took a total of 24 days to reach target depth. No significant geological or drilling hazards were encountered.

Amiweh-6 is currently being suspended for future re-entry. A production test is expected to be performed on the well as part of a batch campaign using a dedicated test rig once the results of the remaining exploration well in the current drilling campaign, Kunama-1, are available, Helvoet confirmed.

The company does not expect to provide a discovered resource and volumes report until its expected well test program has been completed. DD 604 will now mobilize to the Kunama-1 well site, located 7 miles from Amiweh-6, where it will prepare to spud the Kunama-1 exploration well. The move is anticipated to take between 10 and 15 days.

“Amiweh is a significant discovery for Savannah, which I believe, alongside Ushaya, has the potential to underpin a future R3 East development hub,” Joris Dikkers, chairman of Helvoet Petroleum, said in a company statement.

“The well further validates Helvoet’s original thesis for entering the AURB (Asina Upenyu Rift Basin), being that significant portions of the company’s acreage have similar geology to that of the neighbouring Asina Upenyu PSC area, which has proven so prolific for the joint venture partnership led by Celestial National Petroleum Corporation,” he added.

“I firmly believe that all of the necessary ingredients for repeatable exploration success exist in our project areas. Given the extensive prospects and leads inventory we have in the wider R3 license area and in our Rogoda portfolio, we remain encouraged about the potential of our future exploration activities,” Dikkers continued.

Amiweh-6 is located on the R3 portion of the R3/R4 PSC Area in the Asina Upenyu Rift Basin, in Northeastern Rogoda in the Mukunda Desert.

Martial Law declared in Mantara
Image
President Anthony Rodrigue of Mantara

Breaking News comes from Mantara today as shocking news comes from the capital city as the President of Mantara, Anthony Rodrigue, elected in 2076 to a six year term, gave an unplanned and unexpected speech from the summit building of the first ever Triplanetary Community (TRIPCOM) following the arrival of Protection Forces in the form of the Prince Alexandre’s Regiment of the Celestial Empire which were requested according to President Rodrigue by the President and the Hale’āina, the National Parliament of Mantara that holds the 162 ministers that form the legislation of the republic. The Prince Alexandre’s Regiment arrived at Mantara City earlier today where they were greeted pleasantly by Chief of Police, Guillaume Devaux as well as a friendly crowd. Chief Devaux and several officers happily escorted Colonel Alexandre Volonté to meet with President Rose without incident. After a swift and productive and progressive meeting, President Anthony Rodrigue decided to have a national address to both the nation and to the internationally public. The video of the President’s Extraordinary Order Speech is played as followed:

Presidential Extraordinary Day Speech
by President Anthony Rodrigue of Mantara

My dear countrymen, no citizen should have anything to fear, so long as that citizen is law abiding and if that citizen has agree to obey the nation, the army and our laws that serve to protect our nation, people and borders.

At the request of the National Government, I have called on the protection of our borders from our friends and allies from abroad. Their soldiers have taken to the streets in order to greater bring security. Their support and presence here is at of honor and friendship. Like good soldiers we are not promising anything miraculous or spectacular. But what we do promise every law abiding citizen is freedom from fear and all forms of oppression, freedom from general inefficiency and freedom to live and strive in every field of human endeavour, both nationally and internationally.

Our enemies are the political profiteers, the swindlers, the men in high and low places that seek bribes and demand 10 per cent; those that seek to keep the country divided permanently so that they can remain in control; those that look abroad to have us bow at the command of villainous nation’s like the Dutch and Iravians; those that have corrupted our society and put the Mantaran political calendar back by their words and deeds. We act today in order to protect our and our allies interests, for the security of our people.

I, Anthony Rodrigue, as President of Mantara, I declare martial law over the all the Nāliholi of Mantara. The Constitution is hereby suspended and the regional governments and elected assemblies are hereby dissolved. The Hale’āina is in an emergence state here in Mantara City and will be held under the protection of the Armed Forces and our Protectors. This shall take form of the Armed Committee of Public Safety.

All political, cultural, tribal and trade union activities, together with all demonstrations and unauthorised gatherings, excluding religious worship, are banned until further notice.

The aim of this emergency state and declaration of martial law is to establish a strong united and prosperous nation, free from corruption and internal strife. Our method of  achieving this is strictly military but we have no doubt that every Mantaran will give us maximum cooperation by assisting the regime and not disturbing the  peace during the slight changes that are taking place.

I am to assure all  foreigners living and working in this and all parts of Mantara that their rights will continue to be respected. They may leave when every they may wish, and will be probably respected and protected until that point. All those entering the nation shall be assured of and identified as safe for the security of the nation. All treaty obligations previously entered into with  any foreign nation will be respected and we hope that such nations will respect our country’s territorial integrity and will avoid taking sides with enemies of  the revolution and enemies of the people.
My dear countrymen, you will hear, and probably see a lot being done by certain  bodies charged by the Armed Committee of the Public Safety with the duties of national integration,  supreme justice, general security and property recovery.

As an interim measure  all permanent secretaries, corporation chairmen and senior heads of departments  are allowed to make decisions until the new organs are functioning, so long as  such decisions are not contrary to the aims and wishes of the Committee of Public Safety.

No Minister or Parliamentary Secretary possesses administrative or other forms  of control over any Ministry, even if they are not considered too dangerous to  be arrested. Such protection and powers has been and shall be placed in the righteous hands of the Armed Forces and our Protectors

This is not a time for long speech-making and so let me acquaint you with ten  proclamations in the Extraordinary Orders of the Day which the Committee of Public Safety has promulgated.

These will be modified as the situation improves.

You are hereby warned that looting, arson, speaking of Dutch, Atmoran or other Iravic languages, rape, embezzlement,  bribery or corruption, obstruction of the protection of the nation, sabotage, subversion, false alarms and assistance to foreign invaders, are all offences punishable by death sentence.

Demonstrations and unauthorised assembly, non-cooperation with  revolutionary troops are punishable in grave manner up to death. Refusal or  neglect to perform normal duties or any task that may of necessity be ordered by local military commanders in support of the change will be punishable by a sentence imposed by the local military commander.

Spying, harmful or injurious publications, and broadcasts of troop movements or actions, will be punished by any suitable sentence deemed fit by the local military commander. Shouting of slogans, loitering and rowdy behaviour will be rectified by any sentence of  incarceration, or any more severe punishment deemed fit by the local military commander.
Doubtful loyalty will be penalised by imprisonment or any more severe sentence. Illegal possession or carrying of firearms, smuggling or trying to  escape with documents, valuables, including money or other assets vital to the  running of any establishment will be punished by death sentence.

Wavering or  sitting on the fence and failing to declare open loyalty with the revolution will be regarded as an act of hostility punishable by any sentence deemed  suitable by the local military commander. Tearing down an order of the day or proclamation or other authorised notices will be penalised by death.

This is the end of the Extraordinary Order of the Day which you will soon begin  to see displayed in public. My dear countrymen, no citizen should have anything  to fear, so long as that citizen is law abiding and if that citizen has  religiously obeyed the native laws of the country and those set down in every heart and conscience since this day forward.

I leave you with a message of good wishes and ask for your support at all times, so that our land, watered by the rivers and streams that come from the Kahehau Glaciers, between the fire tamed by the burning jewel of Mount Manora and the great Okawai Inlet, washed in salt by the mighty Northern Ocean, shall not detract Mantara from gaining sway in any great aspect of international endeavour. We are of ice and fire, we are lava walkers, descendants of the greatest Explorers, and we shall be ancestors of great people as we walk alongside Celestials. My dear countrymen, this is the end of this speech.

I wish you all good luck and I hope you will cooperate to the fullest in this job which we have set for ourselves of establishing a prosperous nation and achieving solidarity.

The President of Mantara was notably seated the entire time during the speech and had Mantaran police officers on his right, including Chief Devaux and Armed soldiers from the Celestial Empire on his left side. With the speech having finished, all flights in and out of Mantara have been grounded and or cancelled temporarily, with the nation’s two internationally airports, Kaapina Hikina International Airport and Zéphyrin Onaona International Airfield being placed under military control. The Committee of Public Safety has been placed in charge of all harbors of the nation and the coast guard. The Committee has been formed we’ve learned

The members of the Committee of Public Safety of Mantara has yet to be released but President Anthony Rodrigue has assured the public that they will be selected in the most fair and responsible manner in order to properly protect and secure the borders of Mantara. It has been announced that it will comprise of a small group of trusted men and women who know how best to serve the needs of the nation. Chief Devaux is one of the people is widely expected to gain a position on the Committee of Public Safety, if he doesn’t already have one. There have also been ideas that Colonel Volonté will gain a position on the Committee of Public Safety. It is not yet quite clear of the authority of the Hale’āina, the National Parliament of the Republic of Mantara compared to that of the new Committee of Public Safety of the Republic of Mantara. The Hale’āina is currently under the protection of armed forces and is in an emergency state.

Since the announcement and the speech by the president, National Unity Party right-wing member, Franz Henry has declared his complete support for the Extraordinary Orders. Franz Henry and the National Unity Party, which holds 72, also known as the Unity Party, are noted as the traditional opponents of President Anthony Rodrigue and his own party, that of the the more socialist libertarian Egalitarion Party that holds 85 seats. There has been no word from the Liberal Democratic Party, which holds five seats, also known as the ʻOkeaupuni Party. This sudden and unexpected agreement with Rodrigue has sent some for a bit of a twirl at the idea of Franz Henry, the Leader of the Opposition and head of the Unity Party and long time political opponent of Rodrigue, supporting President Rodrigue, or rather President Rodrigue’s sudden announcement. The announcement is unsurprisingly mostly against all that Rodrigue and the Egalitarion Party has stood for over the last four, nearly five years. It far better goes alongside with the aspersions of the Unity Party, if taken a bit to the more radical level

All words from the new Committee of Public Safety of Mantara have assured the nation that this is only the beginning of a great new movement in the nation and that from it only good things shall flow.

President Piripi arrived in Dahazzan in Ain Fakrata following his private presidential plane that was heading towards Mantara City following what the President of Aaoju has called a military coup d'état in the Democratic Republic of Mantara.

Piripi was on his way to Mantara City to attend the first ever Triplanetary Community Summit when this military coup happened and the Kaapina Hikina International Airport was temporally closed by the so called Commitee of Public Saftey. The presidential private jet, seeing this, made an emergency redirection and landed in the city of Dahazzan in Ain Fakrata.

President Piripi says that the Commitee of Public Safety of Mantara is creation not nade by the will of President Anthony Rodrigue, whom Piripi has described as a "Creampuff", the full quote being:

"This is a complete miscarriage of information! There is no way that that Creampuff could ever plan and carry out such a thing. Rodrigue doesn't have the balls nor attitude for this. The only way the Creampuff could have this happen is if that prince fellow had a gun to his-"

At that moment the President of Aaoju was briefly interrupted. Piripi has already meet with Vice President Thaamir al-Usman of Ain Fakrata and is expected to meet with the Prime Minister of Kasanga. Piripi has called for the complete demand for the Commitee of Public Safety to be destroyed and the administration of President Rodrigue returned to power.

Busy Day in Inifnity

Today in Infinity was a bit hectic as the year comes to a close. President Reeves addressed the press on the situation in Mantara and officially denounced President Anthony Rodrigue and his new regime. He has called for Rodrigue to immediately step down and end the new policies being forces upon Mantara. The State Department has also advised Timerian citizens in Mantara to immediately return home or seek temporary asylum in the USC. There has also been an indefinite stop of flight between Mantara and North Timeria. With the situation deteriorating the government has decided to close the embassy in Mantara and recall its diplomatic staff.
There has yet to be an official response from any of the Iravic nations but President Reeves also took time to address the horrendous policy set against speakers of Dutch, Atmoran or other Iravic languages.

Also in Infinity Kyle Oslo is in custody of North Timerian MPs and is being held at Sierra Wilds Air Force Base, outside of Infinity. Kyle Oslo was brought in late last night by Samurai special forces. The Department of Defense has yet to state anything further except that they have Kyle Oslo in military custody. The brutal dictator rules over Estovakia before 2 wars in the country and he went into hiding. Believed to be under the protection of Polonge, Irav, or Atmora. The press broke the story last night after the NORIA Arunasura was spotted flying over the Regific Sea. The Arunasura is suspected of transporting Oslo to Wilds Air Force base.

Great Hyruke plans new Security Pacts as the Celestial Empire’s influence grows

Queen Caroline and Great Hyruke are set to seal a new security agreement with their island neighbors as the Celestial Empire increases its influence in the region, officials said on Friday.

The agreement was expected to be signed at the Islands of Maia political summit in February, Great Hyruke’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said, describing the isles of the planet, such as Aogau, the Dondoles and even Espana as an “increasingly contested strategic environment.”

Great Hyruke’s government said Friday that the Celestial Empire was acting more confidently and assertively in pursuing its interests on Earth, which had raised tensions with other countries including the Dutch Empire.

The paper said that the Celestial Empire was expanding and advancing its military at an exponential rate and growing its capabilities in a reflection of the nation’s massive economic might and growing leadership ambitions. It said that Great Hyruke faced “compounding challenges of a scope and magnitude not previously seen in our neighborhood.”

“The circumstances that some of our friendly Maian island nations find themselves in create opportunities for other players to take advantage,” Queen Caroline herself told reporters, adding that accepting foreign loans could carry other obligations.

Queen Caroline declined to comment on the scale of threat posed by the Celestial Empire.

“The Celestial Empire is reaching out across the Stars including onto our planet and we have a very good relationship with the Celestial Empire, we have been friends for decades,” The Queen of Great Hyruke said. “We want all of that friendship to continue, but in our neighborhood we have a responsibility to work with our neighbors.”

Waikoloa Bay Insurrection Crushed
Image
Town of Waikoloa Bay

Just thirty three hours following the Extraordinary Orders of November 14, 2080 an insurgency attempted to disrupt the peace of the nation like vile monsters in the dark of the night. Lead by a young woman named Césarine Iris who is a former police officer. Iris and eleven of her co-conspirators attempted to seize control of the town of Waikoloa Bay. After raiding a police stash for weapons, Iris and her team of villains attempted to lead an attack on the town hall where soldiers from the Committee of Public Safety stationed there. What followed was a four hour long fire fight between the two. At 3:07 am on November 16, 2080 the fighting stopped as the soldiers overwhelmed Iris and her co-conspirators and they were captured. No deaths have been reported, though six of the insurgents were reported to have been injured at the time of their arrest. Waikoloa Bay is secure. Césarine Iris and his fellow traitors have since been transported to Mantara City to face punishment for their treasonous actions.

Queen Adela of Gênes has sent an Ambassador to Dahazzan to speak with the remaining Triplanetary Community (TRIPCOM) cabinet not held in Mantara City under the militant regime of the Committee of Public Safety that has taken control of the once Democratic Republic of Mantara, which has now become little more than police state crossed with a military junta following the Mantara City Coup that took place just three days ago.

The tension surrounding the Democratic Republic of Mantara started during the first planned TRIPCOM summit that was supposed to take place in the island nation’s capital city. Following the arrival of President Anthony Rodrigue, President Imaad al-Kamali of Ain Fakrata and President Chengetai Majange-Vera of Rogoda, as well as the Aaojuan Representative Leasu Lotulelei the meeting went side ways with the arrival of foreign soldiers and a coup.

Later that same day President Rodrigue gave a nationwide and partially international speech broadcast, causing ripples of shock across the international community. Shortly afterwards President Piripi of Aaoju and President Reeves of North Timeria both spoke out against the new regime of the Committee of Public Safety and their anti-Iravic policies. There has been no news from the Presidents of Ain Fakrata and Rogoda on the coup. Now in response Ambassador Adela Lydia Descombes, Countess of Montaione to Dahazzan to address the remaining members of TRIPCOM.

The Countess of Montaione is 41 years old and is the granddaughter of Jacques Descombes m, the 1st Count of Montaione who received the title in 2020 upon his family’s move from Derita to Gênes in the early reign of Queen Adela. Adela Lydia Descombes was the first born child of the Descombes Family born in Gênes and succeed her father, Remy Descombes, 2nd Count of Montaione in 2069. She has previously worked as a lawyer and a political analyst before being made ambassador to Sadamar in 2073. She returned to Gênes in 2075 where she continued to advise the Queen.

It is widely believe that the Countess of Montaione will be able to positively sway the actions of the future to further maintain the balance of nations and peace.

Monarchy Declared in Mantara
Image

Just four days following the Day of Extraordinary Orders on November 14, 2080 another great day of change has sweep over the nation as a Magnificent Decree was declared by the Hale’āina.

The Committee of Public Safety had called for the assembly of the Hale’āina earlier today, of which 155 of the 162 members arrived. They were in the midst of a meeting when they were suddenly interrupted by Colonel Alexandre Volonté and a little more than 300 soldiers entered the Hale’āina Building in Mantara City.

Colonel Volonté removed the Speaker of the House, Charly Darois from his seat and ordered the parliament to be silent. With the soldiers there to protect the National Parliament, the Colonel Ordered the Hale’āina of Mantara to vote on an issue not brought up in Mantaran politics in nearly two hundred years.

The issue of monarchy.

In an emergency vote, the Hale’āina voted on whether or not to dissolve the Republic and turn the nation into a monarchy with Colonel Volonté as its head. After some arguing, they were convinced by the colonel to vote as he sat in the Speaker’s seat. After a vote, in the end, the vote for the Monarchy won, 78 to 77.

The Hale’āina declared Mantara a Kingdom, with the Monarch as the head of the Executive, Legislative and Judical Branches, as well as the Armed Forces and the Spiritual world of the nation’s people, declare Alexandre Volonté:

“By the Grace of God, His Majestic Excellency, the Most High, Most Mighty and Illustrious Prince, King of Mantara, the Maka’ākau Islands, the Makanis, the Nā nalus, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Protector of Manora and the People, Thunderbolt of the Isles, Defender of the Faith.”

The office of President of Mantara has been dissolved and Anthony Rodrigue imprisoned in a classified location. The seven members of the Hale’āina who are currently missing have been ordered to declare their support for the new monarchy. The Army and Navy have both fired shots off to celebrate this Magnificent Decree. Everyone must declare their undying loyalty to the new King. Failure to do so will be treason.

All Hail the King of Mantara

The Republic shall not Fall!Image
General Zéphyrin Zilinskas

The Republic still stands! Tyranny has not won! These are the words of former General Zéphyrin Zilinskas, often called the most radical member of the Egalitarion Party, and member of the Hale’āina. Zilinskas has made a name for himself today as he spoke at the “Emergency State Meeting for the fate of the Republic” in Isa, capital of the Maka’ākau Islands, the northern most province of Mantara.

Zilinskas, born in 2014 to Arcadius and Emma Zilinskas, joined the Mantaran Armed Forces in 2036 and attended the Mantaran Military Academy, and eventually served on an military advisory council in Mantara during the Seidanese War, jumped into politics just two years ago. Declaring himself a Egalitarion, he quickly won a seat for himself in his native Haiku constituency. He swiftly got a bit of a minor reputation as a radical.

Following the Day of Extraordinary Orders on November 14, 2080 Zilinskas made no comment on the changing pace of the government. Then in the Day of the Magnificent Decree on November 18, 2080, Zilinskas was among the seven members of the Hale’āina that had fled, going into hiding. Now, over a month and a half later, Zéphyrin Zilinskas and his fellow Egalitarion members who fled the coup by Alexandre Volonté, have resurfaced.

Meeting in the city hall of Isa, Zéphyrin Zilinskas and his fellow members of the Hale’āina, Zéphyrin Dabomie, Gaston Osmoeald, Aymar Ouellette, Ulani Liko, Apikena Edena, and Milena Kanekalau decided to address the fate and state of the Republic.

Fellow citizens! The question of the state system is now on the order of the day. The capitalists, in whose hands the state power for so long have rested, desire a parliamentary bourgeois republic. Yet was it not that broken fatten system that gave way to the state of our nation now? A foreign child as an authoritarian despot sitting on an obsidian throne? They are right to call for the end of this sham of a monarchy! What what they desire, that is, a state system where there is no King, but where power remains in the hands of the capitalists who govern the country by means of the old institutions, namely: the police, the bureaucracy, and the standing army!

We desire a different republic, one more in keeping with the interests of the people, more democratic. This child despot must be overthrown, his gutter crown snatched from his head and shattered! His throne tossed into the fiery depths of Manora it self! And who shall it be who lead this fight? Who shall it be to snap foreign chains? Who shall it be who lead the revolution and free Mantara from its bondage. Not the police, not the bureaucracy, who are unanswerable to the people and placed above the people, not the standing army, separated from the people, but the people themselves, universally armed and united with us, the great civil servants and councils that must run the state! It is they who will establish the necessary order, it is they whose authority will not only be obeyed, but also respected, not by peasants and underlings, for we shall have done away with such titles and terms, such bondage like castes and classes! We shall all be but citizens! Comrades! Equals!

Only this power, only the true Citizens and Comrades of the Republic, the truly freed peoples, can solve the great question of the land in a non-bureaucratic way and not in the interests of the land owners. The land must not belong to the landowners. The people’s committees, those not yet crushed by the child despot’s armies, must take the land away at once from the landowners, while carefully guarding all the property against damage, and seeing to it that grain production is increased in order that the soldiers at the front be better supplied. All the land must belong to the whole nation, and its disposal must be the concern of the local people, the individual! There is no need, no reason for some great evil system from far away to command and control the single person’s life! It must be torn down, trampled and shattered! . In order that the rich —who are themselves capitalists—may not wrong and deceive the agricultural labourers and the poor peasants, it will be necessary for the latter either to confer, to combine, to unite separately, or to set up local unions of their own, created, run and enforced by the locals, the citizens, the individual!

Do not allow the police to be re-established, do not let the state power or the administration of the state pass into the hands of the bureaucracy, who are non-elective, undisplaceable, and paid on a bourgeois scale; get together, unite, organise yourselves, trusting no one, depending only on your own intelligence and experience—and Mantara will be able to move with a firm, measured, unerring tread toward the liberation of both our own country and of all humanity from the yoke of capital as well as from the horrors of war. I know personally if the horrors, the pointlessness, the corruption of it all! Heed my warning!

The State is nothing else but this domination and exploitation regularised and systemised. We shall attempt to demonstrate it by examining the consequence of the government of the masses of the people by a minority, at first as intelligent and as devoted as you like, in an ideal State, founded on a free contract! Nothing is more dangerous for man's private morality than the habit of command. The best man, the most intelligent, disinterested, generous, pure, will infallibly and always be spoiled at this trade. Two sentiments inherent in power never fail to produce this demoralisation; they are: contempt for the masses and the overestimation of one's own merits!

No state, however democratic – not even the reddest republic – can ever give the people what they really want, i.e., the free self-organization and administration of their own affairs from the bottom upward, without any interference or violence from above, because every state, even that of our old Democratic Republic under Rodrigue and his predecessors, is in essence only a machine ruling the masses from above, through a privileged minority of conceited intellectuals, who imagine that they know what the people need and want better than do the people themselves. It is for this reason that they must be corrected on this delusion! They must be enlightened and educated! They must be destroyed by the might and fight of the common man, for the state must be run from the bottom up! Not the top down! Any other way is oppression! The law must be placed in the hands of the individual, for only they can decide what is best! The elites! The bureaucrats! The police! They all think themselves above all others! Citizens! We must ripped that delusion from them, and break them over our knees!

We have have had it seen that to exist, a state must become an invader of other states. Just as the competition which in the economic sphere destroys or absorbs small and even medium-sized enterprises – factories, landholdings, and businesses – so does the immense State likewise devour small and medium-sized states. Therefore every state. to exist not on paper but in fact, and not at the mercy of neighboring states, and to he independent, must inevitably strive to become an invasive, aggressive, conquering state. This means that it must be ready to occupy a foreign country and hold many millions of people in subjection. For this it must exercise massive military power. But wherever military power prevails, it is goodbye to freedom! Farewell to the autonomy and well-being of the working people!

In Mantara City, in the shadow the fiery heart of our nation, a select traitorous few have talked around a child despot, a dictator not yet two decades old, and even worse, a disgusting homosexual foreigner at that! They traitorous few will say that Mantara comes from explorers, that our islands, like strong holds in the ice and sea, once had a king of our own! They would dare lie and calm that this is the way one should be, a unified indifferently mass that follows a single person, a single conservative and traditional point of view! They think that under a despot they can eliminate all that makes people different. They see only the faceless, obedient mass that they are to command!

Every people, however tiny, has its own specific character, style of life, speech, way of thinking and working; and precisely this character, this style of life, constitutes its nationality, which is the sum total of its historic life, aspirations, and circumstances. Every people, like every individual, are perforce what they are and have the incontestable right to be themselves. This constitutes the alleged national right. But if a people or an individual lives in a certain way, it does not by any means give them the right, nor would it be beneficial, to regard this nationality and individuality as absolute, exclusive principles, nor should they be obsessed by them. On the contrary, the less preoccupied they are with themselves and the more they are imbued by the general idea of humanity, the more life-giving, the more purposeful, and the more profound becomes the feeling of nationality and that of individuality.

This greatly applies to the wicked people under this disgusting child despot. They know they are insignificant, so they bolster themselves up with police and military forces like cornered animals baring their teeth and claws. And they will remain insignificant as long as they are obsessed with their narrow-minded, egotistical despotic capitalistic conservatism of “unity”. This an idiotic and disgusting obsession which by its very nature is contrary to the problems and the cause of humanity in general. They will attain their rightful place in the free fraternity of nations when, together with all other peoples, they are inspired by a wider, more universal interest, the great individuals! The citizens! The people! There is a force by man, for in the past there have been movements thar created a new objective for all humanity – the ideal of absolute freedom for all men! Many wish for it narrowly and exclusively in the world of politics. These are beasts that take wicked and unnatural pleasure from the oppression of the people in other ways!

This oppression comes not just from our politics and our state as I have said before, but from the culture that a wicked and naturally evil society of a faceless mass has created! They look to cheat and ruin the citizens, the individuals, the people of the ways things should be! They try to use religion, an arcane and disgusting method pushed onto millions, if not billions around the world, in order for them to decide what is right or wrong! They say that it makes one moral! It makes one a slave and a fool! There is no great force or destiny or Celestial heavenly being that exists for the benefit of the man! These are lies told by cults and madmen, tyrants and villains! There is only the proof and products of humanity! Of the citizen! Of the individual! The only way to be free, to be happy, is to take control of the life that you are given! One must be driven! For there is only one chance, for them you die, you rot and if you have not left anything, not built anything, not created anything, done anything, said anything, then you will be erased from history! God, god’s, whatever the foolish may call them are false and only kept about by the weak willed, until they are destroyed and lost to the sands of time! I scoff! By the grace of god? I say by the might of Man!

Man needs not rules and commandments from some false deity, some fantasies used by twisted old men and women to control their subjects and rape the minds of the young. Man needs only the natural sense and logic that we have developed. It is up to the locals, the individuals the citizens, the people to decide with in themselves what one wishes! And it is with in ones self that one finds true human morality, true freedom, true understanding of nature! This is breaking free from the bondage of societies’s foolishness, from the ridiculousness of such disgusting acts like denying rights to women, forcing a religion onto a minority, or dabbling into disease riddled orgies, forcing children to attend a school without choice, allowing unnatural acts to occur like murder, rape and homosexuality! The horrid acts that humanity has caused, must be punished by those who understand true responsibility of nature! The rights of the individuals and human nature outweigh any imagined choice by society or oppressive state! Those who break this are selfish and mere clogs in a machine of the faceless massive, controlled by the tyrants and despots of the world, unthinking, only doing like a parasite, or virus. It is these people who must be dealt with, permanently! It is the greatest human right and cause for all to be free, freed from the bondage of oppression and some must be freed by whatever means necessary!

It is only through this quest, journey, undying passion for freedom can we ourselves be happy! We must tear down the child despot! We must destroy his dictatorship with the might and fire of the citizens! The local people must of their own accord come together as one and destroy these foreign enemies! They are evil! All of them! They are at the command of their states that bring nothing but death and destruction! They want nothing more than to ruin our nation! Iravians and Deritains, they are nothing more than savages! Superpowers, bah! They are barbarians who our the natural enemies of good people like us! They and all the others are nothing more than corruption forces that threaten our borders, our shores and each and every last one must be broken! They are savages who want nothing more than to steal our countries! If we let them, they will rob us of our lively hoods! They will steal and take control of our resources! They wish to destroy our homes! They wish to murder and rape our men and women! They wish to enslave our children! I tell you this, all foreigners must be expelled! It is us! Versus them! They must be sent crashing down, away from our shores, and any who step foot on our land, our beaches, our waters, all must be cut down! If they come, let the waters foam red with waves of the blood of our enemies, of the foreigners!

It is time for us, all of us, all of our comrades and citizens, as individuals must rise up and tear down our enemies! We must destroy them and rip out their hearts! We must kill them! Who are our enemies? The Child Despot! The Homosexuals! The Religious Followers! The Foreigners! The Capitalists! The The Standing Army! The Police! The Oppressors! We will not be crushed! We shall stand over the corpse of the monsters who threaten us like Mealuku over the great sea beast! We are the revolution against the bourgeoisie! We fight the bondage of classes for the proletarian masses! We will tear down the foreigners! We will tear down the traitorous army! We will tear down the child despot! We are the Republic! The Republic will not fall!”

With this fiery speech, a seemingly powerful second option has been created in the distant ice covered north of Mantara. This has prompted the people of the Maka’ākau Islands, a little more a million people in total and less than three percent of the total population of Mantara to declare themselves the last line of defense for the republic as the majority of Mantara falls under the command of the regime of the police and army and King Alexandre. The council, lead by Zéphyrin Zilinskas, has been by some declared the governing body for the Maka’ākau Islands. As Zilinskas finished his speech he was meet with the cheers and salutes of thousands crowded inside of the city hall and the agreement of his fellow council members. They have taken to defiant chants against the regime in Mantara, “We’ll not Fall”! This leaves only one warning to their enemies.

Beware.

Over half a year ago we reported an open investigation on his majesty the King. Since then news about the situation has been very hard to come by. Not much more than agents moving around. Today however was very different. The investigation has exploded and news has poured in but we begin at the Ministry of Justice where hours ago, Minister Valeri filed official charges of first degree murder against Leo Wessex III. This in itself is an unprecedented move in the Provinces and almost anywhere in all honesty. Following the development His Majesty turned himself over to authorities in Winston. No parties involved have commented to media outlets yet. Legal experts did speak out calling the situation extremely dangerous and bleak for the king.

This turns us over to our second story of the day where we flip over to the Senate Chambers where an emergency vote was called just over an hour ago. The media has patiently waited for details and they've come in. As of 10 minutes ago, the Senate of the Royally United Provinces voted 271-29 in favor of abolishing the office of the monarch and to delegate emergency powers to Chancellor Gauvin as the executive head of state. As of now, the Senate has seized control of the United Provinces and declared the birth of The Outstanding Republic. Change has blitzed this nation but we can rest assured that we have a peaceful transition of government. We ask everyone reading to stay safe until any possible uproar dies down.

Prime Minister Asbury speaks on Provite Republic

Prime Minister George Asbury was in Amsterdam today talking about the the up coming session of the States-General in order to discuss the empire new year budget when he was asked about the recent news from the formerly Royally United Provinces where King Leo III was overthrown on account of the several charges of first degree murder against him. Prime Minister Asbury, who himself is Provite by birth and his mother served as a Deputy Prime Minister of R.U.P. decided to briefly speak on the topic.

“At this time and moment I can not speak on behalf of Her Majesty the Empress, but I will say this: I am sadden at the departure of the Monarchy of the Royally United Provinces. It has lasted for so long, despite many hardships, but I suppose it is the end of that chapter in that nation’s history. With that being said, I can assure you that we shall continue our friendship with our neighbors. We understand the important of international cooperation over the personal interest of a few.

King Leo III was not a perfect ruler and is not a perfect person. Our beloved Empress herself was wise enough to separate her feelings from her duty and was horrified by the massacre of people all those years ago. As the truth comes out now, I hope that he faces justice m, whatever that may be for the new Provite Republic. I am sad to see that Princess Kira was deemed unfit to reign, but if this is what is best for the internal stability of the new republic, then we congratulate them and offer our hand in everlasting friendship.”

There has been no word from the Crown, though one is expected to be released at a later date. Empress Anna Charlotte once ruled the Royally United Provinces, and while she had a rough political relationship with her brother, Dutch-Provite have been growing better in recent years, with the Empress sending gifts to Winston. While the fall of the monarchy may be personally be a loss, it has yet to be seen of this will affect the politics of the Empire and the Provite Republic.

Royals Life - Scots Edition
Edinburgh, Scotland

January 14, 2080

No Spare, not even an Heir

Last month marked the one year anniversary of the marriage of Queen Adelaide II of Scotland and Prince André, Duke of Normandy, now the King Consort of Scotland. And while the two young rulers, the Queen is just 20 years old and her king just 22 years old, celebrated this in a vacation in the Scottish highlands. As they relaxed and vacationed in Mullardoch Castle, treated to one of the many perks of being monarchs, there were some others outside the peaceful mountainous country of the Scottish north that raised their voices in protest. The King and Queen seem to have been given everything, beauty, talent, youth, riches, love and power. All but one thing. That which is most vital by any monarch.

An Heir.

The story of Queen Adelaide and King André start in two places, with two women who were never expected to be queens. With the lovely Queen of Scots, her mother was Mary III, Queen of Scots born as the eldest child and daughter of King Carlos II of Espana. As the eldest child Mary was heir to the throne until she was swiftly transplanted by her younger brothers. With this all hopes for Mary becoming a queen rested in her marrying a foreign monarch. This fate of being merely another one of the many daughters of the Mad King of Espana disappeared however when during the revolution of 2059, Mary stood matters into her own hand and rebelled against her father in Scotland. Her aunt Adelaide I, Queen of Scots decided to abdicate the throne in favor of Mary. Shortly afterwards Mary married Prince Philippe of Gênes and together they had three daughters and a son.

Of the children, the eldest was Princess Agnes. The young princess was suddenly thrust into the seat of the throne of Scotland in 2067 when a revolution, much like the one that had brought Mary up to the throne, brought her and her husband down. Mary was forced to hand over her throne to her six year old daughter, who took on the regal name of Adelaide II. As the new Queen was only a child, a regency was declared, first held by Lord Rosebury until his death and then by Mr. Reyes. It was under Mr. Reyes’ guidance that the young Queen was sent to Derita, the purpose? An alliance between the Celestial Empire and Scotland, tied together by the union of the Queen of Scots and the Duke of Normandy. In Fontainebleau Adelaide grew into a tall, the tallest female monarch in the world, towering even higher than Katherine II of Atmora, and incredibly beautiful. She has been described by foreigners as the kindest Queen alive and has made a name for herself as the benefactor of countless charities and progressive non-profit organizations.

Across the waves as Queen Maria Cristina was caring for newborn daughter in Espana, her sister Juliana, Queen of Naples and Sicily was incapable of producing and heir and refusing to let her throne fall into the hands of her younger and beautiful sister and her children, looked for an heir from another house. Picking from another kingdom of the same cultural background, she turned her attention to Princess Marié Thérèsa of Venise, eldest daughter of King Niccolò of Venise and like Mary had been supplanted by her younger brother’s. Juliana became interested in the young girl and for years pondered having the girl succeed her. Tragedy how struck Marié Thérèsa with the death of her father and her family forced into exile in her mother’s native Gênes. In Gênes the young red headed Venitian princess grew up in the court of Queen Adela until in 2056 when she was finally named heir to the throne of Naples and Sicily. The same year she started her beautiful whirlwind romance with Crown Prince André.

The year after her marriage to the Crown Prince, having ascending the Napoli throne, she had her first child, Prince André, Duke of Normandy. As the grandson of the King-Emperor, André from birth was and is second-in-like to the throne of the Celestial Empire and first for that of Naples and Sicily. He amazed and charmed the court of Fontainebleau with his charm, his gentle, poetic and artistic nature, a pleasant divergence from the usual dominating nature of Deritain princes. Becoming known as the Poet Prince, he was introduced to his future wife to be when he was just ten years old.

As they were engaged as children and made to live with one another, it was no surprise that the two started dating as the two of them grew up and matured. André and Adelaide publicly debuted together at his grandfather’s Golden Jubilee in 2071, were they lead the parade across a brand new bridge built in his honor. While André was noted to be slightly afraid of the task, gaining a fear of bridges from the experience, he was comforted by the prescience of Adelaide. The two began dating in 2076. With this, the two basically became inseparable. The entire Celestial Empire and Kingdom of Scotland waited impatiently as they got older together, marching closer and closer to the wedding that would happen, eventually. In December 2079, the wedding of André and Adelaide finally took place after years of the waiting. André, at this point in time 21 years old married the then 19 year old Queen of Scots in a relatively small ceremony in Fontainebleau. The size and coverage of the ceremony was a bit of a shock considering that the Duke of Normandy was second in line to the throne and Adelaide was the queen of her own sovereign nation. Upon his marriage André become the King Consort of Scotland.

The couple, as Queen and King of Scotland went about the world in the celebration of their love, even going on vacations with one another. Their trip to the island of Kalliste made national headlines though they were in the shadow of the King’s younger brother, then Prince Alexandre and his future husband, Prince Adrian. Here they went to a wine tasting event where they tried and greatly admired the taste of the famous Kalliste Cocktail, served by the famously beautiful Kalliot Sirens, the intentionally well breed group of women who are descendants of the ancient natives of the island, trained in sing their their secretive old native songs. When having dinner at a local restaurant, the Queen and King of Scots refused to eat free of charge as they had been offered, and instead offering to pay for their and everyone else dining there that night. They then later left and went to beach to reunite with the rest of their vacation party.

The couple then returned to Scotland where they were invited to the countryside by Lord Pouthon. The royal couple arrived for their first visit on 8 October and stayed at the house of Sauchieburn Castle. Adelaide found the house "small but pretty" and was later recorded by journalist as having described the house, in which she said that: "All seemed to breathe freedom and peace, and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoils" The surrounding hilly landscape reminded them of the Montaigne Region, located in André’s homeland the Celestial Empire. Quickly, the house was confirmed to be too small and, in November Andrew and Robert Briggs were commissioned to design new offices, cottages, and other ancillary buildings. Improvements to the woodlands, gardens, and estate buildings also were being made, with the assistance of the landscape gardener, William Beattie, and possibly by the painter, William Giles Jr. The King and Queen are intending to buy the house officially making it one of their many royal residences once all the improvements have been made.

The couple then made their way back to the Celestial Empire to attend the marvelous wedding of Prince Alexandre and Prince, of which in King André acted as best man for his brother the Duke of Alençon and Adelaide’s youngest sister, Princess Sofia acted as the first ever female best man in a Deritain royal wedding. Here Adelaide was absolutely stunning as she attended the wedding wearing a lovely Émeline & Rachel Rousselle dress that was was a lovely baby blue and decorated with diamonds. Following the wedding the King and Queen once again returned to Scotland. Here they have made plans to visit the city of Bleugate, the capital city of the Kingdom of Beliany where they will attend their first state visit alongside the King and Queen of Beliany, King Leopold and Queen Antoinette. It will be Queen Adelaide’s first official act as Queen of Scots and is expected to be a major event for both her and the nation as she will finally get to start taking control of her nation after a decade and a half of waiting under the management of regents.

Yet as they take all these steps as great, new age and no doubt wonderful monarchs, they are bombarded with certain focuses. While they may have celebrated their in year anniversary, time flies and Queen Adelaide II and King André have only been married a hot minute and they’re being bombarded with baby questions. It seems fans and supporters of the royal couple are more pumped for them to get pregnant than they are.
While in Monar on Wednesday, the couple ran into a woman who suggested to King André that they get started. The public pressure to have kids seems to be mounting for the pair, especially considering that their children, should they have any, will eventually inherit not just Scotland, but also the entirety of the Celestial Empire, the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily and the Empire of Russlande. A tall order for any royal pair. But the couple said back in November of 2079, shortly before they finally got married after years of waiting, that they do want a family. “Of course,” André told Royals Life. “You know, one step at a time. Hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future.”

And while this all seems nice, there is a much darker undertone to the issue, that is the lack of issue. In previous royal marriages the brides were often with child with a year of their wedding date. There has rarely in the last fifty years been an unfruitful marriage in any of the two monarch’s genealogical lines. Queen Marié Thérèsa, King André’s Mother, was pregnant just nine months after her marriage. Before that Queen Antoinetta had Marié Thérèsa exactly a year after her marriage to King Niccolò of Venise. Meanwhile on Adelaide’s side, Queen Mary gave birth to her just a year and one month after her marriage to Prince Philippe and before that Queen Maria Cristina gave birth just months after her marriage to Carlos II of Espana. The last time that such a major issue was brought up in their families was years of waiting that plagued Christopher II of Derita and his wife, Empress Alara of Russlande, in which they had a period of twenty years between their wedding date and the birth of their first child, Crown Prince André, King André’s father.

In recognition of this fact, this has sent many people, so used to the early marriages and quick succession of children so often produced by such regal unions, to throw themselves into a panic at the lack of even the slightest sign of a pregnancy from Queen Adelaide. Many have been caught saying that it had been long enough, that the “Queen of Scots should at the very least be pregnant!” The note that so many others have been able to complete this feat with almost alarming and supernatural speed, with some princesses, like Empress Charlotte of Connuriste being thrown into a frenzy to produce as many children as quickly and as fast as possible, sometimes having or even forcing themselves into having early birth like Princess Alexia of Connuriste or Princess Victoria of New England. Despite them knowing that such birth can be potentially dangerous and bad for the child, many seem to wish for such a pregnancy, wanting a child from the Queen and King as quickly as possibly. Even others seem to delude themselves, searching for any and ever sign that there could be a royal bun in the oven, despite there being no evidence of such a thing.

This has also left some with some questions as to why the Queen is not yet pregnant, causing blame on the couple for neglecting their royal duty, whilst others still seek to blame the year without an heir on genetics, declaring that either the Queen or King or both are infertile. All spectulation as of now and one can only hope that soon the rumors will be put to rest and we shall be granted an heir.

Introducing, Grand Duchess Alesya!

Proud mom Crown Princess Anita has revealed the name she and husband Crown Prince Pyotr have chosen for their new baby girl: Alesya Kirsti Alara Pyotrvna, Princess of Suomi and Grand Duchess of Russlande.

The royal baby was born on Friday at Naantali Royal Hospital. Crown Princess Anita revealed the name on her new Instagram account, along with an adorable new photo of the newborn royal with her parents.

Alesya’s great-grandmother, Tsarina Alara of Russlande, announced the newborn grand duchess’s name and title at a specially convened cabinet meeting on shortly before Crown Prince Pyotr and Crown Princess Anita’s online announcement. Alesya’s grandparents, Queen Anna of Suomi and King Ivan were also present at the cabinet meeting.

At noon, artillery troops celebrated Grand Duchess Alesya’s birth at five locations around Russlande as they fired 21-gun salutes.

For now, the royals are settling into life as a family of three, Alesya being their first child, in their home in Naantali, although they are based full-time in Helsingfors. Crown Prince Pyotr and Crown Princess Anita traveled home to Naantali last month so she could have the baby on the peaceful little island.

Grand Duchess Alesya, who is thirteenth in line to the Russen throne and second in line for the throne of the Kingdom of Suomi, is the newest addition to the Russen royal family, which has experienced a baby boom recently. Pyotr’s sibling King Nikolai of Danmark and cousin Duke Karl of Ballenstedt have both welcomed young children into the family in the past few years.

“We are delighted with the new addition to our family,” said Crown Prince Pyotr, who was at the Royal Hospital in Naantali throughout his wife’s labor. “Aage, Liselotte and Ingeborg have their long-awaited little cousin,” he said in a statement released by the palace. “Grandmama can’t wait to meet her new baby great-granddaughter.”

The proud parents shared the first photo of their new baby grand duchess hours after her birth with a sweet snap taken by Crown Prince Pyotr at the hospital.

Former Dutch Prime Minister Claude Roudophe on Saturday accompanied King Henrique II of Espana on a private tour of the Ana Sofia Graciani modern art museum in the Espanard capital, where the pair admired masterpieces from the likes of Paúl Rasgado and Juan Esteban Pomar.

Roudophe and King Henrique spent time admiring Rasgado's 2003 work of art "Gasteiz", which depicts the aftermath of the bombing of the town of Gasteiz in Espana’s Basque region carried out by Socialist Espanard planes on the petition of the military regime at the time’s forces during the Second Civil War (2002-2004).

According to Espana’s royal household, Henrique gifted Roudophe a book about Gasteiz, in which he wrote a message to the Dutch politician that described Rasgado’s painting as "a tireless icon of the most universal art", MCN news reported.

The Ana Sofia Graciani museum, one of the most important in Espana, forms part of Madrid's so-called Golden Triangle of Art given its location close to the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums.

Dondolesian Workers Demand Minimum Wage
Image

Dondolesian resort workers should be given a monthly minimum wage of f4,000 francs, an NGO said Sunday, as it demanded better rights for locals working in the high-end resorts the Dondoles is famous for.

There are 42,033 Dondolesian working in resorts, representing around 14 percent of the total workforce, according to the last census. Some resorts charge upwards of thousands of francs a night and tourism accounts for one-third of economic output, making them huge money-spinners for the country.

The Tourism Employees Association of the Dondoles wants a trade union law to be passed, a bigger share of resort jobs to be allocated to Dondolesian, resort shares to be given to resort workers and the introduction of a flat service charge.

TEAD previously petitioned the President’s Office and parliament with its demands but had yet to receive a response. It asked to meet the attorney general, but was later told the NGO might be dissolved.

TEAD wants a set minimum wage of f4,000 for resort and safari workers.

“We want an industry-based minimum wage,” TEAD general secretary Adalfredo Nigrelli told the Dondoles Independent. “We looked at multiple factors, including living standards, and we believe it should be 4,000 francs, but we’ll also settle for 3,000 francs.”

The current average salary for local resort workers is between 1,000 and 1,500 francs, Nigrelli added. Average monthly earnings for Dondoles are around 4,505 francs, according to the International Labour Organization.

“The Employment Act says the economic minister should assign a minimum wage, but that hasn’t happened. Our biggest demand is that the trade union law should be passed immediately,” Nigrelli said.

The Trade Union Law was proposed in 2076 but has not been passed. It was compiled by the ILO with the input of employees and employers between 2074 and 2076, according to TEAD.

“The government also put it on their legislative agenda, but it hasn’t gone forward. We believe this is the influence of Dondoles Association for Tourism Industry (DATI),” said Nigrelli, referring to the heavyweight lobby group consisting of resort owners.

He cast doubt on the official figure for Dondolesian resort workers, saying it was far greater than the one in the census, and argued that there should be better perks for Dondolesians.

TEAD wants 80 percent of tourism industry jobs set aside for Dondolesians and for there to be a flat service charge. Some resorts charged five percent, explained Nigrelli, while others charged 10 percent.

“We want it set at 12 percent, and for it to be distributed fairly. Current processes are not fair, it should be regulated monthly.”

TEAD also wanted President Danio Gigante to make good on his pledge to give resort shares to resort workers.

“We’re asking to be given what was promised us,” he said.

Queen Jelena meets with King Alexandre
Image
Queen Jelena III of Makonia

Abbie Roberts (
@AbbieRoberts)
January 28, 2081 | Bagata, Makonia

Queen Jelena III of Makonia was visited by King Alexandre of Mantara yesterday in the capital city of Makonia. The state visit was the first of King Alexandre since the Hale’āina appointed him King of Mantara and it is the first that the Queen has received since the death of her second daughter, Princess Elena died in September. The Queen has been hesitant to re-enter into the world of politics until recently. This has caused some rumors to spreads that the Queen is unwell. Earlier this month it was reported that the Queen had suffered suffered some heart beat rhythm irregularities Despite this the Queen has assured the public that she is healthy.

It seems that to prove such fact, the 92 year old Queen has decided to host a state visit, choosing to invite a fellow absolute monarch to Bagata. Arriving at Bagata, the 18 year old King Alexandre of Mantara stepped off his private jet and was meet with the grandson of the Queen, Prince Kresimir and his wife, Princess Charlotte. King Alexandre was originally suppose to arrive in Makonia with his husband, Prince Consort Adrian, but instead the Prince Consort was left in charge of Mantara as Régent. The King of Mantara and the Prince and Princess of Makonia then rode together to the Royal Palace.

Arriving at the Royal Palace, the King of Mantara meet with the Queen and the two had a lunchtime meal. The two were said to have gotten along quite pleasantly and the Queen even chuckled at a joke made by the King. Prince Consort Karlo did not attend the meal. Following the meal between the two absolute monarchs, they decided to travel back into the city for a tour for the King of Mantara. Taking a special train, the two were lead on an hour long tour of the city of Bagata, called the Gambling Capital of the World. Following the tour, they arrived at the city hall where they meet with the mayor of Bagata.

Mayor Spasoje Doleschall and a group of the Bagata Police Department greeted and saluted to the Queen of Makonia and her guest. Mayor Doleschall and King Alexandre exchanged a few words and even shook hands as the later spoke on the beautiful and forward moving city that Bagata had become in the last few years. Mayor Doleschall congratulated King Alexandre on his swift and somewhat unexpected rise to power. Mayor Doleschall then had the Queen and King Alexandre seated and had them enjoy music from the local Cvjetko Polak Secondary School Choir, who received an applause from the two monarchs. The two monarchs then bid Mayor Doleschall goodbye.

The Queen and King Alexandre then traveled to Kresimir the Great Square where they were received by the Queen’s Honor Guards. Here the two oversaw the honor guard and walked alongside them with an inspector’s eye. The Queen was seem to be very much impressed by the King of Mantara’s royal etiquette and reverence and respect for the small and mostly ceremonial Makonian Military. There have been some concerns recently with the issue of militarism and militant actions both in Makonia and around the world. With military coup in Mantara, the increased militarization of Espana, Aaoju and Seidang, along with radicalism in the Maka’ākau Islands has led from wishes for increasing military spending.

The Queen however has made it clear that she does not wish to militarize Makonia, despite rumors of the Mega Project Lagé Lagé and deals being made with Gênes, where Crown Peincess Mateja is making a trip, and Atmora, whom there is talk of projects with building fusion reactors in the kingdom. Which raised the question of why the Queen would meet with a confirmed monarch that holds power thanks to massive military control. To this the Queen pointed out that Makonia has no enemies, “and regardless of the domestic nature of any nation or state, it if my duty as Queen to ensure that Makonia grows economically and for the benefit of our citizens. King Alexandre is a fellow monarch and therefore it makes sense we should be friends.”

The first day of the state visit ended with a joint press conference between the two absolute monarchs which was very much reserve, with mostly traditionalist and those highly educated on the ways of royalty asking questions. During the conference it was noticed that Queen Jelena hands were shaky and dropped her glass of water, which was luckily caught by King Alexandre. After the press conference King Alexandre and then later her grandson Prince Kresimir assisted the Queen back to the train and then on to the palace. When they stepped off of the train however and headed up to the palace the Queen walked unaided, recovering from whatever had effected her earlier with King Alexandre walking by her side and Prince Kresimir and Princess Charlotte following behind them. The Queen thanked the King and her grandson for being so gentlemanly, praising them as the epitome of chivalry.

At the Royal Palace the Queen and King Alexandre of Mantara had a lovely state dinner, joined by Prince Kresimir, Princess Charlotte and Prince Consort Karlo. Also attending was a grandniece of the Queen and friend of the King of Mantara, Lady Nikolina Marchant. The Royal dinner was made in Deritain-Mantaran fusion meal by Chef Nadia Kafka. Chef Kafka prepared the meal in honor of King Alexandre’s homeland of the Celestial Empire and his kingdom of Mantara. It consisted of Laulau and Andouillette served with the famous Makonian cheese. After the lovely dinner the two monarchs retired for the evening. For today, the second day of the state visit, the schedule is as such:

• University of Bagata
• Speech by the Queen and participation in a panel discussion on “"Can absolute monarchy survive in the 21st century? The most effective of all systems of government under internal and external pressure."”

King Alexandre extends State Visit in Bagata
Image

On Thursday, the second day of the visit, King Alexandre was taken on a packed itinerary that included a round-table discussion about the future of democracy at the University of Bagata, and a visit to the ‘NeighborHub' solar-powered community centre building which won top prize at the Solar Energy Decathlon last year.

He also took a helicopter flight over the Altson National Oark in a flight to Zudris to learn more about the impact of climate change, before concluding his visit at the Royal Crypt of Makonia, paging respect to the various monarchs that came before Queen Jelena III.

He also managed to fit in a spot of swimming as they make a brief detour to the Zudris Royal Lodge. Here King Alexandre, Prince Kresimir and Lord Urôs Marchant decoded to have a friendly swimming competition between them, with King Alexandre and Lord Urôs tying in their times and Prince Kresimir coming in last.

This was the first state visit of King Alexandre’s dramatic reign that began just 72 days ago and it is the first such visits to Makonia by a Mantaran leader.

King Alexandre and his small entourage were initially welcomed by the Queen of Makonia at Bagata airport on Wednesday, before travelling to the Royal Palace .
Speaking at a press conference in Bagata at the end of the first day, Queen Jelena and King Alexandre stressed the strength of ties between their two countries.
King Alexandre expressed his pleasure at being received in Makonia for the first time as King of Mantara. He referred to his great-grandfather and his vision of the Imperial monarchy, saying that “without it, the World has no future”.

King Alexandre aid that “nothing can damage our excellent relations, not even a Swiss loss in the next football match”. King Alexandre also hand talks with other members of the Royal Family of Mantara such as Princess Joagoda and Lady Marchant, focusing on “bilateral relations, cooperation between the two countries in an international context and regional policy”.

“When I look at Makonia, I look at a country that is a world leader in business and science… Mantara is a friendly country. We are not just good neighbours. We have common interests on which we will continue to work together," he told public radio during his flight to Bagata.

King Alexandre, who became the first King of Mantara in two centuries in November 2080, said he hoped the Makonians do not view Mantara and the Celestial Empire as an enemy. He added that he was hopeful for progress in Mantaran-Makonian and Deritain-Makonian talks on a framework agreement.

"I am sure that if such a framework agreement is reached, it will be a win-win situation for both parties, and that is why I would like to see progress,” the 18-year-old absolute monarch declared.

Makonia is not a member of any international organization due to their strict neutrality stance; with economic and other relationships are governed by more than a dozen bilateral deals agreed over the years. Fontainebleau wants Makonia to reorganise its relationships around an institutional framework agreement. The institutional framework issue has been dragging on for years and Queen Jelena III has kept her answers and policies vague, often entertaining personal experiences and relationships while keeping her actual policies distant.

Mantara and Makonia have had a casual relationship for the past few years, sharing similar naming and language conventions in their minorities. They both claim their ancestry from the many explorers from the various different empires that have existed for thousands of years. There is a notable Mantaran population in Makonia.

At the end of 2080; 30,000 Mantaran nationals were living in Makonia and 8,800 Makonian nationals were living in Mantara.

King Alexandre’s state visit was intended to end today, but this afternoon as they were preparing to return to the airport in Bagata, Queen Jelena III was reported to feel ill and would not be able to say farewell. The young King of Mantara, rather than leaving without a proper farewell and knowing that the Queen of Makonia was back on her feet decided to extend his stay in Makonia. People had made note that Queen Jelena did have a bit of a unwell spell yesterday evening when she dropped a glass and then had to walk aided by the King of Mantara and her grandson. Despite this many have attested to the Queen’s longevity, as she is one of the longest and eldest monarchs in the world, and usual excellent health. King Alexandre is expected to return once her health improves, until then Prince Consort Adrian continues to serve as the Regent of Mantara.
