Introduction
The International Jewish Congress is a transnational organization with the aim to advance the interests of the Jewish peoples with an aim of promoting world peace and prosperity. The IJC was created in a meeting between various Jewish interest groups in Valersey and is being subsidized by the Valersian government. The main headquarters of the International Jewish Congress are located in the capital of Valersey, Casamento. Nations don't need to be majority Jewish to join the IJC, or a nation at all. We welcome sovereign nations, unrecognized entities, political parties, charities, and other interest groups.
Our Aims
The IJC has been given $1.5 Billion by the Valersian government, as well as a tax exempt status to begin furthering it's aims. They are divided into three categories; Education, Culture and Charity & Assistance
Education - The IJC plans on building schools, universities and other educational institutions around the world. The IJC stresses the importance of education, as many poor Jews in Valersey were barred from attending school in the 19th and early 20th century. The IJC plans to build schools in rural areas in poorer countries as well, as many children will go on to receive no proper education, sadly an issue that persists to this day.
Culture - Culture is one of the most important parts of the Jewish faith and the Jewish identity. In Valersey, Hebrew was spoken in many parts of the country at one point, including for long being the main language of the peasant classes spoken in the duchies of Maralona, Torgiano and Bertigo, but has since died out. The IJC plans to revive extinct Jewish languages, and promote dying ones to save them. The IJC also plans to preserve Jewish cultural artifacts, with the establishment of museums to preserve them, and allow them to be put on display around the world.
Charity & Assistance - Many people in the world are living in poverty, many are homeless, and many are barely able to eat. Standing by Jewish values, the IJC will fund various charity missions across the world, to help the most vulnerable people on the planet. These charity missions will see the IJC will build shelters, farms and develop infrastructure in rural areas to help the poor.
