By having a minimum drinking age of 21, binge drinking is significantly increased among people under the minimum legal drinking age. Binge drinking can result in serious harm to citizens. According to an article written by USnews.com, The CDC has reported that alcohol is responsible for more than 4,300 deaths annually among underage youth. The CDC also found that young people between ages of 12 and 20 drink 11 percent of all the alcohol consumed in the U.S. and more than 90 percent of this alcohol was consumed during binge drinking. If we look at other countries with a Minimum Legal Drinking Age of 18, there are significantly less drunk driving accidents and fatalities. Statistics from TooSmartToStart.com state that in 2014 about 3 million 12-17 year olds have used alcohol in the past month. Surprisingly enough, by age 18 nearly 70% say they have had at least one drink. Our bill will lower the legal age for consumption of alcohol to 18 and in turn lower fatalities from driving under the influence of alcohol, unsafe drinking habits regarding binge drinking, and illegal feudencies of 18-20 year olds obtaining alcohol. What initially seems dangerous, our bill would create a truly safer environment. Since the age of 18 is the federal age at which one becomes an adult, it only makes sense to allow these adults to make their own decisions. At the age of 18, one is given all of their rights as they withdraw from minority and into adulthood. Both men and women are now asked to sign up for the draft, which asks him or her to possibly be called upon to risk his or her life in order to protect the limited rights they have just recently acquired. Our bill addresses the issue of the limited rights and wishes to revise them. A legal consumption age of 21 bars these adults from being fully free. Not only does our bill lower the legal consumption and purchase age of alcohol to 18, it helps to enact a rarity by making Mississippi one of few leaders in the United States on the subject of lowering the legal consumption age of alcohol.

Rid Our Government of Factions

Postby Queenlond » Fri Feb 10, 2017 7:51 am

Politicians depend on individuals, public/private organizations, unions, and non-profit organizations to fund their political campaigns and basically help them win their political race. In return politicians make laws that will benefit these groups no matter how harmful it is to the majority of our citizens. Such as in North Dakota where our new President has allowed for Energy Transfer Partners LP to continue to construct pipelines that could potentially pollute North Dakota's biggest source of drinking water. Not only will this harm the Native American tribe that is located near the lake, but all of the citizens in North Dakota. Why would our President allow something like this to happen?

Religion Class Bill
Britton Simpson

My bill is about public schools such as ourselves supplying students with the option of taking a religion class. More specifically, students could sign up for the religion class just like any other and would take it year by year. For example, if I signed up my Freshman year but decided it wasn’t for me or needed to put my focus else where, I could simply finish out the year and then not sign up the next year. I imagine it would work similar to how our language classes work in the way that as you take it year after year, you would climb from religion 1, to possibly religion 2, and so on all the way to 4. Shall the state not provide the optional class, they will lose an additional 15% of their educational funding each year. The change starts with the person in the mirror. The United Nations of Brit is currently by far the lowest in religion having only 654.03 prayers per hour. Seems like a lot, but actually were in dead last and our closest competitor it at about 34,239.93 prayers per hour. After our leaders had a meeting with religious gurus including the Pope, Jesus, and God, we came to the startling realization that our nation would continue to steadily decline if we did not put our problems and future in the hands of God. Quickly after this meeting, our leaders walked out to defeat nation issues with religion as their weapon. Automatically, our nation climbed in stats and the problems vanished. Follow the Nation of Brit and you too can live without fear, danger, or poverty as well!

Photo Identification Requirement to Prevent Voting Fraud

America is founded on the principles of liberty and fairness. Why then is there still possibility of voter fraud? Why are the rights of the citizens and politicians being infringed upon? And why are free and fair elections a thing of the past? This does not have to be the case. All that is required is a simple photo identification to prevent suspicious persons from entering at will. Of course, photo identification can be difficult to obtain for some lower class individuals. This simple problem can also be resolved with a simple resolution.
Identification is a generally broad term. For the case of the bill, identification is any state or government
Licenses, passports, certificates, are all eligible. We want not to exclude the lower class as they are in the most need for political aid. Take a look at our neighborly Willbilly Nation. They portray themselves as a free nation. But how? Are they truly free when candidates win through corruption and manipulation? Are they truly free when we allow the invisible iron tyranny of voting fraud to run rampant? The answer is no.
This issue cannot be allowed to wallow idle for any longer. I propose this bill to save us, to prevent our democracy from being stolen by our invisible enemy. Join us in the preservation of peace and the defeat of corruption.

An Act To Decriminalise the Medical Use of Marijuana

Many studies have been done on the effects of marijuana/cannabis on different illnesses and conditions. The effect of cannabinoids, arguably the most important part of this plant, on the central nervous system and immune system are the primary focal point at this time. Cannabinoids such as delta-9-THC and cannabidiol (CBD) can treat a plethora of issues. CBD alone can relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and decrease anxiety without the "high" feeling brought on by THC. Cannabinoids can be inhaled, sprayed under the tongue, or taken by mouth, so lung cancer caused by smoke inhalation is not an issue. Cannabis has also been studied in in labs and clinics to relieve nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. This is a much more natural and beneficial way to treat sickness than to pump our bodies full of synthetic drugs. Two cannabinoids are already approved by the FDA- dronabinol and nabilone- for the prevention of chemotherapy-related side effects such as nausea and vomiting. Laboratory tests have shown that cannabis kills cancer cells, yet is still outlawed. The National Cancer Institute has even said that cannabinoids inhibit the growth of cancer by destroying cancer cells. So, why is it not legal for medical treatments yet? Taxation. It is difficult to tax a plant that many people can grow in places like backyards or basements.
Instead of filling prisons and using tax dollars to detain people who use marijuana to relieve the pain and suffering their disabilities, injuries, or chronic illnesses bring, why not declassify marijuana as a Schedule I drug (the highest section given to drugs- falling in with heroin and ecstasy) and prescribe them this natural medicine?

Regional government should be handled via RMB or offsite forums.
