With the rise of SHOCK, and the resurgence of the Legion, the Department of Transportation when it came to the security of Tamayo Han, the Secretary of Energy. Which in turn was the reason he arrived late. He walked in the building, overseeing several delegates in conversation. Despite his distance he could hear a little Atish in the air, a language he was not familiar with but thankfully there were some english-speakers here. His head turned he appreciated the architecture. He loved the city, nay the country. Keomorans always had a soft spot for the Iplendi, the lone colony of the Empire that did not secede violently. Furthermore he was a closeted xenophile and he put it in his list to go shopping, just reminding himself of the budget lest his wives roasted him alive.

[Tectonix]

The Valdr saw the Keomoran delegation enter, and stood up to greet him. The Tectonixian State Department had included them on the annual 'International Entities to Watch' list, and he wanted to see if he could learn a bit more. He motioned for his translator, who was fluent in both Atish and Keomoran, along with dozens of others, who translated out, "Greetings, delegation of Keomoran. My name is Alexander J. Maxwell, Valdr of Tectonix. Is it a pleasure to meet with you." He extended his hand for a handshake. "Tell me, what are you planning to get out of this summit?"

[Corindia]

Arlen Cabrera quickly entered the room, well aware that he was late. Not only was his flight behind schedule when it left from Carmo fourteen hours ago, but he had forgotten to declare his beef jerky and dried mango at customs and was delayed further. Still, he wasn't particularly flustered. The customs agents were polite enough, and he was enjoying Ipland so far. He almost couldn't wait for the day's negotiations to be over so he could attend a tour of historic sites within the city. But he had work to do first.

[Ainslie]

Whitford was glad to see that someone was interested in a nation which recently opened itself to foreign relations. He looked over at the two men playing trains, smiled and thought of which nations those two must be from.

"Hello, Zsacu. I'm Andrew Whitford, a senior diplomat from Ainslie. I used to be Deputy PM, but this seems like a much more exciting job. I'm glad to see you are here, hopefully our nations can work together in the future for the benefit of the region."

[Athara Magarat]

The Athara Magarati Minister of Environment, Vikram Sinjali, and his team arrived at the summit in the Athara Magarati way: each individual wearing a different dress meant to represent the diversity of their nation. The island nation was surprisingly diverse in nature as well with high mountains in one area, steppes in the other and dense tropical jungles if not either. And now the Athara Magarati delegation was there to discuss with other nations of the Isles about the issues related to the environment, climate change, nature and other related stuff.

Minister Sinjali, in the typical Magar attire, was assisted by his lady secretary Maiya Pradhan in Newar dress. Present in the team was environmental scientist Dr Garima Dura in her own ethnic dress. She was a product of the prestigious Segentova-Athara Magarat University (SAMU) and was half-Iplandic which explained her height towering above the minister and his secretary. The final member was the interpreter Rudolf Smooth, a tall brown-haired Atish man among the dark-haired Athara Magarati delegation. He was the only Athara Magarati not dressed in ethnic dress.

"Greetings from Athara Magarat, ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for our delay. Since we came from Athara Magarat, we had to go for tighter inspection than others...all due to those SHOCK goons. We are extremely mesmerized by the natural beauty and railway of Ipland. Ahem! Should we wait for more delegates to arrive?"

The minister and his team greeted other delegates by joining their hands. Sinjali would have spoken in his ethnic language Magar Dhut had it been Athara Magarat or Bhikkustan which had significant amount of his people. However here he spoke in Kham; one of the four official languages of Athara Magarat. Kham was easy for him since his native Dhut also had the same roots as the language he was speaking at the moment. Smooth quickly translated the Kham words into understandable English words. The Atish man also could have spoken in Atish a language he had complete mastery over as an ethnic Atish but he realized that in international events such as these, English would be more appropriate.

After the short greetings, the Athara Magarati delegation once again bowed down and sought forgiveness for their delayed arrival. It seemed that Athara Magaratis had developed the habit of apologizing - a lot; to be honest. And there would certainly be some delegates who might find the behavior of the Athara Magarati delegation as strange.

[Polar Svalbard]

Severi nodded, "I will have to check out the museums around, I would be very interested in them. Luckily after this conference I will have a couple days before I have to return to Polar Svalbard." Severi clapped his hands together, "While it is interesting to talk of our nations, I believe it would be nice to share where our nations stand on the issues before us before the conference begins."

[Wellsia]

Hamish Dewar stepped out of the Taxi and looked at the Adentren Center, the Emperor himself had requested that he represent Wellsia, due to his years on Perm and contact with the Keomorans. Hamish had hoped to retire but now after a life time in the Home Office he was now working for the Foreign Office. Stepping out from the far side of the car was his right hand "man", Hamish had accepted the posting only if he could bring his secretary from Perm Miss Agnes Weatherberry. They made a strange pair, the short overweight older man and the tall statuesque blond woman. "Well Agnes, lets go face the jackals and see if we can save Wellsia from dogooders who will destroy our coal and iron industry."

[Ipland]

"Of course,"

Verejn replied to Severi.

"To keep it somewhat brief until the summit fully starts, we're hoping for government support of green energy sources and cleaner transport, though this is again, just brief"

[Covonant]

Minister of Agriculture, Industry and the Environment Gallus Caelianus arrived in Ipland for the Climate Change Summit with the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Mr. Lucius Orientalis and other technocrats in the AIE Ministry. The Minister and his team had departed Coventry early in the morning and noting the close distance between Covonant and Ipland arrived in the country in less than an hr. After gathering the requisite documents for most of the morning they departed for Kirsdoff which was a small town outside of the capital. Having arrived at the Adentren Centre, the Minister observed many international news outlet present and security was out in great numbers to ensure many world leaders and diplomats where safe.

Inside the chamber where all arriving and arrived diplomats had converged was very diverse in language and dressing. The Minister and his team before seeking to indulge in conversation among the diplomats and representatives made it his aim to get himself and his team settled as they came here ready for meaningful talks and to leave with a promising outcome.

The Minister sat in a section that was conveniently empty which the Covonantians secured as there area for the remainder of the conference. The team along with the Minister began taking out documents and their electronic devices in preparation for the summit. The Minister looked around and saw few familiar faces chief among those being the Athara Magarati Minister of Environment who Minister Caelianus met a few years ago when he was a lecturer of Environmental Studies in Jueverna on a visit to Athara Magarat. He also observed the Iplandic representative having small talks with other representatives present. He wanted to get himself organised before he went on to greet the others. He felt as though the Summit would be starting soon but not very soon.

[Kalorphi]

"Hopefully Andrew." Zsacu replied with a smile. "Hopefully." He noticed a seat close by that he grabbed and pulled over to where he was standing, proceeding to sit down.

"So tell me, Andrew," Zsacu began, "How fares things in your nation? I have to confess, I haven't heard much about you guys."

[Ainslie]

"Hopefully Andrew." Zsacu replied with a smile. "Hopefully." He noticed a seat close by that he grabbed and pulled over to where he was standing, proceeding to sit down.

"So tell me, Andrew," Zsacu began, "How fares things in your nation? I have to confess, I haven't heard much about you guys."

"We're going well at the moment, just opened ourselves to the world. One of the best and shortest ways to classify us is a religious, western, socially progressive, authoritarian, centre right democracy", replies Whitford to Zsacu's question.

[Polar Svalbard]

"Of course,"

Verejn replied to Severi.

"To keep it somewhat brief until the summit fully starts, we're hoping for government support of green energy sources and cleaner transport, though this is again, just brief"

Severi nodded, "That goes along with what we want, although we are also looking at trying to reduce carbon emissions in other places. We hope that those here won't get carried away in idealistic fantasies, this needs to be a practical agreement."

[Ipland]

"I agree"

Verejn replied.

As she replied to Severi, a voice was heard on the intercom of the building.

"Negotiations will begin shortly, everyone please be seated, thank you/[Sowl translation]"

[Kalorphi]

"We're going well at the moment, just opened ourselves to the world. One of the best and shortest ways to classify us is a religious, western, socially progressive, authoritarian, centre right democracy", replies Whitford to Zsacu's question.

Zsacu heard the announcement over the intercom. "Well," he said as he stood up, "I should go. Need to get to my seat for the negotiations. But we should really sit down and talk sometime."

Zsacu waved goodbye to Andrew, and walked back to his wife.

"Tamayo Han, and it is a pleasure to meet you," he said in English, shaking his hand before glancing at the translator. "Well at the moment I am just here to observe and to ensure that these people don't get out of hand in the name of the environment," he answered with a light laugh and then he saw the Wellsian delegation arrive. "It was nice speaking to you but will you excuse me?"
He moved closer to the mismatched pair, a tall blonde and a rather stout man.
"Madam Agnes, what a pleasure to meet you." With a smile he bowed slightly before doing the same to the man.

[Wellsia]

Hamish and Agnes stood looking around the conference center, it was impressive at the number of nations that were represented at the conference. Hamish felt a moment of fear that he would be out of place among the veteran diplomats that were filling the room. He was use to dealing with events and problems, having spent his entire career in government, he wasn't sure how he would do dealing with people. In his mind he cursed Bloody Frances Fettleworth and Vincent Halfhyde, he was sure they were behind this. The three of them had met when they were young men and despite differences in background and desires the three had become life long friends.
Agnes Weatherberry looked around with a huge smile on her face, never would she have believed that she would be standing in a place like this. The building was full of foreigners and here she was helping represent her nation at this important event. She thought, not bad for a girl from the country. When Hamish had called her into his office back on Perm, she knew that he had been reassigned and she had expected him just to let her know who her new boss was going to be. Instead he had asked her to join him as his assistant, Agnes had thought about switching to the Foreign Office after meeting the Keomoran Admiral Karma, but this was something else. Hamish might curse Fieldmarshal Fettleworth and Senior Flagofficer Halfhyde, but she said a prayer of thanks.

The sound of her name startled her as she looked at the man who approached her. He had the look of Keomoran, but she had never met him. "Excuse me sir, do I know you?"

Upon hearing the announcement Severi smiled, "It was a pleasure to talk to you but I must sit and be merry." With that he bowed his head and went to his seat, picking up his mix drink and taking a sip.

[United Republican Lands]

As Jack Venison was waiting for the meeting to start, he started playing a first-person MMO shooter game on his computer. He grew tired of waiting for it to start, so he decided to play that game until the meeting started.

[Vancouvia]

Charles Rochester witnessed the scene in front of him: a delegate, from a country he recognized from their recent backwards and repugnant sanctions against the Oster government, had pulled out his laptop and quite boldly decided to play a fast-paced shooter in the middle of the chamber. Charles, never one to shy away from the theatrical, spied down towards his computer, noted the server he was playing on, and then pulled out his own laptop and fired up the game. While it loaded, Charles conjured up a set of large, black headphones that may have been from the 90s and plugged them in. He was ready to game.

Glancing over to Johann as if to tell him to pay attention to what was about to occur, Charles proceeded to absolutely pwn the delegate and his team. With a series of maneuvers and fancy tactics, Charles and his team had begun to spawnkill the entire enemy force while simultaneously capturing the flags and claiming the hilltops. Yes, a bit of TBagging occurred, and yes, Charles was not above its participation.

[Ipland]

The same voice was heard on the intercom.

"To all representatives, negotiations may begin now"

He smiled, and waved as he left. The Valdr returned to his seat just as the summit began.

"This is going to be fun..." he thought to himself.

[United Republican Lands]

Jack Venison exited out of the game and pulled up a word document containing a large number of points.

In English, Jack Venison said, "I propose the following points for consideration. First, by the year 2030, the use of Fossil Fuels shall be banned. Second, each nation shall invest at least a billion dollars in renewable or clean energy. Third, deep-sea fishing, beyond 50 km from any shoreline, and all whaling shall be banned. Fourth, deforestation beyond small-scale projects and operations shall be banned. Fifth, the use of CFC and HCFC substances and chemicals shall be banned. Sixth, chemical and biological warfare shall be banned. Seventh, All chemical and/or oil spill clean-ups shall be financed by the company, organization, group, or individual(s) responsible for the spill. Eighth and finally, a ban on the destruction of the habitats of wild animals. Each of these points will make a large dent in pollution and prevent ecological and environmental disasters."

[Polar Svalbard]

Severi just raised one eyebrow at the delegate without concept of time. He turned to his aide, "That man does realize that we haven't started yet... right?"

[Kalorphi]

Zsacu snorted a bit at the words from the delagate from Polar Svalbard, who was beside him.

His wife hit him on the shoulder and glowered at him. "Be nice."

[Keomora]

Tamayo Han could barely believe the words that came out of the URL delegates mouth. Is he serious? he thought to himself and snorted at the Svalbardian response.
