Hello all. I'm posting to see if 3-4 nations would be interested in doing an low-intensity RP with Bhumidol. This RP would be a good fit for you and your nation if:
1) You don't have a lot of time and you'd like an RP that require little time, but has a huge regional impact
2) Your nation does/likely does trade with Bhumidol
3) Your nation is democracy with press freedoms
4) Not a requirement, but it would be a plus if your nation is also culturally different from Bhumidol
The Basic PlotlineHuman trafficking is starting to become a major problem in Bhumidol, and with the recent unrest in Bhikkustan, Xrevaro, and New Oranistan, it is reaching a tipping point where international media has started to take notice. As international reporters point their cameras to mass graves, red rooms, brothels, and slave auctions taking place in the nation, countries around TWI move to politically condemn Bhumidol, and sanction key leaders of the National Peace & Progress Party and National Buddhist Sangha of Bhumidol.
Over a period of a month (maybe a little longer) a lengthy probe by the Supreme Court unearths sinister ties to the criminal underworld, and shadowy remenants from the recent, fascist past. Fearing financialy loss and lengthy prison sentences, the Bodhai Administration folds, and the elections that follow bring the liberal, Green Party of Bhumidol to power, with their astute and pragmatic MP, Rokhani Yagharu, as the new head of the nation.
What your Nation Has to DoIt's quite simple on your end. I need one nation to make the initial news post. I will give this nation most of the content needed for the post. I will need this aforementioned nation to then politically condemn my nation. I'll need the other two nations to follow suit and condemn my country's government. Following these condemnations, my government will deny the allegations of human rights abuses, soon after which the first nation will post more grit against my nation's human trafficking crisis. That's when I want all three of the nations to place sanctions on high ranking members of my government and clergy.
That's the minimum that I require from the three participating nations. You're free to flourish the RP more if you wish (e.g. protests at Bhumidol's embassy in your country).
Don't worry about forgetting to do something. I'll (gentley) prod you along the way if needed
Result for BhumidolAfter the NPPP is kicked out of power, Dr. Yagharu's Green Party will be instituting deep and vastly needed reforms for the country. The political system will be "Westernized" to make it more transparent to the outside world, the nation will officially end its policy of "State Buddhism" and extend freedom of religious worship and identification to minorities, and political freedoms of dissent and protest will become more stringently protected by reconstituting the role of the judicial branch of government.
Additionally, Bhumidol will be opening its doors to foreign immigration, become more active in regional politics, and reposition itself to defend its domestic sphere, and satisfy its relatively quaint regional ambitions.
Result for your NationNations that participate in this RP will have the opportunity to establish friendlier relations with the incoming government, which is more dedicated to human rights, and regional peace than its predecessor. This includes nations that are currently hostile to Bhumidol and vice versa.
