If someone else hasn't already started talking to you, I'd recommend looking into regional history and connecting with others around your map claim. Then I would maybe look into the way that your nation is run as by the sounds of it, it would be very hard to run as a nation with every citizen being a member of the Government. You might want to limit between State and populace. A Single-Party System might be better.

If you create separate factbooks for information on your nation, that might make accessing information easier.

Also, I'd recommend reading this forum thread to find out how to make a wikipedia-style factbook for your nation:

As I mentioned on the RMB, I am specifically looking for anyone who wants to be a colony into the 20th Century as my Empire cuts off at the height of Noronica's industrial era. However, I am happy for other times too.

After Noronica, New Aapelistan could have taken over before being given to AM. The place is supposed to have always been invaded/run by foreign powers.

As for the first question...maybe a protectorate of sorts. After the Atnaians left, Segentovans and other foreign nations, including yours, were heavily involved in AM. But said support from these nations only benefited some people related to the then dictator. The people slowly began to ahem hate the government and the "Western-based" nations that backed it. There was a long Anti-Western Revolt and AM went fascist. That led to AM and Samudera forming an alliance and attacking nations such as San Montagna, Ipland, Ainslie, etc pre-WW2. And helping Japan to attack Allied nations and colonies (funnily joining the Axis...despite the Nazi ideology being...). (Sigh, I need to add these stuff to factbooks...maybe this is why Kachee ain't on map...)

I'm new here so I should introduce myself.

OOC: I've been on nationstates for a few years now and thought "I've never done any true rp before" so I decided to make this nation for that very purpose. Also, when I made my first nation I was of a fairly different ideological persuasion so it was getting annoying being constantly labeled something I am not due to my nation's name. When you name your country Environmental Support, you can guess that I was a bit of a fanatic.

IC: Alcove Harbor is a small island city-state in the vein of Venice, Monaco, or many of the coastal towns in Sicily. The economy is based mostly off of shipping and foreign trade as it is a hub for sea transport but also a wonderful vacation spot with a thriving tourist industry. Most shops are locally owned but the occasional Starbucks and fast food chain can still be spotted. The city-state has no military other than a small defense force to protect its borders and waters. The city-state is neutral in almost every world conflict and is unlikely to take a side unless it directly affects its' livelihood.

Jacqline Clegget, who was the new segentovan delegate. A 30 year old Native of Andouze, she was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Clegget, lawyer and shareholder in Garland Clegget Cruse, just about the biggest law-firm in the isles, she tought to herself.
She tried not to stare at the king.
He slammed his fist into the table.
-"What the fuck do you mean, Pierre?! The Magarati was suppsed to be there tpday?! Get a fucking hold of your fucking office! I can't have my damn Prime Minister fucking up like this!"
There was a pause, the king scratched his temple, and looked Jackline square in the eyes.
-"You, fix this! You're not just representing ME, you're in charge of representing our country. good luck, don't fuck it up!
He spun his chair around toward the window overlooking the main driveway.
-"Yes Pierre, i told her... ''don't fuck up''... just have Chèrefber take care of it, he'll know what to say to get those slant-eyes on our good side.
He called over an aide.
-"Cofee please. With a good shot of rum, just how i like it."
At this point Jackline couldn't help ut intject.
-"Your majesty, you shouldn't be drinking at this moment!"
With a stare that almost peirced her soul he leaned forward, pressing his elbows into the hardwood desk, ic was almost creaking.
-"Young lady, i find it disturbing you would criticize your monarch, who is clearly under stress."
The aide placed the cofee on the table, King Francis slowly lifted the thermal mug up to his face and took a sip, not breaking eye-contact with the woman sitting on the other side of the table, he reclined into the chair.
-"This office will be yours, young lady, I and all of Segentova will be watching you..."
his voice was beginning to soften up, maybe it was the alcohol? Maybe he wasn't the friendly father figure everyone believed him to be, and just a devious lunatic.
Either way, he got up of the chair, mug in hand.
-"Follow me, get your stuff"
Clapping his hand to his leg, almost like he was calling over a dog.
They went to sit outside the general assembly, listening to the other delegates debating, ranting, raving and even screaming, surrounded by delegates.
The king finished drinking his "coffee", turned his head toward jackline and said.
-"You've already rehersed this, so i expect you to follow me in, get on the podium and let me hold my short speech. At once these lunatics are done dabating. Is that understood?"

Howdy! New Schinifric here, I made a post on the message board earlier and came here after more lurking! I'm going to be looking at potential neighbors and such, but out of curiosity is there anyone who would consider themselves a dictator that would potentially have / be willing to have a city named Schinifric that would have been on the borders or something that could have broken away? On that note, I wouldn't argue with the possibility of being an enclave, that would certainly create more 'drama' than I was intending, but at the same time that could be fun to RP it out as well, haha. In any case, hope to hear from you soon!

Schinifric is a small, comparatively rebellious nation, formed from refugees and exiles. They aren't bent on overthrowing world order so much as carving out a niche for themselves, and at the very least stable lives. I plan on fleshing out the country more based on my neighbors, since my idea for the nation relies pretty heavily on well, the neighbors.
