Inyursta is jumping head-first into a defeat in Bashriyya.
For too long the warning calls of reformers such as myself have been ignored by the Inyurstan military-industrial complex.
The MiC is overly invested in PGM-based attack schemes and aircraft with limited gun capacity. Radar cannot track tanks, this will cause a situation where mass waves of Bashriyyan tanks are able to push through unopposed in the face of failing PGM strikes; meanwhile, the limited gun capacity of our aircraft will allow for a single strafe of enemy MBTs - which wont be enough to stop the Bashriyyan Blitz. Sure, the promise of infrared imaging homing missiles sounds attractive, but what happen when the Bashriyyans jam them?

Lets not even mention the fighter war. In Lolloh-Ruol Wars, over 70% of all Inyurstan air-to-air kills were done beyond visual range, and the rest done with short-range air-to-air missiles. What this shows us is that current Inyurstan fighters achieved ZERO gun kills, therefore if AND WHEN the Bashriyyan rugged, battle-hardened, legacy-proven older airframes break through and engage our fighters in dogfights it will be a slaughterfest.

What the Aéroforça D'Inyursta needs is two different airframes, the first is a high-speed, high-maneuverability dogfighter that relies on good old fashioned gun sites and pilot skill instead of unproven, unreliable, overly expensive electronics like EOST and cancer-causing high-powered radar that can't differentiate between a bomber and a bee. The second being a low, slow attack aircraft with heavy 40mm high explosive cannons to strafe the enemy MBTs from the top. Instead of missiles its wing load will be better used carrying more ammo for more strafes against enemy tanks.

I don't want to see the Inyurstan military lose in Bashriyya, but if they will not adopt sensible ideas for combat reform then the coming defeat is inevitable.

I can't believe "Dr" Penoit de Sucur actually got someone to listen to him.
Keep in mind he made virtually these exact same claims prior to both the Lolloh-Ruol Wars and Tronesia Campaign and came out wrong every fucking time. He's stuck in an era of 1930's-1970's aerial combat thinking all the while posing it as "innovative" and "reform". He fails to realize that SHORADS and FAAD are a thing that exist, or honestly even things like fuel capacity or combat radius.

Bonus fact: Prior to the Lolloh-Ruol Wars (and prior to getting a dubious doctorate at a cheap, for-profit university) he was also campaigning against the YT-3 main battle tank and the YT-2 tank-destroyer for having a modern smoothbore gun, because he's under the impression rifled tank guns are better.

It appears to be that Inyurstans are concerned heavily with war and actions that keep destabilization here in the MENA, example pursuing military actions that favor one group at the expense of another group. This war truly is horrorible, there needs to be action taken so that this insanity does not spread all the way to the Levant.
