Well, I shan't complain about any points anyway

Has everyone voted yet, or is there someone who hasn't? Also, good luck to whoever wins (I might not be able to congratulate you later, as I will be at hockey from 8-9, and then probably bed), and can I just say I actually found it very difficult to decide my points, as I liked nearly every entry. Also, I really enjoyed writing mine (it's the first one I've truly enjoyed in a while), even if it hasn't done so well. I will be back, however...

Qui Chantera Pour Normandie? - The Shortlist

NNN have released the shortlist for the national final 'Qui Chantera Pour Normandie?' (Who Will Sing for Normandy) today, with eight acts presented to the public who will appear in the final before the 53rd WorldVision Song Contest. The broadcaster has been eager to stir up interest in the contest, which they are billing as the biggest Normand National Final yet. The eight songs can be listened to here. More details will be released later, and NNN reserves the right to change any or all songs.

Surprisingly, my entry has done worse (in terms of proportions) than "Scandalous!" did in WV38...

On the upside, it seems like we have some newcomers at the top of the charts. (which was my intention in WV38, so I guess I've inadvertently succeeded this edition in that respect)

Adab received points from 11 nations. He takes 13th place from Krytenia, who only received points from 8 nations

Thoroughly well-deserved and well done. I enjoyed the tune immensely when I heard it (so, so good, it came very close to getting a perfect tune score on my end) and it just had that indescribable aura of good things around it.

Thank you all so much for voting me! Another top 5 result is just incredible and I'm grateful for all of the points that came my way. Let's see if we can keep the train going (oh my lord is Izmepisma really this potent)

Wonderful work on the hosting Mercedini, those scoreboards and postcards looked gorgeous. You were an incredible host.

I'm honestly so shocked right now. I wish I could put together a better string of words but for now all I can say is thank you! Thank you so much everyone for pushing my song into first place!

I'd also like to congratulate Mister X on their highest all-time placing so far. I reckon similar waves of emotion have struck them as well; this is essentially a small victory for them. And a job well done to Mercedini as host, you may not be a WV powerhouse (yet!) but you've certainly proven that you don't need to be a senior member to put on a great show.

When I chose my WV53 entry, my first thought was, "this is *way* better than what I'm sending now" . . .

Could we pull a Norway and win ~~WV62~~ WV66?

So just to clarify what Kalosia touched on:

We've got Mister X having their best finish of 2nd
I've got my best ever finish of 3rd
We've also had Cosneolta's best ever result of 4th

Anyone else?

My charge for the win fell away in the second half of the voting. Obviously I couldn't vote for myself: the final 9 nations gave me just 26 points compared to 65 for the first 10.

Nonetheless, I am grateful for P2, and now I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to win this thing.
