"This being said, we all joined this alliance at some point due to mutual benefit. This alliance is just as much to serve its members as its members are to serve it - no doubt some level of sacrifice and participation is due - but we cannot expect this alliance to be run like some strict special golf club imposing unnecessary mandates on its members.

I would furthermore like to question why the Roskian delegation - which has already announced its intent to leave - feels the need to cause more division and disruption in this alliance?"

The new Romician delegate looked at the Roskian delegate, “The International Freedom Coalition is to ensure freedom. It does not state democratic freedoms, or even members must be democracies. We are here to protect the people and their freedoms. Prime example, we are a monarchy and out people enjoy the freedoms for speech and religion amongst others. The right to freedom does not mean it must be afforded by a democratic government.”

Esteemed delegations of this Council, may I begin by stating firstly that, whilst I will wholeheartedly try to avoid it, my following address will carry an air of bias given my represented nations prescence in another alliance. However, I hope those of you listening will come to agree that I, as ambassador to the IFC, act only with the IFC's best interests at heart. Therefore I shall like to begin by quickly reading a list of member nations whom shall be be booted or dramatically affected by Resolution 40.

First off I simply went down the member list and checked if I could find any other organizations and alliances. That wasn't so easy for some so if I missed or wrongfully listed you please let me know. I didn't do IC nation names out of simplicty and there are a TON of dead nations in that list. Update needed.

Julli shuddered at the amount of nations who's membership was suddenly on the line.

Might I go further as to point out that Resolution does NOT provide a grandfather clause? It would be a different story perhaps if future nations were required to not be part of other alliances, but that is not the case. What the Roskian delegate has done is announce his departure and post a Resolution to kill the IFC! This is outrageous, treasonous even. So may I be forgiven for prodding further? I certainly hope so.
I am not sure, nor can ever truly be, but my intuition tells me that this is merely the Roskians trying to get at the Inyurstans for a series of homophobic remarks their chief executive has made. Triggered Roskians trying to eject disrespectful Inyurstans? Not a unlikely fight given their recent history. But to put over half of all active IFC members in line for the boot? Ridiculous, Dishonest, Beyond Reason, might I say Crazy, and top of all Treasonous.

Regardless of the true intent behind Resolution 40, it is so awfully structured that I cannot even bring myself to vote on it. Maybe some of you in favor can come together and try again with better wording and a grandfather clause, but until that happens I am of the opinion this Resolution is trollish trash; and with accordance to Resolution 15, Section II(B), I hereby motion for the speaker to throw out Resoltion 40. May I get a Second?

"Besides the glaring lack of a grandfather clause which would put the Taisuist Republic of Kirishima; A nation who has been a loyal member of the IFC from day one and a member of both the Western Coalition and IFA preceding it, not to mention host of this council. Besides having issue at Resolution 40 coming from a nation that announced it's intention to leave this alliance, and besides our annoyance at a clause that requires strict measures to be repealed yet does not need those same conditions to be implemented, we take issue with the timing and objective of this resolution. We have had many PM's in the past all with different goals and objectives. At the end of the day many of the past PM's policies have come down to whether we are a globalist interconnected alliances that aggressively promote and defend democracies around the world, or if we are an exclusive band of sovereign nations whose only obligations are to defend other members.

The latter has won time and time again as many nations have different objectives in line with the needs of their countries. All the examples raised by the esteemed representative of Roski including the New Yama issue, which is frustrating for Kirishima, do not include an IFC member being attacked. Despite the many alliances that certain parties find themselves a part of, like decreed in our constitution should one of us come under attack, the other members will have our back. That is the only requirement we need and we should enforce that. If New Yama launched an attack on Guadalupador, I would expect all nations here to back Guadalupador or at the very least take no action against the security of Guadalupador regardless of the request of other alliances.

We simply cannot allow that, and if forced to choose, we will leave the IFC immediately upon passage of this resolution. Due to this, the URA is voting nay of Resolution 40."

Gaila Elde spoke up once more: “In the interests of the Federal Union of Guadalupador’s continued security within this coalition, I vote AYE for Resolution 40. Of course I would support a ‘grandfather clause’ for member-states that have served this coalition with honor and distinction. The reason that my delegation votes for Resolution 40 is a simple one: Alliance politicking is sure to get in the way of international interventions to stop atrocities from being committed. The IFC was created to defend people’s rights from being destroyed by tyrants of all shades. It angers me that all this coalition does these days is seemingly sit on its hands while we let dictatorships run amok and commit atrocities against their own people or others. What’s the use of the IFC if we aren’t knocking heads together and toppling fascists and communisits alike?

Take New Yama for example, I know some of you must be rolling your eyes right now, but it’s quite honestly a great example of the ineffectiveness of the current alliance. New Yama, whether some delegates within this chamber admit it or not, is protected by the Santiago Anti-Communist Treaty Organization. Admiral Ghazan Quardya repeatedly tramples over his people’s civil liberties and is content to set up a totalitarian regime within Guadalupadorian territory formerly occupied by SACTO and collaborationist forces. My motherland was sliced in two and one half was created by certain interests within the Santiago Pact to become a military-run puppet state, with no real oversight on what Quardya does other than he plays the part of the anti-Guadalupador!
Every day, New Yama strips away people’s civil liberties, tries to destroy Guadalupadorian culture, enforces a growing surveillance state and is in the process of constructing massive prisons to hold thousands of dissidents. And yet, we do nothing. Why is that? The internal politics of this coalition, and other member’s ties to alliances contrary to the interests of this Coalition. New Yama can do whatever it wants because it has ‘friends’ in here. Any significant action that could be done would very likely get lobbied against and shouted down in favor of the status quo. I urge you all to think about the IFC. It needs to be fixed, no matter how many naysayers say it’s fine the way it is.”
