ADVANCED GUNMEN SEIZE RAEBERG, MILITARY SWEEPS NATION

Raeberg- Breaking news, the city of Raeberg's center has fallen to terrorists after a highly-coodinated and highly advanced takeover. The report is that this morning at 8:30 AM approx, at the height of morning commute, 19 gunmen (armed with advanced, classified military weapons) swept into the Chambers of Parliament Metro Station, taking hostages, killing 6 security guards before quickly moving up to Parliament (which was in session). They took the entire parliament hostage, but suspiciously let National Republican members leave safely. Police were not informed of the incident until 10 minutes after it began, because of the Met's networks were jammed by high-tech jamming. All nearby police vehicles were efficiently sabotaged, further delaying polizei arrival. At 9:00, the terrorists let out an announcement: for ever 10 minutes a monarchy existed in Hergemoth a parliamentary would die. At 9:30, the third SDP backbencher was killed. The King had made no comment, and had begun an attempt to evacuate when a team of gunmen assaulted the palace.

15 gunmen with expert training occupied the palace in 90 seconds, holding the entire royal family hostage, stating the king would die at noon if he didn't abdicate, dissolve the government and surrender the country to the "Hidden Star" organization, a shadowy terrorist organization that claimed responsibility after their demands were met 6 hours ago. By this time the entire national security apparatus had been disabled, and military forces had reportedly restricted national airspace and set up "command zones" in remote locations outside major cities. At 11:00, the 20th Deputy was gunned down, and no attempts to relieve any captured buildings (over 10 more major buildings had been seized by now) were being made. The military had effectively seized Ossteraz, Laurizt, Lothairstad, and Cravor. Police within cities that had not surrendered were killed swiftly. At 11:30 the king said he would begin negotiating when the military's surrender of their allegiance was confirmed.

In the end the king reluctantly agreed to surrender the nation to the Hidden Star which revealed themselves to him in the course of the negotiation, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. He at 1:45 announced on an at-gunpoint broadcast to the nation that he was abdicating and that the military and Hidden Star organization would have control of Hergemoth effective 2:00 PM. In this fifteen minutes all the remaining government members, thousands of them, were transfered to military prisons across the nation, joining thousands of recently arrested list dissidents. Meanwhile, the royal family with the exception of Prince Rudolf, who was reportedly airlifted to an unconfirmed Hidden Star bunker, remain unaccounted for, supposedly being kept in the palace. The Polizei have been reformed, mainly with Hidden Star sympathists and old Polizei simply willing to enforce law, were deployed nationally to uphold order in wake of the "coup".

After 2:00, Hidden Star command centers reportedly got to work reforming the government of Hergemoth. After a highly-coodinated operation, they have begun to form a new perpetuistic regime, Prince Rudolf and the military are prime suspects to be behind this. Hidden Star was unheard of before today, but after revelations they made after 3:30 PM, they were exposed to be a large group of military and police officers, businessmen, anti-monarchy leaders, perpetuist leaders, Intelligence agents, and much more. They were a highly influential group with access to the entire military, advanced civilian and military equipment, billions in funds, and plenty of resources and areas to be used covertly. Hidden Star, now the governing body of Hergemoth, is holing itself up at it's nuclear bunker in [REDACTED]. This will be the last issue of Hergemoth Royal News, but tune in for any reports in the coming days.

HIDDEN STAR ESTABLISHES NEW PANALEMANNIA, "JUNTA" MEETS IN OSSTERAZ

Ossteraz- Breaking news, after Hidden Star gloriously seized Raeberg just a matter of days ago, the faithful group of warriors has announced they have formed a new, united nation: the PDKP, or Panalemannic Collective Confederation. A group of the highest ranking Hidden Star officers, including former Prince Rudolf, Wilhelm Zimmerich, Air Force Chief Johan Enkarmann, Army Chief Karl Jakobe-Aztorin, and Navy Deputy Commander Hans Ludenstrop, JA-FK CEO Joachim Akraus, and Margrave Dietrich Sigmar, convened in the new capital of Ossteraz to hastily form a new nation, new government and new system. Officially adopting Kaznikism as their ideology, named for the Hergic politician who advocated for a right-wing Perpetuist alternative. The Tribunate was appointed out of Hidden Star members, and the Chamber of Citizens was temporarily formed out of 120 individuals, with the full legislature to be selected later this year. The military and police forces remain loyal to Hidden Star, which now has total control of the country after political purges resulting in over 300 deaths and thousands of imprisonments.

The head of state, or Groszaedil, is Prince Rudolf, as of yesterday, while the Head of government and Chairman of the Tribunate, is now Wilhelm Zimmerik. The other Hidden Star leaders have been appointed to powerful positions throughout the Panalemannic Government. Meanwhile, the people appear to be in support of the new government, although monarchists are disgruntled. At the meeting in the new capital of Ossteraz, at the famous Ossteraz City Council building which is the most extravagant building in the country by expenses, the brilliant Hidden Star leadership that now make up our strong government, it was suggested that surrounding nations like Pruvaria be gradually annexed, in the name of Panalmannism. It was also agreed that Panalemannia would remain in the GTSA (OOC: GTSA is in development stages), and there would be little difference to the foreign policy, although more liberal nations will likely share a mutual disliking of our government. The intervention in Aramas was also called to and end. All in all, the meeting produced a national air that there would not be as much difference, albeit being under a "military dictatorship", although Panalemannia is nothing of the sort and is a nation of pride, liberty and integrity.

An unspoken matter: the royal family. Well, it was revealed yesterday that the Royal Family will, although deposed, will be given a choice that's deadline is tommorrow noon. They can either flee Panalemannia like the dogs they are, stay in Raeberg or within the country as internal prisoners, or go to Leikari Minor, and establish a protectorate of Panalemannia and a royal reisdence there. The King reportedly said he would take the 4th option, worrying monarchists nationally. However most of his family are theorized to want to become rulers again in Leikar. Meanwhile, no nation has yet offerred to take them into exile. On a different note, the Panalemannic government has stated they will officially lay claim to the east of Tyronova, the north of Pruvaria, and most of Kavalierant, the government condemning the last of those as liberal scum. Relations with world nations are yet to change, but they will come out of the mist as official knots are tied in what was Hergemoth, and a clear national policy arises in the legislature.

The military is not to be reformed, with the exception that allegiance switches from the monarchy to the leadership of Hidden Star and the Almannic people. Very few military involvees have deserted in the name of the monarchy, showing strong national support from the strong people for Hidden Star, clearly meaning that Panalemannia is a strong and prevalent nation, despite being fledgling. A reboot of military technology is expected, paving the way for Asuran and domestic military hardware to be more widely used and produce more profit for it's producers. Naval ships and ordnance will change as the navy and Air Force is upgraded for the purpose of Panalemannic defense. The nation's investment and budget into military along with it's GTSA defense budget will not change majorly. In politics, Hidden Star will become a party with the front Alydian Conservatives, along with smaller parties supporting the movement for the sake of political stability in the new Panalemannic government, which will come as a shock to the Hergic people when elections for the Chamber take place in a few months.

State of Truth forces reach eastern Tangkuoan border, corridor cut-off

It has been confirmed by the Tangkuoan military and local journalists that State of Truth armed forces and affiliated militants have cut off the Southeastern Corridor as they reach the eastern border of Tangkuo at several locations.

While State of Truth media have claimed to have reached the border as early as 08.27, third-party observers suggest the earliest instance of SoT forces reaching the border did not occur until 08.29, although by that time advances of the SoT were rapid, and government forces had been almost routed after the ultimate failure of the government defense at Motang on 08.22. Achieving an effective cut-off of the southeastern corridor took another two days as the SoT forces needed to consolidate control over the area and remove resistance from several towns.

Checkpoints have been seized by SoT troops and the Tangkuoan flag flown at these locations were burned as part of a propaganda effort. Videos have also surfaced online of Restoration Organization militants celebrating in the aftermath of this triumph.

Concurrent with this development is a general setback for pro-Tangkuoan forces in the region. At least 7,000 Tangkuoan troops and 4,000 militia are believed to be trapped between the two major SoT forces that have reached the border, and are constantly being forced back by the relentless offensive. Another large group of Tangkuoan troops retreated into the large area surrounding Shendu, which was recently organized under a 'Shendu Defense Zone' in light of recent events and a SoT offensive beginning directly assaulting the area as well. Thousands of Tangkuoan soldiers and militiamen have been killed or captured, although State of Truth losses are largely comparable.

The severing of the southeastern corridor bears serious consequences. The tens of thousands of Tangkuoan forces in the Shendu Defense Zone are deprived of supply or reinforcement, and any effort at breaking the encirclement is likely to be heavily limited by combat around Zhumen, of which the situation is not in favor of Tangkuo either. More seriously, the population of the trapped regions, especially of a metropolis as important as Shendu, are likely in dire danger. The inevitable military escalation in this region will definitely spark a massive humanitarian crisis; the possibility of such a densely populated area now under hands of Kaungiists can make many shiver.

Tangkuo is not in a favorable position, seeing little success in other fronts as the recent Wusitwui-led assault on Mozu failed to attain strategic goals, while Zhumen has essentially been bypassed and is even under danger of encirclement as Restoration Organization forces wreaked sufficient havoc to seize large amounts of territory and numerous towns north of it. However, with the Cataian Compact increasing its vigilance with expressions of solidarity and planned military exercises recently, the situation can be changed again by greater power politics.

The Ulf Abrahamsen Memorial Centre erupted in cheers and jeers last night as the convention for the nationalist Freedom Party saw Wacłôw Adómczik win the leadership by a mere margin of four percent over his main opponent, interim leader Adóm Szlązak. Adómczik, who ran the short internal campaign on a right-wing platform rallying mainly against immigration and supporting law and order, won a plurality of the vote, with 262 votes (41.72%) cast for him. His opponents, centrists Adóm Szlązak and Macéj Dahl, garnered 240 (38.22%) and 126 (20.06%) respectively

His win brings the surge of Aeian right-wing populism to Ostry, a territory that is often joked about in Navack as being politically boring and wont to elect centrists to positions of power. Adómczik’s election has upended this stereotype, and it is possible that the Freedom Party will trend into unknown electoral waters under his rule.

This however, is if Adómczik is able to keep the centrist wing on board. The narrow margin between him and Szlązak has already placed the more moderate members in a state of threatening to leave the party and form another group, under the leadership of Szlązak, Dahl, or both. Szlązak himself has stated any move to bring former party leader Jérzy Hagen back into the party will automatically make him resign, leaving the party with no representation in the Regional Assembly. Macéj Dahl confirmed the potential split by stating that he and his supporters will wait “for Mr. Adómczik to release the party’s revised platform in the coming month”, stating that if it fails to assure moderates, “we will leave and register a new organization not tarnished by racism and knee-jerk rhetoric.”

Mr. Adómczik states he is not worried of a split, and that his new platform, currently in development, will bring “great changes to Ostry and unite us under a independent republic.” The party establishment is yet to be swooned by the words, however.

President Muscat calls for a week of celebration after democratic opposition in the country is quashed

SANNAT - President Gelormo Muscat has today made his first public appearance of 2018 to give a speech declaring victory over the Free Republic of Aramas led by the country's underground democratic and socialist movements. The speech earlier today not only confirmed international suspicion that the civil war was coming to an end but also ended months of speculation as to the health and wellbeing of the president who was theorised to have been sidelined by the military or struck down with illness. Though fighting still continues between small democratic holdouts across the country; for the most part, official opposition to the Muscat regime has ended, with a number of high-profile military leaders surrendering, and the whereabouts of Ċensu Gabaretta unknown. Now attention will turn to the rebuilding of the country and the continuing conflict in the Abjad mountains against the Nation of Irsad. Though the beacon of liberty may have faded over Aramas, the struggle to wrestle the nation from the clutches of Muscat and his lackeys shall never end. For you cannot quash the will of the Aramasian people.

Muscat's appearance at the public speech in the capital of Sannat put an end to months of speculation that the President had been removed from power, assassinated, or was gravely ill. Other theories suggested Muscat's lack of public appearances was a measure aimed at preventing a terrorist attack on the president, similar to the one which claimed the life of his cousin last year. Within his speech delivered in front of crowds that had gathered outside of the presidential palace, Muscat talked of the great defeat the military had handed the 'dissident forces' within the nation. The President stated that amnesty would be shown to the remaining rebels if they laid down their arms and joined the fight against the Nation of Irsad. He also touched on the nation's path forward, the continuing struggle in the Abjad and how the government will begin rebuilding efforts across the nation, and attempt to rebuild diplomatic ties across the globe.

Attention now turns to what exactly the future holds for the nation of Aramas, or Aramatheria as it is otherwise known. Muscat's victory over the Free Republic is likely to be met with jubilation from his allies in Hergemoth and Cebregas. Nations which are both likely to prosper from the rebuilding effort that will begin soon. Though for modern Aramas to be successful, it will likely also need to court opinion from many of its former enemies. Relations with Balzunetta and the Araabyne are likely to be top of the agenda for Muscat in order to secure his frontiers; though vital trade agreements would likely follow. Easing tensions with the CDN is also likely to happen if Muscat wishes Aramas to return to economic prosperity, though this may be difficult, especially with Aquidneck being especially vocal of the Muscat government's actions in recent years. Being an international pariah, the route to normalisation will be a long and arduous one for Muscat, and a goal that may even prove impossible under his tenure.

It should also be noted that whilst the democratic opposition may have been crushed, the struggle in the Abjad mountains is likely to continue. The Nation of Irsad remains strong in its defensive positions in the mountains, with the militant Irsadists inflicting significant casualties on government forces. The conflict in this region is likely to take some time to come to an end. Although the government now maintains air superiority and can count on allied support, the trek up the mountains will leave the advancing military vulnerable and subject to severe casualties. Nevertheless, faced with the growing threat of militant Irsad across the globe, do not be surprised if some of Muscat's former enemies unite in an attempt to bring down the NoI. Though the Nation of Irsad continues to stand strong, with the government's victory against the FRA it is only a matter of time before they also win in the Abjad.

Ashiharan Army dispatches troops to border with Tangkuo; to 'reinforce existing Border Troops and ensure continued stability'

Following the arrival of elements of the armed forces of the State of Truth at Ashihara's western borders nine days ago, the situation at the crossings between Ashihara and the State of Truth-controlled territory has been cold at best and threatened to flare up into a potential conventional conflict at the worst.

Ashihara's western borders are regarded as one of the most militarised in the world, if not the most militarised border in the world. Crossing locations are few and far between, and the full length of the border is patrolled by Ashiharan Border Troops, responsible for defence of the border during wartime and the prevention of illegal crossing of the border for all purposes, including defection, infiltration, and smuggling of illegal goods.

The commander of the Border Troops, Gensui-Rikugun-Taishō Hirai Kazuo, placed a formal request to the Ministry of the Army to dispatch elements of the Ashiharan Army to reinforce the Border Troops, who fall under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs 'as soon as possible' on September 4th after an incident at Checkpoint 01-03 almost turned into a firefight between the Ashiharan Border Troops present and their State of Truth counterparts.

As authority over the Border Troops is disputed between the Ministry of the Army and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the circumvention of the traditional chain of command, which would have required Gensui-Rikugun-Taishō Hirai Kazuo to place the request to his superior, the Chūnagon responsible for oversight of the Ministry of Home Affairs who would in turn relay it to the Ministry of the Army's own Chūnagon who would ensure the order was carried out, the matter had to be brought to the personal attention of the Gichou, who ruled that the act of insubordination would go unpunished due to being 'a matter of severe national security' on the 6th of September, with the army units finally beginning movement to the border on the 7th.

The final assets of the Ashiharan Army deployed to the border arrived earlier on today, although neither the government or any Ministry involved has disclosed the precise number of troops or vehicles moved to the border, or indeed which formations have been moved, the Chūnagon for the Ministry of the Army stated that the forces were 'sufficient to easily repel any forceful incursion into Ashiharan territory by forces of the so-called State of Truth and launch a counter-offensive in reprisal.'

Ashihara does not recognise the State of Truth, and regards it as a subversive terrorist organisation due to suspected associations with now-defunct groups of internal dissidents. The border crossings remain closed.

Síomha Assassination Attempt Fails
Disgruntled PMC Supporters Suspected

During a public engagement at the mint in Aurharbwr a coordinated attempt on the Taoiseach's life was made yesterday evening at around 8:30pm local time. The Taoiseach had been visiting the mint to review changes to the national minting standards and to see the proposed new coins which will be rolled out as of October this year, and had just stepped onto a temporary stage for a public speaking engagement before the assembled staff of the mint when three gunshots were heard. During the initial panic which followed this first shooting a group of five armed individuals attempted to mount the stage and gun down the Taoiseach at close range.

The initial gunshots were fired from a fifth floor window overlooking the plaza where the event was taking place; however neither the shooter nor the weapon they used have yet been located leading some to speculate that they were a professional sniper supported by a highly organised group. Of the three rounds the shooter managed to fire only one struck the Taoiseach, in her left shoulder, after the third shot members of the Taoiseach's security team had identified the shooter's position and had opened fire on the window with automatic rifles preventing further sniper fire from that location.

The rush on the stage which followed involved five individuals armed with Brenner PL96 submachine guns and an assortment of handguns, however none of these assailants succeeded in reaching the Taoiseach or firing directly at her as members of the security team were by this time alert and in a weapons ready state. Two of the five assailants, a men and a woman, were gunned down by the Taoiseach's security team and fell on the stage proper, while a third man was shot dead by Garda Officer Conall MacIntyre who was subsequently shot dead by the remaining assailants. It is believed that a forth assailant was wounded during their escape after the shooting of Officer MacIntyre when they were intercepted by other Garda officers alerted by the shooting. As yet none of the assailants have been identified, however ballistics analysis of spent cartridge found on the scene is underway.

Taoiseach Síomha was rushed to hospital and has subsequently been described as being in a "serious, but stable" condition.

Hundreds of drug dealers arrested on army raids, connection with terror groups found

Today, it was revealed that a violent underworld war has broken out between different groups, which in the past few weeks has seen a rising body count over whom shall takeover the multi-billion rand industries of illegal cigarette, drug and nightclub protection rackets, and that traditional smuggling routes in Majula to Arabekh.

Over 300, including foreigners, were arrested by government troops with the assistance of Kataeb Fedayeen volunteers. What was puzzling amongst the arrested, are 40 people linked with various terror or rebel groups in predominately in Arabekh and even an individual with the State of Truth; all whom having pending execution convictions by their respective national courts. A group of Arstvini workers had reported increased movement of foreigners and constant fighting between them as back as one month and reports to attempt to recruit new members. On the ensuing assault, supported by APCs and jeeps - resulted to 12 deaths and another 26 wounded, 2 bystanders(mother and child) are reported to have been by stray bullets.

Numerous groups have been establishing themselves, even domestic terror groups want to engage in the lucrative drug trade since the economic liberalization policies. Human rights groups raised serious concerns about trials and the death row sentances on domestic terrorists, it was reported 13 people are pending execution until final pending; the authorities have released their identities with some tied to the Aramanthean Irsadic terror groups: Nation of Irsad. As for the foreigners, the government has asked foreign diplomatic envoys if they wish their extradition or allowance to the procedure. Government circles commented these are the first mass executions occuring for the first time since late-80's in due process.

Muscle recruitment drive in the past few months, from bordering the Arstvin border or the coast in recent years(specifically the last three years) has seen increasing trafficking of drugs, illegal cigarettes and alcohol with most of the funds given to various militias. Protests have asked the Popular Army to show force on this foreign funded gangs while counter-protests beg the government to refrain from excessive use of violence. The government is uneasy, until recently it was widely believed Oàgaden being a minor 'partner' in these illicit trades but it seems far from the truth. As part of the war, drugs are being flooded into the market in quantities never seen before and many warn this undeclared war might turn to a tit-for-tat between Oàgaden and foreign terror groups.

Slain Would Be Assassins Identified
Investigation Picks Up Steam

The three assailants who were killed attempting to assassination Taoiseach Síomha have been identified by the Garda as Virginia Cruach, Eamon Ui'Brienn, and Angus Ui'Comaghan. Each of them worked for a different PMC, however their ties to one another, beyond the fact that they attempted to assassinate the Taoiseach, are unknown. Virginia Cruach was a 34 year old former Marine sergeant who was in the employ of Dark Sun at the time of her death, Eamon Ui'Brienn was a 28 year old former army corporal who was in the employ of the Razor Wolves, and Angus Ui'Comaghan was a 42 year old former army marksman in the employ of ARM Security. All three of these companies are now being treated as suspect.

Altenburg, thousands of young Arstvinians aged between 18 and 30 have been leaving Arstvin in droves, mainly to neighboring Kagon and Oagaden in recent years. Last year alone, a staggering 50,000 people emigrated from Arstvin, the majority being this age range. A substantial loss of the national young population of Arstvin may have serious and direct impacts on its future economy, as young people are the new hope of the already really fragile Arstvinian economy. Many of these emigrants cite poverty and lack of work as reasons, providing criticism to the current administration.

If current trends continue, Arstvinian population will continue to rise, but much slower, as well as the economy suffering a major hit. Although the economic situation in Arstvin has gotten better in the past decade, it still lags far behind its neighbors Kagon and Oagaden, and many people seek low skilled employment, especially those between 18 and 30, in these countries. President Jan has promised to create more jobs and try to attract the emigrants back as well as rising the overall GDP per capita of Arstvin, which only stands at $352 nominally. During its peak in the 1980s, Arstvin's GDP per capita equaled to that of some Asuran countries.

President Jan has also reinstated that emigrants are always welcome back home if they ever wish to return in hopes of attracting them back home.

Many politicians have suggested the renovation and renewal of the border wall that once stood, however, local communities are against this, saying that the wall divides their lands, people and culture, and is therefore an evil plan. After only a year after its initial creation, Ömnöcore remains one of the most powerful corporations within Sükhbaatar. A publicly owned corporation with several private benefactors that get a share of the company’s profits, Ömnöcore is a mining corporation within the Ömnöduul District, and owns over 80% of the mining operations within the Ömnöduul District. The Ömnöcore Corporation has exclusively been mining coal in the first six months of its creation, has recently discovered large deposits of gold, silver, and rare earth elements.

At the beginning of August, the Ömnöcore Geological Research Office announced the discovery of Samarium and Neodymium within the Bayan Tu’men Region, and began mining operations which commenced immediately after the announcement. The recent production of Samarium and Neodymium introduced the production of Samarium Cobalt and Neodymium Iron Boron, by the Ömnöcore Element Sintering and Manufacturing Office.

After the announcement of the production of these two Rare Earth Magnets, Darkwater Irons scheduled a meeting on August 25th between several Darkwater Irons and Ömnöcore Mining representatives, mediated by the Head of the Department of Regional Economical Cooperation and Development, Dr. Jochi Borjigin-Onggirat to discuss the introduction of these two Rare Earth Magnets and partnership of Darkwater Irons. The meeting took place within the Ömnöcore Headquarters within Delgerkhangai with Ömnöcore accepting a 250 million dollar deal to create new facilities and factories within the Bayan Tu’men Region for the Ömnöcore Element Sintering and Manufacturing Offices in return for a 150 million dollar exchange to set up several Darkwater Irons facilities within Sükhbaatar and 100 million dollars worth of Samarium Cobalt, Neodymium Iron Boron, and several other Rare Earth Metals.

Darkwater Irons has been operating within Sükhbaatar since 1962, and is one of the oldest enterprises that has operated within Sükhbaatar, setting up facilities for DI Marine facilities during Chairwoman Yanjmaa Nemendeyen rule over Sükhbaatar during the Byambasüren—Yanjmaan Period. Ömnöcore was created as a corporation majorly held by the government with several different parts of the corporation, such as the Ömnöcore Regional Office of Tes, as privately owned.

Sükhbaatar - John Waihee inked a A$250 million dollar deal with the central Catai nation of Sükhbaatar and its Ömnöcore Mining group, agreeing to develop new facilities for the mining of rare earth metals. The deal, mediated by the Head of Sükhbaatar’s Department of Regional Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. John Borjigin-Onggirat, would allow Darkwater Irons exclusive rights to Samarium Cobalt, Neodymium Iron Boron, and several other Rare Earth Metals in the Bayan Tu’men Region.

“The move strengthens our presence in Sükhbaatar, providing [Darkwater] with the materials needed to develop products to market faster including our ARIELE system and various ship technologies,” Mr. Waihee said in a prepared speech today.

Mr. Waihee also announced that DI Kinetics would be opening a new plant in the Santmargats region of Sükhbaatar. The 130,000 square foot industrial facility will be used to build ARIELE technology and bring more than 1200 Darkwater jobs to the nation, including 500 high-tech jobs.

The news comes on the heels of Sükhbaatar’s growing presence in the regional stage. "DI Kinetics is negotiating with the government to outfit the Army with ARIELE systems," a senior Sükhbaatar commander who was privy to talks in recent days with senior Darkwater officials said, requesting anonymity as he was not authorised to speak publicly. Darkwater officials have yet to confirm this news.

Darkwater Irons has been operating in Sükhbaatar since 1962, and is one of the oldest foreign enterprises that has operated within Sükhbaatar employing as many as 9,000 people in 2017.

Shares of Darkwater Irons [RAE: DI] reacted positively on the news, gaining 1.1%, to close at A$193.55.

President Sabbagh signs off on repeal of Fahran's two decade old burqa ban
June 5th, 2018 - Iskander Hamdan, Senior Correspondent

Haqara, Fahran - President Mohammed Sabbagh signed the Religious Freedom Act of 2018 into law yesterday amid large-scale protests by student wings of the PNC, FSA and ASBPA, in what jubilant supporters of the coalition government called "a soaring win for freedom of expression." The contentious bill, passed on a mostly party-line vote after a tense two month standoff in the legislature, will effectively legalize the wearing of the hijab, burqa, and other religious garments by students on university campuses and by government employees in the workplace. This has been illegal in Fahran since the El Gheisari government passed the Secular State Act back in 1998.

Public reactions to the ban's repeal have been mixed, with the urban middle-class, students, and intellectuals opposed whereas the working poor and clerics have come out staunchly in support of Sabbagh, as one might expect given the role they played in his election last year. Civil liberty advocates have been likewise torn on this issue, some lauding the rescinding of the so-called burqa ban, others perceiving it as the first step in a program of Irsadization in what has been a mostly secular country since the Winter Intifada of 1996.

Opposition leaders have called the bill an egregious violation of the Second Arab Republic's constitutionally mandated separation of mosque and state and have even gone so far as to accuse Sabbagh and the IUP of abusing their mandate. The most robust criticism came from Rukhi Sunallah, the leader of FSA, who staged a seventy six hour filibuster against the Religious Freedom Act in the Majlis al-Nuwab, the nation's lesser legislative body. "The IUP came to power by promising to insure government accountability and welfare for the needy," Ms. Sunallah explained to a sullen crowd of supporters this morning, "And now they're choking up the legislature with social policies and attacking the fundamental pillars of our secular society."

President Sabbagh was quick to strike back. "We cannot have democracy without religious liberty," he maintained, "We cannot have a Fahrani nation without Irsad. It is our culture, our heritage, our light in the dark of the world. A government that persecutes believers, those who constitute the majority, for the sake of a philosophical abstraction is injudicious and illegitimate, most especially when such tyrannical policies represent a cultural imposition by the Asurans."

While protests had been occurring for months, they have intensified in the weeks leading up to the final vote on the Religious Freedom Act, with pro-secular and pro-Irsadic chants reverberating through many major cities until 6:00 AM this morning. Due to expectations that these hitherto peaceful protests could escalate into large-scale rioting, municipal governments in Haqara, Sulh, Ma'in, and two dozen other cities and townships across the nation have imposed a 9:30 PM curfew.

The coming weeks could see a stormier political climate in a country long notorious for its political turbulence.

Hegoalde, Brilliania After an short but exciting election season marked by radical changes in the Brillian political structure including the creation of new parties such as the Alliance of Young Democrats and the Our Homeland party, the final polls have been released by the National Electoral Agency of Brilliania.
The polls mark a new move to the right for Brillian politics, with the leftist parties being at their weakest point since 2000.
The results show a decrease of seats for the Labour Party, which lost 18 seats from the previous election and recieved just 32 seats and a record low 15,8% vote share, while the Young Democrats' first election resulted in the highest vote share in a democratic election in Brilliania, recieving 40,7% of the vote share and 81 seats.

Speaking during the election night, current Lehendakari Elexalde Haran stated that the election victory was a "massive victory for the Brillian people" and is looking forward for the coalition forming, as Elexalde is planning for a coalition of parties agreeing with his constitutional reform package which needs a two-thirds majority of the votes in the legislature for passing the package without a referendum.

The election night for the Democratic Assembly resulted in no gains or losses.
Party leader Szekeres Timea proposed a coalition with the Young Democrats and Our Homeland.

President Zahir condemns end of Burka Ban in Fahran

President Zahir today condemned the signing of the Religious Act by Fahran's Sabbagh administration, claiming that such legislation will send Fahran "back to a dark period of history" and was a step towards enforcement of mandatory Irsadic dress code in the country. She also advised Dayganis to not travel to Fahran unless it is necessary, citing both the Religious Freedom Act and fears expressed in news sources that there may be an outbreak of political violence in the country.

Under the Religious Freedom Act, hijabs, burkas, niqabs, and other religious headwear will be allowed to be worn in public institutions. Dayganistan has never enacted a ban on the hijab and has always allowed women to wear the hijab in all public institutions. Dayganistan has, however, outright banned the burka and niqab nationwide, seeing it as a relic of a bygone era and a violation of the rights of women. The allowance of burkas and niqabs in public institutions is what has specifically brought about condemnation by President Zahir. Criticism was also drawn over the Religious Freedom Act seeming to be an erosion of the separation of religion from the government and the public sphere, a principle which is deeply entrenched in the Daygani constitution.

In Dayganistan, 95% of the population supports a continued blanket ban on burkas and niqabs, and a small minority of those who support the ban believe it should extend to hijabs as well. An estimated 15-20% of women in Dayganistan wear the hijab. It is known that the burka is illegally forced upon women in some isolated rural communities, although President Zahir believes that this practice will end with improved access to education in these communities.

"Dayganistan will continue diplomatic and business relations with Fahran into the forseable future in spite of this condemnation," President Zahir said when addressed by the media. "However, we hope Fahran will change course and not allow creeping Irsadization to completely erode the boundary between mosque and state, between religious and political leader, and will resume its path to Irsadic secularism as best as it can."

Taoiseach Discharged from Hospital

Following what has been described as "minor surgery" to repair tissue damage the Taoiseach, Líadáin Síomha, has been discharged from hospital and is expected to make a complete recovery. Remarkably the rifle round failed to exit and remained stuck within the Taoiseach's shoulder, it has since been removed and provided as evidence for forensic examination by authorities in the hopes that the origin of the bullet used to identify the sniper and the parties who assisted in the organisation of the failed attempt. So far the investigating authorities, who are being directed by the intelligence services, have stated that the round used appears to be an unusual calibre but beyond this they have little preliminary information available.

In the interim the legislative has passed an emergency motion suspending the operational rights of all PMCs within tir Lhaeraidd and authorising the deployment of the armed forces to occupy known PMC offices and facilities. All PMC employees have been instructed to surrender their weapons, including those privately owned, and all PMCs have been ordered to hand over control of their own armouries to the military. This is the most definitive action yet taken by the government with regard to the ongoing Corporate War and PMC scandal and it is unclear whether these measures will become a permanent change in the law. At present the motion expires on 05 October 2018, but can be extended either by Executive approval, or by a further vote in the legislature.

In further news the fourth of the five assailants who attempted to mount the stage to fire directly at the Taoiseach from close range has been killed in an exchange of fire with Garda units. Garda SRF units were undertaking a number of simultaneous raids on the home and business addresses of a number of key suspects who have failed to hand themselves in this morning, when at the home address of Meryl Cochraine the occupants opened fire, fortunately the two Garda SRF officers who were wounded in the following exchange are expected to recover, however Cochraine and the other two occupants whose names have yet to be released, were killed. Cochraine was posthumously identified by witnesses and members of the Taoiseach's security detail as the fourth assailant.

itself from a changing Freedom Party?

A mere fourteen days after taking office as leader of the separatist Freedom Party, Wacłôw Adómczik has faced a split within his party, after Adóm Szlązak and Macéj Dahl, two centrist members who opposed Adómczik in the leadership race, have announced their resignation, having claimed they have registered a new party with Elections Navack earlier today.

The new party, named Reform and claiming the letter E for running in next year’s election, will feature both Szlązak and Dahl as joint leaders, under what they have referred to as a “compassionate and pragmatic platform”. Espousing a balanced budget, tackling the alcohol and suicide crisis in Ostry, and calling for a referendum on independence, it is clear the new party is trying it’s best to disassociate from Adómczik and the Freedom Party, and it might work.

With former Regional Governor Jérzy Hagen sitting as an independent since August, Szlązak was the only Member of the Regional Assembly representing Freedom in the chamber. However, his departure has left Adómczik’s clique with no remaining representation and with Reform gaining one seat. This situation will mean little come May, but it already has helped the new party gain some exposure and even some cash, as Szlązak and Dahl proudly held up a novelty check for ʂ50,000, representing the amount raised by the newfound supporters of the party, excluding its stipend for being in the Regional Assembly.

In response, Wacłôw Adómczik stated that having the centrists out of the Freedom Party “will actually mean we will stick to our principles and values. Reform will, quite ironically, fight against any true reform towards an Ostric republic and support our corrupt status quo against actual reformation by our party.” However, Macéj Dahl responded later today that Adómczik was “talking nonsense, as usual.”

New Developments in Assassination Investigation
Ammunition and Firearm Used Identified

The investigators responsible for uncovering the culprits behind the attempted assassination against the Taoiseach have today announced that they have identified the ammunition and the type of firearm used by the sniper who fired the initial shots. The rifle slug removed from the Taoiseach's shoulder was immediately recognised as having a highly unusual calibre and nature, with a strange tip described as a 'drill bit like shape' by the surgeons who removed it. Subsequent analysis of the slug identified it as being fired from a rare 5.72mm rifle - a highly unusual calibre for ammunition which is not currently in mass production by any known arms manufacturer; only three firearms are known to have been designed to fire a cartridge in this calibre, with only one of those firearms matching the qualities identified through ballistic analysis of the ammunition.

Though the precise design of the rifle used has not been released to the public details have been confirmed. The firearm in question is an experimental weapon which never entered widespread distribution and was designed by Brenner Ballistics under contract from the military. Extensive testing of the rifle found it to be insufficient for military use, though the details of why this was found to be the case remain classified. Furthermore only fifty working models of the rifle were ever made, ten of which are still in the possession of the military a further eighteen are confirmed to have been destroyed due to or following the rigorous testing they underwent, six remain with Brenner Ballistics. This leaves sixteen rifles unaccounted for. Brenner Ballistics have come forward stating that they are cooperating fully with the investigation and it was through their ballistics research lab that the ammunition was identified.

Meanwhile further details of the equipment used by the assailants who stormed the stage have been released. The four who have now been accounted for (all now dead) were wearing standard ballistic vests and grey combats. The equipment worn on the day was obtained from the same source however information on that source, though known to authorities, has yet to be made public. The firearms used are all mass produced models and fired standard ammunition; through tracking of the serial numbers on the weapons authorities hope to trace them back and find out from where the assailants obtained them.

Darkwater Irons Strikes Major International Deal

On the heels of a multi million dollar deal with the government of Sükhbaatar and its Ömnöcore Mining group, John Waihee announces a massive deal with the central Catai nation. Darkwater Irons announced on Monday that its land systems arm, DI Kinetics, has won two contracts worth A$1 billion from the Sükhbaataryn People’s Armed Force through an international tender, to supply its new generation Spider Light Strike Vehicles and Terrex Series Infantry Carrier Vehicles. Delivery is expected to take place over 2019-20, supplying 800 LSVs and 300 Terrex Systems, and should be completed by 2024.

"We are extremely pleased that Sükhbaataryn People’s Armed Force has selected the DI’s Spider LSV and Terrex ICV Series. HEGOALDE, Brilliania While Mister Haran likes to keep his international standing intact by not giving a shit about the entire presidential fleet and instead driving his personal 11-year old car, he has damaged several things including his brain cells, his liver, his car and a Crylantian diplomatic personnel vehicle.
After drinking several low-quality Harrobi-brand beers, he decided the best thing to do was drive back to home in his trustworthy Kaiet car. Or at least, he tried to, as he recieved a police escort and a hefty fine after ramming his vehicle onto a Crylantian diplomatic personnel vehicle. At least, being the humble idiot that he is, he decided to pay the entire costs of the damage to the vehicle in cash to the Crylantian embassy the following day. That's a lot of 20.000 Florrin bills...
