i'm more with the thought that if you don't develop and build a nation of your own whether through roleplay, factbook writing or issues answering and instead engage in some pseudointellectual-ass debate which has no value whatsoever in itself you shouldn't be on a site called nationstates

NSG does, in a sense, hold relevance to this site, being a place to debate politics in an inherently political game. Moreso, it gives people a relatively cordoned-off place to vent and occasionally partake in civil discussion. With NSG to house much of the pent-up vitriol it is less prone to spilling forth onto other parts of the site. Nevertheless, I am guessing you were referring to NSG-only accounts?

And ironic edginess is only mostly funny and sometimes tiresome.

The whole subforum, despite being intended to be a sanctuary of intellectual debate, has really become a hive of NS Summerites overstaying their welcome and people who turned 13 last week pretending to understand advanced concepts that typically take a Master's degree or at least several years of private research to fully comprehend.

I only go there to be edgy and occasionally attempt debates with the few others who actually know how to conduct themselves online. Thankfully, my Transhumanism thread is mostly tumor-free so far.
