Kotaharapan—After a short recession, Arkinesia's economy is now the strongest it has been in the nation's history.
Today, the University of Arkinesia College of Economic Sciences released its latest data on the state of Arkinesia's economy. For the first time in national history, Arkinesia is running a trade surplus. It has record low unemployment rates. Per-capita GDP is at a 30-year high.
Several people we interviewed on the street expressed hope for tomorrow.
One formerly unemployed man, who identified himself as Gary, told us "Yeah, it's pretty sweet havin' a job and all. Economy's lookin' better and I am hoping this keeps up."
Although still somewhat in recovery, the Arkinesian economy appears to be pulling itself out of the pits.
