INTRODUCTION | RULES & THREADS | ORF ORBAT | APPLICATION

The Order of Strategically Aligned Nations' (OSAN) main purpose is to protect and ensure the safety and freedom of the global community through a various range of military and political actions. OSAN promotes the values of economic freedom and democratic systems within its member states, as well as inter-alliance security and military cooperation in order to build up a mutual trust of one another within the alliance, and in order to build up a strong buffer against foreign intrusion in the near future. OSAN will always seek a diplomatic resolution to any crisis at hand first, however if diplomacy fails then OSAN will unite together and use force in order to reach a diplomatic solution. OSAN allows its member-states and their military's to operate freely without much pressure from the High Council, however, OSAN also has a united military force (OSAN Response Force - ORF) which has the capacity to act on behalf of the entire alliance. The alliance is also committed to the collective defence of its members, under Article 5, an attack against one member of the alliance is an attack against all members of the alliance. The ideologies of Socialism and Communism are strictly prohibited within OSAN as we believe they do not promote our values of freedom, fair governance and justice - however, nations that only practice minor or mild forms of Socialism may be considered, no promises. To conclude, OSAN stands as a beacon of light in a very dark world, fighting to ensure the free world remains safe against oppressive tyrants and dangerous ideologies.

• Applicant country must be a somewhat democratic state
• Applicant country must have a stern commitment to freedom
• Applicant country must not be Socialist or Communist (or a member of any 'Red Organizations')
• Applicant country must be a modern tech, realistic country with some military understanding

Further Information:

Upon your acceptance to OSAN, your state will be represented fully by your chosen delegate and will be given a place within the OSAN General Council. The OSAN General Council is similar to the UN General Assembly and provides the basis for intergovernmental relations between OSAN member-states. You are not required to make a contribution to the OSAN Response Force, however, contributing a force of 2000 or more combatant personnel will earn your state a position of the OSAN Military Council - which will require a 2nd delegate from your country. Please note that OSAN is slightly inspired by SACTO and the IFC, but is not in any way, shape or form a rip-off of said alliances.

I think if it was turned into an OSAN mission, we wouldn't deploy the ORF but rather our individual armed forces under OSAN banner, right? I think ill start writing up on the IC about my forces arriving in North Colishi tomorrow (seems like a realistic enough time period for them to arrive in, since I did announce support like last week). Realistically, its the first test of OSAN strength. The only set back we may face is the All Patriotic Peoples Front, I mean they are fighting for North Colishi but they are essentially going to start a genocide, its going to look a tad bit bad if we are supporting them. Although I'm sure if we just topple the Communist insurgents and disarm the APPF quickly enough, no one will notice. Anyway my troops are going to arrive on the Northern coast, mostly marines.

The only objection I have to Bahtar joining OSAN is their use of chemical weapons on the CLF. Although we could make a case that they are being used purely on insurgents effectively with no civilians being harmed what so ever, which does remove some of the 'OMFG YOU'RE USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS' side of things. Bahtar is a good fighter, would be useful under OSAN. But yes, im going to collaborate with North Colishi (nearly done setting up the puppet/giving a friend ownership) to set up an NC-OSAN joint command so we can start sending troops in under OSAN banner, but yeah. I'm thinking about a strategic air campaign before the CLF and their commie allies get too strong, the last thing we need is them getting SAM systems because ICly airstrikes against CLF positions are very effective, the Chkalovskian and Bahtari Air Force's are making mince meat of the CLF using them.

I approve of this message. The UCI as a whole does not play an anti insurgent role in NC so it has to be converted into an OSAN thing. It will also give ua an excuse to do nasty things which our fellow UCI cohorts are not very fond of.
