MoD: Unauthorized aircraft over Beruiti will be shot down. Stasnov strengthens presence in the region.

An announcement published by the Ministry of Defence states that any aircraft flying over Beruiti without authorisation will be shot down. More military forces headed to Beruiti and the general region.

In an announcement publised today by the Ministry of Defence, the Stasnovan military stated that any military aircraft flying in the national airspace of the Islamic Republic of Beruiti without authorisation by the Beruiti National Committee of Security, the legitimate national government, will be engaged and shot down for violating the airspace of a sovereign state. This probably comes in light of the shot down of a Stelandian F-15 Sea Eagle by a Beruitian Surface-to-Air Missile site of uknown type, and the announcement of Carsodonian support for the rebels. The Ministry of Defence also stated that the Stasnovan military acts in accordance to the policy of the legitimate Beruiti government.

The Ministry of Defence also announced that the Stasnovan Armed Forces will be strengthening their presence in the immdedeate combat area, as well as the general region around the Islamic Republic of Beruiti, to ensure the country's sovereignty. However, it was not made clear what kind of forces will be dispatched to the region, likely due to secrecy reasons. It also wasn't stated were exactly in the "general area around the Islamic Republic of Beruiti" these forces are to be deployed, and wether or not they will immedeately interfere in the combat operations of the Stasnovan Armed Forces in Beruiti.

In other news, the first Stasnovan combat flights over Beruiti started in the early hours of the morning, yesterday. The Stasnovan Zmeya-class destroyer off the Beruiti coast, the SRNS Svetovoy, also used its cruise missiles against unspecified rebel targets in the Beruiti mainland. According to the Revolutionary Air Force representative: "Several Free Beruiti and New People's Army targets were engaged by different VVS flights. Additionally, cruise missiles from the SRNS Svetovoy struck a number of rebel positions earlier today. These were only the first of more missions to come."

Premier Announces Intentions to Deploy Military Contingent to Beruiti
MoD and Premier confirmed that the Cydonian Military is operating in Beruiti in support of the Beruiti Government and VasPac.

Beruitian Archipelago, Beruiti- Premier Zoric announced earlier today that the Cydonian Military has deployed a force into Beruiti to aid and support the Islamic Government with its fight against the Free Beruiti and New People's Army Opposition. The Premier has said that the reasoning behind this decision was due to the fact that the opposition is attempting to destabilize the region and Beruiti itself with its acts of terrorism. He cited the bombing of Rozi Veteran's Hall as an example of the Free Beruiti's intentions in the country.

The Premier went on to explain that "Beruiti is in the middle of a vicious civil war and without our support, the stability and order that the government holds will crumble and as a result we will see an internal struggle for power by various factions and Al-Quaria extending its influence into Beruiti is a risk that the Cydonian Government doesn't want to take. I announced earlier that we would be a government that fights for freedom, civil governments, and against terrorism. We have worked hard fighting the terrorism that exist in our country to our north, now we must begin to stop external influences from possibly further reaching our country."

The Ministry of Defense further confirmed the Premier's statements saying that a contingent of the Air Force and Navy was operating in the VasPac ally, Bahtar. The backbone of the Air Force Contingency consists of Su-30MKC and Su-24 Ground Attack aircraft. These are supported in the air by Su-30 aircraft and a A-50 AWACs that provides real time support and to the fighters and attackers of any threats in the air.

It has not been confirmed that Cydonian Ground Troops are fighting in Beruiti but several rumors arose that Specijalne units could be operating inside Beruiti. The MoD has declined to comment on the subject.

King vows support for Free Beiruiti

You're watching SBS-1. Interrupting this programme, the MoD has publicly announced that Alec Mac an Tuairneir, son of Earl Gospatrick of Highcastle, has been shot down over Beiruiti during a routine operation. The Flight Commander was described as one of the nation's most promising pilots and a friendly and warm person. At Anderson Air Force base today, HM King Siegfried had this to say, "To the Freedom Fighters of Free Beiruiti and to the government of Beiruiti, we will not stand while freedom is squashed, we will not stand while the people of Beiruiti are killed by an oppressive government. The Stelandic people's are united in saying that the Beiruitians will pay for this. If you're out there Alec, we will get you back home no matter what it takes."

The F15 Sea Eagle Flt. Cmdr. Turner was flying was shot down early yesterday morning by an unknown missile. Squadronmates suggested that Turner was only able to detect the missile at the last second before impact. The plane plummeted towards the ground. Turner was confirmed to have ejected, though it is unknowm whether he survived the flames, or where he has landed. War Correspondent Anthony Ahbabovic is here with more information from the SRS Irefutable destroyer. Anthony, how's the situation over in the Silurian Ocean?

"Well Don, as you can see behind me is the SRS Indomitable. For the past 2 hours I've counted over 100 take-offs and landings. The Stelandic Navy has reinforced the Second Fleet in the Silurian Ocean with 6 corvettes and 2 destroyers. Helicopters and ELINT aircraft have been reported to be a mere 30 kilometers from Beiruiti, scanning the land and trying to pick up a distress beacon from Flt. Cmdr. Turner. The seas have been quite rough lately, and air operations have been suspended for the time being. I'll keep you posted with more.

Largest Military Drills in Suid-Alfashir Begin!

Today, the Defence Ministry gave the go ahead for the largest military drills in Suid-Alfashir to begin. Called 'Exercise Suid Sabre', it involved the large majority of the 25,000 Professional Force of the Security Forces, while also calling up an extra 30,000 men from the Reserves and the Commando Force. While the exercises were justified as being a simple training exercise to make sure the Security Forces are just as capable as they were the previous year, it is thought that it was in preparation for a rumoured intervention in the civil war stricken country in Beruiti.

The exercise itself involved much of the Armoured Corps, and their trusty Renoster MBT, as the Artillery Corps supplied close fire support. This was an alleged exercise to test the effectiveness of artillery supported armoured advances.

Also involved in the training was the Air Support Corps of the Army, which was used to transport small units of the Infantry to deal with 'threats' (in reality it was Commando Volunteers in black face in with lesser western arms). It was a very public display of the popular Security Force tactic of Fireforce, where a unit of three transport helicopters (or the ever useful Sheeran Lugtreines) to carry small airmobile forces to a combat zone and deploy them quickly before 'buzzing off'.

Also spotted were the Vaaler Valks, the supersonic aircraft of air superiority used by the Secuirt Forces. The Vaalks are part of the popular 'Supersonic Division' of the Airforce, which comprises of 14 squadrons of supersonic aircraft streching from the Valk to the Vaaler Aasvoël.

These exercises by themselves would be worrying, however mixed in with the current climate of war mongering on the Alfashir continent, leads to a very intense and dark future.

An attack initiated by Free Beruiti Operatives and an alleged Grozav Iniman soldier on the military base occurred. Mistari, located in the south on a desert plain surrounded by a few hills. The Free Beruiti Operatives attacked at midnight, and killed several soldiers, and managed to shoot the commander, Lieutenant Safar. The attack was initiated allegedly by the death of a private by a unknown gunner, which then began the ambush. The attack stopped, and then continued after an attempted march by the Beruiti Military. However their use of tanks, which initially helped, also helped in breaking their morale. Out of the 8 tanks in Mistari, only 2 managed to survive. Despite levying heavy damage on Free Beruiti, the soldiers broke and fled, with the exception of the Lieutenant and a handful of soldiers. They attempted to make a last stand against Free Beruiti before being pushed into the barracks, in which they were burned alive. Their last words were unknown.

Soldiers who escaped the bloodshed alleged that there were 6 soldiers in armor that was significantly different than that of Free Beruiti, and held weapons of better tier of weaponry. Free Beruiti was said to have taken the last of the weapons, and to have burned down the camp. These reports remain unconfirmed however.

The weapons that were used by the Free Beruiti Operatives were imported from Grozav Inima, where Free Beruiti and the Democratic People's Republic of Beruiti, a claimant of the government of Beruiti, is headquartered in Verăglia. The Executive President and the Supreme Leader released a statement about the involvement of this.

"This is foreign imperialism to an extent, and is simply pushing for this civil war to be more than a civil war. This is not a total war, this is a war for Beruiti to fight and for Beruiti to win. This is not Grozav Inima's war, and it never was." said Madani Nasir Nassar in a public media statement to the Balehasayan Telegraph.

"A stain on Beruiti's soil, these foreigners are parasites waiting to try and take a slice out of Beruiti. These foreigners are violating Beruiti, they're spitting on her, and they're desecrating us. We, Beruiti, are the Eternal Beacons of Light! We shall not back down!" Hayta Sindi, a portion of her speech in an address to the National Committee of Security.

"They might as well ask for Zaryanthia", Hayta joking said, which was followed by a wave of laughter by the Committee. Hayta delivered a speech that detailed a strategy to defeat Free Beruiti. She had stated the plan, "calls for the action taken by Beruiti and her allies". She called for training and re-equipment of the military and the revitalization of the ill-funded training systems.

In the last part of her speech, she announced that a nearby village of Rozi, named Dhira, has been taken over by Free Beruiti; and that in 5 days the Third Balehasayan Military Parade will be taking place, where many people of Beruiti, including herself and Madani Nasir Nassar. The island Dhira is a small island encompassed at the depression of an island, and was reported to have about 100 villagers, before being taken over by Free Beruiti 15 days ago. Most of the civilians were either killed by Free Beruiti or fled to Rozi.

In other News:

Grozav Inima, in an act tantamount to declaring a proxy war in Beruiti, stations assets in it's allied apartheid state, Qajan, for, "assist in any necessary defensive actions". Grozav Inima has also "hoped" the press would not find out. Beruiti speculates that Grozav Inima is stationing aerial assets in order to keep a watchful eye in the situation of Beruiti.

The Socialist Federal Union of Republika Srpska, with cooperation of the National Committee of Security, has announced it's support for Beruiti, and has launched their first air squadrons into Beruiti Air Space, which have stated to attack any transportation and cargo ships that are to bring supplies to Free Beruiti or to the New People's Army that belong to Grozav Inima and/or Greater Allidron, and is based currently in the island of Rozi.

The Union of Socialist Republic of Stasnov has announced their military support with the cooperation of the National Committee of Security. They, however, have not pledged full support due to their looks on the theocratic states, such as the Islamic Republic. However they have, along with Republika Srpska, have established control of the aerial space over Beruiti.

Stelandic Bombers flew over Beruiti, and were shot down by government forces after an unauthorized bombing of a civilian barn near the city of Balehas. The barn was destroyed and the remnants of what was in the barn are unclear, however the Stelandic Aircraft Patrols have organized patrol circuits off the coast of Beruiti. Beruiti has declared that should Stelandia continue, Beruiti will consider Stelandia military forces as completely hostile and will instate a policy of "shoot first, ask questions later"

Sde Dov to send humanitarian aid to Beruiti

Sde Dov City- In a press conference of the Department of Foreign Affairs earlier this morning, Foreign Affairs Secretary Hamid El-Nasr announced that Sde Dov would be sending humanitarian aid to war-torn Beruiti. As part of the relief efforts, members of the Sde Dovian Army Corps of Engineers as well as 800 doctors and aid personnel would be sent to Beruiti. He also reiterated that Sde Dov would remain a neutral party in the conflict, and that dialogue is needed as the situation, saying that Beruiti could become a "pressure cooker of instability."

"All sides in this conflict must sit down and talk in order to resolve this conflict. If this state of instability continues at this rate, Beruiti could become a pressure cooker of instability, with terror groups like Al-Qaria could capitalize on this conflict and rise up. As such, Sde Dov is willing to host talks to mediate in this conflict."

Beruiti has been locked in a state of war since Free Beruiti forces declared war against the ruling regime last April 23. The liberal Free Beruiti forces aim to overthrow the Islamic government led by Hayta Sindi. The conflict has escalated with the involvement of Stasnovan, Serbian and Bahtari forces on the side of the government. They are also supported diplomatically by Cydonia and Gorbatov. On the other hand the Free Beruiti forces are supported by the Grozav Inimans, Qajan, the Great South-Alfashir Republic, Stelandia and Carsodonia.

The use of Sde Dovian airbases by Stasnovan Revolutionary Air Force Tupolev-22s in the war has caused some controversy, with Sde Dovian National Front MP Arnold Sanchez raising concerns during a session of Parliament last Monday, saying that it would breach Sde Dovian neutrality in the conflict. The Foreign Secretary quickly rebuffed these remarks, stating that the usage of Sde Dovian airbases by Stasnovan warplanes is within the limits of existing agreements.

"We will continue to let Stasnovan warplanes use Sde Dovian airbases. As long as they are within the bounds of existing agreements, we have no problems."

The Department of Foreign Affairs has issued an advisory to all Sde Dovian citizens in Beruiti to report with the Sde Dovian Embassy in Zaryanthia and prepare for a possible evacuation. All non-essential travel to Beruiti has also been discouraged, with the threat level for Beruiti being increased to Level 3, two levels before a full evacuation is necessary. Assets of the Sde Dovian Air Force are on standby to evacuate Sde Dovian citizens when the time comes.

Yutlaka secured by Mavizeran forces alongside large parts of northern Zjarkastan

Yutlaka The Zjarkastani city of Yutlaka was secured early this morning after several days of intense fighting. Mavizeran forces have finally confirmed that the city of completely clear of Zyukala forces and that no civilians have been harmed in the fighting. The Zyukala government of Zjarkastan has released several statements claiming that the Mavizeran soldiers had killed massive amounts of civilians in the city but has released no proof to back up his claims. The Mavizerans took relatively light casualties in the fight for the city, especially when compared to the number of Zyukala fighters killed in the battle. Zjarkistani civilians have tried to protest the Mavizeran invasion and have even openly attacked Mavizeran troops. So far, a reported 50 armed civilians have been killed while attacking Mavizeran troops after the fighting ended this morning. 200 Zjarkastanis have been arrested after attempts to blockade roads, attack soldiers, and commit other crimes.

Mavizeran forces have also secured much of northern Zjarkastan which mainly consists of small villages scattered across the mountainous region. Mavizeran troops encountered light resistance and have already begun fighting inside of the city of Komonovo. Mavizeran troops are also pushing towards the outskirts of the city of Goxyizonyi. Both cities are very strategic locations. Whoever controls those two cities controls all of the west. Troops have also landed outside of Alibonovo and have begun fighting in a small port town outside of the city. Their goal is most likely to secure an area for ships to land more men and equipment and then begin an attack on the city. A bombing campaign of Zyukayuni began late last night and has decimated military targets within the city. It is likely that the Mavizeran military will soon begin an invasion of the city.

Reports of Mavizeran ships outside of Depogoyi from Zjarkastani civilians have surfaced and have led many to believe that a new front will soon be opened up in the south. Depogoyi is home to the oil fields of Zjarkastan. If the city was secured by the Mavizerans, the Zyukala government would lose it's only source of oil. Following the reports of Mavizeran ships nearby the city Zyukala soldiers have been flooded into the city and have begun patrolling everywhere both inside and outside of the city.

The Zyukala government has issued more pleas for international involvement, claiming that the Mavizerans have slaughtered civilians within Zjarkastan and will continue to do so if they are not stopped. The looming thread of a long and bloody war and a huge refugee crisis will likely provoke another nation into joining the conflict.

LUEPOLA AND CARAQ UNION CONCLUDE ECONOMIC TALKS, FINALIZE TRADE DEAL

Sakaban, Caraq Union - After a series of talks and negotiations, numerous officials from the Luepolan and Caraqi governments, including Caraqi trade minister Fuaad Husain and Luepolan Vice President Polina Pritanskaya, have come together to sign an agreement in which all existing tariffs between Luepola and the Caraq Union will be abolished. In addition, regular exports of various goods from Luepola to the Caraq Union will begin, including: agricultural products such as soy beans, wheat, barley, walnuts, and apples; chemicals such as chlorine, ammonia, silicon, and numerous polymers; and technology products, including Luepolan-manufactured cellphones, computers, copper wiring, fiber optics, and microchips. Luepola will also help fund the planned upgrade of dock terminals at the Caraqi port of Sakaban, and will contribute funding and possibly personnel to the construction of infrastructure south of Sakaban, as part of a large-scale Caraqi project to urbanize the area surrounding it. In return, the Caraq Union has agreed to export large amounts of oil and petroleum, as well as many types of raw minerals, to Luepola at a significantly reduced price.

“The signing of this trade deal says great things about the future of the relationship between the Luepolan Federation and the Caraq Union,” said the Caraqi ambassador to Luepola, Naazil Basha, speaking positively of the deal. “I am hopeful that our countries’ collective goals and dedications will help foster an era of mutual prosperity and the birth of a century of cooperation between the Caraq Union and other likeminded nations.” he said, addressing his people.

Vice President Pritanskaya reverberated these sentiments, stating, "There is unfortunately widespread poverty and instability in the Alfashir region. The Caraq Union, however, is on a very effective path to eliminating poverty within its borders and could soon become a powerful stabilizing force within the region. I, along with the Luepolan government and people, am very honored and excited that we may now more effectively aid the Caraqi Union in this process, and we are thankful to have another valuable trade partner.

Caraqi citizens seem to view the new trade agreement favorably, as the agreement will stand to benefit the Caraqi populace as a whole. Below is a sample tweet which reads, "[I'm] very glad to hear about the new trade deal. President Bousaid is very wise to work with the Luepolans."

Rumors have begun of Caraqi and Luepolan cooperation extending even further, to possibly include arms deals, which the Caraq Union may benefit from, given that it neighbors Beruiti, a nation significantly opposed to the Caraq Union ideologically. Additionally, extremist groups roam free in the mountainous south of the Caraq Union, and the Caraqi Army would be better able to take on said groups if armed with Luepolan weaponry. While the Caraqis have built a respectable economy, the mountains hold vast amounts of untapped wealth, in the form of raw minerals, that would significantly bolster the Caraqi economy if miners could access the mountains without fear of attack by terrorists. Whether or not this trade agreement will be amended to include arms, or whether or not a separate arms deal may come to fruition, is yet to be seen.

Taking the stage of the week-long Annual Open Conference of the Caraqi Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party in Dhul kadad with thunderous applause in his wake, the wise President Saleem Bousaid spoke with passion about the great leap forward the Caraq Union has made under his leadership. "Under the all-knowing eye of the Ba'ath Party, this nation, led by the Arab people and their God, have made undoubtedly tremendous progress from where we were over a decade ago. I remember the time in which this nation was hungry, desolate and dejected. We felt like we had no future. However, through belief in God, hard work and the dedication to the pan-Arabist will, we have succeeded in building this union to great honour and respect."

As a part of his "nation first" policy, Bousaid touched upon the mass armament of the Caraqi Armed Forces in the wake of rising global tension. Discussing the events in Beruiti and the rise of brutal terrorist organizations in Altar, the President said he would be "totally willing" to pursue the "unremitting use of military force to destroy terrorism, wherever it may be, as these people disgrace the name of God and the prophet Muhammad and seek to obliterate their nation's people through the implementation of the dangerous and unholy ideology of Communism."

"As a part of our recent trade deal with the Luepolan Federation, and potential deals with likeminded nations such as Elesar or Tennstedt, the Caraq Union will receive the armaments and materials it needs to construct and arm an unrivaled military presence in Alfashir," Bousaid proclaimed amongst deafening applause. "As such, we must expand our coastal infrastructure to meet the demands of these deals. Our ports must expand, particularly in Sakaban, Dhul kadad, and Minsafa. We will construct immense facilities away from the cities to bolster our economic and military might; to store equipment, materials and troops. This nation must industrially revolutionize - and I will lead the effort."

The Caraqi Engineer and Architectural Society quickly reacted to the announcement, praising it as "important for the economical future of this union. Everyone in the CEAS thanks the great President Bousaid for allocating resources to these paramount projects that will serve generations." Early estimates have put infrastructural expansion costs in the billions, but oil and mineral revenues from trade, foreign investment and loans will permit the projects to go through - according to the National Office of Infrastructure. "There is no doubt that this is a vast and possibly difficult project to achieve in half a year," said a spokesman for the office. "however, I believe that the will of the Caraqi people, of the President, and of God, we can achieve anything we set our mind to."

Streitkräfte begins large-scale military exercises
Largest exercise in years- United Left protests

Eckestadt, Tennstedt - The countryside of costal Eckestadt, Tennstedt has been the scene of Tennstedt's largest military exercises since the 1900's in a move that the Hebstregen Castle, the miltary headquarters of the Tennstedten military, says will strengthen the national defense and prepare Tennstedt's ground forces for combat in the battlefields of the 21st Century.

Following a recent defense pact made with Caraq, the Streitkrafte mobilized approximately 16 ships from the Meereskrafte, the Bodenmacht's 6th Panzer Division "Grundstein", the 2nd Infanterie "Speerspitze"', an airborne unit; the Meeresinfanterie's 2nd Infanterie Division "Dreizack", and the 1st and 3rd Wings of the Luftwaffe. The units are participating in amphibious operations, urban warfare, armored warfare, air superiority, among other tactics.

"These exercises are designed to allow our fighting men practical training to counter the threats of the real, modern world." A spokesperson for the Hebstregen Castle said in a press release. "As the world around us adapts, so too must our military to defend us from within and without."

The United Left, the opposition to the overwhelmingly popular Conservative Party in the Leitungsgremium, Tennstedt's parliament, has called for an end to the "unnecessary" and "fruitless" operations. "There is no [need] for these exercises," Dorthea Makel, a member of the Größerkammer, said on Twitter. "..useless and hostile." General praise has come from most other members of the parliament, including nearly all former military members.

"These exercises go to show that the Tennstedten Streitkrafte will be prepared for many years to come." Chancellor Elias Schwarze said in a release Tuesday. "We will stand tall with our allies and against our enemies in the years to come."

The presidential election is in a mere few days, and it seems the people have universally decided what they want, to be rid of the established politicians and in with new leaders with little political background. Notably, under Istvan Adler's leadership, the Republic of Grozav Inima Party has found itself in third place in the polls, a place it has not occupied since the 1980 elections. Henrescu and Bălan attended an even in the Capital today, in preparation for the historic election, the event opened with a symphony playing the national anthem, and parades of cavalrymen, a tradition of over 250 years. What followed were rousing speeches by the two presumptive candidates, one relying on the people's sense of patriotism, the other on their faith.

Later that night, pre-voting stations open across the country, and voting for the election officially began, not to end until next Sunday. Political analysts reportedly remain stunned at the poor performance of the Republican Party, who seem to have the most apathetic supporters of any political party, with only 7% of those polled saying they would be excited to see the Republican Party win the election. The performance of the Wacel National Party has also shocked political pundits, who had slated either the Republican or Social Liberal Party to be the primary opponents of Mr. Bălan in the race to the presidency.

Rumours of leadership schisms within the Republican party have also begun to emerge, and Republican politician Olivér Bodrogi has expressed his intention to contest leadership of the party after the election is over, with some members of the party saying that a bid for leadership to come earlier, as the Party begins to panic over deteriorating opinion polls.
