Sorry, I seem to have let this slip. Busy couple weeks. I'm at a loss though as to how to continue. First, how much time has passed since Jorvi applied at the warehouse job? Is it still the same day? Also, I just don't know where to go from this point. He doesn't seem to be able to get an under the table job in the straight-laced Burg, or he doesn't have the local connections to do so, maybe. The word is out now to the authorities that he's ambling around somewhere nearby, so maybe he'll just get caught and thrown in jail and that will be the end of it?
Not seeing many alternatives here.

OK, thank you for clarifying that. It's a goal to work towards. ICly though, I think that he won't trust that he won't be in a lot of trouble with Auroran authorities for slipping in illegally, so he won't trust that he could seek asylum. Not right away, anyway. He will probably hit rock bottom not being able to get a job, be starving, do something desperate and then plead his case.

He had a partially successful career in the Imperial Rarstotzkan Marines until the financial collapse. During the financial collapse the Rarstotzkan imperial government started destroying civil and political rights in the name of creating better economy, during this crackdown his parents were killed during riot in his hometown of Melkonov. He decided to flee his country after a riot that left his house burned down. He gathered his meagre amount possessions and fled to wherever the wind took him. He ended up in a small town called Barentsburg.

He was on border patrol duty on the NCSU border when he met Eleanor, at first, they became close friends, then that evolved into love, and that evolved further to marriage. He was 34 at the time, and the NCSU was starting to settle down and stop warring, due to this, he was given the permanent leave. A year later, his twin sons would be born into the world, but the NCSU was starting to refuel its war engine, because of this reason, they decided to leave the country, and they landed in the safe haven of Barentsburg.

Bio:

Elizabeth Natasha Torres was born on July 27, 1992 to a family of farmland owners that had a farming business since the first days of occupation of Palmyrion by Spaniards. She lost her parents at the early age of 14, and at the same age she was turned into a sex slave by the Ultranationalists (the Ultranationalist Army of Palmyrion would enslave their prisoners; women turned into sex slaves or "breeders", men forced into hard labor or conscripted). At the age of 16, she was rescued by the (in)famous Task Force 41 during a routine raid on a slave den, and continued her high school education for 6 years.

It has been hard for Elizabeth to secure a job within the next 2 years of her life. Elizabeth did menial housekeeping jobs, but she had quite the penchant for singing and painting. Before her abduction and subsequent trafficking her paintings would put someone in a motivated mood, but her paintings right now speak of mental strife brought by the scars of slavery. Her composed songs used to be filled with joy, but now are quite depressing. With her parents possibly gone and with no friends to talk to, as well as her paintings rejected by a few art exhibits that happened in the past, and none of her written songs reaching decent fame (with a few rejections in talent shows), Elizabeth wants to seek a new life in Barentsburg. Either she becomes a professional painter or a songwriter, the wheels of fate shall turn anew for her in this new land. Barentsburg shall become her new home - even if it never means naturalization in the Aurora Confederacy.
