The Astholm Talks (Closed)

Postby Rashuta » Mon Feb 15, 2010 3:06 pm

The Imperial Palace would be the sight of the talks between the Federal Administration of Rashuta and the leaders of Astholm. The Palace looked as it did pre-war, but the guards in the hall were Federal troops instead of those of the people, and were mush more numerous then before the coup. The halls and dinning room were dressed in crimson and gold bunting and mosiacs of old were dusted and shined for the first time under the new rule. The Dinning room had extra care put into it, the tables were set with fine silverware and crystal glasses, paintings and vases around the room added a grand feel. The chefs were preparing traditional Rashutan dishes and had brought fine wines from the cellar. Armored limousines sat at Ryanitia International Airport to pick up the guests of honor and bring them to the palace and guards would be stationed on the route there. All was set to have the diplomatic meeting that could change Rashuta's history.

Astholm's Prime Minister, the acting and unelected Steven Rutherford, remained stuck in traffic, delaying the meeting.
Meanwhile, Steven's aide, Martin Ramirez, was ready to discuss the agenda... and asked for Rashuta's leaders to list their proposals in printed format.

"Ach amháin do cheannairí agus polaiteoirí" read the sign on the Imperial Palace.

I have multiple puppets here; only a select few are used to represent the continent of Astholm; others used represent Westholme, and do not artificially boost my nation's statistics.Previously i used puppets with nation names that did not identify as Astholm (e.g. Australis Australia; now all new puppets use ASTHLM, NORTHLM, SOUTHLM, WESTHLM (HLM denoting The Holmes.
NOTE: Other uses of Astholm here have a different continuity and refer to work created by the user Astholm, not the nation

Astholm's Minister for Defence (International), Gavin Blackford, showed up, but not in military fatigues, rather more a pinstriped Italian suit.
Gavin was ready for discussion, he knew he had a long day ahead of him, but was determined to see this to the end, this was his attitude.

The guards saluted the foreigners and they opened the door, all while keeping a reverent silence. Once all were in the vehicle a man all in black, but one sleeve of his military uniform was Crimson. The man seemed official and powerful, but he had no medals, no badges, nothing but his red sleeved uniform and black sunglasses were apparent. "Welcome to Rashuta, I hope you find the time you spend here most enjoyable, my name is Simon and I will be your personal guide and last defense, but I can assure you, that will not be necessary, we have the finest guarding us at every moment, and I am sure you will have a good time."
The limousine continued to the Imperial Palace as Simon made small talk to his guests. When it finally arrived a guard opened the door while others saluted and stood guard. Simon lead them down the hallway as he filled the rule of tour guide showing off artifacts, paintings, and mosaics. They were finally in the dining room. A waiter came in, and asked, "What would you like to drink."
"I would like a glass of red wine, something about thirty years old if possible, and what of my companions?"
