The italian goverment never admitted to commiting those attacks , and we have evidence that many of the top ranking goverment officials who were against joining france dissapeared during the war while those that wanted to join france remained in office after the war

His Majesty has condemned the ongoing conflict in Middle-East today, and stated that should the territorial boundaries of Justinia continue to be violated, the Union will be forced to intervene in order to maintain stability in the area.

Another adviser, Alexi Gorbanov, spoke up. "I'm not sure if there's much we can do," he said. "This puts us in a tight spot. Now we can't take any friendly actions towards the Justinian Horde, for fear of being blamed for this fiasco, and we can't do much for the Anglo-Arabs because that would cause rioting in the streets, I'm sure."
"That is a good point," said Victoria. "Perhaps we should just issue an official statement saying that this was an isolated attack, that we're upset that it happened, and both while dispelling any notion that we funded these nuts?"
"That might be all we can do..." said Maximilian.

Press conference, three hours later
"The attack in Jazirah was an isolated incident that we had no part in," began Phyrexus. "Not only are we shocked and appalled that something like this would occur, we are saddened by this tragic loss of life. If any other groups are planning attacks like this, we would urge them to stop. The way to express anger at a nation's action is not through the mindless slaughter of civilians, but rather through more diplomatic means." Now came the serious part. "If these attacks are repeated, the military will be dispatched to 'handle' the threat, unforgivingly." And with that final cryptic statement, Maximilian walked offstage as the shouts of the assembled reporters began to swell into a cacophony that threatened to remove the man's outward calm.

The situation in Italy has been finalized. France will annex a part of the nation and the rest will be independent under a government secretly hand picked by the french. If the people in the new French territory don't like being French they are encouraged to move to the rest of Italy.

Despite France's reveal on their solution in Italy, His Majesty's Men have refused to budge from their positions in Rome, likewise the Royal Navy has remained in the Mediterranean Sea. Indeed we have received reports that their time has been spent preparing defensive fortifications, such as bunkers and pillboxes, and concealed artillery emplacements. Ofcourse, any such rumors must be taken with a grain of salt. In anycase, Rome still remains under the watchful eye of King Dominic.

Tensions continue to rise as the military has reported increased sightings of French ships in the waters between the province of Britannia and the French Coastline. In response to these reports coastal defense guns, originally constructed during the Second World War, but modernized in the late 90's have been activated. Several local officials have also advised citizens to keep a lasting stahs of food and other essentials, and air raid drills have once again begun circulation in the public education system.
Across the Atlantic the 2nd Carriet task force and 23rd RMEU (Royal Marine Expeditionary Unit) have been stationed off approximately 15 miles off the coast of French Guinea, well inside international waters.

Topkekkia would go to war with the French shortly, seeking to rapidly capture Suez, opening up supply routes to joint Justinian and Union forces in Europe. The emporer and other higher ups in the government have been moved to a secret bunker under a small town in central Germany.
Navy in the English Chanel, the North Sea, north of the bay of biscay are moving towards the British isles and engaging Union fleets. With similar numbers and fire power the outcome of these battles are unknown. The same thing is happening in the Mediterranean.
Hundreds of planes are flying towards the British isles to bomb them. We know many will be shot down but we also know there are to many to shoot them all down.
Some Military in Poland is being diverted to assist in renforceing the Eastern boarder.
