Talks between Sol-Kar and Kriania [CLOSED]

Talks have begun between Sol-Kar and Kriania on a possible military alliance. Both are new nations, with high ambitions, lets listen in on what they have to say.

Drakar waits for the arrival of the Sol Karan ambassador. This is his second political assignment and he is still debating in the Jlop/Juthra peace talks. He is nervous he is in support in this new alliance with Sol Kar and is nervous that he might blow it.

OOC: I think there should be a couple of rules there should be NO alchohol, narcotics, or smoking to keep our minds straight and that we should not interupt or yell when we are talking unless in celebration

Trajentius strutted into the office with the bearing of a king. He wore traditional roman armor, the large ted plume on top of his helmet marking him an important man, and he was, he was a general in his younger years, but decided that he had had enough of a military life, so became an ambassador for the empire.

He stood at attention in front of the foreigner, Drakar was his name, and saluted, an arm across the chest. All of his movements were quick and precise. He was a man who did not like to waste time.

"Ave" he said "I am ambassador Trajentius Maxemus."

Drakar says "Welcome valued ally. Today we make a diplomatic standing for the new Krianian-Sol Karan military pact." He is wearing his traditional Scarlet wool coat with brass buttons and a corvat (white thing sticking out of the coat they used to wear in the 1800's) and a tricorn hat and wig signifying his importance.

[Sol-Kar]

"Indeed, so let us get right down to business" He said "now, we have both recently aquired colonies in the same general area, so we beleive it would be best to set up a treaty protecting each others intrests, yes?"

"Yes that would be a good idea do you want us to build one of our star forts on your colonies." says Drakar clamping his hands together

Trajentius's brow thinned, and his glare could cut steel, he was appaprently not interested in that.

"We do not require protection, good sir" he said icily "I simply inferered that if either country was threatened, the other would aid them"

'Bah, foreigners!' he thought 'do they think we NEED their protection? bah'


"I do not speak of aiding in combat, but perhaps aiding in supplies, giving financial aid, and not helping the opposing side"

'If anything, they need OUR protection' he thought

Trajentius's brow thinned, and his glare could cut steel, he was appaprently not interested in that.

"Ok we agree to the treaty" saids Drakar his eyes cut steel as well and his 6 foot 7 size makes him a striking presents
He thinks, "Thsi guy probally has a really low opinion of us currently but i will hold my ground."

"Well then," he said, taking a lighter tone, the fact that the other man seemed to darken told him they meant no offence "Shall we write up the paperwork? I do hope that our forces can one day fight together on the battlefeild, eh? Ah, which reminds me, what is the size of your nations navy?"

"Not much" saids Drakar, "3 Drake amphibious assault vessels"

"For the treaty who do we hire to write it up."

He thinks to himself, "Were finally getting somewhere"

"Ah, alright. We to have a small navy of fifty destroyers, but are currently constructing a large drydock, that will be able to construct our Imperial Flagship. It shall be a battleship, larger than the Yamato and twice, if not thrice as powerful than it. Would you like to, perhaps, see the plans, and perhaps buy them, so you too can produce your own?"

[Kriania]

"Ah, alright. We to have a small navy of fifty destroyers, but are currently constructing a large drydock, that will be able to construct our Imperial Flagship. It shall be a battleship, larger than the Yamato and twice, if not thrice as powerful than it. Would you like to, perhaps, see the plans, and perhaps buy them, so you too can produce your own?"

"Sure we would be honored to see the plans just telegram them to Kriania or show them here your choice."
