"Indeed it is" she answered as she hocked her arm in to his. She nodded towards her staff as the followed them behind as they walked through the great corridors. General von Schwartz was pleased with the meeting so far. She was very interested in hearing more about their military training facilities. Eva whispered to the high emperor. "I'm willing to fly Dr Shertzer here tomorrow for you to discuss further on the improved health care facilities."

The great halls reminded Eva about her childhood. Everything from the golden details to the red drapes. Even the smell was familiar. It was the smell of old and and pride that heated up her heart and filled her soul with a sense of calm that she normally only felt at home in her own palace. She sorry of felt inspired by the nation of Vostojek and by its government. She could not help herself smiling as they walked trough the corridors. She wished that her government felt the same.

Revan couldn't help but smile at that proposal. He gave Eva a knowing look and patted her hand on his arm. They once again made their way into the meeting room, just as the ministers were finishing. Revan spoke first. "Is everything prepared?" Senator Cicero replied instantly, "Yes Imperator, the ministers of Lindenbrau have been most helpful". Revan spoke again. "Thankyou Senator, I have no further need of you tonight, if you have other duties, I will send someone if I require your expertise again". Cicero bowed before Revan, who returned with a smaller bow. "Yes, Imperator. Goodnight Madam." He also looked at Eva during his dismissal.

Cicero then left the room. "Ministers of Lindenbrau, thankyou for your time today, I hope it has been a productive day. Now my maids will escort you all to your quarters for this evening, and your luggage has been attended to already. We have a dinner at 9pm and we would be honoured if you would join us." Revan bowed his head a little and smiled at the ambassadors from Lindenbrau. "Of course your... bodyguards are welcome to attend also."

Revan clicked his fingers and the same Aryan maids from before gestured for Eva's people to follow them. Revan then turned to Eva. "As for you, you will be staying in the Presidential suite, our finest accommodation for our most esteemed guests." Revan smiled again and gestured for Eva to walk with him. They left the room and again walked down the corridor, this time in the other direction. As they walked, the underfloor heating gently soothed the atmosphere and the decorations looked more rich under the evening light. After a while they came to the suite, and another maid opened the door for them. They entered the room, the decoration being just as exquisite as the rest of the palace. In the center of the room stood a king size bed, along with other various furniture in the room. On one of the walls, a marble fireplace gently oozed light out of the burning wood. Revan spoke. "I hope this is to your tastes, if you need anything at all, I will have two maids at your disposal." Revan lowered his arm and gestured for Eva to explore the room.

"Will you be able to join us for dinner this evening? I'd be honoured for you to sit at the head of the table with me." Revan smiled at her.

Eva got lost in the view in front of her. "Just like my childhood room..." She whispered to herself. It wasn't going to be difficult to fall asleep in this magnificent environment. She was almost not even able to respond to his hind proposal regarding dinner time. She let her fingers run over the cheats as she passed by the king size bed. She shyly turned towards High emperor Revan and nodded. "I would be honored to. And once again. Great thanks for everything you've done for us so far. You surely know how to host a state visit." She walked up to him and offered him her hand shake. "Highly professional I must say and as the region foreign minister I will make sure that you nation is well spoken of as highly professional and moralistic."

Vice reichskanaler Shultz was satisfied with the state visit so far but he has seen this before. Eva was always good hearted and did always five the good within the once she met. She could sometimes be to much of a friend maker. Hans was worried that it would one day cost more than she could afford. He promised himself that he was going to keep an extra eye on her and the Vostojekan government. Even though he did not believe anything else then what they were showing. It was important to make sure that they anyways had their backs free from anything or anyone that tried to harm the nation. Hans unpacked and changed suit. He was just about to tie his bow tie as he heard a knocking on his door.

Revan smiled at her. "You are a friend, Eva. You are always welcome in my land. I must admit I was a little nervous before you arrived, I know you are a key player in this region, but I am happy I have impressed you." Revan walked over to her and took her hand, still smiling. "I must also thank you, for being such a friendly and gracious leader, it is truly wonderful to find someone I get along with so well!" Revan turned to leave, but just before going through the door, he spoke again. "I will leave you to get ready, my maids are here if you need any assistance. I look forward to seeing you again." He gave a courteous bow, before walking away the door closing behind him.

---FAST FORWARD TO THE DINNER---

The dinner was in full swing. The senior senators of Vostojek's government were all gathered together, along with the ministers and bodyguards from Lindenbrau. Each nation's people sat across from each other on a long table, engaging in friendly conversation. At the head of the table sat Revan and Eva, both enjoying each other's company. They had finished their first course, and now they were eating their main. It consisted of Vostojek's finest beef steaks, cooked perfectly to each person's preference by the best chefs in the nation. Revan could never tire of Vostojek's finest food.

All of a sudden, the main door crashed open. A man in a civilian dress ran in, before falling to his knees, visibly exhausted and covered in blood. Revan's Praetorian Guard sprung into action, aiming their weapons at the intruder. Revan waved his hand, noticing that the man was one of his gardeners. Everyone was now fixated on the man. Revan asked "What is the meaning of this, citizen?"

The man breathed a few times, still exhausted. "Imperator... we... we are under attack." He breathed again. "The....it's the Red Unity... they're here! There's thousands of them! They're invading the city!" The man exclaimed this news with sheer panic. Revan was in disbelief. How could there be thousands of them? How could they be attacking his city? What is going on?

Everyone in the room was silent. Slowly everyone turned to Revan for his reaction. He paused for a second. Suddenly, a Praetorian Guard entered the room and confirmed, somehow the Red Unity had gathered thousands of people and attacked Vostojek's capital, no doubt they were coming for the palace. Revan then begun his orders.

"General Marius!" He commanded. "Yes Imperator" came the reply. "Marius gather as many men as you can from the legions and muster them on the field of Mars immediately, once that is done, drive this scum out of the city. Organise the Praetorian Guard around the palace to protect the Lindenbrau people at all costs. Senator Cicero, appear on the media and raise the levy, call every loyal man of Vostojek to arms to defend this land. Everyone else head to the bunker immediately." There was a pause. "GLADIUS!" Revan roared, as a maid brought his sword out immediately, which he attached to his belt.

As the orders were relayed, the people acted. Revan turned to Eva with a worried look. "My dear lady, I apologise for this. I do not know how this could have happened. I.. I.. I..." Revan stalled, he could not find the words. He felt like he had betrayed his friend, his only friend in the region. How could this happen?! Revan was about to speak again, when there was a loud explosion nearby. A soldier came in and exclaimed "They're in the palace ground, they're here!" Revan shouted for his men to resist and fight the invaders. He turned to Eva once more "Please, follow me to my Imperial suite, it is the safest place you can be at the minute, I will escort you there. Come." Revan spoke in a friendly, yet forceful tone. He did not try to hide his concern for the situation, as he led Eva out of the room.

Eva raised her eyebrow and stopped right there. She refused to follow. She was repentantly leaning in the opposite direction to where he was going and she pulled her hand out of his grip. "If there has been an attack on my new brother nation. I will stand and fight. A true leader does not hide in any Imperial suite. I am sorry but with all due respect high emperor Revan. I will stand beside you and fight together with you a long side with my fellow protectors of the Linden SS as well as General Von Schwartz." She pulled the side of her blazer away from her hip, showing him a golden pattered Luger. "It used to belong to August Herschner, the former Reichskansler of Lindenbrau. It has been traveling from führer to führer." She pulled the clothing peace back in to place and sighed. "I know you want to protect me and that it is your duty to ensure my safety while on a state visit behind your borders but brothers in arms never hide or step back." As she spoke to him, the same scene was played in front of her eyes. It was played all over again with no stop. A memory that was still as living and fresh as the situation they were both in at that moment.

1979. Eva was 9 years old. The rain pored down as she held her mothers hand, running across Bederstrasse. "Keep running Eva..." she whispered to her daughter as liters of water was filling the streets. A woman's scream had made young Eva stop to catch her breath and to look around for help. "Eva, we don't have time.." her mother had whispered as she pulled her daughter closer to her. "We will soon be by the gates. The general will be waiting for us. They are already there..... ..there.. you see. Eva be strong now."

"I was raised to fight. I was raised to stand up for my nation and as allies. I declare your nation as much your as mine." She bit her jaws and crossed her arms. "It's either that or the coalition is broken right here and now meaning that my men will escort me out of here in safety, placing me in my private jet and making sure that I am flown back home to Kirchender. Or we stand up together to protect your nation, staff and people. The choice is yours high emperor Revan."

Revan paused for a second. He looked at each memeber of Eva's party and was met with a determined gaze from each one. He really admired her loyalty and duty towards an ally, it made him trust her even more. "Very well" he said, "our first job is to clear the Imperial Palace and the surrounding area, follow me." Revan moved through the group of Lindeners and went back the way they had just come from. Following a series of corridors and stairways, they came to the entrance to the gardens. A Praetorian Guard greeted the party and handed Revan a rifle. Revan spoke to him. "What's the situation soldier?" The guard instantly replied, "we have already secured the palace, Imperator. None of the enemy got through, however some of them are still holding out in the gardens. Sir, we are spread thinly, a lot of men have been on leave and so we are heavily outnumbered." Revan replied to him, "do not worry, there are less of us but we are on the righteous path, and we are of better quality than them. Plus we have our new ally here who will be an incredibly valuable asset." He gestured towards Eva and her people and smiled.

Revan dismissed the guard, commanding him to aid General Marius in the retaking of the city and to send more Praetorians into the city. Revan then turned to Eva. "I'm glad you're here. We will make our way to the soldiers in the gardens and clear them out. This way." They hurried through the perfect gardens until they saw the enemy, dug into the construction site of where Revan's new gardens were being built.

Revan turned to Eva, his voice hushed as to not alert the enemy. "It would be rude of me to command your people, this is your show ma'am. I will follow General von Schwarz or yourself, whichever you think is best. What's the plan?"

Eva pressed her party logo pin twice and whispered. "Get ready to send in the LSS-A5 unit. She heard Bellas responce in her hidden earpiece that was always attached during state visits. "We are mobilizing from the south east end of the garden and an air unit is on their way." General Von Schwartz answered. Eva showed Revam the hand and pointed for him to wait. Lindenbrau was one of the regions most high technologically decelpoed nation. It was often described as a redicusly modern modern, futuristic nation and many of the really concervative nations was troubled with the amount of technology and science used by the Linden governement. Eva had used to be one of them. It wasn't until she really engaged in to tight professional relations with Dr Dan Shertzer that she really understood the advantages with it.

3 minutes later, 5 helicopters of the Eurocopter Tiger model, appeared over the garden with Linden SS snipers ready to attack. Eva pressed the pin again and awaited response from General Von Schwartz. "We are ready." Bella said as Eva looked at Revan. "Go." She whispered back as she begun to run towards the east end of the guarden.

The construction site had turned in to a battle ground as the Linden SS shooters and snipers begun taking the Rote Arme members down, ony by one. "The once not killed, arrest emediatly! I will have them sent to Lagergeneral Shanger and Dr Shertzer. They do not even deserve a trail." she commanded her general and secretary of defence.

Revan observed the events unfolding before him, impressed with the professionalism of the Linden military. Then he snatched up his rifle and joined the battle, taking out members of the Rot Arme with precision. The battle raged, intense shooting from both sides. Revan prepared himself to move forward and ran towards another bit of cover. Seeing the Emperor, the Rot Arme concentrated their fire on him, and the bullets whizzed past, however one hit him square in the chest. Revan continued running for a second before collapsing to the ground. He dragged himself into cover, and looked at the blood now running from his chest. The pain was fierce, unlike anything he'd had before. His head then hit the ground, and he was unconcious.

---Meanwhile in the city---

General Marius had organised his force well. The legionaries and Praetorians had been clearing out the city, fighting fierce battles against the communists. Also Cicero's call for loyalty from the people was also heard, and several citizen militas had mustered and begun fighting. Most of the intense fighting was around the Forum and Imperial Colosseum, and the Vostojek forces fought with a beserk fury to defend their treasured buildings. Any of the communists captured alive were killed instantly. Some Red Unity battalions had routed and fled into the Vostojek countryside and forests, but the battle in Tiragrad was favouring Vostojek.

Eva snatched aside as she noticed how bullets where flying passed her even thoug she was constantly guarded and covered by 2 in the front and 2 in the back. She dodged one bullet as she suddenly heard a close hit and hotised how the emperor fell do his knees. She quickly fired against the man who'd fired the shit and hit him right between the eyes. She threw herself beside Revan and called for a meidical helicopter to land. While landed, Dr Keller orderd his medical teat to begin treatment already in the helicopter. Eva raised her voice towards Dr Keller. "Take him to Shertzer. It is the only way for him to survive. NOW!". She did not want to leave his side. The tapepd her pin and called for General Von Schwartz. "Keep going and work very closely together with the Vostojekans and their troops. I'll be heading home with Revan. I can't leave him."

At Shertzer
Eva ran along the gurney as Revan was taken in to surgery. "Dan please save him! His nation need him." Dan tried to calm the fuhrer down. "Eva, please wait here. You know I always do what I can." Eva nodded and swallowed the feeling of tears trying to come forward. Dan continued in to the OR where he was met with his staff. "Punctured lung. He is drowning. We need to perform a quick transplant and get him in to stabile ratio. We barely have any time. SCHNELL!! SCHNELL! SCHNELL!"

.... 1 hour later...

Dan released the intubation since Revan was now able to breath on his own. He took of his gloves and dried his forhead as Revan was rolled in to a intensive care unit where he would be supervised twentu four seven. Nor only was he doubbled IVd with both morphine and extra needed neutrician, he was also connected to both a EKG machine and a blood recieving pump that was going to return the lossed blood he needed. It could not be given to quickly due to the risks of causing a thrombus. 1 hour later Eva arrived to what probably was the worlds most modern laboratory/hospital and camp. She had always been so proud of Dan and his facillity but she had never been so thankful for it as she was today. She carefully and shyly entered his room and placed herself next to him, waiting for him to wake up. She was not going to leave his side, no matter how long she would have to wait.

She placed herself next to his bed grabbing his hand.

Revan's eyes opened. He did not recognise his surroundings. Medical equipment, and a high tech facility. For a second he thought he was back in a communist concentration camp, and was about to rip out the equipment and escape, until he looked to his side. There was Eva. He squeezed her hand upon seeing her there with him. "What... what happened?" He asked.

---In Tiragrad---

By now General Marius had effectively cleared the city. The last few strongholds were being assaulted by the Evocati, and the citizen militias had been dismissed. A few survivors fled into the country, however Marius was hot on their tails. He sent the Arcani as an aggressive recon unit, and the secret service began probing the villages for information. The battle was pretty much over. However, General Marius had a lot to discuss with Revan when he returned. He did not know his leader had been shot and was in intensive care.

Eva smiled as he opened his eyes. She leaned closer to him and spoke gently. "You where shot. You are at Shertzer LC in the intensive care in Lindenbrau. My general and your high command is handling the situation. Everything is handled. I have resieved information that most of them have been taken down or in to custedy. We had to fly you here or you would have been dead. Your lung was punctured and you have gotten a new one. Dan and his team saved your life." She gently moved her fingertips on his hand for him to feel her calming touch. Love and affection had always been the best medicine according to her. She smiled gently ang whispered. "You are alive..."

Bella turned towards Cicero. "I am proud to have wbeen working with you. We are going to accomplish great things together." She locked secured her luger before she placed it in her hulster. She reconnected with her 1st unity team leader to make sure that situation was clear for the moement.

Revan rested his head back on the pillow again, staring right up at the ceiling. He was incredibly grateful to Eva, but at the same time felt ashamed that this happened whilst she was visiting his country for the first time. "Eva, I don't even know how to begin thanking you. You've done me an incredible service, as well as my nation. I am eternally in your debt." As he spoke, he turned towards her. "Now I need to get up and sort this mess out." He attempted to rise from the bed, but was hit with a sharp pain from his wound. He fell back onto the bed once again and sighed heavily.

---Back in Tiragrad---

Cicero smiled at Bella. "You've been a great help, General. I have no doubts General Marius is equally pleased. I need to speak to Revan, do you know where he is? I have not heard anything from him in a while." Cicero's face displayed his concern for the Emperor.

Eva noticed how the monitor reacted to his pain and she noticed how a morphine dose was moving through a cord in to his left arm. "You are not going anywhere. We will take care of all this. I will make sure that General Cicero is flown here if you wish. You just been through a lung transplant. You need to be in bed rest at least for 3 more weeks. We will arrange a meeting here at the hospital. There are serveral of conference halls here in the building. I ma sure that we can find somewhere good to hold this meetings." She smiled friendly. "Without a strong leader a nation will fall. Do not doupt my staff nor your own. We will fix this." She kept smiling and kept holding his hand. She squeezed it gently and continued rubbing her fingers across his hand.

- Tiragrad -
Bella had recieved all the informtion just a few seconds after the med helicopter had left Vostojekan ground. "He is doing good. He was shot and our fuhrer had him flown to Shertzer for a lung translant. It was very serious and it was the only way to save him but he is recovering and he is being supervised 24 / 7 by higly professional medical staff."

3 weeks... he'd never left his post for that long since he'd taken power. He had capable people in office, but he felt it was his duty to continue to lead. Perhaps this time it was wise to take Eva's advice. "I'd like to get a message to Senator Cicero, if you could tell him to stay and run things in Vostojek with General Marius, and if he could send a few other senior senators... let's say... Winter, Speer and Nero. I'm sure they will be helpful around here in the coming days." Revan could not mask the concern in his voice, and he was worried about his nation and what the future will hold. At least Eva's presence comforted him. He rubbed her hand with his thumb. I should get a wife he thought to himself.

---Tiragrad---

This news eased Cicero's nerved somewhat. The loss of Revan would have devastated Vostojek and created great unrest. "Thankyou so much for your help General. You and your people deserve a reward for your bravery and loyalty today. I'll have some refreshments sent to all of your people immediately, and you may freely wander Tiragrad to see some of what we have to offer here. In fact, I believe there are some games being held at the Imperial Colosseum soon. What do you say?"

"Ssshhhhyy.. I will arrange everything. Trust me. Just lean back and relax. I will be spending the first nights here at the hospital if there is anyting you need. I have an office and a presidential suit at every camp just in these cases. I will make sure that the information reaches the once that you are calling for." She braided her finger in to his and smiled as her eyes shimmered. "I am just to greatful that you are alive and okay. A true leader knows when to take a rest and take care of herself or himself." She placed herself next to him on his bed side and smiled friendly. "I know that you are worried but put your worries aside and just focus on everyone that is going to try to help you, rely on them and let us take care of you... can you do that?"

- Tiragrad -
"We will make sure that all your wishes comes true, that everyone who should be notified will be so and that everything goes back to normal and that your country will be continue being the strong, powerful, nobel nation that it already was and still will be." She smiled as he offered her a visit to the Colosseum. "A gladiato fight? That sounds like a very honorable and interesting way to spend the rest of the day. I would be honored to witness this event." She replied and offered him her hand as a greatful gesture.

Revan relaxed, Eva's charm worked it's magic on him. "Yes, I can do that. Thankyou again Eva, for everything." Revan kissed her hand before laying down. "I thought I was done fighting, but fate always seems to give me another battle. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened, I'm just incredibly lucky to have someone like you to help me survive."

-Tiragrad-

Cicero took her hand in friendship and shook it. "Why don't you sit in the Emperor's box with me, let the people see the great people of Lindenbrau who aided them in their time of need. They will love it if you introduce the games. I'm sure with the addition of some Rot Arme prisoners, the games will be even more spectacular, and the crown even more eager!" Cicero was getting excited at the thought of the events, and the spectacle to come.

Eva smiled and leaned over and kissed his cheek gently. He was so poetic. "We all have our thoughts on life but it always seem to take a different turn then what we expected it to. I call it luck. Without this happening, you would never have gotten reminded of your mortality. I guess you had to go to that place to get to this one. Nothing happens for the fun of it. Life is created by our selves and each step we take will lead us to a different road where mroe roads will be presented. Which one to choose can sometimes be hard to know but for the pure hearted, it always pays off in the end." She understood what he felt. Her life had not always been a walk in the park. She was proud to have gotten to know him and his staff.

- Tiragrad -
Bella was almost chocked by his offer. "Really? If anyone should do it it should be our fuhrer. I think she is staying with your high emperor though to ensure his safety and well being. I just don't feel like I am the right one for the mission. Would you accept our vice reichkansler to call it open? Hans Shultz is the second in command after Eva. I am sure that he will do a fantastic job." She tried her best to convince Cicero due to the respect of the governments hierarchy. "We will all be joining you in the oppered seat though. We would be honored to." She nodded politely.

Revan was astounded at how wise the woman was. Her outlook on life, her advice, everything. It was all so obvious, yet he could never see it. She amazed him with her wisdom. "Well I hope whatever the end is for me, it was worth all this." He chuckled before coughing, and the pain stabbed him once more. He winced in pain, using his other hand to put pressure on where the bullet had ripped through him. He was determined to recover as fast as he could, to get back to Vostojek and make amends for his failure of Eva's state visit.

-Tiragrad-
Cicero enthusiastically agreed. "Very well, it would be a great honour for that to happen. Come now, we will have refreshments brought to you, and give you chance to relax after tonights events. Don't worry about the clear-up, we will handle that. I will be in contact very soon about the details of the games to come, please come inside." Cicero smiled at Bella, and gestured to walk with him, and they went in together. Inside, in the same banquet hall as before, brand new food and drink was prepared and on the table. Several other of the Lindenbrau people were already seated.

Eva smiled once again. "Good things come to good people. If you have good intentions, greater things will come to you. Sometimes you need to fall from a very high top to land om a very soft and beautiful soil. My mother always told me that and I always try to live after that." She noticed his pain and the monitor gave ou a reaction to the staff in the room next door. Dr. Shertzer himself had promised to handle his care. He entered the room and highered the automatic morphine level. "You will get 10 millileters more each time you feel pain. We are in the rooms next to this so if this does not help you, I will return and we will see how we can help you. Your blood levels are much better aswell as your preasure and heart rate." Eva nodded happily as one of her best friends gave them both the good news. Dan left the room once again. "Imagine, that man is also the Linde SS general. I ama so astuniched by him."

- Tiragrad -

Bella nodded politely and followed him back in to the great hall. She placed herself next to the vice Reichskansler and Joseph Berger, the secretary of foreign affairs. The meal was amazing. She was used to benig treated like a higly respected woman and she had been to many state visit dinners but Vostojek kept surprising her over and over again.

"He seems like a very talented doctor." remarked Revan. "Perhaps some of my medical staff could learn a thing or two." He laughed as he joked. "When will I be able to get up and walk around? I don't like the idea of lying here for weeks on end, I'm a man of action and purpose. And of course all this mess in Tiragrad to sort out..." Revan sighed, but his natural determination was again showing itself, something which had always got him through the toughest times in his life. From the death of his family, through imprisonment, war and now ascension into power, Revan's life was hard, but he made it through. However he felt that one day it would take it's toll on him and damage him beyond repair. He hoped to have a successor of some kind by then.

-Tiragrad-

Cicero too was enjoying the meal, he never tired of Vostojek's food. General Marius returned briefly to the palace after saving Tiragrad, informed Cicero of the situation, before leaving again to visit the High Command. Marius now had the difficult job of rooting out the remaining members of the Rot Arme. However he started with counting his losses. Although minimal, Marius lost a few good Centurions, the officers of the legions. However his organised the men so that deserving people were promoted, and those that showed bravery and courage were awarded medals. As a precaution, he continued to keep the entire Imperial Vostojekian Armed Forces on high alert, in the event of another attack.

Eva smiled and patted Revan slowly over his head. She stroke his hair gently like her mother used to do to her when she was sick. "I will see what I can do." Eva got up and stepped in to Dans room. "Dan he wants to leave earlier. I think is is time for you to give the X-ranger a try. You have been testing it for a long time now with great results. This could be revolutionary for your corporation." Dan kept listening. She had a great idea but failing would bring the oposite reactions. But you are right. We have been trying it out for years now and the wounded prisoners have healed with perfect results. Let me prepare everything. Would you exlpain everything to him while we prepare the machine?". Eva nodded before she entered his room again. She placed herself on the chair in front of him.

"I can get your out of here in 2 days but it means that we will have to send you in to the X-ranger. This machine is built to stabilize most readings and treat the pain. I am not sure how it works more then that but Dr Shertzer will inform you before the procedure starts. It is a new sensational equipment that has been tested on prisoners for years. Do not ask me how much he tortured them before he put them in there because I am not even sure if he remembers himself. He does a lot of strange things." She laughed a little before she grabbed his hand once again. "Are you ready to give it a go?"

Revan was uneasy, being on the receiving end of torture had changed his outlook on it forever. But still, this was a good way to be able to get back on his feet. He thought for a moment, before answering. "Yes I will give it a go." He swallowed and tried not to think of the suffering that took place in order for this procedure to become a reality.

Eva smiled gently and rubbed his hand again. "I am sure that Dan will make it as painless as possible. He only torture the undesirables. You are more then wanted behind our borders. Revan, look at me. He is a professional. If he fails. I will have him vaulted by the moment you flat line." she said laughing. "You will have nothing to worry about." She had worked with him for such a long time that she almost knew what kind of socks he was wearing. Besides learning his couture schedule, Eva had supported Dan through thousands of down side moments. She had be the first person to contact him as soon as it had reached the government that his mother had passed away as well as when he was young and scared of failing med school. There was absolutely nothing that Eva did not know about Dan. At least not what she could imagine.

Revan relaxed once more, Eva's reassurance made him feel content and at ease. He was excited at the prospect of being back up on his feet, and being able to return home. He did not know how his people would react to the events of the previous attack, whether they'd laud him as a hero for defeating the Rot Arme, or disgrace him for ever allowing such a thing to happen in the first place. He placed that concern from his mind, and focussed on the procedure to come. He said to Eva "When can we begin this procedure?"

"He is preparing and setting everything up right now.." Eva and Revan spoke about nothing during the waiting time. She did not want him to focus on anything special. Being tense would not help him to recovery. Eva took a deep breath before she continued talking. She was about to tell him something that she had not told anyone besides Dan and general Von Schwartz. She closed her eyes before she began to speak."My father passed away when I was 2 years old. I have never told this story to more then 2 people but I trust you enough to know about it. I do not remember any of this but it took me years to get my mother to tell me the truth about my father. He was a soldier, a captain in the marine. He was spending months at see and my mother barely got to see him. It was hard to believe that they were even married by most people they knew. He worked under general Ehren Shröder. A tall man with big green eyes. He always called me his little white rose. It was all because of my hair color. I was born with white grey hair. At first they thought I was albino but my eye brows and private hair had a little darker tone so they took that of the chart. General Shröder had known my father since childhood. It was him who introduced my father to the academy. My father had always been a very persuasive man, easy to gain trust from and he could just never focus at one thing at the moment. I never understood that determination could kill you. My mother told me at the age of 6 how she had received the letter and the flag. It was signed by Shröder himself." Eva stopped speaking and looked down in her own lap. Her hands was shaking. She could not stop here. It would be a disgrace to the truth. "My father turned on his own land. He was offered to join a small resistance in exchange of owning his own village outside Peronesia. His dream to build a wealthy future for me and mother forced him to leave the rest of the nation behind. He had a killing number on 317 Linden soldiers before he was captured and shot without a trail." A tear fell down Evas cheek as her voice cracked on the last 3 words. She swallowed her feelings and took a short break before she continued speaking.

"My mother told me that she cried a lot after I was born. I automatically assumed it had something to do with me being born. I often judged myself. I just dreamed of being able to make her happy again and even though my tiny fingers was appreciated as wipes to dries those tears away, she never really recovered from the pain. The only thing that I ever learned from my father was to never turn on your own people for your own sake. Make your people your family and then fight for them. It is the only way.... to do what is right and to succeed with it and walk out as a winner. I have given everything to my people. Some of them have better health care then I do. Most students are smarter then my own political adviser and animals and nature on the country side is being better taken care of then my own palace back yard and you know what? I could not be happier. There is nothing that I am missing in my life as long as I can see the shimmering light withing the eyes of the Lindenbrau people." Eva looked with tear filled eyes at Revan. It felt like he understood her even though he had millions of other things going on in his mind. She had noticed the great amount of empathy that was filling his heart and how it reflected on his people. It was one of the reasons why she knew that he was going to survive the procedure. He was one strong man.
