THE SIEGE OF ALEPPO IS OVER
Bigtopian forces and the Arioslavian Army liberated the city from the Caliphate



We have information about a significant victory in Bigtopia. Following a nearly 2 months-long siege which costed the lifes of at least 150.000 people (including 2000 Arioslavian soldiers), the city of Aleppo has been finally conquered by the forces of the Bigtopian National Council, with a support of the Arioslavian Army and air forces of the other allied nations. The Caliphate lost nearly 20.000 men, but the majority of the victims are the civilians, killed either by the Caliphate or by the Coalition's bombardment.

Now, the conquerors must bring back the order in the city. The humanitarian situation is dramatic, whole districts of Aleppo are in ruin, thousands are homeless or have no basic means to live. Many places are the scene of the fight between the non-organised groups of desperate people, looters, regular bandits and single Caliphate supporters who try to continue the desperate fight.

As for now, the Caliphate self-proclaimed authorities of Aleppo face the consequences of their crimes in the city. Local 'emir' (self-proclaimed governor), the commander of the Caliphate forces in the city, his second-in-command as well as the head 'sharia enforcer' of the city have been all condemned to death by the Bigtopian Army martial court right after their capture. Many Caliphate supporters and confidents have been lynched by angry mob - many preferred to surrender to the Coalition forces rather than to face the wrath of the people. Overall, more than 5000 Caliphate warriors and their supporters are now in the hands of the Coalition. Once butchers and murderers, now they should expect the worst fate.

A fire squad of 15 Tanzerattish soldiers are in a heavily armoured troop transport vehicle, driving into a town, controlled by Commonwealth Forces. An explosion can be heard and a soldier turns to look out the 3.5 inch thick window.
"Sh*t. Glad that wasn't us."
A gunshot, louder than the rest erupts, and a window in the vehicle caves in, and a soldier falls out of his seat.
"Cr*p! Sniper!"
The soldiers scramble to keep their heads down as the sniper continues to fire.
"Misfit 4-2, there is a building with a huge billboard on it, we believe the sniper is in there. Light it up!"
"Guns, guns, guns"
A helicopter flies in and begins firing its minigun.
"Whiskey 1-1, sniper has ceased. Continue advance, over."
"Got it 4-2, thanks for the assist"
The vehicle driver notices something in the distance.
"Oh, sh*t! Get down!"
An enemy soldier with a rocket launcher fires, and the vehicle flies forwards, and lands on it's back. A solider can be heard screaming in pain.
"Frost, Glacier. You alright?"
"Frost's dead. I'm fine."
The two, Marina and Glacier, step out of the back of the vehicle, and are greeted with the view of a town, buildings on fire.
"This is what you get for fu*king with us. Come on Glacier."
The pair proceed, surprised that they haven't had to engage any enemies yet.
"Where the bl*ody hell is everyone?"
The grassy plains which 100 soldiers, made of fire squads of 15 which were driving into the town was empty. Had they all drove on?
"Fingers on triggers"
They climbed up a uphill, which lead them to an alleyway.
"Shall we?"
"After you."
They proceeded, and put suppressors on their rifles.
"They don't know we are here".
They force a door open and enter the building, watching their surroundings. They hear a man whistling, and Glacier raises his rifle. The enemy soldier walks in front of Glacier's line of sight, and that was the last thing he saw. Glacier fired three rounds, all hitting the target.
"I got point."
Glacier proceeded, and gave the signal for Marina to move forward. They went up the stairs facing no opposition. They walked to a balcony, and set up a sniper outpost. Marina was operating.
"Yankee. Thought we were dead, huh?"
"Whiskey 1-1, we need sniper support kin the coordinates Lima Echo Delta Three Three Niner."
"We got it".
Marina pulled back the bolt on his Mountain Wolf Sniper Rifle, and found an enemy.
"Down."
He fired again.
"Down."
Once more.
"Down. Yankee 3-3, you are clears to proceed. We are gonna move on our end, so-"
"F*ck!"
An enemy began to fire, and Glacier was hit. Marina turned and fired on shot, which hit the enemy in the head.
"Glacier!"
"Just go... Leave me."
"No! Oh... F*CK!"
"Go! Go... Now."
"I'm not leaving you-"
"If you f*ck around here too long... We're both dead..."
"No!"
"Go... Go... Go..."
Glacier breathed in and out once more.
"Go..."
Glacier's head slid to the left. He was dead. Bullets hit the brick wall in front of Marina. Marina returned fire, and eliminated the threat.
"Friendlies coming in. Call sign Glacier, you there?"
Marina was staring at Glacier's lifeless corpse, as blood trickled down the wall. The friendly fire team had just arrived.
"You're too late. Glacier's gone."
"I'm sorry son. The name is Lieutenant Baker, callsign Punisher."
"Now is not the time for f*cking introductions! My friend has just died in front of me, and you were too late to help."
"Do NOT talk to me like that you f*ck!"
Marina clenched his fist.
"Ooh! Getting angry are we?"
The lieutenant laughed.
"I'm so scared!"
Marina pulled back his arm, and thrust it forward, into the Lieutenant's face. The Lieutenant fell back, as the team separated the two. The lieutenant was on the floor, with a bloody face and wonky nose. Marina left the building.

Emily: Forever?
Sam: It's unknown, but we will be speaking about the contest in general. The successes and the, well, not successes.
Emily: Let's start with the amount of nations participating. WorldVision is a massive organisation, which spans across more than 100 nations.
Sam: Indeed, but it seemed that only 19 of them wanted to participate in the contest, which is a massive decrease.
Emily: I remember back in the 41st WorldVision Song Contest, when we hosted we were a bit sad the numbers dropped from, like, 45 to 33, and we thought this was biggy. But now we are at 19 nations, what is going on?
Sam: Well, I have been going behind the scenes, and I've found out a lot of information. Though I can't release all of this, I can tell you that one of the reasons is that the contests ending in "1" usually has a low number, due to it being insignificant to that of the ones which end in "0"
Emily: Is that so? What kind of theory is this? Let's move on...
Sam: We came second?
Emily: Rigas would be quite please with that. Remember, it wasn't her who was supposed to represent us!
Sam: True, it was quite rushed.
Emily: Estogium placed 5th...again...both WHF and WV, lol! 5th or 6th.
Sam: The winner? Normandy and Picardy?
Emily: Yeah, not a very popular song amongst Estogium as they gave Normandy and Picardy no points!
Sam: That's true. Despite the 7 points, I don't think that Normandy and Picardy will be selling lots of records in Britonisea for this edition.
Emily: However, I can tell you that we did as good as them when it came to the amount of nations who voted for us. 13!
Sam: I guess, but it would've been nice to win.
Emily: Not with 83 points, that would probably be the lowest in history!
Sam: Imagine if we won for a third time, though. We'd be considered a music giant!
Emily: I guess, but let's speak about Estogium.
Sam: Yeah, they gave Gurori both 3 points and 1 point. What do they have to say about themselves?
Emily: Well, according to the televotes, Cheongji actually received the 3 points, while the 1 point was given to Gurori. However, the final result was the final result. They gave 1 point to the lowest non-voted-for nation, Adab. Of course, Gurori wasn't supposed to get that 3 points, but whatever?
Sam: That would've shifted the scoreboard a lot! Estogium would've sat in 6th place and Kalosia in...11th.
Emily: Let's move on to Kalosia, why don't we?
Sam: Yeah, Ruslan is doing very well in the charts. It's actually our #1! Congratulations, Ruslan! It has millions of downloads online, already.
Emily: It's such a great song, it's a shame this didn't translate back in to placing.
Sam: I think the Britonish, who scored this 10 points, were a bit taken back by this when they only placed a mere 10th place in the end.
Emily: Yeah, I certainly was. Ruslan's popularity in Britonisea is off the charts, to be honest.
Sam: Their cheeky spokesperson, Naomi, announced that Kalosia gave us 8 points. This caused huge applause.
Emily: Yep, we are pretty entangled with their music these days, and their country.
Sam: We loved this song, it was such a beautiful song.
Emily: Let's go on to Ekoz, and how they're not participating.
Sam: Ekoz, one of Britonisea's favourite countries, and one of the most liberal countries in the region.
Emily: Um, Sure...? Ekoz has stated that they won't be participating in the future for the same reasons as Britonisea.
Sam: Sad one, isn't it?
Emily: If Estogium comes out, then it's likely Arioslavia will be by themselves.
Sam: Oh well. At least we're all confirmed to go to Arioslavia for the World Hit Festival.
Emily: I guess so, I guess so!
Sam: I hope Ekoz keeps on providing good music, they haven't been touching our top 10 charts lately.
Emily: They have been very quiet.
Sam: Oh my gosh, we gave 8 points to Mister X?
Emily: Yep, pretty much.
Sam: Well, they have yet another 15th place.
Emily: Oh well, not even us can save them!
Sam: Well, hopefully they can come back a bit stronger, I know how much they want the win.
Emily: Finally, before we go. Apparently hosting the WorldVision actually wasted money, a couple of million britoes.

Emily: Exactly. Right, I think it's time we go and prepare for Founders Day.
Sam: Yeah, the banners for the World Hit are down, WorldVision are going down, and the banners for Founders Day will be up. Only a couple of days!

A Virus to halt Founders Day Celebrations?

Britonish Founders Day Celebrations kick off tomorrow as the Ultimaversian Republic celebrates 73 years since the establishment of The Grand Britonish Kingdom of Britonisea. On Founders Day, 29 October 1943, The Grand Britonish Kingdom was formed - a supernation between Britonisea, Nightom, Estogium and Aloquirbe. Nowerdays, Founders Day is considered a Britonish only day as we don't have an "Independence Day." Founders Day is one of the most celebrated holidays after Christmas, and it's expected billions of britoes extra will be spent on food and drink. And just as Halloween is set to hit, which is celebrated mainly in Northern Cities in Britonisea (Where the former Aloquirbe and Nightom are), Kyvivre's Anne Boyle was taken in to hospital after suffering an attack known as the "Zombie Virus"

The Zombie Virus has hit the new Ultimaverse for the first time, and it's time to brace itself. During this time, it is expected that people of the thousands could die - and it's similar to that of the Ebola Virus which broke out in West Africa, back in 2014. There are cures, but there is not enough to go around at the pace we all need it. There has been reported cases of the Zombie Virus, or Homo Carnivorous virus (H9CV), in Central-Eastern Aurevbush, which suggests that the virus is outside of the Kyvian Metropolitan Area. However, no planes have been cancelled, and the cure is only seen as a minute threat.

Also, around the world, The Manticoran Empire and Tanzeratti has both found themselves is situations which could be related to the zombie virus. Health Minister Idris Calais says, "This is not a Britonish problem. As a nation with the 3rd best Healthcare system in our region, the failure to contain the Virus is not the fault of the Britonish public. It's unknown where this has come from, but it could have easily had come from another nation - and maybe there is someone suffering. Since my announcement earlier today, 75 people went in to hospital - 30 of them are detained. If this case gets out of hand, we will have to cancel Founders Day, which is a big shame. This is what we are going to do. Over the next few days, those who are under 18 will be receiving a jab which will hopefully solve the issue. It may not work, but we can try."

Students will be getting this between tomorrow and Monday in a drop-in clinic at all schools. This is compulsory. A text message/email will be sent to parents. Over 14 million jabs are expected to take place. Donations will be accepted.

Reports are in with a video snapped at a mans funeral. During the showing , he apparently sits up and attacks his wife who was giving him a goodbye kiss. He took a large bite out of her cheek and moved toward the preacher, who was holding a ceremony sword, the preacher then decapitated him in self defense. The mans wife is now in a quarantine cell at Shangra La Grand Hospital showing signs of violent behavior and has began gnawing off her fingers. The hospitals ambassador is now releasing a statement that the hospital has been put on high alert as tests show a mutating chromosome in her blood. All Sanctuary hospitals are on alert and quarantine rooms are available across the nation. No further news on where this infection could have come from as the man had died while in another country, not to be named.

Killer sentenced to death
First, we have been able to send a LEXINews reporter to the Londres City Court in Londres, after killer Jake 'Ghost' Baker was sentenced to death. Here is the dialogue.

Judge: Following Angel Koph's testimony that she witnessed you pull your two victims into your van, where you randomly and brutally murdered them, and later shot an officer when she attempted to investigate, the court has judged the evidence presented. Have you any statement?
Baker: I only killed Jameson and Tyler (victims) for defense reasons.

Judge: Order! Order, Order! Baker for your unlawful killing of Andy Jameson, this court has sentenced you to five years imprisonment. For your unlawful killing of Rowena Tyler, this court has sentenced you to five years imprisonment. For your resistance of arrest, assault and unlawful killing of Officer Emily Wood, this court sentences you to ten years imprisonment. All these terms will be served together, meaning you will serve 20 years imprisonment. However, given the fact that you repeatedly stabbed and mutilated these victims after their death, has forced this court to make amendments. You will serve 20 years imprisonment, and then a further 2 years on death row. You are to be executed by lethal injection 22 years from this day, on the 29th October 2038. In nearly all of the 52 towns and cities, the celebrations have been cancelled beacause of the Homo Carnivorous various scandalous in Britonisea. While another 39 people has been confirmed to have the virus, from various parts of Britonisea, Founders Day Celebrations are now kept indoor. Britonisea AGAINST execution of Tanzerattish Jake Baker?

Despite pleading his innocence through saying his murders were in self defense, and rather manslaughter than murder, the judge abused Jake Baker's Human Right to life as he was sent to gaol before receiving a lethal injection. We went out to the public to ask for their opinion on this shocking case, "I understand that Jake killed people, but I think they should have given him life without parole in solitary confinement, or even put him in a mental institute." Says Kelly Brooke - A shop vender. "I think whatever he did was inhumane, but what good is it that Jake is going to die after his gaol service? Honestly, just lock him up and thrown him up, make him suffer, feed him once a week or something. Killing him is the quick way out." Says Ore Martino, an Aurevbushan-Britonish traveller.

Had Jake Baker been Britonish, he would've served 3 life sentences (dependent on age of those who are killed), including aggression towards a police officer which would've totalled to approximately 70-90 years. Had Jake been under manslaughter, that sentence would've been reduced significantly. Executions are banned from the ABEN nations, except Nightom - where sometimes the Britonish send their most vile murderers.

Protests In Kannapolis Suppressed Efficiently

Earlier today, at around noon, Kannapian police responded to a situation of protesters taking up position outside of the Kannapian Ministerial Building. Police responded immediately, arriving at the scene with tear gas and riot shields. It is estimated that there were 75 protesters and 9 were arrested at the scene. Another three protesters were critically wounded and are currently in the hospital. The remaining 63 protesters managed to escape but surveillance cameras at a nearby convenience store managed to allow police to identify the protesters and they are being searched for.

Protesting in Kannap is not necessarily illegal, but citizens are reminded that protesting in front of government buildings is strictly prohibited and violators can face up to 30 days in jail and a $5,000 fine.

Premier Anthony Griffin made a statement about the protest this evening: "Dear fellow citizens of Kannap, I have heard today that a protest attempt occurred at noon outside the Kannapian Ministerial Building in Kannapolis. This is displeasing to hear and I am disappointed in the 75 citizens that considered this to be necessary. I want to apologize for the inconvenience that may have been caused for law abiding citizens trying to go about their business in the capital. The nine suspects apprehended will be interviewed by police officers before being sentenced to 30 days in jail and subjected to a $5,000 fine due to be paid by January 1, 2017. I have been informed that 63 suspects fled the scene and I am disappointed in the cowardice of these citizens. I request that you consider turning yourselves into authorities and your punishments will be minimal if you do so. I am deeply saddened to hear that three suspects were injured and I intend to visit those three people and their families in the coming days. I wish you well, my fellow citizens of Kannap, for the glory of our great nation."

A Call For Change

Citizens of Kannap, surely by now you have heard of the protest earlier today in Kannapolis. We assure you that this was not some foolish protest against the government for no reason, we are demanding the right to vote for our national leader now. This is an important right for us to have and let us explain why we believe so. When Jeremy Andersson resigned in September, we were saddened nationwide to hear of his decision, we all believed that he was an outstanding leader. However, he promoted High General Anthony Griffin to the position of Premier. This promotion was unjustified and Anthony Griffin is not fit for the position of Premier. We want the right to elect a new leader.

Elections in Kannap? Absurd, you may think. Not necessarily, Kannap has had elected rulers in the past and it is an important part of our history. The first Premier of Kannap was the last elected official in current Kannapian history. In 1707, Evan Silverheart was elected to be the leader by popular vote. In 1716, nearing the end of his rule, a referendum occurred and asked the Kannapian people to vote on whether or not to continue having elections. The idea was that elections were a waste of the Kannapian people's time and that the Premier would just appoint his successor. The referendum voted in favor of allowing the Premier to appoint his successor, the vote won 82% - 18%. This allowed the idea of the Premier appointing his successor to go unchallenged for two centuries. In 1972, Benji Tyuti V brought about a new referendum for the Kannapian people to decide if they wanted elections or not. The referendum voted against elections, 65% of voters were against elections while 35% were for elections.

We firmly believe that it is time for another referendum, for the citizens of Kannap to once again decide their leaders and have elections. We want the ministers of the Ministerial Cabinet to vote on this and demand the Premier to call an election and led us vote for a new leader. Anthony Griffin has only done horribly in his just over a month in office and has not appointed leaders for the vacant minister positions. Our government cannot operate without proper ministers to make sure the many branches of government are working efficiently. So join us and call for a change, call for elections, and demand a referendum to let the Kannapian people decide our next leader!

PRO-DEMOCRATIC PROTESTS NEAR THE EMBASSY OF KANNAP

Telgrad - About 80 people gathered today near the embassy of Kannap in Telgrad to show their solidarity with Kannapians protesting against the rule of Premier Anthony Griffin. The protest has been organized by Arioslavian human rights activists, but the opposition politicians also participated in the event. We call for a change in Kannap because we know how the dictatorship looks like. We lived in the USRR! We call our government to finally condemn Mr Griffin. This world needs changes! - said Roman Balabanov, one of the leaders of the protest.

The government has not expressed its opinion on the recent events in Kannap yet. The protest was peaceful, although OMON units have been called to protect the embassy from unexpected incidents.

Neuburg - Yesterday, the court in Neuburg ruled that the activity of the NBF party is illegal due to involvement of the party leadership in Nazi propaganda, financial malversations, crimes against the Constitution (including planning a rebellion in order to seize power and numerous acts of terror), hate speech and use of agression against its political opponents. The court ordered dissolution of the NBF.

This night, the KGB entered the NBF offices in the whole country, including the party headquarters at Novogradskiy Pereulok 75 in Telgrad, arresting 120 people. The NBF leadership will face accusations of promoting fascism, hate speech, anti-state activity and treason, for which they may be condemned up to 25 years of labour camp.

ARIOSLAVIAN ARMY IN BIGTOPIA PUSHES SOUTH

Ar-Afuz, Bigtopia - Following the liberation of Aleppo, about 400.000 Arioslavian and Bigtopian soldiers and Kurdish militiants march South towards Damascus, occupied by the Caliphate. The offensive is expected to reach the city in two weeks.

Meanwhile, the GRU intelligence agency informs about extraordinary re-group of the jihadist forces near their 'capital' Mosul. This moves may be a last, desperate jihadist counter-offensive, as the Caliphate seems to run out of men and resources. However, the GRU warns that the Caliphate still may send up to 90.000 warriors against the Coalition forces. The unity of the Coalition has been questioned after Tanzeratti exit from the alliance.

END OF TANZERATTI - HISTORICAL EVENT OR JUST A SHORT-TERM SOLUTION?

London, the UK - The citizens of the Western Europe made a historical decision in a referendum. 76% of the French, German and British voters decided to dissolve the Federal Republic of Tanzeratti, a hundreds years-old state in Western Europe. This means that the territory of former Tanzeratti has been divided into three new, independent states. The Tanzerattish nationalists, led by former Chancellor Marina Blake and king John IV left the country and the Ultimaverse to find a new place to re-estabilish the Tanzerattish state.

Violence in Bergsstad

"Hello, I'm your radio broadcaster, Gavin Marone. This morning, protests erupted in Bergsstad after heightened police awareness in the city. Protesters gathered in Centera Park.

The Centera Park Protest began at around 9:00AM and about 300 people had gathered in the public park. Reports of the large gathering were called in by concerned citizens who did not know what was going on. Bergsstad Regional Police dispatched two units to respond to the event and they called for backup upon arrival. The park was surrounded by police, who simply watched the protesters do their thing. At about 11:00AM, tanks and military personnel arrived to disperse the group. soldiers surrounded the park and appeared threatening. The commander of the troops announced that the protest would end and that people were to leave immediately. The protesters refused. In a quick moment, one of the protesters starting walking towards the soldiers and one of the soldiers shot the protester. On the other side of the park, having heard the gunshot, Kannapian soldiers opened fire on the protesters.

A witness, Isaac Hamilton, stated "You could see the soldiers and the protesters facing each other and nobody was moving an inch. Then we heard a gunshot from the other side of the park and the soldiers aimed their guns at the protesters. Their commanding officer tried yelling for them to cease but the soldiers had already started to fire and the commands were not heard. It was only a matter of seconds before protesters starting running in every direction and the screaming became unbearable. It was only minutes before the screaming had stopped because all the protesters lay still on the ground."

The latest report shows that 274 of the Centera Park protesters were killed and the remaining 26 are in critical condition in the hospital. Premier Anthony Griffin refused to give a statement about the event."

The Premier of the nation has been intentionally left out of the know of this meeting but we are unsure whether or not the Vice Premier will be there. The meeting started two hours ago and we are not sure when we will hear any results from the mee- what? Oh my goodness! Citizens, I just received news that the meeting has concluded and we have the results to be announced to the people.

Vice Premier Logan Andersson attended the meeting but abstained from the vote that they held. Foreign Affairs Minister Christopher Spencer voted for a referendum. Minister of the People Phillip Griffin voted for a referendum. Minister of the Treasury Malachi Stevens voted for a referendum. Minister of Transportation Francis Stevens voted for a referendum. Minister of Education Jake Andersson voted against a referendum. Minister of Internal Affairs Peter Andersson voted for a referendum. Minister of Commerce Joseph Silverheart voted for a referendum. That means 6 votes for, 1 against, and 1 abstaining. It has been announced here first folks, Kannapians get to vote on whether or not we wish to have elections! The referendum will open on November 7th and close on November 9th. Please vote between those times and please vote for our right to have elections and to choose our next leader.

Oh! What? More breaking news just now, Premier Anthony Griffin has resigned his duties as Premier of the Federation of Kannap. The Ministers have decided that Vice Premier Logan Andersson will take the place of Premier. A Vice Premier will not be nominated until after the results of the referendum. We also have reports that Minister of Education Jake Andersson has also resigned from his position and that a new Minister of Education will be appointed as soon as possible.

CELEBRATIONS OF THE REVOLUTION DAY

Yesterday, on November 7th Arioslavia celebrated the 91st Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. This day has been the most important state holiday during the USRR era, but still it is one of the most popular holidays in Arioslavia, although some question the need to commemorate this day. However, as usually, a big parade was held at the Lenin Square in Telgrad, as well as numerous minor events in other cities.



In 1925, on November 7th (October 24th Old Style), the Revolution began in Neuburg, after the Tsarist authorities ordered to open fire at the Socialist manifestation. Revolution, led by Lenin soon spread through Arioslavia, which led to the fall of the Arioslavian authocratic monarchy and creation of the USRR. Those who oppose the idea of celebrating this day point out that the Revolution led to the bloody civil war and that the last Tsar Pavel IV, executed by the Communists with his family, was an innocent victim of a brutal murder. However, 86% of Arioslavians still declare that the ideals of the Revolution are important to them.

Results of the Referendum

"Good evening Kannap, we have news from the referendum as it has just ended and votes have been calculated this afternoon. We have the final results here ready to be announced to you all, the Kannapian people. At the time of the final calculation, it was determined that the percentage of pro-election voters stood at 74% and the percentage of anti-election voters stood at 26%. This means that the nation of Kannap will soon hold the first elections since 1707.

Premier Logan Andersson made a statement on the results, "I commend the citizens of this great nation for voting for what they believe is right. The people of this fine nation voted for elections and I strongly believe that they made the choice that they deserve. My first announcement is that the referendum has ended with a majority vote in favor of elections and an election will be forthcoming. My second announcement is that I will be stepping down from the office of Premier and taking the interim position of Moderator-in-Charge. This position will last until the election ends, in which the winner of the election will become President of the nation. Lastly, my third and final announcement is that the election will take place on this Friday, the 11th of November. Please go out and vote for the next leaders of Kannap, I will definitely be casting my vote. Thank you."

There will be two elections on Friday, November 11th. The election for President and the election for Vice President. Two candidates have announced their intentions to run for President: Magnolia Cullowee and Phillip Griffin. Magnolia Cullowee served as Mayor of the city of Royale from 2012-2016. Phillip Griffin is the incumbent Minister of the People and has held that office since June of 2015. He has also served as a councilman for the Kannapian National Olympic Committee since 2014.

There are also two candidates who have announced their running for the vice president election: Christopher Spencer and Cindy Clengin. Christopher Spencer is the incumbent Minister of Foreign Affairs and has served that role for four years. Cindy Clengin is the current owner of Clengin Family Restaurants and is also the current President of the Federation for International Representation of Kannapian Culture.

Heavy snowfall in Central part of the country

First snow has fallen in Arioslavia. Heavy snowfall has hit Siberia and the most of the interior of the country. In Telgrad the temperature has fallen to -10 degrees Celsius and it is expected to reach -16 by night. In Nemirsk and Samira the snow cover is 10 centimetres thick. Only the Black Sea and Caspian Sea areas has not experienced the snowfall yet. Due to severe snowfall, the Militia urges the citizens to drive responsibly, as the roads are slippery. The weather forcasters expect more snow to fall within the next weeks. However, the heaviest snowfall has to hit the country in December and January.







In other news, new ambassadors have been nominated. Ivan Mikhailov will be the official representant of Arioslavia in Kannap, while Anna Zyuganova will be the Ambassador to Evretannia. Mikhailov is 54 years-old worker of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs. Zyuganova is a 46 years-old former secretary of the Arioslavian embassy in Ekoz.

PRESIDENT FEDOROV TO RUN FOR HIS FOURTH TERM IN OFFICE

Telgrad - Today, the Presidential Office announced that current President Vassily Vladimirovich Fedorov will run in the December presidential elections. If Fedorov wins, this means that he will rule for another seven years. Fedorov is the first person elected for the post of the President - and the only one, having won the elections in 1995, 2002 and 2009. During his rule Arioslavia experienced the democratisation and liberalisation following the dissolution of the USRR. His enemies accuse him of leading the country to the one-person rule and blocking further de-communisation, while his supporters praise him as a pragmatic politician who managed to stop the oligarchy from corrupting the country in late 90's, re-estabilished Arioslavia as a world superpower and stabilized the country economy during his long rule.

According to the polls, Fedorov is supported by 82% of citizens, although many admit that the country could be led by a younger leader. Yesterday, the opposition parties leaders announced that the talks over choosing the joint, apolitical counter-candidate supported by the opposition have begun.

ARIOSLAVIA LAUNCHES A PROBE INTO THE SPACE

Samira - A rocket with a probe robot Svarog-1 has been launched from a cosmodrome in Samira. The launching of the probe has been successful. The mission of the probe is scheduled for the 8 years period. It's purpose is the analysis of the gas that constitues the surface of the planet of Uranus.

The exploration of the distant parts of our solar system is one of the points of the Arioslavian space programme carried out by the ARIOKOSMOS agency. The probe bears the name of the Old Slavic solar deity Svarog.

LIBERALS WIN THE CONGRESSIONAL ELECTIONS IN AUREVBUSH

New York, Aurevbush - Liberal Democrats won 136 seats in the House of the Representatives and 32 seats in the Senate following the Tuesday elections in Aurevbush. This means that Brandon Wyatt will be the First Consul of Aurevbush. Ruling conservative National Federalist party unexpectedly lost the majority in the Congress. For the National Federalists the elections ended up with a catastrophal lose, as they lost the position of the hegemon on the Aurevbushan political scene. The Aurevlogists point out that the majority of the conservative voters who previously supported the ANFU now voted for the Libertarians, who became the second power in the Congress. The elections also showed the mobilisation of the social liberal electorate.

However, none of the parties have won majority in the Congress. Adam Watkins, who earlier could rely on the National Federalists in the Congress, now will probably face opposition of the Liberal Democrats. This may effect in a political impass in Aurevbush. The Arioslavian ambassador in Aurevbush expressed a hope that current political changes will not affect the relations between Arioslavia and Aurevbush.

EURASIAN PACT CREATED

Following the months-long negotiations between the diplomats, the leaders of the People's Republic of Belkarus and the Republic of Kargulistan arrived to Telgrad to sign the treaty creating a new international organisation - the Eurasian Pact of Souvereign States (Yevraziyskiy Dogovor Nezavisimykh Gosudarstv). Presidents Aleksandr Lavryshenka and Rustam Nazarbegov met with President Fedorov. The creation of the pact is the success of the Kremlin diplomacy, as it means the re-creation of the strong ties between the former republics of the USRR. The treaty estabilishes a military and economic alliance between the participants. The member states mantain their souvereignty and independence, as the decisions will be made during the summits of the Presidents, Prime Ministers and members of the government.

The opponents of the pact in Belkarus and Kargulistan point out that the new alliance is just a tool of the Arioslavian diplomacy to dominate its neighbours, strenghten the position of pro-Arioslavian authocratic governments in former Soviet republics and rebuild the USRR. It is expected that other former Communist republics that mantain the ties with Telgrad can join the treaty soon.

Former Aurevbushan Ambassador to Tanzeratti Henry Yale has called out to for the island to be reorganized into the first Aurevbushan associated state, meaning in exchange for autonomy, mutual defense, economic aid, and allowing Evretannians to live and work in Aurevbush (and potentially receive citizenship), these states provide space for military bases, follow Aurevbushan foreign policy and common law, as well as allowing Mainlanders to work and live in Evretannia. Likewise, Supreme Leader Adam Watkins, has spoken to his advisers and cabinet about forming a broader political union connecting the Federal Mainland and possible associated states in the future. ARIOSLAVIAN ARMY ENTERS THE TERRITORIES OF THE FORMER ROMAN EMPIRE

Following the official recognition of Serbia, Bosnia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Moldavia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Macedonia as the independent states, the Arioslavian Army started a full-scale operation to secure the peaceful transfer of power. Over 500.000 soldiers of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th Corps crossed the borders of the fallen Empire, also using the Belkarussian territory. The Black Sea Fleet vessels have been ordered to secure the safety of the Arioslavian people living in the Crimea. The 34th Infantry Division has landed at the Bulgarian coast, while the 42nd Division landed in Moldavia and Romania.

The army has been instructed to help the local national politicians in estabilishment of the new authorities and to secure the safe and peaceful transfer of power. As for now, no serious resistance has been met, as many citizens in that region treat Arioslavian army as liberators and allies.

VASSILY FEDOROV PLEDGED AS A PRESIDENT FOR ANOTHER 7 YEARS TERMS

Telgrad - Following the victory in the presidential elections, Vassily Fedorov has been pledged as a President of Arioslavia for the fourth time. This means that Fedorov will hold this office for the next seven years.

Fedorov is a leader of the nation since the final days of the USRR. Once a popular Communist reformer politician, hailed as a national hero after the 1994 coup, he managed to consolidate and reform the Communist Party and transform it into a leading political power of the country. Having easily won the elections in 1995, 2002 and 2009, now Fedorov is given another chance - a visible sign of his popularity.

Tomorrow, the new-old President flies off to Berlin for his first state visit in this terms.

EUROPEAN UNION RE-ESTABILISHED

Brussels, Belgium - The fall of Tanzeratti has left a political vacuum in Western Europe. Seeing the recent turmoil in the Roman Empire and the intervention of Arioslavia and Manticore in Europe, the governments of France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, England and Scotland decided to sign the treaty of Brussels to re-estabilish the once-defunct European Union.

The new Union, although smaller than its predecessor, has a common flag, anthem, parliament and Council. The member states have independent internal policy, the national armies are also mantained. The EU claims neutrality, but majority of its officials expressed a will to co-operate with Western powers and a fear of the Arioslavian hegemony over Europe.

President Fedorov plans to meet with the EU leaders during his state visit to Germany in order to set good relations with its members.

You may have noticed that this article is not brought to you by the Kannapian News Network. Premier Benji Tyuti V installed the Kannapian News Network during his leadership in 1979. This was his plan to limit the freedom of speech and freedom of the press to just a few select news agencies across the nation. In 1984, Premier Jaxley Smythe strengthened the power of the Kannapian News Network and banned all other news outlets. Therefore, the Kannapian News Network became the only legal form of media in the nation of Kannap.

Premier Jeremy Andersson started to deregulate that in 2014, when he started to slowly allow more news agencies to surface - though they never gained popularity and the state run Kannapian News Network still typically enforced their articles as the official news of the nation. He moved on to be President of the National Association of Progressive Farmers from 2008-2011. In late 2011, Padradis took the position of Assistant Minister of Agriculture and held the position until the resignation of the previous minister earlier this year. He has experience for the Minister position and we have faith that he will serve the position well.

These two appointments are good news for the people of Kannap, who have been waiting since the resignation of Premier Jeremy Andersson for the vacancies to be filled. Six Minister-level positions still remain vacant: Minister of Labor, Minister of Health and Human Services, Minister of the Environment, Minister of Justice, Minister of Education, and the High General of the Military.

Plane Crash Near Geratu

Hello, my name is Helen Arsogress and I bring you breaking news from Bergsstad Press, channel five. It is with extreme sadness that I announce the news of a plane crash in nearby Geratu. As of the latest report from witnesses on the scene, emergency medical services from Bergsstad and Geratu have arrived at the site of the crash and have ordered citizens to back away from the wreckage. We have Benjamin Tyuti on the scene, how is it looking there Benjamin?

Well, Helen, the scene here is horrifying. When I first got here, it was only ten minutes after the firefighters had arrived and twenty minutes after the police had located citizens away from the wreckage of the plane. We have very little information. The plane landed in a field next to South Pine High School. It is quite fortunate that the plane missed the school. Administration at the school have ordered students and staff to go home, possibly by order of the Geratu police to evacuate the school. I spoke with Kevin Aldere, Chief Firefighter of the Bergsstad Fire Department and he said that there was some concern that fuel from the plane could catch fire and even cause more explosions than the original one caused by impact with the ground. Thanks, Ben. The latest death toll report is listed to be 15 - the number of bodies found so far. Two people are also injured, but they are the only survivors so far and it is unlikely that any others on board survived the crash. The two injured passengers have been rushed to the hospital and one is in critical condition. Bergsstad police are currently working with Royal Kannapian Airlines to determine exactly which of their planes crashed and to determine how many passengers were on board. KGB ARRESTS SIX ALLEGED JIHADISTS IN TELGRAD AND SERYOZNY

KGB confirmed that six men had been arrested today in the morning in Telgrad and Shershenyan ASR capital Seryozny in a joint action of KGB, Spetsnaz and Militia. The arrests took place early in the morning during the two actions taken out at the same time in two apartments in Telgrad and Seryozny, the alleged men were surprised and unable to make any resistance move.

According to the KGB, the men were observed by the authorities for several months and probably had ties with the Caliphate. In their apartments, the investigators found several pistols and machine guns, ammunition, jihadist propaganda materials and drugs. Unofficially, the KGB suspects that the arrested men planned to perform mass acts of terror in Telgrad and Shershenya during the upcoming New Year holiday period.
