Raiding. It does nothing to benefit anyone. It just causes people to take time out of their day. Answer the question.

Getting it taken back takes 12 hours. Now, answer my question. It wastes everyone's time. It has no point in the end, so why even take the time out of your day to do it?

Because it is fun. For those who understand how gameplay works, R/D provides an intricate simulation of foreign policy, espionage, and warfare that cannot be found anywhere else on the site. It is more exciting than roleplaying for the people who do it because there are actual material holdings at stake, and the outcome is never certain and often out of the player's control. It requires cooperative play styles to be effective, which causes tightly knit communities to form around the activity.
Now that I've answered your question, I'll address the rest of your post. The argument that raiding is pointless is completely ridiculous. Are you trying to say that the rest of the activities on this site have a point? Please, enlighten me as to how role playing is less pointless than gameplay. At least when I'm occupying a region I'm actually there, doing something, not just saying I am. I have nothing against RP, but to argue that it has a point, or at least a better point than raiding, is ridiculous. We're all playing this game because we find it fun, not because there is a point.

As New Axiom has pointed out, complaining about your region being raided is like complaining about being killed in an MMO. Raids are easily combated or fixed, and are nothing to complain about. There are so many tools and guides for avoiding raids provided to players that no one has any excuse to not utilize them.

Being new to the game. That's an excuse. Also, I hate MMOs and find that they are a large source of cyberbullying.

Good for you, nobody asked if you hated MMOs. Any website could be a source of cyberbullying, and NS certainly isn't because it's comprised of mostly mature young adults and adults and not thirteen year-old kids who don't like anything that lets them feel any emotion in a game whatsoever.

I really don't do roleplaying. Also, raiding doesn't have much of a strategy and isn't intricate whatsoever. I have been in DEN and I have seen what the commands say. Just go to this link and endorse this fake nation. Then the information is given to you without consequence or risk. Just find a smaller region, endorse, wait.

YAY! YOU GUESSED SOMEONES AGE! Wow, really great job. Lets see what you've won for saying an age disrespectfully! Behind curtain number one, nothing! Behind curtain number 2, the fact that you were once 13! Behind curtain number 3, the possibility that you are 13! Well that's all for tonight folks, see you next week!
