In the barest possible sense, it's Japanese animation. If you want to call it such, it's a cartoon. But due to the cultural differences and the massive counter-culture in Japan, for the most part, anime is nothing like a western cartoon.

Most western cartoons I watch are anime-inspired though, so it's hard for me to make a massive distinction.

Fair enough.

But what I was referencing were cartoons he'd know, like Loony Toons, Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, maybe Adventure Time and Steven Universe, but you get the point.

Ahhh, of course, those early(ish) cartoons were my childhood. The older, classic cartoons, like Loony Toons and those by Hanna-Barbera are most in distinction.

Newer cartoons are, I noticed, taking a lot of inspiration from anime these days. Take Adventure Time; they now have an entire genderbent canon. I presume this to be the result of modern cartoon's and anime's western audiences overlapping heavily nowadays.

A major difference is that while animation can be used for all ages in Japan (e.g., Ghost in the Shell and other "seinen"), in America it's considered pretty much just for kids. Anime also has its own tropes and genre conventions, although I understand that it's not considered its own "thing" in Japan proper.

Quick question:

Can we feel G forces in space?

Excuse me if this question sounds dumb...

If by G-forces, you mean the acceleration like people do in fighter planes turning at high velocities, the answer is yes.
However, that's only when the craft is under acceleration or deceleration. Once it stops speeding up, slowing down, or changing direction, you won't.

The reason spinning space habitats spin is that it means you're always changing direction, so you're always being pushed away from the center axis of the rotation.

The reason i posted that question was this:

I was adding a description to my AI controlled spaceship, and i wrote this:

"With no biological elements inside the ship, it can be far more agile than most ships within the space navy, as it has nothing that could suffer because of the massive G forces that the ship faces."

Well... Apart from the hull integrity...

I was kind of sceptical about that...

Unless you have some kind of inertial dampener technology which would prevent the human pilot from feeling the full acceleration, then yes, an AI will withstand much higher acceleration than a human. The limitations are closer to the theoretical maximum of the vessel's space frame / hull, then.

Late post, I know, but ha, yeah, I have a tendency to make Sugar Bowl worlds that remain strongly sugar bowl but are, eh, very aggressively defensive of it.

You should see this other story I got in the works-- which may or may not come to fruition thanks to my number of writing projects, in fact I probably should not have rejoined NS ;;-- for this one faction in this Magical Girl world. Even for a setting that's naturally prone to sugar-bowling as that, they would take it to the next level and treat what they did as the most serious thing ever. Just to start us off, this is something like what they would look like. Except serious.

See, their whole shtick is that they're Anti-Magic by default, so they can't defend themselves against the various Magical Girl-setting baddies that plague them in the 'conventional' way of doing it. Which they're really bitter about. So their answer to the threat is to answer it by putting magic inside of tools to use it for them. This could turn out any silly way, but they wound up modelling themselves on the CIA Special Activities Division.

And to give an example of how their technology works, their primary arsenal consists mostly of laser weapons. Not a big deal, yeah, until you come to how they construct them. In general, their laser weapons' fuel cells are powered by liquefied Friendship, their optics and casing are made out of various grades of hard candy, and they use ice cream as coolant.

....and I wanna note, I'm not gonna do anything even near that for Sol Bella. So uh. Don't worry.
