So, guys, to get some life thrumming through this group again, I've been thinking of starting a nice, casual, simple war RP while I continue to ruminate on Novaluna's considerably complexity behind the scenes. No onerous preparation or rigid organization, just some good old-fashioned blow-shit-up fun. I plan for it to be high-PMT, perhaps staged within the Alt-Vistoraverse, but with nations outside the canon more than welcome to join in.

Hmm... is slightly more interested, though somewhat worried that will ripped to cornshoot by significantly more advanced nations with space ships and laser guns.

On an unrelated note, Vis, is there still room in the alt-Vistoraverse... I suddenly had an idea for an alt version of one of my puppets.

Knowing Excidium, he will keep his alien visitors balanced. Tbh I actually expect them to be underpowered in comparison to some of the primary factions.

Also, there absolutely is room. Any blank space on the map is fair game (with a few possible exceptions) and numbers 5 through 8 are somewhat negotiable in terms of territory.

You don't have to go in-depth with anything, tbh. Just provide a very brief synopsis of each unit in the listing on the application, and the rest can be played by ear. I'm going in as the Hadron Corps, which isn't likely to have very much in the way of factbooks for the RP's duration.

I do have it, and it can be quite powerful, but I do try to keep it at a level of the more awesome and potent the effect, the less practical it is to utilize... usually. Though I might have more potent magi if I do get involved... and do use magic, simply to balance out that I've only rudimentary power armor, and none of that manportable fusion/directed energy bullshit going on. Additionally non-human sapients? I've those too, and I don't want to be stuck in human only...

Secondly, would you sanction my own reopening of my own RP for those looking for a more serious minded conflict.

Yes to magic. You can call it whatever you prefer, but it is likely my own characters will refer to it as "psionics", since that is what exists within the Altverse canon. Nonhuman sapients are also allowed, so long as they are decently humanesque in their actions.

That it might turn out to be a clusterfuck, you are likely correct. However, I do intend to guide it along the lines of a fun clusterfuck. The idea is that it isn't too serious, so it being a little messy only matters not.

I will go right out and say that I fully intend to lose the conflict in the most glorious, spectacular way possible. Because, to me at least, it isn't about capturing the do-anything crystals. It's about creating a scene worthy of a Michael Bay movie. Vapid, yes, but the explosions make it all worth it.
