Chile spent the rest few centuries in complete isolation as the country was completely transformed into a technocratic state with an AI-planned economy and somehow surviving the disasters. Someone from SSF then proceeded to have an agreement with Cybersyn, allowing for Chile to practice limited production of SSF assets and armaments as the SSF lacks in terms of land for industry that isn't desolated.

Geographic Location A strip of the US Atlantic Seaboard with a Northern extent slightly North of Boston, and a Southern extend slightly South of Alexandria, Virginia. The strip isn't very wide, but stretches as far west as Springfield, Massachusetts at its Widest Western Deviation, and as Far as the Mouth of the Potomac at its Eastern extremity (extremities referring to distance from the "main" hub cities of Boston, Providence, Hartford, New Haven, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC.
Summary A breakaway state founded with the disintegration of the United States, the Boswash Confederacy was formed from the densely settled portions of the Northeast. Most of the Boswash Confederacy, all except the District of Columbia, seceded from the Union in 2024 with the election of a Plains State Theocrat to the Office of President. This secession spawned a number of similar events throughout the United States, which many of the coastal cities leaving the Union, and resulting in a de facto collapse of Federal Power by 2032. This collapse was marked by the withdrawal of the capital from Washington DC, and its reassignment to the city of Kansas City, Missouri. The Confederacy then annexed Washington which was in a state of chaos.

The Boswash Confederacy at its fullest extent began fortifying against its more aggressive Southern Neighbor, the American Confederated Free States which was comprised of most of Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama, and the parts of their states that themselves seceded from the Boswash Confederacy, as well as the United States and its Exclave in Maine. Seeking allies in the divided states of America, the Boswash Confederacy aggressively promoted good relations with the states on the Western Coast, as well as with the States in Canada, and in Europe.

The Confederacy is a mostly Urban state dominated by a moderate leftist government under the Populist Green Normal Party, which promotes the self-sufficiency of the Confederacy, an "armed isolationism", and the promotion of the rights of the worker. It has tense relations with the more rural parts of the Northeast, though it has never led to open warfare, and on brief thaws there is substantial trade between the two nations. The Confederacy has actively been courting good relations with the Western parts of the country, donating water whenever transportation is feasible.
