What is its maximum speed with a 2-ton Nayba biomek on top that is too lazy to actually walk to his desired destination?

A lazy mech? That's a new one.

They're half-animal, you know.

Actually, I need to standardize my terminology and decide on a term to use for human-occupied bio-synthetic human-alien hybrid bodies, versus the AI-controlled bio-synthetic animal-alien hybrid bodies.

Also, your lifeweavers* need to get their shit together if they're breeding lazy animals. Fortunately for you, Makina Sarif's newer Bioaug branch is flourishing.

In this case, I actually meant a lazy human. Well, lazy transhuman.

I'm tempted to borrow the term "sleeves" and "resleeving" from Eclipse Phase, but it doesn't seem appropriate since in EP it's mind uploading/downloading, and in Nayba Collective it's actually a brain transplant operation.

"Biomek" is nice, but it describes all of them, not just people or just animals.

Not bad, because of their semi-human design philosophy, 'Anthromek's implications of human-like features works just fine.

I'm going to chew on both of them and the direction they represent, but you could throw a few more at me for good measure.

Solid state. Well, that's what I guess the BETA use.

Around 40 km/h. It isn't that fast getting around with what is essentially a Heavy Laser-class BETA actually (referring to the cannon).

National Information

Nation Name: The Greater Allancian Empire (Allancia)
Population: 5 billion
Year(s) It Is Set In: 1980-2125
Governmental System: Mechanocratic oligarchy
Economical System: Socialist-capitalist mix
National Ideology (if any): Mannism (pretty much what would happen if Lenin, Hobbes and Nietzsche all got drunk and tried to write a book together, and then that book became a philosophy)
Political Climate: Relatively stable, with some tensions among competing government agencies
Important Individuals: Gordan Mann: Creator of Mannism
Walter Morntell: Founder of the modern nation
Edmund Rosencrantz: Chief editor of a major state-run newspaper
Neumond Wernicke: Lowly soldier, general, scientist, head of the military and civil science division. You name it. Neumond Wernicke lived to be over 120 with an advanced life extension machine, solely with the purpose of letting him continue to research artificial intelligence. It was only after the D.M.I.O.E. had been finished was he allowed to die.
The D.M.I.O.E.: The eternal machine emperor of Allancia. It is housed in the Imperial Palace in Battenburg, but multiple back ups exist across the nation.
Capital/Seat of Power: Battenburg, Earth

Setting Description

Briefly describe nation's setting and tech level: Technology such as energy weapons, extremely large space ships (Goliath-class shuttles) and large scale planetary colonization are common in Allancia. Some wormhole technology does exist, although only the military has access to it. However, teleportation, ansibles or true FTL do not exist, or only on an incredibly small scale. The Allancian Empire exists within its own canon, although that's mainly because I've never really done any successful RPs before. The Empire is centered on Earth, although several colonies on other planets/moons do exist.
Are there any supernatural or fantasy elements? If so, briefly describe them: Nope.
Has your nation visited, explored, or established livable areas on any extraterrestrial planets/moons? If so, briefly describe them: Yes. Mars, the Moon (das Mond) and Encaladus all carry colonies below/on their surfaces roughly the size of New York in metropolitan area and the nation of Germany in land area. Various Jovian and Saturnian moons as well as Venus have colonies varying in size, the majority of which are simply research stations.
Are there any non-human sentient species within your nation? If so, briefly describe them: No. The D.M.I.O.E. may count, but it is the only one of its kind.

Official Stuff

Do you agree to abide by the rules and regulations established by the Razor's Edge Cooperative Council?
Yes.
To what extent will you be able to contribute to roleplay and discussion in this group?
I check NS daily, so probably at least once a day.
Are you a part of any other NS groups?
Yes.
Do you have any puppets of relevance/is this nation a puppet?
No.
Do you have any questions regarding this group or its members?
No.
Do you have any extra information I need to know about you or your nation?
No.
What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
What?

Alright, so, due to the fact that your nation straddles the line between PMT and FT, you'll have to answer a few critical questions before I accept you. Keep in mind that, even if the answers are not satisfactory, you'll still be an honorary member. It's just good to know.

Has Allancia ever visited Extrasolar planets and/or moons? If so, what would they be and how did you get there?

Can you provide any additional information on your exoatmospheric vehicles (factbook link, brief description, etc.)?

Describe [b]in detail[/i] this wormhole technology, its scale, and its capabilities.

Describe [b]in detail[/i] this wormhole technology, its scale, and its capabilities.

Sure thing.
1. No. They have been observed, but the ability to actually visit them is beyond us.
2. The ships usually carry large amounts of cargo and troops, and use hydrogen fuel to move. Their course is usually plotted by computers, with the crew occasionally correcting them as needed. Even at top speeds, they usually have to use cryogenic suspension pods to keep the crew and passengers from starving to death. As well, due to its cost, gravity simulators (rings circling around the main engine or something like that) are not used. They're incredibly expensive, and the production of them is slow and costly.
3. Wormholes are usually created in space, as they release an enormous amount of radiation. The aforementioned ships, usually clad in lead, can usually travel through them if the machine creating the portal is large enough. The portals work by using super dense rods of matter spun in circles at an incredible rate to generate a wormhole, which then can be linked up with some delay to another activated portal using microwave communication. Getting the portal machines there in the first place is done by them being shipped in bits and pieces by freighters, and then constructed by workers and construction automatons. However, the materials are incredibly expensive and the energy required to do this is tremendous, so only the military and occasionally state run trade corporations may use them.

Keep in mind, that last one is not absolutely essential, and I could easily drop it if need be.

What is everyone's status when it comes to subdermal armour?

Meh, in order to function it has to retain the properties of skin to prevent obstruction, and as we know, skin ain't very bulletproof. Besides, sometimes it's not always about considering how, but why? What benefits would subdermal armor confer that outweigh the many downsides?

Fair enough. However, anything remotely realistic would be either severely diminished in capability or require some SERIOUS biomedical finagling.

Ah. We use a combination of both (without the biotech, although we do use genetic engineering obscenely often).
