GOVERNMENT OF HARDENBURGH ANNOUNCES ITS INTENTIONS REGARDING NUCLEAR WEAPONS
Currently , our nuclear weapons stockpile consists of four TRIDENT nuclear attack submarines ; however , in light of a recent attack , we do not feel this deterrent is sufficient enough - we now announce , to the international community our new intentions.
TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF OUR NATION WE INTEND:
- To build two more nuclear attack submarines
- To enable one of our SSN's to carry cruise missiles mounted with nuclear warheads
- To invest heavily in both short and long range ICBM's
- To look at air delivery systems for our bombers
This decision has been made due to the fact that Hardenburgh is a relatively small nation, we have just emerged from a war with a much greater power , and we cannot invest the required amount in conventional forces to defend ourselves from such threats , we feel this solution will give us more "bang for our buck" as it were , and hopefully deter any nations from attacking us.
THE GOVERNMENT REMAINS ENTIRELY COMMITTED TO ITS NO FIRST USE DOCTRINE , furthermore , we urge a worldwide disarmament treaty to be drawn up , this will lead to us dropping all nuclear expansion programs and decommissioning our current submarines
