Japan calls for Tokyo Conference
Our great monarch, Ryūō (龍王), has invited the leaders of all nations into Tokyo. This is the first time in history that anyone from an outside nation has been allowed into the Imperial City, Tokyo. The event for which this invitation was for is a conference to discuss international matters and to promote peace in the world. All visitors shall be ferried from Oshima Island into Tokyo Harbor and then will be taken to the Imperial Palace by automobile. No guns, poisons, chemicals, animals, plants, or hazardous material may be taken by visiting personnel into Tokyo. The government is awaiting response by all nations accepting the invitation.

Each attendee must RP arriving by ship to Oshima Island, from where you will be taken into Tokyo.

Description of Oshima Island
Oshima Island is an island of great beauty, situated just 46.15km from Tokyo Bay. It is a medium sized seaport used mostly for directing international passengers to various ports along the eastern side of Japan. it is known for its great seafood restaurants and lush agriculture. It has many restaurants and commercial businesses. It also has a number of hotels near the shipping ports for international and domestic travelers. It has a population of 10,000 full-time residents. This island's inhabitants are very friendly and gladly help citizens and foreigners alike on almost anything as long as it is both legal and the people are able to do the task.
Once everyone is on Oshima, the RP will proceed to the next point in the conference (ooc: The trip is also an attempt to wow the visitors as they get to the conference).

After a long and rough trip through the Indian Ocean 12th Ascent of Runolc and CEO of Forward Industries, Nicolas Sayerm, departs from his vessel wearing a pinstripe beige coat and brandishing his signet ring on his left index. This is the first time in history (to our knowledge) that an Ascent has stepped foot on foreign soil. Sayeram is heavily intrigued by the dignitaries of the other invited nations and looks forward into seeing how thing pan out.

Mitsiwa, Liberatin
A ship could be seen docking near the port of Mitsiwa. This city was growing as Liberatin claimed its place in the modern world. With many ships carrying imports and exports, the port was very busy. Having a coast near the city benefited it in many ways. Seeing the ship was Emperor Yohannes I and two of his advisors. These people were representing Liberatin in a conference in Tokyo, Japan. The Emperor previously commented on this as a huge step for peace.

Yohannes I was a pacifist and one of the most liberal emperors in Liberatin's history. It would be a long trip from Mitsiwa to Tokyo. As he was getting on the ship, the Emperor waved to the crowd gathered below. With this conference, more Liberatine cities will become like Mitsiwa, he thought.

Oshima Island, Japan
When the ship reached Oshima Island, the Emperor and the two advisors got off the ship. This was the first time any Liberatine Emperor has visited a foreign nation, so it would be a historic event. The first advisor glanced at the many restaurants around the area. Hopefully, the food will be excellent, he thought. The Emperor was dressed in his best attire for this event. He said to his advisors, "This will be very interesting."
"I agree," the second advisor replied.

5 miles of the coast of Oshima Island

Andrei Klumystef and a few servants were all nervously standing around waiting for the boat to arrive at Oshima Island. Andrei finally ruled all the Balkans and was ecstatic about that. While he was nervous for the conversation he was excited to discuss certain matters. Matters like the Athens Pact. He spat on the ground just to hear about it. Despite reuniting almost all of the Balkans this pact could ruin his whole plans of political stability in the Kingdom. He also wanted to know foreign leaders better and discuss economics as well. Andrei adorned a military uniform with tassels and different military badges. One of them was for his leadership against the Athens Pact to drive them out of Yurizlansia.

After traveling thousands of miles, the Emperor's personal yacht and decommissioned Ship-of-the-line, the Revolver, reaches its destination. The Dragomerian port of Oshima on Oshima Island. Several minutes ago, the Captain had asked for permission to dock the rather unusually large craft. It's key passenger, Emperor Carlos Jimenez, sat in his study aboard the vessel, pondering on the meeting which is to come. He was slightly annoyed at the thought of arriving late, but he knew that necessary delays could not be avoided. Staring outside a nearby window, he noticed foreign ships outside. He thought of the fellow dignitaries that would also be visiting and of this unprecedented event that he had agreed to attend. With the thought and purpose of the Tokyo Conference in mind, he exited his room in the hopes that the ship had finally docked and that he would finally be able to disembark from the old ship.

Don't you mean Oshima Island? No foreign ships are allowed in Tokyo Bay, regardless of purpose.

Narration:
The foreign visitors had made it to Oshima Island. The ships were docked up in the docks of Oshima Island. The Ascooban visitors were granted permission to dock their vessel right in a spot at the port area directly next ot the ship that would take the visitors into Tokyo. After the visitors had boarded the vessel, it immediately took of for Tokyo Bay. After ten minutes passed into the trip, the bars and restaurant spaces on it opened up serving pristine seafood from Japan and Japanese alcoholic beverages.

After two hours, the ship was passing through the "Dragon's Mouth", the common name for the entrance into Tokyo Bay. As the ship passed by, the new monument, was clearly visible on the left side of the ship. The 60 meter tall monument, including the 10 meter tall pedestal, shown brightly in the sun. The Black and White Dragons appeared to be circling each other in a helix pattern with their mouths open towards a golden sphere at the top of the monument. The monument, both imposing and inspirational was an architectural marvel. The only blemish in the scene was the turrets, barely visible, but present, and purposed with protecting the harbor. In addition, another statue, similar to the one seen on the left side, being built on the right side of the entrance into Tokyo Bay.

After a few more hours passed, Tokyo came into view. The city consisted of many pandoga-style buildings, many up to thirty floors tall. Many gardens and estates of could be seen as the ship neared the harbor. Once the ship finally docked, many samurai, formed lines to create a path for the visitors. At the end of the lines, automobiles were parked awaiting the visitors to enter them.

A single person moved right up to the ship and welcomed the visitors. He said,"Welcome, esteemed guests. The conference is in the Imperial Japanese Palace. The automobiles at the end of this line of samurai shall take each of you to the palace."

After consulting with the captain, the Ascoobian Emperor walked to the exit via the appropriately extended stairway installed on the grand vessel. Having called his personal guard to their rooms for the duration of the visit to this foreign land, for perhaps the first time in his life, he truly felt vulnerable.

At the bottom of his stairway, he was met by armed men that he assumed were the local warrior-class, Samurai. They led him to a large vessel that would take him to Tokyo. Boarding the ship, he noticed inscription written on the sides of the ship. Not being too familiar the local dialects and those of Eastern Asia in general, he only was able to understand that a group of those writings spelled out the word "Dragon". The rest of the two-hour voyage was uneventful until the ship neared Tokyo Bay other than the usual drink of imported alcohol from the ship's bars. On each sides of the Bay, the Emperor spotted a stunning metal Dragon monolith. Positioned in a manner that the Emperor could infer to be protective, despite one appearing to still be under construction.

"No wonder they need more workers. They're trying to build these miracles of engineering."; he whispered to himself.

About to begin disembarking, the Emperor was quite surprised when many more of these Dragomerian Samurai appeared to create a path for the mismatched band of dignitaries. This path led to a Dragomerian spokesperson, who warmly greeted the foreigners to his homeland and had informed them that the automobiles behind him would take each group to their majesty's palace. The Emperor felt a sense of relief, that he would be thrown into the deadly game in which he was almost raised by his recently deceased father to play; the game that is referred to as politics. In this particular case, it would be international politics.

The KGS Govern arrives from Danielle. The Arreth naval ensign fly's high over the large steamer. Sailors hurry to open the gate and lift the stairs down. Several sailors run off the boat and stand at attention. A tall man steps off, it's Arthur Raymond,Prime Minister of Arrethtrae. As the PM steps off another man slowly starts his way down, he is the Foreign Affairs and International Development Minister, Sir Polis James III. After the men get on dry land their staff of about 6 people file off the steamer, including Admiral William Wells. The Prime Minister and the others begin to look around for the other delegations. Then seeing the others getting into cars, the Arreth delegation get into the other cars waiting to go to the palace.

Olympia, Neigeland
It was early July of 1903, and Chief of the Session, Oscar Friedrich, was about to embark on his first foreign diplomatic trip in his role, since being elected last year. The rough journey across the Pacific would take several weeks on the State Yacht, but the chance to build relations with one of Neigeland's closest and most powerful neighbors - and the opportunity to build trade deals - was too good to miss. The trip will involve a long period away from his family, but offered a chance to talk politics with one of his closest advisers - Frank Häussler - which he both loved and loathed. They hardly agreed on anything. Joining the Chief and his adviser on the trip was Adolar Lischke, the Chief Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Kai Freitag, the Secretary of State for National Infrastructure & Development. Oscar Friedrich hoped the team would present a formidable force in discussing trade agreements and during diplomatic maneuvers.

Oshima Island, Dragomerian Islands
The sun was setting over Oshima Island, and it was beautiful. The landscape of the Japanese Islands has long been hailed in Neigeland and abroad, but to see it in person was stunning. Upon seeing the island, Oscar turned to Frank, quickly uttering "It's stunning. Hopefully this sets a good tone for our trip?"
"I'm sure it does, sir," Frank replied, in assurance. Upon their arrival, they were hurried to the vessel that would take them to Tokyo - the heart of the Dragomerian Islands. Being a bit of an architectural fanatic, Adolar had heard about the statues that stood at the Dragon's Mouth, but they seemed vastly more imposing than he could ever have imagined. Gleaming examples of Dragomerian power and wealth, they were capable of subduing even the most violent of individuals. Their entrance into the Dragomerian Islands had been amazing. Utterances among the delegation about how "we should spruce up Olympia, after this...", followed by quick bursts of laughter were heard as they headed into the automobiles that would take them to the Imperial Palace.

All the attendees got into the automobiles. Once they were all in and seated, the cars started driving off towards the Imperial Palace. They passed by many Pandoga-style buildings and several parks. Soon, they reached a moat. The cars stopped and the visitors could see that the road dropped off directly into the moat and resumed on the other side; however, after the person in the leading car got out and signaled across the moat, a steel bridge with gold trimming rose out of the moat, clearly as a work of mechanical parts and hydraulics. Once the bridge was in place, the cars resumed on their trip until they stopped directed in front of the Imperial Japanese Palace, being a massive pandoga-style castle with many plants and statues around the Palace complex. The cars parked around a fountain, which depicts a golden dragon rising out of the water as it rose ten meters into the air. The head of the dragon, looking south with its mouth angled 45 degrees downward, so that water flowed from its mouth into the fountain basin. As the visitors got out of their cars, the large doors to the palace had opened and Japanese Emperor/king Ryūō (龍王) had walked out. He said, "Welcome to my palace, my esteemed guests. Fallow me and I will lead you to the meeting room to start the conference. Once it gets late, you will be shown to your rooms. Follow me."

The Arrethtrae delegation gets out of the cars. As they look around at the palace, the Minister says to the Prime Minister "The have really pulled out all the stops for this conference haven't they Arthur?" The Prime Minister and the others walk up the steps and follows the Emperor. "Make sure and get the gift out of the car." the PM says to one of his staff.

Emperor Jimenez spent his entire ride through Tokyo gazing out of his automobile's window. His gaze was focused on the architecture and pondered on how a civilization unaffected or influenced by the colonial European Powers possessed the capabilities to construct the nation's wonders and build an equally powerful society on the opposite side of the planet.

In what felt like no time at all, the drive to the Imperial Palace was over. Seeing the other delegations exit their respective vehicles, the Emperor did as well. Two large doors of the palace opened to reveal the Dragomerian Emperor. He greeted the most likely half cocfused foreigners and offering to guide them to the meeting place. Emperor Jimenez was thankful that the international conference would be starting immediately and followed the Dragomerian Emperor's lead. Upon spotting the Arreth delegation, he regretted his decision to make the trip alone. At least his DoFA ould have been of use in these sorts of situations.

OOC: I mean that, not Tokyo Bay. Sorry.

President McCormick looked out the window the whole time seeing all the monuments and structures of the area. He was impressed with the architecture of a place mostly untouched by European powers. His thoughts then turned to how the meeting would proceed.

Tokyo, Dragomerian Islands
The journey through Tokyo of the Neigelandic delegation, and that of the other guests, showcased the power and majesty that the Dragomerian Islands possessed. Often overlooked in it's influence, the country remains one of the world's leading great cultural, economic and military powers. The Imperial Palace complex was perhaps the most iconic part of the journey - it's pagonda-shaped roofs dominated the surrounding landscape, and left quite an impression in the Chief and his second-hand men. Tight in conversation over domestic economic policy and the progress with the National Railroads Commission, Oscar, Frank, Adolar and Kai stepped out of their automobile and headed inside the palace, following a warm greeting from and a customary bow to the Dragomerian Emperor, of course. As they headed inside, Oscar turned to the others quickly and said, "We've got to get this right and we've got to make sure we get this right. Understood?" - they all uttered quiet assurances in response.

Ryūō (龍王) lead them all into a large room that had one door on each wall except a wall that only had windows. A central table which was elegantly carved to depict dragons circling the table. The legs of the table themselves were carved to look like dragons. He directed everyone to sit in any of the chairs around the table. He himself sat down into a golden chair, once again with dragons depicted as the armrests and legs, as well as an ouroboros adorning the back of the chair. All the other chairs had similar designs, but were made of silver. Each chair had cushioning on the seat area and the back of the chair. Once, each of the visitors were seated, samurai shut the doors and one stood at each side of the three doors. Ryūō (龍王) then said, "Let us begin this meeting. At dinner time, your meals will be brought into this very room. During this conference, do not mind the person at the desk in the corner of this room, as he will be writing down the events and progress of this meeting. Any guards can either wait in the waiting room through the door on the side which I am facing or they may decide to sit at the benches against the wall if you all would like; however, this room does have an occupancy load."

OOC: The edit is because I forgot about the guards.

Emperor Jimenez entered the room, first noticing the luxurious table that took up most of the room and then the transparent walls of glass. For a few moments he decided on where he would be more comfortable sitting. In the end, he chose to sit somewhere in between the Arreth and Washintonian dignitaries. Hoping that choosing to sit between two key North American allies would do him good for the rest of the conference.

Upon taking his seat on one of the similarly designed chairs, Emperor Jimenez began to listen to the instruction of the Dragomerian Emperor, who had introduced himself as Emperor Ryūō, in order to know on what he would expect for this all too important conference. He raised an eyebrow in surprise, as it was unknown to him that the Dragomerians had also developed strict building codes. He thought the achievement quite impressive. Realizing that he was getting off-track yet again, he shooed away his distracting thoughts and returned his attention to the words of the other world leaders. However, he only caught the Arreth Prime Minister's words.

Realizing that the question was intended for him as well, he replied in a neutral tone; "It would be a good idea. We most likely do have much to discuss.".
