Civilization XI: Play the Multiverse - (ripped from T&T flavour text) The PTFS's Civilization XI is a 4X video game of the Civilization Successors series developed after the collapse of Firaxis and 2K during World War IV, the game itself developed by Floatstone Studios of the PTFS and released by Singapore Technologies Entertainment on March 6 2082. Since then, versions for virtual reality devices, other computers and OSes, etc, were released across the multiverse as the PTFS started to distribute it beyond its own universal walls. It is a game with constantly updated content so as to include various nations around the multiverse the PTFS has discovered, and also to improve the overall experience. As of July 2089 in the PTFS's home universe, there are over 6000 civilizations playable, ranging from New Frenco Empire to Ashkera to Multiversal Domanaeii to Greater Mackonia to Riysa to Huda and Gawd knows what else. Of course, original 'earthly' civilizations are still featured, but significantly impaired in comparison to the 'multiversal' civilizations playable.
The game has gained huge popularity since its release, with about every single PTFS citizen owning a copy and over quadrillions playing across the multiverse. However it has received criticism for its biased representation of some multiversal civs, namely those with not that good relations with the PTFS. Its hardware requirements are also destructive to anyone without a sizeable quantum computer, and even then you need a quantum computer for the minimal lag-less experience.
Despite running on a whole new engine capable of supporting multi-stage gameplay from a mere tribe to an inter-universal empire, it inherits most of its features from Civilization 5, such as the hexagonal grids. It wouldn't be too unfamiliar with a Civ player only touching Civ 5 once they get into it. However of course it has multiple new layers, for example an interstellar expansion layer in a format combining that of Spore and Galactic Civilizations, a temporal intervention layer with temporal wars, the occasional inter-universal stage and finally the state where one hex on the map is one universe. Zooming infinitely into tiles from one layer to a lower one is an annoying feature of the game (alongside some other realistic elements such as stationing units on specific locations of a tile, random events, etc), and it sure costs you a lot of hardware, but at least there's an option that keeps the game simple and removes the laggy factors, back to the good ol' days when rushing settlers was the only thing you did. Game settings are insanely customizable, you can even cap which era the game ends and even how a specific civilization ends. Assassinate other civ's leaders and a new one from the list would be up, blah blah blah...it may take your entire life to just know every feature.
But yes, now you can play as your father/motherland and have an epic showdown of time with great nations of the other corners of the multiverse. Enjoy, provided you have a powerful computer.
Features: - Ever-updated content, the thing starts downloading packages of whatever's new whenever you're connected to the internet. This however results in massive internet bills so please open when turning off your wi-fi!
- A list of civs playable long as one kiloparsec. Literally.
- Gritty realism, see the flavour text
- Spore/GalCiv-styled FT expansion - CAN YOU NOT FUCKING READ THE FLAVOUR TEXT ABOVE???!!!!
- Gr8 graphics - this is made by a fucking FT multiversal empire
- Computer-burning capabilities. please purchase a quantum computer to play unless you want an explosion to happen
- ...and more if you play the thing
- BETTER THAN PORN!
