Operation Miracle extended to SRC

Operation Miracle, a Puertollanoan-led program to create medical clinics and medical service for humanitarian use has been extended to the Socialist Republic of the Congo. Several clinics have been formed throughout the territory of the SRC to provide free and quality healthcare to the citizens of the Socialist Republic, manned with doctors from the Bolivarian Republic to service them. This expert intervention from trained medical doctors in Puertollano will help in fighting a possible Ebola outbreak in the Congo (or at least SRC), that is threatening to re-emerge and infect more than before. Mass-produced Ebola vaccines are being flown into the capital of the SRC to be distributed and the clinics have started their secondary work in discovering a cure for new developing strains of the Ebola disease. (OOC info you don't know, Operation Miracle's other purpose, beyond providing free healthcare, is to promote socialism and Castilloism. To their patients, each doctor would give pro-socialist material and help organise Castilloist candidates in the upcoming election.) On top of this, the Bolivarian Republic of Puertollano has endorsed the SRC as the legitimate government of the Congo, having control of the capital and the legitimacy of elections. The Bolivarian Republic has offered the SRC a 0 interest loan for the construction of a new Assembly building for the fledgling democracy.

Rail Project May Be Scrapped, National Diet to debate today

By Han Na-young, Diet Correspondent
Speculations that the National Railway Project, that is mainly conducted by an Orostani company and was a "Symbol of the Pursuit of Peace between the Entete and the FSR" according to Prime Minister Sumeragi, will be scrapped has risen after ruling party Diet member Sakamoto Izuno has brought allegations of corruption in the project to the floor of the Lower House.
According to Member Sakamoto, the FSR government may have bribed members of Sumeragi's cabinet to get project approval from the Cabinet. He has also brought up that the project fund allocation was not even discussed in the Diet, nor was the Mikado(King) even consulted before the start of construction.
Due to all these recent issues, the future of the National Raiway Project is questionable. Moreover, the members of the Diet who are pushing through the Dietary Review of the Project are known to be staunch anti FSR.

I knew it, the commies paid our government, or atleast the top of it, to get the project through.

Sumeragi just shot himself in the foot. You can't say "I am the Senate" in Bengal. I want his boss, His Majesty the Mikado to get rid of him before he brings further harm to us and himself.....

DRC Civil War, April 1st, 2022 Update.

The DRC Civil War threatens to enter a new phase as two factions find themselves in extremely dire predicaments. In the HCA vs the ICC war in the north of the country, biological weapons have seem to have been deployed. The ebola crisis has hit a fever pitch, helped only the South American and SRC efforts to contain it. However, it is ravaging the northern war as it has been seen that the ICC is purposely sending infected people to fight the HCA troops, as well as dumping bodies into drinking water and using some of their own sick troops to perform suicide bombings in packed areas to spread the virus via blood and flesh.

The HCA itself has begun raiding French weapon depots on the border of the CAR but the effects of the virus have become apparent and even such advanced weaponry cannot help them in this state. If the HCA looses two more major battles, it may be finished in the DRC.

Meanwhile, the HFF continues to pummel the TDF and has pushed them back harder then ever. The HFF now completely surronds Rwanda's borders and border skirmishes are becoming increasingly common. Also common are reports o HFF fighters "purging" suspects TDF dissidents and spies in the tows they come to control. Many CSN observers are worried a new Tutsi genocide is coming into place as the HFF has been seen murdering what seem to be civilians under the claims they are combatants.

Meanwhile the SRC and HDMC continue to spread unopposed for the moment. The SRC is gaining ground due to its aid of the general populace around them and wiping out smaller, gang like factions as well as immediately restoring destroyed infrastructure. The HDMC is gaining ground due to its message of a real democratic Congo nations as well as their strong connection with a primarily Christian nation. They condemn the HCA, calling them heretics. While they cannot repair infrustrture to the degree the SRC has, they are adapt at training and arming the populace they do encounter and liberate. These two factions may be on a collision course in the future.

WATERGATE BY DHAKA'S GATE

The World Worker brings together a report today created with the testimony of a Bengal MP of the ruling party. The World Worker has conducted an investigation, and has now confirmed without one shred of doubt that the corruption allegations against Bengal opposition politicians and the FSR are false. The WW has acquired recordings of multiple meetings between Bengali MPs and government officials discussing the conspiracy and conspirators, the leader of the current ruling party speaking to a group of businessmen about how to kick “the communists” from Bengal, and communications record including over 500 text messages. The investigation in its entirety has been published in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Local groups in Bengal are working to spread the information around as much as possible, and several have begun organizing protests which will likely have attendance in the thousands. Much of the Bengali ruling establishment has been implicated in the investigation. The king of the country may also be implicated in the criminal activity. In response to these developments, the NIB has announced that if the Bengali government chooses to remove the FSR from the country, all work on the rail system will cease and all Federation industrial secrets will be made secure.

AusMET: "All we want is for peace to return to East Timor"
March 30,2022 | Jessica Nate Sanchez
Image
An Australian soldier watches over men caught carrying military grade weapons
DILI - As the Australian Mission to East Timor slowly takes administrative control of Dili and several major northern population areas, the military's Operation Enduring Freedom, once announced to be a humanitarian mission, has undergone changes to now be considered as military operations, a change that some people at home and abroad are questioning.

Over a month since the Legislature House announced HR-34 A , about 9,000 combat personnel (4,000 Support Combat personnel) have arrived to take part in Operation Enduring Freedom, boosting Australian military numbers to almost 18,000 strong. AusMET officials have stated that these troop increase is part of the new Australian territory's fight to combat radical and extremist ideas, ideas that according to the AusMET and the Army can lead to anarchy and chaos in the small island country.

AusMET is sending out the particular message to the Liberal Movement Party, aka the "LMP", a former East Timorese political party that has been a major cause of the current instability and upheaval in East Timor. Ever since LMP supporters established a series of military militias in several towns and villages after repeated attempts to overthrow the previous government, thousands of people have become internally displaced refugees, creating a refugee and humanitarian crisis not seen since the fall of China to Imperial Japan. The initial launch of Operation Enduring Freedom as a humanitarian operation was able to help secure and stabilize the East Timorese government through detaining LMP insurgents as well as helping government forces secure areas where local warlords have risen up to take for their own while simultaneously helping East Timor communities with relief goods and medical aid. However, the LMP continued its attacks leading to serious economic turmoil and poverty among the population, ushering massive protests against the government and the Australian presence, prompting political heads to turn into the worsening situation and find a solution to it.

As LMP attacks have become more and more frequent, AusMET has agreed with the Australian military to launch staunch action against LMP networks, most notably in the central and southern East Timor, with the LMP supposedly having several base camps in the central mountain ranges that harbor men and weapons as well as supplies gathered from local supporters. With F-19s, AH-17s and MBT-18 vehicles readily available due in part to easy access from Australia, AusMET is expecting LMP influence to rapidly fall.

FSR Investigation on HCA Armaments

On the later stages of the Third Congo War, the Holy Congo Army had access to FSR-based weaponry. CSN observers noted that the stockpiles appeared to have come from Mauritania, which would mean that they were leftovers from the weaponry the MPLF had utilized in the past. However, how the weaponry got over to the HCA is still a mystery. As a result of that a while back ago FSR investigators were dispatched to try to crack the puzzle. After the investigation was over, a report of it would likely be published to try to close the case once and for all.

Akbar in the Prime Ministerial Residence
Akbar Addresses Nation: Maps out Foreign and Domestic Policy Vision

Prime Minister Akbar, the first Prime Minister of the new Persian Republic, and potentially the man who will be remembered as a transformative figure in the history of the country laid out his vision for the future in a nationally televised address from his residence. The first half of his term has been full of economic reconstruction after the collapse of the Persian Gulf Union. The construction of a healthy Democracy, and a robust foreign policy with a globally interactive Persia. This has been a wobbly road, with a debatable war. But the tenure of Akbar has been definitive for the country. In this speech he outlined a future to continue to reconstruct the country, with new infrastructure projects, as well as new measures to empower unions, the base of the Social Democratic Union. On the foreign front, he reaffirmed the French-Zackarothian Alliance, to the chagrin of the left of his party.
"With eyes towards the future, we are optimistic, we are ready, we are proud. We are Persians."

Record protests in Bogota

Civil action in Puertollano have grown to exponentially higher levels since the declaration of an election for the National Assembly, the countries legislature. Today, these civil actions have come to ahead in the streets of Bogota, where both anti-government and pro-government protesters met. Leader of the Opposition, Alejandro Piena called for the national day of action against socialism and against the President to kick off the election season. The rank and file of the CRPT, the major Opposition Party to the Movement Towards Socialism Party are majority middle-class to upper-middle class voters who some have been the subject of substantial tax increases under the current administration. "I can't afford to be an entrepreneur!" one Opposition supporter said in Bogota, "The endless increases on corporate tax and minimum wages will destroy our countries small and medium businesses." The pro-government protest on the other side of the city was in favour of President Castillo and his socialist reforms in the country. The protest made up of working class and lower income people, all who have had their lives substantially improved under the President through social programs, made their voices clear. "President Castillo is what our country has needed for a long time, someone who will protect our natural resources from the greed of North America and Europe and spend its' bounty on the poor!" Both protests have broken records respectively for the biggest pro and anti government protests in recent history.

PESHAWAR HERALD

Almihrian Government on the Australian Conquest

MASTUNAR- As a close trade and arms partner of Australia, the Islamic Kingdom of Almihria supports the Australian campaign of East Timor calling it a "campaign of peace." As a social and welfare-oriented state, Almihria believes that under the former elitist rule, the people of East Timor were not treated the way they deserved to be treated with a widespread poverty and injustice. However, now when the Austrlian peace-keepers are enforcing justice in East Timor, Almihria hopes that the civilians will get what they were striving for but could not achieve under a corrupt plutocratic system

Hands off of Puertollano

ISLAMABAD-The already tense situation involving Puertollano has suddenly escalated over the last few days, as the opposition groups of protesters met.
According to the government sources, this sharp escalation of the protests in Puertollano comes after long European campaign of destabilizing the Puertollanan economy and society. Imperialism cannot tolerate, in its so-called “back yard,” governments that use their nations’ wealth, in Puertollano’s case derived from its massive oil resources, to improve the lives of working people and the poor rather than deliver that wealth to fill the coffers of transnational corporations. This is the very nature of imperialism; it’s why a better system is necessary. The Emir Khalid Fahdi, who is famous for promoting the economic pricniples of the Soviet Union in the Middle East, urged the European leaders to not interfere with the internal affairs of Columbia because it is a war which they cannot win. The people of Almihria stand with the people of Puertollano in a long-lived comradeship.

Anti Sufism Protests

Thousands of people came out on the streets of Mezekesh a city near the Kashmiri border to protest agaisnt a Sufi minority in the province. The protestors are chanting slogans like "Get out of my country" and "Not welcome." The protests come following an increasing Sufi presence in the Provincial administrative posts. Many think that their are robbing the common folk of the opportunity to run for government and get their high positions within the government through bribery.

As for now, no special guards are being sent to the region and the local police seem to have a grip over the situation.

MOSCOW TODAY

The government in Moscow expressed its support for the protestors in Puertollano stating

“The evil government of Puertollano has caused enough conflict in the world, there needs to be change in The continent of South America requires change and Magellan has demonstrated what passion can do.”

Moscow has also expressed discontent with the growing African conflict and says went on to blame the South American socialists for the matter. Tanzania has remained untouched and safe for the moment but Russia is ready to defend its strong ally.

Akbar Scoffing at Islamists in Parliament
Polish Woman Without Hijab Murdered: Islamists call for Mandatory Chador

In a tragic incident, a Polish woman of 24 years, an immigrant from the Calin Civil War, of which there are many in Persia was beaten to death by a mob of Islamist youth. Walking down a quiet street in the bright afternoon, a large mob approached her from multiple directions. After attempting to run, she was hit to the ground, before the mob proceeded to rape and then beat this poor individual to death with tools. Police instantly released an arrest warrant for 14 individuals, off which were male and members of the Knights of the Faith, an Islamist group. 6 of been arrested, and have been charged with assault and murder in the first degree. They face at maximum, the death penalty, and at minimum 35 years in prison. Prime Minister Akbar spoke to the press, calling the murder "a horrific act of malice. An immense tragedy." Polish Immigrant Groups have cried out for justice, and have martyred this Kamila Gomułka. They've called for strict prosecution, a stronger police presence in the area, and for police action against as of now legal Islamist groups. UIC Leader Saeed Jalili called the murder, "a disgusting, revolting event. I hope for swift justice, but also action." But Jalili took the time to call for mandatory Chadors to avoid future violence, seen as relic of the Khomeini era. Akbar scoffed at this speech, calling it silly, nonsensical, and an insult to emancipated women.

A Look Back at Our Nation's Founding
Image

As the day of founding of the San Martínian Republic approaches, it is important to remember our shared history and the many struggles we have gone through. As former colonies of Spain, the Viceroyalty of Río de la Plata and the Captaincy General of Chile were liberated by our nation's namesake, Jose de San Martín. Holding similar pan-South American ideals as the liberator of northern South America, Simón Bolívar, and encouraged by the success of an independent united Grán Colombia, the two former colonies, with his encouragement, united less than a year after independence. However, that would not be the end of struggles for San Martínia. Like in other South American nations at the time, battle lines were drawn between those who supported a unitarian government, headed by Buenos Aires, and those who preferred a United States-modeled federalist government. At the Battle of Navarro, the forces of federalist president Manuel Dorrego dealt a crushing blow to the main unitarian forces and ended the civil war in 1828. Had the reinforcements of federalist Juan Manuel de Rosas not arrived in time or had San Martín not been able to put an end to support for the unitarian forces in his army as it returned from the Cisplatine War, president Dorrego might have been captured and killed by the unitarian forces, extending the civil war by many years. His decision to place the capital of the nation in the central city of Cordóba was a further strategic move that undermined unitarian unity, as Cordóba itself was one of the leaders of the movement but Buenos Aires had intended for a unitarian government to center on itself. Despite short revivals of unitarian ideology, president Dorrego had managed to end a potentially disastrous civil war in its infancy, exuding an image of political stability that probably helped encourage the high levels of European immigration in the mid-1800s to mid-1900s and the industrialization program that began in the mid-1880s.

President Sánchez Blasts Puertollano's Castillo

The other day, President Sánchez criticized a number of things about President Castillo in Puertollano and his policies. For one, he encouraged the anti-government protesters to "speak their minds" and to "not allow anyone to silence their voice." He continued that the protesters "should translate their frustrations to the ballots."

He also criticized the continued Puertollanoan occupation (through a puppet regime) of the ABC islands, lambasting Castillo as conducting the very imperialism he claims to hate. "No truly anti-imperialist government," he said, "would conduct such actions as Puertollano." Additionally, he also called Puertollano's exit from the CSN as "indicative of the nation's apparent desire to escape international law and consequences for its actions." The Puertollanoan BCAC, he said, was "nothing more than another attempt by Puertollano to extend its influence." He also offered condolences to the families of Zimbabweans who were "considered casualties by Puertollano's government."

Image
Deals signed with Almihria

The nation of Almihria has recently signed with San Martínia a variety of deals. The most prominent of these deals include a cultural and student exchange program to encourage cross-cultural exchange between the two nations. Additionally, San Martínia has agreed to waive tariffs on Almihrian textiles and natural gas and Almihria has agreed to do the same for San Martínian foodstuff and raw and refined minerals.

Perhaps as a result of this move, San Martínian iron mining companies and the state-owned copper mining company CODELCO have been allowed to develop some existing Almihrian deposits of their respective metals in addition to being able to prospect for sites of new mineral deposits. For most of these companies, this is their second international expansion in the area for the past couple of years, the first being to the Zackarothian African Commonwealth.

Since Almihria recently signed economic deals with the hostile nation of Puertollano, these moves seem especially surprising. However, it is likely that president Sánchez sees the nation as not part of the Puertollanoan sphere of influence despite such deals. President Sánchez has been very outspoken of his dislike for Puertollano's Castillo.

Puertollanoan Protests; a well deserved criticism of their political establishment & what needs to happen next
April 27th, 2022
Written by Albert Stringer

Time and again, we hear Castillo preach the same rhetoric and criminalize European and North American imperialism. As the latest protests show, the people of Puertollano are no longer buying it.

Castillo's government has time and again called out us North Americans and Europeans, using words like "Imperialist" to describe us and our policies, and painting us as the real threats to the national sovereignty of the Third World and themselves as the saviour of these oppressed peoples. They accuse us of Imperialism in spite of the fact that the North American Federation has done nothing but protect truth, justice, and above all, respect national sovereignty around the World.

Thankfully, with the recent actions in Zimbabwe, Castillo's government showed themselves for who they really are.

The Castillo government quite clearly and actively attempted to cover up the Zimbabwe government's usage of anthrax against its people. Thankfully, the CSN for all its faults, came through and proved to the World that it is indeed a fact that the Zimbabwe government has been utilizing anthrax against its own people, and by extension with recent treaties, further showed Puertollanoan suppression of the internet and support for an authoritarian regime in spite of their damning actions against their own people.

Many times over we hear these same people define Imperialism as a malevolent policy towards foreign nations as a way of using military, economic, and/or political influence/power for selfish gain. They have quite clearly done just this in Zimbabwe, and if they were so willing to do this in Zimbabwe, imagine what they could be doing in Congo, in Nigeria, and elsewhere in the World. If they are so morally depraved as to allow this to happen in Zimbabwe and not take responsibility nor action, imagine what other crimes they have committed.

Time and again, they suppress news outlets in foreign countries like done in the Nativist islands and in Zimbabwe, yet claim to be protecting freedom of other nations, and then when backed into a corner accuse Europe and North America of being the imperialist. The truth is that their actions are objectively imperialist going by their own definition of imperialism and our actions were anti-imperialist.

As quite clearly shown in the riots, Puertollano is doing more injustices outside of its international policy, but also to its own small and average sized businesses. It is an objective truth that businesses in order to grow more successful, they need to be able to make money, determine its own policies and to allow it to expand with its only restrictions existing to prevent monopoly, prevent corruption and protect worker's rights.

The only good outcome that could come of this is either from a moderate social democrat or moderate conservative victory, and even then they would have much fixing to do both internally and in international relations. Either way, Castillo has to go. Only good could come from it and it would allow for a healing of relations between the NAF and Europe, and would enable Puertollano to become trusted by the international community once more, and would likely enable an economic boom so long as their policy maintains said aforementioned protections.

Worker Collectives armed with weapons

A loyal faction of the Castilloist movement in the Bolivarian Republic of Puertollano have been the worker collectives across the nation and today, President Castillo has rewarded them with greater right's in self-determination. On live national television the President decried calls from the Russian Government to overthrow his administration, calling it a "thinly veiled threat of regime change" and he dismissed comments from the Magella President, calling him a "tool for European hegemony over South America." In an obvious reaction to these threats and attacks from North American media, President Castillo has ordered worker collectives to be armed with small-arms across the country. The President justified this break from the norm (with weapons such as guns being contraband without proper authorisation) by claiming the latest threats from the Russian Government for the Bolivarian Republic to be overthrown was a step too far. "They want to destroy the Bolivarian Revolution!" announced the President on the television. "We, the worker's, cannot sit down idly as a far right-wing coup is orchestrated against us. We need to be ready for the day they attempt to seize the Bolivarian Revolution from us. Puertollano will not be a European puppet ever again!"

Mikado inspects Self Defense Forces at National Olympics Ground, more cooperation with Entete

By Mayuri Hyakuya, Staff Correspondent

Image

Today, on the eve of founding of the Royal Bengal Self Defense Forces, His Majesty the Mikado, and Prime Minister Sumeragi has inspected the Self Defense Forces in a parade at the National Olympics Ground in Shin Minato. The Royal Bengal Self-Defense Forces have been Bengal’s de-facto military since the Dove Revolution of 1978, and has taken a defense-only position since ever since its inception.

But the speech today by Prime Minister Sumeragi, who’s government has been facing scrutiny from socialists at home and abroad over the matter of the National Railway Project, has confirmed that Bengal will move away from its core constitutional ideal of pacifism indefinitely.

“The conflict in Nigeria in which our MidoriNoHito(People in Green) of the Self-Defense Forces have shed blood along with soldiers of other Allied nations, and the following conflicts in other nations of Africa, has proved that to fight the socialists, all countries that maintain Freedom as an important ideal must come together, and take the fight to the Socialists themselves. However, it cannot be achieved if Bengal takes a backseat while our allies are being slaughtered. Therefore, to respect our constitutional ideals of freedom and democracy, and also to foster closer relations with our freedom loving friends in the West, I ask for closer economic and military cooperation among our countries.”

After the Prime Minister’s speech, the Minister of Defense, Akio Mizutani took the podium, and announced the creation of a multinational base in the middle of the Bay of Bengal. The Mikado has been known to be silent in both of these issues

Power 27, Mugshot
6 of Remaining Gamulka Murder Suspects Murdered by Foreign Vigilantes

In a surprising development, 6 individuals, suspected of murdering a Polish refugee and members of a radical Islamist group were killed by Canadian vigilantes. The 6 were in a motel lobby, when they were abruptly interrupted by a by three individuals, three young males from NAF. One of which had a shotgun, who fired two rounds of buckshot, killing two of them and wounding a hotel concierge. Frightened people in the motel called the police, and soon after the others killed the remaining 4 suspects with a combination of the shotgun and handguns, police cars arrived en masse. Two of the vigilantes were killed in the ensuing firefight, while the last surviving one, one Jeremias Power was arrested by the local police. These vigilantes apparently arrived as tourists a thorough investigation has been launched. Two suspects of the Gomulka murder remain at large.

Singapore Enters World Stage

For the first time in Singapore's history the nation made a major effort to have an effect on the international community. Last week, the Singapore Proposed Sovereign Charter which eliminates Proxy Wars and creates international legislation to protect developing nations was passed 3 to 2 within the Council of Sovereign Nations. The passing of this Charter eliminates one of the most common international practices in the last 30 years and has the potential to ensure that peace is maintained within developing nations. President Haiping called the passing of the Charter "A new step forward for the world". The President and his administration have also made it very clear that Singapore will be active in the international community with the current goal of reforming the Council of Sovereign Nations, an origination which has been viewed as a European puppet and an overall ineffective body that is easily abused. Singapore's CSN Ambassador, Charles Kunwae, is the driving force behind the nation's push to reform the organization. The Architect of the Sovereign Charter and the newly proposed Economica currently on the CSN floor, Kunwae is a Singapore Native who studied in France, Germany, and the North American Federation. He was also Singapore's Ambassador to the Federation of Socialist States for five years in the previous administration. The CSN Ambassador has stated that he is "Aware that his ideas and reforms are not expected to be welcomed by all" but still feels "Compelled to take action" to make the CSN a proper international organization.

Kunwae has stated that he has several other pieces of legislation on the drawing board ranging from the voting process of the CSN to a standard fund for international aid for developing nations.

A New Wall

Throughout all of Singapore's history defense has been a major focus of every administration. The island city has always been in a vulnerable position with larger more powerful nations surrounding it an Singapore itself dependent on the world for nearly all of its resources. In modern warfare Singapore is particularly vulnerable due to missile attacks from both conventional and hypersonic weapons as the city lacks a large scale defense grid and instead utilizes fighter aircraft and ships to intercept inbound missiles. To solve this defense issues the government has passed a bill today funding the construction of Project Red Lion, a new defensive system that has been classified as top secret. What public information that is available about the project is that it is an anti-missile defense system that involves the creation of 25 towers around the perimeter of the city arrayed in a large circle. The designs of the towers and what technology is within them remains classified byt the initial base construction for several of the towers began today as construction vessels began to hammer supports into the waters around the city early this morning.

Opinion: Castillo's Actions are Dictatorial
Image

The other day, pro and anti-government protesters in Puertollano clashed, earning international attention, with sources from Russia, the NAF, and San Martínia itself speaking out against Castillo's regime. What did Castillo do in response? Nothing more than an obvious move to retain power. The politician gained the presidency most likely because of support from the workers of Puertollano. However, Castillo took his policies too far and created a fundamentally anti-business environment, although he still managed to keep worker support.

Now, Castillo has ordered for his largest base of support in the country to be armed with guns and other such weapons. There could be no reason for such action unless Castillo foresees losing in the next election. He no doubt aims to use his armed supporters to coerce or suppress voting opponents, or perhaps even to force his way back into power following an election loss. He even went so far as to classify him losing in the next election as a foreign-backed coup.

This obvious attempt to take advantage of and de-legitimize Puertollano's constitutionally-established electoral institutions in order to consolidate his own power and influence in the nation is characteristic of a dictator, not a president. All that's missing from his regime is human rights violations, which I'm sure future generations will uncover evidence of. He certainly has already pursued an active suppression of media that criticizes him, not to mention the obvious deflection of criticism from foreign leaders by grouping them all as "European puppets."

President Sánchez likely shares this opinion, having recently expanded on his opinion of Castillo, calling him "a dark spot in Puertollano's history." He further explained that "Castillo has done nothing but further destabilize the already fragile system of global politics, acting as, for all intents and purposes, a puppet of the FSR." When asked about the recent discovery of the meme account of the son of the San Martínian ambassador to Puertollano with thousands of followers (which posted images such as those to the right and frequently called Castillo "The King of Coke"), President Sánchez merely smiled and said that "freedom to express one's opinion is a fundamental human right."

THE MOCKINGBIRD FINDS A NEW NEST

The Central Intelligence Agency of the USA was once known as the world's most successful media control and terrorist organization the world over. Today the techniques pioneered by the CIA are now being used by intelligence agencies on multiple continents. Bengal, for example, had its media pay almost no attention to the revelations that their government planned to purge opposition to an arrangement with Europe against the FSR. There was not one single story in the Bengal paper of record, the Hsung Times, of the political revelations. The job of reporting and spreading the information has fallen to smaller news outlets and independent media. In San Martina, the paper of record, "El Mercurio" has run non-stop hit pieces on the FSR and Puertollano, branding the Puertollan president an FSR puppet and claiming human rights violations that do not exist. After the country left the FSR, they ran fake news that had been debunked by every credible outlet that wrote a story about it alleging that the FSR committed terrorist attacks in San Martina because a website was coded in interlingua. Even a casual observer of the website could prove that claim wrong! It is plainly obvious that the press in much of the capitalist world is not interested in objectivity or the facts, but in pushing the interests of their country's bourgeois.

Charles Kunwae - Singapore's International Man

Image
For the last month, Singapore has been boldly stepping onto the world stage under the leadership of President Haiping's Administration. However, one man in particular has led the charge, the newly appointed CSN Ambassador Charles Kunwae. The Ambassador has already proposed two major pieces of legislation within the CSN and is looking to expand on the base he has already made within the organization. The Singapore Gazette was able to get an exclusive with Ambassador Kunwae and we were able to get some insight into the question of the minds of our citizens: why should Singapore enter the international stage?

....Singapore as a nation has always refrained from entering the international stage for the most part. Sure the nation helped in humanitarian aid and small peacekeeping missions but that was the extent of our contributions. Previous ambassadors were more focused on international economics to keep Singapore the prosperous Asian Tiger that it is. However, with Proxy wars now dominating the globe and ideological views dividing the world on the level of the Soviet-American War it is only a matter of time before the conflicts of the world come to Singapore's shores. Singapore is in a unique position as a nation and society, we are an environmentally concise government that is a recognized economic titan. We have merged this capitalistic style economy with a socialist government that has been successfully maintaining power for over 70 years now by giving our citizens what they want. We have a modern and active military that is one of the strongest in the region to defend ourselves as well. Singapore is a melting pot of East and West, Socialism and Capitalism, cultures and ideas. So what better nation then us to try and rebuild the organization that has been tasked with leading the world.

However, I am not saying that I want Singapore to have a hand in every matter within the CSN or take control of the organization. It is a global body and as such Singapore has no right to control it any more then Europe or South America does. What I am saying is that it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, new laws that prevent the gross abuse of powers we have seen in the last decade, more support for nations struggling to build themselves up, and more enforcement of the laws set into place instead of expecting for the world to sort itself out. The CSN needs to be less of a military asset or a mudslinging contest and more of an active legislative body that fulfills its goals and mandates. That is what I want the CSN to be, not the puppet that is is today....

To the surprise of many officials in Singapore the public supports the Ambassador with 68% approval from the population for Singapore to take a more active role in the world. Whether this trend will continue or not remains to be seen.

Ambassador Kunwae Riding Success Wave

Last night the Economica passed by a slim last minute vote from Bangladesh 2-1 bringing the bill into the status of International law. This makes the bill Ambassador Kunwae's 2nd straight successful piece of legislation and he is hoping to make that number three with the proposal of the Peacekeeping Act currently on the CSN Floor. However, while the legislation has passed, the Ambassador is not overly pleased with the way it was passed stating:

"....The first proposal saw only six votes and the second saw half that. While I am ecstatic that the Bills passed this only proves that the CSN is in a sorry state with six active participates in the organization for a major piece of legislation."

The Ambassador has stated that while reforming the CSN is his main goal, the reforms will mean nothing unless he can get the world to back the broken organization. While the Ambassador has yet to state how he intends to regain international support for the CSN he has stated that he is in the process of coming up with a solution. Regardless, the public and rest of the government are hailing Kunwae's proposals as Singapore's greatest venture to date and support within the nation is only growing. The Government is even considering building a CSN Embassy Zone for international political meeting and Embassies within Singapore.

Military Plans Overhaul

As the military begins to build the towers of Project Red Lion the Navy and Army are beginning to make headway in receiving funding for major projects. The Army is looking for modernize its small arms and transport vehicles by purchasing military assets from nations like the NAF while the Navy is looking to modernize and expand the fleet with new corvettes and a new fleet of cruisers meant for power projection. The government has stated that while defense is a priority, the construction of the Red Lion Towers are the government's priority and it is unlikely that the military will get the full funding that it is requesting. To counter this, the Army is expanding its special forces and creating a new unit labled the Black Lions which will be supported by a new military project code-named Project Horizon which has been designated Top Secret. While Singapore's Special Forces have been more of a force to deal with terrorism and rapid response, the military is recognizing the fact that the city needs and offensive strike force should it fall into a state of war. Whether the Black Lions will be able to meet the challenge or not remains to be seen.

Singapore Draws Closer to Britain

Just over 70 years ago, Singapore was not a country but a colony of the nation of Great Britain and her people were the subjects of the British Empire. Today, while this is no longer the case, Singapore maintains friendly relations with the UK via connections within the Commonwealth that include trade and diplomatic actions. These friendly relations were furthered last week when the United Kingdom agreed to guarantee the independence of the island city state against any force that would threaten it. While some view this as Singapore once again being under British influence, a great many others welcome the return of the Empire and many of the older generation remember the wealth that Singapore saw under British rule. While no formal alliance or military basing rights have been given, President Haiping stated that while basing is an option there is no possibility of the creation of an Alliance with Britain simply due to the danger of being dragged into a new war with the rest of the world. Singapore and the British Empire appear to now be rekindling ties that stretch back to when Queen Victoria sat upon the throne and the possibilities are endless.

Opposition boycotts legislative elections

The Conservative Round-Table Party has announced it will boycott the upcoming legislative elections for the National Assembly, refusing to run candidates and asking for its supporters to refuse to arrive at the polling booths. Several elements in the party have leaked to the media that the not all of the entire party is happy with this course of action, and there are theories that a branch-off opposition party will be created to contest the election. The leader of the CRTP, Alejandro Piena, called for the resignation of President Castillo, saying their party would not contest any election until the President steps down. "He has too much power," Mr Piena said in a press conference. "Even if we took control of the National Assembly, the recent powers granted to him the new constitution would render our position in the National Assembly as moot." Isabella Jetil's New Social Party is set to contest the legislative election, so is the Communist Party of Puertollano and the Farmer's Party. In reaction to the latest article by El Mercurio, in which is depicts a photo-shopped image of President Castillo snorting cocaine and labels him a dictator, the Minister for Media and Telecommunications burnt a copy of the newspaper on live television. "Lying imperialist slander, be gone!" the Minister said, applying a lighter to the corner of the newspaper. The crowd of fierce supporters cheered, some breaking out into dance. The political scene has become far more divided in Puertollano than ever before, with both supporters and detractors of the government willing to do anything for their movements.

Bolivarian Courts rule in favour of FSR in border dispute

The Bolivarian Courts of the Americas and the Caribbean ruled on the first case today surrounding the disputed territories of the northern coastline of current San Martinia. This is what the released document states: 'It was in the War of the Pacific in 1879 that the nation of San Martinia invaded the Andean Federation, stripping the nation of the coastline along the Atacama region. San Martinia, like is still does, justified this invasion with a corporatist and imperialist rationale. The Andean Federation dared to nationalize the assets of Antofagasta Nitrate & Railway Company, who refused to pay taxation - outraged, the corrupt government of San Martinia was at the behest of the Antofagasta Nitrate & Railway Company. In 1879, from lobbying by Antofagasta Nitrate & Railway Company and European Governments, San Martinia invaded the Andean Federation and annexed the coastline which was the sovereign territory of the democratic nation. This is an injustice that has still not been settled and San Martinia continues to illegally occupy the southern-most coastline of the Andean Socialist Republic, a member of the FSR. San Martinia has no legal case for the annexation or the tenable nature of its' occupation. Dignitaries from both the the Federation of Socialist Republics and the Republic of San Martinia must immediately convene in a meeting to be held in Bogota, Puertollano in the head-quaters of the BCAC to organise the transition from San Martinian control to the jurisdiction of the FSR.'

Recently, the Bolivarian Court of the Americas and the Caribbean, a little-known facsimile of the CSN that the nation of Puertollano created to attempt to enforce its will internationally, ruled that sovereign San Martinian territory (specifically, the provinces of Tarapacá and Antofagasta) won in the War of the Pacific are Andean and should be adminsitered by them. In addition to the fact that the BCAC is not recognized internationally, and, as such, its rulings are considered void, these regions remained officially uncontested by Andea. However, San Martinian officials still offered a response.

The War of the Pacific was between San Martinia and Andea over the disputed Atacama region. In 1866, the two nations signed a boundary agreement that established the 24° South parallel from the Pacific Ocean as the limit between the two countries. It also established a bipartite taxation zone between the 23rd and 25th parallels on the exportation of guano and minerals and a taxation-free zone on any other exports. Soon after, it was clarified with the Lindsay-Corral Protocol of 1872 that established a ban on unilateral increases in taxes and included nitrates as one of the products subject to the 1866 treaty. The two nations once again signed a boundary treaty in 1874 clarifying that nitrates would not be subject to tax increases against San Martinian companies. In 1878, Andea broke this treaty with an increased tax and when this tax was declared null by the subjected San Martinian company due to its illegality, Andea confiscated its property. As a result, San Martinia occupied the port of Antofagasta, receiving no opposition due to its 95% San Martinian population. Finally, war was declared.

After the San Martinian victory, the Treaty of Valparaiso was signed, ceding the provinces of Antofagasta, Tarapacá, Arica, and Tacna, although Tacna would later be returned in the 1929 Treaty of Lima. The Treaty of Peace and Friendship of 1904 reaffirmed the ceding of the provinces, delineating a new San Martinian-Andean boundary. In a show of friendship, San Martinia allowed tax-free Bolivian good transport and duty-free access to certain northern San Martinian Pacific ports. In 1975, due to continued Andean desire for sovereign sea access in the area despite the nation's long Pacific coast just north, San Martinia once again in a show of friendship opened negotiations on the matter but these negotiations never came to a viable solution and no documents were signed or drafted. As such, in addition to the fact that rulings from the Bolivarian Court of the Americas and the Caribbean are not considered valid due to its illegitimacy, there is no legal or historic backing to the decision made.

President Sanchez made similar comments, calling it "an obvious attempt by the Castillo administration to undermine international peace and stability." In a surprising show of unity, both chambers of the National Congress unanimously reaffirmed the validity of the Treaty of Valparaiso and the 1904 Treaty of Peace and Friendship and declared that no delegation would be sent to Bogota since there was no matter to discuss. One politician who wished to remain anonymous even joked "If I declared Puertollano sovereign San Martinian territory, would the BCAC consider that legal basis for annexation?"

This next part is not known to the public:

San Martinia has purchased three S4 ICBMs from France to be stationed on Isla Gonzalo, a sovereign San Martinian island outside the bounds of the South American nuke ban.

Cult of Castillo: The New Illuminati
Image

In response to an opinion piece I wrote a couple of days ago, which depicted a meme found on a secret social media account belonging to the son of the San Martinian ambassador to Puertollano, one of the Castillo regime's high-ranking politicians burned a copy of El Mercurio, declaring the paper to be full of imperialist lies. Typical Castillo-esque trash-talking.

It seems Castillo has built quite a loyal following, who consider him godlike and unable to do wrong. This only further cements him as a dictator, not to mention his trampling of the Puertollanoan Constitution with his decision to expand his powers beyond what the nation's founding documents allow. However, the leader—if he can even be called that—still faces stark opposition, both domestically and abroad. In San Martinia especially, 76% of polled residents disapproved of Castillo's performance, with another 18% not having heard of him. The meme account referenced early still continues, having reposted the meme in the earlier issue, receiving hundreds of thousands of likes, in addition to others, like those posted at the right (OOC: Pretend it says Castillo). Horacio Bello, a San Martinian citizen embarking on a trip to Puertollano, had the meme custom printed on a T-shirt, which he wore and continues to wear in his journey.

And yet, Castillo remains in power. Why is that? The cult mentioned earlier no doubt plays a part. Castillo likely filled his Cabinet with yes-men, unilaterally conducting the nation's affairs and simply ignoring all opposition. The opposition, whenever mentioning Castillo's dictatorial tendencies, will be labeled European imperialists, because, of course, there'd be no other reason to mention the fact that Castillo likely considers the Puertollanoan constitution the equivalent of toilet paper.

In all likelihood, Castillo will win another term through a most probably rigged election and Puertollano will continue its downward spiral. I weep for the people of Puertollano, for it seems their protests will go unheard.
