Polish Child Wins Local School's Naming Contest

Following Poland's contract to create sonar equipment for the MSDF, a local school jokingly held a competition to rename the Eastern Northern Atlantic. The school also promised to send the winner's answer to the delegation of Poland. A 2nd grader, a student by the name of Amadej, won the contest with the name of "The Euro Sea". As promised, the school sent it to the Polish delegation for a future DEU proposal, and boy it did. The Polish teamed up with the French delegation to take the large and hard step to revise the name to remove "the" on the name. Now the DEU proposal is being debated in the DEU assembly.

"I didn't know fame could be this exhausting!" Says Amadej, the winner of the contest. "The photographer from the last room told me to point on the map for a photo, he promised me a new puppy and lots of sweets if i stick my tongue out! Turns out he didn't even work for Calska Gazeta, he was arrested by cops and beaten by my father on the spot! That was funny! I'll add that to my epic gamer montage on TubeYou!"

Ilsung Mugging Ring Caught-Sparks diplomatic row with ally France

Yesterday, in a swift operation against the Saynuri Mugging Ring conducted by Homicide Team #1 of the Ilsung-Seong Do Station of the Ilsung Metropolitan Police at Mansu Shopping Mall, the Team under Detective Kang Dong-Chul and Han Tae-joo has arrested five members of the ring. A thorough interrogation was conducted in which the faces of the members of the ring were significantly bloodied.

Spokesmen of the Ministry of Justice’s Foreign Office have announced that bringing Jacques Lu Picard to Bengal to face the full force of the law on the charges of mugging and murder may be hard since Bengal and France do not have extradition treaties with each other.

According to the Ilsung Metropolitan Court, the members of the ring, namely Kim Sang-Ki, Park Kwang-Sun, Minase Izuno, Won Minjae, and Suzumiya Kyo may face 10 years of prison custody for mugging, and death sentences for the murders of Mitsue Sawako and Kim Eun-Young. Credible sources inside the court also says that Jacques Lu Picard may also face the same charges if he can be extradited from France and be tried under Bengali law

Canadian International Vigilantism in Mauritania

National Sovereign Wealth Fund announces $100 million 'Euro Sea Waterpark' project on the outskirts of Rome

Today the National Sovereign Wealth Fund made a surprise announcement that it is funding the construction of a new NAF$100 million waterpark on the outskirts of Rome. The water park will be named 'Euro Sea' in commemoration of the DEU's proposal to change the name of the north Atlantic ocean east of the mid-Atlantic ridge to the 'Euro Sea'. Some have called this decision "rather strange" however the NSWF insists that the water park has been in the pipeline for some time as Rome's current water parks are becoming "outdated" and says that the name 'Euro Sea' just happened to fit as a good name for the park as well as being a celebration of the ocean's name change.

Amadej, the schoolchild from Poland who came up with the new name for the eastern North Atlantic, has been given an invitation by the National Sovereign Wealth Fund to visit the construction site of Euro Sea Waterpark. Once the Waterpark is fully open Amadej and his family will receive lifetime passes to the waterpark and any other Euro Sea waterparks that may open in the future as a token of thanks for his idea for the renaming of the eastern North Atlantic.

The new water park will be themed around 'nautical Europe' with attractions such as The Azores Café, Raging Danube Rapids, The Lazy Seine, Bay of Biscay Wave Pool, The Channel Shoot, The Baltic Bowl and many other attractions all named after areas in European waters and rivers. It is hoped that the interesting theme and the large size of the waterpark will attract visitors from across Europe which will also hopefully give a boost to tourism numbers in Rome itself.

If deemed to be successful and profitable, the NSWF plans on expanding Euro Sea into a franchise across Europe's major cities and tourist areas and possibly to places like Magella and Australia to make Euro Sea an international staple of waterparks on par with Disneyland and other famous attractions.

SYDNEY - 2021 is finally at its last hours and the new year is finally right around the corner. And with the turning of the year, record breaking numbers of tourists arrived from all parts of the world to visit the Great Big Under.

About 17.43 million tourists visited the country for the entirety of 2021, more than a 3.0 million increase from the previous year total, and helped employed close to a million people. Tourist arrivals and spending garnered close to $80.00 billion, $8 billion more dollars compared to the previous year.

The sudden arrival of tourists comes as the holiday season sets in and the incoming new year celebrations begin to kick up night life and events in Australia, especially cities such as Adelaide, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. Statistics from the Australian Ministry of Tourism has more than 6.5M tourists currently within the Sydney-Adelaide-Gold Coast areas with about 1,760,000 tourists in Sydney Area alone.

A great deal of tourists once again came from the United States which accounted for 34% of total tourists, albeit down 3%, followed by 33% from Europe and 25% from Asia(mainly China, Japan, The Philippines and India) while the rest are from South America and Africa. This is the 5th time around that tourists from the United States have been one of the largest tourist groups for Australia, while Asian visitors had seen a slow climb increase while European tourists plunged by 4%.

Notable events during for December to January include the Grand Australian Prix, the Melbourne Grand Fair, several sports game finals/ championships, Sydney Fashion Week as well as the Sydney Harbour Fireworks Exhibition to celebrate the new year. The Future of MAMPO

While the Empire prepares for war against the Nigerian Socialist Republic after its invasion of Australian and French held regions of the country against treaty, the secretive Metropolitan Austrian Military Protection Organization (MAMPO) has declared a charter for its future. NAF, FSR & Puertollano reaffirm North Atlantic Ocean

The North American Federation, Federation of Socialist Republics and the Bolivarian Republic have jointly pinned a communication to the international community reaffriming the status of the North Atlantic Ocean as the North Atlantic Ocean. This was in response to a measure passed through the European Union to re-name the North Atlantic to the 'Euro Sea' according to a competition won by a Polish Child. In the communication it reads: "The status of the North Atlantic Ocean will remain the North Atlantic Ocean. The name of an ocean cannot be changed so simply, and cannot be changed to disregard the people of North and South America co-inhabit it." This has gotten further backing from the Socialist Federal Republic of Galicia and the Federation of Nativist Islands, who both responded similarly. President Castillo has lashed out at this decision in a live television appearance (although not rare), he said "the superiority complex of Europe is frightening to the world. Their attempt to re-name the North Atlantic Ocean to the 'Euro Sea' is an ugly attempt at re-instating their hegemony. No, the Atlantic Sea does not belong to you Europe. This harks back to the days of European colonisation, in which they would re-name the African continent under their own name. You have no right to do such, and all sensible people should fight against this form of soft imperialism." A bill has recently passed the National Assembly in Puertollano instituting the mandatory use of the 'North Atlantic Sea' when referring to the North Atlantic Sea.

The Accra-Dakar Railway

A while back ago the cooperative AmeroTrak announced that it had secured a deal with the Western African Confederation for an ambitious rail construction project. Once completed, the rail network will stretch from Accra to Dakar. At this point, the focus will be exclusively on freight transport, though AmeroTrak has stated that the idea of opening a passenger service "is not off the table." An agreement has been made where AmeroTrak will get an 80% stake on the rail while the West African government will get a 20% stake. Many speculate that AmeroTrak might sell some equity in the future, though as of yet it's unclear whether or not it'll happen. Initial construction will focus on connecting Lagos and Porto Novo but after that would shift to a more generalist focus.

The Lagos-Dakkar Railway will be the first large-scale South American investment in the West African Confederation, and will also help create countless jobs across the country. But in addition to that, the FSR and West African government also agreed upon on another agreement, which some speculate is connected to the rail construction deal. This agreement permits FSR arms cooperatives to legally sell weaponry in West Africa, with a 4% tax on profits to be imposed on such business. It's expected that arms sales will mostly be composed of civilian firearms to a market of over 117 million people. The agreement also stipulates that the FSR is allowed to transport weaponry from the West African Confederation to other countries if such a transaction is legal in both countries.

European-backed CSN announces the 'Euro Sea'

"This is not a forum to make real change, this is a forum to implement an international regime of imperialism and war. It is a machine used by Europe to attack Puertollano, to attack the FSR, to sanction us and degrade us. It's not an open place for dialogue, it is a neatly oiled machine that presses on the agenda of Europe and Europe alone."

These words from President Castillo of the Bolivarian Republic neatly describe the situation enveloping in the CSN Assembly. In a way to disregard history, geography and international norms, the European supermajority in the Council of Sovereign Nations has voted in favour of re-naming the Eastern portion of the North Atlantic Ocean simply the 'Euro Sea'. If there has been anything President Castillo has been warning about it is this, and this sets a dangerous precedent for the future of the CSN, and this planet. The 'Euro Sea' facade is an example of soft power imperialism, imperialism just without the direct murder, mass slaughter and subjugation. It does not belong to Europe because many African nations in the western regions share a coast on with the Northern Atlantic Sea. Again, Europeans telling Africans what they can call their oceans, typical supremacy.

This is precisely why the Bolivarian Republic departed in such a fashion, because the embattled CSN was always and continue to be, the servant of global tyranny, of global imperialism and the subjugation of free-willed peoples. It is correct to say that the CSN Halls are European-backed, as much as the DEU is a European-backed organisation. Only, certain nations in Asia and Oceania give it legitimacy in its' actions of instituting international protocols to target South America.

A recent example is from the Federation of Socialist Republics, after recently re-joining under pressure from the North American Federation, the FSR attempted to bring justice for the blatant technological rip-off of the decade. Zackaroth was caught using technology designed and patented in the FSR, and the FSR's attempt to take this back was faced with heavy opposition from Europe and other European puppets. Shot down. A simple piece of legislation to bring around simple justice, and the CSN wouldn't allow it. The new European-friendly High Leader of Zackaroth is a pawn to Europe and is nothing but a dirty criminal, having stolen the leadership position from a peace-loving leader. Of course, now we will see that peace is not the first objective of Zackaroth or the CSN, as displayed in Nigeria.

A CSN-led task-force invaded Nigeria to install a pro-Europe government against the popular will of the people and threatened to attack and destroy a South American ally in the region (the NSR). This was one of the first instances of the imperialist control being expanded over the organisation, and now, the organisation is beyond repair. It's time for nations to abandon ship before Europe intends to spread its' fake legitimacy further. Every nation that continues to operate within the CSN is giving legitimacy to the willy-nilly re-naming of oceans, invasions and international embargoes without preview. It's this type of lawlessness that needs to be put to bed, forever.

Pacifica to Reaffirm Secularism in Constitutional Amendment
Date: December 20th, 2021

The United Republics Congress has assembled in New Sacramento to discuss a new constitutional amendment that would see Pacifica's religious policy change, among other things.
Recently, a large religious 'awakening' has hit the Hyper Democratic Union of Canada following the Canadian State Church's communion with the Eastern Orthodox Church. This has resulted in a massive wave of missionaries and other religious missions entering Canada's neighbors; given how quickly these chain of events had escalated the United Republics and her respective associates were somewhat caught off guard. Contrary to what foreigners may think, Pacifica is not officially secular, it's state-agnostic. The Federalists, both old and new, were very hell-bent on forming a society of "critical-thinkers" and drafted legislation accordingly. In their view, secularism ignored the issue of religion entirely, allowing it to "corrupt and divide society." The Federalists developed an entire education curriculum revolving around this notion; by the beginning of middle-school and onward, students were thrown into mind-numbing but all the more intriguing critical-thinking, logic, and philosophy classes. This was partially because the Federalists wanted to enforce their vision of a 'perfect society', but also to enforce the new religious policy. Organized religion were banned and the only religious expressions allowed were non-organized positions, I.E "theist", "deist", "atheist", "agnostic", etc. This killed organized religion for most of the newer generations, and it wouldn't be until 2009, during the New Federalist Reorganization, that the ban would be lifted. Despite the New Federalists more liberal stance, the state-agnostic policy remained. As such, organized religion still had trouble establishing themselves within the nascent United Republics, since state-agnosticism was incompatible with organized religious doctrine. In another instance of what was the irony of the Federalists, they were worried that organized religious doctrine would cause society to fall into a "sheep-like" state that never questioned nor thought freely of anything, allowing them to fall prey to a malevolent dictatorship. Similar policies can be find in the Southern Federation and the Midwestern Republic, since both were at one point under Pacifican occupation or sphere of influence.

This policy was tolerated by most Pacificans, since most of us born after the Civil War were raised to be agnostics and irreligious. However, as Pacifica opens its doors to the world, its current religious policy has become increasingly unsustainable. Local governments have notoriously abused the laws put into place, especially towards immigrants and naturalized citizens. With the recent religious awakening in Canada and the open borders Pacifica and Canada share, the risk of sparking an incident has exponentially increased. Pacifican-Canadian relations revolve around mutual tolerance and acceptance of our differences that means staying out of each other’s cultural and internal affairs. The recent influx of Canadian missionaries, many of whom have already set up operations in Cascadia and Montana, risks sparking religious unrest and local governmental discrimination, especially in Cascadia. Many local governments in Cascadia are still hardcore Federalists, and are typically opposed to Pacifica's relations with Canada. As such, so as long as the current religious policy exists, the risk of harming our relations and reputation with Canada and internationally is only going to increase.

Pacifican-Canadian relations aside, many traditionally organized and official religions, such as Christianity, Judaism, etc., have devolved into cult-like societies that have operated in the shadows. Some of these cults were involved in terror attacks, and/or even underground criminal organizations. While the Department of the Interior has done a good job in containing these cults, societal distrust in Pacifica has been slowly decreasing; after all, the idea that your perfectly normal neighbor could be a member of a Christian cult doesn't exactly help with social trust. Most cult members want to be able to freely express their faith, thus adopting a secular policy would gut the core demographics of these fringe cults that prey on the vulnerable.

The amendment has major support from both Congress, the Executive, and the populace, thus it is expected to pass. The amendment is an extension of a previous constitutional clause, of which is based off of the first amendment of the old American constitution, albeit it lacked protections for religious expression. This amendment essentially adds what the Federalists removed, freedom of religion and the freedom to express that religion without government interference. It also removes the mentioning of religion and state-agnosticism, thus ensuring that the constitution will remains secular and ending the decades of state-agnosticism. Unfortunately for current students in upper-education, the Central government is most likely going to keep the current education curriculum, and so the ghost of Socrates and co. shall continue to haunt most Pacificans. With the official revoking of stage-agnostism, it is expected that Pacifica's sister countries, the Southern Federation and Midwestern Republic, will follow suit.

While most Pacificans welcome this new change, some have expressed worry that the influx of organized religious doctrine might undermine Pacifican values and society. While Pacifican's are more likely to behave in a Socratic manner towards any missionary, the sudden change in society may still unnerve many Pacificans. The United Republics Central Government is hoping to create a census of the religious demographics after the amendment passes, and is hoping that this may help avoid social unrest. By providing prospecting missionaries from Canada and other members’ data of the religious demographics, it is hoped that they will establish operations in predominantly Christian areas. Until then though, we here in Pacifica can only ask Canada and other religious communities to tread carefully and to respect our religious stances, Pacifican society is in an adjustment phase.

New Progressives Makes Christmas Christmas again!

The New Progressives proposed legislation on December 10th, titled "the Replacement of Remembrance Day with that of the Holiday of Christmas Act" or simply the "Christmas Restoration Act." The bill called for the removal of Remembrance Day in order to restore Christmas as an official holiday; Remembrance Day was then to be replaced with a new holiday called "Independence day" or "National Day" which would be celebrated on the 5th of March, the day that the Pacifican Civil War ended. The Christmas Restoration Act was narrowly passed by Congress on December 14th, and was signed into law the same day. This bill is but one of the many controversial reforms and legislation passed by the New Progressive controlled Central Government, however many Pacificans, especially those in California, think that it is a needed change and support these reforms. However, this sudden change in holidays is seen by some as a step too far, after all Remembrance Day is one of Pacifica's most important holidays. However, even before the legislation passed, most youth had started to turn Remembrance Day into a quasi-Christmas celebration, no thanks to the influences of the Internet. As such, this bill only makes law what was already fact. Members of congress have stated this bill is more of a sign that Pacifica is moving forward, letting go of the depressive nature of our past in order to focus on the here and the now, to be joyful for what we have in the present and to be hopeful of the future and to be happy that Pacifica has not fallen into complete chaos once again.

Remembrance Day is perhaps one of, if not the most, important holidays in Pacifica. Remembrance Day is held every December 25th as a day of remorse and remembrance for those that died in the Pacifican Civil War. This one of the unfortunate consequences of having a Civil War break out on Christmas day. The Pacifican Civil War is an event that almost half of all Pacificans lived through, and so to them December 25th was never really the same, and the Old Federalists only added fuel to the fire. However, with a new generation of adults taking over, it comes as a surprise to most of the old folks that they would be in the front line of wanting to bring back the Holiday season. It's ironic that the so-called "first-generation" Pacificans, whom have never experienced Christmas, are fighting against old-folks in government, whom have actually experienced the holiday first-hand. Regardless though, many still hold Remembrance Day close to heart, and thus the opposition to this bill was fierce. However, Remembrance day is still going to be a holiday, just under a new name and date. Many of argued that it's even worse to have a holiday the day the Civil War began, and that it would more morally appropriate to have it on March 5th, the day the Civil War ended. On the other hand, many have grown used to this arrangement and are fearful of changes that upset the status-quo. Some of these more conservative leaning individuals have even suggested that we adopt the Orthodox Christmas date as a compromise instead, however such a thing wouldn't be the same. Christmas to us Pacificans and other countries is hardly religious, it's a matter of western tradition by this point.

Many also look at this symbolically as a sign that Pacifica is moving forward from its state of, what many in Academia call, "societal depression." Pacifican society had long latched onto the past, no thanks to the Federalists constantly reminding us. The Pacifican identity was tied heavily to the civil war, with many stating that the conflict had effectively created Pacifica's identity; after all, before the Civil War there was no "Pacifican", we were just a vague technicality. After the war, we were reduced to something that was broken and shattered, twisted and mangled. The Federalists saw differently, and in that mess saw potential for something new and greater. And so, that twisted broken mess became our identity, sculpted into what the Federalists thought was perfection. The Federalists tied our identity to the past, reminding us day by day of the dead, the suffering of old, and that it was up to us to prevent the world's disparity from spreading here. Most of us can go one for hours of all the dreadful things the Federalists reminded us of, but that is beside the point. Pacifican holidays have always been related to dread and sorrow, and so most of us are eager to finally have a day that we can be happy for once, to be joyful of the present and future, instead of being reminded over and over again of the past. Despite what others in the media might say, I think most of us are eager for this change, even if we deny it. California in particular had suffered the most from the Civil War, but look at the Republic now. We should celebrate our economic prosperity, high standard of livings, not dreadful remind ourselves of 1993. That is why we here in the Silicon City Tribune condone and officially support the Central Governments decisions. The Federalists, for all their faults, wanted one thing for Pacifican society: Prosperity and happiness. Sure, they definitely knew how to make a good day bad due to their Paranoia, but overall they wanted the next generation to never have to experience another social calamity again. The New Progressives are not tearing down Pacifican society or corrupting our identity, they are merely completing the puzzle. The Federalists made the nation prosperous and provided the means to be happy, but never fully made us feel that way; on the other hand, the New Progressives are giving us reasons and excuses necessary to allow us to feel happy. Thus, this bill along with the other New Progressive reforms are a necessary step for Pacifican society, so that the Pacifican dream that the Federalists created could actually be fulfilled. So, let's make the December 25th a day to take pride and feel happy about our prosperity and reignite the Christmas spirit that has been missing for 30 years, not in order to ignore the past, but to accept it and move on. After all, why else did we boot out the Federalists, if not to move on?

It has been almost two-weeks since the New Progressive replaced Remembrance Day with Christmas, reviving a Holiday that can be seen throughout the world, no matter their culture & religion. Despite fears that this would undermine Pacifican social values, is immoral, etc, by December 24th Pacifica had fully embraced the holiday spirit. December 25th saw perhaps the biggest celebration of Christmas in the world, with major cities throughout Pacifica holding parades and massive festivals. It was has been nearly three decades since Christmas was celebrated, so the memories of this holiday were still strong in the old. The youth had only the internet to show them this holiday, like gossip from faraway lands, they had long heard but never experienced this mystical holiday. RUSSIA ENTERS NEW ERA
In light of the new year president Petro Borislav has looked towards a new path to take the world power into what he claims is a “More prosperous and responsible policy respecting foreign nations and protecting Europe’s interests and ideas of democracy and free will” the populous has given mixed feelings on the matter but most views seem to be optimistic. Borislav’s staff has expressed this new policy to embody a form of “modified isolationism” focusing more on the region to better the continent in oppose to meddling in foreign affairs. When asked about Russia’s influence in Tanzania the Borislav Administration responded saying

“This plan is very young and all the rough edges are still being worked on and we will most definitely have a more detailed summary of how Tanzania will play in our new policy.”

This issue has been pressing with Zimbabwe withstanding turmoil throwing Africa in more chaos. It would not be likely with Borislavs proposed plan continue showing interest within the region.

“We have many business partners in Tanzania and the relations between Russia and Tanzania make it easy to work.” Says one business man unwilling to disclose his information.

Why did Overbeck conduct his military coup to overthrow a, what is often widely accepted as a legitimate government and install his own military dictatorship? Find out why.

Many outsiders to this day widely accept that Overbeck launched a military coup with malevolent intent. That he took advantage of a brutal and bloody war with the Soviets and used it to gain power for his own gain and forced Hyper Democracy down the throats of the Canadian people. This, however could not be further from the truth and it takes understanding the social and political climate of Canada in the 20th Century as a whole to fully understand why he launched a coup. First off, Canada was just that, in a brutal, bloody war that looked bad for Canada. Secondly, Canada was always longing to reinstate a Hyper Democratic Government since they lost the elections in 1955. Lastly, it was because Canada's "legitimate democratic government" wasn't really that at all, but did an awfully good job at looking like it was.

Canada before the Hyper Democratic era did have a bright future up until the great depression of the late 1920s. The Canadian people were looking for any way out of it, and they saw three choices; the Fascists, Communists or the Hyper Democrats. Due to violence sparking between Communists and Hyper Democrats, and the Communists taking the blame for it, they were out of the picture and so it ultimately came down between the National Socialist Party of Canada or the Hyper Democratic Party of Canada. Both advocated for very similar things with the difference being that the HDP wanted to preserve liberty and wanted more autonomy from Britain however there was no talk of separatism [yet]. The HDP's rhetoric and general response to the great depression was seen as "more attractive" in the eyes of Canadians, and while the racial policies of the National Socialists did in a way catch their attention, the Canadians provided a much more peaceful alternative and a far less divisive one. And so, not long later in an election in 1932, the Hyper Democratic Party took power under Prime Minister Earl Breckenridge, later President Earl Breckenridge. Canada conducted a large series of reforms, giving themselves more autonomy from Britain whilst staying in the commonwealth, conducting massive construction plans, integrating the Native Americans, and revamping their military and giving them more of a national identity. However, due to conflict in parliament, their goals could never be reached to its greatest extent and often had to negotiate and accommodate for such reforms and had to often tone themselves down. Nonetheless, their reforms and projects did create a safety net and allow for some of their goals to be met. The HDP would carry Canada through the Great Depression and in through World War 2, and would participate in it to some reasonable extent and even after the war and into the early 1950s where, they were finally voted out. Or, were they?

According to scholarly articles such as the Canadian University, Democracy Today, and Project Evered show that in the 1952 elections more people were supporting the HDP more than in any other time period excluding the 1940 and 1946 elections, at around 55 to 67 percent of the legal voting age population. The argumentation that "They simply did not have high voter turnout" does not make sense given how relatively harsh punishments are in Canada for not utilizing your civic responsibility and voting back then were. As stated in Bert Coumans' book, "Canada and the First Hyper Democratic Union," he explicitly covered the government structure and laws relating to the political involvement of the people. He explicitly stated that it was a legitimate crime not to vote and by not doing so you could be fined a hefty amount. Not an exact quote, but the point stands. Keep in mind, this law has been around for longer than the First Hyper Democratic Union. It's questionable as to whether or not the Canadian Liberal Party and later the Conservative parties were voted in legitimately at least at the time, however Overbeck would soon expose them for corruption.

In 1984, Overbeck launched his coup against the current government made up by the Liberal and Conservative Parties and exposed individuals ranging from corporation and monopoly owners to politicians for corruption, treason, and rigging elections. The acting president Shad Lucas, and roughly 72 individuals involved in the operation were rounded up and executed via various methods ranging from hanging to firing squad. There were protests coming from many political opposition leaders, the same people whom to this day, while are a minority now in Canada, still claim that Overbeck was a dictator and that he took power for self-interest. While it's undeniable that Overbeck's response to the initial outrage was definitely harsh, ranging from suppression of democracy outright to execution of political opponents and creation of an armed military wing to keep other political parties in line, it's no denying that he wasn't malevolent at all and in fact did a lot to create new jobs, fix Canada's economy after the war, and brought Canada into a new era. What also doesn't make sense about the argumentation that Overbeck was a malevolent selfish dictator was as to why he allowed democracy to resume in 2003 after the war against the Union State was over and even allowed journalists and others to unrestrictedly investigate into the following 2004 presidential election before and after he was legally voted in for his first democratic election to prove that he was not doing the same thing as the previous administrations but in reverse.

So please, the next time somebody claims Overbeck was a dictator, remember these points and to share this article far and wide. It's saddening that we live in a World where fake news and false information can be spread so easily without much consequence directed at the individuals creating them.

Globalism. It's a word that is interpreted by many people in many different ways. Some see it as a force for good, a force for international cooperation and prosperity. Others, however, see it as a force for the worse, seeing it as a shallow and empty attempt to bring nations at the mercy and control of oligarchs, bureaucrats and post-nationalists, and/or to curb national sovereignty. Canada in particular, by a 97% majority, thinks of it as the latter. Why is this?

Canada since Overbeck's coup has been very self-sufficient, culturally sophisticated to its old standards, and in the end became a global super power unexpectedly as the Europeans broke up and as America and the Soviet Union fell. Yet, unlike those other super powers, they found a strong disdain for the likes of internationally based organizations such as the United Nations, seeing them more as useless and ivory-tower dwellers than anyone who would really care for the best interest of the people. They did nothing during the American-Soviet War nor other conflicts throughout the Globe when people were dying through war, famine or genocide, why should Canada ever support an entity like that ever again? They did not even join the CSN until the year 2002 after relations with Mainland Europe cooled down and after the American-Soviet War was over, and even then they joined more out of reluctance and out of wish to connect more with the international community and put them in a positive light than all the "propaganda and lies" the CSN put out about how it would make the World a brighter and better place.

Even today many Canadians feel strongly against the CSN seeing it as the very tyrants, oligarchs and bureaucrats that the likes of the UN or other internationalist organizations were. The NAF for the longest of time used to have the federally elected President choose the nation's CSN representative and only as of recently agreed to allow citizens to choose their CSN representative in a vote following the Seattle Concordance. It's why Canada was so willing to act out in violence against the federal government's decision to place such heavy penalties against the FSR and Puertollano in spite of their strong anti-communist and anti-socialist sentiments. It's why Canada to this day advocates for the NAF's exit of the CSN.

The Antarctic Imperial Republic is Born!

Delegates of the Austro-Danubian Empire and the Magellan Republic met in Santiago to discuss the final terms to a land purchase in the South Atlantic earlier this week, their conversations being an outstanding success to both parties. With the Empire’s purchase of Isla Nueva, the Directory has released information regarding to the birth of a new and united Austrian south atlantic colony.

Dubbed the “Antarctic Imperial Republic” (despite technically having no territorial domain in Antarctica, the colony will consist of New Bucharest, Isla Nueva, and, unofficially, the Julius von Payer station on Deception Island. New Bucharest, a city of 110,000 most known for its secretive government programs, has long been in need of fellow Austrian strongholds in its direct vicinity, giving incite as to why the Imperial Government established a greater Antarctic Republic. New Bucharest is of course set out to be the infant colonial Republic’s capital, but plans of the construction of more government backed towns and cities on the newly acquired lands have already been drawn up. Directly neighboring New Bucharest on a tiny plot of land next to the sea, the village of “Fährstadt am Meer” is to be a hub for both shuttling people to and from Isla Nueva, and to be staging point for legal Antarctic fishing. Further south, Isla Nueva is to be host to a new city that will eventually grow to be larger than New Bucharest itself. Being in need of a legitimate civilian hub outside of the shops, restaurants, military outposts, and schools that make up New Bucharest, the city of Martinsburg (named, of course, after Emperor Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine) is to fulfill these needs. Apart from being the southernmost city in the world, Martinsburg on Isla Nueva has as much promise and faith going into it as New Milan has in its early days. The Julius von Payer station hosted on Deception Island is to unofficially be a part of the new united colony. This is to provide its inhabitants the chance to live under Austria-Danubian law, while not breaking any international ones. The station’s inhabitants are to report to mainland of the Atlantic Imperial Republic and swap out with their fellow workers on a monthly basis as they have been to keep the establishment legal. Now, however, they are to report to either Martinsburg or New Bucharest to vote on titles such as Imperial Governorship.

The Antarctic Imperial Republic (AIR abbreviated) and Cape Thetis will coexist and work closely for the secure and safe futures of both establishments as they are both members of the Triumvirate. Borders between the two states will be kept open, and the AIR and Cape Thetis will essentially work as a single body under the Triumvirate as they have been for years, except now the Austrians finally have their own legislative body alongside the Italians in Cape Thetis.

A flag has already been adopted for the new colony, and it is currently flying next to the captured Puertollanoan standard that is host to the Habsburg dual-headed eagle embroidered in place of the sun — a symbol of the city’s pride in their independence. The AIR’s flag consists of the Austrian-Danubian national flag in its top left corner in traditional Imperial fashion, a light blue background that represents the Atlantic and Antarctic bodies of water that the colony is built upon, and the astrological constellation of Centaurus — a prominent group of stars visible only in the southern hemisphere. The stars are bordered by a white frame that represents the snow that is prominent in the region.

CSN investigators turned back, as Zimbabwe pulls out of the CSN. Economic Collapse imminent for the country

CSN investigators where turned away from Zimbabwe by officials as they stated the country was no longer a part of the CSN. This caused mass confusion until the President of country, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has indeed confirmed the country has pulled out of the CSN. In a fiery speech, Mnangagwa claimed they will not intimidated by the West and have full faith in their Puterollano allies. However, the economy was less forgiving. Already embattled and weakened by massive debt, as well as fear of reprsial from the rest of the world, the Zimbabwe dollar completely crashed, making it almost worthless.

Mass riots have sprung up around the country that the government is trying to control as the rebel movement in the west grows. More and and more defections are occurring every day from the military, even as Angola steps in to intervene. It seems the situation in the country has spiraled out of control and could become another DRC if things are not settled. Worse yet, the CSN investigators have been allowed into the rebel territory, who have looked at and confirmed refugees who managed to flee Bulawayo have encountered some form of anthrax. The amount of people infected in such a short time frame precludes this from being a natural infection. They are sending samples of the disease to Iceland for further confirmation on whether it was man made but their is little doubt someone has been using biological weapons.

Recent reports suggest presence of Sharp End contractors in Zimbabwe

MELBOURNE - Footage and photograph of heavily armed men shining the logo of what appears to be Australian PMC Sharp End International has surfaced across the interweb. The footage apparently shows several armed men with automatic rifles alongside a pickup truck in what appears to be a road in Zimbabwe.

The Australian Private Military Company has denied any reports that it has contractors in the country or has had previous dealings with either the Australia or Zimbabwean authorities. This has brought serious criticism to the company who has for several occasions been caught sending private contractors to areas in Africa and Asia in deals with local warlords or government agencies.

Canberra has also denied allegations that it is sending private contractors to any country in Africa other than security detail for its officials in TACT. Zimbabwe, a country which is now close to reaching anarchy and chaos never seen since the end of World War II. The recent exit of the African country from the CSN has caused a lot of government officials scratching their heads. Although calls for intervention and humanitarian efforts from civil groups have been commonplace, as of January 20, there are no Australians in Zimbabwe.

As of recently, Puertollano unsurprisingly, bought the debt off of the dictatorship that is Zimbabwe. The bank of North America has been quick to raise interest on said debts by an additional 50%. North American representative Joachim Michaud has stated that "We will raise interest on their debts by 50% more for every week the Colombians continue to support the dictatorship in Zimbabwe. 50% more for every week they prolong a cruel and unnecessary war." People throughout Canada and America, and a decent chunk of Pacificans in particular have all been strongly supporting this, having friends and family fighting alongside the MHD. "There is no reason from what we've seen as to why Puertollanoans should be supporting this awful war between Zimbabwe and its own people," stated Penko Doubek, a Canadian citizen, Marine and father of two sons whom have gone off to fight the war. "Men are dying out there, and all for what? Because Puertollanoans can't hear the voices of the people of a foreign country? So much for their crusade against imperialism."

Manitoba Great Lakes Sports entirety of the Federation!

For the longest of time, the Manitoban Great Lakes Sports were exclusive to Canadians from every province. Now, opens up to the entirety of the North American Federation.

The Manitoba Great Lakes Sports is a series of sport events much like the Olympics of Ancient Greece. It consists of a wide array of sports, however unlike the ones of Ancient Greece, are much more modern and are usually in relation to water. Started in the late 1960s and renovated in the 2000s, the sports are probably one of the few things in Canada that's very divisive but also very relaxing for Canadians. Something that allows Canadian families to come together, bond and watch their Province compete with other Canadian Provinces. It usually goes on until the end of the season, and is done twice a year. It has sports ranging everything from basics such as simple swimming races to some of their own sports such as epee fencing and sparring matches over the water.

For the longest time however, these have remained mostly as just a Canadian thing. A thing of Canadian culture. As of now, Manitoba, and the rest of the Hyper Democratic Union, has formally opened this up to the rest of the North American Federation. Republics, States and Provinces from other Republics within the NAF have been allowed to send their own athletes to attend and compete in the Sports, however to keep it even, they can each only send 14 maximum per Republic. This effectively maintains a balance in the sports, for if every American state for instance got to send 1 representative they'd far outnumber Canadians, Southerners and Midwesterners and it would be completely unfair. There are a few height, weight, age, and for most sports, gender related qualification requirements. We won't go into the details but we will leave a link allowing you to read what those qualifications are. This is a symbolically clear sign of Canadians opening themselves up more to fellow Republics within the NAF.

Cree Nation, and how Native Americans have been influenced by Hyper Democracy

The Cree Nation before the 1980s had very shaky relations with the government, but ever since Overbeck's coup, relations could never had been better. What happened?

The Cree nation is the largest Native American people in Canada, numbering at around 680,000 that call themselves members of the Cree nation. The Cree nation has always had shaky relations with the government. At least, this was until the Overbeck administration. Overbeck was always particularly good to the Native peoples for a very long list of reasons, ranging from fighting side by side with them against the Soviet invaders, to being a member himself. In today's topic, we will be going over the most important reasons as to why this is the case and more importantly, talk about how Hyper Democratic reforms have affected the Cherokee nation.

First off, the Canadian government has always had a particularly hostile view of Native American culture, seeing them more as a pest than as fellow countrymen. Hyper Democrats in particular however, saw them as fellow countrymen. Why was the HDP so different towards Native Americans? Because of the American-Soviet War. The Soviets were unkind towards the local Native Americans to say the least, and so when Native Americans joined up arms with the Canadian people, it proved that both were just as capable of getting along, and when Overbeck launched a coup in order to prevent the already incompetent and oligarchic government from doing more harm, relations between the Cree and Canada changed for the better.

Because of this the Cree people have quite willingly accepted many Hyper Democratic reforms and even openly consider themselves to be Canadians. Today, Cree people follow Canadian religion, go to Canadian schools, act and talk like Canadians and all the sort. While they're still somewhat territorial and preserved much of their old traditions and philosophies, they've quite clearly became very white-washed from the results of the war and better relations with the Canadian government and people, and all this is thanks to Canada's pursuit of avoiding conflict based on race and willingness to accommodate and negotiate.

Bulgarian Expeditionary Forces for North West Africa is sent off

25,000 troops and volunteers from all Military Districts have been mobilized and have been shipped off by air to Vienna, Austria as it is to join a United Roman Triumvirate task force to help in its war against the Nigerian Socialist Republic. The Forces are equipped with 35 MBTs, 50 APCs, 50 IFVs alongside 30 transportation aircraft to help carry the men and equipment from Sofia to Vienna and then Austria to Nigeria. The Bulgarian Expeditionary Forces will be led by an Austrian General as per agreement with the Austrian Government in a meeting three weeks before the mobilization of the Expeditionary Force. The Bulgarian Navy has also been put on high alert as well as with the Air Force and the rest of the units in the Ground Forces as a possibility of the declaration of war to help the URT is high.

Australian Port Lease extends until 2034

Australian and Bulgarian officials earlier signed the Black Sea II Agreement which allows Australian Naval, Aerial and Land Forces into Bulgarian Soil only around the Port of Varna. The Original Black Sea I Agreement only leases the Port of Varna to the Australian Government for 10 years, but to protect Bulgarian Interests in the Black Sea, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with the Ministry of State decides to offer a 5 year extension to the original agreement with a reduction of 60 Million from the Original 85 Million in the original deal.

European Union offers Bengal Trade deal

Due to pro-Entete actions ever since the beginning of the African Cold War, the European Union has responded by taking a pro-Bengali approach. Relations between our country and the nations of the European Union have warmed up ever since troops of the Self Defense Forces were committed to Mauritania during an Islamic and socialist uprising in the country. Bengal has also provided material support in the Zimbabwean conflict, and is already preparing to move into the country if the occupation by the Entete breaks down, or reinforcements are necessary by the Entete forces on a long term notice.

One of the recent actions of outreach to our country is a trade deal, which includes reduction of tarrifs on certain Bengali goods currently entering the European common market. This trade deal is being pushed by France, who has also extradited a person for trial in the Ilsung Mugging Ring case. Automotive and electronics companies are encouraging this deal, hoping to tap into the European market. Another separate agreement, encouraging tourism between Bengal and the French territory of Indo-china will also be made, although details about that are vague as of now.

Ministry of Defence signs $3.2 billion deal with defence companies from the North American Federation for 20 B-1 Lancer's and 4 F-22 Raptors

Today the Ministry of Defence announced its first new equipment spending of 2022, confirming a NAF$3.2 billion deal with defence companies in the North American Federation to supply the Aeronautica Militare with 20 new B-1 lancer's and 4 F-22 Raptors that were included for free. Once constructed, the 20 new B-1 Lancer's will join the 4 existing B-1 Lancer's of the Aeronautica Militare that are permanently based on Tigres Island and were purchased from the NAF in 2020. Meanwhile the 4 F-22 Raptors will be based in an undisclosed location in mainland Italy, most likely somewhere in Southern Italy.

The MoD originally ordered the 4 B-1 Lancer aircraft from the NAF in an effort to explore a purpose for strategic heavy bombers in the Italian (and European) defence arsenal and whether they would integrate well into Italian and European mock operations and exercises. After 2 years the aircraft have proved themselves to be far more useful than originally thought so the MoD made the decision to order more B-1 Lancer's from the NAF and settled on a quantity of 20 in negotiations as well as 4 new F-22 Raptors for free for a total cost of $3.2 billion. Each B-1 lancer will be paired with 2 Eurofighter Typhoon's to act as protection for the aircraft in hostile operating environments. The original 4 aircraft were paired with 4 Eurofighter's each however with the larger force now being established the resources required to pair each of the 24 aircraft with 4 Eurofighter's.

The Tigres Island Strategic Penetration Force has been identified as Europe's primary strategic heavy bomber fleet within the URT's arsenal as well as Europe's shared arsenal as most countries in Europe have not invested in strategic heavy bombers over concerns of whether or not they are needed in 21st century warfare. The MoD disagree's with this and believes that as a continent it is important for Europe to have a broader range of options when conducting warfare.

The DRC Civil War heats up as mysterious benefactors make their moves

The DRC Civil War goes as separate groups continue to either carve out large chunks of land for themselves or are locked in combat with each.

The SRC took the capital of the DRC after a fierce battle that routed the government forces and sent them reeling back and only holding on to a small strip of land. Its been reported that whats left of the government is trying to evacuate and head to other nations as refugee status. With the loss of Kinshasa, any effective government for the DRC has been destroyed unless somehow the current government is able to rally and beat back the SRC or one of the other powers manages to take a large enough hold on the nation. Right now the SRC is petitioning the world to recognize it as the new legitimate government of the Congo as they feel they represent the true will of the people.

Meanwhile HCA has beaten back the ICC. They where both thought to be on level playing fields until weapons began to make their ways into hands of of the HCA. From CSN observations these seem like weapons doled out by the FSR during the Mauritania Campaign to the failed rebellion there but caution on anyone placing the blame on anyone else as those weapons may have entered the black market circulation or through other means. However, the CSN does agree the HCA is getting weapons from somewhere but cannot say who. This increase in weapons has allowed the HCA to push the ICC back by a great deal. Reports have been coming in of both sides making greater use of child soliders, often taking children from villages they conquer and forcing them to fight.

Finally, the HFF and TDA continue to be locked in combat. The HFF as well seems to have gained some benefactors help and seemed to be pushing the TDA back. However, Rwanda has increased support for the TDA, invoking the Genocide as a reason not to not allow the HFF to Florish. While not outright delcaring war, Rwanada has launched airstrikes on HFF controlled areas and this did allow the TDA to make a small push, slamming their borders together. Once again, the CSN cannot confirm who the HFF's benefactors are or how they will respond to this.

Ministry of Defence establishes Grande Zona Desertica (منطقة صحراوية كبيرة) in Libya for training and weapons testing

Today the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the Libyan government, the Grande Zona Desertica (GZD) a huge military training and weapons testing area in the expansive uninhabited Saharan sands of southern Libya in the Cirenaica region of the country. The 150,500 km2 zone will be prohibited for civilian entry, its large size allowing for some of the most gruelling and realistic training for soldiers, particularly special forces, to ensure that they are resilient and expert in desert fighting.

As part of the agreement between the Libyan and Italian governments Italian military forces will help to train Libyan military personnel to help create a more professional army than the country currently has. It is hoped that by training the Libyan military it will maintain stability in the country in the face of the Benghazi Revolutionaries that the Libyan government is currently attempting to oust from the country. As a training and testing area of the Italian Ministry of Defence, the GZD is also open to use by the other armed forces of the URT to help built the Triumvirates expertise and resilience in the desert warfare.

Weapons testing will take place away from areas designated for training for obvious reasons and will allow Italian defence companies to better test their weapons as well as help the military to test weapons compatibility in a warfare situation. The huge area of the GZD and its absolute remoteness, with not a single road or building existing within its boundaries, has meant that work has begun to create dirt roads to connect the zone to the nearest settlement, Al-Jawf, in order to connect the zone to the Libyan road network.

Kalmar Union Joins the War in Nigeria After Major Deliberations

Despite the Kalmar Union's long-held alliance and MDP with France, Scandinavian entry into the Nigerian conflict was delayed by a fiery debate in the Riksdag about the merits of entering yet another war abroad. Reportedly under great pressure from French diplomats, the KU Prime Minister lobbied MPs on behalf of the war resolution; one source recalls him telling an MP, "If you won't do it for Nigeria, at least do it to protect our nation's integrity. If we don't uphold our MDP, then other countries won't be making deals with us, and we won't be getting re-elected." Though the majority of the newly elected MPs of the Riksdag are staunch isolationists, many of them eventually voted in favor of the resolution, although the pro-war side had to make a major concession. The resolution passed by the Riksdag only permits troops currently stationed in Benin to partake in the war effort; additional reinforcements must be approved by the Riksdag. Currently stationed in Benin are the 5th and 7th Infantry Divisions and the North Atlantic Fleet. This totals to about 25,000 troops in the two infantry divisions and 18 destroyers, 9 frigates, 12 attack submarines, a patrol craft, a minesweeper, a tracking ship, an oiler, and a medical ship in addition to a supercarrier that hosts 25 bombers, 30 attack aircraft, and 30 fighter aircraft. Allies, however, are allowed to base their troops in Benin for the duration of the war.

With the new year, the President of Russian Petro Borislav announced the nation's new foreign policy and since then much good has resulted from it. In Moscow President Petro Borislav held a summit with various European countries to discuss problems and strengthen relations between the European nations. The Russian government welcomed the leaders of Bulgaria, Germany, France, and Italy.

"We understand the countries here today are not all of Europe, or at least all the DEU members but it is a start to the policy we are trying to enforce." said the President the day of the summit.
Many good things came from the talks between nations for example troops stationed in Bulgaria and for military cooperation and a new MDP between Russia and Bulgaria along with Economic deals very good for the two countries.
France proposed many ideas and projects for the two to work hand in hand in in which various European countries can participate.

The building of a stronger more unified Europe has a promising future and much potential.

Amongst these formal meetings and discussions, an unexpected nation approached Russia with hopes building relations more on a literal sense. The Australian and Russian leaders met in Moscow to discuss the building of a massive intercontinental railroad project. The Australian government also agreed to hire Russian citizens in working on the project creating thousands of jobs all across Russia.

In other news The NAF bought a handful of MiG-23's for a total of 150 million dollars.

Russia allows Germany to send Humanitarian Aide into Zimbabwe through Tanzania, all while Russia prepares to leave Tanzania.
