FANCY WORDS WITH THE SAME OLD TUNE

The French government published a report recently from their intelligence services placing the blame of the Mauritanian war squarely on the FSR. The report makes no mention of the numerous French war crimes or the popular socialist revolt destroyed by French occupying forces and bombs. Unlike most countries which have the decency to use a front organization to publish a report like this, the French chose to publish it directly from their government. The French corporate media reported on the report completely uncritically, doing a great disservice to journalism. The report reads like one of the many denounciations of enemy countries who resisted American imperialism during the Cold War published by CIA funded organizations. The French continue to make diplomatic moves about the squadron of French Dassault Rafaels destroyed by Federation EE-2s in a case which now is regarded as an accident by all parties involved. Claiming gross incompetence, the French criticize the Federation for not seeing the ICM SAM launch which downed a cargo aircraft despite the fact the only Federational personnel who saw the launch were on the downed transport. The pilots and their commanders did what any other military men of any other country would do in their situation - this is made obvious by the communications logs of the event. The French report further misrepresents what actually happened by implying Federation aircraft intercepting the French were in a position to see the ICM SAM launch and understood at the time that a French Rafael has fired on the site of the launch site. To add to that, the French intelligence departments urge that reputations from the FSR be demanded by President Noir of France. When asked in an interview about the report, Higashi commented: ”...We did absolutely nothing wrong - I am completely opposed to any reparations.”

Cretan Parliament votes on Defensive Agreement with Turkey

`The Cretan Parliament resumed debate today over the offer from the Turkey for a military agreement. Such a military agreement would mean the creation of a Turkish Military Base in the East of the country, that would be the home of Turkish Anti-Ship missiles, a strong deterrent to the Triumvirate, whose image is not looked upon nicely in Crete. The Parliament of Crete is made of 50 seats, with 27 of those 50 controlled by the New Democracy Party, a centre-right to right-wing party. The New Democracy's party stance has been against any military base with the Turks. There are varied motivations for this position, the strongest line of reasoning is that they seek not to start a war in Crete between the URT and Turkey, and they want to keep steady trading relations with the URT. This comes in line with the heavily business-minded attitude of the New Democracy Party, however there are a few detractors. Some of the more nationalist members of the party have said they will vote in favour of a Turkish military base out of spite against the Triumvirate. These members are still angry over the Latinisation Programs and and pro-Greek terrorist attack in Crete. The New Democracy Party has asked all of its' members to vote against the measure, but it's yet to be seen if they will keep control of some of the parties more individually minded members. The Opposition Party, Syriza (19 seats), has pledged to vote in favour of the Turkish military base. Syriza, a left-wing party with strong connections to socialist elements, will vote in favour because of their desire for a deterrent towards a possible URT invasion of Crete. They look at the annexation of Bratislava and the Polish Civil War as reasoning that the URT would attempt to overthrow the countries government if Syriza won in a general election. There haven't been any detractors from the party line in Syriza. The third largest party is 'Cretan Dawn', a hard right-wing nationalist party. The controversial party has said it will vote against the Turkish base, this is understandable considering the leanings of the party. There are clear threads of Islamophobia in this rejection of the Turkish bid, with the leader of the party warning against allowing "savage Turkish cave-men" into Crete through the military agreement. Cretan Dawn has also looked positively upon the URT as of late, with another extreme nationalist party in Austria beginning to rise. The final party to vote on the matter is the Cretan Communist Party. The Communist Party only holds a single seat in Parliament but could still hold the balance of power. Their Member of Parliament has said she will vote in favour of the Turkish military base as a gesture of "anti-imperialism" to the "imperialist Romans."

Image

For the measure to pass, the majority of the Parliament must vote in favour of the offer. That would require 26 votes for Aye.

The final vote in the Parliament is:

Aye:
19 (Syriza)
5 (New Democracy - dissenting votes)
1 (Cretan Communist Party) = 25 votes for AYE.

Nay:
22 (New Democracy)
3 (Cretan Dawn) = 25 votes for NAY.

The result of the vote was a 50/50 split in the Cretan Parliament, and thus, the vote failed to pass. However, this is not the end of the line for the Turks. A special election is being held in the most Eastern constituency of Crete in a few weeks. The member who currently holds it said he would retire from politics after that vote on the Turkish Military Agreement was over. He voted against the Turkish Base, but the New Democracy Party holds onto the electorate by only a 1.7% margin. If Turkey plays their hand correctly, Syriza or another pro-Turk party could sweep the electorate and hold a second vote for a Turkish Military Agreement. If that was the case, it would pass. If the URT plays its' hand correctly, the New Democracy Party could hold onto the seat and a new, New Democracy member could vote against the proposal.

Foreign Minister Aksoy and Defence Minister Kartal head to Heraklion

"Pigs are dirty, but I will tell you something dirtier: Liars! Untruth always smells like rotten garbage!" ~ Mehmet Murat ildan

November 26, 2021 -- Directly following the failed vote of confirmation for the Turkish-Cretan defence agreement; Foreign Minister Aksoy and Defence Minister Kartal we’re both dispatched to meet with their Cretan counterparts. The two ministers represent the pinnacle of Turkish foreign policy and their presence is naturally high profile. It is quite obvious the two powerful men were dispatched in an attempt to sway the Cretan Parliament into accepting the Turkish military presence and partnership in Crete and to reaffirm the commitments Turkey is ready to take with Crete.

It should also be noted that the Turkish government is showing Crete tremendous respect. Due to Crete’s relatively new entrance into the International Community as a sovereign state the nation has not been capable of establishing itself away from the shadow of the URT. The arrival of the powerful Turkish Ministers and the possibilities of an independent partnership from the URT does interest the Cretans. However, the outcome of this parliamentary impasse is still uncertain.

Arms sales to Libyan government worth $2 billion announced after President Giuseppe Conte and Prime Minister Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj meet in Rome

Today a major weapons deal was struck between Italy and Libya after President Giuseppe Conte met Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj in Rome for their quarterly talks to ensure that the two countries maintain strong diplomatic ties and to help aid stability in Libya. Representatives from Italian arms manufacturers Leonardo, IVECO Defence, Beretta, Tirrena and Binelli Armi also joined the two leaders during their discussion in order to draw up deals for a variety of weapons, vehicles, helicopters and air defence systems.

President Giuseppe Conte expressed his concern at the emergence of the so-called 'Benghazi Revolutionaries' within Libya and said that the instability caused by their presence was "detrimental to maintaining peace and prosperity in the region and building a better life for all Libyans." Prime Minister Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj said that with the new arms purchased from Italian arms manufacturers "the terrorist forces will be crushed and Libya will be free to continue on its path to prosperity."

As $2 billion represents almost 72% of the Libyan governments annual defence budget, the Italian government has agreed to provide a loan to cover the cost of the purchase with a lowered interest to solidarity with the Libyan government. In order to maintain and use the weaponry provided the Libyan government has announced that it will significantly increase its military spending which currently stands at 3.2% of GDP.

Arms provided to the Libyan government by Italian arms manufacturers:

Leonardo:

- OB 423/21 cluster bombs
- Infantry equipment (excluding guns) e.g. helmets, bulletproof vets etc.
- Ariete MBT's
- Skyguard Aspide SAM's
- FH70 field howitzer's
- AMX International ground-attack aircraft
- A129 Mangusta attack helicopters
- NH90 utility helicopters

URT-Fregantese Delegation to Arrive at Heraklion!

On November 13th, The Republic of Turkey proposed a Mutual Defence Pact to Crete-Rhodes, an act that was interpreted as “bold and controversial” by many political scientists in the FE. While a firm advocate of peace and cooperation in the Balkans and the Mediterranean, the Senatorial State and its Triumviral counterparts cannot help but see future ramifications that might destabilise a region vital to the entire European continent through its maritime trade.

The Turkish move was an unexpected one for the new Fregantese government, and it was surely its first major challenge. The Senate convened for an emergency session, and both the Cretan Parliament’s decree and the arrival of the Turkish delegation were discussed. As such, the Senate unanimously dictated the government to act immediately, and dispatch a delegation to Heraklion.

On November 26th, the Fregantese delegation arrived at Heraklion. The delegation consisted of the Foreign Minister Alexandrei Helios, Minister of Economy Marcel Felie, Minister of Trade Georgos Famalaos and the Head of the MCG (Mediterranean Trade Guild) André Jourdain, with no defence personnel in presence. Their immediate and primary objective, before presenting their case before the esteemed Cretan Parliament and having a meeting with the Cretan government as a whole, was to present the URT proposal of a non-aggression pact with Crete-Rhodes, which has already been announced by the Fregantese government to the international community.

During a press conference immediately after the arrival of the delegation, the Foreign Minister Mr. Helios gave this speech:

“If the Cretan people, its Parliament and its government are in any way fearful of a URT hostility and aggression towards its precious islands, then let it be known: Any sort of disrespect, in any conceivable manner, to the Cretan sovereignty will not be shown by the URT. It is vital for us to maintain peace and stability within the Eastern Mediterranean, and we are hopeful and confident that Cretans share this noble vision. We believe the reason for this defence pact to be suspicious, but we are equally willing to disperse any sort of fear directed towards us. We are ready to respect and uphold Cretan sovereignty as we did back in their first days as a nation, during which we delievered the sovereignty they deserved without any setbacks on our side. If the Turks genuinely wish to cultivate close ties with other nations, let us set up an example. Cultivating strong bonds are not done by fear, but by mutual cooperation and economic prosperity. Where the Turks present guns, violence and fear, we present peace, mutual-respect and prosperity. That’s why we have brought no defence/military personnel to this peaceful island, and have brought the Head of the Mediterranean Trade Guild, to discuss, alongside with the non-aggression pact, a trade deal beneficial to both parties. Our only wish is a prosperous and stable Eastern Mediterranean, firstly for its inhabitants, and then for the whole world.”

Both the Senate and the Government endorsed the speech and called upon the wider European community to “help preserve the Eastern Mediterranean from fear projects and ill-thought actions”. The decision of the Maltese government to ask URT assistance is also perceived as a worry and a defiance of Turkish expansionism in the region, with many political scientists and senators within the FE nearing to the point of labelling Turkey as a “Rouge State”.

It is said that the Government has reconvened to discuss the next stage of the issue, and started to draft a communiqué meant for the Cypriot Govenment, and prepare another delegation to be dispatched to Nicosia.
"Long live the legacy of the Roman Empire!"

Bolivarian Delegation in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, a nation suffering hyper-inflation and recently anti-government clashes in the streets of Harae have received a delegation from the Bolivarian Republic of Puertollano. They were sent to offer a string of agreements from the Bolivarian Republic to help improve the stability and living standards of the nation. Although unaligned in the African Cold War, Zimbabwe is seen as a prime ally of the South Americans; having fought a war of independence against the colonialist Brits, then instituting left-wing land reform and other socialist measures. Many of the current anti-government protests are stemming from a massive spike in petroleum costs, and this is fueling civil disobedience. Puertollano has promised to increase exports of petroleum to land-locked Zimbabwe to dramatically reduce these costs and prevent open conflict in the streets. For this, the Bolivarian Republic is asking for a permanent military base in the Capital, Harae and military alliance. To sweeten the deal, Puertollano has also pledged to upgrade and refurbish the ZANU-PF Party head-quaters in Harae (which is outdated and crumbling, as it was built in the 1960s by the PRC), in a message that President Castillo is contempt with the current Party and administration leading Zimbabwe. On top of that, 20 anti-riot Tiuna vehicles have been offered if the deal is accepted. If this agreement is accepted, it would be the life blood the ZANU-PF leadership needs to keep control of the country and preventing the nation spiraling into civil war.

Puertollano aids Zimbabwe, protests continue

Puertollano may have fired the first real shot in the African cold war today by deciding to aid the beleaguered government of Zimbabwe. The government readily accepted all terms of the deal. including a military base within its capital. The oil exports are sure to help the country in its fuel crisis but the problems are running much deeper then that. Protests have not stopped and are instead accusing the government of going to outside help t ensure its viability rather then making any true change. Movement for Democratic Change accused Puterollano about not caring of the role of the government, only ensuring it is friendly to South American interests. In response the ZANU government claims the MDC has become a puppet of European nations seeking to exploit the country. The president says if any links are found between the MDC and European he will ban the party. This will effectively make Zimbabwe a one party state and most likely set off more problems then it will cause.

In a response to this, the MDC released a video of a protest from last year of a Zimbabwe police force using live ammo to break a protest. This event skirted under the radar with the war in Nigeria and thus was not widely seen. At least 5 people where killed and 30 injured. After the video was released the internet in Zimbabwe was shut down due to a "technical" error and the video has vanished.

Crete

After the failed vote, many external parties attempted to influence the outcome of a future vote. The first instance was the depositing of 10 million NAF dollars into the coffers of the Cretan Communist Party, of course by the FSR. This would remain classified, and the Communist Party kept a closed lid on the topic. The money would be spent in numerous ways, whether that be in the most far eastern constituency of the nation or major road blocks; which would give the representatives from the Triumvirate a hard time. However, before the URT sent a delegation to woo the government of Crete, officials from Turkey were sent. They received a modest reception by the New Democracy Party, but there was no budge on the issue of the missiles. Some of the more business savvy members were hoping Turkey would approach them with economic co-operation, to lessen the impact of a spit with the URT, but there was no such offer. From the existing 22 New Democracy members that opposed it initially, none of them changed their minds. When the trade and diplomatic delegation arrived from the Triumvirate, the convoy was met with protest. The greatly expanded budget of the Communist Party allowed for frivolous spending, thus the Communist Party spent it on a massive blockade of the centre of Heraklion. The URT convoy had to be turned around by police and re-directed through to another route to reach the Parliament, only yet again to be blocked by Communists. It wasn’t until three hours later, that the delegation from the URT could meet with the government. Their emphasis on trade made strong allies with the existing pro-URT wing of the party, but there was a deafening silence on the controversial latinisation program and Greek terrorist attacks, which turned away five voters from New Democracy from siding with the Triumvirate. The URT pledge to respect the sovereignty of Crete fell on deaf ears in the Syriza party, the party was not budging on the issue. Conceding and voting in favour of the URT would be a death blow to Syriza, who are posing as a strong and stable opposition, to hopefully win in the next general election. They couldn’t afford to look undecided.

The special election in the most eastern constituency was being counted. The Communist Party had greater assets to expend on the campaign, although short. The result of this would decide the outcome of the next vote on the Turkish Mssile Agreement. A victory for Syriza would mean an additional vote in favour, a victory for New Democracy would mean an additional vote against.

New Democracy: 36.4%
Syriza: 29.5%
Cretan Communist Party: 15.9%
Cretan Dawn: 8%
Green Party: 6.3%
Hyper Democracy Party: 3.9%

Two-Party Preferred
Syriza: 50.7%
New Democracy: 49.3%

Syriza GAIN.

The high turn-out of the Cretan Communist Party enabled a victory for Syriza in the special election. When it came to the two-party preferred, as Crete has preferential voting/ranked choice voting, the preferences from the Communist Party were able to tip the party over the edge, by a small margin of 0.7%. The Cretan Dawn preferences overwhelming went to the New Democracy Party, but that was unable to stem the tide. Majority of preferences from the Green Party went the Syriza and the majority of preferences from the Hyper Democratic Party (inspired by North America) went to New Democracy. With now one seat up, Syriza called for another vote on the Turkish Military Agreement. The result was the following.

AYE:
20 (Syriza)
5 (New Democracy - dissenting votes)
1 (Cretan Communist Party) = 26 votes AYE.

NAY:
21 (New Democracy)
3 (Cretan Dawn) = 24 votes NAY.

The Turkish Military proposal was confirmed by the Parliament by 26 to 24.

Let there be light across the land!

Seuol, Korea

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

With recent events world wide, and the lack of many natural resources within the border of Korea. The Korean Parliament began to debate the topic of building a trans-continental railway. This Trans-continental railway would run from the city of Pusan, in Southern Korea. All the way through Asia, passing through the borders of China, Raj, Persia, Zackaroth, Israel, Egypt, from this point it would diverge into two separate railways. The railway would tie itself to any railway present in Northern Africa, allowing Asia access to many of Africa's resources (at the purchase from the companies in possession of them.) The secondary line would run from Egypt, do towards Zackarothian annexed Akksum, into the Railways that connect to Tanzania, running down towards the South African railway.

Aye - 53%
Nay - 42%
Abstain - 15%

With the votes cast, it now falls upon the Department of Foreign affairs to see which deals can be brokered, and which portions of the deal would have to be shifted to allow the goals to be easily accessed. The Korean Parliament dispersed, for the day after discussing taxes, and many other plans that Korea may hold in other projects of Infrastructure. Some Conservatives leaving with an audible dismay for the idea, at how costly it would be. However many upon the more Liberal end of the spectrum rejoiced with the idea.

Monrovia, Liberia

After much deliberation and debate the elected council and king of the Brie Dekame Confederation, or BDC, has pooled its resources to repair the infrastructure damage wrought by the recent conflicts in the region. Due to the reconstruction cost, it has caused the government to allocate money from other portions, such as Education, and Fine arts. With the Allocation of funds, the teachers staged a walk out requesting the funding to be returned to assist them in, "Bettering the Youth of the nation." As one put it. Due to this mass protest the council will be looking into "ways to boost the economy in the near future" to quote member Shouida Brekairn.

Turkish-Cretan Defence Agreement Survives

"War is not an independent phenomenon, but the continuation of politics by different means." ~ Carl von Clausewitz

November 27, 2021 -- Narrowly, Turkish military endeavors in Crete have survived the the slugger that is political debate. Quickly following the affirmation of the permanent military presence of of Turkey the Ministry of Defence posted official troop and weapon movements to Crete. Foreign Minister Aksoy has announced he will be taking an extended diplomatic stay in Crete to speak with his counterparts in the Crete government. Minister Kartal announced he was needed in Ankara and left earlier this morning. Crete can expect a multitude of bilateral agreements, one of which is an extensive trade agreement.

The forces moving into Crete are relatively small; however, pack a large punch. The 2nd ‘Hortlak’ Regiment of the Aegean Army, numbering roughly 2,000 men, will be permanently stationed with Crete forces at Camp Pegasus near Heraklion. A small naval detachment consisting of 2 Istanbul and 2 Ada class frigates will be stationed at Souda Bay Naval Base and will be denoted as the 1st Surface Action Squadron. Finally, many strategic anti-ship weapon systems from all branches of the Defence Force will begin their transit to Crete and will be established in multiple positions across the island. The Turkish troops assigned to these strategic weapons will work alongside Cretan personnel in an attempt to familiarize these newfound allies with Turkish equipment. The exact quantity of anti-ship weapons being deployed has not been released; however, it is safe to assume the Defence Force will not neglect the strategic importance of Crete.

Now, where does the Mediterranean Community go from here?

Zimbabwean Fire Wall established

The Technical Division a part of the new Puertollanoan military base in Harae, Zimbabwe, has established a firewall across the internet with parishioner from the ZANU-PF government. The Firewall was explicitly designed to monitor the internet after the major opposition posted images of a violent protest a few years ago, but the reasoning behind it is different. According to the Technical Division, the content was of gory nature and inappropriate to be online. But, the Firewall will not only prevent inappropriate content for the internet, it will also target opposition chat rooms, forums, sites and the rest and stop the spread of anti-government rhetoric. However, this is done in secret and without great fanfare. After the continued protests, the Bolivarian Republic agreed to step up the aid to Zimbabwe further. Puertollano will now take responsibility of the 10 billion NAF dollar debt of the nation, to help the struggling nation recover economically. The state-owned Central Military Industry of Puertollano has also begun beginning plans for the construction of a vehicular factory to produce Puertollanoan Tiuna multi-purpose vehicles. This will employ hundreds from inside Harae, reducing employment, and half of all vehicles made will be donated to the Zimbabwean Government for internal affairs.

DRC Civil War: The war heats up

The DRC Civil war has seemingly begun a new phase as the 6 factions begin to either attack, defend or both, their claims upon the massive nation, In the west, the Angolan backed The Socialist Republic of the Congo(SRC) is pushing back against what little terrority the government holds. Their ultimate plan is to take the capital of Kinshasa and push until they reach the ocean, gaining the valuable ports and access to the sea. So far the government has held out but The Republic of the Congo is just to the north and has been supporting the Socialist backed rebellion as well, mostly with donated supplies.

In the north, the The Islamic Caliphate of the Congo(ICC) and the The Holy Congo Army(HCA) battle it out in terrible battles. This is actually a spill over for the equally unstable Central African Republic, these two armies being branches of the forces fighting up there. CSN reports have stated mass purging are occuring in the ICC as people are being forced to convert or die under the radical Islamist regime. In the HCA territory, disturbing footage of HCA troops abducting children and forcing them to fight. The HCA seems to be trying to field a large army of children as children from the Central African Republic have also been spotted among their ranks.

In the east the The Hutu Freedom Force(HFF) and the Tutsi Defense Army (TDA) are battling over to see who can control the eastern Congo. The HFF is currently trying to control most of the eastern congo and seccede from the DRC in an effort to create a place for all Hutu people. The TDA however claim the HFF is starting a new genocide against Tutsi people in the area and are looking to stop it. Their goal is unknown besides stopping the supposed killings. Rwanda is bankrolling the TDA with Bruindi providing some support as well. The risk is here is spillover into Rwanda and a restart of the Rwandan genocide or a new genocide of Hutu people.

So far most of the country remains unclaimed with large swaths of land fending themselves or taken over by smaller gangs. Both the FSR and Europe have shown extreme hesitance to get involved in what one French diplomat called "The biggest mess since the Balkans"

Early morning, Southern DRC

The sound of eight helicopters could be heard as the French Confederation made their move. France had not forgotten the mine at Shinkolobwe, how could they when a former government had been caught up in attempts at reopening it? And of course, Franco-British Union scientists had been involved in its use during the Second World War as part of the US's atomic project. With a new Cold War across Africa, and the war in the DRC growing worse by the day, the time had come to secure the site once and for all.

As the helicopters landed, elite special forces quickly moved to establish a perimeter and detain anyone found around the mine for questioning. Concrete would soon cover as much of the excavation equipment and mine cuts themselves as possible, with the rest flooded. Landmines would be deployed, along with entrenchments and SAM launchers. Within a week or two, the entire site would not only be under guard but also protected enough to make mining impossible for some time even if the Confederation forces were overrun. However, questions would be asked to locals and the mine itself would be examined before this was carried out in order to ensure that they truly were the first there and nothing was amiss.

Australia ramps up TACT

Apartments are becoming the ideal homes for Nigerians,
as real estate prices increase alongside population boom

CANBERA - Amidst a growing crisis in the continent of Africa, the Union Legislature House has once again passed another bill, House Act 2209, to help the government of TACT in its administration of the small southern Nigerian protectorate. The bill was passed under a hot pretext that TACT can fall prey to terrorist groups in the sub-saharan area.

It is noteworthy to take that the open-door policy being implemented by TACT on refugees and asylum seekers has caused some worry in Canbera, with some officials stating the increasing correlation of terrorist attacks with increasing refugees, destabilizing the protectorate's morale. The Nigerian Civil Guard, an Australian established police force, has reported several terrorist apprehensions in the border and within TACT, the most notable was a raid in Warri that saw 17 suspected terrorists killed in a fire fight in a cold rainy Sunday afternoon. About 200 people were injured, and 8 people were arrested.

House Act 2209 has 2 main parts, with the first part covering the increase of social services funding, the development of schools and hospitals, the establishment of economic cooperatives to help local farmers and laborers, the development of housing in rural areas, and the increase of pay for select government workers such as teachers, nurses and police. The bill also sees to it that government agencies will have upgraded equipment and enough material for schools and hospitals to operate cheaply for locals.

The second part will cover administration powers to be taken and given by the Australian government. The TACT government can now not be able to appropriate money upon their own decisions, establish price control , enforce eminent domain upon property without consent of the Australian government, and veto Australian Army decisions without the approval of the Australian Legislature House. The TACT can now be able to call up army volunteers in times of conflict without Australian Army approval, create a senate/assembly to make laws for the protectorate without Australian Army approval, control the Civil guard completely and call up dues of the Australian Army and its personnel.

With new conflicts in Africa springing there and now, it comes to question whether Australia will actively play a role in part of the world where chaos, poverty and disaster are always present.

|| Reports suggest Sharp End PMCs total 11,000 strong across TACT || 88 people apprehended at border with NSRA || French Language, to be part of future curriculum || Polls suggest Australians are "ok" with TACT-Australia relationship || Hundreds of refugees still stuck at border crossings || TACT economy driven by agriculture and construction || TACT population forecasted around 12 million people

The final FA-19N bound for Italy takes its final moments on Australian soil

MELBOURNE - It has been confirmed by the executive spokesperson that the Australian government and Italian government had agreed on a deal that would see 40 brand new FA-19Ns sold to the Italian Navy as part of their undergoing fleet refurbishment. The deal occured last October 11, 2021.

The government has repeated its stance that the FA-19S is open for orders, but denies the availability of the FA-19V to the market for national security measures.

The first batch of 12 FA-19Ns left Perth Australia bound for Italy via Balabac Island, and Gwandar overseas bases at October 30, 2021. The next 12 fighters left using the same route on November 15. French Confederation activates MDPs

The Seventh Republic and the overseas dominions of the French Confederation have activated their mutual defense pacts. This includes the Franco-American Detente, the Triple Entente, the DEU's European Defense Community, and Strasbourg Accords, the Franco-Pacific Defense Agreement, and the Near East Accord. President Noir declared that the blatant violation of multiple CSN requirements, including but not necessarily limited to NCRPII and the peace agreement which recognized the legitimacy of the NSRA's independence, consequently required the capitulation and political dismemberment of the NSR immediately. The French Republic hopes that their valued allies will come to their assistance in the PSAN and to that of their close friends in the TACT, in order to ensure the continued survival of the true Nigerian Confederation.

Edifice Global Investments reveals $800 million urban renewal projects in Bratislava

Today Edifice Global Investments, a major Italian property and infrastructure developer backed by the National Sovereign Wealth Fund and Atlantia revealed its $500 million investment in urban renewal in the URT's newest city, Bratislava. As a new member of the Triumvirate the city is the URT's poorest, most run-down city and has the worst quality of life in the DEU. In an effort to mitigate the impacts of the city's poor housing quality and lack of office space to spur economic growth, which are the two major factors contributing towards the city's poor quality of life and stagnant economy, EGI has revealed two major projects that will be built over Bratislava's two poorest and most run-down neighbourhoods in order to begin giving the city a new life and a chance of economic growth as part of the URT.

The first project, Danubeside shopping centre and apartments, is a retail and living project right on the riverside that will consist of 100% affordable housing due to the lack of demand for luxury housing in the city. Alongside the 800 family apartments provided will be a combined inside and outside shopping centre, with a high-street for outside shopping and indoor mall for more shopping. It is hoped the large amount of retail space avalible will be filled by franchise companies from Italy, the ADE and the Fregantese Empire which will aid in the social and cultural integration of the citizens of Bratislava into the URT.

The second project, Ružinov Towers, named after the east side of Bratislava that the project will be based in, will consist of 4 residential towers, also 100% affordable, as well as an office tower to provide Bratislava with much needed modern office space that will also be provided with fiberoptic internet infrastructure. In the grounds of these towers restaurants, shops, parkland and leisure facilities such as a swimming pool and gym will be provided to give the 1,000 family apartments in the complex access to all the amenities they need.

Edifice Global Investments has said that all of the new homes built will be affordable to those who have lost their dilapidated homes for the new developments meaning they will be able to move into the new homes and still live in the same area that they used to. Despite this there will still be surplus homes due to the greater density that EGI is building at allowing for people from surrounding neighbourhoods to move into housing that promotes a good quality of life.

SOCIALISM IN ONE CITY

Image

Democratically controlled housing developments in Orostan near a rail line.

Italian investments into the Bratislava housing market have raised the question of why the Italian government backed lending firms would pour money into what is a low price city. The World Worker has analyzed the Italian plans for development, and come to the conclusion that Bratislava will be seeing incredible changes - but the good that comes from those changes will not be distributed among the current residents. The Italian developments are designed to attract labor aristocracy, petty-bourgeois, or anyone who has a good amount of money on hand. Certainly more than the median worker in Bratislava. As wealthier people move into the various neighborhoods of the city, into the (currently) affordable housing units, an economic change will begin to take place. Families that have lived in the city for hundreds of years will find new shops and services which they cannot afford coming to town and rent growing every month. The landlord class of Bratislava will begin raising prices across the city once it becomes apparent that wealthy migrants are coming to all sections of the city. The culture of the city will be absorbed and destroyed by the URT's capitalistic mode of production. The residents of the city will gradually be displaced and forced to move elsewhere. Several Federation aid organizations have stated their aim to prevent Italy's "urban replacement" by organizing protests on the ground, strikes in the construction industry of Bratislava, and rent strikes. If the proletariat of the city is organized, they hold the most powerful position and can dictate the terms of any housing developments in Bratislava.

In the FSR, housing is a constitutionally guaranteed right. There is not one single homeless person or worker who must go into debt to afford a place to sleep in the Federation. In Orostan, housing is priced according to what it takes to maintain it. The price of maintenance is clear to all residents of the building or buildings, and all have a say in how the development is operated or how the government in control of the housing preforms its duties. Newly constructed housing is usually commissioned by the National Industrial Board's urban division and is organized according to three types of development:

-High rise
-Low rise
-Expansion

High rise developments are most common in major cities along the Orostani and Andean coasts. Such developments hold the highest population densities and the most integrated services. For example, one such development in Sao Paulo features its own metro station. These developments are almost always compact and designed with mass transit in mind. However, such developments come at a cost. High rise housing is known for its high cost of living, as these developments are almost always difficult to maintain. Of course, this 'high' cost might be considered a low rent for such units in other parts of the world.

Low rise housing is constructed only in the less dense parts of Orostan and the FSR, outside major urban centers in medium to large size towns, or in the outer neighborhoods of major cities. Low rise developments range from three floors to ten or fifteen. These developments are designed to cost little to maintain and house large numbers of people. These developments do not come with integrated services like high rise housing but do often feature nearby parks or are built around access to schools and industrial jobs. Housing developments like these are rarely constructed in Orostan now, due to the current urban planning problems in Orostan mostly consisting of how to build around massive steel mills and factories constructed during a time when Orostan did not have as many people living in its cities.

"Expansion" zones are the most common type of housing. They are constructed where ever and when ever they are needed. In major cities, this consists of buildings not designed as part of any larger projects. These structures house the majority of urban citizens in the FSR. In Orostani cities the quality and cost of 'expansion' zones varies very much. The oldest housing still in use in Orostan is block size developments designed to deflect and survive nuclear bombing. They are classified in the expansion category due to their status as little more than large towers with no sort of large development scheme guiding their construction. More recent expansion planning takes the form of low rise apartment blocks.

Crisis in Zackaroth: Nassaar Akram falls ill, unable to complete duties as High Leader.

Yesterday after a session of the High Council met, High Leader Nassar Akram collapsed on the way out of The Citidal in Toss. He was quickly rushed to Toss General Hospital for emergency treatment. Details are unclear at the moment but it appears he may have suffered some sort of stroke or seizure. It was bad enough that they had to place the High Leader in a medically induced coma to save his life. It is unclear but very unlikely Akram will be able to return to regular duty if he even recovers. The High Council had to call an emergency session to discuss the matter and consult the Zackarothian Constitution. According to the Constitution, in case of death or incapacity a new High Leader must be chosen within 6 months from the date of death/incapacitation of the current High Leader. During that time, The High Council will rule instead.

Because of the events surrounding Nigeria require quick leadership, the High Council has agreed on making the election in two weeks, Dec 21st. In return, the NGZ and ZPP will field candidates that are well known to the people of Zackaroth. The NGZ will field former High Leader, Shepard Abdullah while the ZPP will field his 2018 opponent Al Reza. The ZBP, Akram party, is unable to field a candidate and will defer this election in a concession they get to choose the debate stages in the 2024 election. It's expected most of the debate and posturing will be on the new war that has erupted in Nigeria. Akram wished to stay out the war, debating yesterday whether or not the MDP was active since the attack occurred in Africa and not the Middle East. However, both parties where against doing nothing but had radically different ideas on what to do.

Abdullah's party wanted a full intervention to crush the NSR and wanted a full invasion of the country. The ZPP however did not want to invade at all, instead only sending a small amount of troops and instead being support with electronic warfare and air support. They only advocated a full invasion if the FSR escalated the war. It remains to be seen who the voters will choose in this tense time. The High Council did elect to send a troop of 500 Zackaroth special operations soldiers and crew to aid France until a new High Leader could be voted in.

Suspicious timing of High Leader Akrams illness. I wish him the best recovery, but this smells like European meddling, that's why you must always check your food of poison before you eat it. This is not crazy, the Israelis did the same to another anti-imperialist hero; Yasser Arafat. #SilenceImperialist!

What's Going on in Nigeria—And Why We Can Learn From It

Image

5 December 2021
George Lopez

Less than a week ago, the Orostani puppet state in Nigeria, the Nigerian Socialist Republic, began an offensive against French and Australian controlled areas of the nation, which had just gotten out of a bloody and destructive civil war. While this move has drawn international criticism and broke many CSN mandates, which has been covered in an earlier article, this article will focus on the NSR's (essentially, the FSR's) military invasion strategy.

In an invasion of Magella, the FSR would likely use similar tactics as it has in this war; after all, its military is based around such a strategy. The FSR's first offensive moves involve its air force, which is the main focus of its military. Electronic warfare aircraft attempt suppression of enemy air defense maneuvers, followed by bombers taking out the enemy airforce capabilities through destruction of usable runways. This effectively gives the FSR full control of enemy airspace.

Simultaneously, massive concentrations of ground troops would cross the border, infantry accompanied by, mainly, tanks and artillery. These army components would make great use of already built roads to travel to their destination. Additionally, the FSR military would take advantage of terrorist cells sympathetic to their cause to hinder the enemy military (although this has not been confirmed to have been caused by the FSR, it is highly suspected). And, finally, a de facto naval blockade would form while warships provide supplies.

While the strategy would likely be similar in an invasion of Magella, a complete blockade would be impossible, so it would be more likely that ships would attempt to blockade more specific strategic areas.

For the purposes of this article, FSR military strategy will be divided into three fronts: aerial, land, and naval.

On the aerial front, the FSR would have to either adopt a vastly different strategy or face disappointing failure. While President Salamanca's highly secretive air defense weapons have remained out of the public view, it is likely that these weapons would be highly resistant to electronic jamming and perhaps even have electronic warfare components of their own. However, these systems would only be used effectively if placed strategically (i.e. in militarily, economically, and politically important areas). President Salamanca's recent affirmation that the war in Nigeria is "being watched closely" seemingly confirms that the Magellan military has had similar thoughts.

The land front would be much more difficult. The Magellan ground troops, which would likely have time to prepare for war due to the fact large troop concentrations would be noticed on satellite imagery, should focus on anti-tank weapons and even electronic warfare systems to disrupt enemy artillery, in addition to its own artillery and tanks. The Andes Mountains, covering much of Magella's borders, narrows down the number of possible incursions to mountain passes and existing roads, which the army should take advantage of. A northern advance through the arid Atacama Desert would mostly only hurt the FSR, since no air supplies would be able to be dropped.

The naval front would be somewhere between the two others in terms of difficulty. Magella's navy would have to focus on preventing the FSR navy from docking and supplying troops, perhaps through the use of coastal artillery, while also hindering the FSR's partial blockade, with its own surface and subcraft offensive capabilities.

In summary, while the Magellan military would have most likely undisputed aerial superiority, which could perhaps weaken the other fronts, the ground fronts and naval fronts would be much more complicated. To succeed, the Magellan navy should focus on coastal defense acquisitions in addition to offensive warships and subcraft, perhaps even connected to the CLNK system. The army should focus on electronic warfare, artillery, and tanks. But above all, the Magellan military should focus on maintaining the support and cooperation of European allies' militaries, because Magella would undoubtedly fail against the FSR on its own.

The Signatures of the Santiago Skyline
Image

If one were to take a stroll throughout beautiful Bicentennial Park in Santiago, one's attention would undoubtedly be drawn to the blue sparkle that is the nearby business district. Including the two tallest buildings in Magella, here's a summary of those blue office buildings.

The first, most prominent one is the Gran Torre Santiago, the tallest building in Magella and Latin America. Park of the iconic Costanera Center, this building comprises mostly offices. Its 74 floors and connections to the rest of the complex, which includes the largest shopping mall in Magella in addition to five star hotels, restaurants, and other office buildings means that this building is always bustling with activity. Additionally, the entire complex is environmentally friendly, having a large green roof and even using water from a nearby canal to help mitigate heat.

Another prominent building is the Titanium La Portada, the second tallest building in Magella. It too is used for office space, with 55 floors, and is also very environmentally friendly, earning a green rating from the LEED system. It's ground floor is mostly for pedestrian and recreational use, having a Starbucks and a Claro, among others.

Finally, with the NAF embassy sandwiched between this and Titanium La Portada, is Parque Titanium. Consisting of three office buildings, each with 23 floors, this complex is also rated green on the LEED system, categorizing it as environmentally friendly, even using waters from the ground level in the air conditioning system, similar to the Costanera center. It includes a connecting walkway between the three buildings, the roof of which is covered in plants of all varieties, in addition to many restaurants, a public park, and a convention center.

These three prominent aspects of the Santiago skyline, within walking distance of one another and the Tobalaba Metro Station (with there even being an aboveground tunnel directly from the station to the inside of the mall) are a must for tourists visiting Santiago, especially with the nearby Bicentennial Park. You can see a gallery here.
