Edifice Global Investments reveals NAF$1.1 billion 'Costa Ritoque' project- Magella's largest resort city

Today it was released that Edifice Global Investments has begun investing $1.1 billion into the construction of a resort city on the Magellan coast in the area around the Ritoque sand dunes just 25km north of Valparaiso. The resort city aims to draw holidaymakers from Cape Thetis as currently there are no major short-haul resort destinations for sun, sea and sand from Cape Thetis, which with its booming population sees flocks of tourists travel overseas-year round. As well as this, Costa Ritoque will aim to draw in thousands of tourists from across Magella as the 'mecca of holidays in the Southern Cone.' Representatives from EGI say that the combined populations of Cape Thetis and Magella make up a huge tourist market that has been forced to travel long-haul due to lack of investment in domestic tourism despite suitable weather conditions in central Chile, having the perfect mediterranean climate in the area around Valparaiso and Santiago. This large investment in Magella comes only a few months after EGI announced a $450 million mixed-use development project in Santiago, signalling EGI's hopes for Magella, which the company describes as "the quietly successful and stable country in South America that has huge development potential."

Alitalia says that it will begin daily flights between Santiago and Cape Thetis once demand increases once Costa Ritoque begins to grow. A flight time of only 3 hours is a big improvement over the long-haul flights that Cape Thetis residents have had to make for their holidays. Domestic Magellan airlines will also begin flights from cities within the country for Magellan tourists. It is hoped that the greater interactions between Cape Thetis residents and Magellan's will encourage greater unity and friendship between the territory and Magella as well as greater bilateral trade, business and migration.

Costa Ritoque development plan:

Phase 1: First allocated section of development will be of low-rise holiday villas, condos and resorts.

Phase 2: Medium-rise holiday apartments and hotels.

Phase 3: High-rise holiday apartments, hotels, casinos and leisure district.

Phase 4: low-rise holiday villas, waterpark and shopping park on outskirts.

Phase 5: Low-rise holiday villas and large resorts.

Dunas de Ritoque Wildlife Park: Wildlife park will not be built on and will offer recreational activities such as off-roading, quad-biking and camping.

F-30-E Road Upgrade: Section of F-30-E that will be heavily used will be upgraded from a two-lane to a four-lane road to ease congestion and improve traffic flow.

2021 Elections
Image

The 2021 Elections were always going to be a significant national event, spending a lot of time in the spotlight, but this time it was especially prominent. As the first election in which the Popular Front coalition did not participate, due to its collapse following continued corruption investigations after the impeachment of many of its politicians, President Marina Salamanca's main opponent was Carlos Sanchez, who was buoyed into national view by an alliance of right-wing parties that have become increasingly significant in national politics.

Carlos Sanchez, cousin of anti-FSR activist José Sanchez who was just released from Andean prison for protesting an anti-Chilean statue, campaigned on far-right ideas, including the transition from a mainly worker cooperative-dominated society to a corporation-dominated one, as part of his radical "Nordic Model" economic plan. However, the surprising support his plan received managed to turn economics into a hot topic in this election, with President Salamanca aiming to maintain Magella's current system.

Another important difference was over Magella's international relations, especially those with the FSR and Puertollano. President Salamanca faced sharp criticism for her abrupt return to normal relations with the FSR, despite being the leader who led Magella out of its rule. While both candidates agreed that the FSR could not be trusted and that the Orostani nation would likely never back down on its desire to brutally conquer the nation, they disagreed on responses. President Salamanca desired minimal European support while building up of Magella's own military, so as to not possibly provoke the FSR. She claimed that normal relations were a "wild success." However, Carlos Sanchez proposed open European alliance in the so-called "Second Cold War," to provide Magella adequate protection in addition to its own military.

Voters in northern and southern Magella generally supported Sanchez and Salamanca, respectively, but voters in major cities were surprisingly sharply divided. This is likely due to some Popular Front voters joining Salamanca's supporters, while some more anti-FSR supporters joined Sanchez. In a hard fought and very close election, President Salamanca was elected to complete her very first complete term. However, many right wing supporters of Sanchez found their way to office in legislature, which, while still giving Salamanca's party a majority, showed an increasing far-right populace, mainly those who find worker coops inefficient and a positive FSR relationship dangerous.

In Other News: Member of Sanchez's campaign stuff caused controversial twitter war after implying Salamanca is an FSR-bought politician; Salamanca reportedly put pressure on Costa Ritoque project approval in hopes of gaining back staunch anti-FSR voters; The giant mess taking place in Mauritania, and why Magella is silent on it

AIR SKIRMISH OVER MAURITANIA

Reports from the Central Military Command published this morning have announced to the world that yesterday two Federation EE-2 aircraft shot down two French Dassault Rafaels. The skirmish occurred after one of the French fighters fired a missile at a Federation transport aircraft, and it is believed both pilots of the transport survived. Operations to recover them are currently ongoing. All Federation military units have been placed on maximum alert and air patrols around the FSR have been increased. More to come as the story develops.

Latest Castillo rant: Mauritania and Magella

Through his favourite medium to spread his message, President Castillo spoke on live national television to address the war in Mauritania and the state of Magella.

May God help Mauritania, because we of course know all to well that the deviant hands of the imperialist yankees and Europeans will not bring justice to the nation. Their intentions are fake and their unquenchable thirst for war is evident, increasingly so by the day. The French, to justify their criminal actions in Mauritania have intervened under the false guise of liberating slaves, but that is a thinly hidden veil for the plundering and puppetering of the country as a whole. If these people cared an inch about the rights of slaves and chattel in the nation, they would not be bombing, murdering and mutilating the slave revolution in the South, where the brave people stood up against not only direct slavery, but the indirect slavery from rule in Strasbourg. Now, the Imperialist Coalition is edging its' way closer towards the capital of the nation and the fate of the nation is growing dimmer by the minute. This does not mean the death of a liberated people in Mauritania, because the freedom fighters still exist in the South and still persistently reject the attacks from French and allied assaults. These people wanted peace, freedom from slavery, but the first reaction of the French Empire was to bombard them. Let us not forget the massacre at Bassinkou, where civilians still remained buried in ashes and rubble. Their crime - nothing. Their crime was flying the flags of Puertollano and the FSR. If that justifies death, then I will fly our flag high and proud. Come bomb this, you warmongering pigs. Mauritania is being bombed into oblivion because it is in 'Francophone Africa', Francophone Africa my ass. There is no Francophone Africa, there is just Africa. France does not belong in Africa and neither do the Brits, the Bengals, the Americans and .. the Germans. Like the Ballad for a Free South America; 'go on home imperialist soldiers, go on home, have you got no fucking homes of your own?'

While the invaders turn Africa into dust, they are fluffing their cushions in Magella. Italy has begun building luxury hotels for their European guests in Magella so that while they're bombing peoples' homes in Africa they can be getting a pedicure in a state of the art facility. Magella is being transformed from an independent South American nation into the play-land of European elites and war industrialists. When another war breaks out, the Bolivarian Republic knows where to shell. It reminds me of Cuba under the iron fist of Batista. The Americans were lapping it up, and it all proceeded a people's revolution. Wait for the European Rich to arrive and it will only be a countdown until the people rise up again and overthrow the system that creates poverty and inequality. It is an eyesore on the South American continent. I demand the leader of Magella immediately stop those operations or soon become the play-place for the European elite. Your choice.

"Impossible" that Confederation fighters downed FSR cargo plane, recordings show

Gun camera footage and voice recordings from the squadron involved in the 'dogfight' in Mauritania have emerged, the same day President Noir summoned the ambassadors of Puertollano, NAF, and the FSR to discuss the Mauritanian War. The recordings demonstrate their brief surprise at a SAM launch from the ground targeting the FSR cargo plane, and the immediate response by one of the pilots to launch an air-to-ground missile at the source of the weapon covered by his wingman. They comment that it was probably another ICN group, and mention their thoughts for their comrades lost over the skies of the capitol to similar SAM fire, only to be interrupted suddenly by an attack from FSR fighters. The first plane downed was the lead aircraft targeting the SAM site, followed by his wingman when he tried to move onto the attacker's tail for a gun kill. The pilots scream their frustration that their planes weren't loaded with any air-to-air missiles that morning, and one by one they are forced to either eject or are shot down and killed.

After meeting with the American ambassadors, President Noir said that he had given the FSR one month to explain their actions, although they suspected it was a terrible accident. He also expressed his sorrow for the families, who were yet to learn if any survivors had been found.

1,000,000 residency permits open to low-skilled citizens from Poland

Today, in an unprecedented action, the Minister of the Interior (Enrico Letta) announced that 1 million residency permits had been made avalible to low-skilled Polish citizens wishing to migrate and start a new life in Italy. Relations between Italy and Poland have not always been particularly healthy, with strong opposition to Polish migrants attempting to enter Italy in the past during the troubles in eastern Europe. However, tensions have improved recently particularly with the deployment of Italian police forces to Poland in order to help tackle organised crime and corruption in the eastern European country.

The government has cited the need for a much greater number of low-skilled workers in Italy as most young Italians now opt for a university degree and professional job over low-skilled jobs in areas such as agriculture and manufacturing that are so vital to the Italian economy. By welcoming 1,000,000 low-skilled workers from Poland it is hoped that these positions can be filled and that the Polish people making a new life in Italy will have a better quality of life and outlook for their future by living in Italy.

The requirements of Polish citizens to receive a residency permit are the following:

- Minimum age of 16
- Maximum age of 40
- Must be fit to work
- No criminal convictions for at least 5 years prior to applying

Once applicants have sent off their applications to the Ministry of the Interior they will be offered a range of job opportunities from businesses/industries that are in need of more workers, most notably the construction industry due to the large increase in building projects in Italy such as the expansion of Milan. Once permit holders arrive and begin working in Italy they will be immediately shortlisted on the Fast Track Citizenship Scheme (FTCS) which allows people who hold a fast track citizenship certification to 'skip the queue' of people in-waiting for Italian citizenship. Those with fast track citizenship certification usually receive citizenship within 1-2 years, an extremely short time in comparison to the usual wait for the bureaucratic machine of the Ministry of the Interior to process citizenship applications.

The prospect of an additional 1 million citizens to Italy in only 1-2 years has worried some who are concerned about how the healthcare system will be affected as well as how housing demand will be affected. In response the government has launched an investigative committee to find ways of mitigating the impact to services from the influx of people.

Minister of the Interior, Enrico Letta, answering questions from the media in a press conference to address the announcement: Image

Church of Canada and the Orthodox Church formally unify!
May September 30th, 2021
The Church of Canada and the Orthodox Church, after long years of maintaining good relations, have finally unified; the Orthodox Church of Canada has now been formed.

In a meeting between the Head of the Church of Canada and the Ecumenical Patriarch of Athens, it was decided that the Church of Canada would formally unify with the Orthodox Church. Already, the Church of Canada is making adjustments in its inner workings to fully align itself to the Orthodox Church. This was met with minimal resistance; mostly minor protests by some Protestant Evangelists, however they stand few in number. A majority of members of the Canadian Church followed through with the changes and supported the move to join the Orthodox Church. Millions of Canadian citizens have been moving to their new Churches to be re-baptized as Orthodox Christians, reminiscent of the conversion of the Kievan Rus under Vladimir the Great, when many Russian peoples were baptized in great number during the mass conversions. This act is probably the largest step the Church of Canada had taken since splitting from the Anglican Church in late 1987. This act had formally spread the Orthodox Church far further and wider, to 170 million people, and established a foothold in the Americas. The Church of Canada has as of now became the Orthodox Church of Canada, and those 170 million people have now joined the Orthodox Community.

Canadian Waves updates their Subcraft technologies!
September 15th, 2021
The North American Navy has recently ordered for their Subcraft fleets to receive these upgrades. Find out why.

Thanks to further cooperation with Japanese industries had recently updated much of their Subcraft fleets, applying new and improved engines, guns, and computers in their light carriers and heavy carriers and their newer light cruiser models.

The MTLS model in particular was essentially the Japanese Spin-off of their RTS. The difference was that the RTS could fire at a faster rate than the MTLS, however the MTLS could hit harder and from a greater distance, and was even nicknamed the underwater rail-gun. With recent developments, Canadian Waves has developed the MTLS Type 2; using more watertight materials, they are able to fully protect the electromagnetic propulsion from within the gun, thus guaranteeing that it can live up to its nickname in any scenario whilst maintaining efficiency The ATS Type 1 Model and the Type 2 models as well have both been upgraded. For refresher, the ATS Type 1 unloads all rounds out from 3-6 barrels at once, as opposed to the MTLS which fires them 1 by 1, and the ATS Type 2 does something relatively similar to that, except not really. It does the same general premise; it fires multiple torpedoes out of the same tube. The ATST-1 in the past has had troubles in firing all barrels at once. It would have the tendency to jam, and when this happened, it would be a pain to unjam. They resolved this problem by giving it a proper fire-control computer. As for the ATST-2, the weapon had the issue of not only being heavy, but also taking a long time to drain compared to its counterparts. This was resolved by shortening the barrel, though, in turn this made its role slightly redundant, going from being capable of firing 4-5 torpedoes at once to a mere 2-3. Nonetheless, this resolved both problems; shorter barrel and because it's shorter, less drain time is needed. Nonetheless, it still takes longer than a majority of weapons to drain. Further all of the engines has been updated as well, however information on the engines has remained redacted and likely the information won't be released until a few months later.

Thus far, several Heavy Cruisers, Light Carriers and Light Cruisers have recieved such updates and are currently the only ones available for service. The rest are retired until they've received said updates. Further information about updates regarding new ship designs and Subfighter updates have yet to be released to the public.

Puertollanoan return to Galicia

Apparently on the orders of Premier Garcia, the leader of the Socialist Federal Republic of Galicia, the soldiers and military assets from the National Bolivarian Armed Forces of Puertollano have returned to the small state in western Spain after a cooling down period after the independence referendum. The independence referendum, held in 2017 saw the population overwhelmingly support the measure to become an independent nation from the Bolivarian Republic by nearly two thirds of the voting public. However, after the transpiring events in Mauritania, the Premier asked for the return of the troops to bolster national security. "We are living in perilous times," wrote Premier Garcia. "Mauritanians are being killed for solely identifying as socialist, this puts the entire security of our socialist nation at stake," he continued. 250,000 servicemen and women from the National Bolivarian Armed Forces of Puertollano have arrived and are re-assuming their positions in Puertollanoan-created military bases scattered across the nation, such as ABM units, anti-aircraft, standard military barracks, ICBM launching stations, advanced radar and more. They will be joining 40,000 servicemen and women from the Galician Republican Army who already serve in the independent military of Galicia. Puertollanoan destroyers, submarines and frigates have returned to Galicia as well as the Puertollanoan airforce.

This is unknown, but with the arrival of the army, navy and air force there was the arrival of hundreds of thousands of packets of Semtex-H, 250 new South American MBT the Jaguar, technology and resources to re-assume construction of ICBMs in Galicia (although there already being a stockpile in Galicia) and thousands of additional small arms (not including the personal weapons taken by each soldier of the Puertollanoan military). Thousands of barrels of reserve petroleum and enough military supplies to keep the it functionable for a few months without outside aid.

"Néma Accord" signed

The French Seventh Republic and Confederation has signed an agreement with Puertollano and Galicia related to ballistic missile and nuclear weapon restrictions, which also addresses the question of what will happen to socialist fighters who surrender to the Confederation's troops in Mauritania. The full text has been released publicly following the agreement;

Néma Accord

An agreement between the Bolivarian Republic of Puertollano, Socialist Federal Republic of Galicia, French Seventh Republic, and French Confederation.

- No ICBM/IRBM/SRBMs are to be deployed in any capacity in the territories of the Socialist Federal Republic of Galicia.
- No ICBM/IRBM/SRBMs are to be deployed in any capacity in the territories of the French Confederation's Overseas Dominions in the Caribbean or French Polynesia.
- No nuclear weapons are to be deployed in any capacity in the territories of the Socialist Federal Republic of Galicia.
- No nuclear weapons are to be deployed in the French Confederation's South Atlantic Fleet.
- Socialist fighters in Mauritania are to be given amnesty so long as they surrender their weapons.
- Mauritanian socialists are permitted to political engagement so long as they remain within the safe zone in Bassikounou until after the defeat of the ICN.

President rides popularity wave

President Philippe Noir has surprised all political commentators by soaring in recent polls. While his Conservative Party remains second to the social-liberal parliamentary coalition, he has emerged as a respected head of state following recent efforts to improve the DEU in terms of security cooperation, the removal of ICBMs and banning of nuclear warheads in Galicia, and also his expert handling of the conflict in Mauritania. While his predecessor had essentially gifted him the presidency prior to the last election due to perceived incompetence in the Second Nigerian War, Noir has quashed the socialist uprising on the border of the Algerian Dominion and almost guided the coalition to the occupation of the main populated cities with only minimal French casualties, and ensured that soon a stable government will have the chance to emerge after the ICN is driven out of the country. Overall, foreign policy triumph has seen Noir earn the trust of a country which until recently wouldn't have seriously considered him for a second term following the breakdown of Detente with South America over the Mauritanian Crisis. Only time will tell whether this will last until the next election, or whether a new crisis or domestic incident tarnishes his reputation.

Korean Parliament in uproar over the International community!

With the current events within the African Continent, and the rising tensions between the Coalition forces, and the Socialist powers of South America, and other regions. Many of those within Parliament are now speaking up on the issues that are coming to fruition. Some Liberals within the Parliamentary body, with a minority of Conservatives have begun to call for the "Condemnation of War!" Placed upon the governments fighting currently within the conflict of Mauritanian. However a majority consensus upon the issue has shown that the Korean Parliamentary body seems to think that any Intervention in the war may, "Stir-up more conflict." To quote, a Conservative that did not wish to be named.

With this issue in mind, we thought it may be a good question to ask Current President, Hwan Su-Hyun her opinion on the matter. Here's what she said.
Camera panning to the President.

"The international community has been a hot bed for some years now, with the emergence of many super powers, and regional powers that come into conflict in areas such as Africa with its lower economic status, and easily toppled Governments. With these in mind, I do not believe it is in our best interests, as Koreans to become involved within these conflicts, as we see with many foreign powers such as France, Orostan, and the NAF. Where they are pouring exorbitant amounts of money within the areas their military moves into. Which could be better suited towards the Infrastructure of areas rather then blowing up somewhere else. So no, I do not believe we should Condemn any nation, OR get involved. However, if any nation within this conflict does wish to hash things out diplomatically, I would be willing to host the Peace talks as long as this blood shed ends."

The Camera paned back to the reporter.

By. Self Defense Forces Correspondent, Saiki Makoto[\b]

Today morning, the Self Defense Forces Public Relations Committee has announced in a Press Conference that it will engage in “mech” research. According to the works of Ichizu Takamura, PR Officer of the BSDF, the National Diet has passed a budget which will be used on “mech” research and development, and this budget will be granted once its signed by the Mikado(King). In the press conference, the Minister of Defense and of Foreign Affairs were present to make their respective statements regarding Mech R&D
The Minister of Defense said the government “sees the research and development of mech technology as an investment in the future of the defense of the country.” He also said that at present “only the military applications of mech technology will be explored. Civilian applications are a priority.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has said that Bengal will welcome any sort of help and technology sharing with its allies. He said that “The research on mechs will be more faster and the results will be more satisfactory to everyone if there is joint cooperation in research and development. This will also increase cooperation in other fields and may reduce international conflicts, bringing peace and prosperity to everyone across the globe”.

In a handout after the conference, it was written that the primary firms known to build aircrafts and vehicles for the Self Defense Forces, namely Sasaki, Progoti and Komoya will engage in joint R&D immediately after the budget is approved from the Royal Palace. On social media, the Self Defense Forces has asked netizens to come up with designs that may inspire “ミライのヘイキ(Weapon of the Future)”.

FSR Pursues Self Reliance

The North American embargo came as a shock to the FSR. Few thought that a mostly symbolic leaving of the CSN would lead to such an immediate drastic response. Unlike with the cases with the Pacific Federation and Australia, the NAF sanctions threatened to have serious economic ramifications. While the NAF offered the choice of normalizing relations in return for the FSR returning to the CSN, it was too late, the damage was already done. Just two days after the NAF's ultimatum, the FSR announced that it would be pursuing a course of self-reliance in the future. The collapse of the Soviet Union showed how reliance on the West could be harmful, and the FSR wasn't going to repeat that mistake.

Within the next week or so, trade between the FSR and Europe would come to a halt as agreements expire. Two countries would be exempted by this, Galicia and Ukraine, both of them being socialist countries. The cessation of trading with Europe and North America would stop would be a painful process, but in the end, would help safeguard the Federation from being reliant on hostile powers. North American assets in the FSR would be frozen, and their fate would depend on whether or not the NAF backed down from their hostile approach. Meanwhile, the few European assets in the Federation would be offered to be bought out.

That being said, the Federation wouldn't stop trading with the outside world. Rather, it'd seek elsewhere, especially with other allied countries but also with other select states. In preparation for the transition, prices of goods will be raised across the board. It's unknown how well the Federation will handle the transition, some saying the transition, many saying that the move is for no avail. Regardless, as of now, the Federation is dismantling its ties with the imperialist west.

Major Military Exercises To Be Held

In wake of the rising tensions across the globe, the FSR, Puertollano, NSR, Galicia, and the FNI have held a series of joint military exercises. Involving all branches of the military they'd be the largest ever held by the five respective countries. The main exercise will be held off the coast of Nigeria, and a large South American fleet which some observers have compared to an armada has arrived to partake in the drill. The reserves of all countries involved are in the process of being mobilized to participate in the exercises, the idea being for reserve forces to benefit from the experience as well as regulars. Air and land exercises are also taking place in throughout the Federation, particularly in northern Orostan where more than 100,000 Federation and Puertollan troops are involved, preparing for scenarios such as countering an amphibious landing and waging guerilla warfare deep in the Amazon. Exercises are being done for both defensive and offensive situations with rotating team positions as attackers or defenders, and many scenarios have been taken into account including a possible surprise cyber attack. Relatedly, major reinforcements have arrived at friendly African countries. The Orostani military newspaper "War is Economics" stated that the militaries of Federation and Puertollanoan allies have shown themselves to be "Organized, and professional forces." The exercise is expected to take quite a while but will help train the Federation's military against a possible attack by imperialist forces.

Canadians riot over NAF response to Puertollano and FSR leaving the CSN!
November 11th, 2021
The NAF's harsh response to the FSR and Puertollano's exit of the CSN has been met with backlash from many Canadian citizens; riots, civil disobedience, and even exchanges between Federal forces and Canadian militias has begun.

The Citizens of Canada has began displaying their views of the harsh responses towards the NAF's response to the South American nations leaving the CSN. It is known for a long time that Canada is strongly anti-Globalist and fiercely nationalistic. "Globalists get out!" Is a common motto being passed around by the Canadian rioters, as they clash with police, and even Federal forces throughout much of Canada "If Puertollano and the FSR wish to leave the CSN, that is their decision. We should not pressure their governments to give into an undemocratic machine ran by oligarchs and bureaucrats of other nations. Such an entity that exists can easily be used to curb national sovereignty of other nations and it astounds me that the NAF is still even apart of it." Says Kaolin Olhouser, a Hyper Democratic Party Congressman. "If this isn't proof that the CSN has too much power, and enough power at that to bully other nations that dare leave then I don't know what is.

Riots have taken place in Ottawa, Quebec, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Anchorage, Victoria, and Thunder Bay. The riot police have done their job exceptionally well, however face fierce resistance by the Canadian rioters, being met with molotov cocktails, rushes of Canadian rioters attacking them with weapons ranging from cans, bricks, stones and batons to flamethrowers and nailbombs and grenades. The Canadian Riot Police have done a relatively decent job in utilizing tactical control and methods of suppressing crowds to keep them under control, however that doesn't mean there still isn't chaos in the streets. It's gotten so chaotic in some cases that officers resorted to using live rounds to deter rioters.

This is far from the only form of resistance the Canadian people have shown towards their government's response to the South American exit of the CSN. Militias have taken up arms against Federal forces, seeing their actions as tyranny against the national sovereignty of other nations. Mortars, firefights, and search and destroy operations have taken place against Federal and local government forces, however other Canadian Militias have butt heads with the fiercely "anti-globalist" militias, using validations ranging from this is just a 'continued conflict against South American Communists' to 'The NAF reserves the right to assert its national interests as well' and has been fighting alongside Federal Forces.

Already within the six hours this has been ongoing, there's been about 579 Officers killed, about 1,000 officers injured, and about 178 Federal soldiers and pro-federal militiamen killed in the time of this taking place, whereas the Rioters and militias on the opposing side has suffered around 900 rioters killed, 2,000+ injured, and around 2,000+ arrested, with another 148 Militiamen killed. Federal forces have made massive gains in taming the rioters, but for the first time in years, Canada by majority has taken a fierce stance against Federal decisions.

National Sovereign Wealth Fund launches new venture capitalist firm that will operate worldwide

Today the National Sovereign Wealth Fund (NSWF), under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, launched a new venture capitalist firm called Nostro Investments. The firm will headed by a board of professionals hired by the National Sovereign Wealth Fund and will not limit itself to investing certain industries or sectors and will instead be open to investment from all industries and services, from healthcare and insurance to arms manufacturing and nanotechnology. Representatives from Nostro Investments say that this will be achieved by having professionals from all sectors of the economy work for Nostro Investments, which will be building a large headquarters in Rome's new Chiavichetta Business City.

The National Sovereign Wealth Fund also says that as the NSWF has connections to both the leading Italian business tycoons and industrialists as well as foreign governments and foreign government agencies through the Italian government the firm will be "The greatest venture capitalist firm to ever exist, offering investment to start-ups and existing small businesses no matter their national origin (excl. certain countries) and no matter what kind of business they are proposing due to our professionals from all segments of the business world." For this reason the firm predicts that it will be the largest venture capital firm by assets under its management by 2025. Over the next year the firm aims to open offices in every major city in the world to make it easier for potential investments to approach the firm about a possible investment.

The National Sovereign Wealth Fund remains notoriously tight-lipped and is often described as "shady" about its revenue and expenditure citing 'national security reasons' so the cost of setting up Nostro Investments is completely unknown, its the same situation with Edifice Global Investments, another company run by the National Sovereign Wealth fund.

Crete Enters into Defencive Agreement with Turkey

"I have lived long enough both in years and in accomplishments." ~ Julius Ceaser

November 13, 2021 -- Almost three years has passed since the end of war with the Triumvirate and the abdication of the monarchy. Since then, the Turkish government has opted for a non-interventionist approach to the international community. While the world has conducted war after war, Turkey has remained at relative peace. Now, with the sudden downturn of international stability the world seems ready to be shaken up. Crete, a Greek island that become a nationstate following the formation of the Triumvirate, has been the target of Turkish diplomats since its inception. However, the Turkish banner has been raised alongside the Crete emblem at Souda Bay Naval Base, the previous primary naval base for the former United States in the Eastern Mediterranean. Turkish troops were spotted to be interacting with their Crete counterparts. The MoD has confirmed that there will be permanent contingent of Turkish troops deployed to the island. More importantly, the MoD also revealed anti-ship missile systems will be deployed on the island following the overall defencive strategy of the of the Defence Forces. Smaller and more numerous cruise missiles have already found their way to Crete. The deployment of the more controversial AS-2020 anti-ship ballistic missile system has been halted for now. Turkish officials have confirmed that Crete officials worry about retribution from the Triumvirate, who are still a a major trading partner.

How the Triumvirate will respond isn’t exactly a mystery. The Defence Forces’ policy of strategic deterrence with anti-ship missiles has already been met with strong respite. With the range of Turkey’s strategic deterrent reaching right up to the shores of the Triumvirate, the response will obviously be fiery. However, Turkey remains in her legal bounds so government pushes on despite their protest.

Rioting in Canada and the N.A.F's future
November 12th, 2021
Author: Miranda Jones

A recent series of unrest and instability had developed in Canada, resulting in the breakout of riots that have claimed the lives of over a thousand individuals and left thousands more injured. These riots had caught many by surprise, at least those outside of Canada. It's no surprise to Canadians however, that a general discontent with the status-quo was brewing. Canadians have long felt that Seattle had ignored their interests, even with the large amount of concessions made to Canada. Indeed, it wasn't concessions and more autonomy the Canadians wanted, all they wanted was to have their voice heard, to feel as though the Federation they co-founded actually considered what their interests. However, how far one is willing to go to achieve the goal of representation is another moral dilemma, as made evident with the Canadian support for the rioters. Polls conducted have estimated that around 47% of Canadians support the rioters, 49% support the Federal government, and the remaining 4% being neutral/undecided. Such a split a population is a catalyst for insurgency and civil war, something the N.A.F can not afford to happen in one of it's largest economies. Not only that, but many in the N.A.F, particularly in the Former-sphere (also known as the Old Yank Belt), have active memories of the instability of the 1990s and are not blind to the similarities between then and now, and thus are adamant in preventing another devastating civil conflict. Further South however, in the former Collective of Mesoamerican States, the sentiment is more firm. It is well known that the former-Collective contains among the most left-leaning members in the entire Federation, with the majority having slight to full internationalist views, and thus tend to have more support towards the C.S.N. Many within Central America and Yucatan have stated that the Federal government should not tolerate 'mob-behavior' and 'violent-overreactions', and should take control of the situation, whereas many within Mexico and the Caribbean Federation have stated a more cautious approach. The Federal Congress has met in an emergency session to discuss a course of action, however anti-globalists and, more abundantly, Confedralists, have begun to protest in all members, although varying in numbers. Confederalists have used the the unrest in Canada as a means to spread their own unorganized and decentralized agenda, advocating for a Confederation, something that the continent has had all too many times. Suffice it say, the Federal Government faces pressure from both a growing insurgency and a general populace that is split between avoiding civil conflict or enforcing Federal supremacy. Federal officials know all too well that their actions starting from now may either preserve the Federation or spearhead it into collapse.

Pacifica mobilizes Central Defense Force to 'speed up the gears of bureaucracy'
November 13th, 2021
Author: Hector Snowden

The Pacifican Central Government has mobilized the United Republics Defense Force in-order to pressure the Federal Government into compromise. While not entering the Federal District of Seattle, they have surrounded it, remaining in their borders. Pacifican officials have stated that "Seattle was given to the Federation out of good-faith, that it would respect the interests of all members to create Prosperity", further adding that "The United Republics has not forgotten the economic importance of Seattle...perhaps we made a mistake in judgement in lending it to the Federal Government, it is up to you to prove us wrong." Federal Forces have refused to respond, stating that "they are within their borders, and thus so as long as they remain within Pacifica, there is no need to escalate the situation by sending Federal Troops." Insiders within the many branches of the Federal Military have stated that many officers have unofficial sympathies towards the Pacifican actions, with one remarking "these bureaucrats spend so much time in Seattle, that they've become detached from the rest of the N.A.F, even the places they represent."

The Federal Government has spent an entire day debating a course of action. The Chamber of Delegates (lower-chamber) in general, supports negotiating with the insurgents in order to hear-them out, arguing that Canada could quickly unify against the federal government if it oversteps it's boundaries. Not only that, but many in the Delegation have openly stated sympathetic attitudes towards Canada. "Canada has had to deal with a lot" says Delegate Andrew Fedrickson of the Midwest Republic, "they are politically and socially different from most other members, they feel ignored. I am not really that surprised about this ordeal, if anything I am more surprised that the rioters had to fight against other Canadians." The majority of the Delegation is in support of negotiating and conceding to the proto-insurgency, however they have been facing stiff opposition from the Chamber of Representatives (upper-chamber). There, all members are equal, entitled to the same number of representatives no matter their population. Representatives from Central America and Yucatan want to crackdown on the unrest, whereas Mexico and the Caribbean Federation is hesitant to negotiate. The representatives of Pacifica, Southern Fed., and the Midwest. Republic have been attempting to compromise to no avail, hesitant to solve one crisis only to replace it with another down South. Representatives of the Second USA were attempting to calm the tension, but things quickly escalated when the Canadian Representatives walked out. From the perspective of many, the gears of bureaucracy began to breakdown, unable to handle the stress of the situation. Of course, in any stressful and anxious situation, sometimes something big is needed to ground oneself back to reality.

Perhaps, the Pacifican reaction was a tad bit too big? After all, using local military forces to force a decision is by no means democratic. To the unaware, these may seem like an overstretch of Pacifican power and one that would cause more chaos. On the surface, it seem as though Pacifica shot the federation in the foot and everyone would be out in the streets protesting such an undemocratic use of a local defense force. In any normal circumstance, perhaps the unaware's judgement would be correct, but context is important. Pacifica is the co-founder of the Federation and is in economic commonwealth with Canada. Both members have intertwined their economies, so whatever happens in Canada affects Pacifica and vice-versa. Pacifica is also extremely pro-Federation, having spearheaded it's formation. So, while this may seem to be a misuse of local forces, it's done in good-faith and with the preservation of the N.A.F in mind. Regardless of ethics, the reaction to this has been remarkably tame. For starters, it's unusual for Pacifica to act this aggressively, so their actions have caught most within the N.A.F off guard. So much so that it grounded most in the Chamber of Representatives back into reality, with many realizing the true severity of the situation. The populace of the former-Collective have also came out in protest of their representatives as well, albiet not with military force. Thousands of people have come out in cities from Mexico, Central America, Yucatan, etc in protest of the bureaucratic halt that has gripped the Federal Government. Slogans such as "We love the C.S.N and Canada" and "Don't be stupid and get us all killed" and "We didn't elect you to piss off the entire [Pacific-Canadian] Commonwealth." Hopefully the combination of pressure from both Pacifica and the members that the unyielding representatives represent will force the Federal Government to compromise.

UPDATE: The Federal Congress has voted to negotiate and meet with the proto-insurgent leaders. U.R forces withdraw from border, stating "good, you proved us wrong."

Federal Government meets with proto-insurgent leaders, negotiations succeed!
November 15th, 2021
Author: Washington Mcduke

When leaders of the self-proclaimed "National Sovereign Alliance of Citizens (NSAC)", an alliance of anti-globalist and confederalist militants, agreed to meet with Federal officials, most were expecting unrelenting stubbornness. To most of our surprise however, they were keen on negotiating. The rioters themselves have had time to reflect, and with most of the riots ending on the 13th. However, violence between armed militant groups began to increase, replacing riots with firefights. The amount of coffins began to sink into the minds of everyone all throughout the N.A.F. So, even the leaders of the unrest were eager to end the violence. NSAC leaders remarked, "it was never our intention to leave the N.A.F or go against it, so contrary to what many in the media may think, we aren't separatists." Further adding, "We were just shocked and surprised when the Feds just went out and broke of ties with other countries just because they left an organization that is wrong in so many ways, like not even the globalist policeman French would go that far." The popularly named "Seattle Concordance" lasted only three hours, and the following was agreed on the following:

- The Federal Government will work to reform the C.S.N so that it's mandate is strictly in the realms of international law, limiting it's ability to infringe on the sovereignty of nations without valid reason (Something insiders claim was already in the works)

- The Federal Government will lessen it's current policy on the South American "rogue-nations", and reopen diplomatic ties. In particular, the embargo and closed borders with Puertollano will be lifted, but due to geo-political concerns, Federal policies on the F.S.R will remain relatively the same.

- The Federal Government will give amnesty to everyone involved in the violence prior to the signing of this agreement, may they be counter-rioters or rioters, counter-militants or militants, etc. Any future acts of violence done by militants will not be protected, and they will face consequences.

- The Federal Government will no longer be allowed to appoint the ambassador of the C.S.N, instead the ambassador will be directly elected.

NSAC leaders have stated that the Federal Government has their trust for now, so as long as they follow the agreement. They also stated their condemnation to any future violence after this agreement, giving the Federal Government the okay to crackdown on any militant groups that continue to operate violently after today.
After nearly a week of instability, crisis has miraculously been averted. Hopefully we can all learn from this, and remind ourselves that the N.A.F is diverse, and that just because the majority on the Federal Congress support an action, that does not mean every member does. It matters little of the majority of Congress supports something, what matters is where those congressman are from. A good bill is one that has support and opposition that is homogeneous and all over the place, a bad bill is one that support and opposition that is member-specific, I.E Canadian Delegates and Representatives voted overwhelming against the recent actions against Puertollano and the F.S.R, but they were still outnumbered in Congress, thus the measure passed. From now one, members of the Federal Government should be more cautious about their actions, and attempt to compromise even if a bill has majority support, so that all members are satisfied, lest we have a repeat of this.

Korean Tech Company, Alphacom creating a Prototype Mech!

With the emergence of many Asian countries interests within the idea of Mechs, the Korean Tech Giant, "Alphacom" has announced the Prototype of what they're dubbing. "Project Shieldwall", this Mech is to be constructed with a Magnesium Alloy, consisting of Chrominum, Titanium, Tungsten, and other Rare earth metals to create a nice plating to be placed upon it. With 6 inch plating, it is going to be very resistant to Bullets striking its surface, very much heat resistant, and able to sustain pressure upon it. Also equipped with a 60in. by 52in. riot shield, to be mounted in its right hand. The shoulders having a retractable propulsion cannon, that only fires cannisters with a microchip from the corporation to allow said cannister to be up to standards. From what we understand, if cannister without the microchip are loaded it will set off a warning sign for the users. Before shutting down systems of the mech, disabling its functionality. Letting out a distress beacon to local law enforcement, and others with possible contact with the device.

The head being encased in a plating of the Magnesium alloy, surrounded by also a 2 1/2 inch thick bullet proof glass. The Mech is to also be lined with Multi-sensors, allowing it to pick up Live feed, Infrared, and many different forms of tracking. This feed is to also be relayed to a local law enforcement server, the user, as well as the corporation encase of any tampering with the device. If any tampering is found within the device, may it be the circuits or the device itself. It is to shutdown, not allowing it to be access other than when unlocked by the corporation once more. Now, this is only a prototype, which seems to also have a height of what we're saying, 9 feet in total.

Victory in Mauritania; capitol falls with zero French lives lost

First to fall were the socialists, but today it was the turn of the ICN. In less than a month, the French Confederation did what the entire world had failed to do in Nigeria, overseen the formation of a record number of new DEU projects, and to cap it all off, they had seen the ICN and socialist capitols fall to the coalition without a single French life being lost. Noir was a hero, his popularity the highest of any Confederation President since the unification of Vietnam. Now Mauritania would rebuild, and Noir could look to use his new political credit in order to approve the deployment of Confederation forces across Francophone Africa. First on the agenda was Niger; a steadfast ally of the Republic, although confronted by ICN attacks and suspected biological weapon attack. The DEU's Scientific Research Trust had begun work on a method of population control for the Medflies, which was deployed in limited numbers in order to avoid accidentally unleashing an accidental extinction. Furthermore, Confederation troops are deployed to all major dams and pipelines in Francophone Africa in order to prevent repeat ICN attacks. An intelligence campaign is also launched in an attempt to identify extremist plots before they can be carried out, and the Confederation has also offered all Francophone Africa states the ability to have their military and security forces trained by experienced combat veterans. Arms sales including anti-aircraft weapons and dated fourth generation jets are also made to these allies, although on a case by case basis. It is also understood that France has been in discussions with Canada surrounding investments into these regions in order to ensure continued economic performance, although targeted at the most vulnerable in these societies.

ZACKROTHIAN TREE FUNGUS FINALLY DEALT WITH

Zackrothian tree fungus has been devastating the Amazon since the war with the country resulted in the deaths of ten million civilians. Over ten thousand trees have been killed and the South Amazon nature preserve has lost a good number of the endangered species that once lived there. The cleanup effort has cost billions and put fungicide over huge areas of Orostan. Some communities in the Amazon have lost their jobs because of the fungus destroying trees that would otherwise be cut down and exported as wood. Polling in central Orostan reveals that the people there are even more anti-Zackaroth than the average Orostani due to the fungus. The Park Service announced today that the last of the fungus has been contained and removed, leading to much celebration in central Orostan. The Zackrothian flu, another bioweapon of the murderous enemy state, caused entire towns to be quarantined before a vaccine was developed. While the Zackrothian flu still kills an estimated one and a half thousand people every year in the FSR, the elimination of any Zackrothian bioweapon is certainly something to celebrate. The group “No More Biological War” protested in several major cities today about the government’s lack of transparency when it comes to what is done with samples of these weapons, which many believe are being used to develop bioweapons for the Federation. Usually, the Federation government is highly transparent on health matters - but not this time.

Interview with former High Leader Shepard Abdullah

Today, ZNN held a small interview with the former High Leader, Shepard Abdullah. Abdullah was High Leader during two wars with Orostan and made several controversial decisions. The first was the launching of biological weapons at Orostan, spreading a tree eating fungus and as well as various types of deadly flu. The second was the decision to unleash an ICBM barrage of thermobaric weapons at South America during the second war over Nigeria. We asked him he had any regrets over these actions, especially since it had taken so long for the Orostani's to clean up the fungus.

"No I don't. I stand by all the choices I made in both wars. Orostan was and still is a meance. They may be under the protection of this 'FSR' now but make no mistake its just a leash. And one day that leash will snap and they will come after us again. Do I feel bad for the people that have died? Sometimes but then I see the ralley's calling for the genocide of the Zackarothian and Arabic people. Then I see their leaders promote mass killings of my people. Then I don't feel so bad.

I see Orostan and its puppet states try to take over Africa and destabilize it. They finally succeeded in Nigeria but only because our High Leader was too much a coward to help France. They failed in Mauritania however because this time the world, save for us, stood up and said no. In the second war, had I been able too, I would have wiped out Orostan so no country would ever have to worry about facing an armed insurgency made of lies and false promises again. So no country would have to worry about the South American mad dog. Maybe they could have built something from the ashes, but now all they and their allies do is cause them"

Its expected Abdullah will make a third run for the High Leadership in 2024 as he has been very vocal about Zackaroth's passiveness over the past few years and alleged stagnation.

Malta becomes Italian protectorate over fears of influence from Turkey

After it was revealed that the Turkish armed forces had stationed forces in Crete and begun to build influence over the island nation through soft power the government of Malta immediately contacted Italian diplomatic staff in Valletta, the Maltese capital. They informed diplomats that the Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, wished to speak with President Giuseppe Conte immediately. Over the coming days the two countries negotiated and drew up details of Malta's protectorate status. At midnight on the 21st November the Republic of Malta officially became a protectorate of the Second Italian Republic, and by extension, a protectorate of the United Roman Triumvirate.

The news was announced immediately after midnight, with Maltese Prime Minister Jospeh Muscat stating "The influence of Turkey, a muslim nation, over Crete, a Christian island, has deeply concerned the government of Malta, as we are one of the closest independent, Christian island states to Crete, we may have been next in line for all we know. This agreement with the Second Italian Republic allows us to ensure that we are protected from Turkish influence while maintaining our position as an autonomous, island nation. Our new status also allows us to create greater ties with our Italian brothers and sisters. Our ethnic, religious, cultural and economic ties are formidable and the new wave of political and economic stability brought by our protectorate status allows us to grow our businesses and attracted greater investment in our great island nation."

President Giuseppe Conte gave similar remarks, but also outlined the military support and presence that Malta will receive from Italy, releasing a document to the media clearly stating the support that will be given to Malta:

Ground units:
- 8,000 troops permanently stationed in Malta (with associated equipment)
- 20x C1 Ariete MBT’s
- 150x various AFV's (armoured fighting vehicles)
- 20x artillery pieces
- 3x SAMP/T systems

Naval units:
- 4x Comandanti-class patrol vessels
- 2x Type-212 submarines
- 2x FREMM frigates
- 1x Horizon-class destroyer
- 1x Maestrale-Class anti-submarine warfare frigate

Air units:
- 10x F/A-19S multirole stealth fighters
- 30x Eurofighter Typhoons
- 20x Agusta A129 Mangusta's

Cybernetic Operations Command:
- COC support for Maltese critical infrastructure, services and administration

Investigation places blame on FSR for Mauritanian War

An investigation by the Seventh Republic's intelligence and military services has concluded that the FSR was responsible for the fall of the Mauritanian government, rebirth of the ICN, and also responsible for the shoot-down of a squadron of Confederation fighters in the south of the country.

Report Summary

The firing of hypersonic cruise missiles by an unknown country's submarine against Nouakchott was a deliberate act with the intent of destabilizing the Mauritanian nation and creating a power vacuum for the ICN and other extremist rebel forces to take power. The French Confederation had only hours before made an offer to the government enabling the creation of a united front against the MPLF, and reasserted their desire to leave the pre-war institutions and government intact. As this directly threatened the interests of the socialist bloc, and the FSR had announced they were one of only a select few states who had acquired hypersonic weaponry only days before the attack, we can conclude that they are likely responsible for the attack which would see the Mauritanian nation broken and ICN fighters take power.

We have also reviewed the series of events leading up to the downing of the Confederation fighter squadron over Southern Mauritania, and make the following conclusions;

I. That by conducting cargo drops over an active war zone on the ground, and with no respect for French air operations including radar jamming and electronic warfare, the FSR willfully placed their pilots into a dangerous position.
II. That the FSR's cargo shipments contained advanced weapons such as SAM launchers and armored vehicles, despite their supposed 'humanitarian' mission, making them a target for ICN fighters.
III. That the FSR's cargo aircraft was shot down by ICN fighters on the ground with a SAM, which the FSR's escort fighters mistook for an air-to-air missile in a case of gross incompetence.
IV. That the FSR planes quickly moved to shoot down the entire French squadron, which was relatively defenseless carrying only air-to-ground munitions, even as one aircraft attacked the offending SAM launcher.
V. That the FSR is responsible for the deaths of French airmen, and thus a case should be launched in an attempt to gain reparations for the families of the victims and for the loss of equipment.

President Noir has said that he is considering the report's conclusions, and weighing up possible retaliatory measures.

Military Agreement signed in Ukraine

A delegation from the Bolivarian Republic of Puertollano has arrived in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev for a round of important meetings. In a prelude to the meeting, it has been confirmed a major military agreement has been reached between the two nations to increase military and diplomatic co-operation. High General Hugo Chavez announced the construction of a Puertollanoan military base to be stationed in Northern Moldova, a region of the Ukrainian nation. The base is expected to hold 3,000 full-time soldiers from the Bolivarian Republic, a run-way, garages for Tiuna multi-purpose vehicles and anti-aircraft facilities. As a second measure in the military agreement, a mutual defense pact was signed between the counter-parts, to stake off possibly intervention into either countries, as world tensions continue to rise. Hugo Chavez commented that "the sovereignty of the Ukrainian nation is paramount to the stability of Europe, and any attack against the sovereignty of Ukraine will be an attack against all peace-loving peoples' of the world."
