Shortly after the passing of the National Reconstruction Bill of the DEU, the States of Poland have acquired some amount of the promised aid of selected member states of the DEU, neighbors, and international allies. The aid was enough to reconstruct, aid, and fund the 3 major cities of Poland, Prague, Warsaw, and Bratislava for a few weeks, or months.


The Kraszanka administration has now opened and established an additional 8,000 food kitchens for the homeless nationwide, which is planned to be always open everyday of the week. The administration also have built 500 thousand additional houses as of December 15. The homes will be given to families who have lost their property to the economic crisis or civil war.


Meanwhile, the economy have experienced a colossal increase, as foreign investors from around the world have flocked to the States to fund the brobdingnagian mining and manufacturing industry of the nation. Experts utter that the economy will be on par to the economy of the nation back in 2010 in no time, if that is, of course, no major or devastating incidents occur involving Poland & its states.

The Hasty End Of Krazanka's Martial Law

A company from the 2nd Mechanized Division patrols the streets of Łódź after the conclusion of the curfew.

After being asked by foreign powers to relapse the Martial Law of Poland in exchange for more aid, President Kraszanka have issued a deadline for the martial law on December 24, 10:30 PM.


This will more or less increase the crime and corruption of the nation once more, but Kraszanka argued that the people who conduct illegal activities are just surviving, and if the aid is put to good use, the people will slowly abide by the law once more as their life goes back to being unchallenging and facile, like the citizens of other powerful nations.

Foreign Affairs: Puertollano

The representative of the Ottoman Porte, Cevdet Davutoglu, condemned the regime of Puertollano calling it a "rogue state" while Castillo "a backstabber." After Puertollano's criticism of the Ottoman invitation to the Saudi prince, Cevdet Davutoglu said that the Porte demands that the South American nation returns all the 1000 Ottoman migrants back to the Ottoman empire. He stated that the regime is brainwashing the Ottoman migrants and tries to take advantage of them. If Puertollano does not comply, Istanbul threatened to cut diplomatic relations with it and introduce a packet of sanctions.

Foreign Policy: Zackaroth

The Ottoman Empire banned the Zackarothian Radio Host Faaid el-Zaher from entering the country after his recent remarks regarding the Empire. He has also been put on the "black list" by the authorities; his radio show and website have been banned in the Empire as well. The Zackarothian ambassador in Istanabul has been summoned to the Dolmabahce Palace over the radio host's comments.

Rural Northern Anatolia

Black cargo vehicles have appeared on the horizon. A bearded man wearing Arab ghutra headgear was standing beside his tent greeting them. General Mehmet Alparslan got out of one of the vehicles and gestured other men in Ottoman military uniform to start unloading the cargo.

"I am not an ATM machine and cannot keep giving you money and arms. I want something in return for my labor. Where is the army of unstoppable men you've promised me earlier?" asked the Ottoman general.

"Patience. We are already recruiting people from the local population. But do not forget what you've promised me." said al Basri already having relocated to Anatolia from Syria.

Galicia

The Puertollano Electoral Commission was ready for the day of the vote, volunteers prepared at booths across the region. To be officially valid on the roll count, the individual must have permanent residence in Galicia. There were many booths also in mainland Puertollano, for the odd Galician taking a quick holiday before the free and open visa system to be dropped; if the result returns in favour for independence. Booths were also seen open in Spain, France and the FSR. All three sides to the debate were given equal air-time on the Puertollano Broadcasting Corporation. The pro-Spanish campaign that supports unification with the rest of the Iberian Peninsula spoke of the benefits of having Madrid administering Galicia, such as re-instating Iberian culture and life. They were quick to cut allegiance to the Spanish Prime Minister, de Cortez, in fear of losing votes over his past speeches. The pro-Puertollano camp too got their air-time on regional television, and the campaign was spear-headed by notable members of the incumbent Socialist Government in Galicia, mostly the Minister for Transportation and a quite opinionated back-bencher. In the advertisement, the pro-Puertollano campaign listed the numerous benefits granted under the Castillo administration on the mainland, and warned of possible economic collapse if independence was to be achieved. This notion was swiftly swept aside, however the point that the Spanish (with the help of the Imperial League) quickened the eventuality of the referendum through illegal and war-mongering means resonated with many voters, convincing them it was the peaceful option to vote to remain. But, of course, the most important campaign, the campaign of independence. On national television, the Premiere appeared with the Opposition Leader urging for Galician's to vote for independence, for self-determination. Both the major parties supported this position, and both routinely took to the streets and expressed their opinions. With majority support from the Movement for Socialism Party and the Conservative Coalition, it was a skewed vote to begin with, and pundits without a doubt pointed to an independent vote victory by the end. On voting day, the most congested booth in Santiago de Compestela was the battle point of the ideologies, Premiere Santos wearing a t-shirt that read: "Independence for Galicia!", handed out pamphlets that listed the reasons everyone should vote independent, including statistics that debunked the 'economic collapse' argument. After hours worth of campaigning, and an entire day of standing and speaking with the voters, the volunteers returned to understand the final vote. The Electoral Vote began vaunting all votes, at all booths. Soon afterwards, the mail votes would arrive, and so would the foreign booth votes. The vote returned:

With the vote from the populace of Galicia, definitively stating independence from Puertollano and Spain, the Premiere was no longer the Premiere of another province within Puertollano, but an independent nation state in Europe. Premiere Jose Santos, with a powerful majority in the ex-regional Parliament (now national Parliament) paved the way for a new Galicia, with a twist. The Parliament passed the initial stages of self-establishment, and with help from many of the revolutionaries in the party, the region took a radical change. Its official title was altered to the Socialist Federal Republic of Galicia, and the regional flag was replaced with something a little more suitable to a 'Socialist Federal Republic'. A red star replaced the crown and decal, and for good reason, said the Minister for Culture. The Minister explained that Galicia did not and has no ties to Royalty or the Spanish Crown, therefore there is no legitimate reason to idolize a foreign monarch. A new constitution was a new priority of the government. To ensure independence in the future, as a volatile nation state in the rough and bloody sphere of Europe, a small paramilitary force would not work. The National Bolivarian Armed Forces of Puertollano were designated as the official armed forces to protect Galicia, in a situation similar to that of Andorra. Puertollano, being enshrined in the constitution as the sole military defender of Galicia has allowed Puertollano to maintain all military bases and military related assets in Galicia. As well as other things, democratic rights, freedom of speech etc. have also been enshrined into the constitution. Great reforms are yet to be enacted by the government of Galicia, socialistic reform to the economy. Galicia, now a socialist republic bolsters the leftist appearance in Europe, alongside the USSR, Bulgaria and Poland.

Major Controversy as €1.975 Billion is Spent on a Maserati Quattroporte and Pershing 62 for each Italian MP and Senator

Today major controversy emerged as it was revealed in a freedom of information request that since the 2018 budget was announced €1.975 Billion of the government budget for the 2018 fiscal year has been spent on 945 Maserati Quattroporte's, at a cost of €90,000 each, and even more shockingly 945 Pershing 62's, at an astonishing cost of €2 million each. This totals the huge €1.975 Billion spend that was conducted by the Department of Parliamentary Spending which oversees the purchasing of 'company cars' and books business flights for all 945 MP's and Senators in the Italian parliament, and its spending comes under the 'government' section of the national budget.

The department is now under the scrutiny of the Ministry of Justices' 'Department of Anti-Corruption' and the Guardia di Finanza. The Department of Parliamentary Spending(DoPS) claims that the €90,000 Maserati's are "An essential asset for all MP's and Senators to ensure that they have the ability to travel between Parliament and their constituencies, a major part of their job." When asked about the €2 million Pershing 62 yachts, the DoPS spoke-person failed to give a direct response.

The Guardia di Finanza has begun an investigation into Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the owner of Maserati, as well as Ferretti Group, the owner of Pershing Yachts, to investigate whether possible illegal corruption could be at hand in this scandal with the possibility of large donations from these companies to senior officials within the DoPS.

After several inflammatory remarks about them from a Zackarothian web radio show host, the Ottoman Empire has banned said program and the host from coming into the Ottoman Empire. While there was no comment on that, the Zackarothian Ambassador and staff within the Ottoman Empire have been recalled home. The reasoning given by High Leader's government was that "We understand Mr. el-Zaher may have said some inflammatory remarks but under the Zackarothian constitution, nothing of what he said is illegal. The fact the Ottoman Empire called the Ambassador to discuss what a private Zackarothian citizen said is amazing and embarrassing. We no longer believe the Ottoman government to be a reasonable enity at this time over this and the Saudi prince matter so for the time being we are recalling our Ambassador from the country"

In related news, the High Leader approved a bill that would give any of the 1,000 Ottoman Migrants a chance to apply for dual citizenship in Zackaroth and Puertollano. This is the second time in Zackarothian history dual citizenship has been offered. The High Leader's reasoning said his reasoning was "Its obvious these migrants did not agree with their governments choices and will most likely end up being imprisoned or worse if they return to the Ottoman Empire. The Egyptian parliament has pushed a motion to engage in further talks with Zackaroth, which is in the region. The vote passed 306-103, with the rest abstaining.

British Soldiers Travel to Falklands
Another 550 soldiers have been dispatched to the territory of the Falklands, increasing the military population to about 2,000. It has been putting strain on citizens, prompting the construction of new infrastructure networks on the East Falkland Island. The Austro-Danubian Empire

The Metropolitan Austrian Military Protection Organization

To put it blatantly, Metropolitan Austria (nickname given to the mainland Austria [includes all of Austria that isn't Vienna or Salzburg], as the ADE is seen as the one true Austrian state) at its current state is a land of complete and utter controversy. It is a land divided by two nations that are on seemingly friendly levels, but with every friendship comes a point where lines are drawn in the sand. The Great Austrian Deal earlier this year was and will continue to be seen as a great victory for the Austrian peoples, and a great victory for the Empire as a whole in establishing a basis to assert dominance over Metropolitan Austria.

The German Union's control over Metropolitan Austria is slowly fading, and as a dying dog clings to life, the German Union isn't expected to give up its control over the land without any sort of resistance. This much is obvious, as the when the Great Austrian Deal was in its drafting stages, the German Union put down any sort of reasonable long term solution to the problem in favor of a solution that would (in their eyes) give them as much sovereignty over the land for as long as they could possibly control it. What happened in its stead, however, was one of the greatest diplomatic blunders in human history. The Germans handed over 20% of Metropolitan's workforce, GDP, and peoples to the Austro-Danubian Empire, and even handed over the historical and cultural center of Austria to the Empire to be reinstated as the Austro-Danubian Empire's capital. This simple movement has arguably proved to be the downfall of the GU's control of Metropolitan Austria. In a state resembling something more similar to limbo than any sort of actual nationhood, the identity of the Metropolitan Austrian peoples is drifting closer and closer to that of the one true Austrian state: the Austro-Danubian Empire.

In the times to come, it has become apparent that the people of Metropolitan Austria need proper representation in the affairs of protecting their self-determination and interests. At the current status, the people of Vienna (1.8 million Austrians) are residents of the Austro-Danubian Empire, and the people of Salzburg (150,000 Austrians) are residents of the German Union. The people of Metropolitan Austria (6.797 million Austrians), as earlier discussed however, exists at a state of limbo and technically (but also technically don't) exist as a part of any state. Although this isn't expected to last for long at all due to obvious reasons, the Emperor Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine (as the constitutional Emperor and executive branch of Metropolitan Austria), has okayed the formation of a chance to give Metropolitan Austrians some actual self-determination in their resolve to be united with their Austrian brethren of the Empire.

It is with this in mind that the "Metropolitan Austrian Military Protection Organization" (MAMPO, or Die Österreichische Militärschutzorganisation des Festlandes in the Austrian tongue) was established as a legally private army (but in nature the projected de-jure army of Metropolitan Austria) based in Metropolitan Austria. What MAMPO truly offers to the Metropolitan Austrians is (as mentioned earlier) the opportunity to finally represent themselves with their Austro-Danubian brothers and sisters. MAMPO was officially established by Jonathon Mueller, the head of the ADE's "Vienna Party" (upon generous donations from the Imperial government), and has been placed under control of the popular Austro-Danubian general, Robert Bollinger. Several Metropolitan Austrian NCO's and petty generals are being called up to make the bulk of MAMPO's leadership. MAMPO will be receiving its arms from the Austro-Danubian government (mainly outdated, but reasonable equipment). MAMPO will also be trained by some of the Austro-Danubian Volkswehr's finest. MAMPO is accepting arms deals from nations across the world, however. OOC: You all can sell them your guns!

MAMPO has taken its main office in Graz, and they will use the already established military training ranges in Metropolitan Austria to conduct their training exercises.

Every Austro-Danubian soldier who comes from Metropolitan Austria will be given the option to take up arms in MAMPO, and most are expected to accept the offer. All residents of Metropolitan Austria from here on out are going to be offered the chance to join MAMPO once they are eighteen years of age as well. The Austro-Danubian government insists that the German Union allow its Metropolitan Austrian soldiers (most enlisted before the option to even join any other military) the decision to join MAMPO. All soldiers in MAMPO will be given higher wages than both soldiers from GUAF or Volskwehr make.

Austro-Danubian Diplomatic Affairs

A range of other events has recently taken place within the Empire in regards to its diplomatic stances in the world. First, a week ago representatives of both the Austro-Danubian Empire and Puertollano met in Galicia to discuss recent events. Together they declared that hostilities between the two powers have formally ceased for the time being, and although the two powers may never be friends, they can at least strive forward together for the progression of the world and global community as a whole. The ADE has also congratulated the Puertollanoan government for peacefully holding an independence vote in Galicia.

Second, the mission against Ladvania has been considered to be a success with Joseph Lenin's resignation. The actions taken place against Ladvania by New Metropolitan France, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and the Austro-Danubian Empire have proven to be successful entirely. Austro-Danubians around the country cheer as a peaceful solution was found to the crisis. The Austro-Danubian Kriegsmarine has officially stood down, and all of its deployed fleets have sailed back to their respective ports in the Adriatic and Black Seas.

Finally, the Austro-Danubian Empire has recently welcomed representatives from the newly established Communist Bulgarian State in Vienna. The ADE has released an official statement that as a Danubian peoples, the Bulgarians will continue to be seen as the Empire's brethren. Official discussions are planned out for the coming days, and as of now we can be hopeful that the Empire will receive a new Balkan friend.

Oil Spill off Krasendof

Perhaps one of the largest oil spills in history has occurred off the coast of the Austrian-Danubian Royal Colony of Krasendof. The spill occurred off Hirenscheid and cleanup efforts are expected to cost upwards of 100 billion Austria-Danubian krones.

An investigation is going to take place as to why such a spill ever happened in the first place, and all oil rigs off the coast of Krasendof are going to be placed under inspection of the Imperial government.

The Emperor Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine has pledged to assist his African Colonial peoples in all ways possible, and vows that the people of Krasendof will not suffer as a result of the spill, as the Imperial government will do everything it its power to help them.

The Emperor has officially requested to the global community that an international cleanup effort is met off the coast of Krasendof, as the oil spill proves to be a strain on the environment and the livelihood of the many African countries around Krasendof. The ADE expects Krasendof to bring this affair to the CSN within the following days, and if the Imperial Colonial government there doesn’t, the Empire will take the issue to the CSN itself.

As for now we can only wait and pray for the best in Krasendof.

Several prominent former Canadian Officers move to Austria to help build the Austrian Military Protection Organization!

Today, several Canadian Paramilitaries got together, and after making an agreement with MAMPO, they sent some of their finest officers to help them organize, train, and build their tactical, operational and strategic knowledge. The Canadian paramilitaries at hand are some of the more prominent, well-known and better equipped and managed ones, and are usually full of experienced soldiers and officers. Some of the most notable officers being sent consists of General Colton Taylor, General Quinn Lee, Commander Roy Davis, Commander Robin Cote, Commander Jacob Chan, and Captain Henry Gagne. For anyone who doesn't know who they are, here's a basic description of each one's careers:

General Colton Taylor, fomer HDUC Field Marshal during the Canadian-American War, known for encircling an defeating the American Army in the battle of Detroit in 1998, effectively disallowing the American Army from conducting any further effective offensives, in spite of being outnumbered 4:1 in the battle.


General Quinn Lee, former HDUC Field Marshal during the Canadian invasion of Iberia in 2006, was the man who came up with a military operation which involved securing ports in Lisbon and other southwestern Iberian ports that allowed his troops to land safely and conduct their campaign in overthrowing the Neo-Francoist regime.


Commander Roy Davis, former Canadian Combined-Arms Officer that ordered an air, naval and land operation during the American-Soviet War on the Canadian Front; he destroyed the Soviet Navy in the Bering Sea in late 1984, conducted a mass bombing campaign against Soviet-controlled airbases, and successfully conducted marine operations throughout the West Coast in Alaska and British Columbia, effectively denying the Soviets of any further material support from the Soviet Union, leaving them to eventually crack about 7 months later.


Commander Robin Cote, former NAF Officer that later joined a Canadian paramilitary, reknown for keeping morales of the HDUHA forces in Ladvania high during the Great European War.


Commander Jacob Chan, former Canadian Officer that conducted several successful operations against Algerian and Libyan terrorists. Is an expert at Operational and Tactical levels of combat.


Captain Henry Gagne, former Canadian Officer that that lead the Canadian forces fighting alongside Israel during their invasion of Syria in 2016 to overthrow the radical government, known to be very quick to adapt to new styles of warfare.

After The inauguration of President Robert Maxey III one of the President's first actions was to pick up the phone and begin talks with Puertollano. The two nation's leaders are constantly communicating about issues on the region and solutions issues.

Puertollano and the SNL agreed on a military base In Rivne, which be the headquarters for Joint operations and trainings between the SNL and Puertollano.

The specifics of the terms are classified between the two nations. But what is assured is the increase of relations between Puertollano and Ladvania.
The construction has begun and the Puertollano embassy is in constant communication with the SNL.

In other news the President ordered the SNLs DEU delegate to declare The SNLs withdrawal from the EIM. President Robert Maxey III said after the delegate announced the withdrawal

High General of Puertollano, Hugo Chavez has landed in Ladvania today to commence the construction of new base of co-operation. He toured the site of the upcoming construction, shook hands with many important officials and announced a crucial part to the underlying base. Large vats of petroleum are to be placed deep in the ground, equalling to 50,000 gallons of ready-to-use petroleum. All of it has been donated by Puertollano to ensure the stability in Ladvania, in case any future scenario occurs. High General Chavez also commended President Maxey the 3rd on his election and called him a "wise and honourable man".

Castillo calls for expulsion of Ottoman Empire from DEU

President Nicolo Castillo, after a heavy briefing with the High General and top officials in his cabinet, as well as Rafa Ozman (the Ottoman Worker's Party Leader), has come out guns blazing at the Ottoman Empire. It was not long ago when the Ottoman Porte called Puertollano a 'rogue state' and a 'backstabber'. This is what Castillo said to the press conference awaiting outside:

The irresponsible and immature remarks from the Ottoman Empire are one of the many reasons we cease to co-operate with them. After their government fell for the European money-baiting, their foreign ministry has been forced to change their tune, a tune that destroys our old and prosperous relationship. I've been called a rogue state leader numerous, uncountable times, however this does not alter the truth. The Ottoman Empire betrayed Puertollano, the Ottoman Empire are the real 'backstabbers'. What the Ottoman propagandist said next is more important. The Empire obviously believes it is their duty to micro-manage all ex-Ottoman citizens and that all must bow to their supreme authority. Well, I'm sorry, that's not how we work in Puertollano. They are no longer your little play-things, they are sovereign people, currently residing in a sovereign nation. The refugees won't be forced to return to the Ottoman Empire, unless by choice. Your authoritarian methods will not prevail. Which brings me to the recent censorship within the Ottoman Empire. The government has censored that truth-speaking radio host for not having a government-approved opinion. That deserves the immediate expulsion of the Ottoman Empire from the DEU. The Hirenshcied oil spill that happened a couple days ago is affecting one of our most important marine animals in a way no one could have expected. The dolphin population in Krasendof is being decimated, while losses were expected no one predicted dolphins to possibly die off in the area. If this happens it will put an imbalance in the ecosystem of the area for decades to come. Rescue workers, Researchers, and good people alike, have all been coming together trying to save the dolphins. Many people can be seen walking the beaches of Krasendof looking for dolphins that have been bogged down by the constant oil. The exact reason for dolphins reacting relatively worse to this spill is still unknown, but marine researchers are hard at work trying to figure it out and potentially save the dolphins. On the bright side however, many mass skimming operations have begun, as we, the people of Krasendof come together as a nation to begin containing this catastrophe. Oil Boom Erected Around Tigres Island Territorial Waters to Protect Marine Reserve and Bird Sanctuary- Italian NGO Cleaning Dolphins and Releasing Them Into Tigres Island Waters

Today the Ministry of Defence, who oversee the management of Tigres Island, announced that in cooperation with the Environment Ministry an oil boom has been erected around the edges of the territorial waters of Tigres Island in an effort to protect the biodiverse and naturally rich waters around Tigres Island from being polluted by an oil spill from an oil rig owned by ADGAO approximately 300 miles up the coast from Tigres Island. The marine reserve and bird sanctuary, which consists of 98% of the territorial waters of Tigres Island are a hive of marine life and it is of paramount importance that they are protected.

Eni, Italy's largest gas and oil company has funded Italian NGO, Conservatoria delle Coste, to travel to the site of the oil spill and help to clean marine life and birds and release them into the clean waters of the Tigres Island marine reserve and bird sanctuary, including larger animals such as Dolphins and Turtles suffocating in the oil-polluted waters.

The Tigres Island Military Base, which is still under construction, has allowed NGO's to travel to the highly restricted Italian island to release cleaned animals to give them a safe haven until the oil slick is cleaned and the oil booms are removed.

Jutland Pipeline

The Nordic Federation, in cooperation with the Sixth Republic and the USSR, has commissioned the Jutland pipeline to be a direct connection from the Norwegian Oil Fields in the North Sea to DEU consumers. The hope of this pipeline, which is on track to be finished in under a year due to existing infrastructure, is to finally make the DEU self-sufficient in oil and decrease their reliance on foreign oil imports. In combination with the USSR's efforts in the sector, this pipeline will be a major step towards that goal.

Greenlandic Oil


The Government of the Nordic Federation has also given the go-ahead to increased Arctic exploration and drilling, supported by the technological leaps forward made by the European Technological Consortium recently. The government officially designated the town of Ittoqqortoormiit in the Northeast of Greenland to be the first stop for tankers heading back from the oil derricks, and it will also serve as a base for the construction of new derricks. Consequently, the small town's port and airstrip have both been expanded to have a much-increased capacity for the anticipated traffic. The oil, once it leaves the small port of Ittoqqortoormiit, will proceed south along the East coast of Greenland to the much larger town of Nanortalik, where it will be prepped for long distance exports, either back to the mainland Nordic Federation, to the NAF, or to the DEU. As of now, the government has put a moratorium on the export of Greenlandic oil to any parties except the Nords and the French. As a result, most of the oil tankers are departing Nanortalik for Western French ports like Brest, La Rochelle, and Bordeaux. This reflects the increasing cooperation between the Nords and the French in the realm of moving the DEU towards oil freedom.

Railroad Complete
The long-anticipated bridging project between the two major Nordic cities of Stockholm and Helsinki is nearing completion, but on either side, there now lies a fully functional railroad to connect to. This railroad is the Nordic portion of the Intercontinental Railroad, which currently stretches from Hamburg, in the Germanic Union, through Copenhagen and Gothenburg, to Stockholm. On the other side of the Gulf of Bothnia, the rail stretches from Vybourg in the USSR to Turku in Finland. Once the bridge is complete, a direct train journey from Copenhagen to Moscow will be possible.

Statoil Rallies Nordic Economy

Due to the intense investment and initiatives by the government to increase both the harvesting of oil and the exploration for oil, Statoil's stock has shot up massively. Their gross revenue has increased from under $84 billion just two years ago, to almost $158 billion this year, with projections for next years revenue reaching as high as $300 billion. This has lead their stock to increase in value on the Nordic Stock Exchange by nearly 40%, a 27% increase was seen in New York. This increase in revenue, and possible future revenue has put Statoil ahead of Russian LUK Oil as the 10th largest oil company in the world. This dramatic increase has also been reflected in the GDP of the Nordic Federation, and there have been talks of dramatically increasing social and military spending while maintaining a large budget surplus.

Social Party candidate,Dzheyn Vostok wins the election!

After snap elections had been called earlier in the week brought on by stagnation within the National Soviet, the election has concluded today with a clear victor, Dzheyn Vostok of the social party. Winning with 43% of the popular vote in comparison to 32% from the Bolshevik candidate and 25% from the New Party. Upon election, Dzheyn was seen giving congratulating her competitors for their participation within the election as well as issuing her address to the national Soviet. In her address she list three goals she wishes to begin upon the next following months:

1. Easing political issues within Eastern Europe to foster communication, business, and regional independence from their western counterparts. As quoted," When I speak of Eastern Europe I speak more than of the Kievan Rus or Slavic Kingdoms. I speak of our shared history, our shared beliefs. I speak of a Eastern Europe that stretches from the Aegean Sea to the Baltic comprising the lands of the Balkans to the European plains and fierce tundra. We share a history birthed from the ancients of Crete and the nomads of the Steppes. We have such a rich and vibrant history, and yet we are still dependent on the west. We have built cultures proud in their self-efficiency and independence and yet we remain as a whole more underdeveloped and needing of of the west. A truly free Europe is an equal Europe, and we will be equal if we not the politicians in France, Britain, or Germany take control of our own finances, resources, and development. We must be the ones to put aside our own differences for the better future of us."

2. Opening new trade with Asian nations in Central Asia and the east in order to diversify Soviet markets abroad. She also wishes to formally open diplomatic contact in Africa and the Americas.

Talks Begin to Build New Undersea Pipeline
After recent discussions within the National Soviets, diplomats have reached out to Stockholm and Berlin to begin the construction of a new undersea pipeline to bring in oil from the Soviet Union more directly into the western areas of Europe. A plan that is both controversial to the environmentalist within the National Soviet and conversely those who feel Vostok is going against her established policy of focusing more towards Eastern Europe. When asked Vostok was quoted as saying:
"To address the first issue, before any plan was set forth the environmental impact was already gauged, especially in light of the recent oil spill. To follow into the second point, while yes, I have made it clear of my intentions to bolster Eastern European communication and relations this shouldn't come at the expense of relations of the west. Most income lies within the west and only through trade of essential goods can we bring this income east. Plans Revealed by Ministry of Infrastructure to Expand InterItalia, Europe's Fastest Train Network, South to Sicily and East to Istria and Slovenia as well as Rome-Bari Express Route

Today the Ministry of Infrastructure announced that with part of the 2018 budget for the Ministry the InterItalia high-speed train network, the fastest train network in Europe, is to be expanded eastward in the north with a high-speed connection from Venice, which is already part of the network, to the city of Udine and then on to Ljubljana, the capital of the region of Slovenia. As well as this the rail will fork off between Udine and Ljubljana to connect the network to Trieste and then on to Pula, the capital of the region of Istria.

Moving to the centre of the country, an express high-speed rail route will be built between Rome and Bari, connecting the centre of the nation West to East. Further south a high-speed rail will connect Salerno, currently the southernmost point of the InterItalia network, to Palermo and Catania in Sicily, stopping in Cosenza, Lamezia Terme and Messina in between.

The Messina-Straight bridge is to have a high-speed railway connected to it through the centre of the two lanes on the bridge to allow the InterItalia network to connect to its three stops in Sicily. These new expansions to the network will see the possibility of people to travel from Grenoble in France all the way to Sicily on one train network.

Now that the government has invested in the InterItalia network, the private company NTV which had built and owned the existing network will have joint control with the Ministry of Infrastructure, meaning Trenitalia will be able to use the network rather than just NTV's .Italo trains. In turn, Trenitalia's FRECCIAROSSA 1000 trains, the fastest in Europe, will now use, and most likely dominate, the InterItalia network.

The InterItalia network is now home to Europes fastest and second fastest trains, .Italo and FRECCIAROSSA 1000.

Espalsio Congadulates Galicia

The Prime Minister of Espalsio Esteban de Cortez congradulated the people of Galicia on their independence from what he called "Castillo's regime." He assured that Espalsio will respect the sovereignty of galicia and will not infringe on its rights. In fact, Madrid offered 10,000 troops who are ready to defend Galicia. Esteban de Cortez also thanked the Spanish supporters in the Galicia independence vote and called them "heroes of Spain." He said that Spain is the first country to officially recognize the Galcian state and will always consider the fellow Galicians as brothers offering various trade deals and agreements.

As the tensions with the FSR have lessened, Espalsio thanked the Imperial League for their support and kindly asked the Imperial troops to leave the territory in order to avoid possible confrontations.

Spike in Native Religion revealed by government data

The Committee of Data Collection, a branch of the Department of Internal Affairs, has revealed new and interesting information around religion in Puertollano. An unusual trend has been observed in the data that reveals Nativist/Indigenous Religions and belief systems are on the rise across the nation. Former statistics from 2012 said that only 14% of the population had faith in native religions, comparing that to this data that insinuates 23% of the population now have faith in more traditional and native religions. That's a 9% spike. Some religious and political figures have said this is due to the cultural influence of President Castillo. President Castillo was the first indigenous President elected, and also the first President elected that had nativist beliefs, which revolve around the old-age rituals of the region. In many speeches, Castillo has praised the personal health and mental health benefits of many of the indigenous beliefs. He personally labels himself as a 'Nativist Agnostic', but encourages those who subscribe to the same label to officially regard themselves as an indigenous believer, to "protect our people's history". The data further revealed that Atheism/Agnosticism has seen a boost to 34%, from 32% in 2012. Catholicism, however took a large hit. 'Other' (which refers to Islam, Judaism, Hinduism etc.) has seen stagnant levels.

The Primaries Begin. Two new political parties emerge on the Zackarothian politics scene.

Today, the official start to the Zackarothian primaries begin. Though Zackaroth has had two elections to elect a High Leader this year, the High Leader will not have a chance to rest as a change in the High Leadership triggers an extra election the two year cycle. However, this year may prove different as two different political parties have arisen in the past months. Each have different goals and agendas but both have passed the court mandated signatures and legal fees to become official parties on the ballets. Though the primaries are just beginning, the now three political parties mostly have who they choose next month already in play.

The New Guard of Zackaroth
The New Guard of Zackaroth or NGZ is the first of the new political parties in Zackaroth. Many of the members of the NGZ are made up of former Zackarothian Ba'athist Party members who have become disillusioned with High Leader Akram's decisions in the past few months. This includes former High Leader, Shepard Abdullah. They believe his decision to focus away from Europe and become more neutral is regressing Zackaroth's progress in the world. Furthermore they view the semi-alliance with Puertollano as a spit in the face of those who died during the war late in the year.

They also contend that a hard-lined move for green energy is a mistaken endeavor as most of the world still relies on oil to fund its military and that Zackaroth should be funding more moves to find new wells, especially in the Red and Arabian Seas. In terms of Foreign policy, Abdullah is again more for favoring Europe and playing a large role in the Africa, still seeing Zackaroth as the true peacekeeper to the eastern half of the continent. However, they are also open to a more in depth alliance with the Imperial League. However, when questioned on the Ottomans, Abdullah said the country was a turn coat waiting to happen and the current High Leader is making a mistake in not putting pressure on the country by moving forces to the border.

Currently Abdullah is the only front runner for the party and it is seeing some strong support.

The Hyper Democrats of Zackaroth

The Hyper Democrats of Zackaroth or HDZ, are the second newest party to form. Though much smaller then the other parties, it has been getting decent support from many of the more religious inclined people of Zackaroth due to their stances on certain issues.

Overall, the HDZ takes broad strokes from the Hyper Democrats in Canada but with a Zackarothian twist. Out of all the parties they want to change Zackaroth the most. First off, they want to completely rework the High Councilor positions. Instead of it being a collection of representatives from each state in Zackaroth, they would want to fill it the best of the best in fields like economics, medicine and etc.

They also want to to deregulate some of the industries in Zackaroth, most notably the arms industry. Since its sudden explosion in wealth, the HDZ is calling for the industry to be deregulated and the various government run companies to become private. They are however in favor of keeping the oil industries in Zackaroth owned by the state, saying its much too important of a resource to allow foreign meddling.

They also plan to tweak Zackaroth's education a bit. While saying the current education children receive is good, it can be better by preparing students for other jobs and other sectors of the economy that need help. However, their plan has resulted in some controversy as they would plan on making getting an education as a perquisite as to be able to vote, something the Zackarothian Constitution guarantees to all those who reach the age of 17 or join the military at 16. They also say current political history is biased in favor of Zackaroth and for children to truly learn they must not be indoctrinated. They also believe the history of Islam should focused on more in school. The opposition contends it already is and anything more would cross the Church and State line.

They also want to create small micro-states for the cities of Mecca and Medina, saying Zackaroth's most holy sites should be self governed by their own Councilor. For years, many of those of a more hard lined faith in Islam have rallied around this cause. However, every High leader has rejected this notion. There is fear if both cities where to become micro states, they would eventually try to secede, which could trigger a bloody insurgency and a return of radicals.

In terms of foreign relations, the HDZ is much more for improving relations with the NAF/UMU and remaining very neutral to the conflicts in Europe and Africa, saying the military should only be used to defend rather then attack.

All in all HDZ is popular among some in Zackaroth but they barely made it to be recognized an official party. It remains to be seen if they get any support during this election.

Zackarothian People Party

Perhaps the party that suffers the most from the two new ones springing up. Faith in the ZPP is at all time low after they lost the election back in May and the fact the new High Leader seems to be taking some of their ideas. This has forced the ZPP to move even further left. However, with the recent shift away from Europe they are still advocating stronger ties with Europe, mostly France and the UK. The ZPP also wants a cautious interaction with the Imperial League, with many thinking they are a more dangerous force then even the FSR. They wold also want to reduce arms sales to these nations.

While they applaud the efforts of the current High Leader in restoring relations with Puertollano, more needs to be done in restoring relations with the entire world after the death of 12 million people. They also believe more needs to be done in assisting Askkum and aiding the African continent but that Zackaroth should not be playing a peacekeeper role unless there is a gross violation of a nations sovereign rights. They believe in opening up better relations with Persia and opening a better line of communication with the Ottoman Empire, if a wary one.

They also believe in using the CSN more as a tool of negotiation rather then using Zackaroth's military to settle matters. Their platform is more based on foreign relations rather then internal issues as none of it has changed since the last election.

Immaad al-Reza is running again, getting a lot of support from within his party for choosing not to retire after being injured in the Orostan attack on Toss.

The Polish administration have made an official announcement, and has declared the entirety of the Błędów desert as military property, including the surrounding 5 km sq.

The area was not populated and was only used for a stopover by travelers on a journey crossing the Silesian Voivodeship region of Poland. Seeing the potential of the land as a military headquarters and proving grounds, the government decided to set up a military base, this base will be named The Jaruzelski Base & Headquarters.

The base will cover the entirety of the desert, including an additional 5 km. (37 sq. km / 22 sq mi) The area will act as an army and air force military headquarters, training grounds, barracks, armory, and airbase, and will house at least 25,000 active duty personnel and 75,000 reserve personnel. The base will also serve as a joint military camp in the near future.

The base will be completed around the start of February.

Helios Program applauded for successful innovations

COOPER PEDY-With an outstanding budget of $27.58B left from the initial $65B, the Helios Program had finally reached and has been able to surpass expectations of it. Because of the program, about 65% of Australia's power consumption is supplied by the the numerous established large solar, hydro plants located all across the wide continent. The program has also helped negate the country's dependence on gasoline and diesel after the introduction of the Holden Volt which became popular in the country. TransGen open new facilities in Vietnam
