The two journalists were later released wearing nothing but a sign saying "I betrayed the Third Calin Empire".

They were forced to walk around Vienna chanting " I hate the new empire". The government encourages laughing and taking pictures of the journalists. But discourages physical harm.

Many foreigners tried to stop the police, but ended up arrested. Since foreigners aren't allowed to partake in public humiliation, they were only fined 1,000$

When the journalists were later questioned, they said they deserved their punishment.

Akksum denouces Calindelo's laws!

Following the new legislation in Calindelo's, targeting that of Foreigners within their nation. President Kidane Alem Daniel of Akksum immediately went live with his opinions on the issue.

Herpostan Conducts Military Drills

In a cunning display of Military Might, the Herpostani Defence Force staged a huge military drill up north near the border between Calindelo and Herpostan. The military drill was participated by 400,000 men of the HDF, over 3/4 of the total armed forces. Our Leiter had observed in a nearby observation tower near BFR Herpo (Where the drills were based). The Drill's purpose is to renew Military compability in the new year and to revitalize the Army's Defence Preparations incase of invasion against two large Neighbors. CLOSING RELATIONS
After Calindelo's recent shutting down of it's borders Joseph Lenin has placed troops along the border with Calindelo and Ladvania, this is the first time Ladvania does this since Rising tensions in WW2.
Joseph Lenin has stated that he is angered by Calindelo's actions against the two journalists, and says justice will be seeked.

Arrests have been made in Odessa after the Ladvania Intelligence Corps(LIC) found 3 Calin immigrants spreading propaganda promoting acts of terrorism. Major Operation to Ladvania

The three branches of the French Armed Forces have together launched a major operation in the SNL. A400M Atlas transport aircraft of the French Air Force have begun to fly in elements of the 3rd Infantry Division of the French Army and a squadron of French Rafales is being moved to the country temporarily. A battalion equivalent of advanced AMX Leclerc tanks have been loaned to the government of the SNL by the French Army, along with several hundred man-portable SAMs. The French Mediterranean Fleet has also begun to re-position itself near to the port city of Odessa, allowing for increased air defenses of both the port and of the Fleet itself.

Satellite Launches

The first of the two ISNS satellites has been granted permission for launching into orbit at some point this week. Military personnel remain in control of the second ISNS rocket however, and have not given any estimation for when it will be allowed to proceed. The French early warning satellite has been given the green light for launching over the next 48 hours.

Kalmar Union Launches Major Pushback Against Calindelo Totalitarian Police State; Blocks Calindelan Access to the Ocean
With a new leader who has not been democratically elected, has locked its borders entirely, has enforced abusive and excessive punishments, and has stomped on the freedom of the press, Calindelo has transformed into a totalitarian police state almost overnight. As a result, the Kalmar Union has enacted a total embargo on Calindelo and will not allow Calindelan ships to cross from the Baltic to the North Sea unless they renounce their allegiance to Calindelo; however, they have begun a refugee program to help people escape the tyrannical rule of their new government. Thus, added on to Calindelo's new border policy that prevents people, even tourists, from passing through, Calindelan trade is expected to take a major blow from not being able to send ships into the ocean. The Baltic Fleet has been put on high alert and is being buffed up. All diplomatic ties have been cut, and ambassadors have been called back until democratic elections return to Calindelo once more.

In an official statement, the Espalsian Minister of Culture Alejandro Morillon informed that Espalsio is a rightful successor of the Roman Empire and therefore, it will officially change the name from "Latin Empire" to "Western Roman Empire" to fit its destiny of the Roman might. From now on, all public schools will introduce Greek and Latin languages in addition to a full course of Roman history. The army will introduce legions instead of brigades and the king of Espalsio will be referred to as the "Caesar of Rome." The capital of Madrid will be referred to as the "third Rome." IN THE TIME OF NEED
After a several hour long phone call with Hornik involving Calin-Ladvanian citizens and the journalists recently publicly shamed the two have reached a final conclusion. Ladvania welcomes tbe 2 journalists and Joseph Lenin later said he will seek justice. The Calin-Ladvanian citizens that have been trying to spark a conspiracy in Ladvania have been arrested and interrogated. They have confessed that the reason behind these alleged terrorist plans were justified by their home country's current regime. The 3 Calins will be prosecuted for treason and may face deportation or 15 years in prison.

Condemnation of Calindelo

Calindelo's recent elections have shown that the nation is one war with no disregard towards peace with its neighbors and no regard for the well being of its people. Falon Mer is quoted as saying:

"It is quite easy to see that Calindelo's regime acts and operates as one of force and fear. Its regime looks to test the unity of Europe to see if we will stand idly by and let pass its aggressions in the name of peace as we once did before. I cannot say what Calindelo will tomorrow or the next day but I can say this the USSR will be there to respond in the only proper way."

In line with recent policy towards Calindelo, the council has adopted a three branch system to deal with the Central European state:

No Compromise: The USSR that shall make no comprise here nor in the future with Calindelo until it reverses a number of its policies that has targeted various groups within its nation.

No Appeasement: The USSR shall no make action her nor in the future to appease the state of Calindelo and shall respond to any and all claims of the territorial variety as an act of aggression to responded to justly.

No Mercy: Any action taken by Calindelo that proves detrimental either to a neighbor or its people shall responded to justly with any invasion by its military on any European soil regardless of government, belief, or creed will be treated as an act of war against Europe and as such against the USSR.

To show the seriousness of the USSR's conviction towards these new policies several tank and plane units have been ordered along the the USSR's borders with Europe along various points spanning from the Baltic Sea down to the Black Sea. Further several units are deployed towards Kalingrad to fortify the border by beginning the process to build a fence along the area as well build several outpost along the area. Within the Baltic territories units are given instruction to begin exercises with the Soviet Airforces stationed there given orders to begin several air drills to maintain readiness.

France has today implemented various sanctions which will isolate much of Central Europe. The French government has informed all businesses in the French Republic (including it's vast Overseas Dominions) that any trading with Calidelo and Herpostan will be met with severe consequences. Prime Minister Bernard Lamar has expelled all diplomats from these countries in France, excluding any who are representatives to the DEU. Lamar has called the French actions a renewal of 'Cordon Sanitaire'. President Leonard, who has just arrived in London, has cancelled his scheduled attendance at the Franco-Iberian summit in Andorra later this week as they are encouraging the rise of Fascism, and has called upon all nations to adopt the principles of Cordon Sanitaire in regards to Central Europe.

French diplomats were also seen talking with Zackaroth and EotUK, other major oil producers. Markets have reacted in panic, with the global oil price climbing overnight and Central Europe awakening to an oil drought from Eurasia.

NAF troops arrive in Europe

North American Federation troops and aircraft have begun to arrive in Metropolitan France today according to local media. Two infantry divisions, an armored division, two air wings, and one naval fleet are reported to be crossing the Atlantic as we go to press. In addition to this, the Algerian army is amassing it's forces for major wargame activities.

After the death of Ludwig Krall, the Fregantese Senate denounced the new authoritarian regime in Calindelo. The Fregantese diplomats are being called back and tourists are discouraged to go to Calindelo, Herpostan and Espalsio. The Great Consul discussed the situation with the government and the media;

It is unfortunate that Ludwig Krall, old head of the state of Calindelo who I very much enjoyed having a state dinner with, is now dead. Military Buildup on Argentine Border


The rising tensions are now being felt even more in South America. Orostanimilitary units have begun moving to the South, including tanks and artillery. The country of Espalsio, the colonial ruler of Argentina, has been notified that unless their government turns to democracy and freedom of the press, Orostan may have to take economic action. The new O-5 cruise missile entered service today, and is designed to carry anti-Infantry napalm bombs.
