[New Metropolitan France]

Military Forecast Changes

The French Armed Forces today allocated the last of it's budget as part of preparations for a new era of operations in 2017. Defense Minister Jacques Chevalier gave the announcement:

2015 was a year in which the Fifth Republic died, the military modernized, and the Sixth Republic became a Great Power once more with Super Power ambitions. 2016 France was unquestionably a Super Power, with a military aimed at attaining that status. 2017 will be a year in which the Republic must maintain this status, or decline. These new additions to the budget reflect this.

Greek Withdrawal Operation Ends

The last French Army regulars which were occupying the Peloponnese Peninsula have returned to Metropolitan France as heroes, with a large parade being held in Toulon to celebrate their victory over the previous Greek government alongside close allies Turkey, Prussia and the NAF, and the bright prospect of a stable Balkan region once more. All French Naval and Air Force personnel which had been in the campaign had already redeployed to the Black Sea earlier this year, meaning France no longer has any military force within the borders of the Fregantes Empire.

French Exodus from Greenland?

The French Republic has officially announced that the bulk of it's administrators in Greenland may be on the verge of leaving the territory, with all French government officials residing there excluding a new embassy staff boarding Airbus planes back to Metropolitan France. The French Armed Forces have also been seen reinforcing their various facilities in Greenland, including Air Bases, Army Barracks, and Naval Dockyards.

Big Brother Confirmed

The media released new information concerning the secret society organisation Guild of the Martyrdom. The general public does not know what is being discussed during the guild's monthly meetings but there are rumors that most powerful people of Espalsio, including the royal families of Iberia and Morocco, are part of it. It was created after WWII in order to protect the Espalsian people from dangers of the world but the organisation isnt open to the media. It is also rumored to have special relations with the Church.

The new Zulfiquar IV prototype has been tested according to the Ministry of Defense. The Ministry stated that it was "a complete success, and a groundbreaking emergence in technology" the Zulfiquar IV is rumored to have great potential and capabilities. 5 prototypes are in existence according to the Ministry. Four of which are the same, one is unique. All were tested, and apparently the unique one was surprisingly better according to leaks from the Ministry.

HDAwHUD - (Head Defensive Armor with Heads Up Display) Twice as bullet resistant than a normal combat helmet, Heads up display can display Augmented Reality sights and weapon lasers.

LBRTV - (Lightweight Bullet Resistant Tactical Vest) The vest weighs only 26 pounds, and armor is spread across the torso, from the shoulders, neck and sides, but is less bullet resistant than normal vody armor.

FRCS - (Flame Resistant Combat Shirt) Sheilds the user from severe burns, also very expandable.

FRCP - (Flame Resistant Combat Pants) Sheilds the user from severe burns, also has a bullet resistant part in the crotch area.

Additional parts of the uniforms like gloves and boots are unknown. And will be announced later in the year.

The Finished product will finish mid January , And mass production will start in february.

Non - MICA members can purchase these armor, but its unlikely.

Habitation Module Launch!

Today, a rocket lifted off from Montevideo Space Launch Site carrying the habitation module for the space station, and joining them together in orbit. A second manned mission is being prepared for launch, this time using a better crew capsule capable of carrying four people. These four people will be the first crew of this new station, and preform experiments such as the launch of satellites from orbit using what has been described as an 'orbital pick up truck' to acquire satellites that have run out of maneuvering thrusters, refuel them, and then reprogram them. The "space pick up truck' will be sent into space on a future mission.

Economic News

Following the construction of new factories near and in coastal cities, automation is making Orostani goods higher quality and cheaper than some competitors. Although this has been very expensive to state owned companies, and to private companies, the profits from this are expected to at least triple manufacturing. New jobs have been created as such, with the volume of new factories providing enough well paying jobs to help eliminate poverty, as well as Orostan's large education system with education mandatory up to one year of government funded college.

The comments of a senator made their way to the Swedish and Prussian news with changing degrees of criticism. The Great Consul Maxvellein Relhophen Fregantes made an official announcement regarding this subject;

Due to the incident that happened quite a bit ago, the Akksumian Military Police may of apprehended a sympathizer with possible ties to Yves. He was arrested after the military police were tipped off by a subordinate of Égide, that wishes to stay unnamed in threat of possible attempts on his life by Égide, or even by other sympathizers of Yves. The man was also in the area of Cameroon, when the bomb had gone off, though he wasn't suspected of being within the city he may of had ties to the men that had committed the act. According to Government Officials, any foreign entities willing to send in forces for manhunt on Yves, they shall be welcomed into Akksum.

A step towards world peace occurred today as the Treaty of Ankara was signed in the Turkish capital of Ankara. The treaty has ended one of the most prolific wars of the early twenty-first century between two historical rivals. A throng of diplomats haggled and argued in the halls of an Ankara conference room until finally the two sides found peace with the following major terms:

-The restriction of all Neo-byzantine ideologies and parties, with all groups subject to random and yearly reviews
-The stationing of French and Turkish troops in a series of 10 bases (Turkey: 7, France: 3) across the nation of Greece
-Turkish acknowledgement of damage caused to civilians
-Major Turkish loans in order to finance a rebuilding of Infrastructure and feeding internally displaced Greek citizens

Criticism of Current Draft of the Treaty of Ankara

"While I'm overjoyed to see that the diplomatic process has begun and this war has drawn to a close, I must express my concerns about the proposed terms of the Treaty of Ankara, which I find exploitative and reminiscent of long back when the victors of World War I placed punitive measures onto the losing nations, ultimately leading to the rise of Hitler and World War II.

First of all, the suppression of free speech in Greece that the Turkish government is trying to enforce is unjustifiable; this will only lead to these groups of people feeling more isolated, sending them underground to pull more people into the shadows. Do not put down peaceful free speech, however horrific it may be: such a measure sows the seeds for toxicity within Greece.

Second of all, I am concerned that the stationing of troops and military bases that the Turkish government wishes to place will, in effect, create military rule by a foreign government in Greece.

Also, I am concerned about how, just like the victors of World War I had done to Germany, the Turkish government wishes to limit the size of the Greek Armed Forces, a measure which will only create more hatred and could even lead to more war, as has been shown by the rise of Hitler and World War II.

Finally, Turkish establishment of a pipeline through Greece as a term of the war treaty, while I cannot comment on the motivations behind it and although it may very well be seen as mutually beneficial by both sides, implies that a country that wins a war against another has the right to force projects upon a losing nation's economy, which could set a bad precedent for war treaties in the future. I would suggest making the pipeline an agreement separate from the treaty itself, which is supposed to settle a war not introduce an economic agreement.

I hope that both sides will consider my argument and will work towards a fairer solution before the treaty is ratified.

The Treaty of Ankara officially ended the Greco-Turkish war an peace once again came to the nation. The Senate declared this day to be a holiday. Orostani Science authorities respond that it is their responsibility to not just make Orostan better, but help make the whole world better. Orostan has trade deals, defense pacts, and negotiations with other nations, much like other nations. By that same logic, the SNL has no business doing anything at all outside their own borders, nor does any other nation. It does not matter if a nation has a certain belief. If it is wrong, it should be fixed, and its followers educated on the truth.

After remarks made about orostan and the "broken education system" of Prussia. Kaiser Wilhelm responded....

"Wait What Orostan? I'm not allowed to let kids learn what they want to learn? What if they need help learned by about the Bible? Or Cosmos? Or Scientology? Or even the Flying Spaghetti Monster? I'm just giving kids a chance to be the person they wanna be....not something a foreign government from a different continent that has been seen as a failed state earlier this year tells them to be....let them explore....let them believe.....give them hope....if your correct and we all just go to nothingness when we die....then what's the harm? Why do you care? Now I'm sorry christians want to create a theocracy in your country...tell them a Christian such as myself says that is not the way towards god."

The top scientist of Orostan, Luiz Garcia, has challenged anyone who will accept it in Prussia to a debate on Science vs Creationism.

Several Educators in Orostan have pointed out that with such a wide variety of Religions in the world, it would almost be impossible to have a teacher for each one. The amount of Religious sects in the world also support this, for a school would need hundreds of teachers alone to teach every Christian sect. Orostani Scientists and Educators never said everyone should be irreligious, only that religion should have no place in Public schooling systems.

Pipeline well Underway
A pipeline from Persia to Northern Syria is making rapid progress. The pipeline commissioned by the Ministry of Energy and the Syrian Administration of Persian-occupied Syria is meant to send Persian oil to Northern Syria and extract Syrian oil to Persia, an agreement that is mutually beneficial. The Ministry of Energy has also set a quota that 55% of the workers must be Arabs, and 40% of them Syrian Arabs. This is part of a wider infrastructure redevelopment effort in Northern Syria.

After a long debate within the Senate, a decision was made; The Greek Alphabet is going to be revoked and the Greek language will be adapted to the Latin Alphabet. When The Great Consul was asked about this matter, he replied:

Look, Alphabet is how we write, and we should write in the easiest way possible. Latin Alphabet is also the dominant alphabet in the western world. The adaption will be released in the near future.

Today the Ladvanian administration looked into the situation in Akksum with its delegeation and Ladvania has indeed approved the Reactivation of the 57th Stormtrooper Regiment. The 100 men of Ladvanias finest gorilla warfare group will be assisting The Akksum government in the manhunt for Yves. Most of the 100 men of the 57th are veterans of the manhunt for A.Hiller in the Amazon and preparing for deployment as we speak.
Joseph Lenin stated among the news that this is to continue the elimination of Dangerous men in the world.

In other news; Ladvania has extended its hnad in the middle east, improving current relations with Persia. The two nations now share a non-aggression pact.

Hunt for Yves
The Godesses (the former [redacted] special forces group.....this is their first public appearance so their name is now public....although nobody knows they are all adopted Chinese lost girls) have been sent into Aksum along with 7 of Prussia's best investigators have been sent to hunt Yves.....this is their first public mission as well as the public introduction of the Special Forces group.

However before the 32 people leave a transmission was sent to the Aksum governments asking if they want Yves alive or dead.
