Mass demonstrations have swept across the country. People are demanding a stop to the transcontinental European pipeline, construction of which was approved by the government last month. The initiator of the protests, Nikola Zelnic, claims that the pipeline will destroy the wildlife and as a result, many species may go extinct. He says that if the government does not meet their demands, they will bring the demonstrations to the streets of Mika'eelovsk. The Ministry of Resources said that the pipeline construction will proceed.

French Election Day

Metropolitan France went to the ballot box today, holding both parliamentary and presidential elections. Early exit polls indicated that as predicted there was a closely-fought contest between the incumbent Republicans and arch-rival Conservatives. The Republicans emerged with 36% of the vote, while the Conservatives came in close behind on 34%. It took longer for the smaller parties to have their votes counted, as results in key areas were very close. The Continent Party achieved 5% of the vote, with their supporters hailing the result as a great first step as 2016 has been their first ever national election campaign. After a few hours of negotiations and result confirmation, it was publicly announced that the Conservatives had formed an alliance with the Continentals, with both parties willing to compromise and find some common ground on policy. Meanwhile, the Prosperity Party suffered a devastating blow: falling to 8% of the vote from their last election total of 14%. The Liberty Party was the last party to have their results confirmed, achieving 17% of the vote. The Republicans and Liberty Party then announced their own coalition arrangement, giving them 53% of the vote and the overall majority. By the next morning, all votes had been counted and checked. The incumbent president (Fabien Leonard) had, with the support of both his Republic Party members and Liberty Party allies, secured a second term in office. The Republic-Liberty Coalition is still discussing possible changes in the cabinet, with major portfolios expected to be announced over the next several days. The Conservative-Continent-Prosperity Bloc conceded defeat with honor in a joint press conference, and said that although they would be active in upholding the views of their supporters during their term in Opposition, they believe that the government has the confidence of the people and nation, and so they will respect the democratic principles of the Republic.

Although The SNL has voted no on the intervention it has not stopped Joseph Lenin to contact his generals to conduct militaristic exercises and training. The different divisions of the Ladvanian army have been working together in such training, preparing them for a possible entry to the war should European soil be attacked. Joseph Lenin has asked the Ladvanian Congress to consider the recruitment and usage of civilian planes to be turned into transport planes for the military.
Massive advertisements have gone to already qualified pilots in the civilian community so that the new Ladvanian Army Aero Corps may actually be put into use.
Commission into the Ladvanian military has been guaranteed for individuals that qualify to work in specific fields, like Aviation, Cyber warfare, and Physiological warfare.
This has boosted enlistment rate, as the Ladvanian military has also agreed to train individual willing to work in those fields and ultimately gain a commission (which comes with higher pay)
Congress has approved all this so it will also be into affect soon.
Much of the Military budget has been used but the development programs don't end there, a controversial issue in Ladvania is the Healthcare for Active duty, Guard(Reserves), and Veterans.
Many believe it should be privatized but a significantly large portion believe it should be fully government funded, this has been brought up to congress several months ago and shall be voted on Tomorrow afternoon.

Israeli Council Condemns Prussian Sanctions

The Speaker of the Council Zakariyah Yeriho strongly condemned the recent actions of Prussia towards the Kingdom on behalf of the whole government. He assured the people that Prussia will not hurt Israel and the Underground Union will come to an aid if necessary like they did earlier by selling the advanced weapons. He said that Prussia is trying to recreate Holocaust but they will surely fail in their foolish attempts.

Today Lenin spoke out after prussia saying it will support it's current position against the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

Israeli Sanctions

In response to the sanctions imposed from its neighbors, Israel finally imposed its sanctions on Prussia and SNL. Kaiser Wilhelm and Joseph Lenin, along with other proposers of the sanctions, joined the "black list" where they are banned from the Peninsula. No aircraft from the two countries, other than civilian aircraft, is allowed to enter the Israeli aerospace or be shot down.

Church Bought

The biggest Cathedral church of Harit in the city downtown was acquired from the "Orthodox" Church and converted into a mosque to please the growing Muslim community of Israel which are mostly Crimean Tatars. The director of Muslim-Jew Dialogue explained that the move was done to unite all the people under one government and encourage Muslims to serve more their motherland of Israel against immorality and evil. The French Mediterranean Fleet has deployed to the Black Sea, and begun to conduct patrols just outside the territorial waters of the Crimean state. The Fleet had restocked it's forces following the end of the French deployments in Lebanon and Greece, and is once again fully combat ready. French Navy Rafales have requested permission to land in the SNL to refuel over the next several days, however the New Republic remains capable of performing such duties if permission is denied. Meanwhile, France has begun to withdraw occupying personnel from the Peloponnese Peninsula, however will retain some personnel there until Turkey and Greece officially end hostilities in a treaty.

Prussia Criticized, Telecomunications Comapnies Nationalized

The widely viewed Theocratic nation of Prussia has recently been criticized by President Anderson. He called Prussia a "Nation run by Capitalist pigs" when asked about the recent privatizations. The National Democratic Socialist Committee has begun a funding campaign to fund leftist parties in Prussia, as part of its "World Socialism Fund". Three telecommunications corporations have been nationalized after it was discovered they had evaded millions in taxes, and the board of directors and CEO of all nationalized corporations have been arrested. President Anderson said that "The large Corporations have been committing crimes against the Workers" during the election, and that he intends to bring justice upon them. Orostan's increasingly Industrial economy, boosted by new factories being built, has begun demanding more transport capability from the shipping industries, and new container ships are being ordered all the time now from shipyards.

Military R&D Funds Missing

Roughly 30% of the entire Military Research and Development funds have been spent on "Secret" weapons. Conspiracy theorists allege that sub orbital weapons are being tested at testing ranges in Orostan's south, after the Military publicly acknowledged that it was "Experimenting with high arc sub orbital weapons". The Military has explained the large explosions in Testing ranges as "Large conventional bombs". Conspiracy theorists also allege that some Orostani Nuclear weapons were never fully disassembled, and are held in a large Military marked Container ship at the edge of the Orostani EEZ. Military authorities have not stated what is in the container ship, but it is always protected by a trio of Destroyers. The sea around it is marked restricted, but video from a drone reportedly launched from a private yacht posted on Oro-Chan has shown large cylindrical objects being moved to other parts of the ship, supposedly missiles. The Drone was shot down soon after taking this video, and its authenticity is debated.

Orostan has been criticised for attempting to unwillfully propose political dogma on successful nations. Novan Social Democrat Party rise in polls | Arms companies nationalised | 12 arrested in attempted murder

It seems that hate towards rioters from last year has not dissipated, as twelve men and women were arrested during the assault and attempted killing of four men who "frequented communist forums" and flew red flags, in a western working class neighbourhood of Hashan.

Causes of the riots was due to the loss of Communist East European territories leading to a number of communists and fascists migrating into Novask, establishing themselves in poor and poverty-stricken areas. As the Presydent promised to prevent the return of "dangerous ideologies", protests grew and became violent riots.

The popularity of Presydent Karnik and the New Novask Party grew after the suppression of these riots, and though he has repeatedly condemned attacks on any political supporters, these attacks continue.

Such attackers justify their actions by claiming "they deserve the destruction they supported last year", to quote one of the arrested today.

Each were sentenced to five years in prison, described by the judge (Stanyslav Vartek) as "not unlike terrorism".

The Presydent has decided to merge the arms companies and nationalise them, likely following the pressure of these companies on the civilian engineering market- though not all agree with the decision, conservative party members declaring "politicians are not businessmen and have no place to act as such."

Market values of both West Front Arms and Blackguard Military Services have dropped by 9%, according to the RPN, though economists predicted more will seek work in engineering and arms industry.

This act of nationalisation may have spurred the Social Democrats to gain their rise to 24% in recent polls from previous 5%, but experts have not directly linked these two events.

Bombing shakes Douala!

In recent events, the major city of Douala in the province of Cameroon was rocked by a terrorist bombing just a few moments ago. The bombing seems to have been targeting a home of a known politician in the area, that has been trying to get the Akksumian president to get involved with the Boko Haram within Nigeria. The bombing may also be linked to Yves, as the man that has been called "The Devil of the Sands." was also spotted within the area, a few moments before the bomb went off. The manhunt in the area for the man, has begun to hopefully find him before he can get away from the city. The dead within the city, has been estimated to be minimal, as it was a home but still. 3 were killed in the explosion, and 5 injured. All staff within the building, and a family member on the politician.

The North American Federation has grown weary of Orostans Nuclear ambitions. They have dispatched an unnamed stealth Drone, armed with many nuclear detection technologies, such as a Geiger Counter. It's destination is the Orostoni Cargo ship off the edge of the Orostoni EEZ. If a nuclear weapon, or any nuclear material is detected, Orostan will face severe consequences by the NAF and her allies.

NAF condemns Akksum Bombing!
The North American Embassy in Akksum has come out with a press release condemning the recent Bombing in Akksum. [i]"It is sad that the Plague that is Yves had to strike again. . . . The Victims will forever be remembered by their peers, and it's sad that their lives were cut short because of a mad mans agenda." (Ambassador John Colbert)
Delegate Arnold Wilford has proposed to the House to assist Akksum with finding Yves if he is not found in the coming days. It is to be voted on later.

In Congress another war is waging, as Pax Americana has already been broken with the Invasion of Liberia. The Invasion of Liberia came as a surprise to the people, as they don't understand why we would break the self imposed time of peace to invade some "primitive" country. The secret ship off the coast of Orostan has finally revealed its purpose, launching a rocket within hours of it's purpose being announced. The secrecy has been justified with the statement that other countries "Usually" don't like Orostan building things. The Satellite is for scientific purposes, and is stated to be a test bed for future launches. Several Rockets have been shown to the Public in Zaragora before movement south, into the Uruguay Province. A crewed launch is planned for later, and will be funded by the military, with several "unspecified" payloads. New Rocket factories have been commissioned in Uruguay, and plans to make an agency dedicated for spaceflight have taken hold.

Israel Warns France

Abraham ben Yusuf warned the French vessels operating near the waters of Israel that their dangerous games will lead them to their demise. He said that if those ships try to harm the land of Israel, they will experience heavy consequences. Israeli Navy has been on high alert keeping a watchful eye on the French.

Mawlid Celebration Forbidden

The Wisemen's Council of Israel issued a verdict forbidding celebration of Christmas and Mawlid (the latter is a birthday of the Prophet Muhammad). They said that those individuals have never celebrated their birthdays, nor did their companions, and one can honor them without indulging in such innovations.

New Nuclear Plants

Minister of Energy, Luigi de Magistris, announced the construction of new nuclear plants in Apulia and Tunisia. After the referendum whether to use nuclear power 6 months ago everything is ready to go. The construction is expected to be finished by 2022 with future plans to build 4 more plants throughout the nation. Luigi de Magistris takes inspiration from France's vast number of nuclear power plants, and hopes to eventually phase out coal power, reducing the number of CO2 emissions currently put out by the Kingdom.

New Submarine Fleet

Today the Royal Navy has launched its first fleet of Tripoli fast attack submarines. They are nuclear powered and almost able to reach speeds of 30 knots. Currently the navy only has a 6 and plans to build up 36 subs. The subs are expected to be in commision until 2070 and some until 2080 with some redesigns in the future. This is one of the first steps in the new military expansion of the Kingdom.

Rafale jets 'buzz' Crimean ships

Four Rafale fighters were caught on video today flying in extremely close proximity to vessels outside the Crimean EEZ, in one instance passing within 30 feet of a foreign navy ship. The Rafales were recorded as having both anti-ship weapons and missiles suited to dogfights on their wing-mounts, visible to all onboard the Crimean ships. After making ten passes each, the Rafales accelerated to it's highest speed before locking their radar onto the nearby foreign vessel. As such, any radar warning systems on the Crimean ship would have been activated, adding to the sense of fear and dread felt by the Israeli crew members. The French Government refused to comment on the incident, and the Rafales would then travel to the SNL for refueling.

Israel Not Theocracy

HRM Abraham ben Yusuf assured the world powers that Israel is a free kingdom which does not operate under the rules of theocracy. "We are not responsible for the misunderstanding of the kaiser and other DEU members. This is the way Israel wants to live so let it lead this lifestyle..." commented he. Ben Yusuf encouraged the crew to keep steadfast and not let the opponents intimidate them.

Prime Minister Warns Entente
In a surprising speech this morning, the Prime Minister of the British Isles has spoken out against hostilities towards the self proclaimed but unrecognised "Kingdom of Israel".
Prussia and Ladvania have carried out full trade sanctions, while Zackaroth is distributing less. French pilots in Rafale jets have been "buzzing" Israeli ships, according to French publications.

The actions, including the French pilots antagonising "Israeli" ships, has resulted in a Parliamentary motion.
"We expect better from the level of high standard training France conducts, and we are intrigued by the lack of government explanation."
The Foreign Affairs minister has commented that "The Prime Minister is right to say what he has, and we will not be funding any wars, especially with people whom we have no relationship with and who have done nothing to us."

Members of Parliament have been questioning the supposed migration of "criminals" taken in (but later dismissed) by Zackaroth from the Kingdom, and have been highlighting that trade sanctions are justified. The Prime Minister of Egypt countered these claims by British MPs by stating that "This was a localised problem, until European powers once again expanded it. Europe needs to act dilligently with different cultures, we agree with the British Prime Minister."

"Israel" has recently banned public religious holidays, which English secularists both condemn and congratulate due to it being a step away from theocracy and a step towards secularism, however it must be noted that Jewish holidays have not been outlawed - showing direct religious favouritism the government. The diminishing cultural identity will have solid negative affects to their soft power in the Middle East.

His Majesty Prince George VII released a statement stating his feelings regarding the unrecognised, self proclaimed "Kingdom of Israel".

The group of peoples who are unrecognised by my government in the Middle East have most amused me, they are obviously attempting to extend a hand but fail to research this land of hope and glory. They specifically stated I as a Queen, whereas I assure you dear people I am not. We do not support this piece of land. We simply do not wish to involve ourselves in petty conflict. We support our Entente alliances, however we will not contribute all our resources to a pathetic conflict. We wish for no relations.

Crimean Mystery

The French Defense Minister was today asked what his thoughts were on the events in the Black Sea. When asked directly about how the recent conduct of Rafale aircraft could signal a major diplomatic incident with the 'Kingdom of Israel', he stated that Franco-Givati relations remained as strong as ever, and his confusion over why an incident involving an autonomous province of Ukraine would upset such bonds.

Our relations with Givati are incredibly important. They are a valued partner, and I hope to visit Tel Aviv soon to meet with the leadership of the world's only legitimate Jewish state.
