French Confederation declares neutrality

The Sixth Republic and the wider French Confederation has made an announcement stating that they will remain neutral in the current South American dispute. As a sign of the Confederation's commitment to peace, even in this time of tension, approximately 1,500 additional military personnel will be removed from service effective immediately. Although smaller than the recent loss of almost 100,000 personnel, it is hoped that the other nations in the world treat this as a token of respect and progress as the Republic looks to continue downsizing their military over time.

Diplomatic News

Recently, the relations between Israel and Palestine are generally improving, as diplomats from both countries have been hard at work in the Gaza Strip. The newest compromise to be made regarding the borders involves a 25% reduction of armed men on the Israel-Palestine marches. In light of this troop reduction, security forces have, however, lengthened the customs process for traveling civilians, adding nearly a minute in wait. It is unknown whether or not Palestine has since changed their security process. Troops withdrawn from the Israeli-Palestinian borders have been placed on the borders of Syria, Zackaroth, and Egypt. The previous envoys to all Middle Eastern countries besides Palestine have been removed and replaced with fresh faces, as the nation hopes to renew relations with all surrounding countries.

Civilian Humanitarian Efforts

Last week, a new program was launched in Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center regarding childhood deformities in Israel and nearby countries. The program, spearheaded by Dr. Alhman Zeglsberg, who, with nearly 35 other doctors, has been largely successful thus far. Nearly 5% of the 20,000 screened applicants have already been put onto a medical plan and confirmed as treatable patients in just one week. The budget is entirely supported by donations and hospital revenue.

2 Grand-class will undertake the evacuation of Bendians residing or studying in Cape Thetis

Reich to send force to Cape Thetis

CANBERRA- With tensions running high in the Austro-Danubian portion of Cape Thetis with the South American nation of Puertollano, the shot had finally rang high and war may be in the horizon. With this report the Reich has declared that it will not take a side, considering that it may even lead to a bigger conflict. However the Reich will send 2 Grand-class frigates, along with its 2 Agusta helicopters, to evacuate the 50 students that are part of the student exchange program with ADE. In the advent of this deployment, the Reich government has sent messages to Puertollano and ADE to not initiate attacks on the small fleet as it will be an evacuation operation.
The evacuation will only cover the students and only the students, unless people with Australian passports are to approach in which they will be able to join the evacuation.

Military reacts to South America

HOBART- The scheduled war games with Puertollano are expected to be canceled by the Navy Admiralty. The war games was supposed to be held in Tasmania and was intended to help train Australian and Puertollanoan forces in amphibious exercises. However with tensions running high in South America and the Reich declaring its neutrality, in which all foreign military forces are not to be given access to Bendian ports, the ships of Puertollano are to be sent back to their homeports in South America.
The Pacific Fleet has been reportedly seen moving its forces West of New Zealand based from recent pictures in social media that show what appears to be a small fleet of frigates. The admiralty denies this and states that this must be just cargo ships under escort by 1 or 2 frigates but never a fleet of frigates.

Missile Defense Systems being established

The MDS-1, an Australian Iron Dome set to be Australia's first line of defense from missile attacks

SYDNEY-The first missile defense system of the Reich,MDS-1, has finished test trials and will set to enter military service in the coming days. The MDS-1 will be laid in the northern coasts of Queensland and Northern Territories to be able to detect and react to possible missiles coming from the northern hemisphere. The MDS-1 is almost identical to the Israeli Iron Dome as the government is set to buy the defense systems ammunition from the international market.

Destroyer sunk, Puertollano responds with force

A barrage of missiles and other weaponry struck the Puertollanoan Destroyer as it was cruising towards the Cape, the vessel wasn't expecting such reaction. A reaction that would start war. In the initial strike, 40 sailors perished in the flames, and as it began to sink another 10 drowned. Around 50 of the 100 sailors survived the brutal attack, and were stranded at sea. Instantaneously, the submarines responded to the attack. Of the 6 submarines present in the water, the 3 attack submarines then pursued nearby AB vessels, firing torpedos in a quick speed attack. Then 3 ballistic missile capable submarines surfaced from the water and fired ballistic missiles against the mediums used to fire the anti-ship missiles. This would be a recurring action as the submarines would submerge before surfacing to unleash another load of missiles onto the Neues Bukarest military. Returning from the Pacific, PS Benevolencia and its accompanying fleet, docked in a port in the Chilean FSR (close to the tip of South America). PS Benevolencia was preparing to launch an invasion of Neues Bukarest, or possibly Cape Thetis if the Italians respond with aggressive force.

The entire military of Puertollano has been mobilised, and further naval forces have been stationed at safe, yet strategic locations in the Atlantic Ocean. President Castillo and High General Chavez have had an emergency meeting in the Capital. An official government document released from the meeting has said that the Austro-Danubian Federations actions have been an act of war, and that Puertollano will treat it as such.

Governor Luigi Binelli Mantelli Calls For De-Escalation- Cape Thetis Government Seizes Neues Bukarest And Apologises About Lack of Clarity Regarding Former Rights To Enter Cape Thetis

Today after a major crisis took place the governor of Cape Thetis Luigi Binelli Mantelli has called for a deescalation of the crisis after a Puertollanoan naval vessel entered the territorial waters of Cape Thetis. Usually this would result in the Italian navy engaging the ship however previously the Italian government has allowed Puertollanoan naval vessels to dock in Cape Thetis when they had better relations however when the Calindelo Conflict took place the government tore up the agreement but admits that it was too private about the matter leading the Puertollanoan navy to believe that they had right of access- for this the Cape Thetis governor has apologised and says that "In future all policy changes shall be made public to avoid this issue again." The Italian government is furious at the Austro-Danubian response to the issue and the devolved Cape Thetis government has officially seized the 42km²(~16mi²) territory without mention of its return to the ADE ever, it has been requested by the governor that the Austro-Danubian military presence in Neues Bukarest be dismantled and returned to Europe, including all naval assets. The people of Neues Bukarest have been told that they can remain at their settlement and they will still be represented by the Neues Bukarest MP in the Cape Thetis Assembly in Nuovo Milano. The governor of Cape Thetis also wants to make it clear that the Cape Thetis EEZ(all water up to 200 miles from the coastline) can be traversed by any ships of any nation as this is usually permitted around the world however says that any ships entering the territorial waters of Cape Thetis without permission will be escorted out by the Italian navy and if they resist they shall be engaged.

Governor Luigi Binelli Mantelli made the announcement as soon as the Assembly opened this morning: Image

Reviving Australian National Line

Tough troughs lay ahead for the Australian National Line, but its always bound for the crest

SYDNEY-The national government has recently opened a public offering for the revival of the defunct Australian National Line. More than $110M was raised with investments coming from Australian investors as well as several individual investors from Europe and America. The national government has also declared funding the revival of the trans shipping line with $65M for the purchase of necessary port facilities and fees. Another $40M dollars will also be used to buy 4 500-ton cargo ships from TransGen Inc to help the public company start off.The ANL will have its base of operations in Sydney SEZ but are expected to open port facilities in the Philippines and China as it expands its own operations. N.A.F calls for diplomacy!
The Congress of the North American Federation, along side the Acting-President, has called for communication and talks to end the current South American crisis. The crisis started with a colony Austro-Danubian colony off the coast of Cape Thetas opened fire and sunk an Puertollanian ship that was "trespassing" into the colonies waters. This extreme reaction has prompted Puertollano to respond with force. As such before total war breaks out once again across the already war torn continent, the N.A.F government has called for talks. The government has stated "that the N.A.F will be more than willing to hold peace talks" and the further escalation by both sides will prompt a severe "military response from the Federations navy". As such the government has officially announced that the nation will be entering DEFCON 3 and all military branches are to become fully active. It has been said that Naval assets from both the Pacific and the Atlantic have been deployed, but the details are unknown.

The Austro-Danubian Empire

Image

Cape Thetis: An Update on the Crisis

The recent events that transpired in the waters of Cape Thetis have been the main source of well-deserved attention around the world. Although the Puertollanoan government's response to the crisis was the complete mobilization of the country, the Austro-Danubian Empire has decided that it is now the time to step down and prevent an all out war between the two nations. The Austro-Danubian government has released a statement stating that "...war will ultimately benefit neither the Austro-Danubian Empire, or the nation of Puertollano. The Empire stands beside her actions of self defense, and perhaps the Italian government's lack of clarity in its statements is to blame for Puertollano's illegal trespass into our waters. The fact remains that the Italian government has stated that the treaties allowing Puertollano to enter Cape Thetis' waters were in fact nullified, making Puertollano's actions illegal under the sovereignty of the entities of both Cape Thetis and Neues Bukarest."

The Austo-Danubian Empire is officially looking to diplomatically work the crisis out. Representatives are being sent to the North American Federation under their proposed hosting of a meeting as a third-party. Puertollano is expected to follow suit.

Immediately following the bombardment of the Puertollanoan naval destroyer, Austro-Danubian rescue teams raced to the scene. The rescue teams brought every Puertollanoan sailor in the water to safety in Neues Bukarest, and they are currently housed in extra barracks in the city.

Soon after these events, the Italian government dispatched a group of Italian soldiers to occupy Neues Bukarest in an attempt to prevent the escalation of war. Although the 30,500 Austro-Danubian soldiers at Neues Bukarest outnumbered the incoming Italian force, they were ordered to stand down and submit Neues Bukarest to Italian authority without any resistance. This act is not viewed as aggressive by the Italian government, as it understands that the Italians are simply trying to protect their Cape Thetis colony and prevent warfare from reaching its shores. It should also be noted that since Neues Bukarest is now being occupied by the Italian military, any actions taken against it would be a direct action against the Italian government. The soldiers at Neues Bukarest are to carry out their maintenance and building of the base, and the people of Neues Bukarest are to carry out their daily routines.

Italy Joins the Imperial League!

In more cheerful news, the Imperial League's presence has officially been bolstered in the world stage. With the return of the monarchy in Italy, Italian King Emanuele Filiberto requested for his nation to enter the League. A meeting was recently held between the Fregantes Empire, the Austro-Danubian Empire, and the Ottoman Empire with the agenda to discuss Italy's entering the League. The conclusion was simple: the Imperial Kingdom of Italy is to be permitted entry to the League absolutely, enjoying all of the benefits held by each of her current members.

This action yet again places the Imperial League on the global arena as it solidifies its the legitimacy of the League. More nations are expected to rally suit as the League becomes an ever more popular entity on the Earth. The League requests Italy make an official statement guaranteeing the upholding of the rights held by the divine Imperial governments and monarchies around the world as the other members of the League have.

The government of Italy also contributed 20,000 Italian soldiers to the Imperial Peace Corps (IPC). The IPC is now host to 80,000 soldiers. 20,000 each from all participants of the League. The League requests that the 20,000 Italian IPC soldiers be moved to Istanbul, the current seat of the League, to help with the construction of the IPC military base there.

God save the Imperial Monarchies of Earth!

The officially updated flag of the Imperial League. The Roman "SPQR" motto and laurel have been added to represent the Italian peoples and the Roman traditions of the League.Image

Cape Thetis Residents Hold Peace Rally Throughout Nuovo Milano

In the wake of the Cape Thetis crisis that has taken place over the past days the devolved government of Cape Thetis along with community leaders and the NCPO(Network of Christian Peace Organisations) arranged for a huge peace rally throughout Nuovo Milano. Over 30,000 residents took part in the rally with masses of people gathering at major centres in Nuovo Milano such as the central plaza and financial district. People from all walks of life took part in the rally- from ordinary citizens to police officers and government officials, even Governor Luigi Binelli Mantelli took part in the parade forming the peace symbol with hundreds of other people in central plaza. Christian peace hymns were also sung in the crowds, showing the Cape Thetis' communities great spirit and the close relationships between all who live there. The organisers of the event hope that it will send a message to Puertollano and the FSR that Cape Thetis and Italy don't want war, only peace. It is reported that smaller rallies were held in mainland Italy in cities such as Rome, Milan and Turin. Showing that not just the Cape Thetis government, but also the central government is against any war or violence.

NAF Naval Movements

As of recently, many ships of the NAF Navy has began repositioning themselves towards the South Alantic. Around three fleets of ships (in total around 72 ships) have been headed into the South Atlantic, specifically towards Cape Thetis. Meanwhle, another four fleets (96 ships total) have made their way to the Caribbean, near but not in Puertollanoan Waters. More recently, 2 Pacific Fleets (48 ships) have made their way near by the Panama, again not entering its waters but just stationing themselves outside of it. The NAF government strongly urges the Danubian Government, the Italian Government, and the Puertollanoan Government to attempt to resolve this via a peaceful conclusion, and offers to hold a peace conference in St. Louis.

Raid in Phnom Penh; war on holdouts and illegal weapons continue

ARVN special forces surrounded an apartment building in Phnom Penh yesterday in what was believed to be an anti-communist raid. A large supply of old Eastern Bloc weapons was taken out into the street and burned safely, while eighteen suspects were detained by the ARVN personnel. The French Indochinese Federation's Khmer Armed Forces were relegated to crowd control during the operation, with ARVN leading the efforts to actually conduct the raid. The suspects have been charged with treason, and are being investigated for links to the old Indochinese regimes. Despite these interesting developments and speculation, local media seem instead focused on the destruction of the guns found during the raid. Since the end of the Indochinese War troops from ARVN, the KAF, and the LAF have all been seen gathering up the leftover munitions from wars dating back in some cases in the 1960s. The fall of the Soviet Empire after the war in the 1980s in particular caused a major influx of black market weaponry to flow into South East Asia. The communist states of Indochina greatly benefited from these events, and as a result tens of thousands of weapons were stockpiled by the regimes. When the war against South Vietnam, France, and their various allies ended the weapons were required to be handed in by surrendering communists or be given up by anyone who found such weapons so that they could be destroyed. The French Indochinese Federation is believe to be spearheading this campaign to ensure that no former Khmer Rouge holdouts attempt to regain strength with the help of these black market guns, and is sparing no expense in the seizure of these weapons. By now it is estimated that only 15% of the pre-war stockpile remains unaccounted for, and several individuals attempting to commercialize the gun supply have also been arrested.

New dam projects in Laos complete - exporting power to Vietnam to boost Indochinese economy

The completion of several major hydroelectric generating facilities in Laos has been hailed as a historic achievement for the French Indochinese Federation - they now provide surplus power which can be exported to North Vietnam's regenerating industry. Vietnam as a whole has benefited from reunification in the Federation, with the South's economic policies and investment supplementing development in both horticulture and industry. The one black note on the economic story remains Cambodia; dependent upon regulated imports from South Vietnam and heavily central planned in order to prevent inequality from thriving during these early days of reconstruction. Cambodian markets remain heavily closed other than trade within the French Confederation, and this is unlikely to change for some time. One of the new administration's members was cited as saying that "Our state will not become some kind of neoliberal experiment. The failed policies of the regime will take time to replace, but they can only be replaced with solutions to the problems - not with economic amputation of our assets and public services."

Government Reacts to Cape Thetis

Following the incident off of Cape Thetis the Orbanis Government has issued this statement:

...The Government will remain out of any issues between European and South American Powers at the Cape, however, due to the recent actions be the ADE and their military forces in the region we will be cancelling their fleet order placed to JMU for a new fleet of warships. Other then this one issue, we will refrain from entering the conflict if one occurs. We have our utmost confidence in the North American Federation in resolving this issue between both parties and hope that peace can be achieved without the need for bloodshed.

Kiribati Approved

This morning the island nation of Kiribati was approved for entry into the Alliance of Pacific Nations. The Island nation is one of the most wide reaching in the Pacific, consisting of 33 Atoll islands spanning from the central Pacific from Longitude 170 East to Longitude 150 West, giving the APN its furthest eastern member nation. Like Micronesia and the Marshall Islands, Kiribati has a low population, failing infrastructure, and a low GDP. Plans to build up the nation with the Pacific Revival Plan are already underway and Pentaocean and Nippon Steel have started talks for heavy investment into the nation.

Image
Current Map of the Pacific and the Current Power Balance

With the recent addition of Taiwan and now Kiribati, the APN has grown into an organization that has a strong presence in the Far East and holds major sway over the Central Pacific. With the economic might of Japan and Taiwan paired with the underwater resources in the central Pacific Japan and the Orbanis Government have high hopes for the organization. However, other nations such as the Solomon Islands have been requesting entry into the organization and have been denied time and time again over the past month due their proximity to Australia. However, the APN is now considering their entry and are trying to find ways to include the Solomons into the APN without Australia viewing it as an aggressive move. More on this story as it develops.

Lancer Releases Technologies

With Lancer now made public, the military project is making many of its technologies available to the general public for the current submarine building industry and the deep sea development sector. These technologies include cavitation engines, improved underwater turbines, and habitation design to name a few. This seems to be following the Project's new transparency that was promised and the public has had mixed feelings about the sudden openness of the organization. Regardless companies like JMU and Pentaocean have jumped at the chance to increase their productivity and the stock market has shared their views, starting the day off with a steady rise in stock price.

Marina Militare Recalls Cape Thetis Fleet To Thetis Naval Base Over Fears of Accidental Engagement

Today the MoD announced that the Marina Militare is to recall the entire Cape Thetis fleet over fears that it could be accidentally engaged by the Puertollanoan navy. The Cape Thetis fleet consists of a variety of ships from fire-fighting patrol ships and minesweepers to Amphibious warfare ships and a Helicopter carrier and is usually split into 4 main groups, the first branch patrols territorial waters and the Cape Thetis EEZ, these are usually smaller ships such as the Sirio-Class patrol ship which is mainly there to respond to oil rig fires and intercept foreign fishing vessels, second is the South Atlantic branch which patrols the open ocean around the South Atlantic, third is the South Pacific branch which performs the same duties as the South Atlantic branch but in the South Pacific, and finally the Antarctic branch which patrols the antarctic and mainly enforces environmental laws catching waste dumping vessels and illegal fishing vessels. All of these branches have been recalled temporarily until tensions settle to avoid being possibly mistaken for ADE naval vessels. The MoD has said that land-based coastal defence TESEO missile batteries armed with Otomat surface to ship missiles shall be used to defend Cape Thetis' territorial waters whilst the coastal defence ships are stationed in Thetis Naval Base.

The two Mistral-Class LHD's of the Cape Thetis fleet were the last to return to Cape Thetis Naval Base: Image

The "spicy situation" as called by the Foreign Relations Minister for Egypt has resulted in support of neutrality, and mobilisation of the Falklands' forces and Ascension deploying hundreds of troops to the Falklands. This is the result of defence from any repercussions of war.

Puertollano begins production of AK-47s

To a large crowd in the outer-Bogota industrial districts, President Nicolo Castillo unveiled new factories for the production of the world-renowned Avtomat Kalashnikov 47. The State-Run factories will have a fully unionised work-force, and state of the art manufacturing facilities. Puertollano is the only legal nation to create the AK-47 apart from the Soviet Union, as the patent was given out during the times of the old USSR. Puertollano has only now re-started the guns reproduction in the country, and to the glee of the unemployed. Hundreds of new jobs are to be created with this initiative as soon as they begin on the production lines tomorrow morning. Castillo said: "The AK-47 is the weapon of the worker, we can all understand this fact. Liberation has been led with this weapon, and soon we will continue on with its legacy, liberating the people of the world from imperialism." This is a prelude to the upcoming regional elections in Puertollano, which will decide local councils and mayors.

New Israeli Reps welcomed. Is Zackaroth producing the AK-47 illegally?
Today, the new Israeli Representative arrived in Zackaroth to fulfill diplomatic duties between the two nations. The High Leader's office put out a brief note, welcoming the new representatives and hoping for the same, profitable relations the two nations have shared for many years.

In other news, some are questioning if the AK-47s produced by Zackaroth are legal. Since venturing into the arms industry, the AK-47 has been one of Zackaroth's most produced and a favorite for gun owners. However, recently Puertollano has also began producing its own stock of these weapons, claiming they hold a patent from the old USSR. However, with the old USSR destroyed during the war more then 20 years ago and many international organizations who handled such patents are gone or reformed, it leaves into question whether easily produced weapons like he AK-47 even need a patent to be created. The Austro-Danubian Empire

Image

Justice

District of Vienna, Austro-Danubian Capital Territory.
In the dead of night an inconspicuous military transport plane marked with the insignia of the Air Force of the Sixth Republic of France landed in Flughafen Wien, the Vienna International Airport. Three French soldiers believed to be a part of the French special forces unit dubbed "Napoleon" shuffled two figures who were blindfolded and handcuffed. The Frenchmen handled the two battered figures with an utmost lack of any respect, more-so pulling them along with them instead of guiding them to their destination. Two Austro-Danubian soldiers of the Royal Guard accompanied by a high ranking officer of the Royal Guard received the two prisoners, gave the Frenchmen their respective solutes, and went on their way. The Frenchmen bordered their plane and set for home.

It was soon announced via an Imperial Address that the greatest criminals in the existence of the Austro-Danubian Empire or the former Danubian Federation have been brought under the custody of the Empire, thanks to agents of New Metropolitan France. It was also announced that their deserved executions were scheduled for later that day. With no right of trial or any rights in the name of the law for that matter, the two were to be butchered like pigs after some evaluation.

The two worked with Albert Nowakowsky in the assassination of the late Empress Nicole I, Honorary Emperor Luca, the princesses Janina and Lena, and the prince Alexander. Their names are Adrian Lis, and Patryk Kowalski, like Nowakowsky they are of Polish origin. The Austro-Danubian investigative team took simple DNA tests of the two individuals and simply matched them to previously gathered records on the Worker's Front of Calindelo during the Calin Civil War. Perfect matches were found for the both of them as they were both members of the WFC at some point of the war effort. Although the team was never able to find on the ground evidence that the WFC staged the assassination, the fact that the killers were all Polish born and had ties to the WFC prove to be suspicious, perhaps validating the popular theory that the WFC conducted the attacks against the House of Habsburg-Lorraine in an attempt to bring it into war with the German Union. All of the evaluations made by the Austro-Danubian investigative team were released to the public soon after.

=-=-=-=

Later in the day, the two despised individuals were set on a quickly built stage in Rathausplatz, the city square of Vienna. The scene was broadcasted on national television throughout the nation, and international news teams such as TeleSur were permitted to record the events that were about to take place. The largest crowd in the history of the region formed in and around Rathausplatz to watch these historic events in person. Austro-Danubian Royal Guardsmen secured the stage and conducted operations of crowd control along with the Vienna Police Department (VPD).

The killers were set on their knees with their hands handcuffed behind their backs, and next to them stood the Emperor of the Austro-Danubian Empire himself, Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine. The Emperor paced the stage behind the murderers, brandishing a magnum revolver. He raised his right hand and showed his pistol to the crowd, and in a customary sign of respect, the crowd silenced itself. With a calm and fluent tone he gave a brief statement.
The two wretched things presented to you and I today are anything but human. They are directly responsible for the massacre of my sister and her family, children who had futures lined up in front of them. Today I will bring what little justice can be served in the name of the Empire, and although they should be doused in gasoline and burnt into crow-feed, I'll end their miserable existences myself. I do not enjoy killing, but Nicole and I's father always told us that the man who passes the sentence should carry out the justice himself.

The Emperor then aimed his pistol to heart of Lis, and pulled the trigger. He fell to the ground with a thud. Cheering seemed to be fluent with the blood oozing out of the twitching body's wound. He slowly walked in front of Kowalski and inflicted the same justice.

Upon the execution of the killers, the crowd grew silent. The silence carried out until a group of individuals began reciting the ancient phrase "Der Hirsch tanzt, egal wie der Wald." The stag prances, no matter the forest. Soon enough the entirety of the crowd was hysterically chanting the phrase in a deafening cry.
=-=-=-=

Although concrete evidence couldn't tie the WFC to the massacre of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine as previously mentioned, the sheer fact that all the perpetrators were of Polish decent and had ties to the WFC proved to be reason enough for the Austro-Danubian government to act accordingly.

It is reported that after the bodies of Lis and Kowalski were taken from the scene of the execution, they were taken straight to the morgue to have some final touches worked up on them. Their heads were removed by surgeons and were placed in boxes, they were then immediately shipped to Prague on an Austro-Danubian transport plane.

The bloody heads of the killers were to be sent to the president and government of the so called "Eastern European States of Poland" to serve a reminder to the Calin peoples that justice was ultimately served. A letter was sent with the two heads, stating the words from the execution, "Der Hirsch tanzt, egal wie der Wald."

The Austro-Danubian government hasn't made any announcements clarifying if this is a threat to the Polish government or not, but the fact that no statement saying it wasn't seems to point towards the former.

Espalsio offers classes to Castillo

After the recent violation of the Austro-Danubian waters by Puertollano, Esteban de Cortez called the south american state a "sick man of South America" after answering a question about the situation.

Cortez: "Once again, the world has witnessed how incompetent Castillo and his regime are. They still got some big guns left from their days as a part of Europe and what do they do with it? They continue harassing Europe with them. Perhaps instead of banning Spanish and their Spanish past, Castillo could attend some classes in one of our best universities in Portugal to learn how to rule a country. The government of Espalsio can even pay for his tuition! Because of his disastrous policies, Puertollano has become a sick man of Europe. He tried going to the Ottoman and Austro-Danubian empires, but he failed because no one wants him here or in power. So that is why Espalsio has taken money from its treasury so Castillo could finally learn about politics."
(upon the completion of the speech, the audience started clapping and laughing)

Puertollanoan Navy responds to NAF

The Puertollanoan Coast Guard has increased its patrols of the coastline by an additional 15% since the arrival of North American Federation naval forces in the surrounding sea of Puertollano. Attack submarines were sent to gain full recon on the massed American forces, they circled the navy vessels until told to return. The fleet stationed in the Chilean FSR returned to Puertollano stationing itself in the main port of the Colombian State. The Admiral of the Puertollanoan Navy has hit back at the NAF presence in the waters just off as "hyper aggressive" and an "unneeded display of bravado, no peace talks need to occur over a minor scuffle. We expected better conduct from NAF, however it has come to our realisation that they are as much provocateurs as Europe is". Puertollano has sent a diplomatic message to NAF, to turn the intimidating forces back, or see a major deterioration in North-South relationships.

Castillo: "Cortez is making a fool of himself"

Known rivals, President Castillo of Puertollano, and PM Cortez of Espalsio have hit out at each other once again, after Cortez made an inflammatory statement about the Puertollanoan President. Here is what Castillo said:

Whenever the Espalsian Prime Minister attacks Puertollano in interviews; I almost want to let his comments slide. Ethically, I cannot do that. A Leader that does not stand up for himself is a fool, and would you like to know who is the fool? After he accuses us of wiping Spain from our history, and I defend our sovereign rights, he keeps a quiet mouth. So, when Cortez pokes his head out again and makes an illogical proposition, he is really making a fool of himself. Puertollano no longer has association with Espalsio, we will keep it this way. I'm not going to associate myself with that clown of a man. Cortez is also a weak leader. His colony of North Argentina sits their idly as European imperialist rule is slowly being wiped out of South America, and he doesn't understand he is next! His colonial possessions are surrounded and the era of European conquest is at its end. I'm going to bet that in the coming years, Spain will be forced to govern Spain, and Spain only. For the record, Spain does not include Catalonia. Long live Catalan independence.

ADE's public execution; crime against civility!

Our European correspondent in the Austrian-Danubian "Empire" has the latest news on a public execution, personally committed by the Emperor.

Thank you Daniel. TeleSur news was personally invited to cover the footage of socialist liberators being publicly executed by the nations Emperor in the Austrian-Danubian "Empire" today. While we accepted the offer to be present for the unruly event, we refused to film the horrendous incident to protect the civility of our news broadcaster. There are some serious repercussions from this action, such as a possible hit-back from the Socialist Government in Poland. Puertollano has already diplomatically with a scathing response, saying that this action of corporal punishment "closely resembled that of the mass-murders of communists in Herpostan". The ADE claimed that those who were murdered on national television were the ones who perpetrated the assassination of the Empress, despite there already having been strong claims that it was a German Intelligence Officer, maybe an Intelligence Officer that had gone rogue. Still, without prosecution through the international court, the Polish men were murdered, decapitated and sent to Poland. We can only imagine the grief of the parents of those who died, their loved ones dismembered in a politically motivated attack on civility. This draws upon a large picture too, as to how aggressive the message was to Poland. Some analysts speculate this is a mere justification for future military advancements in Eastern Europe. If Orostan dismembered a German Soldier and sent it to the German Government, there would be the entirety of Europe up in arms. However if two Polish soldiers are killed and dismembered by the ADE and sent to Poland, it is somehow justifiable?

Rodgernomic Reforms
Image
The engine of the Australian economy now lies with the private citizen itself. Is there more in store?

MELBOURNE-The days for the government control on the market is finally numbered as the Legislature House had finally passed Legislature Act No.7810 Free Market Act, an act popularly fought by the idea of Rodgernomics among the more open-minded law makers. The act includes the privatization of most government controlled corporations by selling them to the highest bidders and allowing cooperatives to even make a bid. Regulations that have more or less restricted the incomes of many corporations are to be removed, excluding however those regulations set in the Green Belt Program.

After recent research has shown that most subsidies of the government were not that helpful in helping generate more profitable corporations and businesses, the government has taken the road to open free competition among the market. It is expected that many workers will find themselves jobless, around 2-3 Million, but it is predicted that as emerging companies take grasp, then expansion of these companies might as well need more workers, thus reducing the negative effects of shifting the economic strategy of the government. In part with this, the government will also aim to develop public-private partnership projects (4Ps) to usher in more reliable and helpful ways the new private owned corporations can give back to social services and community cooperation. Also to note that the government will undoubtedly need massive funds to cover all the social security payments of several laid off workers.

With the diversion of money from many huge subsidies, the government is expected to be able to save more than $450B, an amount which is staggering and very much useful to cover other parts of the budget such as education, health, police and social welfare. It is likely that $180B is to be spent on helping the laid off workers to find alternative means of income and finance before they are able to find new jobs.
The big public corporations of TransGen Inc and ACHEUS Military Services are not to be part of the LA No 7810, and will remain under government sponsorship and supervision as they are considered integral to national security. However, other successful government companies such as Qantas Airways, which is worth at around $25B, and Australia National Line, which is still under massive rebuilding, are being privatized to encourage business.

The standard of education is also to undergo massive reforms as the past curriculum of the education system was discovered to be flawed and only ushered spoon feeding of the students and corrupt use of the money. LA No.7810 will allow several government schools to adapt their own curriculum to usher competitiveness among various educational institutions which can garner more schools to teach their pupils more efficiently. The government will still however continue to allot massive budgets for the improvement of the system.
This sudden changes has also affected the political climate,as hardliners of the left are up in protest over the government majority over the case of such matters.

Philippine and Australia Relations
Image
Duterte, one of the most iconic national leaders in the Philippines , shakes the hand of Captain John Eathley of the KNS Adelaide

MANILA,PHILIPPINES- After 2 Helicarriers of the navy arrived in the Philippines for a goodwill visit, the current president, Rodrigo Duterte arrived to have a look around the ships and was obviously enthralled. The crew of the ship were happily accommodated and the ship's captain and the Filipino president exchanged gifts. This visit was more than a goodwill visit, as leaders and officials of the two countries have entered talks on discussing the formation of an organization to administer social, economic and military policies among member states. So far, the talks are yet to be given to the media, but signs of interest between two parties in forming such an organization are very much obvious. Details about this new council or league have been also heavily kept secret from the public and will only be released through government press conference.
case of such matters.

Australian investment in the South Pacific
Image
One of several water treatment facilities being constructed by the Australian government in the Solomons

BRISBANE- In light of the prosperity in Australia, and in accordance to a treaty with the French, the government has recently increased its foreign aid to nearby island country neighbors, first and foremost is the start of the construction of water treatment facilities in the Solomon group of islands,Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Palau and Tuvalu. The estimated worth of these water treatment facilities is around $10-$40M, and the project is to help the following countries to have a more reachable means of water at lower costs. Not only this but the project will not only aim of building key treatment facilities, but also assist in the construction of efficient irrigation systems, came about from ACHEUS R&D department, to help the mainly cash crop produce of the island nations, ultimately preserving the island rich ecodiversity while keeping stable progress and growth without investing into heavy industry which is not yet suited for such small island nations. This unexpected reach of help by Australia has helped win popular support from several governments in the said beneficiary nations, and with the coming influx of investment coming from the national government, due to the diverting of funds from subsidies, the number of helpful investments and opportunities for growth in the Southern Pacific is high and far-reaching.

Government Isolationism Policy in effect
Image
Australia firmly backs isolationism. Or is it just waiting for newer opportunities from conflict?

CANBERRA-The stance of the national government in the ongoing crisis in Europe and Latin America is to be neutral. The possibility of such conflict will result in a domino effect, for several corporations, investments and economic ties in the country are from every corner of the globe, including those possibly embroiled in several conflicts, notably the nations in South America.
After the takeover of the Italian government of New Bukarest, Australia had to order travel bans and sent naval assets to purposely assist Australian citizens studying or residing in the island. And as the tensions grow higher with exchange of words and mobilization, the fear of war is more than a final straw to the government acknowledging its neutrality.

Australian drastic economic policy changes
Exchange rates have been unsettling for Australian-British markets, seeing the mass laissez-faire economic strategies implemented in the socialist country. Inflation in the country is expected to rise significantly and help plunge the country into a GDP-tru recession, and maybe even a bust if they do not recover. Recovery will be difficult, however the British Empire's Parliament is hopeful that the country will be able to rise from the communist shackles and prove a competitive market leader in the Pacific.

Free Speech Act passed
A landmark victory for the Liberal Democrat government in parliament has allowed for the previous Hate Speech Act 1998 to be repealed. The former Labour law removal was met with much expected positive response from the public, regarding the Labour social laws "archaic and from a time of social repression." The Prime Minister stated that "Britain has once again proven to be a leader of the free world, without even a written constitution, showing how British cultural excellence has taken us this far."

Celebrations on the 4th of July to be removed from the Conservative government's "Imperial Terrorism Crime Registry"
The unpopular registry proposed and passed by the Conservative government in 1923 as an effort to quell anti-imperial rhetoric sees little enforcement in present times, and is another one of the many lost laws of Britain. The removal of this from the defunct registry was intended to be a olive branch towards the North American regions.

Wolves to be reintroduced to the countryside
After another unsuccessful culling of foxes in Britain and the banning of fox-hunting, it has been decided to reintroduce European wolves into the English "green and pleasant land."
While having received mixed responses, the Minister of Agriculture stated that "badgers, foxes, and feral dogs have proven to be an excellent disease spreader...[the Government's] policy is going to not just enrich the wildlife, but prevent the spread of such diseases to cattle, and keep animals out of cities due to overpopulation."

National Asylum Centre In Linosa To Be Shut Down After Evidence of Abuse and Mistreatment of Migrants- All 2,328 Asylum Seekers In Italy To Be Returned Home

Today the lid was blown off of about abuse and mistreatment of migrants at the National Asylum Centre on the remote island of Linosa. The National Asylum Centre is where all asylum seekers are sent in Italy. The large facility currently holds 2,328 migrants mainly from Nigeria and North Africa. After a TGCOM24 undercover investigation revealed the poor conditions and abuse that the asylum seekers experienced the government announced that the facility is to be shut down and all staff at the facility are to be dishonourably discharged and all 2,328 migrants are to be returned to their home countries. Most of the abuse that was captured by TGCOM24 is far too graphic to display- with footage of employees raping female migrants as well as virtually all migrants, including children, being whipped, beaten and having limbs forcefully broken and even guards castrating migrants in their cells and waterboarding them. Even more shockingly, the investigation revealed that the 433 residents of Linosa were actively involved in the torture and literally slavery of some migrants, guards at the asylum centre were filmed forcing migrants to work the olive plantations on behalf of the locals, with guards beating migrants who stopped working. The government has issued formal written apologies to all 2,328 migrants at the centre and financial reparations have been given to all migrants ranging from €40 to €200 for each migrant. It is thought that the centre may reopen by next year with renovated facilities and new strictly selected staff however until that happens the Italian government wont be accepting more than 200 asylum seekers as there are no spare facilities for larger numbers. The Italian government has also invited an international conglomerate of human rights lawyers to investigate the centre to see if the facilities provided meet human rights regulations- and if not the government has said that they will sue Atlantia®, the designers and builders of the centre.

Emperor Akihito Condemns ADE

Following the execution of two war criminals in the The Austro-Danubian Empire, the Imperial Family has issued this statement:

...the execution of these men on state television was nothing short of barbaric. While they are responsible for the death of the ADE's royal family, the method in which they were kill was no better then how the princess was murdered. This sort of execution is from the 1800's, a time when the world was chaotic and full of conflict. To Martin von Habsburg-Lorraine I say this: you are a monarch of the most storied dynasty in Europe, do not tarnish that name with act such as this. Due to this, the Imperial Family and the Chrysanthemum Throne have discussed this matter with the Government and are withdrawing all support for the Habsburg-Lorraine lineage. Japan and the APN will be closing the nations Exclusive Economic Zone to any travel by ADE military vessels and closing ports to ADE Trade vessels for the next three months as a result of this.

Observer States in the APN

Yesterday history was made as France became the first Observer Nation in the Alliance of Pacific Nations. With France having a large influence in the Pacific and the organization's goals being a lasting peace in the region, it comes to no surprise for many that France became the organization's first Observer Nation. This status does not make them a member of the APN, rather it allows the member nation economic and political benefits. Observer nations will not have a vote in the APN Assembly, but they will be allowed to voice their opinions and create motions during Assembly Meetings, allowing them influence without actually being part of the Alliance. In terms of economics there is a 20% reduction in Tariffs for Observer Nations and all APN waters, including territorial, are open to any ship traffic be it commercial or military. France and the APN have also worked out a deal allowing for the resupply of French Vessels in Chuuk,Yokohama, and the Marshall Islands in exchange for the resupply of APN vessels in French Polynesia

Talks with Australia

With Australia looking to create an organization in the South Pacific and the nation extending its influence across the South and Central Pacific, the APN has contacted Australia in hopes of preventing a conflict from arising due to a power struggle between Australia and the APN. While the government has not come out and stated what the proposed deal is it ranges from an agreement to keep military activity for both nations separated by the 10th Parallel to discussions on the APN Status of the Solomon Islands. There are also possible talks of the inclusion of Australia into the APN, but this is most likely a rumor. Regardless, with Australia now looking to flex its political muscles, Japan and the APN need to determine if this is just a political game to counter the growth of the APN, or if it is the start of a military faction that could threaten the peace of the Pacific.

PM Akbar approaches the podium outside his residency
BUDGET SURPLUS!

PM Akbar announced in front of his residency, next to the Minister of Finance that government revenue had exceeded expenditure. This means the government will have a surplus of funds at it's disposal. With unprecedented economic growth, and new revenue sources appearing everywhere, from oil, steel, new trade deals, the ICR, revenue had skyrocketed, even with some middle class tax cuts. Now, the amount of spending is below revenue, so the government will have extra money to spend. And no more money will be added to the debt this year. Right now the surplus is hovering about 500,000, but it is projected to go into the millions after a month or so. This is great news for the SDU government, which is seeking to battle off challenges from the UIC. Akbar's approval rating was detecting at 52% before the surplus was announced, and now a new poll puts it at 57%. Akbar is deliberating with cabinet about how to spend the newfound funds.
