Nikola Kovac, A Slovak national employed in a factory under "Polski Fabryki Mechaniczne Ind.", a shared subsidiary of Poland's Department Of Science & Technical Advancements & Department Of Commerce & Industry, was brutally arrested and detained, on December 6th. Before Nikola's arrest, he was badly injured while working with heavy equipment, this created a stir in the factory, as other workers stopped working to help the injured man, the supervisor of Nikola, Mr. Anton Czartoryski, accused Nikola on disrupting the workflow of the factory, Mr. Czartoryski then quickly called the police after Nikola refused to go back to work and asked to be escorted to the hospital. The police came with force, as they harshly arrested the Slovak man. He then received an "enforcment permitted Unspecified Detention without trial" when he was accused of assaulting the police officers that was taking him to the police station. Of course, this generated outcry from the Non - Polish ethnic groups, citizens then angrily ranted about the Pro-Polish socialist government in the interwebs, creating various hashtags, such as "#SpeirdalajPolska". One group then used this to advertise themselves.

The Fighters For Calin Equality, or the FFCE for short, was founded shortly after the inauguration of President Kraszanka. The Founder, Patrik Cudova, his family, and friends, experienced harassment from the Polish, and he believed in harmonious equality between the Czech, Polish, and Slovaks. Him and his friends and followers then created the FFCE to achieve this, they took up arms, but were unable to do anything due to their small numbers, thus, they used Social Media to preach their ideology. After Nikola Kovac's incident, they quickly criticized the government on Twitter.com, they quickly gained traction and exposure after their tweets gained 700,000 likes and 500,000 retweets on the course of 3 days. The FFCE then recruited 6,000 people, mostly from Slovakia, and received huge amounts of weapons and gear from the Czechoslovakian Mafia, and the Pro-Calin Austrian separatist groups. Meanwhile, it didn't end all well for the group, as a FFCE recruitment program in Košice was swiftly shut down by the Polish Secret Service (Formerly the CSA), resulting in 91 arrests.

Last november, a subordinate company of the Department of Warfare & Defense, "Polska Narodowa Zbrojownia i Zakłady Produkcji Broni" (Polish National Armory and Weapons Manufacturing Company) or PNZZPB for short, approached the government of the Southeast Asian nation of Indonesia, to offer the archipelago nation cheap instruments of war. After a month, the two countries have formally agreed, The Eastern European States of Poland shall sell four ZF-30 Attack Choppers (8.5 Million Dollars each), 320 crates of FB MSBS Assault Rifle (50 Thousand Dollars Per Crate Containing 100 Guns), 200 fully weaponized and armored Młot Multipurpose Vehicles (110 Thousand Dollars per unit,) and Three PT-91 Tanks (3.1 Million per tank), to the nation of Indonesia, for 37.8 Million Dollars. It looks like our nation is expanding their influence to weaker nations.

Day 1, Puertollano Armed Forces Parading in Puławska Street in Warsaw

For four days (December 15 - 19), CIS soldiers stationed in the Jaruzelski Military Base in the Błędów Desert will be parading across Warsaw according to their nationality. Four nations have agreed to be present on the parade, this include Poland, Puertollano, the FSR, and Pakistan. Each country will have one day to express their pride, power, and nationalism. The Armed Forces of Puertollano will come first, then the FSR, Pakistan, then finally, Poland. Kraszanka herself was present before the parade, she personally thanked the Puertollanoan forces for fighting for their country and expressing their pride of their country.

Meanwhile, Citizens of the Eastern European States of Poland receive a sigh of relief because the government of Poland declared December 15 - 25 a special non working holiday for Warsaw citizens and December 22 - 25 for the rest of the nation.

After the Polish Secret Service found out that the Pro-Calin Separatist groups from Austria were giving equipment and weapons to the Fighters For Calin Equality, the Secret Service quickly contacted the EGWRC forces and sent them to the Austrian - Czech border to intercept a deal between the two outlaw groups. The deal occured in the outskirts of the Czech city of Znojmo, around 50 kilometers away from Brno. The EGWRC quickly arrived with mercy, asking the two groups to stand down, the FFCE group stood down and surrendered, but agonizingly, the Austrian insurgents initiated a firefight. The Polish forces fought back fiercely with haste, eliminating 33 Austrian Terrorists and arresting 12. Interestingly, 4 of the FFCE members were "Shot and killed in the firefight by the Austrian Separatists". Sadly, around 20 - 30 Austrian Terrorists retreated and disappeared into the Austrian forests. The Polish Government quickly alerted the Austro-Danubian authority of the last known positions of the Austrian terrorists.

The arrested FFCE members were put into solitary confinement in Brno, while the Austrian Terrorists were transported into Lodz for Interrogation. The EGWRC forces promise to inform the Austro-Danubian authority newly acquired information from the interrogated terrorists.

The Warsaw Skyline After The Terrorist Attack

BREAKING: The 25th of December is a day for celebration, thus President Ntalia Kraszanka invited her political party, The Workers Front of Calindelo, to the Presidential Palace, along with powerful Polish families, and the commanding officers of the CIS Armed Forces stationed in Jaruzelski Military Base. All was well, people outside and inside the palace were celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, everyone was having a great time in Warsaw.

It all started on 9:02 PM, when at least 40 masked men arrived outside the Presidential Palace with 2 cube vans and 10 armored SUV's. The perpetrators quickly eliminated any resistance, as the police forces were caught by surprise. The perpetrators used the cube vans to bust through the gate, while the men with the armored suv's covered the street surrounding the building to fight incoming police and army forces. By this time, the people inside the palace was told to sit still inside, while SWAT or EGWRC forces came. 20 Minutes later, by 9:26 PM, the perpetrators finally unloaded the cargo from the box vans, which were I.E.D.s and Molotov Cocktails. The perpetrators used these explosives on the palace, dousing the location with fire and chaos, this caused mass hysteria inside the palace, and guests tried to escape the burning building, the escaping guests were then gunned down by the perpetrators. On 9:49 PM, the police are nearly occupying the area around the palace, which caused some panic to the attackers as they quickly packed and left the scene. Whilst leaving, the police managed to shoot and incapacitate 1 cube van and 8 armored vans, the 3 remaining vehicles was then tracked leaving the city through the A2 Autostrada, and created a high speed chase between the two parties, but unfortunately, the 3 vehicles managed to lose the authorities and the 3 vehicles were later found abandoned on the highway, with no trace of the remaining attackers. When the attackers left the palace, firefighters and the police entered the palace and lead the remaining conscious guests out the palace. Many members of the Workers Front of Calindelo and Security Personnel were killed, with over 90% of the deaths being smoke inhalation, However, President Kraszanka and the CIS commanding officers received the most protection and most survived unharmed, except for a Puertollanoan General leading the Puertollanoan troops stationed in the Jaruzelski Military Base. The general was unfortunately hit by a molotov whilst he was standing beside a window, his body was not recognizable because it was so charred beyond comprehension. The total fatality count is 232, which includes the 29 deceased perpetrators. Not one attacker was caught alive as most committed suicide before being apprehended. The Fighters For Calin Equality took responsibility for the attack, and stating that the Puertollanoan General deserved his death as he cooperated with "snakes" such as Kraszanka.

So far, over 237 fighters were succesfully built and shipped to the following countries: Australia, which bought 51 F/A-19S Stealth variant for its air fleet; Italy, with its ministry of defense successfully trading in their J-20 Stealh fighters for 90 F/A-19S Stealth variant, worth an estimated $ $10,849,500,000 dollars before trade in amount. The J-20s will be subject to further research and possibly be upgraded; North American Federation came in to buy 77 F/A-19's, 28 Stealh variants and 49 Naval Variants, worth more than $9,206,400,000 dollars. Lastly, but not the least, the Polish Air Force ordered for 20 F/A-19N Naval variants, with a check worth $2,380,000,000 dollars.

The resulting orders gave an estimated $28583.95 Billion dollars worth of sales revenue to ACHEUS, which was rendered as a major success for the company. This news spread across the business and trading world, and soon enough several local and foreign investors poured in millions upon millions of dollars worth of investments on the company, fund which will be used for Project Epyris and development of better military hardware for foreign and local users.

Sydney Harbor. 21 teams will set to battle in a fireworks competition here on December 31 to welcome 2019

SYDNEY- As the holiday season settled, millions of Australians hit the malls to buy gifts and food for the family occassions. Several outdoor concerts were held in Sydney and the Sydney Opera House lit with activity as the boardwalk was jam packed with tourist from across the globe having their vacations in Australia.

With the supposed entry of Australia to the Alliance of Pacific Nations, several once tight restrictions on tourist passports were liberalized, as a result hundreds of thousands of tourists from the APN member countries were able to enter Australia as fast as possible. Although most Australians chose to go to Puertollano to spend their vacations there, some returned home to join their families for Christmas Eve.

On December 31, a huge fireworks display competition over Sydney Harbor will happen as the country meets a new year, the year 2019. The fireworks display is said to be the greatest ever orchestrated, with over 21 teams registered to battle for the competition's prize worth $850,000 dollars over 1 hour. The expected fire works exhbition will be heavily televised worldwide through Avanroa News, undoubtedly putting an Australian mark as the year ends and a new year approaches.

Second Italian antarctic base opens, named 'Mario Zucchelli Station'

Today the government announced that a second Italian antarctic base has opened away from the Antarctic Peninsula in Oates Land near the Ross Ice Shelf to be used by the Italian scientists to study the earths atmosphere from the Antarctic, also setting up telescopes to study the universe from the light-pollution-free antarctic. Another project being undertaken by scientists at the station is the study of genetically modified plants to test the durability of specifically modified plants for harsh environments, by planting them in pots of soil outside the facility in the extreme conditions.

The base will be supplied by a second naval ice breaker which is smaller than ITS Fracasso, which supplies Umberto Nobile Station on the antarctic peninsula, due to the much smaller size of the Mario Zucchelli Station which will have a non-permanent population of 90 in summer and even less during winter, compared to the Umberto Nobile Station which supports 1,500+ in summer and 300+ in winter.

The government says that the second base has come at a fraction of the cost of the Umberto Nobile Station which attracted controversy at the time of completion over its extortionate cost. The government noted that scientists now have the ability to study the atmosphere and space from Mario Zucchelli Station and the antarctic oceans and ecosystems from Umberto Nobile Station giving scientists "Broad opportunities for innovative research and groundbreaking discoveries from the mysterious continent."

Fusion Power & Potential Changes in Space Policy
Interesting events have taken place recently within the scientific community of the N.A.F. The Pacifican Research Organization into Fusion Power, or just better known as P.R.O has announced that recent experiments utilizing a new highly-experimental reactor, have yielded "more positive results than previously done." The reactor utilizes high-temperature superconductors that allow for the creation of more smaller, but more powerful, magnetic fields. The experiment, done with massive collaboration from Canada and the Southern Federation, had resulted in the first-ever recorded positive-yield of fusion power.

Historically, fusion-power experiments have yielded a negative result. This basically means that it took more energy to cause the fusion reaction than the resulting energy released, or to put in more common terms, much like how a government might spend more than it receives annually causing a deficit.
The positive-yield produced though, was not noteworthy in terms of modern power-sources. The yield, though positive, could only really light up a small lamp for less than a minute, but nonetheless is a massive advance in the progress of fusion technology and the technology is showing more potential than ever before.
However, there of course are drawbacks to achieving this goal. For one, the cost to produce this positive-yield was more than the cost of one nuclear-reactor, and this was mainly due to it's power-source. Deuterium is the most abundant isotope of hydrogen on Earth and is composed of an Hydrogen atom + two neutrons. Deuterium is however, very ineffective when fusing with itself. D-D fusion on it's own requires a lot more pressure than when fusing with Tritium (another hydrogen isotope), and yields 68% or so less than D-T fusion. So, then of course the logical thing to do is just use D-T fusion, but here in lies another big hurdle; Tritium is not only rare, but is also unstable and radioactive and as a consequence decays relatively quickly. It's expensive to get, due to the rarity, and a hassle to use.
However the researchers at P.R.O and it's allied organizations, used another more interesting and "common" fusion-source. They used Helium-3 as a reactant for Deuterium, which is a better alternative to Tritium and operates similarly if not more better than Tritium. Helium-3 of course, is an isotope of Helium with three extra neutrons. Helium-3 however, is very expensive to get and was the main cost issue that faced the research effort. This is because it is, unlike what was previously implied, not common on Earth and is very rare. This then ties into the solution that they proposed for this, the moon.

See, Helium-3 is common, just not on Earth. Our beloved natural-satellite is full of Helium-3 due to it's constant exposure to the sun. This has lead to an interesting proposal that has seen support from not only just the people, but also central governments, and is now plaguing the Federal Government; the proposal states that the N.A.F should establish a mining-facility on the moon in order to gain access to the massive amount of Helium-3 on the moon. This moon-base could employ more people, stimulate the N.A.F economy, and more importantly, reduce the costs of helium-3 not just within the Federation but also globally. This could significantly improve the progress of Fusion power globally.
Of course the logistics of such a base is messy, but since there is little prestige in landing man back onto the moon, the proposal proposed that mining-base would not need actual astronauts, but in fact mining-drones and other unmanned vehicles, with some astronauts needed for maintenance and operating a method of easy back and forth travel from the moon and back.

The N.A.F has already made significant progress in such technology due it's Mars program and in truth a moon-base could see a form of advantage for said program as well as the future of space-travel. The Moon could be utilized as a launch pad for logistic ships and supplies to any manned operation on Mars or other planets. Many proposals throughout history have been made for such a thing, such as the moon-gun, which is basically a giant version of the Japanese space-gun but on the Moon. Though, a major drawback to this idea is that the Mars program would probably be gutted due to the costs of maintaining both. But, scientists from around the Federation and even those involved in the Mars program have stated that a moon-base would be more beneficial for the Federation as it could potentially be less-costly in the long run and given the new innovations in fusion power research, could potentially have a greater impact on Earth than compared to a Martian colony, of which has already been a logistical nightmare for the scientists involved. The Mars Program has made significant advances in designs, logistical ideas, gravitational technology blueprints, etc, but non of which have been tested. So, establishing a moon-base first can give the Federation much needed practice as well as advancements in technology before sending a man to Mars, which again is already a logistical nightmare as is. If we can get Man can survive on the Moon, then they could definitely get them survive on Mars. The Federal Congress is to discuss and vote on the matter later this week after delegates from the Federalist, Radical Progressive, and Hyper Democrats proposed a bill that is similar to the proposal by P.R.O, but contains much more detail on the procedures, goals, etc. If the bill passes, which it appears it should, more details will be released on this adjustment in Federal Space Policy.
Regardless, we can only hope that these events have opened a new horizon of scientific advancement and hopefully a fully operational fusion power reactor will be seen in the coming decades.

Antarctic Base "Julius von Payer Station" Officially Unveiled!

The Empire has recently unveiled that, following in the footsteps of their Italian brethren, an Imperial Antarctic base had been established on Deception Island in Antarctica -- just south of New Bucharest and Cape Thetis. The research base will be taking up a wide list of tasks that include but are not limited to studying the Earth's atmosphere from the Antarctic, conducting research on the wide array of unique natural processes that occur on the island, and working in the development of genetically modified plants that can survive unique climates in the world. Along with the normal array of scientists, an additional team of researchers and developers are regularly being transported from New Bucharest to the island, from where they will go to Krasendof and then the Empire's mainland in regular rotation.

Deception Island, where the station resides, serves as the caldera of a volcano. The natural springs of the island are host to hot water that are actually safe to bathe in regular swimming attire. These springs will serve as a morale boost to the researchers who will otherwise be living in harsh climates. The researchers of the Julius von Payer station will permanently live in New Bucharest, and will move back in forth as to not violate the Atlantic Treaty System.

The station is named after the famous Austrian arctic explorer, Julius von Payer, who led one of the most successful arctic voyages in history, ultimately discovering Franz-Josef Land over Russia.

New Bucharest Experiencing Exponential Growth!

The city of New Bucharest in Cape Thetis has experienced astonishing growth within the recent months. Thousands of Austrian citizens are flocking to the city as recently a large array of different jobs have opened up to the residents there. The reason for the recent boom in jobs is unknown, but they are officially coordinated by the Austro-Danubian Volkswehr under what is a top secret project. The population boost has lead to a variety of chain European (mainly Austrian) opening up within the settlement.

New Bucharest is now host to around 110,000 residents, the majority of them being Austrian. There is a large minority of Italians and Fregantese living in the city along with a substantial amount of Magellans who have moved there after the borders opened up. The work at New Bucharest is currently limited to Austrians, Italians, and Fregantese.

The population boom and opening of jobs in New Bucharest have also lead to a growth in the military base there, which now has a personnel of 10,000 active soldiers. Previously the settlement was regarded to have been structured around the military base there, but with the growth of infrastructure and jobs, it is becoming a functioning and self sustaining community in itself.

Austrian Students Hold Christmas Celebration off the Coast of Espalsio!

Members of perhaps the most popular student group within the Empire, the Alexandrian Youth (the youth supporters of the Upper Macedonia based "Macedonian Alexandrian Party"), have been reported to have scheduled a daring freedom of speech protest against what is seen as a corrupt and authoritarian Espalsian government. The students' plan involves using speedboats and pontoon boats they had previously rented and docked at the French coastal city of Portbou to sail to the bordering Espalsian province of Catalonia, more specifically off the port of Barcelona. Catalonia, the student group cites, is a hotbed of the tyrannies of the Espalsian government.

The thirty-five students that are taking part are all fresh out of Highschool, and all around 18-20 years old. Eighteen-year-old Pauline Griesenger, the youth expedition's leader, stated to news outlets that "Espalsio's public outlawing of the most celebrated Christian holiday in a nation of majority Christians is absurd and against everything a free and united Europe stands for. We Europeans are a mature people, and should be able to cope with the problems that living on one of the diverse regions on Earth merit. The Empire has long dealt with diversities regarding our various ethnic groups, but even so people at home are encouraged to speak whatever language they wish and worship whatever religion they choose." When asked if she thought the group would encounter any problems in their journey, she replied “Unless the Espalsian system of justice is completely and utterly broken, we will be home by New Year’s.” The student group also stated that they will be protesting in the name of the hundreds of thousands of Catalonians in support of independence who are too scared to speak up for fear of Espalsian tyranny.

So in the spirit that only a party of young boys and girl can possess, the thirty-five students (one of which was an Australian exchange student) embarked for Barcelona on Christmas Eve. They packed gigantic stereo speakers, fireworks, and placed Christmas trees on the pontoon boats. In the port of Barcelona, the students made their statement. Blasting a mix of both Christian and modern Christmas melodies from the speakers and launching a festive array of fireworks into the sky above the Mediterranean, the students began to celebrate. At one point in the celebration the students shot off red and yellow fireworks and Catalonian independence folk songs began to play from the speakers.

Poess Family Rescued, East Timor situation growing badly

DILI- While the rest of the world celebrated the coming of the new year, Australian Special forces were tasked for a daring rescue operation,codenamed Whisky Heat, a mission on successfully releasing the Poess family from over 1 month of being held in captivity. For weeks following their abduction, satellite trackers were able to track the family's whereabouts in the tiny nation using one of the Poess children's electronic phones still in use. The operation involved ANS Imperial, a Grand-class frigate, although RHIB boats had to be used to further reach the coast to avoid alerting the pirates holding the family. 6 members of the SAS were part of the rescue mission that was set to happen on early morning of 2019.

As the clocks in the southern tip of East Timor switched to 12:00 midnight, the force swam nearly 200 m from their RHIB off the coast. The operation lasted for approximately 10 minutes, in which the operatives successfully retrieved the family and extracted them out off the beach. However, sporadic shooting ensued on the beach when the RHIB boat arrived, alerting the pirate's watchmen. The family was able to reach the Imperial safely and were quickly led to the medical bay for treatment.

During the return trip of the RHIB boat to the beach, the Imperial kept communication contact with the SAS team, with the SAS team completely being surrounded with their backs to the beach. The SAS squad leader, Brand Chules, was wounded and had to be dragged by his fellow soldiers to knee-high water on the beach as they slowly lost ground to the East Timorese pirates.

Approximately 30 minutes after the operation started, the SAS team was extracted by the RHIB boat with just 1 casualty. The operation was reported as a success.

The Poess family was successfully rescued and were given medical treatment, the family expressed gratitude to the crew of the ship, and once the SAS team arrived, exchanged hugs and kisses. BOGOTA- After successfully reaching the World Cup Semi-finals after a remarkable performance versus the Andean team, their practice has gotten more and more hard and complex. Mourinho recently gave a quick short interview to the media of what the team is focusing on their practice as of late:

All's fine and well, the team is doing well with the set plays and gym training. Ah yes. We've given our offense and defense the same attention, 200% I would say. I'd already made them run some counter-attack drills, some shooting techniques, and also created some much needed improvement in the accuracy of our corner kickers. For defense, haha, ill just tell you the general ones ok? We created some drills such as press plays, piggies and goalkeeping practice for Matthews, we were focusing on improving our defenders' marking, position and tackling style as well as reflex training for the goalkeepers. Nope, the team wasnt allowed to party during New Year's Eve. Yes, they were running physical and mental drills, some warm-ups, stretches, sprinting and carioca. This is not just about offense and defense, this is also keeping our guy's emotions, their anxieties and stress from getting on them during our games, as much as possible we would like them to be confident in the field and on the plays we make them run ,and to not get frustrated when certain situations happen.

Before the start of training camp we also gave the time to let them watch some of the clips of their past games as well as that of the Magellan Republic. Spotted some certain mistakes on our side such as not being able to hold the ball long in possession. We were able to address this issues during the following training week . They also highlighted some key weaknesses on the Magellan side and the strengths the opposing them were employing that they could exploit and sabotage. Yes, yes. We will be ready..220% hahaha.Thank you. Go Socceroos!

A New Antartic Base!

The design of a single unit

The Fregantese Government announced the opening of the second Antarctic base, which created a wave of excitement across the nation. According to the records, the materials needed to build the base were transported to the Fregantese Trade and Research Port, during November 2018, assembled there, and then transported to its current location: Thurston Island.

The new base isn’t fixated on a certain location, and can be moved to other locations thanks Tom its skis. The base consists of 4 units, and each unit contains a library, a cafeteria, a research quarters and a sleeping quarters. Also, the base is equipped with the necessary devices to be able to communicate with the Empire at any time.

Currently, a crew of 140 people are working the base: 40 Scientists (biologists, physicists, meteorologists and astronomers), 60 engineers and 40 workers with special training. These pioneers are to enrich and increase the Fregantese scientific output, and unravel the mysteries of the frozen continent.

Chancellorship Elections are Over!

The long awaited results of the Chancellorship Elections finally came: Jacques-Martin Fleuchaim obtained a massive victory, with an astounding 65%!

Unlike many other politicians would do, Fleuchaim didn’t make a speech. He simply said: “From now on, actions are of importance. Nullius in verba.”. Then, he submitted a new imperial reorganisation proposal to the Senate, which passed with minimal opposition. The proposal included many things, but most importantly, it pushed for the revitalisation of the Mirai Organisation, an organisation founded by the Emperor Fregantes himself. The thing is, all data regarding the organisation is outdated, and there isn’t much data to begin with.

Nevertheless, Athens celebrates its new Chancellor, who was wearing his pajamas and robe de chambre during his declaration of new Chancellor and during the submission of his proposal to the Senate.

- The renovation of the Curia Julia for use as the Senate of the United Roman Triumvirate should soon be completed, with debate over the use of electronic voting or by a show of hands among Senators. The debate over electronic voting has also raised the issue of cybersecurity within the Curia Julia and whether it should become an 'internet free zone', with internet access only given to research and bureaucratic offices further down the road from the Curia Julia.
- The 'Senatorial Committee of International Diplomacy' is to established to amend and add evidence to draft bills proposed to the Senate regarding international diplomacy and the implementation of sanctions. The committee will be based in the offices of the URT Senate further down the road as the Curia Julia only has space for the debating room itself. The committee has said that it is "dedicated to keeping the individual federal representation of the Fregantese Empire, Austro-Danubian Empire and 2nd Italian Republic within the DEU assembly, to ensure that issues only faced by the individual federal governments and not overlooked by a single URT representative which would act agaisnt the DEU's ideals of representation and democracy."
- Senator salaries proposed at Ā118,627 per year along with and extra Ā25,284 per year for general expenses. The salary of Senators is currently set at Ā100,000 per year with no money for general expenses until official salaries are published in a draft bill from the 'Senatorial Fiscal Committee'. The proposed salaries have been calculated by taking the mean salary of MP's from Italy, the ADE and the Fregantese Empire to give a salary that is appropriate for representatives from all three nations under the URT. General expenses have been calculated in the same manner.

Part 2

- MCG Trading Embassies are ready to expand beyond the borders of the URT. The project is fully operational within the URT and the existing URT network should be able to absorbe and integrate data from the entirety of Mediterranean and Europe. With the permission of the Roman Senate, the MCG executive committee is ready to negotiate with France, Espalsio, Libya, Bulgaria, Germanic Union and Zackaroth.
Update: The negotiations are to commence immediately.
- The switch to the common currency of Aureus must take place. The respective economies are compatible, if not integral, by now. It is assumed that there won’t be any problems. Indeed, the currency rate of Aureus shouldn’t be deflated or hyperinflated. Since a currency conversion is a period of natural unpredictability, it isn’t desired to lose capital more than tolerable.
Update: The switch took place, and no major problems took place.

Hi there everyone, it's Martin Tyler and Alan Smith here with the results of the Quarter Finals of World Cup Puertollano.

We only have two matches to discuss, and matches they were. I'd like to take a moment to congratulate all the teams that have made it this far in the Cup Australia, Austria, Italy, and the Magellan Republic, you, and everyone who has made any sort of names for themselves in this tournament for that matter, should be insanely proud of yourselves. These are teams of varying talent, and all I've got to say is that at this point every single one of the teams remaining deserve to take that Cup home.

But sadly Alan, only one team can do just that, and very recently our four finalists have become two.

Indeed. Let's get into the games shall we?

In our first exemplary display of football, Australia and the Magellan Republic squared it off in a close and riveting game. This was a match between the fan-favourite underdog Australians whose stellar coaching is to be thanked for bringing them this far, and the controversial but passionate Magellans who recently defeated their North Argentinian adversaries in one of the most eventful football games in the history of the sport. The whistle blew to a wet and stormy day, with downpours making the fields muddy and slick. Possession for the opening parts of the game was fairly even with the Magellans leading a slight advantage. Around halfway through the first half, a Magellan offense was able to run the ball down the sideline and cross one in for a header that met the Australian net. Both Australians and Magellans interchanged shots on the goal from there, but by the time it was half-time the Magellans had led 1-0. The second half showed more or less the same effort from both teams as they had the first half, and that is to say they put everything that they had in them onto the field. The Magellan striker was leading a breakaway down the Australian third, but with a quick slide from an Australian defender the ball had slid away from the offense and into the hand of the counter-attack. The Australian response was swift and brutal: with a couple passes down the field and a lob over the Magellan defense, Australia's defense scored on the Magellan keeper. The score was now 1-1. There was now ten minutes left in the game, and the clock was waning. The Magellans served their kick-off after their goal only for the Australians to intercept it immediately, dribbling the ball up the field the two Australian strikers took turns with possession with the ball until they were once again in front of the Magellan keeper. One of the strikers drilled the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal only to have it caught by a puddle caused by an indent in the field that was caused by one of the keeper's previous dives. The ball stopped in its tracks on the water, giving the Magellan defense time to clear it from harm. Only a few minute later, the Magellans were able to score their second and final goal on the Australians. The game ended at 2-1 with a Magellan victory. When the final whistle blew, Magellan fans cheered fanatically as anyone would if their country made the final of the world cup. The Australians were good sports and wished the Magellans luck, but nothing could hide the ultimate disappointment of losing so close to the final. Congratulations to the Magellan Republic for making history and reaching the final of the World Cup!

Our final game of the Quarter Finals was between the Austro-Danubian Empire and Italy. This one was just a tear-jerking and stellar example of everything a football match should be, as these nations are as brothers to each other. The crowd in this one cheered both teams on almost equally, and the jovial spirit was one of true World Cup attitude. Austrian, Italian, and Roman flags flew throughout the stadium, Austrian beer and schnitzel was served alongside Italian gelato and pizzas, and the match began with good faith for both sides. The first half of the game remained scoreless with possession being split in half exactly 50-50 percent. The game took place a day after the previous, so the fields were muddy and wet but thankfully there was no rain. Austrian attacks were responded with Italian counter-attacks and so on, and by half-time there was no telling who would come out on top. The second half began and it ultimately played out much like the first. With twenty minutes left in the game, the Italian offense was able to score a lucky goal off of a bit of a controversial foul, putting them ahead 1-0. The Austrians would never return the favour to the Italians in the form of a goal, so in the end the Italians won and would be the ones moving onto the final. Both Austrians and Italians cheered on the "Blues" as they marched off the field in the arms of their Austrian brethren, and at the end of the day the match saw no bad blood. Congratulations to Italy as they go to square off the Magellan Republic in the final of the World Cup!

President and Prime Minister visit Indochina

With the start of a new year at hand, both the head of state and head of government of the Sixth Republic have visited the French Indochinese Federation. Landing in Saigon, the two politicians were met with a warm welcome from the population; having been an overseas dominion with a fully functioning democratic system since the late 1950s, the state has long had a large pro-European sentiment and influence. After a large gathering in which representatives from all of the South's commerce, government, and community groups met to discuss issues of key importance, PM Lamar took the train to the Northern capitol of Hanoi, speaking with locals on their journey. Having been only reunified in 2015 by a Republic offensive, there was a stark difference in attitudes towards the Prime Minister and President. While overall the population was supportive of the Indochinese Federation which had allowed for the toppling of the old regime and reunification with the South after decades of separation, more strongly held mercantile politics remain the majority in their local government. Despite their ideological differences, Lamar met with the leaders of the local opposition and government to arrange new infrastructure development and more funding for education. This broke a deadlock of four weeks of dialogue between urban and rural groups, and so was a major success in terms of Northern domestic politics.

Meanwhile, President Dutoit arrived in Cambodia. The lingering signs of the horrors conducted by the genocidal regime were evident to all. While attending a ceremony to commemorate the sacrifices of ARVN forces during one of the opening border attacks during the invasion the President was seen being visibly distressed, and met with both survivors of the regime's tyrannical rule and of the war veterans.

Minor protest in Sfax escalates drastically

A minor protest of around 233-245 people took place outside a supermarket along Route Saltnia in a tight crowd around today 5:30 PM during rush hour consisting mostly of communist separatist's who disagreed with the current Imperials Government and want freedom for Tunisia now that the government is no longer what they looked up to and admired. Although the minority among the Tunisian government the minority is large enough to pose a serious threat if radicalized, making up just about 24% of the Tunisian population and 13% of the Libyan population.

During the Sfax protest which for the most part was very pacifist until a man broke the (Who will not be named among the public) for unknown reasons brought a Molotov to the protest which not only made things drastically more serious for on duty officers watching out for troublemakers among the protesters as well as aggravated many of the protesters hoping to keep things non aggressive. When officers tried to detain the man for questioning and to ensure crown safety he proceeded to smash the Molotov against the hip of one of the officers setting him on fire and causing another near by to use lethal force.

After shot's were fired people in the back of the protest unable to see what happened at first and only hearing gun shot's went into a frenzy (Distrust and hate aimed towards police officers has become a dangerous trend among the nations of America and Europe/North Africa for some years now) later resulting in two more officers being injured and the mass confusion among officers and protesters that followed resulted in riot police being called in, (As things got more confusing and hectic more people started showing up to see what was going on.) when Riot police arrived the protesters (About 83% of them in estimation) who were not at the very front to see how things started assumed the Riot police were hostile with the intention to suppress the Protesters (Wich protesters themselves started thinking the other protesters were now rioting) the chain reaction that followed was the Riot police then opening fire with rubber bullets trying to scatter the protest and secure the area (terrible idea who the hell thought that would work?) as people started being hit by rubber bullets (Could easily be mistaken for live fire) the protest became a full scale riot that (In rush hour was hard to tell difference between rioters or people in a hurry to get somewhere they need to be) started growing greatly in size until it reached up to almost 1.5 thousand estimated people by the time the Riot started calming down and proper arrests were made.

SYDNEY- Over 75,000 people flocked at the Stadium Australia to witness the A-League Premier Cup. After a rather eventful month of World Cup frenzy, the Australian A League Cup Finals had to be postponed to give way for club players selected for the national pool to play for the national team Socceroos. After weeks of waiting and resting, the Cup Finals was underway between arch rivals Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory, who were meeting for a cup rematch from the last Premier Cup FInals.

The match started with the usual cheers and songs of the Australian crowds. Sydney FC were the favorites to win the Premier Cup and they made up to that expectation on the 27th minute mark as Fabio Ferreira sunk a free kick on the left corner of the goal. However, 18 minutes later Josh Hope was able to slip past the Sydney Defense and lay an assist for fellow forward Austin to head the ball to the goal post. A sudden counterattack by Sydney was able to pull them ahead 2-1 by halftime.

Beginning at half time, Melbourne midfielder James Troisi was given a yellow card for a physical tackle on Paulo Retre. The Melbourne offensive quickly stalled after the call as they quickly found themselves easily losing possession of the ball as Syndey FC completely pushed across the to the Melbourne half. A goal from Joshua Brillante put the ending score at 3-1.

The win made Sydney FC as A-League Premiers for the 2nd consecutive time. MVP honors were given to Fabio Ferreira who ended the season with 7 goals and 3 assists. The A-League Premier Cup Finals officialy ended the 2018-2019 A-League Season and the start of the offseason and free agency.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES- The government of the Philippines and Australia, represented by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull recently agreed to several trade and economic development agreements.The agreements made were to help facilitate ushering the Philippines key economic growth ,provide educational services and infrastructure projects for the communities and help spread inter cultural interactions through immersion programs in the following provinces of Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Palawan and Pangasinan, which according to some were chosen due to their strategic value. The deals are said to have reached $5 billion dollars, not including the new TransGen shipyards that will be opened in Pangasinan and Palawan.

The deals also saw the Philippine government give its permission for Australian oil company, Carnarvon Petroleum Ltd to explore and scan the Palawan continental shelf for natural gas and oil reserves. There have also been reports that the island of Balabac in southern Palawan Island may have been leased to the Australian government, although it is speculation.

The Australian government is seeing that these investments and cultural immersion will further strengthen Philippine and Australian relations. The two countries have even agreed on conducting military exercises in the near future.

Legislature House passes Fitness Act

Over 400 gyms, sports complexes and arenas will be given brand new fitness equipment for Australian to work out on

CANBERRA- In an effort to stamp out problems of obesity and other health problems, the Legislature House recently passed the bill to call for a national fitness program.

The bill, Bill 4417 or the National Fitness Act of 2019, sees to it that all Australians will be able to do 12 hours of fitness exercise in every 2 weeks every year in government sponsored gyms and fitness centers, most notably F45 Training Gyms, that will host a several new fitness equipment. Those who fail to complete 12 hours of fitness exercise will result to detention for 4 days and a fine of $1800. Citizens over the age of 65 are exempted from such an act, although it is encouraged.

This act comes after government survey revealed that 63.4% of adults in Australia being overweight and 28.1% of those are obese. The government also included in the bill that restaurants should put the number of calories there in their menus and that these restaurants must include in their menus low calorie foods, vegetables and ion energy drinks. The government also put the clause to ban smoking and drinking alcoholin public areas, and will only be allowed in private areas.

The bill is expected to help reduce the obesity rates as well as the health problems many Australians get due to this bad health practices. Although rather authoritarian and civil controlling, the bill was passed with unanimous support from the Australian states for it to proceed into the last reading. A referendum of 3000 people from each state was conducted, and 88% supported the passing of such kind of bill.

Many smoke and alcoholic beverage companies were however against such a bill passing, stating that such bill gravely hurts their economic sector. This, as said by the Australian Federal Police, will result to a 40% spike in crimes and illegal acts which the AFP has already prepared for.

Andea Passes 'Health Act'

Australia recently passed the Fitness Act which added a sleuth of health & fitness regulations to the country. Surprisingly, not long after that, Andea, one of the member states of the FSR decided to jump on the fitness bandwagon. Hours after the Fitness Act came to fruition, a representative in Andea's main legislative body the National Assembly put forward a suspiciously similar bill to that of Australia's dubbed the Health Act. After some debate, the National Assembly approved the bill. However, soon after that an Andean citizen Abril Cortés got her 15 minutes of fame after she successfully managed to assemble the Popular Assembly to vote on whether to veto the National Assembly's decision. However, in the end, the attempt to veto the bill failed.

Andea's decision wasn't completely unprecedented. About a month ago it's Popular Assembly passed a tax on sugar. However, few experts believed that it would be enough to curb's Andea's growing obesity problem, where 58% of the adult populace is either overweight or obese. The Health Act, however, probably will have a much greater effect.

Under the new bill, the government would work with non-profit fitness cooperatives across the country to help ensure universal access to all Andeans. As the new bill passes into effect, all Andeans starting from the 7th grade would be expected to exercise at least half an hour a day, however, doctors would be allowed to assign people 'treatments' of working out at least for an hour or hour and a half per day. Those who do sports or another physical activity will have their hours there count as well. Under the new law, anybody who fails to meet their daily obligations would be allowed to make up their lost hours on another day, but repeated violations of the policy would result in daily fines which would keep increasing incrementally by $10 till they start fulfilling their requirements or the person was judged to no longer be capable of having a 'suitable' disposable income in which case the fines would lower to mantain around that level. However, the potential fines won't reset back to $0 after a person starts to exercise again, instead, the potential fine a person could get would decrease for $5 per day for each daily consecutive workout followed. Also, deferrals can be granted for medical and personal issues. Also, each Andean would annually get days which they can go without working out. These days are stockpile which means that if somebody chooses to not use all their days in a year they can be saved for later. After the age of 75, the minimum required hours will be lowered to 20 minutes per day. The Andean Ministry of Health justified this by saying that studies have shown that exercise helps prevent many problems associated with aging. However, less intensive physical activities will be created for the elderly to cope with their needs.

Also under the new law, schools would be required to serve healthy and freshly cooked meals to students. For a while, many Andeans have rallied against "junk food" which schools served but few imagined that the change would be so drastic. Many students have come out in favor of this resolution, as the old school food was heavily detested. An Andean high school student complained a lot about her school lunches, "Everything was microwaved or heated up, and the food was bad in general. Oftentimes I would throw away most of the tray, as it was just that bad. I thought that all school lunches were like that, but then I saw on the internet of how school lunches in France are and it really puts ours to shame. " The student kept rambling on and on, and eventually the reporter had to interrupt her to continue gathering other interviews. However, school PTAs soon came out asking regarding the issue of bake sells. After an hour-long debate in the National Assembly, it was decided that bake sales would not be banned but advised them to not do it too often. However, schools would be prohibited from selling 'unhealthy' items otherwise. Each school will be allowed to adapt to the change independently. Some already have been setting up programs which teach students how to cook which will use to help make the school lunches.

Schools would also be required to amp up their physical education courses to help keep students in shape. Thus PE classes will also count as hours, which means that most students won't be obligated to work out outside of school lest they get a referral from a doctor. The School Board has presented an ambitious plan on the matter, presenting a split from the standardized exercise courses to more flexible ones, with topics such as yoga to soccer to self-defense and more being presented. However, even the School Board has been forced to admit that such plans could take a while to implement successfully. In the meanwhile, some local schools have opted to cooperate with local fitness centers which opted to cooperate with the Andean government.

Similarly to Australia, all restaurants, fast-food chains, bars, and other similar services which sell food or drinks would be required by law to list the number of calories in each item in their menu. This was a heavily debated topic in the National Assembly, as some saw it as possibly deterring business. However, in the end, a representative convinced most of the assembly to vote in favor of it after arguing that consumers had a right to know what they were eating or drinking. Also, public smoking and consumptions of recreational drugs were banned and are punishable by a fine, on the grounds that involuntary second-hand consumption violates the other person's right to integrity.

Some Andeans have denounced the bill as authoritarian, but according to a poll conducted by the popular Andean newspaper "El Comercio," most of the populace believes that the obesity problem has gone out of hand in the country and that drastic measures are necessary. A small group of political advocates has urged the rest of the FSR to adopt similar measures, saying that it's in imperious to combat the growing threat of obesity.

CANBERRA - After several weeks of discussions within the federal territory of Canberra, the Cabinet of the Prime Minister finally released its budget plans for the government year 2019-2020 to the general public before proceeding to the Legislature House the House's decisions.

The proposed government budget of $830 billion dollars is two times that of the 2018-2019 budget which was at the $457 billion mark. The increased expenditure power of the government is a result of good quality decisions on local and abroad investments; trade agreements with other countries, notably the APN's trade clauses that provided lesser tariffs for exports and imports; public corporations proving to be income generators, payment loans and transactions from abroad and the efficient spending of the budget for the fiscal year 2018-2019, which saw more than $780 million saved for the government savings.

The sector with the highest allocation of funds was for the corporate subsidies the government had given at $132.488B billion or 16% of the total budget. However this budget may be revised by the Legislature House, as the House has recently stated that a new economic bill which includes privatization of all state and public corporations, the transition to a liberal market economy and the encouragement of a free market and a more open economy for investors, will soon be passed in the House in the near future. This in turn might see this allocation for corporate subsidies go down to a mere 3% of the total budget.

The next highest allocation of funds is for Research&Development at $120.93 billion. Most of these funds will go to the development of better and power efficient technology that includes the upgrading of major Australian cities to house powerful smart technology, which itself will be facilitated by ARGUS CyberSecurity and ACHEUS Corporation. Helios III will also see more funds coming its way as the government will see to it that the country will rely less on fossil fuels, be able to construct new renewable energy plants, research on green waste management, continue its development of small electric use appliances and the government program to finish developing its Project Zeus laser weapons program, which is expected to finish its second phase by April after starting in October.

The 3rd highest budget is for Social Security and welfare at about $120 billion dollars. The budget is allocated to the continuation of many government programs aimed to help communities and provide equal opportunities and benefits for all Australians. However, this budget may soon a decrease according to sources from the Legislature House, with the House aiming to develop economically serving social services that will help both country and citizen mutually through superannuation

The education budget comes next, followed by the defense budget, health, transportation, public order and etc.

The Cabinet budget also gave the public the total revenue and operating money the government was able to acquire for fiscal year 2018-2019, with the total Australian revenue and operating money at an astonishing $927 billion dollars. Most of the income generated was from Australian exports in manufacturing, agriculture, mining and military hardware which gave more than $400 billion dollars, with China accounting for 39% of all Australian exports, with China heavily importing heavy machinery, natural minerals, steel, electronics, and agricultural products for its reconstructing programs. It is to be seen that most Australian investment also goes to China, with Australian corporations and individuals putting millions of dollars in building new factories, shipyards, farms and electric power plants,leading to $119 billion dollars of Australian investments into China.

This was followed by government taxes from citizens, product taxes and corporations in the country at $273 billion dollars an increase of 32% from last year. The next major portion comes from private investments from local and foreign individuals/corporation and foreign governments who shelved in $106 billion dollars.The remaining revenue came from other sources of revenue such as fees, licenses and permits as well as several miscellaneous agreements between countries such as loan repayments and abroad dividends of AusGroup holdings.

Helios III tests Zeus prototype

With the ADF using more unmanned vehicles, recon purpose drones of the Air Force might soon be equipped with Zeus

HOBART - Although months away from being completely finished, a Zeus prototype, (Zeus Aerial Variant Laser Weapons System) ZAV-LWS ,was successfully fitted on a F/A-19S Falcon Fighter Jet for a test trial of the new military laser weapon. The F/A-19S was sent 230km south of Hobart with accompanying 3 Grand-class ships that hosted leaders of the Australian Defense Force and Helios III.

The F/A-19S was tasked to destroy an a unmanned 500-ton cargo ship left in the ocean 10 km away from the nearest Naval frigate and then would try to destroy 3 UAV drones of varying sizes in the sky.

The Falcon's pilot, Squadron leader Harrison L. Kingstown, was chosen due to his number of flight hours and experience as well as him passing tests to fly the supersonic fighter jet. The 37-year old Air Force service member described his selection as a proud moment of his life. His family was also invited to witness the test.

At 1103, the F/A-19S Falcon left its airbase in South Bruny on Bruny Island Tasmania. 11 minutes later, the ANS Marden Hill reported visual of Kingstown's jet. The F/A-19S kept constant contact with the ship's bridge as well as with the Helios III personnel. At 1139, the Falcon opened fired with the ZAV-LWS on the 500-ton cargo ship. The succeeding events were not publicly disclosed although amateur video from one of the ships,supposedly from the ANS Bloastion, captured the cargo ship sinking, with the conclusion that the test showed that the Zeus prototype is hitting targets on the ground from the air, although it is still unknown at which height the F/A-19S was when it fired its ZAV-LWS.

The proceeding test on the drones of varying sizes are entirely classified as no information about it has been publicly stated, and that all attendees and witnesses have been reportedly ordered to not disclose any information due to national security.

Project Zeus of Helios III will finish its second phase by April. The project goals have long been stated in the past as to provide a new economically efficient weapon for the Australian Defence Force for national security. Helios III has also stated that Zeus will have 3 variants, a naval variant, a fighter variant and an artillery variant for missiles defense systems. It is heavily speculated that Zeus may have 2 additional variants that are being developed as well.

Congress Approves Space Policy Change
After days of continuous discussion and "meticulous over-detailed planning" (as stated by delegate Henry Benedict), the North American congress has approved the "Moon Base" proposal. The proposal will see the Mars Project temporarily suspended and the reprioritization of the Federal Space Agency towards the moon and the development of a "Moon research & Mining facility." The Mar's project efforts however, will not go to waste. Since its inception during the Commonwealth-era, it has made many significant advances in space-engineering and have formalized more developed theories and ideas on how to achieve a Martian research station, the most famous being "the Mothership", of which is a massive space-ship/station that would use linear-acceleration (when traveling) as well as rotational (when in orbit or emergency) modes of artificial gravity and act as an orbital hub for scientists to cycle to and from the martian surface during their stay. That way astronauts and researchers will limit their exposure to both radiation from the sun as well as the low-surface gravity of Mars.
Such a ship however would still need to be tested as well as the many other colonial ideas the Mar's project as developed, and their best testing ground is Earth's one and only moon. The Moon is constantly exposed to some degree of solar-radiation and is sometimes directly hit by solar-storms, of which are generally harmless on Earth due to it's magnetosphere, but are extremely deadly when on the Moon. If the Federal Space Agency can establish a proper and safe Lunar-facility, then it could definitely do the same on Mars. The Lunar-base wouldn't just be a massive test, it will also serve as a mining facility to extract Helium-3 from the Lunar-surface. Helium-3 is all over the Moon's surface and is very abundant. By having a direct source of Helium-3, the N.A.F and all of it's Fusion-research agencies, both Federal and Central, will see a massive reduce in costs. This can prove especially useful is reducing the cost of fusion-power research and eventually fusion-power itself. The N.A.F also has many fusion-research agreements with other nations around the globe, more specifically the French Confederation and Zackorath, whom can also benefit from this.
Another use for a Moon base is also "the Moon-gun", which is not a weapon, but a very big tube-like launch pad that slings things from the Moon into Space. It can, in the long term, prove to be an effective and cheaper mode of supply for any settlement and station on Mars, Venus, and wherever.
This Moon-base is set to be officially established "eventually", with many predicting the early-stages being launched between either sometime this year or next year. Given that the Mars project was set for 2025, a Moon-base would take significantly less time given the proximity, but remember that it is not only a test for Mars, but also that the Moon is different from Mars. It has no atmosphere, receives more radiation, and has a significantly smaller amount of surface-gravity compared to Mars. Mars has around 38% of Earth's gravity, where has the Moon is only 16%, so it could possibly take just about as long or even longer than the Mars Project's predicted completion time in terms of perpetration. Other groups and media outlets have made their own time-predictions, but as quoted from Professor of Psychology, Albert Alesandro, "it would be best not to make the researchers and engineers involved feel socially obligated and pressured to meet an arbitrary deadline speculated upon and made popular by the media." As such, the project will be finished within the realistic time-frame of "eventually."

The Federal Government as well as collaborating central and private agencies are all cooperating on this project, much like the Mars-project, but this time Fusion-power agencies as well as other interested parties are diverting funds to the "Moon Project", making the estimated total funds: 1.6 trillion in Federal funds, as inherited from the Mars Project; an increase by 1.4 trillion as granted by the central governments of Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Pacifica, and the South; and finally an additional 247 billion in funds by private parties. The total funds for the project amount to 3.247 trillion dollars in total. The project's cost may look intermediating at first, but the benefits should hopefully out way it in the long-term and these are just the available funds, so the project may not consume it all.

Continued Wins for La Roja!

After the long, troubled game against the Argentine team, La Roja advanced to the semi-finals to face the Australian Socceroos. Faced with a team less known for it's ability, many Magellans expected an easy win. But prior to the match, the Socceroos had proved time and time again that they could overcome teams that are generally considered more talented, including the Andean Republic's.

This match was yet another testament to the Socceroos' ability. Possession of the ball was mostly split evenly between the two, until a Magellan offense player was able to slip past the Australian defense. The Socceroos' responded with passion and aggression, but were still unable to get past La Roja's defense until the second half, when the ball flew over them and allowed for an Australian goal. After the goal, the Socceroos remained in possession of the ball and almost made another goal, but fate was with La Roja and the ball did not go in. With only ten minutes left, La Roja scored the final goal, and won the game 2-1.

The fan response was immediate. There was no violence, as in the match against the Espalsian Argentine team, but the deafening cheers seemed to shake the ground. After the match, fans turned to the streets to party harder than before, for La Roja had made it into the final and only needed to win one more game to win the World Cup. Set to face Italy's The Blues in the final (OOC: Ha that's funny, the reds vs the blues haha), turnout for the game is expected to be even higher than the Argentine match, and TV pick-up measures will be taken again in order to ensure that all fans are able to watch the match.

Espalsian Backlash

The Magellan football team, La Roja, faced the Argentine team in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in what is called "one of the most tumultuous matches ever", for violence during and after the game by both players and fans of both sides. Brawls occurred and weapons were smuggled into the stadium, and many fans had to be detained, although there were no serious or fatal injuries to any Magellan citizens. Afterwards, isolated incidents of violence continued during Magellan celebrations, including some over the popularized meme about Lionel Messi shown to the right.

The Ministry of the Exterior of Espalsio released an official statement condemning the Puertollanoan police for its supposed inability to prevent such brawls, and the Puertollanoan Minister of Police responded in kind to refute the accusations. The Magellan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Heraldo Muñoz, made a statement:

The match between La Roja and the Argentine football team in the 2018 World Cup currently taking place in Bogotá, Puertollano was a troubled one, for both fans and players. Incidents of violence occurred between fans of both sides, and many were detained. These fights, although unfortunate, were inevitable and unavoidable, at least without the use of mind-reading techniques, as the Puertollanoan Minister of Police put it. Such actions are being discouraged, and will continue to be discouraged, at least in the case of Magellan fans; however, we will continue to respect our citizens' rights to celebrate and support the team of their choice. No fans of La Roja will be prosecuted for singing the national anthem of Magella in celebration, and it is ludicrous that the Espalsian Ministry of the Exterior even suggest such action. We will not restrict our citizens' freedom of speech for singing our National Anthem. It is not within the rights of their Ministry to even request such a thing, and we request a retraction of that statement. In addition, the Espalsian Ministry of the Exterior's investigation into the police of Bogotá is a waste of time, money, and effort for all involved. However, unlike their Ministry, we will not overstep our bounds and demand for its ending.

The Association of Sports of Espalsio also called for a doping check for La Roja, due to the Argentine loss. The Football Federation of Magella has called such tests "unnecessary", and has maintained a stance that no La Roja player participated in illegal practices. The Federation has encouraged the test in order to prove to the many disillusioned Argentine fans that the game was as fair as possible, but has submitted a similar inquiry for the Argentine team "in the interest of fairness".

There has been no official word on Espalsio's ban on public Christmas celebrations, besides a tweet from a politician from a border province calling the ban "illogical" and "doomed to fail".

ESS Launches, largest space station in history!

Today the European Space Station(ESS) launched from the ESA launching point. It marks the first German lead project in the ESA and only the second time the GU or 2nd Prussian Empire ever worked outside of the German National Space Association(GNSA). However not much is known about the ESS other than it will host a DEU crew and be open to all DEU member states national space associations for use through the DEU as well as use for the ESA (with ESA taking priority).

People watching at home! Welcome to the World Cup 2018 Final Match between the Magellan Republic and Italy

Yes ladies and gentlemen, this night will not end without the giving of the World Cup trophy! And also we would like to welcome our friend from Australia here helping cover the World Cup Finals, the ever dashing Jessica Nate Sanchez. Good evening to you mate, is that how you pronounce it. Hahaha.

Hahaha. Thank you for having me here guys, its such a pleasure to be watching the World Cup with such great guys.

Indeed. Let's get into the games shall we?

Our final game of the World Cup was attended by more than 112,000 people of all nationalities, the stadium didnt have the capacity to hold such many people, therefore large TV screens were set up around the stadium for the excess people to watch for free. And might I say that the security was top of its class, added guards and police men and I think I saw one, no two choppers flying a while ago. I love choppers!

Now thats another story.

The match started with a huge thundeering of cheers as the fans of both opposing teams roared their support.

Both teams were able to cross each other's half and lay volleys on the goal post, but it was clear that the European side had a far more complex strategy of mixing their defense and offense to their advantages. Early into the 8th and 15th minutes, the Magellan Republic found itself into several offsides and foul trouble, with about 4 fouls called on them and a yellow card just 20 minutes into the game. The Italian offensive play was able to keep possession throughout the first 33 minutes, keeping the Magellan offense at bay and preoccupying the Magellan defense at that.

But at 37th minute, an Italian right corner kick was able to pass nicely to an Italian player on the box, but the stadium was silenced as a Magellan player made contact unintentionally to the Italian player at the groin area. The Italian player was hastily rushed by fellow players and a medical team was rushed to help the player out of the field. Because of the contact, the Italian team was given a penalty kick. The whole stadium silenced with anxiety as the Italian kicker kicked.

The Italian keeper faked his move and the Magellan keeper went flying to his right, opening his left for an open kick. The Italian player quickly passed to a teammate to his left as the Magellan players rushed to tackle him for a loose ball. The Italian forward kicked, and the crowd roared with delight and disappointment! The kicker hit the goalpost and the ball went flying away from the post towards a Magellan defender who quickly rushed to pass it to his teammate who was quickly running towards the Italian defense of less than 3 defenders.

Australian fans cheered mightily as the Magellan team appeared to show the quick offensive counter-attack the Australians have loved and mastered and one strategy the Magellans had faced prior to the Finals qualifiers. The midfielder passed the ball to the left for a striker bypassing 2 Italian defenders, and the striker rushed towards the goal post. The remaining Italian defender quickly matched up with the Magellan striker and was able to temporarily hold possession, to the cheers of the crowd, but a slip made him lose the possession and the Italian striker once again pushed to end the counter-attack. With a one two step he kicked the ball towards the post. The stadium cheered with roared. The Italian keeper saved it clean. The striker's kick was too weak and was able to be predicted by the keeper.

The first half ended 0-0, a score table worth to have an exciting end. As the teams went back for a halftime break, the crowds took turns in singing their national anthems, Japanese, French, German, Australian and North American fans sung with pride. 2 Mexican waves were even made by the crowd as the World Cup song was played on the speakers of the Stadium. Outside, the streets were devoid of activity,except on streets outside the stadium where thousands have stayed to watch the match happening outside, as if all were watching the new Game Of Thrones Season or watching the World Cup Finals.

A buzzer rang to signal that the teams should resume their places in the field. The crowds once again cheered as the teams walked out of the tunnels.

Prt! And the whistle blew for the start of the second half. Rejuvenated and pep talked by their respective coaches. The second half proved to have been more of a huge battle for supremacy, as now each team gained equal amounts of possession and shots on goal. Each team's goalkeepers played remarkably, saving shots and deflecting kicks. As if in slow mow, the match was beginning to bog down as the players were quickly tiring.At the 67th minute Magellan Republic substituted their midfielder. The substitution proved a table turner as the substituted player was able to cross the tired Italian soldiers onward to a brave long pass for to a striker's kick. GOAL!! The stadium, no, the whole city roared as a goal had finally arrived at the 71st minute mark. The Italian team was awestruck. Nonetheless they kept their composure.

The start ball was quickly passed for a quick offensive play, with the 3 Italian strikers passing the ball to each other to confuse the Magellan defenders and to tire them out. Though exhausted themselves, the Italian strikers were able to by pass the defense and fake played the Magellan keeper once again for an easy open kick on the right corner! GOALL!! And another rain of cheers and thundering claps echoed through the stadium as the Italian Blues embraced each other. Time: 79:41, score was even.

At the 83rd mark, just 7 minutes before game time. The Italian team made a huge group substitution, changing 2 of their strikers and a midfielder. Showing the crowds that they were going to put the whole game to an end with an offensive push. And so they were, at the 88:10 the match looked on to a Italian push as quick passing and motion helped edge the Magellans into a confusion. Once again the Italian offense kept possession just outside the box. The substituted Italian midfield, holding the ball, kicked for a pass towards the box where Magellan and Italians were waiting for it to come. But an Italian player was the first to reach it and aimed his head towards the goalpost. The whole stadium was shell shocked as the ball bounced against the goal post and fell towards the goal keepers hands. A scene such as that of the early minutes. The goalkeeper quickly long passed the ball to the waiting Magellan players on the Italian half.

The Blues were able to score after just 8 minutes of the Magellan goal

Reminiscent of the earlier Australian styled counter-attack, the Magellan team was able to land a resounding strike from over 33 meter kick from the Magellan midfielder in the left field. The ball went flying through the Italian defenders towards the goalkeeper who at first didnt see it coming. And like a slow mow again, the ball was going to the top right corner of the Italian goal post. The Italian keeper was able to reach on it, the ends of his fingers touching it,ready to deflect it. But sadly, he didnt push it enough the ball went hard into the right corner of the post. The score board changed the Magellan score to 2, and the crowds cheered. The Italians hastily tried to mount a comeback with just 39 seconds left and an extra added 2 minutes, but it was over. The Magellan Republic were the 2018 World Cup Winners!

Now that's what you call true World Cup glory! Right Alan?

It surely is Jessica. The match was ended with a quick shaking of hands between the two sides. Although the Italians showed their resiliency, you could very much feel that they were sad of losing. The World Cup President started with a speech before the presenting of the WC Trophy.

What a wonderful game indeed. I cant say how much I enjoyed the game. Two impressive teams that gave their heart for the game. But, one must always get the trophy. And that my friends is the Magellan Republic! The team has finally reached the ultimate goal, congratulations to their staff and players and all who did their best in reaching football's ultimate stage! My goodness Jessica and Alan, the cheers and banging of bottles echoed through the stadium as if there would be no more tomorrow. The players of the Magellan team quickly raised their coach and happily sprayed him champagne and they pointed their fingers towards the sky. It was a sight to behold. But it doesnt end there. The hosting rights ceremony came afterwards with the Puertollano Football association president giving a short message to the next bidders. I think you know it very well whose hosting Jessica. Hahaha

Puertollano, let it roar! Haha. This World Cup 2018, has been nothing short of a success for our country. We are very much happy to host such prestigious event that includes world-class talent from across the globe. And all this wouldnt have come to fruition if it hadnt been for all our fans here, many of who have gone long distances to support your teams. Please, give a resounding ovation for yourselves. But all good things mustn't come to an end. Though the World Cup 2018 has finally concluded tonight with our winners taking the bacon back to their country, the World Cup spirit will live on! And no better country to host the next World Cup 2022, but Australia! Yes you heard me right! The next World Cup will be in Australia. Hahaha. There you go Australian fans!

FSR ANNOUNCES MOON BASE PROGRAM

The American announcement that they intended to establish a permanent base on the Moon before 2025 has prompted the FSR's space program to make an announcement regarding the FSR's own plan to establish a a moon base earlier than intended. Unsuprisingly, the FSR's plan relies on the FSR's space station. The plan calls for five launches to the station, the first of which is a propulsion module to actually get the FSR's moon base to the moon. The second launch will be two modules, a life support unit and a cargo module. Instead of launching the cargo module empty, it will be launched carrying experiments and rovers to be deployed onto the moon's surface as well as other materials for the mission. These modules will not bring their own tug, and once in orbit will rely on Unity Station's own cargo craft to act as a tug and dock them to the propulsion module, already attached to the station by then. The third trip to the station will carry an additional propulsion module, allowing for the moon base to be transported to the moon in two parts. The next launch will be a series of solar panel racks for powering the base, and spare parts for the moon base. The last launch to the station will be the only crewed launch. It will carry three yet to be selected astronauts on a rather large lander. With this lander, it will carry a small hydroponic farm to test the possibility of growing crops on the Moon. Later trips to the moon may evaluate the possibility of metal and fuel mining.

Pan-European political alliance

In a major development towards continental politics crossing national and ideological boundaries, the European Political Society has been established. Currently comprised of three parties from the Italian URT, two from the Sixth Republic, and one from the Fregantes URT, the alliance will allow for parties across Europe to cooperate on issues of shared interest and better advocate for DEU progression. Prime Minister Lamar, the head of the French Confederation's Republican Party, has confirmed that 'membership of the Society "was decided by an internal party membership vote, and chosen due to our party's pro-DEU stance."

DEU Periphery Partnerships

The DEU Assembly has voted in favor of two 'Periphery Partnerships'. The DEU will now remove the EIM common external tariff on certain goods such as oil and steel from Persia, and oil alone from Libya, in exchange for removed tariff protections on the DEU EIM, who remain supported by the Prosperous Farming Zone. Overall, this represents a major triumph for the DEU as it is the first time in history that trade deals have been concluded at a continental level. What began as a free trading area within Europe has over the last three years emerged into a dominant payer in global markets, that both protects the European market, while also being able to engage directly with their neighbors in order to achieve mutually beneficial arrangements.

Atlantic and European arms deals

The French Confederation this week purchased eighty UI-92 bomber aircraft from the North American Federation. This is a significant increase in capabilities for the Sixth Republic and their dominions, who previously had been reliant on aircraft who could only deliver smaller payloads at lesser ranges. The cost of these aircraft were believed to be somewhere in the region of $4.9 billion (NSDs). While normally this would shatter the Confederation's budget, a particular concern given the recent Emergency Procurement Bill of 2018, the sale of an aircraft carrier due for early retirement from Sixth Republic service following the purchase last year of the carrier Normandy has offset this. The URT purchased the perfectly capable, combat tested and still modern, aircraft carrier for $5 billion (NSDs). While many analysts may view this as being sold at an inflated value, it has allowed for the Confederation defense budget to remain perfectly balanced.

Zackaroth announces Project Mogadishu for ZAC.

Today the High Leader announced a new initiative to help ZAC's struggling economy after the wake of the Askkum collapse. Coining it Project Mogadishu, after the city in the extremely underdeveloped Somalia. The project is intended to target each of ZAC's state's underdeveloped assets and develop them further to bring these states into line with Zackaroth proper. The High Leader outlined each state and the goals. He said the goals have are intended to synergize and realign the ZAC with Zackaroth's and eventually combine the two for an economic powerhouse that may rival even the superpowers of the world.

Eritrea Goals

Eritrea one of the countries being named a "Bread Basket" state. It has many agriculture opportunities that has not yet been explored and could be a major producer and exporter of food to both Zackaroth, Middle East and/or Africa as well. Eritrea can be a major producer of barley, beans, dairy products, lentils, meat, millet, leather, sorghum, teff, and wheat. Thus Zackaroth is investing in this industry heavily, as well sending government advisors to teach would be farmers on how to safely use the land to prevent a situation similar to the American Dustbowl in the 1930s. Another big boon is the fishing industry. Since Zackaroth controls most of the Red Sea, fishing rights are not longer an issue with the country and thus could become an important economic sector within the state.

Another potential sector is the countries untapped mineral deposits. It is suspected Eritrea has a number of untapped areas filled with gold, granite, and marble. Right now, Zackaroth is surveying prospective locations to begin mining operations but also considering foreign nations to pay for the right to start their own exploration for minerals as well selling rights to mines to outside companies. This would be a first for Zackaroth but it is still something that is being heavily debated within Zackaroth itself.

Finally, oil is also being explored. Eritrea was never a massive oil producer but it also has never explored much of its lands to see how much is possible. So far results have been good as exploration teams have found oil within the Dismin Block, an area resides in northeast Eritrea. Their are also said to be major deposits of oil under the Red Sea and again since Zackaroth controls much of it, exploration teams have sent to see what is within the area of ZAC as a whole.

Djibouti

Djibouti is described as probably the most problematic of the ZAC countries to develop a plan for. The country is very barren and does not contain much natural resources. Instead Zackaroth is zeroing in on its very economic and lucrative position in the Red Sea. The plan is to increase the countries ports and aim to make it a massive trading and refueling center for countries leaving or entering the Red Sea. They also plan on trying to encourage the fishing industry. Djibouti has a very large unskilled labor force so Zackaroth is looking at sending those who do don't have jobs to other areas of ZAC to fill in for man shortages as well as opening up trade schools for people to learn to perhaps fill in for shortages that are within Zackaroth itself.

Ethiopia

Ethiopia is another designated breadbasket state. Under Askkum the nation was a major supplier of food to Zackaroth and thus it sought to be turned into one again. Coffee, pulses (e.g., beans), oilseeds, cereals, potatoes, sugarcane, and vegetables are all major exports in Ethiopia and thus like all Breadbasket states, Zackaroth will seek to improve, teach and find land for farmers interested in pursuing such a course. However, Zackaroth is aware the state is prone to outbreaks of famine and thus is trying to keep even export and internal sectors to ensure a future disaster does not occur.

Coal, opal, gemstones, kaolin, iron ore, soda ash, and tantalum as well as gold are all available within Ethiopia's mining sector. However, for the last several years on gold has been mined in any big quantity. This is something Zackaroth looks to correct and is currently sending survery teams to report back locations of other minerals to create new mines. While these minerals may not be impressive, they are in large quantities and can be sold on the international market place for economic improvement.

Finally, once again oil is on the mind of Zackaroth and while Ethiopia is not a known exporter of oil, Zackaroth is hopeful that a sizeable quanity will be found within the Gambela Region of the state.

Somalia
Somalia has always been an outlier, a very poor state even within Askkum. Many of its people had left to find jobs either in Zackaroth or Askkum itself. This has attributed to very high rate of dispora that has only worsened the economic downturn in the state. Zackaroth is planning to change that and Somalia will be its most ambitous project on this list, a reason why its capital is the name of said project. It is considered a breadbasket state as the country is able to produce a massive amount of livestock and meats. With the Zackarothian religious demographic now changing with the inclusion of ZAC, much more of this meat will edible among the non-muslims. Zackaroth is treading very carefully here as it helps the state expand this sector, keeping in mind hygienic standards as well ensuring not too much is taken.

However while Somalia is classfied as a breadbasket state, it can also be considered a hybrid as it has a massive amount of untapped minerals. Uranium, iron ore, tin, gypsum, bauxite, copper, salt and natural gas have all been surveyed within the state and a sort of "mineral" rush is happening with the state as Zackaroth is offering incentives for Somali people to return to their country to aid in mining these ores. It is also believed that Somalia has a massive untapped oil potential that is ripe for the picking. Survey teams from Zackaroth have said it is possible for the Puntland province to produce 5 billion to 10 billion barrels of oil. Already people are on the ground to begin setting up wells and refineries within the area. The hope is the untapped oil will provide many jobs and vastly improve the countries economic output. Not only that but it has been reported that Somalia contains a massive amount of uranium, something that Zackaroth hopes to turn into a massive profit for the state.

Kenya
Finally, Kenya is the last nation on the list. Probably an outlier to all of ZAC and Zackaroth, nonetheless the Project includes plans for them. Kenya is neither classified as breadbasket or mineral state. While it can and does both of things, they do not rule over the economy like in the other states. For agriculture, Kenya produces tea, coffee, sisal, pyrethrum, corn, wheat , coconuts, pineapples, cashew nuts, cotton, sugarcane, sisal, and corn. This sounds like alot but in reality its only the second largest area of their economy. This is because Kenya's climate which can vary between drought and flood very quickly. Infact only 7-8% of the land may be prime fertile soil. Zackaroth is looking to change that and is exploring options in hypochondriac farming for its easier produced fruits and vegetables.

Kenya also does not have many minerals or natural gas options but they are being explored. Soda Ash is its biggest natural resource exported but some survey teams suspect Kenya may also house an unexpected and big amount of gold.

Kenya's biggest industry by far is tourism and that is what what the project is honing in on. Tourism experts from Bahran are working closely with Kenya to make it "The Bahran of Africa". Work is going into promoting and refurbishing tourist areas to make them more attractive for clients from all over the world. Its been reported the High Leader himself is considering building a second home in Kenya for the annual vacation but it is unknown if this is to spark interest from the Zackarothian people or a legitimate move. When asked if is a good idea for Kenya and Bahran to compete as tourist states a rep said "We aim to make the experiance of visiting Kenya different from Bahran. Similar to the American states of Hawaii and Florida, they may be similar but at the end the day provide something different for people". While Bahran focuses alot of its attention on European vistors, Kenya may aim for African and Middle Eastern people.

Australian Investments

Australia has made a considerable investment in the Corporate State of Krasendof. We will be leasing out port space in Habsburgstadt for a TransGen shipyard to open up. The shipyards will provide medium-skill jobs for citizens struggling to find employment, and currently in jobless holding facilities. It will also give a chance for Krasendof and Australian, engineers, scientists, and architects to come together and perhaps improve relations between our two great nations. Australia has also invested in the Communications department. Argue CyberSecurity will now be providing internet and basic communication security services across Krasendof; Of course this is not a big deal to those living on the coast, but those living in the rural interior of Krasendof may find themselves having acceptable internet speeds now.

The ideological differences between our two nations made co-operation and openness on this level seem highly unlikely. However we sit here today with the Australians investing in our country and the Dr. Krieger and the rest of the corporations letting them. But who knows how closely they will be watched as they have access to important Krasendof shipbuilding and communications information.

Krasendof Calls For Peace In Africa

Dr. Krieger made an announcement today stating his wish to see the Conflict in Nigeria come to something of an end."I have seen war first hand, I have served in foreign armies and conflicts around the world. I lost a brother in the meaningless short lived Zambian war. So I understand what that does to people, the kind of nightmare that is forced upon civilians and innocent children, who may be growing up in such a world. I would like to call for at the very least, a cease-fire. Should Nigeria remain a global war zone within the next couple months, Krasendof may join a side, depending on which side is most committed to peace.". It sounds as though we may be entering the ever more confusing Nigerian Civil war. That would be a sad day, however someone like Dr. Krieger who understands what war does to innocents may be having heart strings tugged on a little. Only time will tell what our brave young men will be doing in a couple months.

The Government of Ukraine has sealed some deals with the governments of Australia and The GU.
Both will ensure thousands of jobs and a new income revenue for the government of Ukraine.

Australia will lease the port of Krasna Kosa, the development project Ukraine for jobs and stability for the province of Moldova, this deal will ensure that Krasna Kosa will become a booming city before 2025 and be susceptible for more investments, the deal worth 2.01 billion dollars will fund the develping infrastructure and housing projects that are to take place in the near future. UBM has also expressed interest in Krasna Kosa with hopes of taking part in technological advancement and partnerships with the government to store data like billings and spending towards this project along side developing a new public transport design for the future city. UBM may be taking action and expressing its interest towards investing in australia and expand Ukrainian's place in the IT world industry. The Ukranian government has been funding technology companies like UBM and Golsiç Tech. in order to grow its IT business alongside govong scholarships towards STEM majors. That being said, Australia and Ukraine agreed on a Visa Free travel and a program for Ukrainian students to study STEM withing Australia and even gain experience.

Meanwhile Germany, an old economic and social ally. Ukraine and Germany have agreed on a weapons deal that will greatly influence relations and the Ukrainian economy. Ukraine will be granted manufacturing roghts towards the Panavian Tornadoes for 1.5 Billion dollars. The SNL will quickly integrate these new Multi-Role Aircraft into its airforce and the Navy. This new deal between the GU and Ukraine will open up thousands of jobs all across the country.

The Government of the SNL has also formally congratulated the government of France on joining the Transcontinental Pact, The government of Ukraine has expressed its joy in seeing such a reliable ally join the bloc.

The SNL has also began building multiple train stations along the Transcontinental railroad towards the USSR. These train stations are to be built wirh high standars and quality as it will be "the first impression to many" said director of public transportation in Poltava
