GU Calls for peace

In a joint statement between the minister of foreign affairs and the Prime Minister, Germany still wishes for the most peaceful solution possible, and would prefer a referendum carried out by the CSN to be given to the Bulgarian people. Germany still wishes to hold very positive relations with the DF as they are too German speaking people. However Germany is no pushover and that the Bismarck Doctrine will be upheld and should be respected, after all it was created to push nations into pursuing a peaceful outcome to their problems.

However the GUAF has also stated it is taking any precautions deemed necessary, including the announcement that 50 aircraft are being sent to the Fregantes Empire including 20 Apache AH-64Ds and 30 Kaiserins. In addition the Union has activated 9 reserve divisions to Austria to add to the 5 active divisions already stationed there. They will begun to take defensive positions in case the DF decides to go on the offensive.

State of Emergency!

In the morning, the Senate received the news if the failure of a conference. The Danubian Federation tried to host this conference regarding the current crisis in Balkans, and invited New Metropolitan France, the Germanic Union, the Ottoman Empire and Italy. The Empire however, was barred from this conference. The French government responded accordingly to thi situation and decided not to attend, effectively shattering any sort of legitimacy the DF tried to achieve.

When the attempt failed, the DF issued emergency protocols, and readied itself for war.

Although fanatical of peace, the Empire cannot just sit and wait. 13:00 UTC+3, the Senate declared a state of emergency, and granted emergency powers to Chancellor Lauros. The Chancellor then contacted the Ministry of Defence. The phone call isn’t made public, however, a part of it was leaked: ”The meat is well-cooked, prepare the shish-kebab” . Many think that this is a code, and something important will happen.

Preaparations

15:00, The Northern Border
The news reached to the military High Command in Thessaloniki. The order was given, and the High Command alerted General Kepridis Jaques to commence phase two. One hour later, the soldiers were inside the fortifications, consisted of bunkers, little hill camps and artillery positions. The soldiers waiting in front of the Albanian and Bulgarian borders were provided fast transport vehicles, and the divisions were made ready for their operation. The warning shots of the Danubians hit the border, and the Fregantese officers laughed at this waste of ammunition.

15:30, Piraeus-Metropolitana Atheneia
While Thessaloniki was preparing its defences, the citizens of Athens were stunned when they saw fifteen ships approaching. But then, the ships stopped. And they were lost in the horizon. A little panic happened, but was quickly dealt with. The Ministry of Defence states that those fifteen ships, with other seven Victoria class submarines, were purchased from the NAF. The purchase was to remain confidential until the arrival of the ship to the Aegean Sea.

The Naval Command in Piraeus announced that the original Fregantese navy was stationed in Corfu, ready to move to the Ionian Sea once the order was given. The new fleet was order to be stationed in Naxos, to aid the main fleet if necessary, and guard the Aegean Sea.

17:00, Thessaloniki
The Fregantese airforce was in position in Thessaloniki, for at least a week. Reinforcements were sent from Athens, and supplies were being readied. And then, the fifty German aircraft, sent from the GU, arrived. Although the people were happy to see that the Germans were there to help them in their cause, they also knew what this meant, war was becoming more probable, as minutes flew by.

One Last Call For Peace

The Fregantes Empire is founded on the ideals of peace and prosperity. However, this doesn’t mean that the Empire will obey warmongering states. Expansion through military force is unacceptable, and breaking the balance of power in the fragile Balkan region is intolerable.

As a one last try for a reasonable, diplomatic solution, Athens ended its silence and made a written statement. A copy of this statement was then sent to Budapest.

It is a great sorrow to see the current state of affairs. Since our foundation, we never declared war on a nation, and this, we don’t want to change. The Empire doesn’t wish to go to war, the Empire doesn’t hate you. In fact, the Empire wants to cooperate with you. We also founded many other institutions to facilitate the Mediterranean trade, and educate the masses in the world. We wanted to show the creative side of the human race, not the destructive one. We once again urge you to reconsider your interests in Bulgaria and Albania. Peoples of these two nations will not accept your authority, if you succeed in annexing them. This will trigger other separatist movements, which will shatter your diverse federation, despite the common “Danubian” identification. We don’t want to see this. Your federation is one of a kind, a bold experiment to show that people from many cultures can live in peace and harmony. We should also remind you that these conquests will not resurrect your beloved Empress. You must fulfill her legacy, and champion peace above fanaticism. We urge you to back down, or many will die, even without the Fregantese involvement, many of your soldiers, soldiers with families will die. Many Bulgarians and Albanians will be dead and cities like Sophia and Tirana will be nothing more than ash. For the sake of humanity and reason. We urge you to reconsider. Wake up from your rage.

State Visit to Tehran!

Despite the ongoing crisis, the Emperor Maxvellein Relhophen Fregantes went to Tehran for his long delayed state visit. The Emperor boarded his jet at 08:00, and after a three hour flight, he was in Tehran International Airport. He was then greeted by a Persian entourage, and was escorted to the main state building. There, the Emperor met the Persian Prime Minister Davud Akbar. The discussion between the two leaders isn’t made public yet. After the discussion, the Emperor gave a little speech in the Persian Parliament, commending peace, prosperity and everlasting cooperation between nations, especially that of Fregantes Empire and Greater Persia. He also condemned expansionist policies of the Danubian Federation. After that, he attended to the Congress of the Social Democrats. At 19:00, he boarded his jet, and went back to Athens. During his visit, he said to a news reporter, “I am quite saddened, because of the shortness of my visit. As a compensation, I will invite the Prime Minister to Athens in future for three days!”

Such a progressive and caring Empire is the image the government wants to project it seems, however many suspect malicious intent, due to a new government statement:
"Oil tankers through the Suez are being limited greatly! They are horribly polluting vessels which could ruin the beautiful canal's waters while we carry out some more tests. Vital, non-oil produce is being allowed through the canal."

Strait blocked for Danubian ships

Esteban de Cortez isssued an order to block the stait of Gibraltar for all vessels to the Danubian federation carrying oil or military equipment. The move was made to prevent potential aggression by Budapest. Espalsio values peace and will not tolerate another pointless war in Europe. The PM assured that the strait will be open for the Danubian ships once they cease any aggressive moves.

Puertollano establishes "Confederation of Nativist Islands"

President Nicolo Castillo and High General Hugo Chavez, after a long meeting in Bogota early today, have now finally announced the establishment of the "Confederation of Nativist Islands", a democratic representative of the people's of the Seal Island, Dog Island, Sombrero Island and The Prickly Pear Cays. This Confederation of Islands will be kick-started with the help of Puertollano, Puertollano pledging to subsidise a proper administration building for the government, opposition and for legislation crafting. This action will declare those islands previously mentioned above, as an independent South America Government, rather than under the jurisdiction of a foreign European Power. While none of the islands have any residence, it is permitted that other natives from the West Indies can run for office in this new Confederation, but it is clear in the constitution (that Puertollano aided in creating), that no foreign citizens are allowed to run. In the constitution it prohibits the creation of military infrastructure, disallows the possible unification with foreign powers and places a large emphasis on the local environment. The Government's role would be small, matching that similarly to a local council. Waste disposal, tourism, overall cleanliness and the Chairman (the elected leader) would be the official diplomatic spokesperson. Puertollano has set out to guarantee this nation its sovereignty as the Puertollanoan blockade ceases. Any take-over of the islands would be considered a declaration of war against Puertollano. The British government has reportedly offered Fregantes Sturmtruppen soldiers to assist in their defencive efforts. the soldiers will surely be an asset to the country, and will allow them to get excellent training.

Money needs to come from somewhere
Increased military, education, and healthcare spending has crippled the budget, and the government plans a new emergency budget this week. "This past government has done nothing but waste our money on over glorifying themselves and making new systems when we can not afford the current."
It is supposedly reducing spending in public transport, industry endorsements, and foreign aid. Foreign aid takes up a substantial part of the budget.
Top British economists reckon that a reduce in military spending would help immensely, however the government is stubborn on the contribution to defence.

The NNWA(National Neighbourhood Watch Association) and NCPC(National Child Protection Committee) issued a joint statement warning of the numerous dangers that could fall upon the local residents along the DF border from criminals in the DF possibly escaping during the war and entering Italy and ravaging local communities to children living on the border possibly wandering across, getting lost, and possibly being killed, while it seems highly unlikely that the child could die due to (hopefully) lack of fighting on the DF-Italian border the NCPC said that "We cannot risk anything." representatives from the coalition of local authorities, NNWA and NCPC all attended the CNSS meeting to help reach the given conclusion. The Minister of The Interior has said that he does not wish for this action to harm relations between Italy and the DF and that: "This action is only for the safety of Italian citizens on the DF border, I'm sure the people of the Danubian Federation will understand our predicament. The Social Democratic Union Congress occurred, a massive success that saw party members reaffirm their support for the government of Prime Minister Davud Akbar. The Danubian Federation Declares War

The Directory released in the morning that the Danubian Federation issued an official declaration of war against Bulgaria. This action is not to be taken lightly, as nations such as Germany, France, and the Fregantes Empire have vowed to unjustly entangle themselves in Balkan affairs in yet another attempt by the European powers to hold the Federation down. A final announcement to said powers has been released by the Directory.

The history of the Danubian Federation is not one that is pleasant. This, however, is because we choose to acknowledge history for what it is, for it is a constant struggle between people groups in trying to achieve ultimate dominance over each other. Once again have the European powers attempted to hold down our peoples in achieving our destiny, once again have they attempted to humiliate us. To this, the Directory will not obey. To this, the Danubian Federation and the Danubian peoples will not be held down -- for what has these European powers ever done for us? We had an Empire and prestige, but they split it up and sold our land off as an auction. When our peoples were finally united, we were once again split apart by Communists and the West. When we finally unified for the final time, Europeans entangled themselves in a great civil war in our Slavic jurisdiction. And now, within the last month, they've butchered our Empress. Yet again do they attempt to hold back our destiny, but this time they will be met with brutal and final resistance. We are a diverse people, but under the dual-headed eagle we prosper. This is our chance to take yet another step closer to achieving the dreams of our fallen monarchy, but it is these European powers that wish for this to never occur. It is with this statement that the Danubian Federation embarked into a process of fully converting the economy and military into a wartime state. Absolute Mobilization in the Danubian Federation

The Danubian Federation is in a state of absolute mobilization as it is expected that foreign European powers intervene and declare war against the Federation.

In response to the closing of the Gibraltar Straight and the Suez Canal to Danubian transport, the entire population of the Danubian Federation has taken it upon themselves to survive under the tough conditions of living that are expected. The Directory has released a crisis law that all private automobile transportation is completely banned to save oil. Public transport to unnecessary civilian centers has been cut down, and public transport connecting to their people and their jobs or schooling are the only guarantees. Special passes have been distributed to members of the Danubian Federation in order to quickly get to their posts of operation, and emergency services are permitted to maintain their vehicles and duties. The government has also released that food will now be rationed to the Danubian peoples in concordance to how many people make up each family.

Thousands of Danubian troops have been distributed to all borders around the Danubian Federation. This includes 395,000 troops on the German border, 125,000 troops on the border between Danubian occupied Calindelo and the Calin mainland, 130,000 troops on the Ukrainian border, 25,000 troops on the Fregantes border, and 200,000 troops on the Bulgarian border. It was released that over the days building to war with Bulgaria, the Danubian Coast Guard has placed thousands of mines along the Adriatic Coast of the Danubian Federation. This is not a sign of hostility to the Italian Republic, but is for the defense of the Federation. The Danubian Navy in the Mediterranean has been completely recalled and will see port, weapons on these ships have been stripped and hidden in secret locations. They are expected to be used by the government in future operations. The Danubian Navy in the Black Sea maintains a defensive status over the Danubian coastline.

The National Guard has called all civilians fit for service (and who are in their inactive years of conscription) to be called to build defenses along the Danubian coasts and the border between the German Union and the Danubian Federation. The thousands of civilians called for this construction will be given pardon and immunity status from their jobs at home, and will be paid for their work. All civilians fit for active service (and who are in their active year of conscription) have been called to the Danubian border to arm the thousands of AA guns along the Danubian border, and work in hidden radar outposts (radar outposts are hidden in discrete civilian locations.

Through these efforts, the Danubian Federation will prove victorious in her efforts.

Puertollano cuts ALL ties with the Ottoman Empire

In one fell swoop by the Puertollanoan Leadership, all ties that Puertollano previously had with the Ottoman Empire have been severed. Puertollano will no longer subsidise the nuclear reactor initiative, all infrastructure that has already been built (which is not much, since the project was frozen after the Ottoman admission into the DEU) has been bulldozed over and has been left for the Turks to clean up themselves. Puertollanoan Troops have left too, leaving their militarised border far less defended than beforehand. The Mutual Defence Pact has been cut, and Puertollano's membership to the European Progress Pact has been cut too. All staff in the Puertollanoan embassy to the Ottoman Empire have been re-called. Castillo was eager, yet saddened at the same time on the issue.

Betrayal in the most highest form has occurred. The EPP was established to be an alternative to the DEU hegemony, however the Ottoman Empire has given into the temptation of the nations that once militarily threatened them. They passively allow their lands to now be exploited, their oil to be exploited, and their people to be exploited. It is such a shame that a previous member of the resistance has fallen into the clutches of the DEU. Puertollano is always open to create a friendly relation with the Ottomans once again.

Formation of the Pacific Union

With talks with Micronesia progressing smoothly and the integration of the island nation expected within the next few days, Orbanis is considering creating a new orginization, the Alliance of Pacific Nations, or the APN. Essentially Japan under a new name, the Union will maintain all economic and social standards in Japan while including the cultures and customs of Micronesia. The APN is also formed to allow easier trade and military deployment through the region and enable the Pacific Revival Plan to have a strong base from which to operate. Prime Minister Ado has stated, "In light of this upcoming agreement with Peter Christian and the nation of Micronesia, Japan and the Orbanis Government will be creating this new 'nation' as I like to call it. It is Japan and Micronesia's way of creating an unified Pacific that puts freedom and democracy at the core of our beliefs." The announcement for the formation of the Alliance of Pacific Nations is expected to take place later this week.

Deep Sea Mines Open Off Guam

After talks concluded with the North American Federation earlier this week, Orbanis opens its first deep sea mine off the coast of Guam in the Marianas Islands. The mine will be extracting industrial metals such as copper, titanium, and iron from the seabed and is the first f 15 that will be operating in the region. The NAF and Orbanis are splitting the profits from this endeavor 50/50 . The mines are expected to yield around 3.5 Billion in minerals over the next year.

Severing Ties with Europe?

With the start of another war in Europe that is likely to start a war across the continent many companies in Orbanis are considering pulling out from European trade deals due to the instability in the region since Orbanis returned to the International Community. The companies would likely shift focus to the NAF, FSR, the APN when it forms, and the emerging 2nd Republic. The recent closure of the Suez Canal has also made the merchant marine reconsider using the canal as a major source of maritime trade. While this will not occur overnight, it is expected that trade with the region will gradually lessen over the coming weeks. Orbanis will retain diplomatic relations with Europe and DEU nations.

Fatal Flaw

In an inspection yesterday on the Orbanis Carrier Yamato a fatal flaw in the ship was discovered. The flagship of the surface fleet was brought in for routine maintenance when it was discovered that her stealth hull had created a dangerously unstable rolling period for the ship. This flaw make the ship easily able to flip in seas of 15 feet or more. With the rough seas of the Pacific the vessel has been deemed 'unfit for duty' and has be held in dock for now. The public outcry has been fierce with billions being poured into the ship's construction and development. The other two planned Yamato class carriers were stricken from the military budget and the funding is now being diverted to underwater vessels such as the I-500 and the Doryoku to further improve and expand the ships. The fate of the Yamato remains to be seen, but it is likely she will be decommissioned and sold for scrap or to the highest bidder.

Zackaroth begins to demilitarize its borders with the Ottoman Empire

Today military forces in Syria began pulling back from the Ottoman Empire's borders in a show of good faith between the two countries. With Pueteronello leaving the country, along with its troops, Zackaroth no longer sees the need to keep tensions high. The borders have returned to normal status and people may come and as they did before. The High Leader has called the decision to deescalate tensions a good one and hopes that Zackaroth and the Ottomans can normalize relationships soon along with Persia. "The time for tensions in the Middle East has passed. We cannot be forced against one another by religious, economic, or other nation's reason. The three biggest countries within the Middle East have a duty to keep the peace between all three of us and to ensure the region does not descend into chaos like the years before. I look forward to working with the Ottomans in the future as well as strengthening our relations with Persia, which have grown stronger during this crisis"

External Relations: Istanbul Gazette

Thousands of demonstrators are cheering on the streets of Istanbul as the Ottoman Porte keeps making progress developing good relations with its neighbors. Many politicians are happy over the dissolution of the European Progress Pact. Particularly, the Grand Vizier Rejap Erdogan thanked the leadership of Zackaroth for their decision to pull their forces back. In response, the Ottoman Army began to decrease their presence in the area as well. The Porte hopes that Persia, Zackaroth, and the Ottoman Empire will start talks regarding the Middle Eastern Triad consisting of the three major powers of the region to keep peace and continue growing the relations.

Electricity and Economy: Diyarbakir Herald

Some villages in eastern Anatolia lost power after the Puertollanan workers destroyed the energy plants in the region. But the power is expected to be back soon as the French companies are expected to replace Puertollano in the Ottoman market. The governor of the Van province, Ertugrul Turkesh, said that the employment rates are increasing as many young people are getting employed in the construction and cleaning business.

Overall, the Ottoman economy is gradually growing as a result of the trade between the Empire, its DEU colleagues, and its neighbors. Particulary, the Ottoman Empire is planning to buy cheaper oil from Persia which will replace Puertollano as its biggest oil importer. Furthermore, a pipeline is expected to be built through Anatolia thus connecting Asia and Europe.

The Sultan hinted at the possibility of war between the Ottoman Empire and the Danubian Federation. Being former allies but now competitors, the Ottoman Empire cannot tolerate war so close to its capital Istanbul. The Sultan hinted that the Empire may declare war on the DF by saying:

Construction of 'Trieste-Class' Helicopter Carrier Begins After Government Looses Bid On Orbanis Carrier 'Yamato' To Greater Persia

The MoD has lost a bid on the small stealth carrier of the Orbanis navy to Greater Persia, that ended up paying 5 Billion for it despite it needing a complete overhaul of its hull design due to instability issues which prompted its sale in the first place. Due to the governments inability to purchase the vessel, which was to have a new hull installed and be converted into a helicopter carrier, the government has allowed Fincantieri, one of Italy's finest shipbuilders and the builders of some of the worlds biggest cruise ships, to begin building on a design that they had developed last year and petitioned the government to be funded to build it around the time that bidding started on Yamato. Since the government lost the bid they accepted the offer and a steel cutting ceremony was held at the Fincantieri shipyard to mark the beginning of the €1 billion project. The Trieste-Class is slightly larger than the Yamato yet it is only costing 1/5 of the price Greater Persia paid for a smaller ship that can't operate in waves over 15 feet without flipping. In theory the MoD could order 5 Trieste-class carriers for Persia's one smaller carrier, although the MoD is only looking at one for now. The ship shall be named ITS Thaon di Revel and will carry a consortium of helicopters, with a total hold of just over 20 helicopters, including small drones. The ship also has the capability of carrying 10 Dassault Rafales instead if the need should ever arise. The Deputy Minister of Defence, Francesco Colombo, attended the steel cutting ceremony and initiated the steel cutting machine in the absence of Roberta Pinotti who was at a cabinet meeting in Rome at the time.

Almost immediately after the end of the 2nd Calin Civil War, an anonymous tip was sent to the Calin intelligence claiming that a house in a small hill in south-east Poland was housing the last few members of the Free Slovak Rebellion. The tipper told intelligence that there were at least 35 members in the location and he provided photos, videos, and audio to prove the authenticity of the information. Nevertheless, the Government prepared 15 Calin EGWRC soldiers for battle.

The Group of EGWRC were met with no resistance, as the fascists were oblivious about the arrival of the soldiers, they sneaked and neutralized fascists roaming outside the house, after that they threw tear gas in every room visible in the house, 7 of the soldiers entered the house with gas masks and arrested everyone in the house, except for the ones that resisted arrest, they ended up getting shot and killed.

The arrested fascists were then transported to Krakow for prosecution, investigators searched the safe house of the Slovak Rebellion and found dozens of weapons originally from Calin bases in Slovakia and massive amounts of I.E.D. this suggests that the rebellion were planning an attack in Calindelo or in the Danubian Federation.

A total of 12 died during the siege and 28 were arrested, including Bien. They are now awaiting prosecution in Krakow.

The peace deal to end the 2nd Calin Civil War requires Calindelo to initiate a snap election, President Prochazka hesitantly agrees, and he held a NATIONWIDE election to determine the new political party to lead Calindelo, keep in mind, NATIONWIDE. Prochazka refused to allow asylum seekers to vote, including the Calin people in Danubian occupied Czechoslovakia. Prochazka implied that the government didn't have much funds, and the government is forced to hold elections in Calin occupied land, Foreign nations offered to cover the costs of holding the elections but Prochazka refused due to unknown reasons.

Some theories claim that Prochazka knew that the WFC were receiving popular support from Calin Refugees, so that he refuses to let migrants vote. If this is true, his plan failed, as the Socialists are leading the polls. Prochazka is urging the remaining people of Poland to vote, as he still have hope to win against the Socialists.

The voting process will end in October 15, 2017, and the votes will be recounted. The new president will be inaugurated into office in October 25, 2017.

A United Pacific

A massive ceremony took place today as the government of Orbanis and Micronesia met today and signed the Pacific Accords, a new document chartering the founding of the Alliance of Pacific Nation, better known as the APN. The APN will not have its own government until January and until then Orbanis and Micronesia will cooperate on any issues. The elections for national leaders will be held in December. The APN is expected to have a diverse set of issues it will deal with when it officially forms ranging from Pacific Defense to a single standard currency for the Pacific. Economics and underwater development are also high on the priority list. A few other nations in the Pacific such as the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and the Marshall Islands are expressing interest in possible admission or observer status to the APN, but they are mostly waiting to see the initial success or failure the APN will have in the coming weeks.

Sale of Carrier

After a bidding war between Italy and the Greater Persian State concluded earlier today the former ODN Yamato was sold to the Greater Persian State for 5 Billion NSD. The Yamato had been discovered to have a stability issue, preventing her from properly operating in the Navy, forcing the carrier to be decommissioned. Originally, the Navy was going to scrap the vessel but after it was contacted by the international community they decided to hold the stealth carrier for international auction. The ship will be towed to The Greater Persian State later today and once there she will begin a major refit on her entire hull. The vessel will loose her stealth capabilites due to this, but it will make her seaworthy. The Yamato line of carriers has been officially scrapped and no word has been given on what will be the new generation of flattops. For now the four amphibious assault carrier will be Orbanis's only operation flattops.

Military Evaluation

With the loss of Orbanis's only aircraft carrier, the military is re-evaluating its spending. The military was expecting an increase from 41 Billion to 90 Billion originally, but with global tensions mounting and the creation of the APN the military needs to expand from a local force to a regional one. This means more ships, more planes, and more boots on the ground to defend the Pacific. The APN is expected to cap military spending at around 140 Billion NSD, another 50 Billion more then previously held. This is once again coming from the nation's welfare system which is alarming many citizens. The Navy is now receiving half of the funding, 70 Billion NSD along with the 5 Billion from the Yamato sale to rebuild the fleet and bring it into the 21st century as a regional power. Adm. Hashimoto and his supporters have pushed through request form more submarines, interceptor craft, and funding for ASD International. Adm. Hashimoto has stated that his goal is to operate a 10 vessel fleet of large submersibles by the end of 2019, a massive increase from the current number of 24. Further he wants the small craft feet expanded from just over 100 to over 1,000 craft. If all this can be met remains to be seen, but if it is Orbanis and the APN will have the largest fleet beneath the waves.

The construction of the bloody pipe rendered a third of my property useless, and once they were done, I was left with mounds of dry dirt, not the cultivated land I had before hand! Because of this, I could only make two thirds of what I usually make, not that even with all of my crop being here would give me much of an income anyhow.

I see, very tragic. What has that caused for you?

My wife and I are now on war-level rations! I bet those poor people in the Danubian Federation are eating more than we are. I'm not much of a political kind of guy, but I am starting to realise a common trend. Massive Oil Reserves Found in Australian outback

With fluctuating oil prices now and then, the World Market has become more and more unstable for Bendicion's economy which relies on 50% of its economy in the manufacturing sector. With the recent trade agreement with Orostan bringing in more vehicles into the streets of the country, the demand for oil has increased by 20%, greatly causing shortages and creating long queue lines everywhere in the nation as its own current oil reserves are hard-pressed to supply the population.

However, the recent discovery of black gold in the outback town of Coober Pedy, a town of less than 4,000, the oil shortage might be going to end. A scientific research has predicted that the massive oil reserve holds about 233 Billion barrells of oil, which if added with the current oil reserves of 3.9 billion barrels, can account to Bendicion holding 12% of the global reserves.

The news of the discovery has made the country create special committees to ensure the exploitation of the oil for the public's use. About 10,000 jobs are to be created with the opening of the said special committees.

In other accounts, the government predicts that it would take a while before the oil is pumped out of the earth and put to good use. Although several environmental and minority rights groups have begun to protest on the subject of laying drills in the said location of the reserves.

Calindelo have suffered numerous casualties, one of the most prominent ones were the navy. Around the end of august, the now defuct New Polish State seized all of Calindelo's naval firepower, leaving the country navy-less. The NPS took the ships around the Baltic Sea and most of the ships were sunk by Russian and Prussian ships, out of the 56 naval assets, only 12 survived, and 9 of those took considerable damage.

Prochazka, or the presumed new leader of Calindelo, the socialist Natalia Kraszanka, has said nothing about the reorganizing of the Navy, so the Socialist States of Calindelo would need its waters defended by its allies.
